Speaker 1: Alright, got a couple of trailers for you. A couple
• 0:10
Speaker 1: of trailers that you can watch today while you're at work,
• 0:13
Speaker 1: because I know you don't work at work. We'll start
• 0:15
Speaker 1: with the first one. At first, when this was announced,
• 0:20
Speaker 1: I thought, do we need this? Okay. What? Now I'm
• 0:24
Speaker 1: convinced it's okay. I hope you all had a good
• 0:28
Speaker 1: holiday season. Please say hello to Carrie White. Make her
• 0:32
Speaker 1: feel welcome. Hi, I'm Sue, by the way. Hi. That's
• 0:37
Speaker 1: a really nice dress. Thanks. I made it. Sure did,
• 0:40
Speaker 1: didn't you? Yeah. So what do we do? Oh, so
• 0:44
Speaker 1: this is your first day, like, ever? I was schooled
• 0:46
Speaker 1: at home. Till today, I mean. Oh, I love that
• 0:49
Speaker 1: for you. Yeah. It's Carrie, the TV series. No one
• 0:53
Speaker 1: understands about what happened here in Chamberlain. You know, I've
• 0:57
Speaker 1: never seen the original movie. Oh, really? How is that possible?
• 1:00
Speaker 1: The press don't get it. The scientists don't get it.
• 1:03
Speaker 1: And you won't get it either. Yeah. This is the
• 1:06
Speaker 1: official series adaptation. October 7th. I want to know what
• 1:13
Speaker 1: they are teaching you. Why am I bleeding? Oh my gosh.
• 1:16
Speaker 1: Are you afraid they'll tell me things you don't want
• 1:18
Speaker 1: me to know? Help me! I can't spend the entire
• 1:22
Speaker 1: gym class. Those girls were out of control. She must
• 1:24
Speaker 1: have been scared. What's her name again? Carrie White. I'm
• 1:26
Speaker 1: more like Carrie Red. Bloody Carrie Red. What did they
• 1:29
Speaker 1: do to my daughter? We tried to help her. She
• 1:31
Speaker 1: was out of her mind. We filmed her. Does she
• 1:33
Speaker 1: really think she was dying? I mean, that's rough. Why
• 1:35
Speaker 1: didn't you tell me? Why on earth would I tell you?
• 1:37
Speaker 1: This is on Prime Video, the official trailer for the
• 1:41
Speaker 1: upcoming series. Oh, and it's current day. It's current day. So,
• 1:46
Speaker 1: of course, there's social media that makes it all worse. Ah,
• 1:50
Speaker 1: I see. You're not helping me. You need to shut
• 1:55
Speaker 1: up and listen to your mother. You could settle this
• 1:58
Speaker 1: right now, you know? You could actually hurt someone. Oh, no.
• 2:01
Speaker 1: This is what I get for trying to be nice.
• 2:02
Speaker 1: What is wrong with you? Now, the reason this is
• 2:06
Speaker 1: especially interesting is that it's Mike Flanagan. Okay. He's good.
• 2:12
Speaker 1: was to go to school. Yeah. Carrie stars Summer H.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: Howell as Carrie. Who's the mom? High school girl with
• 2:20
Speaker 1: telekinetic powers. Samantha Sloyan as Margaret White. It's mostly a
• 2:26
Speaker 1: cast of unknowns, except for Amber Midthunder. She's one of
• 2:30
Speaker 1: the teachers, and Matthew Lillard is the principal. And you
• 2:34
Speaker 1: know what? I just was watching the trailer, as you instructed,
• 2:37
Speaker 1: and they... all look like high school kids, which is
• 2:42
Speaker 1: different from the movie. They all are like grown adult
• 2:46
Speaker 1: people and don't look like high school kids. Pretending to
• 2:48
Speaker 1: be high school kids. These are high school kids. Oh,
• 2:50
Speaker 1: I'm excited about this. This is going to be very good.
• 2:54
Speaker 1: It says, Misfit high schooler Carrie White has spent her
• 2:58
Speaker 1: life hidden away inside the walls of her home with
• 3:00
Speaker 1: her fiercely protective mother, Margaret, after her father's sudden untimely
• 3:04
Speaker 1: death thrust her into the unforgiving ecosystem of public high school.
• 3:10
Speaker 1: Carrie is forced to navigate a viral bullying scandal that
• 3:13
Speaker 1: tears through her community, the relentless pressure and casual cruelty
• 3:16
Speaker 1: of the social media age, and the awakening of mysterious
• 3:20
Speaker 1: telekinetic powers that rise alongside her adolescence. All eight episodes
• 3:26
Speaker 1: start of Carrie will be released on October 7th. I
• 3:31
Speaker 1: guess that means you can binge them. Carrie was the
• 3:33
Speaker 1: first novel that Stephen King published. Oh, really? He wrote
• 3:39
Speaker 1: a bunch of stuff for, like, magazines. Oh. And this
• 3:42
Speaker 1: was the first, like, novel he was writing. And he
• 3:45
Speaker 1: was not happy with it, and he threw it in
• 3:47
Speaker 1: the trash. Mm-hmm. And his wife found it in the
• 3:49
Speaker 1: trash and pulled it out and read it. And she's like,
• 3:51
Speaker 1: why did you throw this away? He's like, ah, I
• 3:53
Speaker 1: don't think anyone will like that. Samantha, no one will
• 3:55
Speaker 1: like this. No, Tabitha. Oh, that's right, Tabitha. Tabitha, Bill.
• 4:01
Speaker 1: You see why I made that mistake, though? Yeah, I do, yeah. Mm-hmm. Anyway,
• 4:04
Speaker 1: it's great. What, uh, uh. Did Stephen King like the movie?
• 4:09
Speaker 1: Because he generally does not like the movie. I couldn't
• 4:12
Speaker 1: find anything about that. He said he's excited about this project. Yeah,
• 4:17
Speaker 1: it was Brian De Palma in 76. Sissy Spacek, Piper Laurie. But, yeah. Yeah,
• 4:24
Speaker 1: it'll be interesting to see, coming up in October. Also
• 4:28
Speaker 1: coming out very soon, Ed, get excited. It's Godzilla minus zero,
• 4:33
Speaker 1: and we got our first look at it here. Now,
• 4:36
Speaker 1: this takes place about two years after Godzilla Minus One,
• 4:42
Speaker 1: where Godzilla, we thought, died at the end. Nope, there
• 4:44
Speaker 1: he is. He says, there is no third one coming.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: This is the director. He says, if you're hoping for
• 5:12
Speaker 1: a third Godzilla film, nope, everything ends here, he says.
• 5:16
Speaker 1: So enjoy this. There'll never be another Godzilla movie ever? Well,
• 5:22
Speaker 1: sequel to the first one in this trilogy. There'll be
• 5:25
Speaker 1: other Godzilla movies. He looks great, Ed. Go and watch it.
• 5:33
Speaker 1: November 6th is when it happens. Now, this one is...
• 5:40
Speaker 1: It was shot... It was filmed... It's the first Japanese
• 5:43
Speaker 1: movie filmed for IMAX. So that's kind of interesting as well.
• 5:51
Speaker 1: And then at the end of the trailer, it shows
• 5:53
Speaker 1: Godzilla falling from the sky, which leads me to believe
• 5:56
Speaker 1: that there's another kaiju involved and they're holding it back.
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: But that's... Just a guess. Just a guess. Okay. A
• 6:03
Speaker 1: couple of things to look forward to coming up. Remember
• 6:05
Speaker 1: Get Smart? Yeah, of course. I enjoyed Get Smart. I did, too. Now,
• 6:09
Speaker 1: what if I were to tell you that they want
• 6:11
Speaker 1: to do a TV series? A reboot? A reboot. Well,
• 6:17
Speaker 1: I'm fine with it as long as they have The
• 6:19
Speaker 1: Cone of Silence. Oh, no. It says a screenplay, so
• 6:24
Speaker 1: maybe it's not a TV series. And the guy who
• 6:28
Speaker 1: did Now You See Me, Now You Don't, Seth Graham Smith.
• 6:31
Speaker 1: What's that movie? He's doing it. And how about if
• 6:34
Speaker 1: I told you that John Mulaney will play Maxwell Smart?
• 6:39
Speaker 1: I can see that. How about that? Hmm. So, yeah. Now,
• 6:43
Speaker 1: of course, let's not forget that there was that movie
• 6:46
Speaker 1: in 2008 with Steve Carell. That's right. As Maxwell Smart.
• 6:49
Speaker 1: Anne Hathaway was in there as well. I recall it
• 6:52
Speaker 1: not being very good. But anyway... Let's skip the lanterns story.
• 6:59
Speaker 1: A cone of silence. Because the lantern story is just
• 7:02
Speaker 1: about how it's gaining viewers every time an episode comes on.
• 7:06
Speaker 1: It's a hit. Yeah. We've got Supergirl on HBO Max,
• 7:12
Speaker 1: looks like, tomorrow. No, Saturday. No, tomorrow. Oh, yeah, I
• 7:15
Speaker 1: saw a preview for it when I was watching Conan O'Brien. Yeah,
• 7:21
Speaker 1: HBO Max, September 10th. You can see Supergirl finally. And
• 7:26
Speaker 1: everyone said that Dave Bautista was probably getting a little
• 7:29
Speaker 1: too old, including Dave Bautista. He said this. Probably getting
• 7:32
Speaker 1: a little too old to play these muscle-bound characters. But
• 7:35
Speaker 1: then they offered him the part of Kratos in the
• 7:38
Speaker 1: God of War TV series. It's based on a game,
• 7:41
Speaker 1: a video game. It's on Prime Video. Well, three weeks
• 7:45
Speaker 1: after he accepted the job, he put out this picture
• 7:48
Speaker 1: on Instagram. I think he's just fine. Yeah. You can
• 7:53
Speaker 1: do it, Dave. Man. So he slimmed down. Those are
• 7:57
Speaker 1: all his real tattoos? Those are his real tattoos and
• 8:01
Speaker 1: his real muscles. So, yeah, he's going to be just fine.
• 8:05
Speaker 1: He's back to his Guardians of the Galaxy strength, I think.
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: There you go.
