• 3:52
Speaker 3: I went to bed last night. There were two things
• 3:54
Speaker 3: going on my head. One that fucking pitch. The second
• 3:57
Speaker 3: thing that was going through my head is I can't
• 3:59
Speaker 3: believe I get to sit at this at this studio
• 4:01
Speaker 3: with you two fine gentlemen and talk a little bit

Speaker 5: This is Josh America. This is the American dream.
• 4:10
Speaker 3: This is the American dream. And how lucky three quats

• 4:19
Speaker 2: Only in Nashville. T shirt Baby T shirt put it
• 4:22
  Speaker 2: on there.
• 4:22
Speaker 1: How are you feeling about the reaction of the collaboration
• 4:24
Speaker 1: of busting with the boys in Josh Pat's college football?
• 4:27
  Speaker 2: Unbelievable?
• 4:28
Speaker 5: So we did it the other day, I go to
• 4:29
Speaker 5: the gym, show gets uploaded. Next day, I'm at the gym,
• 4:32
Speaker 5: been there two hours, it's been up two hours, and
• 4:36
Speaker 5: we're getting left and right comments. Love it. Man, Hey,
• 4:39
Speaker 5: hey like this. Hey hey. A couple of guys said
• 4:41
Speaker 5: they hadn't even subscribed to the channel yet and they
• 4:44
Speaker 5: have subscribed because of that, and then probably several more
• 4:46
Speaker 5: on the other side. So the neighborhood's talking.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: The neighborhood is talking. I've been diving into some Josh
• 4:52
Speaker 1: Pat Laura a little bit. Do we have to we
• 4:53
Speaker 1: have to put a disclaimer out there that you got
• 4:55
Speaker 1: paid for the show?
• 4:57
Speaker 5: You do you do if I got paid for the
• 4:58
Speaker 5: show that was the other day?
• 5:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, I like, I'll go in and somebody like jab
• 5:06
Speaker 1: him on something about getting paid for a show. I
• 5:08
Speaker 1: don't know what the inside, I don't know what the
• 5:10
Speaker 1: context or anything is, but I feel like it's like
• 5:12
Speaker 1: an audience where they, you know, they battle back and forth.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: There's some trolling going on, there's some fun being had.
• 5:17
Speaker 5: It's normally. It's normally people who have been in your
• 5:19
Speaker 5: DMS asking you to be on their show, and you
• 5:21
Speaker 5: like haven't gotten back to them, right because you're busy.
• 5:25
Speaker 5: And then the week later you do some random appearance
• 5:27
Speaker 5: and they accused you of being paid for it, which
• 5:29
Speaker 5: I wasn't. They weren't even talking about disappearance. And then
• 5:32
Speaker 5: everyone jumps down their throat and then they want to
• 5:33
Speaker 5: apologize to you in the DMS, but they're really not sorry.
• 5:35
Speaker 2: They're just sorry they got called out.
• 5:37
Speaker 1: Yeah, oh that's the dude you ratioed into oblivion. Then
• 5:41
Speaker 1: I think he deleted the tweet.
• 5:42
Speaker 2: His fault, man, he deleted it too late.
• 5:44
  Speaker 5: He waited.
• 5:48
Speaker 3: If you think you're getting ratio bad and someone's going
• 5:50
  Speaker 3: to screenshot that.
• 5:50
Speaker 5: Thing, screenshat man, They got screenshot anything.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: This is the first this is your first time on
• 5:57
Speaker 1: camera since the first pitch. Anything that you want to.
• 6:01
Speaker 2: Talk about, because it's went.
• 6:02
Speaker 1: It's went from a lot of levels, Like right when
• 6:03
Speaker 1: you threw it, I kind of look on my face.
• 6:06
Speaker 1: You're walking to me, You're like catchable, catchable. Then it's
• 6:08
Speaker 1: like you know, reality starts to set in.
• 6:11
Speaker 2: That's a good place to start out.
• 6:12
Speaker 3: When I throw the ball, it's like a son looking
• 6:15
Speaker 3: at his father being like, please tell me that was
• 6:17
Speaker 3: good enough for you. And so I'm trying to give
• 6:20
Speaker 3: you the answer that I want by saying catchable, catchable.
• 6:23
Speaker 3: You come up, your face says it all. It's like, yes,
• 6:25
Speaker 3: it was catchable. Was it the result? We want to know?
• 6:28
Speaker 3: And Josh and I were talking about this before. It's like,
• 6:31
Speaker 3: if that happens in Saint Louis a couple months ago,
• 6:34
Speaker 3: this this whole redemption pitch story thing never happens. It's like, yeah,
• 6:38
Speaker 3: it's a little high onward and up where we keep
• 6:40
Speaker 3: moving forward because the pitch happens at Cardinal Stadium. Then
• 6:44
Speaker 3: we take a few months, we get one percent better.
• 6:46
Speaker 3: Every single day. We're going I'm pulling you to the
• 6:49
Speaker 3: side every single day being like, hey, we gotta get
• 6:50
Speaker 3: a couple throws in.
• 6:51
  Speaker 2: Hate's talking. We've thrown.
• 6:53
Speaker 3: Everybody who walks in this building has throwing a baseball
• 6:55
Speaker 3: with me. And then I go and take a flight
• 6:57
Speaker 3: to Kansas City to throw that. I'm we checked a box.
• 7:00
Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, like is checking
• 7:02
  Speaker 3: a box.
• 7:03
Speaker 2: What busted? What the boys all about?
• 7:04
Speaker 3: No, it's about truly meeting the standard, and we did
• 7:07
Speaker 3: not meet the standard. So I need to reevaluate my
• 7:11
Speaker 3: level of athleticism. I need to reevaluate the choices that
• 7:15
Speaker 3: I've made in my life. I need to understand that.
• 7:17
Speaker 3: Right now, it's football season, so I have to take
• 7:19
Speaker 3: my own selfish wants and needs and put them to
• 7:21
Speaker 3: the side because we got a big slate of college
• 7:23
Speaker 3: football and NFL football coming up for the next six months.
• 7:26
Speaker 3: But eventually we've got to go back again. Eventually, I've
• 7:29
  Speaker 3: got to.
• 7:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, it was a family affair. Like you said,
• 7:32
Speaker 1: everybody in the show. Everybody in the shop has played
• 7:34
Speaker 1: You've played didn't you play catch with Yeah?
• 7:36
  Speaker 2: Did?
• 7:36
Speaker 1: Absolutely everybody's played catch with them. When you go out there,
• 7:39
Speaker 1: it's like, I think of it as you've trained all
• 7:43
Speaker 1: off season and you go or you went through all
• 7:45
Speaker 1: these wrestling tournaments and you're you're sitting there, you're grinding
• 7:48
Speaker 1: and out with your old man.
• 7:49
  Speaker 2: It's a family affair.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: You got the coaching staff, you got your teammates, and
• 7:52
Speaker 1: you go out there thinking it's not just podium. We're
• 7:56
Speaker 1: trying to get the gold medal and you come out
• 7:58
Speaker 1: of that tournament with a ribbon?
• 8:00
Speaker 2: Can I tell you this and the kids? I did?
• 8:02
Speaker 2: I do you know how much work did we put
• 8:05
Speaker 2: in here first the year? Yeah? Like, did we waste
• 8:08
Speaker 2: our time flying out here?
• 8:10
Speaker 5: I don't think so. If you learned a lesson, you
• 8:11
Speaker 5: didn't waste your time. But I got to tell you
• 8:13
Speaker 5: so I was as you guys were there. I was
• 8:15
Speaker 5: live on the air last night. We were up at
• 8:16
Speaker 5: Penn State last night. I didn't have a laptop on
• 8:20
Speaker 5: set because I needed information. I had a laptop on
• 8:23
Speaker 5: set because I was refreshing it waiting for updates. And
• 8:25
Speaker 5: the video dropped during the show and I looked at
• 8:29
Speaker 5: it and there's a moment in the live show where
• 8:31
  Speaker 5: I just do a deep sigh and there's a moment
• 8:34
Speaker 5: of pause, and the production crew they were kind of
• 8:37
Speaker 5: like on their phones and they look up because they're silence,
• 8:39
Speaker 5: and I just kind of, you know, I do the
• 8:40
Speaker 5: hand motion. It's okay.
• 8:41
Speaker 2: You guys wouldn't understand.
• 8:43
Speaker 5: It's okay. I told this dude to pop three night weil.
• 8:45
  Speaker 5: He didn't.
• 8:45
Speaker 3: He went and just said the night quill. And I
• 8:49
Speaker 3: think that was mentioned too in the hallway. Maybe I
• 8:51
Speaker 3: should have actually been the night quoll, but I thought
• 8:53
Speaker 3: you were trying to get me.
• 8:54
Speaker 5: No, I was trying to save you.
• 8:55
Speaker 2: It sounds like it. It sounds like it.
• 8:57
Speaker 3: And listen, there was a moment of a week and
• 9:00
Speaker 3: a half ago Jeremy clumpsits thing. He's like, you just
• 9:02
Speaker 3: seem too mechanical, like You're like, it looks like you're
• 9:04
Speaker 3: like trying big hard. And then so I just started
• 9:07
Speaker 3: ripping it because you work on the little processes, and
• 9:09
Speaker 3: then at the end of the day, like like the forty,
• 9:10
Speaker 3: you gotta just you just got to run. So I'm
• 9:13
Speaker 3: just throwing and it's starting to go. Now we get
• 9:16
Speaker 3: to the game. We're starting to throw a little bit,
• 9:18
Speaker 3: a couple of good ones, a good slew of like
• 9:20
  Speaker 3: could be better.
• 9:21
Speaker 2: And then we finished strong one.
• 9:22
Speaker 1: I had to stand up in my hey lock in
• 9:24
Speaker 1: yeah yeah, and I go, we go.
• 9:27
Speaker 3: We do the tour. They're giving me the tour. It's
• 9:29
Speaker 3: a wealth of information. The guy that's taking on this
• 9:31
Speaker 3: Kansas City Royals tour. It's awesome, what a what a
• 9:33
Speaker 3: great franchise, all the things. However, I'm not thinking about that.
• 9:36
Speaker 3: I'm thinking about I need to grip it and rip it.
• 9:38
Speaker 3: We get to this FanDuel TV thing. There's a gentleman
• 9:40
Speaker 3: there at three hundred and fifty four saves. He said,
• 9:42
Speaker 3: I like to give you a little bit of, you know,
• 9:44
Speaker 3: a critique or something. When I see your throw. You're
• 9:46
Speaker 3: out here. You have to be essentially one hundred percent
• 9:49
Speaker 3: perfect to put the ball where you want it. When
• 9:50
Speaker 3: your arm's that high, you got to come over the top.
• 9:53
Speaker 3: And instead of just gripping and ripping, I'm in my
• 9:57
Speaker 3: head thinking about coming over the top and my release
• 9:59
Speaker 3: point was a little hot. You can't have it by
• 10:00
Speaker 3: you feel in slow motion that time, Saint Louis. That
• 10:04
Speaker 3: was a whirlwind. That was I can't believe that happened.
• 10:07
Speaker 3: Oh my god. This was like a frame by frame
• 10:09
Speaker 3: if you slow down a video. Like the whole time,
• 10:12
Speaker 3: I'm thinking what are we doing here? Like you're thinking
• 10:15
Speaker 3: about what this guy's telling.
• 10:16
Speaker 2: You, not just doing what you're supposed to be doing.
• 10:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, speaking of frame by frame, let's go frame by
• 10:20
Speaker 1: frame in each of these conferences this college football season.
• 10:23
Speaker 2: What do you want to start to?

• 11:33
Speaker 2: I'm down, SEC, turn me up.
• 11:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, Josh Fate, listen, you're the uh you're
• 11:39
Speaker 1: you're you're the college football expert. To me, there's three
• 11:43
Speaker 1: teams that I juggle in my head between Texas, Georgia
• 11:47
Speaker 1: and Alabama. I would love to hear your breakdown. I
• 11:50
Speaker 1: got a couple thoughts of my own, but I would
• 11:52
Speaker 1: love to lean on the college expert in how you've
• 11:55
Speaker 1: broken down the se SEC throughout your offseason?
• 11:58
Speaker 5: Right? Can I ask you this? So you said Texas
• 12:00
Speaker 5: or Obama or your three juggles.
• 12:02
Speaker 2: Yes, there's a fourth in there too.
• 12:04
  Speaker 1: I don't is it lsu I For whatever reason? I
• 12:07
Speaker 1: just I think they can be really good. But something
• 12:12
Speaker 1: just something about the staff, something about coach Kelly that
• 12:15
Speaker 1: I just is he a national championship? Is he an
• 12:19
Speaker 1: SEC champion in that conference? I mean, when you got
• 12:21
  Speaker 1: Kirby Smart debor.
• 12:24
  Speaker 2: Sark?
• 12:25
Speaker 5: Like, hold on, if I were a detractor. Okay, so
• 12:30
  Speaker 5: you're you're you're not knocking Brian Kelly, but you're putting
• 12:32
Speaker 5: a question mark on his forehead? Why does Sark get
• 12:35
Speaker 5: a pass? What has he done that Brian Kelly hadn't
• 12:37
  Speaker 5: done it.
• 12:38
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 12:39
Speaker 1: I I so if I can be kind of personalized
• 12:42
Speaker 1: about it, I feel like Sark has a swagger and
• 12:45
Speaker 1: a player coach relationship that you don't necessarily see with
• 12:49
Speaker 1: Brian oi else we haven't necessarily saw with coach. Kelly
• 12:52
Speaker 1: kind of operates the the consensus. You know, he has
• 12:55
Speaker 1: got where he does the accent stuff, and hey, he
• 12:57
Speaker 1: has his own kind of fun, but he operates kind
• 12:59
Speaker 1: of like a CEO, so to speak, where I feel
• 13:02
Speaker 1: like Sark he does have that that player relationship. You
• 13:06
Speaker 1: feel that player all year, and when you talk to
• 13:08
Speaker 1: anybody about Sark and the coaching world and the playworld,
• 13:10
Speaker 1: they talk about how much they love Sark, So.
• 13:13
Speaker 2: You're right, like, what has he done?
• 13:15
Speaker 1: But I just feel like if I was, if I
• 13:17
Speaker 1: was differentiating the two, that's kind of like how I
• 13:20
Speaker 1: would see it with Sark.
• 13:21
Speaker 2: And I feel like.
• 13:22
Speaker 1: Sark has his guy with the ARCHI, even though he's
• 13:24
Speaker 1: not proven yet. I feel like they are operating with the.
• 13:27
Speaker 3: That's what scaries one of the most about Texas is
• 13:28
Speaker 3: all this talk and potential about arch Manning. It's kind
• 13:32
  Speaker 3: of terrifying because he's been a five he's been a
• 13:34
  Speaker 3: five star.
• 13:34
Speaker 2: I think he was the greatest things in slight spread.
• 13:36
Speaker 3: He's got the pedigree, the bloodlines, everything, and now it's like,
• 13:39
Speaker 3: now we actually get to see.
• 13:40
Speaker 2: Now that's where I pull myself.
• 13:41
Speaker 3: Back a little bit on Texas and the thing just
• 13:43
Speaker 3: to double down on LSU and the difference between Sark
• 13:46
Speaker 3: and Kelly is when you look at Sark and you
• 13:49
Speaker 3: see the Texas logo, something about that gels that's a
• 13:52
Speaker 3: peanut butter and jelly feeling where you're like, I can
• 13:54
Speaker 3: understand why that personality of that head coach is with
• 13:57
Speaker 3: that brand and that logo. Brian Kelly, who's still a
• 14:00
Speaker 3: great college football coach, who's at Notre Dame forever, he
• 14:03
Speaker 3: doesn't have this like coach O did with LSU. LSU
• 14:07
Speaker 3: feels to me like from a culture standpoint, you need
• 14:10
Speaker 3: a very unique personality to uphold the brand of the
• 14:14
Speaker 3: LSU Tigers, and Brian Kelly just feels like he's a
• 14:17
Speaker 3: great he's a great college football coach, but does he
• 14:19
Speaker 3: fit the mold of the Cajun baton rouge fried lifestyle
• 14:25
  Speaker 3: of the.
• 14:25
Speaker 2: Whole state of Louisiana.
• 14:27
Speaker 3: Yeah, who every single, Saturday wakes up and they're saying
• 14:30
Speaker 3: go Tigers. They're spelling it a goofy way. They're tailgating
• 14:33
Speaker 3: from Wednesday all the way until Saturday, and they have
• 14:37
Speaker 3: that insane electricity atmosphere. It's like, does Brian Kelly feel
• 14:41
Speaker 3: the same way that LSU feels to the public.
• 14:43
  Speaker 2: I don't think.
• 14:44
Speaker 3: I think there's like a little bit of a disconnect there, Sarka.
• 14:46
Speaker 3: I don't feel that disconnect between Texas, Austin, Texas and
• 14:50
  Speaker 3: sarkid you.
• 14:51
Speaker 5: First off, you said the exact right thing. So if
• 14:53
Speaker 5: I were to take your side on it, that's exactly
• 14:55
Speaker 5: my answer to my own question. That's the edge that
• 14:57
Speaker 5: sark has over Brian Kelly. You're a discre culture. You're
• 15:01
Speaker 5: describing fit like why a guy would work one place
• 15:04
Speaker 5: and wouldn't work another. That is not nearly as talked
• 15:08
Speaker 5: about in the NFL, cause NFL franchises or NFL franchises.
• 15:12
Speaker 5: There's a difference in Buffalo and the Texans, but it's
• 15:14
Speaker 5: not nearly the difference in Michigan State and LSU, for example,
• 15:17
Speaker 5: in college football. I mentioned those two because Saban was
• 15:20
Speaker 5: at Michigan State at one point and he goes to LSU.
• 15:22
Speaker 5: He's never lived in the South in his life. He's
• 15:24
Speaker 5: never coached in the South in his life. However, unlike Bka,
• 15:27
Speaker 5: when he took the LSU job, Sabin looked and said,
• 15:30
Speaker 5: everything about Louisiana, I want to like put my throat,
• 15:33
Speaker 5: I put my hands around the throat of that. I
• 15:35
Speaker 5: want that infused. And Brian Kelly, I think, kind of said,
• 15:38
Speaker 5: now we're gonna do it with Brian Kelly. Way Louisiana.
• 15:41
Speaker 5: This Louisiana that doesn't matter so much. They're kind of
• 15:43
Speaker 5: paying the cost for that right now, and they're trying
• 15:45
Speaker 5: to get back to that way. But I think that
• 15:48
Speaker 5: what you said right I would therefore put Texas in
• 15:51
Speaker 5: that lead pack. I would put Georgia in that lead pack.
• 15:53
Speaker 5: I'd put Alabama in that lead pack. I went with
• 15:56
Speaker 5: Bama to win this conference in a kind of nod
• 16:00
Speaker 5: to the OC higher they made in Ryan Grubb, who
• 16:03
Speaker 5: they had for like five minutes last year before he
• 16:05
Speaker 5: went to Seattle. They would have had him on the
• 16:07
Speaker 5: staff last year he comes back. I think what I
• 16:10
Speaker 5: trust with them is at quarterback, ty Simpson will not
• 16:14
Speaker 5: give them the highest highs that Melroe gave them, but
• 16:16
Speaker 5: he definitely will keep them from the lowest lows that
• 16:19
Speaker 5: Melroe gave them. That entire offense last year was so
• 16:21
Speaker 5: schizophrenic there was no identity, so you had no clue
• 16:23
Speaker 5: what you were getting week to week. So if you're
• 16:24
Speaker 5: in oc how in the world do you gain plan
• 16:27
Speaker 5: Because you could go beat LSU by thirty like they did,
• 16:30
Speaker 5: and then go get beat by Oklahoma by three touchdowns
• 16:33
Speaker 5: like they did. There's no consistency in performance. They got
• 16:36
Speaker 5: the players, They got one of the best wide receiver
• 16:38
Speaker 5: rooms in the conference easily, I think the best and
• 16:40
Speaker 5: deepest dB room in the conference. Line of scrimmage talent
• 16:43
Speaker 5: is good. It's Alabama just like Georgia. They should get
• 16:46
Speaker 5: back to running the ball this year. But if it
• 16:48
Speaker 5: comes down to a tiebreaker in my head right now,
• 16:50
Speaker 5: between Kaylin de Boor and these other dudes, he's six
• 16:53
Speaker 5: and zero against Sark and Kirby and Dan Lanning, which
• 16:57
Speaker 5: we all agree with three of the best in the
• 16:58
Speaker 5: country right now, war in his time at Washington goes
• 17:02
Speaker 5: six and zero against them. It's just himself with better
• 17:05
Speaker 5: talent now, So I think year two there would be
• 17:08
Speaker 5: a lot of concerns that are eased a little bit
• 17:10
Speaker 5: for folks who think Alabama's just about to fade into
• 17:12
Speaker 5: the abyss simply called Nick Saban's not there.
• 17:15
Speaker 2: I think that's what people, a lot of people that
• 17:16
  Speaker 2: aren't Alabama.
• 17:17
Speaker 5: Fans kind of want the rest of the country.
• 17:18
Speaker 3: The rest of the country wants because Alabama has ran
• 17:20
Speaker 3: college football for so long. And I think, as an
• 17:22
Speaker 3: outsider looking in, my feeling is what does that pressure
• 17:25
Speaker 3: look like to Debor When everyone's like now whispering about
• 17:28
Speaker 3: if eight and four happens, how could it im four
• 17:30
Speaker 3: possibly happen at Alabama? How do you lose to a
• 17:32
Speaker 3: Michigan team in their ballgame where they can't even throw
• 17:36
  Speaker 3: the ball?
• 17:37
  Speaker 2: Like, where is.
• 17:38
Speaker 3: The disconnect between Nick Saban and to Bor because they're
• 17:41
Speaker 3: completely different coaches. When we were there for the spring practices,
• 17:44
  Speaker 3: they're talking about how there's music playing. Now they're a
• 17:46
Speaker 3: little looser and the meeting rooms are having more fun.
• 17:49
Speaker 3: When Nick Saban will run extremely type ship and I
• 17:51
Speaker 3: think we're so used to just feeling and seeing like
• 17:54
Speaker 3: one culture in one place for so long that's hard
• 17:57
Speaker 3: to imagine it any other way. So that's where when
• 18:00
Speaker 3: I'm looking at it in my dumb brain.
• 18:02
Speaker 2: I'm like, do I go into Alabama? Do I buy
• 18:04
  Speaker 2: an Alabama?
• 18:05
Speaker 3: Or do I kind of ease back a little bit
• 18:06
Speaker 3: because I'm not sure from a cultural standpoint, which you know,
• 18:09
Speaker 3: when I look at the sheet, I go a lot
• 18:11
Speaker 3: by the culture and like what do they do? You
• 18:14
Speaker 3: can take different pieces and put them in, but the
• 18:15
Speaker 3: culture are still the same. I don't know what Alabama's
• 18:17
Speaker 3: culture is, and that's why I get a little weary
• 18:19
  Speaker 3: about them.
• 18:20
Speaker 5: But I'm going to tell you what makes me nervous,
• 18:21
Speaker 5: because you were just talking about Texas. What makes me
• 18:24
Speaker 5: nervous is I was out in Austin this spring, Like
• 18:27
Speaker 5: they've lost players, they got a new quarterback, at least
• 18:29
Speaker 5: a new starter at quarterback in art so like there's
• 18:31
Speaker 5: a lot of the questions you would ask about him,
• 18:33
Speaker 5: But Sark said, we've been building towards this year, right, Like,
• 18:38
Speaker 5: this is the year we've been building towards. All of
• 18:40
Speaker 5: these are my guys. The entire building is full of
• 18:43
Speaker 5: my guys. So even though we may be replacing starters,
• 18:47
Speaker 5: the guys we're replacing them with. Those are the ones
• 18:49
Speaker 5: we're banking on. Those are the ones we trust, Those
• 18:51
Speaker 5: are the ones we have recruited and evaluated and developed.
• 18:55
Speaker 5: And he said that without blinking, and I just that
• 18:59
Speaker 5: burns in your mind because then you go and you
• 19:00
Speaker 5: do something like picking against Texas, and it's like, you know,
• 19:04
Speaker 5: fractions of inches here and there. And I just don't
• 19:06
Speaker 5: want to find myself feeling stupid in December, because he
• 19:09
Speaker 5: gave me the answers to the quiz in spring and
• 19:11
Speaker 5: I just forgot about him.
• 19:13
Speaker 1: I think it is like fractions and inches with those
• 19:15
Speaker 1: three teams, Texas, George and Alabama. If you give a
• 19:18
Speaker 1: nod to Georgia, it'd probably be the coaching staff. You
• 19:20
Speaker 1: give the nod to Alabama, They're probably the deepest. You
• 19:23
Speaker 1: give the nod to Texas. I like, I think they
• 19:26
Speaker 1: are equipped just like those other two teams. But I
• 19:28
Speaker 1: think their schedule is the most favorable out of those three.
• 19:31
Speaker 1: They have the easiest schedule out of those three. Bama
• 19:32
Speaker 1: and Georgia both have tough schedules. And I know it's
• 19:36
Speaker 1: like Archie isn't proven yet, and I don't know how
• 19:41
Speaker 1: else to explain the belief in Archie Manning because we've had,
• 19:44
Speaker 1: you know, fortunate enough, we got to have Peyton sit
• 19:46
Speaker 1: on the show and talk about the how they kind
• 19:48
Speaker 1: of handle everything with ar Choice almost how level headed
• 19:51
Speaker 1: he is, and the belief is just more so I
• 19:54
Speaker 1: guess latching on it. It's like you know when Apple
• 19:56
Speaker 1: just makes a product and you don't know, you might
• 19:59
Speaker 1: not even know what the product is trust, but you
• 20:00
Speaker 1: know it's going to be a banger. It's like the
• 20:02
Speaker 1: Manings historic, like all of them, they've all been good.
• 20:06
Speaker 1: And with Archie, the hype there, the way Sark talks
• 20:08
Speaker 1: about him, him being at Texas, all of these things
• 20:11
  Speaker 1: about him, it's just it's just a feeling of I
• 20:14
  Speaker 1: just believe it's gonna happen, and I that's why I'm
• 20:16
Speaker 1: going to go to Texas because again, I think they
• 20:18
Speaker 1: have the most favorable schedule, granted everybody stays healthy. And
• 20:22
Speaker 1: if Archie Manning is who everybody's talking about him being
• 20:25
Speaker 1: being a Heisman contenter, he's the Heisman front runner right now,
• 20:28
Speaker 1: but being a Heisman contender, and if that offense is
• 20:30
Speaker 1: operating in sark system, I like them to win the SEC.
• 20:35
Speaker 2: I think I think all of us.
• 20:36
Speaker 3: I didn't take this team, but I think LSU is
• 20:38
Speaker 3: a team that we're kind of all sleeping on a
• 20:40
  Speaker 3: little bit.
• 20:40
Speaker 2: They got one against Clemson. Clemson.
• 20:42
Speaker 3: I think JP drop this little NuGet to me yesterday.
• 20:44
Speaker 3: Clemson hasn't won a home opener versus the big teams.
• 20:46
Speaker 3: It's like twenty nineteen. It's a good opportunity.
• 20:49
Speaker 1: Was that has won.
• 20:54
Speaker 3: Okay, So that is the opposite of the opinion I
• 20:57
Speaker 3: was going to have because I think two years ago
• 21:02
Speaker 3: LSU's defense was abysmal. Last year they got better. I
• 21:04
Speaker 3: think they take another step this year. They have the
• 21:06
Speaker 3: most quarterback ready for the NFL and Garrett Nussmeyer. It's like,
• 21:11
Speaker 3: can they take those step? If not, we might be
• 21:13
Speaker 3: looking at a situation where you're halfway through the season
• 21:15
Speaker 3: you're like, is Brian Kelly really your guy? Those whispers
• 21:17
Speaker 3: started happening last year. My pick, and it's a cultural pick.
• 21:21
  Speaker 2: It's Georgia.
• 21:22
Speaker 3: Before the show, we started talking about the wide receiver
• 21:24
Speaker 3: room being the alpha in Georgia, which has never even
• 21:27
Speaker 3: heard of the young guy. Like you have a guy
• 21:28
Speaker 3: like Gunner Stockton who is waited, sitted back and kind
• 21:33
Speaker 3: of just waited his turn. But I think you see
• 21:35
Speaker 3: a guy like Carson Beck who kind of fits the
• 21:37
Speaker 3: mold to Miami a little bit more a little more flashy.
• 21:39
Speaker 3: Any guy who's gonna leave a program, a big program
• 21:42
Speaker 3: like Georgia because of his girlfriend can't buy stalking that.
• 21:44
Speaker 3: I don't want to be around that. Gunnar Stockton's the
• 21:46
Speaker 3: guy that's going to be able to get it.
• 21:47
Speaker 1: They and when he'd go in the game last year,
• 21:49
Speaker 1: whenever a Carson would get injured or someone so, I
• 21:51
Speaker 1: feel like the team would like rally like, yeah, they would.
• 21:54
Speaker 2: Be juiced for behause.
• 21:55
Speaker 3: I think there was some talk of like kind of
• 21:56
Speaker 3: way Quinn Ewers and arch Manning in a much lower sense.
• 22:00
Speaker 3: Anytime Quinn Eures didn't do something great, everyone's like, well,
• 22:03
Speaker 3: where's arts we should put archin. I feel like it
• 22:05
Speaker 3: was a similar feel. Yeah, Carson Beck and Gunnar Stockton.
• 22:08
Speaker 5: Remember this, they played Texas in the SEC championship game.
• 22:12
Speaker 5: Beck gets hurt. Georgia is trailing when Bet gets hurt,
• 22:17
Speaker 5: so Gunner Stockton comes in and with him at the helm,
• 22:20
Speaker 5: they come from behind to beat Texas for a conference title.
• 22:24
Speaker 5: It's not like they had a three touchdown lead and
• 22:25
Speaker 5: they held on. That's the same thing with the Boat
• 22:28
Speaker 5: Pribulla kid, who's the quarterback at Missouri this year. Penn
• 22:31
Speaker 5: State was on the ropes on the road against Wisconsin.
• 22:34
Speaker 5: Aller goes down, they have to come from behind with
• 22:36
Speaker 5: their backup and win. So like whether it's Stockton, whether
• 22:39
Speaker 5: it's Pabula, these guys aren't totally unproven commodities. They haven't
• 22:43
Speaker 5: had the QB one tag for a whole year. But like,
• 22:46
Speaker 5: you're right, And also he's a homegrown kid, he's from Georgia.
• 22:50
Speaker 5: Locker room loves him, so they'll go to war for him.
• 22:52
Speaker 5: They'll like facing the fan for him, over the cliff
• 22:54
Speaker 5: for him. However, it all comes down to their ow line.
• 22:57
Speaker 5: For me, like to circle back and I'm gonna give
• 22:59
Speaker 5: you the state age back. But if you tell me
• 23:01
Speaker 5: they've got a Georgia offensive line, I have no problem
• 23:05
  Speaker 5: trusting that kid.
• 23:06
Speaker 3: Yeah, I see. I have lean so much more on
• 23:08
Speaker 3: the on the wide receivers in the ability. Like Mike
• 23:10
Speaker 3: Bobo the OC, he is a guy that he's got
• 23:12
Speaker 3: a little bit of criticism for it, but playing more
• 23:14
Speaker 3: loudly than he is vertically. So if you run into
• 23:16
Speaker 3: that Georgia offensive line in the locker room, huge day.
• 23:22
Speaker 3: This thing was throwing up up there. But Mike Bobo
• 23:27
Speaker 3: as the OC he has gotten the criticism you got
• 23:29
Speaker 3: if you're if you're a Georgia Bulldogs fantas. He attacks
• 23:31
Speaker 3: too much east and west, not so much north and south.
• 23:34
Speaker 3: So as much as you hate the screens and the
• 23:36
Speaker 3: bubbles and all those different things, they get a lot
• 23:39
Speaker 3: of haye because they have aliens in the wide receiver position.
• 23:42
Speaker 3: So I don't necessarily worry too much about Georgia when
• 23:45
Speaker 3: it comes to their offensive line. They're gonna have their
• 23:47
Speaker 3: five star guys. They're all gonna come from, like you know,
• 23:49
Speaker 3: down South or corn fed boys, They're gonna get after it.
• 23:52
Speaker 3: But if they have you know, Zachariah Branch and Noah Thomas,
• 23:57
Speaker 3: So Zachari came from USC and no A Thomas came
• 23:59
Speaker 3: from those guys step up and they gel. It's not
• 24:02
Speaker 3: about Georgia playing great in September other than other than Tennessee.
• 24:05
Speaker 3: It's about them playing great in November and December and
• 24:08
Speaker 3: getting traction similar the way Ohio State did at the
• 24:10
Speaker 3: end of the year last year.
• 24:11
Speaker 5: That wide receiver room. Just those names you're mentioning, they
• 24:14
Speaker 5: may just be names to people watching Georgia fans know them,
• 24:17
Speaker 5: but they may just be names to people so you
• 24:18
Speaker 5: think wide receiver, there's just like this six to one
• 24:21
Speaker 5: and eighty pound kid.
• 24:22
  Speaker 2: In your head.
• 24:23
Speaker 5: They've got that, but they've got some six four to twenty
• 24:26
Speaker 5: in that room. Like they've got a variety of personnel
• 24:29
Speaker 5: in the wide receiver room. And you were just saying
• 24:32
Speaker 5: what we were talking about earlier. I don't want it
• 24:34
Speaker 5: to just kind of get glossed over that you said
• 24:36
Speaker 5: the wide receiver room could be the alpha room at Georgia.
• 24:39
Speaker 5: At Georgia, think about how crazy that statement is. With
• 24:43
Speaker 5: the running back rooms you've seen come through their defensive
• 24:45
Speaker 5: linebacker every year. You wouldn't go like six or seven
• 24:48
Speaker 5: rooms deep before you ever mentioned receiver. And yet they
• 24:51
Speaker 5: were so focused because they led the league in drops
• 24:54
Speaker 5: by a mile last year. Position led them down horribly.
• 24:57
Speaker 5: So I think Carson Beck has a decent chance to
• 24:59
Speaker 5: surprise people Miami this year if guys just catch.
• 25:01
Speaker 2: The ball for him and if he's healthy.
• 25:03
Speaker 5: Yeah, that's like like this side note, But if Georgia
• 25:06
Speaker 5: they've got wide receivers that play.
• 25:08
Speaker 2: Like that, you haven't seen that with them. We haven't
• 25:11
Speaker 2: seen it, so we don't even know how the team profiles.
• 25:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, and then also Kirby Smart like you talk about
• 25:16
Speaker 3: we bring up Nick Saban all the time. He was
• 25:18
Speaker 3: essentially Lord Voldemort of college football for the longest time.
• 25:21
Speaker 3: How you killed Baltimore, you got to kill all his
• 25:22
Speaker 3: horse cruxes. That horror crux is Kirby Smart Like he
• 25:26
Speaker 3: is just a living, breathing version of Nick Saban, possibly
• 25:29
Speaker 3: the best head coach all of college football right now.
• 25:31
Speaker 3: So it's like, how do you bet against a guy
• 25:33
Speaker 3: like that who's proven it time and time again.
• 25:36
Speaker 5: I'mlet me tell you the one thing that I have
• 25:37
Speaker 5: in my mind, so Georgia would have been my pick.
• 25:39
Speaker 5: This is the one thing that talked me off of them.
• 25:41
Speaker 5: Barely their start, and they got a lot of first
• 25:44
Speaker 5: or second year guys in they're too deep, more so
• 25:46
Speaker 5: than Kirby's had to deal with, which you know, you
• 25:48
  Speaker 5: don't feel bad for him. It's just something I don't
• 25:51
Speaker 5: think they simplify how complex that defense is, just because
• 25:54
Speaker 5: they got younger guys, all right, So it.
• 25:56
Speaker 2: Doesn't happen until it gets the middle of the year
• 25:58
Speaker 2: and becomes a problem.
• 25:59
Speaker 5: I think what happens in the middle of the year
• 26:01
Speaker 5: is they get Texas and Ole Miss and Alabama. Rollery Athens. Okay,
• 26:04
Speaker 5: so home fields definitely on their side. That block g's
• 26:07
Speaker 5: on their side the way I see those games going,
• 26:09
Speaker 5: if you had to, like you know, give one percent
• 26:12
Speaker 5: edge either way, if you're trying to pick the conferences,
• 26:15
Speaker 5: George is not gonna be a bad team. There's no
• 26:17
Speaker 5: world where that happens. There is a world where they're
• 26:19
Speaker 5: a really high level team, but you've got like one
• 26:22
Speaker 5: or two busts per game or you can't quite get
• 26:24
Speaker 5: home and you know, against against Kentucky that may not matter.
• 26:29
Speaker 5: But against Steve Sarkisian's team and Kaitlin de Bori's team
• 26:33
Speaker 5: and Lane Kiffin's team, you got some of the best
• 26:34
Speaker 5: play callers in the world there, and Ryan Grubb calling
• 26:37
Speaker 5: plays for Alabama. Like, against those guys, the difference in
• 26:40
  Speaker 5: that game is.
• 26:41
Speaker 2: One or two blown assignments.
• 26:43
Speaker 5: Those are the best in the world at exploiting young
• 26:45
Speaker 5: guys that you're having to start on defense. So if
• 26:47
Speaker 5: the league swings either way, That's what talked to me
• 26:50
Speaker 5: off Georgia. But I'm just standing over here. I'm not
• 26:52
Speaker 5: out of the room. I'm just over here saying, yeah, they.
• 26:55
Speaker 2: Could still do it.
• 26:56
Speaker 3: They could still do absolutely, So where are you going,
• 26:58
Speaker 3: I'm going Georgia. Okay, yeah, yeah, I've talked about Georgia
• 27:01
Speaker 3: for the last ten minutes. I figured that's clear, But
• 27:03
Speaker 3: I'm going to Georgia.
• 27:05
Speaker 2: Tell you went on a rate about LASH. I think
• 27:08
  Speaker 2: in Alabama.
• 27:09
Speaker 3: You sit there and you're talking about Texas, Georgia, Alabama,
• 27:11
Speaker 3: It's like those are the three teams. It's like there's three,
• 27:14
Speaker 3: but that fourth one is like three B Like it's
• 27:16
Speaker 3: right there. And I think Brian Kelly could be a
• 27:18
Speaker 3: guy has talked about no matter what, but whether it's
• 27:21
Speaker 3: him losing a job or him playing for national championship,
• 27:24
Speaker 3: like that's Those are the two different lsus we're looking
• 27:26
  Speaker 3: at this year.
• 27:27
Speaker 5: And one thing I was asking you, the one thing
• 27:29
Speaker 5: that I just wanted to have on camera on record
• 27:31
Speaker 5: for when people watch this in December, is there is
• 27:34
Speaker 5: a thought out there. You would see it in the
• 27:36
Speaker 5: fan duel odds if you went and looked it up
• 27:37
Speaker 5: right now, which is just implying what the market thinks
• 27:41
Speaker 5: it is. Alabama, Texas, Georgia LSU like that's a solid
• 27:44
Speaker 5: front betting for and then there's a little bit of
• 27:46
Speaker 5: a drop off, and then there are like five or
• 27:48
Speaker 5: six other teams. You got Florida, you got South Carolina,
• 27:50
Speaker 5: a TENNISSE season there, And I just think that we're
• 27:53
Speaker 5: in a new world where there's a lot of compacted
• 27:56
Speaker 5: nature at the top of the league. And I don't
• 27:58
Speaker 5: think people have recalibrated their minds yet. I still think
• 28:01
Speaker 5: people think in terms of a lead pack, and it
• 28:03
Speaker 5: could just be a lot of ten and two, nine
• 28:05
Speaker 5: to three and we're deciding it.
• 28:06
Speaker 2: Based on tie breakers in December, and you look.
• 28:08
Speaker 3: At all the professionals that talk about college football, I
• 28:11
Speaker 3: feel like every good team is ten and two this year,
• 28:13
Speaker 3: Like we're gonna have like sixteen teams.
• 28:15
Speaker 5: No one's predicting eleven in one for anyone, no aside
• 28:17
Speaker 5: from their own fans, ever, because no one wants to
• 28:20
Speaker 5: be on the hook for that. No one wants to
• 28:21
Speaker 5: be in December saying how could you have ever predicted
• 28:23
Speaker 5: anyone to go eleven wins in this chaos? Yeah, I
• 28:26
Speaker 5: just think you're gonna have some eight and fours that
• 28:28
Speaker 5: were really good. South Carolina just randomly to pick a team.
• 28:31
Speaker 5: South Carolina could have the best offensive end defensive player
• 28:34
Speaker 5: in the league. Sellers on offense, quarterback, and Stewart on defense.
• 28:38
Speaker 5: At edge could be the best players in the league.
• 28:40
Speaker 5: You say that with Ohio State, with Jeremiah Smith and
• 28:43
Speaker 5: Caleb Downs, you could say that. In the SEC about
• 28:46
Speaker 5: South Carolina, we haven't even mentioned them. In the league race,
• 28:49
Speaker 5: we haven't even mentioned them. And I just think that
• 28:51
Speaker 5: if you're looking at this like a ladder match, it
• 28:53
Speaker 5: used to be you had a bunch of teams on
• 28:55
Speaker 5: rung three of the ladder. Well, you can extend fully,
• 28:58
Speaker 5: you can't reach the belt. I think a lot of
• 28:59
Speaker 5: teams are on like the fifth rung where it's still tough,
• 29:02
Speaker 5: but like if they fully extend, they're within reach of
• 29:05
Speaker 5: the belt. There may be a team or two ahead
• 29:06
Speaker 5: of them on the ladder. That's where you just gotta
• 29:08
Speaker 5: take a knee cap out. But I just think the
• 29:10
Speaker 5: leagues a lot more competitive this.
• 29:11
Speaker 2: Year, and I've seen it. We got to get to
• 29:15
Speaker 2: another conference. Before we get we get.
• 29:19
Speaker 1: The show is already running extremely We're already doing what
• 29:21
Speaker 1: we thought we'd do.
• 29:22
Speaker 2: Big twelve, this this is Josh Bate's favorite conference. Yeah,
• 29:28
Speaker 2: a boy, he loves sher Young twelve. I was talking
• 29:34
  Speaker 2: with Josh.
• 29:35
Speaker 1: Before we got on the show, and the Big Twelve
• 29:39
Speaker 1: it like That's where I've spent the most time because
• 29:42
Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out where I'm going to go,
• 29:45
Speaker 1: like I have my pick, And as a matter of fact,
• 29:47
Speaker 1: I'm sitting here talking about I have my pick. I
• 29:49
Speaker 1: forgot what pick I even delivered into the show because
• 29:51
Speaker 1: I've went back and forth on so many different teams.
• 29:53
Speaker 1: Because I was asking Josh, I'm like, what concept is
• 29:57
Speaker 1: going to rise to the top with Kansas State. It's
• 29:59
Speaker 1: like you are not with Can't State with the Big twelve.
• 30:02
Speaker 1: My pick is Kansas State. It's like, I know the
• 30:04
Speaker 1: floor of Kansas State. I'm familiar with climbing, got to
• 30:07
Speaker 1: go out there when he was at North Dakota State,
• 30:09
Speaker 1: and he's a massive culture guy. We know what we're
• 30:12
Speaker 1: gonna get with Kansasate. Can they tap into a new
• 30:14
Speaker 1: ceiling with Avery Johnson taking a step and making a
• 30:17
Speaker 1: league because he had some iffy moments last year. They
• 30:20
Speaker 1: go out in the portal, they round out some guys
• 30:23
Speaker 1: in their wide receiver room, they plug some holes on
• 30:26
Speaker 1: the offensive line. Defensively, they're kind of you know, they
• 30:29
Speaker 1: can be good, but is their culture going to get
• 30:32
Speaker 1: them over the hump this year?
• 30:34
Speaker 2: Is it going to be Texas Tech.
• 30:36
Speaker 1: With McGuire, where they go out and acquire all of
• 30:38
Speaker 1: these guys, build new facilities, have all the theatrics talking
• 30:43
Speaker 1: about I know Josh should get into it with their
• 30:45
Speaker 1: two and three deep what they have on defense. But
• 30:47
Speaker 1: is that acquisition? Is that going to be it? Because
• 30:50
Speaker 1: they're the most talented. Is it gonna be your boy?
• 30:53
Speaker 1: Up in Utah? The Old Dog was a witting Kyle Winningham.
• 30:58
Speaker 5: The motor only big twelve coach that the motorcycle to.
• 31:00
Speaker 1: Work and they grab the the OC quarterback duo. Is
• 31:04
Speaker 1: that philosophy going to win? Baylor Arizona State? Both of
• 31:08
Speaker 1: those teams return a lot of their guys that they
• 31:11
Speaker 1: had last year. So it's I have no clue where
• 31:14
Speaker 1: there's gonna go. I want to say FanDuel has about
• 31:16
Speaker 1: what two or three teams A plus five fifty two
• 31:18
Speaker 1: or three teams A plus six hundred, Like there's like
• 31:20
Speaker 1: six to eight teams that are all right there around
• 31:22
Speaker 1: the same odds, and I have I have no clue.
• 31:24
Speaker 1: I'm going Kansas State because I kind of have a
• 31:28
Speaker 1: soft spot with climbing. I do with Dillingham too, but
• 31:30
Speaker 1: I kind of I've I've always enjoyed watching climb and
• 31:33
Speaker 1: operate from a culture standpoint, and I feel like Avery
• 31:36
Speaker 1: Johnson's really good. I feel like they have the talent,
• 31:38
Speaker 1: they have some big boys up front, they have the
• 31:41
Speaker 1: the trenches kind of built. So I'm gonna lean on
• 31:43
Speaker 1: them and just hope they raise the ceiling this year.
• 31:45
Speaker 1: But I could see, I could see Baylor, I could
• 31:48
Speaker 1: see we can get in Arizona State, and I could say,
• 31:53
Speaker 1: I don't. I'm not in love with Arizona State. Like
• 31:55
Speaker 1: everybody else has talked about. I think Scatabo is gonna
• 31:58
Speaker 1: be a huge loss. And I could also see Texas Tech.
• 32:03
  Speaker 2: So I don't know.
• 32:04
Speaker 3: So you you the defending Big Twelve champs ASU, You
• 32:08
Speaker 3: think the reason why they don't do the same thing
• 32:10
Speaker 3: they did last year is because they lost Scatibo.
• 32:12
Speaker 1: So ASU is a team that returns a lot of
• 32:15
Speaker 1: their production from the year before.
• 32:17
  Speaker 2: And I do I think.
• 32:19
Speaker 1: I think teams have you know, teams have continued to
• 32:21
Speaker 1: get better in the Big Twelve, like we're just mentioned,
• 32:23
Speaker 1: and Baylor's return a lot of guys. Texas Tech went
• 32:25
Speaker 1: out to get a lot of guys. You got the
• 32:27
Speaker 1: culture of the climbing. You know, he's going to be
• 32:28
Speaker 1: a three to four lost team at least. Uh So
• 32:31
Speaker 1: you're gonna have those And that's not even talking about Utah.
• 32:33
Speaker 1: That's not talking about you know. I know you can
• 32:35
Speaker 1: be high on on Kansas Iowa stayed with Campbell like
• 32:38
  Speaker 1: they don't.
• 32:39
Speaker 2: They have a pretty favorable schedule.
• 32:41
Speaker 1: So my thought on Arizona State is I think Scatabo
• 32:44
Speaker 1: is going to be a bigger loss than people think
• 32:47
Speaker 1: about because they were in a lot of fourth quarter
• 32:49
Speaker 1: games last year to where they have scat plays. They
• 32:52
Speaker 1: have playbooks for Scatabo to where you would have to
• 32:54
Speaker 1: lean on Scataboe, Scatabo would have to make a play.
• 32:56
  Speaker 1: I think Sam Levitt is awesome. I just I don't
• 32:58
Speaker 1: see them as like a clear year this is going
• 33:01
Speaker 1: They're gonna be in the front of this Big twelve
• 33:02
Speaker 1: conference because I think everybody else is kind of calling
• 33:05
Speaker 1: up to them, and everybody else will be able to
• 33:06
  Speaker 1: compete with.
• 33:06
Speaker 3: I don't disagree with some of the things you said.
• 33:09
Speaker 3: I think my pick is going to be as U.
• 33:12
Speaker 3: I think Kenny Dillingham Obviously I went to high school
• 33:14
Speaker 3: with Dillingham. I got Charlie Vibes guy. Kenny Dillingham and
• 33:18
Speaker 3: I mean this is a compliment. Reminds me of like
• 33:21
Speaker 3: when you're all sitting with your friends watching football game
• 33:23
Speaker 3: and you got the one guy that's like, hey, he
• 33:24
Speaker 3: should have caught that, he should have done this. If
• 33:27
Speaker 3: you took that guy and made him a head coach,
• 33:28
Speaker 3: that's Kenny Dillingham, but with with more football sat like
• 33:31
Speaker 3: he's in press conference that we suck right now, like
• 33:34
Speaker 3: someone's gonna go three and nine, why don't we go?
• 33:39
Speaker 3: He is a guy that allows his dudes to be
• 33:41
Speaker 3: who they want to be. You got scatter Bow and
• 33:43
Speaker 3: Levitt before the college football playoffs talking all this ship
• 33:46
Speaker 3: in the world. Scatabo is talking about how he's the
• 33:48
Speaker 3: best running back, not Ashton Gent. They're gonna approve a
• 33:51
Speaker 3: whole things in a lot of ways. They should have
• 33:52
Speaker 3: beat Texas. I think the big thing about Kenny Dillingham,
• 33:56
Speaker 3: the big thing that changes ASU's culture, is that Kenny
• 33:58
Speaker 3: Dillingham has publicly said and we all publicly believe he's
• 34:01
Speaker 3: not going to go anywhere. And ASU for the longest time,
• 34:04
Speaker 3: as long as you can remember, since like nineteen seventy
• 34:06
Speaker 3: six when they won a Pac ten championship, every coach
• 34:09
Speaker 3: has gone there has used a stepping zone to get
• 34:12
Speaker 3: somewhere else. Now you have a place Tempi Arizona, fun
• 34:15
Speaker 3: spot to be at. You got this blue Mountain state
• 34:18
Speaker 3: vibe of Asu sam Levitz probably wighing up a little
• 34:21
Speaker 3: bit hungover right now in a nice apartment in old
• 34:23
Speaker 3: town Scott Sale with three blonds around him. He's getting
• 34:25
Speaker 3: three point one million dollars at nil. He can sling
• 34:28
Speaker 3: that thing all over the yard, and then everyone's saying, Statabo, scatabo, scatabo.
• 34:32
Speaker 2: I made a couple of calls.
• 34:34
Speaker 3: I looked around. I called some coaches. This guy named
• 34:36
Speaker 3: Kyson Brown, they call him sip guy. Averages four point
• 34:39
Speaker 3: three yards per carry. He's a fast guy. We're talking
• 34:42
Speaker 3: about a ten to six type of dude. In the
• 34:44
Speaker 3: hundred when he was in high school. Kanye Udo came
• 34:48
Speaker 3: from Army. All right, salute the troops. Right after the
• 34:51
Speaker 3: Army Navy gave he was the first guy to go
• 34:53
Speaker 3: into the portal. This guy had eleven hundred yards, ten touchdowns,
• 34:57
Speaker 3: one hundred and seventy nine carries. This guy is a
• 34:59
Speaker 3: zone gap scheme type of type of guy that's going
• 35:01
Speaker 3: to get downhill. He's gonna get those dirty three and
• 35:04
Speaker 3: a half four yards for you. And there's one more canny.
• 35:06
Speaker 2: Let me take a little peaks Ky Relieve Brown trans
• 35:09
  Speaker 2: from USC.
• 35:09
Speaker 3: He was at a SU last year he got injured
• 35:12
Speaker 3: in I believe it was camp rumor is from the
• 35:15
Speaker 3: coaching staff. Guys healthy. He's a take the top off
• 35:18
Speaker 3: type of cat. He's a dude that Sam lev is
• 35:20
Speaker 3: gonna be able to wheel and deal. Throw it out
• 35:22
Speaker 3: of the backfield, to put him out in the slot
• 35:23
Speaker 3: a little bit, give him some screens and.
• 35:25
Speaker 2: He's going to be able to have the home run ability.
• 35:27
Speaker 2: All three of those guys.
• 35:29
Speaker 3: Just because you have a running back room by community
• 35:32
Speaker 3: doesn't make it a bad thing.
• 35:33
  Speaker 2: You need.
• 35:34
Speaker 3: You got these three guys to take over for that
• 35:36
Speaker 3: one guy, Camp Scoutabo. You've got the attitude, You've got
• 35:39
Speaker 3: the ability to instill a culture and it has to
• 35:41
Speaker 3: happen this year in the Big twelve. By taking over
• 35:44
Speaker 3: and doing it two times in a row, they should
• 35:46
  Speaker 3: have beat Texas.
• 35:47
Speaker 1: Listen, I'm not saying think you're disrespecting.
• 35:51
Speaker 3: I think like, if you are who you say you are,
• 35:57
Speaker 3: this is when you put you cement. It is right
• 36:00
Speaker 3: now everyone's looking to ask you and being like pitchforks everybody.
• 36:03
Speaker 3: You know, it's plastic surgery and booze out in Asus.
• 36:06
Speaker 2: That's what they do there.
• 36:08
Speaker 3: Now you're able to turn to a football culture, and
• 36:10
Speaker 3: Kenny Dillingham's that cat.
• 36:12
Speaker 5: I'm gonna tell you something no one told you in
• 36:14
Speaker 5: Kansas City last night. I'm really proud of you.
• 36:16
  Speaker 2: Thank you.
• 36:17
Speaker 5: You just you just rolled. I'm picking Arizona State. I
• 36:20
Speaker 5: got nothing to add. I'm almost gonna be tempted to
• 36:23
Speaker 5: mention other teams I didn't pick because you so thoroughly
• 36:26
Speaker 5: broke down the Sun Devils. Kenny Dillingham could have watched
• 36:28
Speaker 5: this and learned something about his team. That's how proud
• 36:31
  Speaker 5: I you.
• 36:32
Speaker 2: You. You let everyone.
• 36:34
Speaker 5: Else cook knowing I'm sitting on Arizona State over here.
• 36:37
Speaker 5: When we get to Arizona State, I'm rolling.
• 36:39
  Speaker 2: Yeah, we're rolling.
• 36:40
Speaker 5: I do want to say this. You mentioned this team
• 36:41
Speaker 5: one time, you said Kansas No one cares about Kansas. No,
• 36:46
Speaker 5: they're just not in the middle of nowhere, and prediction wise,
• 36:48
Speaker 5: they're out in the middle of nowhere. No one's predicting them,
• 36:50
Speaker 5: no one's picking them. Uh. Jalen Daniels has been chronically
• 36:53
Speaker 5: injured his whole career. He came back middle of last year.
• 36:57
Speaker 5: Down the stretch last year, I thought they were the
• 36:59
Speaker 5: best in the Big twelve. They were playing at the
• 37:02
Speaker 5: highest level, but they were terrible at the beginning of
• 37:04
Speaker 5: the year, so it didn't matter in the standings. But
• 37:06
Speaker 5: I took a mental note, and then I checked back
• 37:08
Speaker 5: in in spring. Hey, Daniels looks good. Check back in
• 37:11
Speaker 5: early fall camps. So far fingers crossed, so good. That's
• 37:14
Speaker 5: the team. If you're looking for someone to come like
• 37:16
Speaker 5: steing from the rafters just out of nowhere, it's probably Kansas.
• 37:19
Speaker 5: Utah makes me the most nervous because, like you said,
• 37:22
Speaker 5: they did the Oklahoma thing. They went and got a
• 37:25
Speaker 5: quarterback and an offensive coordinator from the same team. Now
• 37:28
Speaker 5: in their case it was New Mexico. No one's paying
• 37:30
Speaker 5: attention to that. Whittingham. All he was doing was win
• 37:33
Speaker 5: the nine or ten games a year. They had one
• 37:35
Speaker 5: bad year, and everyone wants to write them off again
• 37:37
Speaker 5: because they're Utah, so they don't naturally get talked about.
• 37:40
Speaker 5: But the thing with Arizona State that I'll go back to,
• 37:43
Speaker 5: while everyone's talking about returning starters, and they do have
• 37:45
Speaker 5: a lot of them, is can you believe that they
• 37:49
Speaker 5: won like they did last year and no coach left.
• 37:53
Speaker 5: You don't think there was a market for Arizona State staff,
• 37:56
Speaker 5: I promise you, because I know the market, I know
• 37:58
Speaker 5: the players. There were big, big market dollars. There were
• 38:01
Speaker 5: big raises to be had for a lot of Kenny's
• 38:04
Speaker 5: coaches to leave, and so Kenny did what he had
• 38:07
Speaker 5: to do to keep him there.
• 38:09
Speaker 2: But I'm going to tell you even then, it wasn't matching.
• 38:11
Speaker 5: Dollar for dollar. It's guys who were all in on
• 38:13
Speaker 5: Arizona State, so not just the head coach there. But
• 38:16
Speaker 5: if you really want to talk about the impact of
• 38:18
Speaker 5: a culture, it's how much does the program reflect the
• 38:21
Speaker 5: fingerprint of the head coach? And top down everyone thinks
• 38:24
Speaker 5: like him there, everyone acts like him there, at least
• 38:26
Speaker 5: as much as they naturally can. So that's why they
• 38:29
Speaker 5: peaked at the right time. Last year. I thought I
• 38:31
Speaker 5: was State was going to beat him in the Big
• 38:32
Speaker 5: twelve title game. They just drug him. And so if
• 38:35
Speaker 5: they get in the mix, I trust them to peak
• 38:38
Speaker 5: at the right time because I know they can't. I
• 38:39
Speaker 5: haven't seen anyone else do that, so I think they're
• 38:41
Speaker 5: going to be in the mix. I trust Arizona State
• 38:43
Speaker 5: to be there at the end, I'm going to take them.
• 38:45
Speaker 3: There's so much money in the state of Arizona, especially
• 38:49
Speaker 3: in that Maricopa County Tempe Scottsdale area. If you're able
• 38:52
Speaker 3: to replicate what you did last year, Arizona, I've been
• 38:56
Speaker 3: on record sating this it's the most fair weather fan
• 38:58
Speaker 3: state of all the states. Like when your team's great,
• 39:01
Speaker 3: everyone's all of a sudden completely bought in. You see
• 39:03
Speaker 3: it with the Cardinals in like two thousand and seven.
• 39:04
  Speaker 2: Two and eight.
• 39:05
Speaker 3: If they're able to do it, then they're going to
• 39:07
Speaker 3: have the money they need to get the high end players,
• 39:10
Speaker 3: not the five stars who commit to the Michigan's or
• 39:13
Speaker 3: Hot States Georgia's, but the ones that and then and
• 39:16
Speaker 3: then transfer over to a su they're gonna be able
• 39:17
Speaker 3: to get them right out of high school. Yeah, right,
• 39:19
Speaker 3: right right out of community college, those types of things.
• 39:23
Speaker 3: So this is this is a big year for the
• 39:26
Speaker 3: next not just for this year, but for the next
• 39:27
Speaker 3: ten years of ASU.
• 39:30
Speaker 1: Anything, anything, any insight on the Texas Tech that you
• 39:33
Speaker 1: have that being in the weeds of the Big Twelve Conference.
• 39:37
Speaker 5: That's the experiment. That's the experiment of college football this year.
• 39:39
Speaker 5: Everyone else in the Big Twelve's pretty much built the
• 39:42
Speaker 5: same way to varying degrees. Texas Tech is a totally
• 39:47
Speaker 5: different animal. Texas Tech realized we got a window here
• 39:50
Speaker 5: we can go spend. They did, and I just want
• 39:53
Speaker 5: people like, if you know the Big Twelve, you watched
• 39:56
Speaker 5: it last year, you will turn on a Texas Tech
• 39:59
Speaker 5: game this year and you'll we'll see guys who started
• 40:01
Speaker 5: for them on the D line last year that sometimes
• 40:03
Speaker 5: are not even rotating in with their two's. Some of
• 40:06
Speaker 5: them are bumped down to threes. They're not bad kids,
• 40:09
Speaker 5: they're not character guys. They're not hurt. They just got
• 40:12
Speaker 5: recruited over or in this case, portaled over. And there's
• 40:16
Speaker 5: gonna be a lot to talk about offensive weapons. Their
• 40:19
Speaker 5: D line may end up being the best in the conference.
• 40:22
Speaker 5: And because they went to the SEC and Big Tenant
• 40:24
Speaker 5: got all the guys, you're gonna look at the body
• 40:26
Speaker 5: type I was in there building in the spring, Like,
• 40:28
Speaker 5: if you looked at them, you would say, this could
• 40:30
Speaker 5: pass for like Florida State, it could pass for Arkansas
• 40:34
Speaker 5: or something like that, just where you would expect bigger bodies,
• 40:37
Speaker 5: and yet they're out there in Lubbock, Texas, because that's
• 40:39
Speaker 5: where they went to get them all. So then the
• 40:41
Speaker 5: only question I had, I was telling you, the only
• 40:42
Speaker 5: question I had is, all right, you just went and
• 40:44
Speaker 5: got a bunch of individuals. Is it really as simple
• 40:46
Speaker 5: as tossing them in a blender, pressing the button, pouring
• 40:48
Speaker 5: it out, voila, we have a team. I'm skeptical of that,
• 40:52
Speaker 5: only be cause history has told me to be skeptical
• 40:54
Speaker 5: of that. But then history also says, hey, man, you've
• 40:56
Speaker 5: never even seen anyone try this. So I've talked to
• 40:59
Speaker 5: people in that building as much as I can. They
• 41:01
Speaker 5: swear the vibe is as good as they've ever been around.
• 41:04
Speaker 5: They swear it's not just a bunch of mercenaries. Like,
• 41:07
Speaker 5: we've got a team here, We got a unit here.
• 41:09
Speaker 5: Ask our quarterback he's been here for a while. Ask
• 41:11
Speaker 5: him what his best group of guys he's been around is.
• 41:13
Speaker 5: So it's August. People are talking like that in August,
• 41:17
Speaker 5: live bullets flying. A couple of weeks, fast forward a month.
• 41:20
Speaker 5: If they're still talking like that, that team's only gonna
• 41:23
Speaker 5: get better, Like it's only going to gel. But if
• 41:26
Speaker 5: it gets wobbly early in the season, that's my question, Like,
• 41:29
Speaker 5: if they get cut early in the season, what kind
• 41:32
Speaker 5: of team were you looking at?
• 41:33
  Speaker 2: Yeah?
• 41:34
Speaker 3: Well up this episode real quick, butr you Form Energy.
• 41:37
Speaker 3: Foreign Energy delivers a best in class taste with natural
• 41:40
Speaker 3: flavors and zero sugar. Form Nagery has natural caffeinated derived
• 41:43
Speaker 3: from green tea. Form comes in a variety of flavors,
• 41:46
Speaker 3: talking about screaming freedom. That's rocket pop inspired, Yeah, grape smash,
• 41:50
Speaker 3: blue Blitz, orange Fury. Perfect for those who love to
• 41:52
Speaker 3: put in the work form energy. We do the work
• 41:54
Speaker 3: when your boys are here studying for these things. What
• 41:56
Speaker 3: do we do crack the top of a form energy
• 41:59
Speaker 3: sloid that they down were wired? We're moving x's and o's,
• 42:02
Speaker 3: i's and w's real like computers out there. We do
• 42:04
Speaker 3: the work form energy. Back to this episode, should we
• 42:06
Speaker 3: get to uh ACC acc is many? I feel we
• 42:10
Speaker 3: could be a little quicker with this one because I
• 42:12
Speaker 3: think we're all sitting in the same place with the
• 42:14
  Speaker 3: ACC Clemson Clemson.
• 42:17
Speaker 5: Yeah, I had one caveat.
• 42:19
Speaker 2: Okay, are you like you're you? Is Georgia Tech? Well,
• 42:23
  Speaker 2: Georgia Tech.
• 42:24
Speaker 5: But I believe if they meet him again in the
• 42:25
Speaker 5: ACC title game, like I would pick Clemson. Georgia Tech's
• 42:28
Speaker 5: my sleeper in the conference. Love the identity of the program,
• 42:32
Speaker 5: Love the senior leadership at quarterback, good player haines kiing.
• 42:35
Speaker 5: I think if they did nothing more than one the
• 42:37
Speaker 5: Georgia game last year, which was like a nine overtime game,
• 42:40
Speaker 5: everyone to be talking about him right now, which wouldn't
• 42:42
Speaker 5: change what quality of team they are, whether they wanted
• 42:44
Speaker 5: to lost that game last year relative to this year.
• 42:46
Speaker 5: But I am looking at Miami and they were so
• 42:50
Speaker 5: terrible defensively last year. They wasted cam Ward, just like
• 42:54
Speaker 5: LSU wasted Jaden Daniels, just like USC wasted Caleb Williams.
• 42:59
Speaker 5: You had that happened at Miami, all right. So I'm
• 43:02
Speaker 5: talking to someone from down there the other day on
• 43:03
Speaker 5: the staff, and they said, not trying to create hype.
• 43:06
Speaker 5: I'm trying to be really responsible with what I'm about
• 43:09
Speaker 5: to say. But he said, you need to understand what
• 43:11
Speaker 5: we did at dB, Like, yeah, we went hired a
• 43:13
Speaker 5: new defensive coordinator in Heatherman from Minnesota, but you need
• 43:16
Speaker 5: to understand we got one kid that's left over from
• 43:19
Speaker 5: that defensive backfield. We flushed the entire thing. OJ Frederick's
• 43:22
Speaker 5: the one that's left. He was the lone bright spot there.
• 43:25
Speaker 5: Last year. We portled in a whole new secondary that
• 43:28
Speaker 5: will end up being a strength on this team. If
• 43:32
Speaker 5: that person is right, then Miami's gonna be a real
• 43:35
Speaker 5: real player in this because Miami's got better line of
• 43:37
Speaker 5: scrimmage talent and Clemson does. They are probably a little
• 43:39
Speaker 5: deeper in talent than Clemson is. Clemson's frontline guys are great,
• 43:43
Speaker 5: you get past that front line. If Clemson encounters any
• 43:46
Speaker 5: injuries this year, I get really concerned about him because
• 43:49
Speaker 5: they get you cut into the bark a little bits
• 43:51
Speaker 5: really green, really quick. But if they can stay healthy,
• 43:54
Speaker 5: I trust him. I trust him more than a lot
• 43:57
Speaker 5: of the question trusts that I have with Miami. So
• 44:00
Speaker 5: that's why I went Clemson. But Miami's got to be
• 44:03
Speaker 5: in this mix. They gotta at least find a way
• 44:05
Speaker 5: to be in this mix they should have been in
• 44:06
  Speaker 5: last year.
• 44:06
Speaker 3: Are you concerned at all with Beck's injury that he
• 44:08
Speaker 3: is sustained in the seas Championship.
• 44:10
Speaker 5: I am not concerned with the injury. I am concerned
• 44:12
Speaker 5: about them having to replace their top half dozen pass catchers.
• 44:16
Speaker 5: I am concerned about that, But I am The reason
• 44:19
Speaker 5: I go to the dB room is cam Ward rolls
• 44:23
Speaker 5: into the stadium every year last year knowing, yeah, I
• 44:24
Speaker 5: gotta hang forty today. That's what I have to do
• 44:27
Speaker 5: for us to win.
• 44:28
Speaker 2: Saying, and just Miami too, they just they randomly shit
• 44:32
Speaker 2: the bed. Yes, that's called inconsistency.
• 44:34
Speaker 5: Yeah, because you can't play defense, so you gotta score
• 44:37
  Speaker 5: every possession.
• 44:37
Speaker 2: Right, even against like Cow.
• 44:39
Speaker 1: And you go back a couple of years ago, it's
• 44:41
Speaker 1: like coaching staff mistakes during situational football. It's even if
• 44:46
Speaker 1: they do have all the things that you're saying, like
• 44:48
Speaker 1: if they have this, if they have that, it's still
• 44:51
Speaker 1: like when those moments happen, are they going to get
• 44:54
Speaker 1: over that hump and actually be a real contender or
• 44:56
Speaker 1: are they gonna shit the bed again?
• 44:57
Speaker 5: I think those are fair enough questions for me to
• 44:59
Speaker 5: go CLEMEMB because I believe in Miami this year. I
• 45:02
Speaker 5: don't think they're going to fall off. But Clemson's approven commodity,
• 45:05
  Speaker 5: Miami's not yet.
• 45:06
Speaker 3: Can I ask you about Bill Belichick In North Carolina,
• 45:09
Speaker 3: Joe Ford, they feel like there's just going to be
• 45:12
Speaker 3: all of a sudden the major shift or is just
• 45:14
Speaker 3: so different in your mind that the NFL coach going
• 45:16
  Speaker 3: to college.
• 45:17
Speaker 2: Is going to be able to shift the culture that quickly.
• 45:19
Speaker 5: Well, let me answer your question with a question. Do
• 45:21
Speaker 5: you think it's as stupid as I do? That people
• 45:23
Speaker 5: say college football is just like the NFL? Now? Oh yeah, okay,
• 45:28
Speaker 5: So if you think that's stupid, then you probably agree
• 45:31
Speaker 5: with me. Well, I don't know if you agree with me,
• 45:33
Speaker 5: But if you think it's dumb for people to say that,
• 45:35
Speaker 5: then you understand how different a world.
• 45:37
Speaker 2: Bill Belichick's walking into.
• 45:38
Speaker 5: If you don't understand that, and if you're fifty thousand
• 45:41
Speaker 5: feet above college football and you see, ooh they got
• 45:44
Speaker 5: nil they pay the players, it must be like college
• 45:46
Speaker 5: football now, then you ignorantly think Bill Belichick's going to
• 45:49
Speaker 5: come in and teach college football a lesson. I happen
• 45:51
Speaker 5: to be on the other side of the fence. I
• 45:52
Speaker 5: happen to think that almost nothing about this sport is
• 45:55
Speaker 5: like the NFL up to an including the talent acquisition mechanism,
• 45:58
Speaker 5: where people have to choose you, even if you got
• 46:01
Speaker 5: money to offer, they have to choose you. So by
• 46:04
Speaker 5: my estimation, they're paying him ten million a year. And
• 46:07
Speaker 5: I don't think anyone in college football gets paid ten
• 46:09
Speaker 5: million a year to go seven and five or eight
• 46:11
Speaker 5: and four. But that's North Carolina football. Historically, they're a
• 46:13
Speaker 5: seven and a half win per caliber or year caliber program.
• 46:17
Speaker 5: If you're asking me if he can do that, my
• 46:19
Speaker 5: answer is yes, emphatically, he can be what North Carolina
• 46:23
Speaker 5: has been. That's not what people are expecting. People are
• 46:25
Speaker 5: thinking he's gonna be above and beyond what North Carolina's been.
• 46:28
Speaker 5: So at that point, you've got to bring something to
• 46:30
Speaker 5: the table above and beyond. So at that point you
• 46:33
Speaker 5: would sell me on oh Man, the Belichick way and
• 46:36
Speaker 5: the culture that he's gonna end still and all this
• 46:38
Speaker 5: and that, and I'm gonna ask you where are the
• 46:40
Speaker 5: player's gonna come from? And you may sell me on, well,
• 46:43
Speaker 5: he doesn't need to recruit like Georgia or Ohio State
• 46:45
Speaker 5: because he's gonna develop. He's gonna get hateful three stars.
• 46:48
Speaker 5: He's gonna develop them. And I'm gonna ask develop them
• 46:51
Speaker 5: into what? And you're gonna say, oh, they're gonna be
• 46:53
Speaker 5: good football players. Okay, good enough to do what?
• 46:55
  Speaker 2: Though?
• 46:56
Speaker 5: Because remember you didn't hire him to just be what
• 46:58
Speaker 5: North Carolina's been, just cut through it. You hired him
• 47:01
Speaker 5: to contend for a playoff spot. That means you've got
• 47:04
Speaker 5: to compete against other teams that are gunning for a
• 47:06
Speaker 5: playoff spot. And what you find out at the highest
• 47:08
Speaker 5: level of college football is it's not an either or.
• 47:11
Speaker 5: Like at Georgia, they can go get talent and develop it.
• 47:14
Speaker 5: Like they're good at recruiting and exes and those bam
• 47:17
Speaker 5: is good at recruiting and x'es and those Clemson ditdo
• 47:19
Speaker 5: Miami like, those guys are going to have players that
• 47:22
Speaker 5: are more talented than yours. And they can out scheme you,
• 47:26
Speaker 5: or they can make scheme irrelevant because they just out
• 47:28
Speaker 5: Jimmy you, out Joe you. So I am so not
• 47:32
Speaker 5: sold on them coming in there and revolutionizing North Carolina football.
• 47:37
Speaker 5: And you know, Saban coached into his seventies and retired,
• 47:41
Speaker 5: but he had been in the sport a lifetime. Belichick
• 47:43
Speaker 5: is coming into the sport for the first time in
• 47:45
Speaker 5: his seventies, so it makes him older than any three
• 47:47
Speaker 5: of his players combined, which is just a wild stat
• 47:50
Speaker 5: to think about. And ironically, this.
• 47:55
Speaker 2: Is the easiest schedule they'll have. This year's the easiest
• 47:57
  Speaker 2: schedule they'll have.
• 47:58
Speaker 5: Yeah, they may have the lightest schedule and the AC
• 48:00
Speaker 5: I just they play TCU week one, which is a
• 48:03
Speaker 5: team we never mentioned in the Big twe right, which actually, yeah,
• 48:06
Speaker 5: they're probably Shark Finn and win by thirty week one.
• 48:08
  Speaker 5: I don't buy it.
• 48:09
  Speaker 2: You're out.
• 48:10
  Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm out.
• 48:12
Speaker 2: For those reasons. I'm out for those reasons. I am also, well, let's.
• 48:15
Speaker 1: Move to the Big ten, primetime conference, the conference that
• 48:18
Speaker 1: holds the last two national titles.
• 48:21
Speaker 3: How do we feel. Go ahead, I'm gonna take Oregon.
• 48:25
Speaker 3: And the reason why I'm taking Oregon is simple. It's culture.
• 48:29
Speaker 3: It's Dan Lanning. It's a guy like Dante Moore who
• 48:32
Speaker 3: is not He's been there for two springs in two falls,
• 48:36
Speaker 3: and he got to sit behind it, sit and watch
• 48:38
Speaker 3: Bo Nicks, watch Dylan Gabriel.
• 48:40
Speaker 2: And now he is taking the helmet.
• 48:42
Speaker 3: Every person, including yourself, who has gone to Oregon and
• 48:45
Speaker 3: watched him practice, say he is not going to be
• 48:46
Speaker 3: the issue this year. You look at the culture in
• 48:50
Speaker 3: the northwest of what Dan Lanning has been able to achieve.
• 48:52
Speaker 3: October twelfth, they play Ohio State. They win that game
• 48:55
Speaker 3: thirty two to thirty one. Last second quarterback for a
• 48:58
Speaker 3: hot State takes a slide time runs out the whole
• 49:00
Speaker 3: the stands, they pile into the stadium, they rush the field.
• 49:03
Speaker 2: Everyone's feeling it. What an opportunity it is for.
• 49:06
Speaker 3: Eighteen to twenty one year old kids to drop The
• 49:09
Speaker 3: next week week against Purdue.
• 49:10
Speaker 2: Instead, they put thirty five on Pue Perdue. It's zero.
• 49:13
Speaker 3: The week after that they play Illinois thirty eight to
• 49:16
Speaker 3: my eyes are bad.
• 49:17
  Speaker 2: Nine.
• 49:17
Speaker 3: Then they go to ann Arbor, Michigan, my beloved Wolverines,
• 49:20
Speaker 3: And that felt a little personal because I know Dan
• 49:22
Speaker 3: Landing watches the show. They cover the spread all right,
• 49:25
Speaker 3: and they go thirty eight seventeen. So the culture that
• 49:29
Speaker 3: Oregon has is incredible. I think they're going to they're
• 49:32
Speaker 3: going to continue that step. They won the Big Ten
• 49:34
Speaker 3: last year. But it really comes down to the offensive
• 49:36
Speaker 3: line as well. Three of your five guys, your starters
• 49:40
Speaker 3: are transfer guys. You need them to gel. You got
• 49:42
Speaker 3: a guy in Isaiah world too. We're able to see
• 49:44
Speaker 3: it at the spring practice. Guy six a three fifteen,
• 49:47
Speaker 3: small ankles, small small hips, wives, white shoulder looks, the
• 49:51
Speaker 3: part plays a part. The guys a dancing bear. The
• 49:55
Speaker 3: offensive line coach, I don't want to fuck this up,
• 49:57
  Speaker 3: but alak Terry.
• 49:58
Speaker 2: I believe it is.
• 50:00
Speaker 3: Got to sit in his team meeting room, tell the
• 50:02
Speaker 3: guys he loved them, talked about winning the Joe Moore Award.
• 50:05
Speaker 3: These guys are having conversations, being treated like an adult
• 50:08
Speaker 3: in a cultural atmosphere that I've personally never seen before
• 50:11
Speaker 3: in my entire life. Their bought in their stadiums, bought
• 50:15
Speaker 3: in the cultures, bought in Dan Lanny, He's not going anywhere.
• 50:19
  Speaker 2: I love Oregon.
• 50:20
Speaker 3: I love Oregon, and I'm more confused about Penn State
• 50:24
Speaker 3: and Ohio State, which are your next two top dogs.
• 50:26
Speaker 3: And that's why I lean. I fall back on your foundation,
• 50:30
Speaker 3: which is always culture. I know Ohio State, we give
• 50:33
Speaker 3: them the benefit of doubt. They're always going to be good,
• 50:35
Speaker 3: They're always going to be contenders, and you know they're
• 50:37
Speaker 3: going to win at least ten games every single year.
• 50:40
Speaker 3: Penn State is a little bit of the opposite. You
• 50:42
Speaker 3: look at Penn State and you're like, they have so
• 50:45
Speaker 3: many returning starters. They lose their tight end, they lose
• 50:48
Speaker 3: Abdual Carter, who are both top fifteen picks. They bring
• 50:51
Speaker 3: a bunch of wide receivers in. But it's like when
• 50:55
Speaker 3: we first met and spoke about Penn State. You'd give
• 50:58
Speaker 3: the reference of three fifteen. So you're trying to max
• 51:01
Speaker 3: out and you get to hear some guys can do this,
• 51:03
Speaker 3: and some guys do this. This is not an indictment
• 51:07
Speaker 3: on them, but unfortunately, statistically, it just shows that Penn State,
• 51:10
Speaker 3: when it gets down to the nitty gritty of top fives,
• 51:13
Speaker 3: they can't they can't get that last little lockout in
• 51:16
Speaker 3: that three fifteen. So I have to give them. I
• 51:18
Speaker 3: have to essentially like you. But the Apple reference, Apple
• 51:21
Speaker 3: comes out, you buy the Apple. To me, Penn State
• 51:23
Speaker 3: is my Samsung right now.
• 51:24
  Speaker 2: I see it.
• 51:25
  Speaker 3: It's probably a great quality product. I don't know how
• 51:27
Speaker 3: to use it. I don't know how to look at it,
• 51:29
Speaker 3: so I essentially stay away from it.
• 51:31
Speaker 2: So I got a organ Joshua.
• 51:35
Speaker 5: Twelve hours ago, I was up at Penn State Washington practice.
• 51:40
Speaker 5: I first thing that stood out to me is Tyler
• 51:43
Speaker 5: Warren gone. I think they have two really quality tight
• 51:46
Speaker 5: ends there that America will come to learn this year.
• 51:49
Speaker 5: But still Penn State's had tight ends before. They haven't
• 51:52
Speaker 5: done what you're talking about, So that alone doesn't sell me.
• 51:55
Speaker 5: Really good looking offensive line sixty five three twenty five
• 51:57
Speaker 5: across the board. But they've had that before, so that's
• 51:59
Speaker 5: not to sell me. Good defensive players all three levels,
• 52:02
Speaker 5: a bunch of them play in the league. They've had
• 52:04
Speaker 5: that before, so drew Aller's back like they've had all that.
• 52:07
Speaker 5: The one thing they didn't have is a threat out wide,
• 52:10
Speaker 5: or multiple threats out wide. That is what has separated
• 52:13
Speaker 5: them from the big boys. No one scared a Penn
• 52:16
Speaker 5: State beating them throwing the ball. And I'm confident enough
• 52:21
Speaker 5: that that changed with the kids they brought in in
• 52:23
Speaker 5: the Portland watching the practice last night that I am
• 52:25
Speaker 5: going to actually pick them to win the league this year.
• 52:28
Speaker 5: I'll get to schedule in a second, but I'm watching
• 52:30
Speaker 5: them practice. They got a kid named Trevor Panna out
• 52:33
Speaker 5: of Syracuse, and they had to fight to get him.
• 52:37
Speaker 5: He makes two contested catches in indie stuff last night,
• 52:41
Speaker 5: probably better than plays I saw Penn State make all
• 52:43
Speaker 5: year at the receiver position. Remember this is a team
• 52:45
Speaker 5: that did not have a wide receiver reception against Notre Dame.
• 52:49
  Speaker 5: That's a semi final playoff game. A wide receiver doesn't
• 52:53
Speaker 5: have a catch the whole game, like you'd have to
• 52:55
Speaker 5: try to do get on video games and try to
• 52:57
Speaker 5: be that bad. So I think they rectified that and
• 53:00
Speaker 5: then elsewhere. There's not much else that had to change
• 53:03
Speaker 5: because you said it. This is not a team that's
• 53:04
Speaker 5: a long way away. It's a team that needed to
• 53:06
Speaker 5: find the one percent. How do you lock out, Well,
• 53:09
Speaker 5: you go either get stronger or in this case, you
• 53:11
Speaker 5: go to the portal and you find the players that
• 53:13
Speaker 5: you needed. So outside of that, Oregon comes to them early.
• 53:17
Speaker 5: Penn State needs to win that game. That's week four,
• 53:19
Speaker 5: week five, something like that. They don't play any quality
• 53:21
Speaker 5: competition really before that. That's the white out game. They're
• 53:24
Speaker 5: not putting it at noon. It's the seven thirty kickoff,
• 53:27
Speaker 5: so they get the white out. I mean they've been
• 53:29
Speaker 5: like bloodthirsty for that for a while. They finally get it.
• 53:32
Speaker 5: Organ's taking a new quarterback, new starter at quarterback on
• 53:34
Speaker 5: the road, a lot of new guys. I'm the thing
• 53:37
Speaker 5: about Oregon went and watched them practice last week too,
• 53:40
Speaker 5: is I got no doubt about Dante Moore, Like you said,
• 53:43
Speaker 5: Decorean Moore, top wide receiver in the country. I believe
• 53:47
Speaker 5: he's a stud. He checks out, he checks all the boxes.
• 53:49
Speaker 5: Got no doubt about him. The wide receiver room downstream
• 53:52
Speaker 5: of Decorean Moore is not a weakness, but it is
• 53:55
Speaker 5: a question. And that early in the season, that's like
• 53:59
Speaker 5: that their baptism on the road. That's that offensive baptism
• 54:02
Speaker 5: on the road. And I think Penn State should win
• 54:04
Speaker 5: that game. And if they do, think about what that
• 54:07
Speaker 5: sets them up for the rest of the year. Like
• 54:08
Speaker 5: even if they go and lose to Ohio State, they're
• 54:11
Speaker 5: probably still in Indianapolis. Penn State is one of the
• 54:14
Speaker 5: surest playoff teams this year, but they've already been that.
• 54:18
Speaker 5: We're looking to get them over the hump in the conference.
• 54:21
Speaker 5: I just, man, there's so much solid, like dependable assets
• 54:25
Speaker 5: about that team. The one variable they answered enough at
• 54:28
Speaker 5: wide receiver to where I'm doing it. I'm buying them.
• 54:32
Speaker 2: I think you laid it out perfectly.
• 54:34
Speaker 1: I think it's those two teams because you're completely right
• 54:37
Speaker 1: about Oregon, the culture, everything going on, the talent that
• 54:40
Speaker 1: they have on the roster, and you brought it up
• 54:42
Speaker 1: the wide receiver room.
• 54:43
Speaker 2: They go, I get the cat from what was it, Syracuse,
• 54:45
  Speaker 2: Troy USCUSC.
• 54:48
Speaker 1: They went and got a starting backer from North Carolina
• 54:50
Speaker 1: to plug on defense. They're returning a lot of they're
• 54:53
Speaker 1: all big ten guys on defense. They return. He talked
• 54:56
Speaker 1: about the size of the offensive line. Four out of
• 54:58
Speaker 1: five return. They got an All American backfield. You mentioned
• 55:04
Speaker 1: the tight ends. They have every piece. To me, it's
• 55:07
Speaker 1: not like to me, it comes down to James Franklin.
• 55:11
Speaker 1: Is he a fraud with a roster like this. I
• 55:13
Speaker 1: feel like this is the year he goes out. He's
• 55:16
Speaker 1: a coordinator, merchant. He goes out against Jim Knowles from
• 55:18
Speaker 1: Ohio State, arguably what's talked about him being one of
• 55:22
Speaker 1: the best game planners on the defensive side in college football.
• 55:25
Speaker 1: You go out and get Jim Knowles. You have all
• 55:27
Speaker 1: these guys returning on defense, you have all of it
• 55:29
Speaker 1: on offense. And I do think Drew Aler also makes
• 55:33
Speaker 1: a jump, not in the sense of he's going to
• 55:35
Speaker 1: be just this better all around player. He's gotten better
• 55:38
Speaker 1: with his arm, he's gotten better with his feet and
• 55:40
Speaker 1: everything else. I just think the year that you can
• 55:42
Speaker 1: have if Drew Rowler is a guy that's in the
• 55:44
Speaker 1: film room, and it seems like he is, but you
• 55:46
Speaker 1: make a jump from going you're working with an oc
• 55:48
Speaker 1: in year one, now they're in year two together.
• 55:50
Speaker 2: You go to front. You go from photogenetic memory pattern matching.
• 55:54
Speaker 1: To you feel prepared all season going to play to
• 55:57
Speaker 1: now you have another year in the system, more watching film,
• 56:00
Speaker 1: seeing what the defense is trying to do to you,
• 56:02
Speaker 1: to where you are better at anticipating the game versus
• 56:05
Speaker 1: I need to get prepared for this game and having
• 56:07
Speaker 1: the roll decks of calls that the coach has given me.
• 56:09
Speaker 1: I think this is the year for Penn State because
• 56:11
Speaker 1: again they filled those holes at the wide receiver spot.
• 56:13
Speaker 1: You said you saw them in person yesterday, So I
• 56:16
  Speaker 1: trust that this.
• 56:17
Speaker 2: Is the year they win the Big ten. I also
• 56:22
Speaker 2: know I know exactly where you're going to take a moment.
• 56:25
Speaker 1: If the national championship is gonna stay in the Big ten,
• 56:28
Speaker 1: I think it is with Penn State.
• 56:30
Speaker 5: That's what I want you understand. Just let it be known.
• 56:34
Speaker 1: Because this not only not only it's like I'm buying
• 56:37
Speaker 1: all the Penn State stock, but I when you see
• 56:40
Speaker 1: all of this shit on paper, this is the put
• 56:43
Speaker 1: up or shut up year for James Franklin.
• 56:46
Speaker 2: Being surrounded by all of these goons.
• 56:48
Speaker 1: He's orchestrated an incredible roster from top to bottom. This
• 56:52
Speaker 1: is the year to where you know, Penn State fans
• 56:55
Speaker 1: are out there right now just being like, we're gonna
• 56:57
Speaker 1: be a two loss, We're gonna be a three loss team,
• 56:58
Speaker 1: and Havasus every year, Havasus. This is the year where
• 57:01
Speaker 1: if it happened again, if they're a two or three
• 57:03
Speaker 1: lost team again in a bad fashion, he's got to
• 57:06
Speaker 1: absolutely be on the hot seat.
• 57:08
Speaker 3: In my opinion, this might be a dumb question, but
• 57:11
Speaker 3: at what point is it too much too much for
• 57:15
Speaker 3: Franklin being one in fifteen versus top fifteen teams, being
• 57:18
Speaker 3: two in whatever ten versus top ten teams where he's
• 57:22
Speaker 3: got the roster. Now he has literally set himself up
• 57:24
Speaker 3: in such a big way where it's like, if you
• 57:27
Speaker 3: don't do this, you are not the coach for Penn State.
• 57:30
Speaker 5: I had him on the show last night. I asked
• 57:31
Speaker 5: him this to his face. I said, for a long time,
• 57:33
Speaker 5: they said Kirby couldn't win the big one, then he
• 57:35
Speaker 5: won one, he won two. Then they said Ryan Day
• 57:38
Speaker 5: couldn't win the big one. Then Ryan just won one
• 57:40
Speaker 5: last year. Now they're saying about you. He's just I'm
• 57:43
Speaker 5: just sitting there talking to him like I'm talking to you,
• 57:45
Speaker 5: and said, so that's pressure. Is it fair? Is it unfair? Like?
• 57:49
Speaker 5: How do you feel about it? And he said, well,
• 57:51
Speaker 5: first off, I can't listen to it, but like I
• 57:53
Speaker 5: took the job for that. I coach here for that,
• 57:56
Speaker 5: so I welcome the pressure. He said, you don't put
• 57:58
Speaker 5: one hundred and ten thousand people in a building because
• 58:00
Speaker 5: they're all normal insane. So if I'm gonna get paid
• 58:03
Speaker 5: what I get paid, I'm gonna have the job I have.
• 58:05
Speaker 5: That's gonna come with it. He said the same thing
• 58:07
Speaker 5: about Drew. You're gonna give you the quarterback at Penn State.
• 58:09
Speaker 5: It's not good enough to just win nine, win ten games.
• 58:12
Speaker 5: So the Franklin conversation has always been really funny to
• 58:15
Speaker 5: me because there are people out there who get mad
• 58:18
Speaker 5: that he doesn't win those few big games and they
• 58:20
Speaker 5: call him overrated, which I don't believe in because no
• 58:23
Speaker 5: one's ever rated him above Ryan Day, no one's ever
• 58:26
Speaker 5: rated him above Kirby Smart, no one's ever rated him
• 58:29
Speaker 5: above Saban when Saban was still around. They rate him
• 58:31
Speaker 5: like fifth or sixth or seventh. That's about where people
• 58:34
Speaker 5: would rate James Franklin, which is about where he is.
• 58:37
Speaker 5: He beats everyone he's supposed to beat the only ones
• 58:40
Speaker 5: he runs into that's an l is Ohio State or
• 58:42
Speaker 5: you got an Oregon last year. So he's like ninety
• 58:46
Speaker 5: fifth percentile in a world where we're trying to get
• 58:48
Speaker 5: into the ninety ninth percentile. And the other thing you
• 58:51
Speaker 5: just said is if you could handpick like the year
• 58:54
Speaker 5: for Penn State to have their best squad, this is it. Yeah,
• 58:56
Speaker 5: I mean Ohio State. I don't know how much they
• 58:59
Speaker 5: come back to earth, but that team lost two games
• 59:01
Speaker 5: last year with that full squad, So now you got
• 59:03
Speaker 5: a lot of newness. That's the year you want to
• 59:06
Speaker 5: have your squad. You got to go in their building.
• 59:08
Speaker 5: But they don't know what they are yet. Now what
• 59:10
Speaker 5: we do know blindly is they're gonna have a ton
• 59:11
Speaker 5: of talent, but you don't know how it comes together yet.
• 59:14
Speaker 2: So this is that's the pressure new DC.
• 59:16
Speaker 5: There's so much pressure on them this year because it's
• 59:19
  Speaker 5: totally fair.
• 59:19
  Speaker 2: Like everything you've.
• 59:20
Speaker 5: Asked for, you've been given. You've got resources, you've got
• 59:23
Speaker 5: great facilities, like, you've got a good roster. Now it's
• 59:26
Speaker 5: time for you to deliver. That's the most fair thing
• 59:28
Speaker 5: in competition. The unfair thing would be if he was
• 59:31
Speaker 5: at Minnesota, Like if it was PJ. Fleck and they
• 59:33
Speaker 5: were all of a sudden saying, Hey, Ohio State's down,
• 59:35
Speaker 5: so you need to win the Big Ten this year.
• 59:37
  Speaker 2: PJ.
• 59:38
Speaker 5: Fleck could rightfully say, but I haven't been given the
• 59:40
Speaker 5: resources to win the Big Ten.
• 59:42
Speaker 2: James Franklin has all that. Do you think Minister's a
• 59:44
Speaker 2: little sneaky this year? Yes? I do. Yes, I've been
• 59:48
Speaker 2: on the show. I thought about the go first.
• 59:50
Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought they were last year.
• 59:52
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 59:52
  Speaker 3: I just I love everything you're saying about Franklin. I
• 59:57
Speaker 3: love it. I can understand why we believe it. I'm
• 59:59
Speaker 3: just like you. The reference of Georgia. I'm in the room.
• 1:00:02
Speaker 3: I'm standing off to the side right now because he
• 1:00:04
Speaker 3: has like coach nine to nine point nine percentile roster,
• 1:00:09
Speaker 3: Like where is that four percent? Like is he going
• 1:00:12
Speaker 3: to be able to himself? His coaches make that four
• 1:00:14
Speaker 3: percent happen. And that's a beautiful thing about sports.
• 1:00:18
Speaker 5: You got to wait a little while because they played
• 1:00:19
Speaker 5: nobody first three weeks, four weeks, but then Oregon comes in.
• 1:00:22
Speaker 2: That's the big test.
• 1:00:23
Speaker 5: That's it. It's basically like their season opener for the country.
• 1:00:26
Speaker 5: Those outside of Penn State fans. No one will see
• 1:00:28
Speaker 5: Penn State until that whiteout game when.
• 1:00:30
Speaker 2: Organ comes in and there they got Nebraska later in
• 1:00:32
  Speaker 2: the year.
• 1:00:33
Speaker 5: They sure do a team that none of the three
• 1:00:35
  Speaker 5: of us mentioned.
• 1:00:35
Speaker 1: That's the Dark Race. You know, it's our first show.
• 1:00:38
Speaker 1: We got Josh payd On. I'm trying to not grab
• 1:00:42
Speaker 1: at that, like the things that you know in love,
• 1:00:45
Speaker 1: like obsessed with Dan Lanning.
• 1:00:46
  Speaker 2: I think he's just that.
• 1:00:47
Speaker 1: I'm sure he's going to be tuned into this show
• 1:00:50
Speaker 1: wondering why I'm picking Penn State again. Try doing my
• 1:00:53
Speaker 1: best to keep my homerism of Nebraska down. They're obviously
• 1:00:56
Speaker 1: my dark course, and I do have them winning the
• 1:00:57
Speaker 1: Big Ten in my own personal fan sportsbook.
• 1:01:00
  Speaker 2: Arilen Join.
• 1:01:01
Speaker 3: This episode is brought to you by Michelobultra Superior light Beer.
• 1:01:04
Speaker 3: Very fun, the delicious taste of victory deserves something equally superior.
• 1:01:08
Speaker 3: Cheer on your team with the Michelobultra at two point
• 1:01:11
Speaker 3: six carves and ninety five calories at the Superior smooth
• 1:01:13
Speaker 3: taste worth playing for Michelobultra Superior Light Beer.
• 1:01:17
Speaker 2: Let's get back to this episode. But who's your national champion?
• 1:01:21
Speaker 5: My national champions Alabama because if they get there, I
• 1:01:24
Speaker 5: think they're gonna win it. If they get there, that
• 1:01:27
Speaker 5: means the offense was balanced enough. If they get there,
• 1:01:29
Speaker 5: that Ty Simpson was a plenty good enough quarterback.
• 1:01:32
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 1:01:32
Speaker 5: And then I mean when I went and watched them
• 1:01:35
Speaker 5: scrimmage the other day, they think that stood out to
• 1:01:36
Speaker 5: the media the most is their scrimmage. It was so physical,
• 1:01:39
Speaker 5: But their d b room is so deep. They got
• 1:01:43
Speaker 5: They got a six four true freshman. Just to give
• 1:01:44
Speaker 5: you an idea, his name is Dejon Lee's five star kid.
• 1:01:46
Speaker 5: One of the top rated corners in the country, comes
• 1:01:48
Speaker 5: from southern California. What has been a chronic issue for
• 1:01:52
Speaker 5: USC five star talent leaving the state of California to
• 1:01:55
Speaker 5: go to the South, and that happened again. That dude
• 1:01:59
Speaker 5: just ran with the ones the other day. Now, Demani
• 1:02:01
Speaker 5: Jackson not their southern cow kid playing in Alabama, probably
• 1:02:05
Speaker 5: their starter at one corner. But they they just throw
• 1:02:07
Speaker 5: Dejon Lee into the fire because they know they're gonna
• 1:02:09
Speaker 5: need him this year.
• 1:02:10
  Speaker 2: Uh, stud unbelievable.
• 1:02:13
Speaker 5: And he's not six y four. He's not covering porous
• 1:02:15
Speaker 5: receivers either. Yes, So this kid's six'. Four he looks
• 1:02:18
Speaker 5: like a complete. Alias it looks like he's in the
• 1:02:20
Speaker 5: wrong position. Room he's just that, tall but doesn't move
• 1:02:23
Speaker 5: like a giraffe. Like he moves very. Fluidly Ivan taylor
• 1:02:26
Speaker 5: is a true freshman at. Safety kid will not start
• 1:02:29
Speaker 5: this year because they Got sad back. There they got
• 1:02:31
Speaker 5: the other kid back, there bat and balls, away getting
• 1:02:35
Speaker 5: in the wide receiver coach's face yelling at, him come
• 1:02:38
Speaker 5: at me, again come at me. Again THEIR dB room's.
• 1:02:40
Speaker 5: UNBELIEVABLE i love the depth they. Have the linebackers should
• 1:02:44
Speaker 5: have been a weakness for, them but Because lawson got
• 1:02:46
Speaker 5: hurt last year and he comes back and some of
• 1:02:48
Speaker 5: these other guys have just panned out for, him it's
• 1:02:51
Speaker 5: low key like a strength of their. Team so my
• 1:02:53
Speaker 5: point in saying all that, IS i believe in the
• 1:02:55
Speaker 5: teams that can beat you many different. Ways AND i
• 1:02:57
Speaker 5: could See alabama winning a game nineteen. THIRTEEN i could
• 1:03:00
Speaker 5: see him winning a game thirty eight to thirty, one
• 1:03:02
  Speaker 5: and that's kind of VERSATILITY i. NEED i Think i'm
• 1:03:04
Speaker 5: gonna get that From texas, Too BUT i believe In
• 1:03:06
Speaker 5: alabama more if they get to the finish, line if
• 1:03:08
Speaker 5: if they win THE. SEC i got him winning the
• 1:03:10
Speaker 5: whole thing BECAUSE i Trust kaylen de boor BECAUSE i
• 1:03:12
Speaker 5: think he may end up having the best staff in THE.
• 1:03:15
Speaker 5: SEC i Think georgia's staff is the, best but if
• 1:03:18
Speaker 5: this were to, happen it may be because his staffs
• 1:03:20
Speaker 5: right there With georgia's.
• 1:03:21
Speaker 1: Right georgia's most. Proven but, yeah this all works out this.
• 1:03:24
Speaker 1: Year you see to hear about THE dB, Room, yeah
• 1:03:27
Speaker 1: hear about you watching. Practice I'M i Had Penn, state
• 1:03:32
Speaker 1: BUT i Think i'm gonna flip at The texas BECAUSE
• 1:03:34
Speaker 1: i think even If Penn state takes care of, Everything
• 1:03:35
Speaker 1: i'm sorry for doing walking away from The Big, ten
• 1:03:39
Speaker 1: not walking, Away but if all of these things go,
• 1:03:44
Speaker 1: HOW i think they should go with The Big, ten
• 1:03:46
Speaker 1: Or Penn state went in and taking care of The
• 1:03:48
Speaker 1: Big ten and then getting all the way to the
• 1:03:49
Speaker 1: national title game against a team Like texas or against
• 1:03:51
Speaker 1: a team Like alabama or another dark horse out. THERE
• 1:03:55
Speaker 1: i think it's a moment to Where Penn state just happened.
• 1:04:01
Speaker 2: And they just. Don't so you Think Penn state wins
• 1:04:03
Speaker 2: The Big. Ten but.
• 1:04:06
  Speaker 1: And it's it's, Uh i'm telling you that he's, LIKE
• 1:04:12
  Speaker 1: i believe in.
• 1:04:13
Speaker 3: Him they've got the, roster THE zi gets the monkey
• 1:04:15
Speaker 3: office back and tell this Is.
• 1:04:17
Speaker 1: I'm saying this the put up or shut up him
• 1:04:19
Speaker 1: getting to the national title would be massive From Penn.
• 1:04:21
Speaker 1: State but if they're going against one of these teams
• 1:04:23
Speaker 1: that were sitting here, listening or he's visiting practice and
• 1:04:26
Speaker 1: it's A bama or it's His texas, team and If
• 1:04:28
Speaker 1: texas Or alabama is hot and they have this momentum
• 1:04:31
Speaker 1: going to the national title, GAME i think that would
• 1:04:33
  Speaker 1: Beat Penn.
• 1:04:35
Speaker 5: State what you gotta figure is you gotta, figure all,
• 1:04:37
Speaker 5: right let's just Say Penn state's. There let's say we
• 1:04:39
Speaker 5: play him in the national title. Game that's. Fun, Okay
• 1:04:41
Speaker 5: you got to figure whether It's, texas whether It's, bama
• 1:04:45
Speaker 5: whether It's. Oregon whoever gets, there they got there because
• 1:04:48
Speaker 5: they're doing What Ohio state did last. Year they got.
• 1:04:50
Speaker 5: Hot whoever gets there cutting through the weeds got there
• 1:04:52
Speaker 5: because they got. Hot your concern is whoever gets there is,
• 1:04:56
Speaker 5: hot and maybe with a better talent roster Than Penn.
• 1:04:58
Speaker 5: State that's your. Concern yea in this Fair.
• 1:05:01
Speaker 3: Yeah i'm staying in The Big, Ten stay with my.
• 1:05:04
Speaker 3: Roots Kirby smart took him six years to win a national.
• 1:05:07
Speaker 3: Championship Ryan day six, Years davos twenty nine, Years Nick saban,
• 1:05:11
Speaker 3: Ten Jim harball is. Sixteen so a lot of times
• 1:05:14
Speaker 3: it takes guys a long time to get to that national.
• 1:05:16
Speaker 3: Championship it also took a long time for somebody to
• 1:05:18
Speaker 3: realize that a four minute mile was, possible and then
• 1:05:21
Speaker 3: once it, happened it just started fucking. ROLLING i Think
• 1:05:24
Speaker 3: Dan lanning's that. MAN i Think oregon takes. IT i
• 1:05:27
Speaker 3: Think oregon learned a massive lesson last. YEAR i think
• 1:05:30
Speaker 3: they end up winning the national championship if Oo Ohio
• 1:05:34
Speaker 3: state Beats. Michigan Ohio state does not wake up as
• 1:05:37
Speaker 3: a program un until they lose a, game being twenty point,
• 1:05:40
Speaker 3: favorites all of a sudden haircutt on, fire the town
• 1:05:43
Speaker 3: of their, roster all of a sudden, jails and they
• 1:05:46
Speaker 3: just there was no stopping. It every couple of years
• 1:05:49
Speaker 3: there's like This alabama team could have beat the thirty
• 1:05:51
Speaker 3: second best team in THE. Nfl Ohio state's one of those.
• 1:05:55
Speaker 3: Teams look that last year when they're playing the, playoffs be, like,
• 1:05:57
Speaker 3: fuck they might have been beat The. Giants they might
• 1:05:59
Speaker 3: have did it because they were all across what their
• 1:06:03
Speaker 3: defense was, Incredible their. Offense they were thrown all over the.
• 1:06:06
Speaker 3: YARD i Think oregon got. HUMBLED i think their culture, resets.
• 1:06:10
Speaker 3: RELOADS i think they win The Big ten and they
• 1:06:12
Speaker 3: put their foot on the fucking gas when the time
• 1:06:15
Speaker 3: is right in the middle Of december Into, january and
• 1:06:17
Speaker 3: they finally get over the. Hump Dan, lennings that's the
• 1:06:19
Speaker 3: expectation of when coaches and win national.
• 1:06:21
Speaker 5: Championship if you're, Right if you're, right that means they
• 1:06:25
Speaker 5: may look vulnerable during the, season and not to bail on,
• 1:06:28
Speaker 5: them because that Was Ohio state last. Year, yeah like
• 1:06:30
Speaker 5: anyone who's going to peak In December, january you don't
• 1:06:32
Speaker 5: just get to rev the engine for four. Months you
• 1:06:33
Speaker 5: got to rev the engine when it's time to rev the,
• 1:06:35
Speaker 5: engine which means you may suffer a. Loss Ohio state
• 1:06:37
Speaker 5: suffered two of. Them so if Bean Penn state may
• 1:06:40
Speaker 5: go Into, oregon may go Into Penn state lose twenty
• 1:06:43
Speaker 5: one to, nine would not be surprised like ugly game
• 1:06:46
Speaker 5: and it's like start over. Scratch, no it's they're still in.
• 1:06:49
Speaker 2: It. True, hey who's your True Classic heisman?
• 1:06:51
Speaker 3: Winner my True Classic heisman winner is going to Be Jeremiah.
• 1:06:54
Speaker 3: Love he's got the logo of The Notre dame on
• 1:06:56
Speaker 3: them for the first time. Ever they have a hard.
• 1:06:58
Speaker 3: Schedule they played In miami And, arkansas Usc all Before.
• 1:07:01
Speaker 3: Halloween if he's able to once again score twelve touchdowns
• 1:07:06
Speaker 3: in twelve, games he's already Got he's already got the.
• 1:07:09
Speaker 3: NAME i think if he gets the point where he's
• 1:07:10
Speaker 3: putting up the numbers where he could be looked at
• 1:07:12
Speaker 3: as A, heisman you have the people coming out of
• 1:07:14
Speaker 3: the of the bushes being like when we're last, year
• 1:07:16
Speaker 3: Maybe ashton gent should have won The Heisman trophy instead
• 1:07:19
Speaker 3: Of Travis, hunter and you have like the pro running back.
• 1:07:21
Speaker 3: Guys maybe he gets a little boost in a lyft
• 1:07:23
Speaker 3: in the twenty twenty four. Season this to me is
• 1:07:25
Speaker 3: a fun. ONE i think a lot of guys go
• 1:07:27
Speaker 3: The Clemson. Cat you can go, back you can Go Arch.
• 1:07:30
Speaker 3: Manning but for, Me Jeremiah love is like a, fun
• 1:07:34
Speaker 3: like awesome running back to watch day in and day.
• 1:07:37
Speaker 3: Out he wears the logo Of Notre dame and it's,
• 1:07:39
Speaker 3: LIKE i get excited about the idea of him hoisting
• 1:07:42
Speaker 3: that trophy at the end of the.
• 1:07:43
Speaker 2: YEAR i think it sounds.
• 1:07:44
Speaker 1: NICE i think it would be really tough for a
• 1:07:47
Speaker 1: running back to be the.
• 1:07:48
Speaker 2: Tab aslo go. Ahead don't disagree at. ALL i think
• 1:07:51
  Speaker 2: it's a fun.
• 1:07:52
  Speaker 1: Heisman, YEAH i think it's a fun. HEISMAN i Think
• 1:07:55
Speaker 1: Cade Club nick sounds. Fun BUT i Think clemson is
• 1:07:57
Speaker 1: gonna Be clemson when the stakes get big and the.
• 1:07:59
Speaker 1: STAKES i do think that they have a good, team
• 1:08:01
Speaker 1: BUT i think we're gonna be in one of those
• 1:08:02
Speaker 1: situations late in the year where social media and everybody's
• 1:08:05
Speaker 1: arguing back and forth on people arguing for, kid people
• 1:08:08
Speaker 1: arguing For Archie. MANNING i Like Lenora. SELLERS i think
• 1:08:11
  Speaker 1: it's Arch manning OR i think It's Lenora's. Sellers we
• 1:08:14
Speaker 1: GOT jp standing on the table right. NOW i THINK
• 1:08:17
Speaker 1: i Like Leonora. Sayers Leonora. SELLERS i think it's either
• 1:08:20
Speaker 1: him or Arch manning because they're gonna have enough primetime.
• 1:08:22
Speaker 1: MOMENTS i think the storyline people are catching on to
• 1:08:25
  Speaker 1: Who lenora's seller is a. LOT i think he's, fun,
• 1:08:28
Speaker 1: exciting he can, run he can do all of the
• 1:08:30
Speaker 1: things as a young, cat and potentially one of the
• 1:08:33
Speaker 1: best players in college.
• 1:08:34
Speaker 2: Football my pick Is Leonora.
• 1:08:36
Speaker 5: Sellers rumor on the street is wide receiver ROOM a
• 1:08:38
Speaker 5: little deeper At South carolina than people like me thought it.
• 1:08:41
Speaker 5: Was so that works in your. Favor So i'm going
• 1:08:43
Speaker 5: ultimate boom er Bust john Matteridt oklahoma is my heisman.
• 1:08:46
Speaker 5: PICK a lot of people worried about the release. Point
• 1:08:49
Speaker 5: i'm not a lot of people worried about the equality
• 1:08:52
Speaker 5: of competition increasing for, Him i'm. NOT i think he
• 1:08:55
Speaker 5: has the kind of talent that cuts. Through they attack
• 1:08:57
Speaker 5: the port lid receiver Kindent Penn state, did and so
• 1:09:00
Speaker 5: they got. Guys he can throw it. Too the only
• 1:09:01
Speaker 5: thing that concerns me with them is they may start
• 1:09:03
Speaker 5: a freshman, tackle so that's not. Fun but we'll learn
• 1:09:07
Speaker 5: about them Against michigan in week. TWO i Think matier
• 1:09:10
Speaker 5: is going to be a STUD i think he's gonna
• 1:09:11
Speaker 5: be the story of THE sec this. Year if he's
• 1:09:12
Speaker 5: not your guy actually.
• 1:09:14
Speaker 1: Is but if if let me ask you this, though
• 1:09:17
Speaker 1: For John matier to win The, heisman he's obviously he's playing.
• 1:09:20
Speaker 1: Electric that Means oklahoma nine and three is a. Contender
• 1:09:24
Speaker 1: yeah in THE, sec that's. Correct, yeah because if they're
• 1:09:27
Speaker 1: losing some of these big, games that's going to kind
• 1:09:29
Speaker 1: of be the shot against. Them BECAUSE i guess it's
• 1:09:31
Speaker 1: Like Lenora. SELLERS i feel like he'll be in a similar,
• 1:09:33
Speaker 1: situation BUT i feel Like Lenora sellers is more known
• 1:09:37
Speaker 1: and he feels more exciting to.
• 1:09:39
Speaker 2: Everybody here's what Helps John, miteer because you'll be putting
• 1:09:41
  Speaker 2: everybody On.
• 1:09:42
Speaker 5: John here's what helps. Me people are already talking about
• 1:09:45
Speaker 5: how tough their schedule, is so that will be like
• 1:09:47
Speaker 5: in the main frame conversation the whole. Year he doesn't
• 1:09:51
Speaker 5: need to win eleven or. Ten if they can go
• 1:09:52
Speaker 5: nine to, three maybe tie breaker leaves them out of
• 1:09:54
Speaker 5: the playoff picture or selection committee leaves him. Out but
• 1:09:57
Speaker 5: like he was on the, fringe he had him in
• 1:09:59
Speaker 5: the conversation because people take into account their strength of
• 1:10:02
Speaker 5: schedule THAT i think will be enough to get him
• 1:10:04
  Speaker 5: over the.
• 1:10:05
Speaker 2: Hump it could be the same With.
• 1:10:06
Speaker 5: Lagway florida could just miss out ON sec championship or.
• 1:10:09
Speaker 5: Playoffs Florida lagway balled. Out, yeah but they both. Do
• 1:10:12
Speaker 5: but that works to my favor because if they're just good,
• 1:10:14
Speaker 5: enough if they're in the, hunt they could be, eight,
• 1:10:16
Speaker 5: four nine and. Three tebow won The heisman with four.
• 1:10:18
Speaker 5: LOSSES i believe one Year tibo had the entire world
• 1:10:21
Speaker 5: bind he, did So i'm gonna that's a different brand
• 1:10:24
Speaker 5: OF i got some work to do With.
• 1:10:26
Speaker 2: John he got a lot of.
• 1:10:28
  Speaker 5: Work Tim.
• 1:10:28
Speaker 1: TEBOW i remember being in high school and him coming
• 1:10:30
Speaker 1: out his little documentary being in high school and getting
• 1:10:33
Speaker 1: off his recruiting letters like he had the, name he
• 1:10:35
Speaker 1: had all of it going.
• 1:10:36
Speaker 5: In he was doing that next.
• 1:10:37
Speaker 2: Week, yeah back in oh. Five.
• 1:10:39
Speaker 3: Yeah anybody who was in high school the same Time
• 1:10:41
Speaker 3: will AND i. Were Tim tebow Was, yeah he Was
• 1:10:45
