- 0:02Hey, welcome to the City Point Church podcast.
- 0:04Thanks for joining us. Every day is an opportunity to
- 0:07take hold of. So we hope this message inspires
- 0:10you and build your faith that it helps you have more of a God
- 0:13perspective for your day. Enjoy.
- 0:17Is there faith in your bones this morning?
- 0:20Could you declare out loud today?
- 0:22My heart is open, my ears are alert to grow and change and
- 0:31never be the same. Amen.
- 0:36Amen. Once you be seated and today's
- 0:41message, you know it's Father's Day and I love the honor to be
- 0:45able to speak into the the lives of the fathers of the house.
- 0:49And I'm pretty experienced in this realm.
- 0:52So it is worth listening and, and, and, but today's message
- 0:59isn't just for fathers. Like everyone's going to get
- 1:02something from it. I've got, I've got 3 points and,
- 1:05and three tips today for everyone and for you to take
- 1:10home and have conversations in the cafe after the service.
- 1:15But mums of the house, women, man of the house, youth, young
- 1:19adults in the house, kids in the house, you've got something to
- 1:24listen and lean into today. And before we get around our key
- 1:30scripture with which is in the book of Deuteronomy and the last
- 1:35book of the Torah and the 5th book of the Bible, Deuteronomy
- 1:416, if you want to open your Bible to chapter 6 of that, I
- 1:45just want to give you some context.
- 1:47Now in your Holy Scriptures, the book of Deuteronomy was written
- 1:51when Israel was on the opposite side of the Jordan to the
- 1:55promised Land. So Israel's on this side of the
- 1:59Jordan. They've won a few battles and
- 2:02they're about to crossover into the promised land that they've
- 2:07been walking towards for 40 years.
- 2:11And I don't know if you've ever had promises in your life from
- 2:14God or you've read the scriptures and it's like the
- 2:18scriptures have spoken to you about your, your future, you,
- 2:21your, your destiny, your life, your purpose.
- 2:24And it feels like you've been going around the desert for 40
- 2:28years. Let me tell you, the purpose of
- 2:31that is, is your learning, It's your, it's your sacrificing,
- 2:36it's your surrender. And because God had, when God
- 2:40has something greater for your life than where you are now, the
- 2:45same, you can't go into the greater realm.
- 2:49And so God needs to prepare us and mold us and shape us.
- 2:53And this is done through surrender.
- 2:56And so the more Israel was able to surrender of themselves,
- 3:00their desires, their their wishes and wants and of the
- 3:04things of the past, OK, the the more they were able to do that,
- 3:09the closer they got to their promised land.
- 3:12Now here we are on the opposite side, just opposite Jericho.
- 3:16Do we all remember the story about Jericho?
- 3:19They marched around the walls and the walls foot fell down.
- 3:23Well, that was the first city that Israel talked when they
- 3:27entered the promised land. So here we are before they do
- 3:31this. And Moses delivered his feet,
- 3:34farewell speeches. He delivered and reiterated
- 3:39God's law to the new generation of Israel.
- 3:44And this is where we pick up today's text in general
- 3:47generosity. There's a good message, Matt.
- 3:49Wasn't that incredible, man, I was inspired.
- 3:52I nearly went home. Hey, I thought today's over.
- 3:55This is awesome. Matt nailed it.
- 3:58Fantastic. Matt, you got a real gift on
- 4:00your life. You know that.
- 4:01And you're called and anointed. You're a storyteller, and I know
- 4:06someone out who was a storyteller and he went a long
- 4:08way and Jesus heads up and you're following in these
- 4:15footsteps. Well done, good man, good young
- 4:18man. And I'm Deuteronomy 6 versus one
- 4:21to seven. It says this now this is the
- 4:25commandment, and these are the statues and judgments which the
- 4:30Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe
- 4:34them in the land which you are crossing over to possess.
- 4:38That you may fear the Lord your God to keep all His statues and
- 4:43his commandments which I commanded you, you and your
- 4:47grandson, and your son and your grandson, all the days of your
- 4:53life, and that their days may be prolonged.
- 4:57Therefore hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe it, that it
- 5:03may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly, as the
- 5:08Lord God of your Father's has promised you a land flowing with
- 5:13milk and honey. Hear, O Israel, the Lord our
- 5:16God, the Lord is 1. You shall love the Lord your God
- 5:21with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your
- 5:24strength. Let me say that again.
- 5:25You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all
- 5:31your soul, and with all your strength.
- 5:34Now listen to the verse 6. And these words which I
- 5:37commanded you today shall be in your heart.
- 5:42You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk
- 5:46of them when you sit in your house.
- 5:50You shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk
- 5:55by the way, and when you lie down.
- 5:58And when you rise up, listen, you shall talk of these things
- 6:05when you do the action of sitting down in your house, when
- 6:09you walk by your way in your daily life, when you lay down at
- 6:13night, and when you raise up in the morning.
- 6:19There's keys for us here today. As Moses is preparing Israel to
- 6:24enter the Promised Land, his greatest concerned is not the
- 6:29lands. His greatest concern for you is
- 6:35not even the promise that He has for you.
- 6:40His greatest concern for your life is not how well you perform
- 6:46and fulfill the promise that He has for your life.
- 6:51His greatest concern is not the land, but the next generation's
- 6:56faithfulness. His greatest concern was the
- 6:59children, fathers, mothers in the house.
- 7:03Today, God's greatest concern is what you leave to the next
- 7:10generation, to your children and the generation in the world
- 7:15around us. He reminds fathers and families
- 7:19that God's Word must not be heard only but be lived and be
- 7:25passed down. This is the heartbeat of
- 7:29Christian parenting and fatherhood.
- 7:33Is that your your faith not be just heard but be implemented
- 7:40into your children's life. I think this, sometimes we are
- 7:45just too concerned with the greater mission and not
- 7:51concerned enough with the immediate mission.
- 7:56It's one thing for me to stand up here and charge the whole
- 8:01church to the mission of the community.
- 8:03If I'm neglecting my own children #1 mission is my
- 8:08children. I love you, Church, but my
- 8:10children are #1 they're me. And God has placed into my
- 8:16direct care my children. Here's the thing about my
- 8:20children. They were there since the day
- 8:22they were born in my life. And they will be there in my
- 8:26life, in my memory, in my heart, in my action, in my motive, till
- 8:30the day I go to heaven. And then when I'm in heaven,
- 8:33I'll be judged upon the legacy that I left into the life and
- 8:38heart of my children. So in your life, whether you're
- 8:43a spiritual parent here today, just just a member of the
- 8:47church, someone new today, a father or a mother or even a
- 8:51child, we need to understand that our legacy has an immense
- 8:56importance from God and the commissioning from God.
- 9:00So .1 this morning is God's word must first live in the hearts.
- 9:10God's word must first live in our hearts.
- 9:14Verse six said these words shall be in your heart.
- 9:19Listen, faith is caught before it's taught.
- 9:23I've had to learn this. I've I've experimented with this
- 9:28and I I thought that I could teach just by telling people.
- 9:32And I've learned that my life matters more than what I say.
- 9:36Listen, my behaviours matter more than what I say and what I
- 9:41say reinforces the truth of my behaviour.
- 9:48Now what you say can RIP a person down, but what you do
- 9:51will lift the person back up. I've learned this.
- 9:54I can RIP a person down with my words, but I don't.
- 9:58I can't build them up just the same with my words.
- 10:03I build people up by getting under them and lifting them
- 10:07physically by them seeing my number one concern by the fruits
- 10:12of my life, the actions of my life and my behaviour.
- 10:17My kids learn more from me by what they see of their dad than
- 10:23what dad tells them to do. You know the old saying, we have
- 10:26this joke in our house. I think we're joking.
- 10:29We're joking. I'm we're pretty sure.
- 10:31I'm pretty sure it's a joke. It's a joke to me.
- 10:33It's no, it's a it's a joke. It's a joke in our house, right.
- 10:39But we, we often, we often say, do what we say, not what we do,
- 10:44but it's completely it's a joke. It's a judge me drink of water.
- 10:52You guys are harsh. The reality is as we say that
- 10:59because we know the truth is, is do what we do and let what we
- 11:03say reinforce that and bring strength to that.
- 11:06Does this make sense? And so, so faith is taught,
- 11:13caught before it's taught. Children follow what they see
- 11:16lived out, not only what they hear.
- 11:20They follow what they see the behaviour of our life, not just
- 11:23what we say. Why would you follow someone
- 11:26that says something that doesn't do it, that that discounts what
- 11:30they say because they're saying something, but there's no real
- 11:33value in that because they wouldn't do it in the first
- 11:35place. Does that make sense?
- 11:37And so people see the value in what you do.
- 11:40And then when you say it, it has strength to it and truth wrapped
- 11:45up in it. Psalms 119 Eleven says your
- 11:48word. I have hidden in my heart.
- 11:52And so sometimes we see that and we go, yeah, it's the word of
- 11:56God. No, no, no.
- 11:57It's what you do with the words, it's what you do with what mum
- 12:03and dad are saying or parents. It's what you you train your
- 12:06children to do with their action of what they do with what you
- 12:11say. It's hidden in my heart.
- 12:13Proverbs 423 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of
- 12:18out of it springs the issue of life.
- 12:22It's just interesting that what is in our heart, what we
- 12:26actually apply into our lives, out of that will spring out the
- 12:31issues of life. So we are to hide His word in
- 12:36our heart and keep putting it in us.
- 12:38So Father's Day tip #1 for the fathers, before you can pass on
- 12:45faith, you must know God personally.
- 12:50Your daily walk with Jesus will leave your a greater impact than
- 12:55your words will leave. Father's Day.
- 12:59Tim point #2 Fathers are called to impress God's word on their
- 13:05children. This is our #1 mission and call
- 13:10from God. In verse seven, the first part
- 13:12of verse 7, it said you shall teach them diligently to your
- 13:19children. The word teach means to sharpen,
- 13:23engrave and shape. In other words, we shape our
- 13:28children with the word of God. Does this make sense?
- 13:32There's more than preaching at there's a shaping behavioural
- 13:36thing that we do with our children.
- 13:39Passing faith is not automatic. It takes takes intention,
- 13:46consistency, and repetition. It takes intention, consistency,
- 13:53and repetition. It takes intention on being
- 13:57intentional right now, consistency on being consistent
- 14:01right now, and repetition. I'm repeating myself is because
- 14:05I I want it's not automatic that you're going to hear what I'm
- 14:10saying, but through intention, consistency and repetition, you
- 14:15will remember those three points.
- 14:17Does that make sense? So This is why we want to have
- 14:20intention and consistency and repetition in what we do in our
- 14:25life. Proverbs 22 six says train up a
- 14:28child in the way he should go. Keywords Frame.
- 14:33Is there any? Is there any athletes in the
- 14:35house? My hands down.
- 14:40There's no athletes in this house.
- 14:42Man, we got to work. We got one down the front.
- 14:44Can we put our hands together for Robin this morning?
- 14:47Leading the way. Yeah, I've learned this.
- 14:52I tried to run 5 KS with my amazing wife.
- 14:56He just runs it and she's running, she's talking, she's
- 14:59probably planning on her phone and and I unfortunately for for
- 15:06me, I, I just one K and I'm pretty wrecked.
- 15:09I can walk 5 KS. I've learned and and it takes it
- 15:15takes a lot of training, right? And so we are prepared to train
- 15:20when it comes to doing the park run every Saturday, you know,
- 15:23we're prepared to train how to understand the world of
- 15:27computers, mostly because we want to shop and get cheap
- 15:32prices online. And, and so we train for things
- 15:37in our life. When you get a job, you've got
- 15:39to train for that. But the reality is, is if you
- 15:42want your children to walk in the ways of God, we've got to
- 15:45train our children. We'll train ourselves, but we
- 15:49will train our children. And, and that might sound
- 15:52simple, but I, I can see that I live in a world where children
- 15:57train children and the parents are absent or working on
- 16:02training themselves. But let me tell you, because of
- 16:07your age, you have something to teach.
- 16:10Because of your life experiences, you have something
- 16:13to teach and so teaching or, or is it requires more than just a
- 16:18saying something? We've gotta train our children
- 16:23and fathers. I know you do an amazing job in
- 16:26this, but I reckon we can lift the ante in this church and we
- 16:29can just go. You know what, I'm not, I'm not
- 16:31going to pre chat my children so much.
- 16:34I'm not going to just tell them things so much.
- 16:36I'm going to be the example of this so that I can train them in
- 16:41the ways of the Lord and in faith.
- 16:44Amen Mothers, you can do the same.
- 16:45It will be good for all of us to do it.
- 16:47Unity in the house is a good thing.
- 16:49And so Ephesians 64 says, fathers, do not provoke your
- 16:54children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and
- 17:00Admiral, the big word there is, is it on the screens.
- 17:03There we go. You just read it.
- 17:04You read it yourself of the Lord.
- 17:07Proverbs 27 the righteous man walks in integrity.
- 17:11His children are blessed after them.
- 17:14It doesn't said say the righteous man talks with
- 17:17integrity. He said you can tell the
- 17:21righteous man because of the way he walks.
- 17:25He walks with integrity. And then what happens?
- 17:29Well, then the children are blessed.
- 17:32And if you're looking at your family dynamic or just being
- 17:35roaring and honesty, if you're looking at your family dynamic
- 17:39and wondering where the blessing, the real question is,
- 17:41is where is the example of integrity and fathers in the
- 17:47house today? I know that every single father
- 17:50in this house and mother in this house has it deep inside of you.
- 17:55You can rise up to this new way of walking with integrity so
- 18:00that your children will walk in your blessing.
- 18:04Amen. It's one thing to pray the
- 18:06blessing of God over your children, but God says, but I
- 18:11have blessed you through salvation in Jesus Christ that
- 18:15you now walk a different way. You walk by faith now and not by
- 18:20sight. You don't walk by what you see,
- 18:24but you're walking is exampling who he is and the
- 18:27transformational work. And when you know what I love
- 18:31the one of the greatest, I just cut myself off.
- 18:35It's weird when you do that right?
- 18:37But I, I just love seeing people when their lives are, are
- 18:42drastically transformed by the love of God.
- 18:46Like we just get this example so much in our in our church.
- 18:50Their lives get transformed and then they live so radically
- 18:55different, but they're so far from what we might call perfect
- 19:00or or they're so far from even the Christian living and life
- 19:04experiences that I have yet in an instant, because of their
- 19:09dramatic transformation, they example that they they shout it,
- 19:15but their life just they dress different.
- 19:18They change things at home. They throw things out and they
- 19:21tell us about it, but they don't just tell us we get to see it.
- 19:27Have you has anyone in this church seen people like this
- 19:29walking around the church right. And we it's just so beautiful
- 19:34for us to watch. You know, for me, being a
- 19:37lifelong Christian, I watch that and it stirs my faith to ways
- 19:43that Chris can't stir because Chris has been a Christian for a
- 19:46long time. And when I see these guys come
- 19:49in it, it's a new stirring of my faith of come on grain.
- 19:54Where is your example of trance with God has done so many things
- 19:58in your life for you to testify. But to show the world around
- 20:03this is this is where Miracle Services came out of.
- 20:07It's like my way to show the world.
- 20:09I'm like, well, you've given me a church.
- 20:11God, let's use this ship and, and, and, and just make a way
- 20:15for the world around to see the transformation that God has done
- 20:20in our lives because we want to share in their lives.
- 20:23Amen. Father's Day tip #2 Father's
- 20:29teach your children through regular conversations, prayer,
- 20:33reading of scripture together. Teaching is not only with words,
- 20:38but with constant example. Point #3 This morning faith is
- 20:44lived out in everyday life. Your faith is not a Sunday
- 20:49thing. Your faith is not a it's
- 20:52definitely not a secret thing. Your faith is not just a
- 20:56personal thing. Your faith is to ooze out of who
- 21:01you are, the love of Jesus Christ and everything He has
- 21:06done in your life. Verse 7, the second-half of that
- 21:10verse says talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk
- 21:16by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up.
- 21:20You know, I was praying about this message this morning and I
- 21:24believe God highlighted this to me.
- 21:27And he said that people focus on the talk of them, the talk of
- 21:34them, but the talk of them is not the full stop point.
- 21:39The talk of them is not how we do it.
- 21:43The the talk of them is literally words.
- 21:49It's the talk of them when you do the action.
- 21:53Sit in your house when Dad is home.
- 21:58I talk to my kids when you walk, by the way, when I walk to work
- 22:08through my workplace, wherever I go, I'm, I'm talking, I'm
- 22:12testifying, I'm declaring what God has been doing.
- 22:17You know, let me just throw out a challenge because I know that
- 22:20this can be really difficult for some.
- 22:22But I really believe that you have what it takes within you to
- 22:26just let this come out. And as you do the first and the
- 22:31second, the third time, you're actually going to find fun in
- 22:33this. But when you're at work, why
- 22:37don't you tell people about what happened at church on Sunday?
- 22:42When when people say how was your week, don't focus on
- 22:46Wednesday, focus on Sunday because Sunday set up your
- 22:51Monday to Saturday right it. This is what church is the the
- 22:56Saints come together, we rejoice, we testify together and
- 23:00there's the edification of the Saints.
- 23:02This is scripturally what what we get together for.
- 23:06And so on Sunday we are edified as the Saints of God in the
- 23:11mission and the purpose that God and the call and the the worship
- 23:16and our our connection with God. Let that be what how was your
- 23:20week this week? Oh man, it started on Sunday.
- 23:23Can I just tell you what happened at church?
- 23:26Here he goes again. And then you tell them.
- 23:30And let me tell you, by the end of it, they just be like, wow, I
- 23:33never get this in my life. Well, you can, you know, And
- 23:38then maybe on Wednesday you're not telling them about Monday.
- 23:41Maybe on Wednesday you'd be leaving, leading them to the
- 23:44Lord. Or maybe Wednesday's
- 23:47conversation would be an invite and Friday's conversation.
- 23:50But as you walk into the car to celebrate that great, great
- 23:54week, well, instead of spending all your money this week, why
- 23:57don't you come to church on Sunday?
- 24:00You know what I mean? It's so we can reshape our world
- 24:04so that there's not empty word, but there's words with action
- 24:08and behaviour into into wine together.
- 24:11Does this make sense? So people follow a transformed
- 24:15Christian. They don't follow Christians who
- 24:17just speak about transformation. I don't know about you, but I've
- 24:22seen a lot of people that speak about the goodness of God and
- 24:26the things of God. But then I'll watch their lives
- 24:28and they don't tithe. I watch their lives and they
- 24:33don't pray with their children. I've watched how they discipline
- 24:37and I've gone. Where's the grace and the love
- 24:38of God? And I've seen the example and
- 24:41the example hasn't lined up with the words.
- 24:44I don't like to follow words. I like to follow people.
- 24:48And this church is a church full of leaders, right?
- 24:52Could you just lift your hand up right now in the air?
- 24:54Just everyone lift your hand up. Lift your hand up.
- 24:58Yeah. Just everyone.
- 24:59Just just the whole lot. Let's just be crazy for a
- 25:01moment. Lift our hand to judge.
- 25:03That's awesome. OK, leaders, put your hands
- 25:06down. So passing on faith happens in
- 25:15the ordinary rhythms of life. God's word is not for one day,
- 25:22the Sunday, but for all of your life.
- 25:25Lift your hand if God loves you on Thursdays.
- 25:31Yeah, I thought so. I thought so.
- 25:34This is good. This is good.
- 25:35Joshua 2415. And As for me in my house, yeah,
- 25:41the youth, the youth know the Scriptures.
- 25:44Psalm 78, four. Does anyone, can anyone quote
- 25:47that one? So could you read out loud
- 25:56Second Timothy one verse 5? Oh, read it out, read it out.
- 26:19You should take as long as I take when I'm ready.
- 26:23Where did Timothy's faith come from?
- 26:28Through his mother and his grandmother's example, That's
- 26:32where Timothy's face. So Father's Day tip #3 father's
- 26:37at the table. Share what God is doing on the
- 26:41road. Talk about God's guidance.
- 26:44At night, pray over your children, and in the morning,
- 26:48begin with gratitude. Can I just give you, it's not my
- 26:53notes, but it's a really good example, a conversation.
- 26:57I can't even remember the conversation.
- 26:59Come on, God, come on, God, give me a conversation.
- 27:03I was driving in my my son's car just two weeks ago and I can't
- 27:10remember the conversation. It's coming though, right?
- 27:13Anyway, it's so we're driving in the car and Bobby and I were
- 27:17just talking. It was just him and me in the
- 27:19car and we just started talking about there we go.
- 27:22It's coming, it's coming. You know, there's a lesson in
- 27:25that. Hey, can I give you the lesson
- 27:27or day-to-day you don't you just keep talking the story.
- 27:30No lessons this morning. And so and so Bobby and I were
- 27:35just chatting and Bobby, I just said, how's youth going?
- 27:40And Bobby and any other music directors in the youth group?
- 27:42And, and I was just saying, how is youth going?
- 27:45How's your leadership going? And he said, you know, Dad, I'll
- 27:48just, I'll just watch you on Sundays.
- 27:53This is good dad moment right now.
- 27:55And he just said, I'll watch you on Sundays and I'll watch how
- 27:59you lead the dream team. And so I've just been doing that
- 28:04at youth and that's how I've been leading and it's been
- 28:07working. It's been good.
- 28:08And I said, yeah, yeah, yeah. Keep leaning into Dad, Bobby.
- 28:11He knows what he's doing. And learn, learn from my
- 28:16failures because I've done all the mistakes, right?
- 28:19I'm still doing some at the moment.
- 28:21But as I learn, you know, if your children can follow in your
- 28:25footsteps, they build upon our mistakes into a greater future.
- 28:30Amen. Let me tell you, there is no
- 28:33mistakes in the mistakes that you've made in your life.
- 28:38Now some people in this room, they're like, whoa, Pastor Gray,
- 28:40that's a massive statement. You, you don't really understand
- 28:43what I've done. Let me tell you, I understand
- 28:46the Redeemer and what he has done and what he does.
- 28:50Your mistakes with God or without God, you still did them
- 28:56all right? So they've happened.
- 28:57But he turns all things together for good.
- 29:01And when the Scripture says he turns all things together for
- 29:04good, he doesn't mean, but that he means absolutely anything
- 29:09that you would bring to him. He will turn it together for
- 29:13good. Every time you've slept with
- 29:15someone, he will turn that together for good.
- 29:18Every time you've pulled someone down, he will turn that together
- 29:22for good. He will take these things and he
- 29:25will turn them around to be examples that your children will
- 29:30learn from so that they do not have to fulfil what you you
- 29:34fulfilled in your life. Amen.
- 29:39You can tell them the right thing, but when they see God
- 29:43redeem you and I form the wrong thing and see our reactions to
- 29:48that, that them is the greatest examples of faith that they
- 29:53could ever have in this world. And you know what I think?
- 29:58I think this world talks just too much.
- 30:01I'm not talking about the church.
- 30:03This world talks so much and with their words of you should
- 30:10do this, 5 minutes later YouTube says you should do that, 6
- 30:13minutes later Facebook says you should do that.
- 30:16And there's so many examples and, and untangible words and
- 30:25examples and instructions out there that our generation or
- 30:30this generation thinks that the words and, and what people say
- 30:35holds truth. But when the church comes along
- 30:40and we example the transformational power of God in
- 30:44our lives, the world goes whoa. And it blows their minds because
- 30:51they don't see the positives of transformation.
- 30:54They only see the negatives of when people follow empty words.
- 30:59Does this make sense? And so as the church in as as
- 31:03you being part of the church fathers in your house today,
- 31:07when you example what God has done in your life, that isn't
- 31:12just a good thing. It's a mind blowing world
- 31:16changing thing to this generation.
- 31:20This generation has been built on words, but it's going to be
- 31:23transformed through the power of God that transforms people's
- 31:28lives. Amen.
- 31:29Do you accept that this morning as as like a bit of a
- 31:32commissioning over your life that I am more than what I say,
- 31:37but I am what I do and what God has done through my life?
- 31:42Let me just bring one more Scripture this morning from the
- 31:44apostle John. The apostle John wrote in three,
- 31:48John one to four in the amplified version.
- 31:52I have no greater joy than this to hear that my spiritual
- 31:59children are living after they're living their lives in
- 32:03the truth. It doesn't say I have no greater
- 32:08joy than this to hear what's on the mouth of my children.
- 32:15It says. But to see, to hear my that my
- 32:20spiritual children are living their faith.
- 32:25They're not speaking about faith.
- 32:27Yeah, God can do it, but they are living it.
- 32:30Look what God has done. Amen.
- 32:34And I think sometimes when we read the scriptures, we stop at
- 32:37the hearing, we stop at the the speaking and the stop at.
- 32:41But we, we need to see that that is always uplifting A behaviour.
- 32:46It's always uplifting what the transformational truth of the
- 32:51word of God is. So three things to remember
- 32:56today. Number one, let His word live in
- 32:59your heart #2 and press it on your children.
- 33:03Don't just say it and press it on the stampum, right?
- 33:06And #3 teach it daily in ordinary life.
- 33:11Listen, your faith today shapes your children's tomorrow.
- 33:17Your faith today shapes your children's tomorrow.
- 33:22Amen. You receive that today when we
- 33:24close our eyes here this morning.
- 33:28Let me pray Father, I just want to pray a blessing, Lord God,
- 33:32over all the parents and spiritual parents and foster
- 33:36parents and grandparents, father and over the dads.
- 33:41Father, I just want to thank you for this honour of being a
- 33:44father to children that you've given, You've given me and all
- 33:48of us men such a great responsibility.
- 33:52It's a great responsibility. It's big, it's great.
- 33:56And Father, I thank you for that.
- 33:58You would see us as worthy as being the man of houses, being
- 34:03husbands and being fathers. And so, Father God, I just pray
- 34:10a blessing right now over all the fathers of the house, that
- 34:15Father, that you would strengthen us as you
- 34:18strengthened your son, that you would gift us as you've gifted
- 34:24your son Jesus, That you would empower us continually as you've
- 34:29empowered your son Jesus. And that you would help us walk
- 34:34out the truth of who you are as we saw example in Jesus.
- 34:40And Father, I just pray this blessing over all the fathers of
- 34:44the house today and the strength that I know is in US.
- 34:49I call it out today. Lord Godfather, people from
- 34:54broken marriages. Father Godfather, I just thank
- 34:58you for your your faith right now to just infuse all these men
- 35:02and all the women as well. Lord God, the the brokenness is
- 35:07not a brokenness between you and us.
- 35:10But Father, in that you said that when we are weak, then you
- 35:15are strong, You're always strong.
- 35:17But we get to see it in that moment.
- 35:19So Father, all the single dads in the house, I thank you for
- 35:24them and I pray an immense blessing upon them.
- 35:27Lord God, amazing man and women, but amazing men today, Lord God
- 35:33that would rise up and say, you know what, I'm going to example
- 35:37what it is to live with Jesus Christ in spite situations and I
- 35:42thank you for a strength in them all gone.
- 35:45And Father, I just thank you for what you've done in all of our
- 35:48lives in Jesus name, you know.
