- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her radio. Hey everyone, welcome to the almost Famous podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 1: First episode of Bachelor in Paradise in the first time
- 0:12Speaker 1: in a couple of weeks at bed and night are reunited.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Hello Ben, how are you? Yes, I'm good. I'm a
- 0:19Speaker 1: little tired. How are you? I can't imagine how I'm
- 0:22Speaker 1: just like jet lagged, like just a little bit back
- 0:24Speaker 1: and forth. You know, it's five day trip. You don't
- 0:26Speaker 1: really get a like situated. But I got a good night,
- 0:30Speaker 1: a good night's sleep on the plane. It was just hilarious.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Tell us all about this wedding. It looked beautiful. We
- 0:37Speaker 1: saw I saw the pictures on social media. Uh it
- 0:40Speaker 1: was in Italy if I'm correct, right, Yeah, it was gorgeous.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It was my best friend's wedding. Um. It was very
- 0:46Speaker 1: emotional and the best way, just like super sweet and
- 0:50Speaker 1: touching and very very romantic. It was at an abbey
- 0:54Speaker 1: about an hour and a half north of Rome. But
- 0:58Speaker 1: it was like an old abbey. It's like not used
- 1:00Speaker 1: for church services anymore. It's really used as like a
- 1:02Speaker 1: wedding venue. But they have guest rooms there, so it's
- 1:05Speaker 1: not like a full blown hotel. But it's kind of
- 1:07Speaker 1: like if you were to turn an old nineteen fifty
- 1:10Speaker 1: abbey into an Airbnb. Basically, it was gorgeous, everything was
- 1:15Speaker 1: candle it It's just like that super soft romance. And
- 1:19Speaker 1: it was cool to see your best friend of about well,
- 1:23Speaker 1: I met her when I was in sixth grade, but
- 1:25Speaker 1: I guess we've been like best friends for fourteen years
- 1:29Speaker 1: and she it's just cool to see, Um, your friend who,
- 1:34Speaker 1: like you imagine your wedding with for years and years
- 1:37Speaker 1: and like danju about the guy you're going to end
- 1:39Speaker 1: up with, CE do that and truly end up meaning
- 1:43Speaker 1: like the perfect person for them. So this has built
- 1:46Speaker 1: in nineteen. No no, no no, no twelve. I thought you
- 1:51Speaker 1: said nineteen. I've never heard of an abbey being built
- 1:54Speaker 1: nineteen wedding venue. All right, we are. I know exactly
- 2:02Speaker 1: where this abby was at. You want to know why
- 2:05Speaker 1: because um, one of our producers on this show has
- 2:11Speaker 1: Jared on Fine Friends and we are looking for you
- 2:14Speaker 1: all and and we saw the exact location. Were like,
- 2:17Speaker 1: h that's an interesting location. It's like, yeah, an hour
- 2:20Speaker 1: and a half north and it looks like you're in
- 2:22Speaker 1: the middle of nowhere. That's hilarious. I don't know how
- 2:25Speaker 1: they all ended up having each other on Find My Friends,
- 2:27Speaker 1: but it is always funny to see the destination where
- 2:29Speaker 1: Dean's at when he's late for their podcast. It's often
- 2:32Speaker 1: on a golf course, but you never know. Sometimes it
- 2:34Speaker 1: could be Mount Everest. Yeah, this time he's on a
- 2:36Speaker 1: in a sand trap on Whole sixteen in Los Angeles.
- 2:39Speaker 1: That's where this week. That's incredible. It is special to
- 2:44Speaker 1: see your friends get married, especially to see your friends
- 2:46Speaker 1: get married. Just grow up, because it's so weird how
- 2:49Speaker 1: life works, isn't it. You You feel like a child
- 2:52Speaker 1: for so long you're under the supervision of somebody, your
- 2:56Speaker 1: your parents, or maybe it's at university, or maybe you
- 3:00Speaker 1: get you don't go to university out of high school,
- 3:04Speaker 1: and you're still just trying to make it work. And
- 3:05Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, life switches very fast. It
- 3:08Speaker 1: feels like it just like turns on a dime, and
- 3:10Speaker 1: you become a husband, you become a wife, you become
- 3:13Speaker 1: a partner, h then a parent. Uh. You know, life
- 3:17Speaker 1: moves quickly, and so those little moments that you can
- 3:19Speaker 1: just take a deep breath and see people who you've
- 3:22Speaker 1: lived with your whole life. Celebrate something special is incredible.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So the pictures they look great, obviously they never do
- 3:30Speaker 1: it justice. Um, but I'm happy. It was a great wedding,
- 3:35Speaker 1: Thank you. And it was nice to have a few
- 3:36Speaker 1: days for Jared and I just to eat in Rome.
- 3:40Speaker 1: We eat, we ate, we shopped, and it was just
- 3:43Speaker 1: a nice couple of times. Tell us your most romantic
- 3:45Speaker 1: moment with Jared and over these five days, feel free
- 3:50Speaker 1: to go into as much detail or as little detail
- 3:52Speaker 1: as you would like. Um well, we had the like um,
- 3:59Speaker 1: I just like you could like, say a nice dinner
- 4:05Speaker 1: you don't have to get. You could say, like a
- 4:07Speaker 1: nice bottle of wine looking at this Okay, Okay, I
- 4:09Speaker 1: was going to say, there was his dinner. We had
- 4:12Speaker 1: the most amazing LUs audio and it was just like
- 4:14Speaker 1: nice to take a little walk around. And actually, this
- 4:16Speaker 1: is so strange. Is this like so Ashley and Jared
- 4:19Speaker 1: of us. But we went to an American bar to
- 4:24Speaker 1: watch American football on Sunday, and he and I never
- 4:28Speaker 1: go and get beers at a bar and watch a
- 4:32Speaker 1: full game there, and we did, and we made friends
- 4:34Speaker 1: with other American tourists and it was really fun. I
- 4:38Speaker 1: sell his videos too. That looked really fun. I love
- 4:41Speaker 1: one of my favorite things. When I used to live
- 4:43Speaker 1: in Peru um in Cousco, there was a a bar
- 4:47Speaker 1: that a lot of tourists would stop at on their
- 4:49Speaker 1: way down the um from Machu Pichu and they'd have lunch.
- 4:52Speaker 1: And I wouldn't go often, but I try to go,
- 4:56Speaker 1: you know, once every couple of weeks and just stop
- 4:58Speaker 1: in there and see these tourists from all over the
- 5:02Speaker 1: world really stop begin to like grab their first cheeseburger
- 5:05Speaker 1: in Peru fries and watch football or watch whatever sports
- 5:09Speaker 1: is on TV. It's just like a little like reminder
- 5:12Speaker 1: of home. It was fun for me to see that too,
- 5:15Speaker 1: by you know, because I was there. And you know,
- 5:17Speaker 1: what's what's interesting about that is that, like a lot
- 5:21Speaker 1: of times, if we were going to go watch a
- 5:23Speaker 1: football game and a bar in America, we wouldn't talk
- 5:26Speaker 1: to people around us, right, We'd stick to our own table,
- 5:29Speaker 1: Like we may exchange a few little mess you know,
- 5:31Speaker 1: a little few little comments and high fives and pounds
- 5:34Speaker 1: and all that, but we would never like talk to
- 5:37Speaker 1: them for hours. And we did that with multiple people.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And it's just cool the way, like you get bonded
- 5:42Speaker 1: over your own culture when you're away from it. But
- 5:45Speaker 1: it's also of course nice to explore the other you know,
- 5:47Speaker 1: the actual culture that you're in the midstuff. Um. But anyway,
- 5:51Speaker 1: speaking of couple time and the origin of these relationships,
- 5:56Speaker 1: it's paradise time. It is paradise time. And hopefully, um,
- 6:02Speaker 1: some of these couples that we saw in last night's episode,
- 6:05Speaker 1: we'll emderge as long lasting couples as we and uh yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 1: I'm written for them. There's a couple of good little
- 6:11Speaker 1: love stories of unfolding right now. But should we break
- 6:14Speaker 1: down the episode after this break Yeah, But before we do,
- 6:18Speaker 1: I just want to say, hey, thanks again to my
- 6:20Speaker 1: Heart for the I Heart Music Festival. This weekend actually
- 6:23Speaker 1: was in Italy, so if you listen to our episodes
- 6:26Speaker 1: that were released, we have some incredible guests, got to
- 6:28Speaker 1: meet a lot of cool people. One of the fun
- 6:30Speaker 1: things about I Heeart Fest is bringing so many people
- 6:33Speaker 1: together that you typically wouldn't run into now in this
- 6:35Speaker 1: bachelor world, and hopefully allowing them just have a little fun.
- 6:40Speaker 1: It's one of the hopes, right, everybody's kind of in
- 6:42Speaker 1: it together. You can just let loose a little bit
- 6:44Speaker 1: have a good time. Uh. And the festival itself was
- 6:47Speaker 1: absolutely outrageously fun. I heart pulled it off once again.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Some incredible musical guests, um from all different genres and
- 6:56Speaker 1: walks of life. Uh. We had a great, great weekend
- 7:00Speaker 1: and um in Las Vegas. So the show itself will
- 7:05Speaker 1: be airing on television at some point soon. We'll make
- 7:07Speaker 1: sure to give it then announcement. But until uh here
- 7:11Speaker 1: you know obviously our employer, my heart, we just want
- 7:13Speaker 1: to say thinks it was a great festival, a lot
- 7:15Speaker 1: of fun. Uh and we always enjoy being there. It's
- 7:18Speaker 1: gonna be airing on television. We just got the know
- 7:20Speaker 1: October seven and eight on the c W so I
- 7:25Speaker 1: Heart Music Fest. You can see me present the presenter
- 7:32Speaker 1: on national television. People. Um, I presented the presenter. I
- 7:39Speaker 1: don't know if that's like UM. I actually want to
- 7:42Speaker 1: say it's a very important job because I think it's
- 7:45Speaker 1: cool a presenter needs to be presented um and I
- 7:49Speaker 1: want to I want to dig into the drama or
- 7:52Speaker 1: like the juicy scoop that was that weekend with you.
- 7:55Speaker 1: When we have our guest of the podcast on Megan
- 8:01Speaker 1: uh huh, so as might as well save those headlines
- 8:05Speaker 1: for from Megan later in the show. So Megan King
- 8:08Speaker 1: is coming later in the show to talk about those
- 8:11Speaker 1: pictures they may have seen with her and Mike Johnson
- 8:14Speaker 1: being all over each other. All right, but next we're
- 8:16Speaker 1: talking Bachelor in Paradise. So stay tuned. We'll be right back.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It's everybody's favorite time of year. Yes, it is time
- 8:33Speaker 1: for Bachelor in Paradise. Paradise is awaiting. I don't know
- 8:38Speaker 1: how many. I think there's like always forty total by
- 8:40Speaker 1: the end of this show, very lucky suitors on the
- 8:43Speaker 1: beach in Mexico. We did see in the teaser that
- 8:47Speaker 1: our very own Ashley Uh is gonna be She's gonna
- 8:52Speaker 1: be joining Uh these these contestants in Paradise at some
- 8:56Speaker 1: point with her husband Jared, but that wasn't happening in
- 8:59Speaker 1: the first episode. Instead, the first episode is kind of
- 9:01Speaker 1: our introduction to the season. We get to meet the
- 9:04Speaker 1: initial cast, So this first episode is really where we
- 9:08Speaker 1: get to meet the contestants, get to know their personalities,
- 9:11Speaker 1: see what they're looking for, and hear who their first
- 9:14Speaker 1: impressions are really leaning towards Ashley. You get jacked for
- 9:18Speaker 1: Paradise every season. I do want to ask you a
- 9:20Speaker 1: little behind the scenes here as a reminder, please do
- 9:25Speaker 1: these contestants are showing up to Mexico right Uh, they
- 9:29Speaker 1: are going to the Vedanta initially to do COVID testing
- 9:33Speaker 1: and everything they need they need to do. How many
- 9:36Speaker 1: days are you waiting in the hotel? When do you
- 9:39Speaker 1: find out if you're you know, first feet on the beach,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and then what is the drive like to this resort
- 9:48Speaker 1: in Sallylita. So just kind of walk us through the
- 9:50Speaker 1: behind the scenes prepping for this moment that you do
- 9:52Speaker 1: walk down the stairs. How long are the stairs? Give
- 9:55Speaker 1: us the details. So the original cast is there for
- 9:58Speaker 1: about four nights at a on toe, which is really
- 10:00Speaker 1: no different than the cast for the main show Bachelor Bachelorette.
- 10:05Speaker 1: You know, you're doing photoshoots, you're during press, you're doing
- 10:08Speaker 1: all these tests, you're doing like your psychological tests, you
- 10:12Speaker 1: are you know, you're just getting the works done. But
- 10:16Speaker 1: when we're in Fernanta, it's really nice because you get
- 10:20Speaker 1: unlimited room service, or at least so that was the
- 10:23Speaker 1: situation with us unlimited and we had unlimited drinks. Is
- 10:27Speaker 1: back with Juring season two, Season three from me? Now, yeah,
- 10:32Speaker 1: I think we I think we still have like do
- 10:35Speaker 1: unlimited food. When Jared and I went there, I know
- 10:38Speaker 1: you don't have to pay for like I don't want
- 10:40Speaker 1: to say that because that just might be for their favorites.
- 10:43Speaker 1: They might not give that everybody. Actually, we like you,
- 10:47Speaker 1: we enjoy you. We know, no matter what, you're gonna
- 10:49Speaker 1: make great television for us. So here is just a
- 10:53Speaker 1: wide open room service card. Spend it. Use it to
- 10:57Speaker 1: your liking, because when you get to that B, we
- 11:00Speaker 1: know you're going to be on sweet that it could be.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I don't want to call myself a favorite, but you
- 11:05Speaker 1: know I have been there a time or two. I
- 11:08Speaker 1: do remember you getting free drinks with your free room
- 11:11Speaker 1: service the first My first two seasons this year, Jared
- 11:14Speaker 1: and I did have to pay for like cocktails. So
- 11:17Speaker 1: if you if you want drinks, you gotta pay for
- 11:19Speaker 1: those now. Uh yeah. So then the when do you
- 11:26Speaker 1: know whether you're like first sand as I call it
- 11:29Speaker 1: these days, I think pretty much because of like everybody
- 11:32Speaker 1: talks to each other. You know that if you're flying
- 11:35Speaker 1: on a certain date and you like figure out like
- 11:37Speaker 1: who else is falling on that date, that your first Sandy.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I don't think it's Yeah, I don't think that's really
- 11:44Speaker 1: that much of a mystery. But people who come like
- 11:46Speaker 1: a day or two later, like I think they know
- 11:49Speaker 1: that they're a little bit more up in the air.
- 11:52Speaker 1: And then the drive is about an hour to sell
- 11:57Speaker 1: Ulita to play Escondida from Dunda, and it's a bumpy,
- 12:02Speaker 1: bumpy right for them. For half of it you're going
- 12:06Speaker 1: through you know, highway and it's fine, and then you
- 12:10Speaker 1: hit this spart where it's like gravel curves and massive
- 12:14Speaker 1: bumps and like those roads that if some if you
- 12:18Speaker 1: see somebody coming down the opposite direction, you're like, I
- 12:21Speaker 1: don't know what we're gonna do. Back up, you know,
- 12:25Speaker 1: try to climb a mountain. It's just new. It's nerve
- 12:28Speaker 1: racking when you come come across another car on those roads.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Do you want first sand? Is that something that contestants
- 12:38Speaker 1: desire two days later? Well, if you're two days later,
- 12:43Speaker 1: then I think that that's like that nut's pretty good
- 12:46Speaker 1: because that kind of means like you're the ultimate temptation,
- 12:48Speaker 1: and my point of view, like you're the one that
- 12:50Speaker 1: you know that like you're going to shake things up,
- 12:52Speaker 1: and not just with drama, but like you're like of
- 12:56Speaker 1: interest to the opposite sex, right, So like Victoria Fuller,
- 13:00Speaker 1: we saw her come down later, and I think that
- 13:02Speaker 1: we all know, like Victoria, like, it's definitely like that
- 13:05Speaker 1: kind of like desired person. And I think that's flattering.
- 13:10Speaker 1: But I think that like, you don't want to be
- 13:13Speaker 1: you don't want to be like me, like week um
- 13:15Speaker 1: in season two where you come in like the first
- 13:18Speaker 1: week of girls entering, you know what I mean, because
- 13:20Speaker 1: you have your girls and guys entering, and then you
- 13:23Speaker 1: have your guys entering, and then you have your girls entering,
- 13:26Speaker 1: and like then you just feel like you're walking into
- 13:29Speaker 1: a bunch of couples and you're just scrounging for a date. Yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 1: it's it's interesting. Me. I feel like I would not
- 13:36Speaker 1: want to be there first. I want to come in soon.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I want to kind of let the first initial impressions
- 13:44Speaker 1: settle where they may. I feel like, if you're really
- 13:47Speaker 1: into somebody, if you're going down there saying I have
- 13:49Speaker 1: my eyes on this person, I'm only in it for
- 13:51Speaker 1: this person, I want to let that happen. I don't
- 13:54Speaker 1: want to be around for that. I don't want it
- 13:55Speaker 1: to be awkward or all of a sudden I don't
- 13:57Speaker 1: know what you're feeling behind the scenes, and I ask
- 14:00Speaker 1: you want to date, and then you're like, I'm sorry,
- 14:02Speaker 1: I'm actually really just waiting for this person to come
- 14:05Speaker 1: down the beach. I want the dust to settle, to
- 14:08Speaker 1: see kind of how it plays out, and then walk
- 14:11Speaker 1: down that way. There's kind of a picture. There's more
- 14:15Speaker 1: of a calmness to the beach. There's less of an excitement,
- 14:18Speaker 1: and you know this, Like I get a little socially awkward,
- 14:22Speaker 1: and so those like initial like when you're the first
- 14:25Speaker 1: one the beach and people are coming down, like the
- 14:27Speaker 1: hug of like hey, I'm been nice to teach you.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I don't know your name, I've never seen you before,
- 14:32Speaker 1: I don't know what you're about. I get really kind
- 14:35Speaker 1: of like quiet and like drawn out in those moments.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'd rather enter into something that's already been set, like
- 14:42Speaker 1: the vibe has already been committed. Now that you've picked
- 14:45Speaker 1: at this picture for me, I understand your point of
- 14:47Speaker 1: view more. I still want to be first Sand, but
- 14:50Speaker 1: I understand also, UM understand what you're saying about, like
- 14:56Speaker 1: the chaos that is being first Sand. It's like everybody
- 15:00Speaker 1: is hunting. It's like it's like it's officially hunting season.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Go find a mate. It's just a little bit more stressful.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I feel like than if you were to walk in
- 15:10Speaker 1: and then be like, I have my eyes on this person,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I have a I have an initial charge to this one.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I would like to take them on a date. Your
- 15:18Speaker 1: problem is that person could be taken and you just
- 15:22Speaker 1: never got your chance. Yeah, that's a good point. What
- 15:24Speaker 1: is That's a great point. There's there's pros and cons
- 15:27Speaker 1: to both. I also think that you have you ever
- 15:30Speaker 1: been on like a big friends trip. That first night
- 15:33Speaker 1: is wild and exciting. Everybody so anxious and anticipating like
- 15:37Speaker 1: the days ahead, and so they end up partying more
- 15:40Speaker 1: than they typically would, and they end up, you know,
- 15:43Speaker 1: just get they kind of have like the anxious energy
- 15:45Speaker 1: about them. I get that way with guys golf trips. Now,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I get very anxious and excited, and so I show
- 15:51Speaker 1: up to that first night and I'm like ready to
- 15:52Speaker 1: go so excited for that first tea time, and I
- 15:56Speaker 1: wear myself out. I end up going too hard, too fast,
- 16:00Speaker 1: too soon. And so if I I just feel like
- 16:02Speaker 1: I want to like peacefully interim and I want to
- 16:04Speaker 1: calmly walk down. What's going on, guys, It's good to
- 16:07Speaker 1: be here. How are you doing. How's your experience been?
- 16:10Speaker 1: You're still sweating. That looks like you're hot and tired.
- 16:13Speaker 1: We actually, Ashley before we break down this episode, we
- 16:17Speaker 1: had Genevieve in Victoria Fuller in Las Vegas with us.
- 16:22Speaker 1: We do have interviews with both of them. They're both great.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I think they're gonna make insanely good television between the
- 16:30Speaker 1: two of them. I also really just enjoy them. And
- 16:32Speaker 1: here's the cool part, Ashley. I've never met them before
- 16:35Speaker 1: this trip. Just sitting with them having lunch one day,
- 16:40Speaker 1: Rachel the pass Bachelorette, I guess the most recent bachelor um. Victoria,
- 16:46Speaker 1: Genevieve and I had lunch together. We talked for probably
- 16:49Speaker 1: an hour and a half, just to four of us,
- 16:51Speaker 1: and I sat there and I told Genevieve at the
- 16:53Speaker 1: end of this, I said, Genevieve, because she's kind of nervous, like,
- 16:56Speaker 1: you know, how is this going to be portrayed and
- 16:58Speaker 1: all this stuff? And I asked her she was worried
- 17:00Speaker 1: about anything. She's not that pops in my head. I'm
- 17:02Speaker 1: just worried people won't like me. I'm like, Okay, Genevia,
- 17:04Speaker 1: let me tell you this. You are, Ashley, like you
- 17:07Speaker 1: are your emotional You're just hopeless romantic. You love being
- 17:12Speaker 1: around people, you love hard, you love well. You you
- 17:15Speaker 1: set your eyes on something, you want it. You're gonna
- 17:18Speaker 1: be insanely good television. Not because you are an actress,
- 17:22Speaker 1: just because of who you are. She is hilarious, a blast,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and and like just the stuff she was willing to
- 17:30Speaker 1: tell me, the stuff that I feel like you would
- 17:32Speaker 1: have been willing to tell me back then about you know,
- 17:35Speaker 1: sweating and sleeping and the bathroom arrangements and the bed
- 17:39Speaker 1: arrangements and what's crawling into the bed and what's not
- 17:42Speaker 1: It's It was amazing. I just loved listening to Victoria
- 17:46Speaker 1: and Genevieve and Rachel talk amongst each other. Ashley, UM,
- 17:50Speaker 1: let's just run through. I'm gonna do a few of
- 17:53Speaker 1: them here, then you can pick up from there. Uh.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Of the people that's coming to the beaches to give
- 17:57Speaker 1: people a reminder, Uh, the first one is one that
- 18:00Speaker 1: people you know, didn't haven't seen a lot of before. Actually,
- 18:05Speaker 1: some of these contestants people haven't seen a lot of before,
- 18:07Speaker 1: which I think is fun. But here you go. We
- 18:09Speaker 1: have Hunter from Clayton season. We have Johnny from Gabby
- 18:13Speaker 1: and Rachel's season, Serene from Clayton season, Brandon from Michelle's season,
- 18:19Speaker 1: Kira from Clayton season. Now, I will say, and I
- 18:24Speaker 1: don't want this to come off bad. It will probably
- 18:26Speaker 1: I didn't recognize Hunter or Kira. I didn't. I did
- 18:30Speaker 1: not recognize who they were. I I was had to
- 18:33Speaker 1: look them up and say, were they really on this
- 18:35Speaker 1: season or not? Okay, I have two more here, Jacob
- 18:38Speaker 1: from Rachel and Gabby season and then Genevieve from Clayton season.
- 18:41Speaker 1: You want to finish the list, sure, Then we have
- 18:45Speaker 1: from Clayton season, Justin from Katie season, Jill from Clayton season,
- 18:49Speaker 1: and Michael A from Katie season. So we don't have
- 18:52Speaker 1: many guys from or any Yeah, we don't have any
- 18:56Speaker 1: guys from the most recent season. We don't. It's weird,
- 18:59Speaker 1: isn't it. Well Logan was also there, but he wasn't
- 19:03Speaker 1: in the packages beforehand. Okay, huh yeah, it felt like
- 19:11Speaker 1: these like they did pull back a little bit on
- 19:13Speaker 1: some seasons here, right, because then we have Andrew and
- 19:16Speaker 1: those guys showing up here later on. Uh. Well, Serene
- 19:19Speaker 1: shows up to the beach. First, we see her package
- 19:22Speaker 1: and we see her have walked down the beach. I
- 19:25Speaker 1: have a feeling Serene is going to be kind of
- 19:27Speaker 1: one of those like I think she'll settle down early.
- 19:31Speaker 1: You know, we might get a hint of that already,
- 19:33Speaker 1: but I think she's gonna have at some point somebody
- 19:36Speaker 1: come down to the beach that she's kind of interested
- 19:38Speaker 1: in and that's very interested in her, and she's gonna
- 19:41Speaker 1: be that storyline of she goes on a date, comes
- 19:43Speaker 1: back and it's like, Nope, well we saw that it's
- 19:46Speaker 1: already happening. It's Brandon. You know. What's what I'm saying,
- 19:50Speaker 1: she'll come back to Brandon at some point, she'll come
- 19:53Speaker 1: back to Brandon. You think that, like, oh, because it's
- 19:56Speaker 1: not like it's not sent and Stone, but it's the ye.
- 20:00Speaker 1: It's that this is the first week. We haven't moved
- 20:02Speaker 1: to the point where we're like, yes, that's a couple,
- 20:04Speaker 1: you know, like the most couply couple. Definitely, definitely you
- 20:10Speaker 1: should go look at Bachelor Data's recent posts. She talks
- 20:13Speaker 1: about like this trend about how the first guy in
- 20:16Speaker 1: the first girl down on the beach is usually the
- 20:19Speaker 1: two to end up in serious relationships, not necessarily together,
- 20:22Speaker 1: but like those two people lead roman romantic storylines for
- 20:29Speaker 1: the entire season. So then Michael A is the first
- 20:32Speaker 1: guy to the beach, right, yes, sir, And that makes sense? Yeah,
- 20:37Speaker 1: its sense. I mean Michael A. Um, I feel like
- 20:43Speaker 1: I can do no wrong because I think he's a
- 20:47Speaker 1: I mean, I know him. He is a good dude.
- 20:49Speaker 1: He is, he is what he shows on television, right, Um,
- 20:55Speaker 1: he's good looking. Kind of went out of the radar.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I think after Katie season people still of him, but
- 21:00Speaker 1: kind of forgot about him a little bit. I think
- 21:02Speaker 1: the Beach was a great decision for him. I think
- 21:04Speaker 1: going on Paradise and then just the way that the
- 21:07Speaker 1: girls were talking about him is the Michael A that
- 21:10Speaker 1: I've known him personally, where they're like, I'm into him.
- 21:14Speaker 1: He's he's good looking. He is, and he's gotten better looking. Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I would think he's always been handsome, but like he's
- 21:20Speaker 1: like hot. He had the Bachelor blow up yeah and
- 21:24Speaker 1: uh he uh. And he he took time to talk
- 21:29Speaker 1: to each person, even if it wasn't like a romantic interest.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I think, you know, that could be seen as as
- 21:34Speaker 1: a negative in some eyes. But Michael A I think
- 21:36Speaker 1: did it with the intention of just like, hey, welcome
- 21:39Speaker 1: to the beach. I'm the first person here. I want
- 21:41Speaker 1: to make you feel welcome. Let's call the nerves, let's
- 21:43Speaker 1: have a drink, let's hang out, and I think it's
- 21:46Speaker 1: gonna I mean, I just feel like that's the type
- 21:47Speaker 1: of guy he is. I would be shocked if if
- 21:51Speaker 1: the show especially doesn't kind of find him his match.
- 21:55Speaker 1: For sure. He's the most rootable character and I just
- 22:00Speaker 1: have to reiterate all your sentiments there. He's just so sweet,
- 22:04Speaker 1: so easy to talk to, just like you just want
- 22:07Speaker 1: to be around him. He makes every social situation enhanced.
- 22:12Speaker 1: He does. He's going to thrive here. And then we
- 22:15Speaker 1: have Andrew that walks down the beach, the second guy
- 22:18Speaker 1: to the beach. I mean, that's a two pretty power
- 22:20Speaker 1: packed punch, right He's probably sitting there being like, all right,
- 22:24Speaker 1: we're off to a good start. We've got this might
- 22:27Speaker 1: not be my romantic interest, but at least we're stack
- 22:30Speaker 1: in the deck. At the beginning. Andrew and Michael Ay,
- 22:33Speaker 1: two of the most rutable people right now kind of
- 22:38Speaker 1: coming into paradise, are at the beach. First, that's awesome.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Two major Bachelor contenders, two guys that I would have
- 22:46Speaker 1: rather seen as the Bachelor. In both cases, when when
- 22:50Speaker 1: I referred to Zach and when I referred to Clayton Love,
- 22:54Speaker 1: Andrew and Michael, I now know them personally. Um, but
- 22:59Speaker 1: even and if I didn't, I'd still find that they
- 23:02Speaker 1: were more compelling people that I've watched on TV. But yeah, again,
- 23:07Speaker 1: to read right what you said, if if I were Serena,
- 23:09Speaker 1: I'd be like, okay, feeling good about these two people.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Are really invested in both their storylines. And I like
- 23:17Speaker 1: the fact that we have like Katie's major like Big
- 23:20Speaker 1: three besides you know her final pick with um justin,
- 23:25Speaker 1: Michael and Andrew all there. So we just saved the
- 23:29Speaker 1: goodies for this season. So maybe we'll do some of
- 23:32Speaker 1: that with Rachel and Gabby season as well next year. Yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 1: And I would also say that Rachel and Gabby, to
- 23:38Speaker 1: go back a little bit, they really carried their seasons,
- 23:41Speaker 1: like the seasons were interesting or enjoyable or controversial because
- 23:48Speaker 1: of Rachel and Gabby, their contestants I didn't think stood
- 23:53Speaker 1: up to the challenge like there was you know, there's
- 23:54Speaker 1: maybe I can't remember anyone. Okay, my point exactly. Now,
- 23:59Speaker 1: Katie with the Michael A and the Justin and Andrews,
- 24:02Speaker 1: they're big personalities. They're nice guys, they're good looking guys.
- 24:05Speaker 1: They've you know, they've came off the show and we
- 24:08Speaker 1: still remember them like I, you know, I I remember
- 24:11Speaker 1: their storylines. I remember Justin having the facial expressions. I
- 24:14Speaker 1: remember some dance video that Andrew did at some point
- 24:17Speaker 1: that I enjoyed. I've been able to talk to Michael
- 24:19Speaker 1: A a a lot over the phone, and so I don't know,
- 24:23Speaker 1: you know, it's it's hard to say, and we're focused
- 24:25Speaker 1: on this season, but I feel like these guys really
- 24:29Speaker 1: stood up to the challenge when it came to kind
- 24:31Speaker 1: of showing who they were as people. And I don't
- 24:34Speaker 1: know if Katie and Rachel are if Gabby and Rachel
- 24:38Speaker 1: had enough contestants that really did that. So we also
- 24:42Speaker 1: have Michelle season in the mix, so we've totally forgotten
- 24:45Speaker 1: about again her season. Not like a whole ton of
- 24:49Speaker 1: memorable guys, but Brandon was probably the one that we
- 24:51Speaker 1: would most want to see find love in that group.
- 24:54Speaker 1: And then there is Rodney, and I think Rodney's in
- 24:57Speaker 1: the scenes for the next episode or the future episodes. Okay,
- 25:00Speaker 1: So right now, if we break down this by season Ashley,
- 25:04Speaker 1: from Gabby and Rachel season, we have Johnny Logan Logan,
- 25:12Speaker 1: and then um silly Man perfect Tarzan okay, And then
- 25:19Speaker 1: from Katie season we have Michael a Andrew Justin Andrew Justin. Well,
- 25:26Speaker 1: those are the three. That's the three, yeah, okay. And
- 25:29Speaker 1: then from Michelle season is only Brandon Oh my goodness,
- 25:33Speaker 1: gracious yeah, wow wow. And then where is Casey from
- 25:44Speaker 1: Casey Oh he's from Michelle season. Okay, So was he
- 25:47Speaker 1: let go early on? Yeah? He was like the middle
- 25:50Speaker 1: of the line. Okay. I kind of liked his Like
- 25:53Speaker 1: he shined in Paradise a little bit this episode, just
- 25:56Speaker 1: like this commentary and like sitting at breakfast after you know,
- 26:00Speaker 1: who knows what happened that night, But I just enjoyed.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I enjoyed that interaction. I felt like it was really funny. Uh,
- 26:07Speaker 1: And I'm excited to see kind of him shine hopefully
- 26:10Speaker 1: for a few weeks on Paradises. Okay. So then let's
- 26:12Speaker 1: go to the women Better at the Beach from the
- 26:18Speaker 1: most current season, Clayton season of The Bachelor. Who do
- 26:22Speaker 1: we have all all of them except for Victoria. Laces
- 26:27Speaker 1: down there and she was she was on the power
- 26:30Speaker 1: packed Bachelor's season. I mean that Bachelor that season. That
- 26:33Speaker 1: Lace was on that power packed one that was called
- 26:36Speaker 1: Ben Higgins season. Yeah, that Laces down there. That's shocking
- 26:41Speaker 1: and surprising and I did not expect to see her.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I hope finds love. Sorry. We also have Brittany and
- 26:48Speaker 1: Brittany's from Matt season, but Bertie flew under the radar
- 26:52Speaker 1: in last night's episode, and I hate that because I
- 26:55Speaker 1: love Britney. Is Brittany the one that back during Matt season,
- 26:58Speaker 1: I was like, that girl is beautiful, She's going to
- 27:00Speaker 1: be right. So studying when we were in Paradise, well,
- 27:05Speaker 1: I can't say anything. I can't won't say anything, but anyone,
- 27:10Speaker 1: I'll talk. I'll talk next week when I'm allowed to talk.
- 27:14Speaker 1: What season was Jill on? Jill was on Cleaning season? Ji, Yes,
- 27:20Speaker 1: and even like backstories, I know, not just from being
- 27:23Speaker 1: down there in Paradise, but through Jill, Like I knew
- 27:26Speaker 1: that she and Kira had drama surrounding Romeo before they
- 27:30Speaker 1: even left for Paradise. Like Jill would tell me, she
- 27:34Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, they're gonna put Kira there,
- 27:36Speaker 1: and they're good about Romeo there, and it's like I
- 27:38Speaker 1: liked Romo, but you know, I got the whole scope
- 27:41Speaker 1: before she went down. Well, they rose to the occasion
- 27:45Speaker 1: on night one. Yes, so Romeo is down there as well.
- 27:47Speaker 1: If you remember Romeo, Romeo was on this past season
- 27:50Speaker 1: of The Bachelorette. Correct Romeo was on Oh Michelle season
- 27:55Speaker 1: or we're just like doing a really bad job about
- 27:59Speaker 1: you know, fig ring out was who's from here? But yes, Romeo,
- 28:02Speaker 1: Michelle Susan along with Um Brandon and so the beach
- 28:09Speaker 1: is packed, things are flowing. Wells is at the bar
- 28:13Speaker 1: making drinks. It's good to see Wells back. It is.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I think he brings an element to this show that's important.
- 28:20Speaker 1: And from what I understand from talking to Victorian Genevieve,
- 28:23Speaker 1: like they just really enjoy hanging out the bar with
- 28:25Speaker 1: Wells on the beach, and so I think it helps
- 28:29Speaker 1: always nice to have that third element of human, not
- 28:34Speaker 1: a cast member, not a production member. Yeah, he's and
- 28:39Speaker 1: he's bar tender and he's not trying to sway you
- 28:43Speaker 1: any direction. He's not telling you what you should do next.
- 28:46Speaker 1: He's just listening. He's a good listener, grace storyteller. Uh
- 28:50Speaker 1: and uh, and I'm happy to see Wells back. I'm
- 28:53Speaker 1: happy to see him behind the bar. Ashley a little
- 28:57Speaker 1: bit of drama on week one. Obviously, you just talked
- 28:59Speaker 1: about Jill, Kira and Romeo. Uh. From what you saw
- 29:05Speaker 1: and what you understand, how did you feel about that interaction.
- 29:10Speaker 1: This is what I understand from the situation. I think
- 29:14Speaker 1: he was kind of flirtatious with both off camera, and
- 29:20Speaker 1: then I think he had visited, like Jill and Romeo
- 29:25Speaker 1: were truly just friends. I think that was their first
- 29:28Speaker 1: kiss off camera, but there was like a there was
- 29:30Speaker 1: a flirtation. And then with Kira, it seems obvious on
- 29:35Speaker 1: the show that they had kissed before off camera. Um,
- 29:40Speaker 1: but then it looks like he's not apparently that into
- 29:43Speaker 1: it because he flat out tells Kira, please give me
- 29:47Speaker 1: the space to pursue Jill, and I thought he did.
- 29:49Speaker 1: That's such a such a nice way, let's just but then,
- 29:52Speaker 1: but then Kira just seems to not really want to
- 29:55Speaker 1: abide by that wish, and she's being really a aggressive
- 30:01Speaker 1: and she's making it seem to Jill, like said, I
- 30:03Speaker 1: don't know why you're annoyed at me. It's like maybe
- 30:06Speaker 1: because you're being super aggressive and he told you to
- 30:10Speaker 1: like let him pursue this um. But Jill is hilarious
- 30:14Speaker 1: and this will be this will be continuing. No, I'll
- 30:19Speaker 1: just say that as something continuing. Kira moved on quickly.
- 30:22Speaker 1: She rubbing cases nipples by the end of the night.
- 30:24Speaker 1: So she's a slop show. A slop show, right, I mean,
- 30:30Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know her. I just saw
- 30:31Speaker 1: her rubbing nipples and I was like, hey, I'm sure
- 30:34Speaker 1: that feels great on the beach, a little wind in
- 30:36Speaker 1: your hair. It seems like a very romantic evening. I
- 30:42Speaker 1: don't know. I'm excited to watch this play out. I
- 30:46Speaker 1: do imagine that, Kira. I mean, anybody that has the
- 30:49Speaker 1: title looking for a Threesome is obviously going to create
- 30:55Speaker 1: some storylines during this season. If they want to give
- 30:58Speaker 1: you that title, you're not lying under the radar. Uh.
- 31:01Speaker 1: And now I'm wondering where and how how is this
- 31:05Speaker 1: going to play out? This cannot end well, But I'm
- 31:08Speaker 1: excited to watch it on national television. I'll have to say.
- 31:12Speaker 1: I have to say that so we all know that
- 31:13Speaker 1: Kira is a doctor. I believe she is an internist.
- 31:17Speaker 1: How would you feel seeing just your doctor rubbing nipples?
- 31:23Speaker 1: I feel, you know, let it fly? Just do you?
- 31:27Speaker 1: Just do you you're on paradise. I mean, we've had
- 31:31Speaker 1: a lot of people with a lot of different professions, attorneys, doctors, uh,
- 31:38Speaker 1: a lot of workout trainers, um. All of them just
- 31:42Speaker 1: seem to go to paradise and let loose. I mean,
- 31:48Speaker 1: it's kind of why I watch it. I watch it
- 31:50Speaker 1: to see them let loose and to see their real like,
- 31:52Speaker 1: to see their personalities let go. Well. One of the
- 31:57Speaker 1: cool things to actually during this episode is the date
- 31:59Speaker 1: between Queen Andrew and Teddy. I mean, if I remember right,
- 32:05Speaker 1: I think we covered this way back in the day,
- 32:07Speaker 1: But when Teddy was on television, Andrew was like kind
- 32:10Speaker 1: of tweeting at her right or like messaging her. I'm
- 32:12Speaker 1: sure they've had to have spoken. There's no way they
- 32:16Speaker 1: haven't spoken, because I thought he was kind of sending
- 32:19Speaker 1: you know, his his you know bat was a back call. No,
- 32:23Speaker 1: what what am I looking for? Bat signal? Like he
- 32:27Speaker 1: was sending his signal up in the air towards Teddy.
- 32:31Speaker 1: I'm sure they've talked, for sure. For sure. I loved
- 32:35Speaker 1: this day to this whole moment, this whole flirtation and
- 32:38Speaker 1: all that, because it's so authentic, so real feeling. Andrew
- 32:43Speaker 1: is obviously like straight up giddy, so nervous, can't hide it.
- 32:47Speaker 1: It's all shown. It's so real life. Love it, love
- 32:50Speaker 1: love love it. I love that he admits that he's nervous.
- 32:55Speaker 1: It's just all over adorable. This is why we love
- 32:57Speaker 1: Paradise because it's people like of looking forward to maybe
- 33:02Speaker 1: getting to be with their Christ from TV and then
- 33:06Speaker 1: seeing them do it and how they navigate it. Yeah,
- 33:09Speaker 1: it's great to watch it is. There was some very
- 33:12Speaker 1: sweet moments in this episode. Brandon and uh Serene stand
- 33:15Speaker 1: out to me obviously, Andrew and Teddy, Genevieve and Justin
- 33:19Speaker 1: also standing out to me as a very kind of,
- 33:22Speaker 1: like I want to say, relaxed couple. They feel very
- 33:27Speaker 1: normal around each other. They feel like they're just connecting
- 33:30Speaker 1: on a really good level, not only physically. Who shouldn't
- 33:34Speaker 1: even Justin? Yeah, okay, so I don't feel genev even
- 33:38Speaker 1: Justin yet. Interesting. Well, I guess the I guess I
- 33:43Speaker 1: see something you don't. I guess you do I see
- 33:47Speaker 1: all over Brandon and Serene. I mean that interaction was
- 33:52Speaker 1: a future bachelor couple. I feel like he he pulled
- 33:56Speaker 1: her over. Yeah, he pulled her over, and she was like,
- 34:00Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna kiss anybody for like a while, and
- 34:03Speaker 1: then here I am like wanting to kiss Like she
- 34:06Speaker 1: basically said, you're giving me I want to kiss fibes
- 34:09Speaker 1: and then she giggled at it and he went right
- 34:11Speaker 1: in and it was like, whoa, this is amazing. I
- 34:17Speaker 1: I think we saw two connections during this episode that
- 34:20Speaker 1: I would bet money on could last through it, and
- 34:23Speaker 1: and Teddy Serene and Brandon. I would put Genevieve and
- 34:27Speaker 1: Justin kind of in that third spot, but not like
- 34:30Speaker 1: I think they're gonna make it the whole time. Is
- 34:32Speaker 1: there any other couples after a week one that you're saying, no, this,
- 34:37Speaker 1: this is going to be the real deal for the
- 34:39Speaker 1: rest of the show. Um, maybe not for the rest
- 34:42Speaker 1: of the show. But there were a few more flirtations
- 34:45Speaker 1: we should mention. There was Sierra and Michael, and they
- 34:49Speaker 1: had a really good conversation because Michael opened up about
- 34:54Speaker 1: a very detailed part of being a single parent. He
- 34:59Speaker 1: was like, I don't get to share these memories of someone,
- 35:02Speaker 1: so like, when somebody hopefully does come into my life,
- 35:04Speaker 1: I can't look back on these times with them and
- 35:07Speaker 1: have that like nostalgic feeling something I never really would
- 35:11Speaker 1: have thought of. But I think that's why I FaceTime
- 35:15Speaker 1: dared and sent so many videos and pictures and face
- 35:18Speaker 1: time my parents so much, because I'm constantly trying to
- 35:21Speaker 1: like share what's going on Dawson's day to day life,
- 35:23Speaker 1: and it's just like crazy to not have a go
- 35:25Speaker 1: to person for that. Yeah, well what do you think
- 35:28Speaker 1: about Lace? Lace becomes a big storyline during this episode,
- 35:31Speaker 1: as well as her thirty second birthday. Happy Birthday, Lace,
- 35:34Speaker 1: It's not really what do you mean that was her
- 35:37Speaker 1: fake birthday? Her fake birthday? Okay, well still happy fake birthday, Lace, Um,
- 35:44Speaker 1: loose loose. So that's what I was just going to
- 35:46Speaker 1: bring into. Obviously Lace's story here so far, I don't
- 35:51Speaker 1: feel like he's off to a a great start. Not
- 35:55Speaker 1: that she's messed anything up, it just feels a little rough. Um.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Lace hasn't been on the show in a while. Uh,
- 36:03Speaker 1: the show has always been difficult for her. If you
- 36:05Speaker 1: remember when she was on the Bachelor, Um, she left
- 36:09Speaker 1: because it was hard on her to be around all
- 36:12Speaker 1: these people and to have this attention and to kind
- 36:14Speaker 1: of be searching and fighting for for something, which is
- 36:19Speaker 1: why I'm surprisedly showed back up to Paradise. I don't
- 36:21Speaker 1: know why, I don't know how it happened, but episode
- 36:26Speaker 1: one I felt like we saw the lace that we
- 36:30Speaker 1: have missed, but also saw years ago on the beach
- 36:34Speaker 1: in Paradise when she was last there. It was the
- 36:36Speaker 1: lace that we've missed, that the show has missed. These
- 36:39Speaker 1: are the characters that people feel are missing from these
- 36:43Speaker 1: current seasons. She says these things, which makes us be like, yes,
- 36:48Speaker 1: bringing back the o G feeling. He She goes, my
- 36:53Speaker 1: season was so much better than this season. In reference
- 36:56Speaker 1: to Paradise season three, she goes, this is the most
- 37:00Speaker 1: boring season, and I feel the prettiest I've ever been.
- 37:04Speaker 1: She also says when she's being forced to sort of
- 37:09Speaker 1: go downstairs and mingle with everybody when she's lying in bed,
- 37:12Speaker 1: she was fine. I guess I also start being fakest.
- 37:15Speaker 1: It's like, yes, thank you for saying everything that people
- 37:20Speaker 1: at home would feel in that situation, just being straight
- 37:24Speaker 1: up on us. She's the greatest she is. She is
- 37:27Speaker 1: the greatest, and she lives here in Denver, so I
- 37:29Speaker 1: get to see see her around. Um, she is funny. Uh.
- 37:33Speaker 1: She does say what's on her mind, which is something
- 37:36Speaker 1: we missed. She doesn't have anything to hold back on anymore.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Like I said, you know, it kind of happens when
- 37:40Speaker 1: this is your second and third go around you kind
- 37:42Speaker 1: of say, I'm just done pretending here. I'm just gonna
- 37:46Speaker 1: dive into it. I do have a question about and
- 37:49Speaker 1: if Logan was on the podcast, I'd have to ask
- 37:51Speaker 1: him when the world was Logan thinking like if he
- 37:54Speaker 1: didn't know her name, his guests was loose, like like Lucy,
- 37:59Speaker 1: like Ellie. You see he didn't did I didn't hear
- 38:04Speaker 1: e at the end of it. I just heard loose, Yeah, loose,
- 38:08Speaker 1: which you know that was his guest. Like that's what
- 38:12Speaker 1: That's the best he had. Yeah, Logan just just continues
- 38:18Speaker 1: to be like the blank paper. I don't get it.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yeah it is. You know he's down here. The show
- 38:27Speaker 1: obviously wanted him from this past season above other people.
- 38:31Speaker 1: That was just a weird interaction. But I can't wait.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I can't wait to kind of see Uh, I don't know,
- 38:38Speaker 1: I just I like the old school vibe that Lace springs.
- 38:41Speaker 1: You're right, it does bring back unfiltered. I also enjoy
- 38:47Speaker 1: that Lace is referencing season three as her season of
- 38:51Speaker 1: The Bachelor in Paradise, unlike that she's back on the beach, Like,
- 38:54Speaker 1: why is this not her season? I like that she goes,
- 38:56Speaker 1: that's my season. I'm just here for a good time.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Now they see your season, I'm here to ruin it.
- 39:01Speaker 1: I don't know. I love that's so much. There's always
- 39:07Speaker 1: like my season, beven year season. Yeah, you're right, this
- 39:11Speaker 1: isn't her season. This is She's right back on the beach.
- 39:13Speaker 1: It's the same thing as before. Amazing. And then it
- 39:18Speaker 1: was also funny when she was like cupping Casey's breasts
- 39:22Speaker 1: and she was and then they were like she and
- 39:24Speaker 1: Wells are talking about how like that's a full beat cup.
- 39:26Speaker 1: It really was. I was like, he's got more of
- 39:29Speaker 1: a handful than me. Yeah, good for him on the beach. Yes,
- 39:36Speaker 1: I enjoy that. Anything else from episode one standing out
- 39:40Speaker 1: to you, actually, any takeaways, anything that we want to
- 39:43Speaker 1: bring up before we move on. I'm not trying to
- 39:46Speaker 1: like to Jill's horn because she's my actual friend in
- 39:49Speaker 1: real life. But she feels like a modern Lace, do
- 39:53Speaker 1: you know what I mean. She's pretty unfiltered. She's screaming,
- 39:57Speaker 1: she she just is raw emotion and I'm liking it. Yeah,
- 40:05Speaker 1: I enjoyed watching her. I don't. I didn't know much
- 40:07Speaker 1: about her going into the season. I enjoyed watching her
- 40:13Speaker 1: in Paradise. Just her reactions, They're real. They weren't like
- 40:16Speaker 1: tamed down, they weren't um. They didn't feel like she
- 40:20Speaker 1: was trying to impress anybody. You know. She just let loose,
- 40:25Speaker 1: uh and had a good time with it. And I
- 40:26Speaker 1: think we're gonna enjoy that. I think Paradise works really
- 40:29Speaker 1: well for that. She'll shine during this thing. I think
- 40:34Speaker 1: shine her and Genevieve, I think so far like the
- 40:37Speaker 1: ones that I'm saying in Lace, I'm saying I can't.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I just like it when they're on our screens, like
- 40:43Speaker 1: I enjoy watching whatever they're gonna say and do. Uh
- 40:46Speaker 1: from that's on the girl's side on the guy said,
- 40:49Speaker 1: I don't know if I have that person yet. I
- 40:50Speaker 1: don't have somebody that's really when they're on it makes
- 40:53Speaker 1: me laugh. Casey didn't make me laugh a few times.
- 40:56Speaker 1: I I like that I liked watching him, and I'm like,
- 41:00Speaker 1: I like what Andrew. I mean, Michael a is just
- 41:03Speaker 1: like as are studfast like Romcom lead right, and then
- 41:08Speaker 1: then Andrew he makes me smile. That guy is always smiling.
- 41:13Speaker 1: He has a glow around him. Love watching him, and
- 41:15Speaker 1: I do think that Justin is really funny, and I
- 41:17Speaker 1: hope we get to see more Justin's humor. I agree.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I also just love the guys. When they sit in
- 41:23Speaker 1: the palapa uh and are talking in Tarzan is saying
- 41:27Speaker 1: ridiculous stuff like I'm really into that girl, you know,
- 41:30Speaker 1: the one girl. They're like, what's her name? He's like,
- 41:31Speaker 1: I don't know, and Andrew and Justin's reaction to that
- 41:34Speaker 1: is so good because he's like, this is the funniest,
- 41:37Speaker 1: Like this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever been
- 41:39Speaker 1: a part of UM and I love every second of Okay.
- 41:42Speaker 1: So next week we have Victoria Fuller showing up to
- 41:45Speaker 1: the beach. Uh. She's walking down kind of in the
- 41:47Speaker 1: previews while Genevieve and Justin are sitting by the pool.
- 41:51Speaker 1: It's kind of hinted that Victoria is into Justin uh,
- 41:55Speaker 1: and I'm assuming that will be a storyline that plays
- 41:58Speaker 1: out next week. So far, Ashley, do you feel like
- 42:01Speaker 1: this is a good start to Paradise. Do you feel
- 42:02Speaker 1: like this is what you needed, wanted, we're expecting, or
- 42:05Speaker 1: do you feel like it fell short and is disappointing?
- 42:08Speaker 1: There could have been a little bit more humor hits.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I knew just being down there during week two and
- 42:15Speaker 1: getting to hear about what happened during week one. I
- 42:18Speaker 1: was like, ah, you guys are gonna be off to
- 42:21Speaker 1: a slow start, that that first episode may not be
- 42:24Speaker 1: representative of what is to come. And I think like
- 42:28Speaker 1: it was good. It was fun, Like Paradise is always fun,
- 42:30Speaker 1: even on its most mediocre episodes. It's fun. It's it's
- 42:32Speaker 1: good TV. It will get juicier, guys. It's just this
- 42:37Speaker 1: is gonna be like a little bit of a slow
- 42:38Speaker 1: burn in the first one or two episodes. How many
- 42:41Speaker 1: episodes do we get, like, what like twelve twelve episodes?
- 42:47Speaker 1: I think it's twelve, my goodness. Yeah, jeez, this show
- 42:52Speaker 1: just keeps us busy. You know who we didn't talk about.
- 42:54Speaker 1: We didn't talk about Johnny at all. Johnny has nothing. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 1: that's it. That's what I say. Nothing nothing about Johnny okay, alright,
- 43:05Speaker 1: well next week than Jared and I were on one
- 43:09Speaker 1: nights episodes. Let's go all right, everybody coming up next,
- 43:14Speaker 1: we have Megan King and then we're in with bachelor
- 43:17Speaker 1: headlines as we always do, so we're not done. Grab
- 43:22Speaker 1: a glass water, come back join us for Megan King
- 43:25Speaker 1: and hearing everything that happened in Vegas. All right, we're
- 43:39Speaker 1: back and we're joined by Megan King. You guys may
- 43:42Speaker 1: know Megan from the Housewives of Orange County. She's had
- 43:46Speaker 1: a couple of profile, high profile relationships. She was a
- 43:50Speaker 1: she's a model, and she is a family She's one
- 43:57Speaker 1: of our podcast family friends here because she's had a
- 44:00Speaker 1: podcast on I Heart before, which is called Intimate Knowledge.
- 44:03Speaker 1: But now it's kind of relaunching in a different way.
- 44:06Speaker 1: So Megan, welcome to the show and let us know
- 44:09Speaker 1: how how is Intimate Knowledge different now than it used
- 44:12Speaker 1: to be? And like and why the break well I
- 44:15Speaker 1: wanted to, I mean COVID made us take a break
- 44:18Speaker 1: more or less. And um, so this relaunch is really
- 44:22Speaker 1: more about my dating life than anything else with all
- 44:25Speaker 1: the juicy details. So before when it was just about
- 44:28Speaker 1: kind of exploring different sex and intimacy, scenario, situations, and
- 44:34Speaker 1: from a woman's perspective, this is a little bit light,
- 44:37Speaker 1: more lighthearted, a little bit funnier, and a lot more personal. Okay,
- 44:42Speaker 1: but you just said on Instagram or you said on
- 44:45Speaker 1: social media that you're like over talking about your personal
- 44:48Speaker 1: life on social media. But now you're just gonna move
- 44:50Speaker 1: it to no no, no, no, no no no. I'm
- 44:53Speaker 1: not talking about I'll talk about my personal life. I'm
- 44:55Speaker 1: not talking about my relationships. So okay, that's okay. I'm
- 45:02Speaker 1: not talking about the individuals. They will be they will
- 45:05Speaker 1: remain nameless unless okay, yeah, So what happens if you
- 45:14Speaker 1: get into another prof high profile relationship. First off, you guys,
- 45:18Speaker 1: she you probably got on the Housewives because you were
- 45:22Speaker 1: married to baseball player Jim Edmonds. Um, that's what I said.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Andy's insists that that's not the case. But really, seriously,
- 45:32Speaker 1: like what does he Why does he say you got
- 45:33Speaker 1: on the Housewives? He said that I got on because
- 45:35Speaker 1: I'm me and I have had an interesting life, and
- 45:37Speaker 1: I I was like, okay, okay. And then and then
- 45:42Speaker 1: over the fall, you married Kuff biden Owens and that
- 45:48Speaker 1: was Um, that's the nephew of the president and yes,
- 45:51Speaker 1: you guys are married for a month, so maybe too,
- 45:56Speaker 1: maybe too? And is it officially an old chip? Oh yeah, Okay,
- 46:01Speaker 1: how did you get it annulled? Because that's a little
- 46:03Speaker 1: a challenging. I don't know, you just like so you
- 46:05Speaker 1: just call a lawyer and you say I want to
- 46:07Speaker 1: annull this, and then a judge signs it. I don't know.
- 46:12Speaker 1: I thought it was a catholic churn. Pay your bill
- 46:14Speaker 1: and then you know, so you can get it legally
- 46:17Speaker 1: annulled as well. And I think all that really means
- 46:18Speaker 1: in terms of the law is that there's no property
- 46:20Speaker 1: to be split up kind of thing. Okay, it's just
- 46:23Speaker 1: as if it never existed. So my bottom line here is, Megan,
- 46:27Speaker 1: how are you going to keep the men that you're
- 46:29Speaker 1: in these relationships with anonymous? If they're all high profile?
- 46:33Speaker 1: They're not all high profiles. I really I haven't. I've
- 46:37Speaker 1: tried to not date anyone who's high profile because I
- 46:41Speaker 1: think because I was with a professional baseball player who
- 46:45Speaker 1: is a celebrity in his own right, I um, I
- 46:49Speaker 1: saw him not feel comfortable with the sharing of the
- 46:52Speaker 1: spotlight in that way, and so I think there's something
- 46:56Speaker 1: kind of deeply like subconscious happening here where I out
- 47:00Speaker 1: to people who aren't in the spotlight but still sort
- 47:03Speaker 1: of high profile where they can understand my life a
- 47:07Speaker 1: little bit, but they're very private, like the best, Like
- 47:09Speaker 1: the smaller social media presence the better in my opinion.
- 47:12Speaker 1: But after having gone on this date with Mike Johnson,
- 47:15Speaker 1: oh wait a minute, I start so far as time
- 47:21Speaker 1: I went on date like that with anybody who's in
- 47:23Speaker 1: the public eye. You have wanted to be set up
- 47:26Speaker 1: by somebody through the I Heart team for a while now,
- 47:30Speaker 1: and then they chose Mike for you personally, and they
- 47:34Speaker 1: kind of set up for you guys to meet at
- 47:35Speaker 1: the I Heart Awards, which if we're going to be
- 47:38Speaker 1: open and honest about all things for relationship with you,
- 47:40Speaker 1: and I appreciate it because that's far you have. It
- 47:43Speaker 1: happened to be on like the weekend in which your
- 47:47Speaker 1: ex husband got married. Was there some timing to this? No?
- 47:50Speaker 1: Absolutely not. Also, it was my birthday weekend, so if
- 47:53Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about stealing spotlights, talk about who got
- 47:57Speaker 1: married on my birthday? Okay, this good stuff. I'm enjoying
- 48:02Speaker 1: this interview. I'm just gonna sit back and watch this.
- 48:04Speaker 1: I did not married. I did not know it was
- 48:07Speaker 1: your birth we did, we did take a shot. Um,
- 48:10Speaker 1: I wish i'd known your birthday. We could have saying
- 48:13Speaker 1: to you, but I'm glad we didn't. Well, there's time
- 48:16Speaker 1: to make up for that. Okay, But let's go back
- 48:19Speaker 1: to Mike Johnson. Now, so you're saying the timing was coincidental,
- 48:22Speaker 1: but you guys did have your first real date in Vegas.
- 48:27Speaker 1: What would you do? Um? We said a lot of things.
- 48:31Speaker 1: We um we I don't know. It was so awkward,
- 48:35Speaker 1: you guys, I felt like, honestly, I felt like what
- 48:38Speaker 1: it might feel like to be on the Bachelor, because
- 48:40Speaker 1: it was like a forced date in a really cool
- 48:43Speaker 1: environment with high intense and energy, and like it was
- 48:47Speaker 1: just a lot of fun. But then we're also trying
- 48:49Speaker 1: to get to know each other in this kind of
- 48:51Speaker 1: fantasy land, you know, type of um evening, and then
- 48:55Speaker 1: we end up at a strip club, which is not
- 48:57Speaker 1: you're not going to find on the Bachelor. So we
- 49:00Speaker 1: had to mix it up for intimate knowledge my podcast
- 49:02Speaker 1: in that way. And I didn't know that Mike is
- 49:05Speaker 1: a sex coach, so I thought that may be going
- 49:08Speaker 1: and we all didn't know Mike was a sex guy.
- 49:10Speaker 1: I did. When I did an interview with him, he
- 49:12Speaker 1: told me he was a sex coach. I said, explain yourself.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I don't know what that is, but I'm interested in
- 49:17Speaker 1: learning more. It's like an intimacy coach. So it's I
- 49:22Speaker 1: think it's a therapist, but for intimacy. So what did
- 49:26Speaker 1: he teach you anything specifically at the strip club or
- 49:30Speaker 1: or throughout the whole weekend? Oh my god, what did
- 49:36Speaker 1: he teach you? Is the question actually asked. I mean,
- 49:40Speaker 1: there was moments of fogginess in that long weekend. I
- 49:43Speaker 1: think I slept like two hours. But I mean, you know,
- 49:47Speaker 1: we this was kind of an experiment, experimental setup, and
- 49:51Speaker 1: it turned out to be something more than that. And
- 49:55Speaker 1: we really get into it on intimate knowledge on the
- 49:58Speaker 1: podcast because the day after our first date, the two
- 50:01Speaker 1: of us sat down and we downloaded on our first date,
- 50:04Speaker 1: which is not something that happens. I mean downloaded. We discussed, okay,
- 50:09Speaker 1: an episode, you record an episode, right, Yeah, we we
- 50:12Speaker 1: recording an episode of instant knowledge. But it was weird
- 50:15Speaker 1: to kind of like sit there with this guy they
- 50:17Speaker 1: went on a first date with and be like, well,
- 50:19Speaker 1: we kissed and like talk about that in front of him.
- 50:23Speaker 1: It was so awkward, but that's what we did, so
- 50:26Speaker 1: all of those details came out. That took We did
- 50:29Speaker 1: that episode with Champagne because we needed some liquid courage.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Did do you feel like it was I mean, obviously
- 50:35Speaker 1: it was an uncomfortable exercise. Do you feel like it
- 50:38Speaker 1: was at all healthy to sit down the day after
- 50:40Speaker 1: a set up blind day? Obviously the date went well.
- 50:43Speaker 1: I will say, as a by standard, I did not
- 50:47Speaker 1: know you guys were on a set up date, but
- 50:49Speaker 1: I did recognize it. As soon as you walked into
- 50:51Speaker 1: the room, Mike head turned focused on you, and then
- 50:56Speaker 1: you two were together all evening, talking, laughing. You know,
- 51:01Speaker 1: it wasn't like, all right, we have this date to
- 51:03Speaker 1: go on now, like you enjoyed each other's company. It
- 51:05Speaker 1: looked like, yeah, I am going to ask you about that. Actually,
- 51:10Speaker 1: what we're gonna ask. I was gonna ask, you know,
- 51:12Speaker 1: as a bystandard, what did you think? Like? What was
- 51:14Speaker 1: our body language saying? Because I felt really comfortable. Well,
- 51:17Speaker 1: initially I leaned over at Bob Guinea, Chris Harrison and
- 51:20Speaker 1: Jason and I said, wow, Mike is really into Megan.
- 51:24Speaker 1: That was my first comment about the evening because I
- 51:26Speaker 1: saw you guys in the corner at our little cocktail party.
- 51:29Speaker 1: You guys are just kind of chilling together. And then
- 51:32Speaker 1: I think at some point somebody on the team goes, yeah,
- 51:35Speaker 1: this is a set up blind date for them. They're
- 51:37Speaker 1: going on a blind date. And I said, oh, okay,
- 51:39Speaker 1: so this isn't like just a first interaction. I think
- 51:42Speaker 1: you're attractive, you think I'm attractive. Um, that's go on
- 51:45Speaker 1: a date. No, you guys are set up. But it
- 51:46Speaker 1: looked like that there was chemistry. There was, Yeah, it did.
- 51:51Speaker 1: I mean we hung out all weekend. We'd up hanging
- 51:53Speaker 1: out all weekend. There was definite chemistry. We um. I
- 51:57Speaker 1: mean we got a long grade and it was really
- 51:59Speaker 1: fun to be on the red carpet with a date.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Who is in that world? I mean, you guys both know,
- 52:07Speaker 1: but I don't. I've never done that before, and um,
- 52:10Speaker 1: it was just a lot more fun. It just made
- 52:12Speaker 1: the whole experience less worky and more like just enjoyable.
- 52:17Speaker 1: That's great. Well, I did bring me to my question, though,
- 52:19Speaker 1: I do want to ask this, Ashley, is um recording
- 52:22Speaker 1: the episode the next day then, um, twenty four hours
- 52:25Speaker 1: I'm assuming after meeting him or a little last probably
- 52:29Speaker 1: already in the tabloids at that point. Yeah, I know,
- 52:31Speaker 1: I saw I woke up in the morning. I saw
- 52:33Speaker 1: you guys downstairs at breakfast. I said, I did reading
- 52:36Speaker 1: on you this morning. Yeah, it was nice, guys, just
- 52:39Speaker 1: see some interesting videos. It was a good way to
- 52:41Speaker 1: wake up. Um and uh, do you feel like it
- 52:44Speaker 1: was a healthy exercise to break down the date the
- 52:46Speaker 1: way you did? Do you recommend it to people? Was
- 52:49Speaker 1: it awkward? Did it feel like it added tension? Or
- 52:51Speaker 1: was it like good to say, hey, we want a
- 52:52Speaker 1: date last night. Let's talk about the good, the bad,
- 52:54Speaker 1: the ugly, what we enjoyed, what we didn't. Did you
- 52:57Speaker 1: enjoy that exercise? I mean that's a great question. I
- 52:59Speaker 1: would say, oh, are all I think it was a
- 53:01Speaker 1: good idea, just because community communication direct communication is never
- 53:04Speaker 1: a bad idea. But like the timing of it, less
- 53:07Speaker 1: than twelve hours later, it was little soon, A little soon.
- 53:11Speaker 1: I mean, I feel like, get a few dates under
- 53:13Speaker 1: your under your bell and then maybe talk about it
- 53:16Speaker 1: in the ways that we did. But at the same time,
- 53:19Speaker 1: it's like, I mean, we're both grown ups. What happened happened,
- 53:23Speaker 1: And like let's get on the same page. But so
- 53:27Speaker 1: we're being clear right now, it's basically, um like a
- 53:30Speaker 1: publicity stunt for the podcast, or at least it was.
- 53:35Speaker 1: It was set up together for this weekend so that
- 53:37Speaker 1: you would have content to talk about on your on
- 53:39Speaker 1: the launch of the podcast BINGO. That's exactly what it was. However,
- 53:43Speaker 1: it didn't end up that way, and I was hoping
- 53:46Speaker 1: that it wouldn't end up that way. I was hoping
- 53:48Speaker 1: that it would finally be this the setup that I've
- 53:51Speaker 1: been begging, aiming and Danielle to set me up with
- 53:54Speaker 1: somebody for years and finally, you know, here's Mike. But
- 53:58Speaker 1: um so I was hoping that there would be good connection.
- 54:00Speaker 1: But um yeah, more than anything, it was like, let's
- 54:03Speaker 1: just see you know what happens with the podcast. But
- 54:06Speaker 1: I mean I talked to him this morning. He's in
- 54:08Speaker 1: l A. He's he's working in l A today, Like
- 54:11Speaker 1: we're hanging out, we're talking. I was gonna say, I
- 54:14Speaker 1: saw that you both came out, or maybe you came
- 54:16Speaker 1: out publicly and said hey, um we're friends, which could
- 54:19Speaker 1: be true, but I I was going to argue with
- 54:22Speaker 1: you where I didn't see something spark there. I was there.
- 54:27Speaker 1: I saw the sparks, I saw the glitter, I saw
- 54:30Speaker 1: the shimmer in the eyes. Um. And so I was
- 54:32Speaker 1: gonna say you could be friends now, but like, are
- 54:36Speaker 1: you giving up on the idea of going on another date? No,
- 54:40Speaker 1: not at all. And I'm actually he lives in Austin.
- 54:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna be going I'm going to Austin for something
- 54:45Speaker 1: else in a couple of weeks. So I hope to
- 54:46Speaker 1: see him. Um, yeah, I don't. I mean there was
- 54:51Speaker 1: there was definitely a great connection there. And um, I
- 54:55Speaker 1: mean when something you know, there's a good connection like that,
- 54:57Speaker 1: you just don't let it pass by when you're single woman,
- 55:01Speaker 1: did you did you have a say and who that
- 55:03Speaker 1: they were going to set you up with? Like did
- 55:04Speaker 1: you give them your type? Um? Did you are you
- 55:07Speaker 1: a Bachelor fan? Did you want somebody from the franchise?
- 55:11Speaker 1: I wanted somebody who I was interested in, somebody who
- 55:15Speaker 1: was known. Um, but that's that's it. So it's not
- 55:19Speaker 1: it's not a bacheloring. I really don't even watch TV
- 55:22Speaker 1: and so, um, yeah, it wasn't about that. It was
- 55:26Speaker 1: And then we were kind of brainstorming for a minute, Well,
- 55:28Speaker 1: who's who should we ask and then um, Danielle said, well,
- 55:32Speaker 1: what about Mike Johnson. And I was like, oh, my gosh,
- 55:34Speaker 1: he's good looking. So he's a big dude. He's like,
- 55:38Speaker 1: he's huge, He's huge. I'm a tall guy. I told
- 55:40Speaker 1: him that when he walked down, and was like, you
- 55:42Speaker 1: just make me feel tiny, like because he's like, he's
- 55:45Speaker 1: like big, muscular and tall. Yeah, the biceps of the
- 55:48Speaker 1: size of my quads. We were walking when we were
- 55:51Speaker 1: walking together, everybody's like looking straight up because I'm five eleven.
- 55:54Speaker 1: They're like, yeah, he's this tall. And I wearing heels too,
- 55:57Speaker 1: So I was like amazony, uh, Well, to finish out
- 56:01Speaker 1: this this interview here one, it was great to be
- 56:04Speaker 1: with you in Vegas. It was great to see and
- 56:06Speaker 1: and be with you off and on. You were working
- 56:09Speaker 1: hard and you were busy, um, and so we didn't
- 56:12Speaker 1: get the necessarily time I wanted to ask you about
- 56:15Speaker 1: this project. We talked a little bit at the beginning
- 56:17Speaker 1: of this interview about the Intimate Knowledge podcast, Um, the
- 56:21Speaker 1: relaunch of this for fans out there listening. Now, Okay,
- 56:26Speaker 1: give you a little bit of I'm probably sharing too
- 56:29Speaker 1: much personally. My wife, right, not a secret was a
- 56:32Speaker 1: virgin when we got married, UM listened to a lot
- 56:36Speaker 1: of like podcast and listen to a lot of things
- 56:39Speaker 1: to like, you know, understand and to learn, you know,
- 56:41Speaker 1: before we got married, and those tools were very helpful
- 56:46Speaker 1: in our marriage. They still are to this day. Hearing
- 56:48Speaker 1: from other people, hearing about other married couples, hearing how
- 56:51Speaker 1: they you know, they work through life. Once you get
- 56:54Speaker 1: a year in the marriage, and maybe it's not as
- 56:56Speaker 1: exciting as it was the first couple of weeks, and so, UM,
- 57:00Speaker 1: I'm really appreciative for for projects like yours, But for
- 57:05Speaker 1: fans that they're listening, Uh, can you give them a
- 57:07Speaker 1: sales pitch? Like what why would they want to listen
- 57:10Speaker 1: to it? What are they going to learn from it?
- 57:11Speaker 1: What are they going to gain? Who do you hope
- 57:12Speaker 1: listens take it away? I think it's kind of like
- 57:15Speaker 1: what you were saying about with your wife. You know,
- 57:17Speaker 1: it's a way, It's a good way to gather information.
- 57:19Speaker 1: And I'm a woman who's been married. I know what
- 57:22Speaker 1: it's like to work through a marriage, to then go
- 57:24Speaker 1: through divorce, to have children and date while having children,
- 57:27Speaker 1: to date without having children before I had kids too,
- 57:31Speaker 1: So I feel like I'm no expert on dating and
- 57:35Speaker 1: sex and intimacy, but I do have a lot of
- 57:38Speaker 1: experience in it, and as you know, a mom from
- 57:42Speaker 1: the middle of America who's thirty eight years old and
- 57:45Speaker 1: in the dating world. Again, I don't think that I'm
- 57:48Speaker 1: alone in that, you know description, but I do think
- 57:52Speaker 1: I'm alone in the way that we just don't speak
- 57:54Speaker 1: about it openly enough. And so when people come to
- 57:58Speaker 1: my podcast, they're going to laugh, and they're gonna they're
- 58:01Speaker 1: gonna say, oh, my gosh, I can't believe she just
- 58:03Speaker 1: said that. They're going to put their kids to bed,
- 58:05Speaker 1: and then they're gonna listen. And I think that what
- 58:08Speaker 1: I want is to just keep an open dialogue about
- 58:12Speaker 1: being comfortable within our sexuality, laughing at our sexuality and
- 58:17Speaker 1: sex and intimacy when it's appropriate, like making light of it,
- 58:20Speaker 1: but also finding the how the sanctity in sex and
- 58:26Speaker 1: intimacy as well, and knowing that you can have all
- 58:29Speaker 1: of it. It's kind of just what are you looking
- 58:31Speaker 1: for and and um, how do you achieve that? So
- 58:35Speaker 1: we're gonna have a lot of fun guests on and
- 58:37Speaker 1: a lot of crazy dating stories, and if you listen
- 58:40Speaker 1: to this episode out right now you're gonna find out
- 58:43Speaker 1: literally the dirty details about Mike and I. Yes, well
- 58:48Speaker 1: that's the best tease ever. All right, guys, to go
- 58:52Speaker 1: and listen to it. It's intimate Knowledge. It's a new
- 58:56Speaker 1: or it's a rebooted I Heart Radio podcast with Megga King.
- 59:00Speaker 1: I can't thank you for doing this project. I have
- 59:05Speaker 1: listened to an episode yet I don't know where it's
- 59:06Speaker 1: gonna go, but I will say this here almost famous.
- 59:10Speaker 1: We celebrate anybody that's willing to be vulnerable, authentic and
- 59:13Speaker 1: maybe cross the line a little bit to help other
- 59:16Speaker 1: people feel less alone. And no matter what, I bet
- 59:20Speaker 1: somebody's gonna listen to your podcast and say, hey, maybe
- 59:22Speaker 1: I'm not crazy, Maybe I'm not alone in this. Maybe
- 59:25Speaker 1: my desires or my ideas for marriage and sex and
- 59:29Speaker 1: intimacy have made me feel weird my whole life. And
- 59:33Speaker 1: Megan's helping me feel less alone and that matters. Go
- 59:38Speaker 1: listen to it now, It Knowledge with Mean King. Thanks guys, Hey,
- 59:52Speaker 1: shake shack, thank you. You're always coming through in the clutch.
- 59:56Speaker 1: No matter where I'm at in live, no matter what
- 59:58Speaker 1: I'm doing, it's all He's always filling me up, tasting
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: good and giving me the energy I need well at
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: festival this last weekend, shake check Fetis and I just
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: want to say personally, thank you for doing that. You
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: made so many people smile. It's time for bachelor headlines.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: First headline. We've been teasing it, well, you've been talking
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: about it. Bachelor's Peter Webber and Kelly Flannagan are full
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: on back together after sparking romance rumors. They're both happy this.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: According to US Weekly, still can't get over this. I
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: still think it's hilariously awesome. I still think they have
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: the most fiery, passionate relationship. But I can't believe. I
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: can't imagine what it's like buying closed doors and how
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: anybody can get back together after all the things they
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: study each other about each other in the public. But
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: it is Kelly and Peter, and they are back together fully.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: According to an insider, said that they were kindled the
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: romance this summer and haven't spending a lot of time
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: together since they us been planning fun dates and they
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: have a lot of fun together. Peter wants to be
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: in a serious, committed relationship and his feelings for Kelly
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: never went away. The source says they're both happy and
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: looking forward to where things go this time around. I
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: want to know what's going on with all this stuff
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: that was said after they broke up, Like what how
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: do you how do you get over that? I mean,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I'm sure you can, right course, nothing was like brutal,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: but like they know, like there was that insinuation that
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: like he wasn't a real man. Yeah, I wouldn't enjoy
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: being was crazy. But I wonder if they were always
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: in touch a little bit where it was like, really,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: did you really just say that? You know? I wonder
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: if I was ever like playful when they were saying
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: things like that to each other. I don't think so.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: I think they really disliked each other because they loved
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: each other so much. SA fiery passion read like this
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: is a quick little headline here, uh that we don't
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: have to cover a lot of I just think it's
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: great lace. Morris wonders why she's not being pursued as
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: she fakes birthday attention on Paradise. This according to People, Well,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: so people got this exclusive clip, and now if you
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: want to talk more about what you know, how they
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: handled last night is basically these are just some funny
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: quotes from her because I feel hopeless in Paradise. Right now,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I'm the prettiest I've ever been, Like, how am I
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: not being pursued? It blows my mind. I love what
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: I wish I had that confidence, Like you know, I
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: guess nowadays it wouldn't do me much good. But back
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: in the day, when I was single in England, I
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: wish I could walk into a bar and be like,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: how how is everybody in here not focused on me?
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Like I'm feeling good? But I will admit that in
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: my stints in Paradise I have thought similar things. I'd
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: be like, I'm so confused. I'm fun, I feel really pretty,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I look great. I don't know why nobody wants to
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: date me. I'm so confused. So this is just Lace
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: saying it, and I love her for saying it over too,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: for saying it is one of my favorites. I love
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: watching her. Uh. Jesse Palmer reveals which celebs he wants
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: to see on Bachelor. He wants to see Drake, which
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: is a total long shot, and then he says, Lindsey
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Vaughn is newly single. She heard that she was dating
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: p K seven, who don't do know who that is yeah. Um,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: but apparently it's just kind of like casual. He's met
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: her before. I thinks she's lovely, so he's like, yeah,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: I have nothing serious with Lindsey von And that would
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: be a cool choice. It would be Lindsey Vonn will
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: be great. That girl, she's my She's my hero. How
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: many a c l surges she had? I only have three.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I bet she has like five. That and she's still
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: functioning at a high level. Nutty, nutty, but awesome. That'd
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: be cool. Bachelor's Clayton Eckert and Susie Evans. This was
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: surprising to me split. It was when they came on
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: our podcast. I left it and I said, I feel
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: like she is such an important person in his life,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: like the way that he talked about her, Like Susie's
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: there to support me when I was done. I mean,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: maybe that's not a great signs. That felt kind of
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: one sided when they were on. But I'm surprised that
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: they split now. There was obviously some hints that things
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: were not going well in Paradise. You know, they were
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: moving separately after living together. Um yeah, I did did
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: post an ad like two days before the announcement of
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: the breakup, so somehow they were still working together get
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: the money in. We'll post this first and then we
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: will split. I just knew that they had to work
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: too hard at that relationship too early on. Of course,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: they had big hurdles, you know, coming off this season. Uh,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: but I do believe that, like so many Batchelor couples
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: have overcome hurdles, and those are very overcome herble. But
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: I just want to I just like when they you're
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: interviewing them, but I'm not sure if you're here. The
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: second time we had them, but I was like, oh,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: these two, like everything is a struggle, like everyday, serious conversations,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: and when you're six months and you should just be
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: having a blast. Yeah, you should be having fun show.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: You should be having serious conversations, but you should also
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: be having a blast. It shouldn't be about the show
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: brings a different element, right it does, But they just
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: had to work so hard. Maybe this will be a
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Peter and Kelly reunion at some point, wouldn't that be
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: fancy and fun? We can cover it right here on
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: almost Famous. But for right now, Clayton and Susie are done.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: They're moving forward, uh, in their own separate directions. Well, uh,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: let's I think it's gonna be be the final headline
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: maybe one or two here, but Haley reveals she lied
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: to Becca Tilly about her Bachelor Nation fandom. At first.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: This is so good, so cute. Okay, So Haley was
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: a huge Bachelor fan, but when she met Becca for
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: the first time, she was like, oh, yeah, what season
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: are you from? And she very much knew what season's
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Becca was from, said that she was one of her
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: favorites all the year season and on Christmas season, but
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: she just tried to play cool like she wasn't a
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: big fan, and then later had to admit like, I
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: totally lied to you and knew exactly wh were and
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I was always having fun watching you. Uh so they were.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: They were in Vegas as well. Very cute couple love
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Becca Tilly. Haley is very sweet. Um, It's just a
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: cool little story to in in the day. On Well Ashley.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: We're back next week with another episode of the Almost
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Famous podcast, breaking down episode two of Bachelor in Paradise.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: But until then, I've been Ashley. See you guys. Followed
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: the Bennon Ashley I Almost Famous podcast on iHeart Radio
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: or subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts,
