- 0:02Speaker 1: I got me fired up. Maybe I'll get the Phillies
- 0:15Speaker 1: fired up. Ben Davis joining us right now. You can
- 0:17Speaker 1: hear them all over TV coverage of the Phillies on
- 0:20Speaker 1: NBC Sports Philly.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Bang.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Great to see you, man.
- 0:22Speaker 1: How would you describe the first few weeks here for
- 0:25Speaker 1: fighting Phils how they feeling?
- 0:27Speaker 2: I would say consistently inconsistent. It's it's been frustrating. But
- 0:35Speaker 2: as I said on one of the pregames shows the
- 0:37Speaker 2: other day, I said, I'm driving to the ballpark and
- 0:40Speaker 2: none of the trees still have leads, don't have leaves
- 0:42Speaker 2: on them yet. So I'm not really pressed to the
- 0:45Speaker 2: panic button as of yet. But I know they're a
- 0:48Speaker 2: little frustrated as well. But I do think it's it's
- 0:52Speaker 2: obviously in there. It's just a matter of time before
- 0:54Speaker 2: they get it going again.
- 0:56Speaker 4: So when do you start lifting the lid to prep
- 1:00Speaker 4: press the panic button? Because you live in the area,
- 1:03Speaker 4: you live in the area, and I live in the area,
- 1:05Speaker 4: and I know you get you know, amen, you know,
- 1:08Speaker 4: what do you really think about the Phillies Klaus Schwarber.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I can't believe he's getting paid one hunter. That's so
- 1:13Speaker 3: much money. I don't I don't like it. I don't
- 1:15Speaker 3: think the Phillies are any good anymore.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you get it everywhere you go. And you know,
- 1:20Speaker 2: I can understand the fans frustration. They see the big contracts,
- 1:23Speaker 2: they see for how many more years they are under
- 1:26Speaker 2: contract with the Phillies, and it irks them, and it's
- 1:29Speaker 2: it's understandable. They are fans for a reason. But I
- 1:33Speaker 2: look at it and I just tell them, hey, guys,
- 1:35Speaker 2: just have patience. It's just a matter of time. This
- 1:37Speaker 2: lineup will get it going. The starting pitcher. They're going
- 1:41Speaker 2: to get Zach Wheeler back very soon, a lot sooner
- 1:44Speaker 2: than we thought. So this is a good thing for
- 1:47Speaker 2: the Phillies. This bullpen, I think is going to be
- 1:49Speaker 2: something that's going to be reckoned with, you know, definitely
- 1:52Speaker 2: in the National League. And I think they put together
- 1:55Speaker 2: some some big arms in the back of that bullpen,
- 1:57Speaker 2: and you know, it's definitely as a pot. But with
- 2:01Speaker 2: regards to the lineup, you know, these guys, Kallas Weber
- 2:04Speaker 2: said the best, you know, don't really get so caught
- 2:06Speaker 2: up with the results right now. Just get you know,
- 2:08Speaker 2: worry about the process and how you go about your
- 2:10Speaker 2: business day in and day out, and how you achieve
- 2:13Speaker 2: those results is through the process. And I've said this
- 2:16Speaker 2: numerous times over the last four or five years. This
- 2:19Speaker 2: is the most professional baseball club I've ever been around.
- 2:23Speaker 2: The professionals in that clubhouse, they get there so early,
- 2:26Speaker 2: they prepare, the way they go about their business. They
- 2:28Speaker 2: just don't throw their bats and their balls and their
- 2:30Speaker 2: gloves out on the field and expect to win. These
- 2:32Speaker 2: guys expect to win because of their process and how
- 2:35Speaker 2: they prepare for their work every night. And it's something
- 2:38Speaker 2: really to be admired. I notice it every time I'm
- 2:40Speaker 2: in the clubhouse, and the way they go about their
- 2:43Speaker 2: business really is something else.
- 2:45Speaker 5: So you're telling me back in Sarasota in spring training,
- 2:49Speaker 5: we weren't that professional. In the locker room over there,
- 2:53Speaker 5: I don't they said, time's.
- 2:57Speaker 2: These guys actually run around the clubous whipping each other
- 3:01Speaker 2: to a wet tail.
- 3:02Speaker 5: So some of my fathers, Oh my god, anyway you
- 3:07Speaker 5: brought you brought up Zach Wheeler. Uh, talk a little
- 3:10Speaker 5: about him and what you expect from him coming up.
- 3:14Speaker 5: There's been talking about speed and everything else. He looked
- 3:16Speaker 5: pretty good the other day, you know, facing Scranton Wilke.
- 3:19Speaker 5: So talk about him and you know what you see
- 3:22Speaker 5: from him and how soon you'll see him back.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Well, first and foremost, I am glad that they were
- 3:27Speaker 2: able to find find what they found at blood clot
- 3:29Speaker 2: last year when they did, because you know, this is
- 3:32Speaker 2: more than just a baseball player with a great arm.
- 3:34Speaker 2: This is a guy. He's a family guy. He's just
- 3:37Speaker 2: a wonderful human being. And I'm glad they were able
- 3:39Speaker 2: to knit that in the butty and get it. And
- 3:41Speaker 2: then the fact that he's actually pitching and and close
- 3:44Speaker 2: to being back is huge because we didn't think it
- 3:47Speaker 2: would be this soon at all. So this is a
- 3:50Speaker 2: great thing. I know some folks are a little concerned
- 3:53Speaker 2: with the velocity. I understand that, you know, two starts go,
- 3:57Speaker 2: he's ninety two, ninety three. We're used to seeing him
- 3:59Speaker 2: at ninety six, and I get that. I understand the
- 4:02Speaker 2: concern there. But his last one, I think it was
- 4:05Speaker 2: a couple of day last yes, last night, or day before.
- 4:08Speaker 2: He was ninety four ninety five, and it's he's going
- 4:11Speaker 2: to get that velocity back. And you know, his breaking
- 4:14Speaker 2: stuff has looked really good. His curveballs look sharp, which
- 4:18Speaker 2: he doesn't throw all that often. But I've seen some
- 4:20Speaker 2: good highlights of that. So yeah, I think just anytime
- 4:24Speaker 2: he can add someone of Zach Wheeler's ilk back into
- 4:27Speaker 2: the rotation, it's only going to help you club out,
- 4:30Speaker 2: all right.
- 4:30Speaker 3: But is he the still the ace?
- 4:33Speaker 4: Is he still the de facto ace in this rotation
- 4:36Speaker 4: based on what Christopher Sanchez has done?
- 4:40Speaker 2: I'm going to say yes. And I love Christopher Sanchez
- 4:42Speaker 2: that what he has overcome, you know, riding that shuttle
- 4:46Speaker 2: back and forth, back and forth and becoming one of
- 4:49Speaker 2: the best pitchers in all of baseball, not in the
- 4:52Speaker 2: National League, in all of baseball, this guy. But I
- 4:55Speaker 2: think anytime you have a Zach Wheeler on the mound,
- 4:58Speaker 2: you know, that's the guy I'm going to give the
- 4:59Speaker 2: ball to Game seven the World Series, He's going to
- 5:01Speaker 2: get the ball from me. Not saying anything against uh Sanchi,
- 5:05Speaker 2: but Sanchez is you know, I would say he's the
- 5:08Speaker 2: facto ace if you want to put it. He could be,
- 5:11Speaker 2: you know, one B in that rotation, but he's uh,
- 5:16Speaker 2: he's been great and that you know, you'd be hard
- 5:18Speaker 2: pressed to find a better one two punch in all
- 5:20Speaker 2: of baseball.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Do you see any concern with the cleanup hitters. I
- 5:25Speaker 5: know there's been talks about down basement slugging, slugging percentage combined,
- 5:28Speaker 5: it hasn't been there. Are you concerned about that at all?
- 5:32Speaker 5: Or you just see this kind of even itself out
- 5:34Speaker 5: as the season goes on.
- 5:37Speaker 2: No, I do see it as a concern because if
- 5:40Speaker 2: no one's hitting behind Bryce, he's not gonna get a
- 5:42Speaker 2: whole lot to hit. We all know that Alec Bohm
- 5:45Speaker 2: was my guy to be that four hole, and everyone
- 5:48Speaker 2: here is all he doesn't hit home runs. He doesn't
- 5:50Speaker 2: do this. He does Alex Film has been you know
- 5:53Speaker 2: what you're gonna get out him. I know he's struggling
- 5:55Speaker 2: right now and they have moved him way down the lap.
- 5:58Speaker 2: He actually didn't even get to start last night in
- 6:00Speaker 2: Mundo Sosa got to start at third base. But Alec Bohm,
- 6:03Speaker 2: you can, the guy that hits for average and drives
- 6:06Speaker 2: guys in can play on my team any day of
- 6:08Speaker 2: the league. I don't care if he hits ten to
- 6:10Speaker 2: fifteen home runs. If you're driving close to one hundred
- 6:13Speaker 2: runs every year and he bat two eighty to two ninety,
- 6:16Speaker 2: you can play on my baseball team. And that's what
- 6:17Speaker 2: Alc bolm has done. Now, he has not done that
- 6:20Speaker 2: at all this year. We all know about the off
- 6:23Speaker 2: field stuff that he's got going on, and I think
- 6:25Speaker 2: that is playing a huge part in his performance on
- 6:29Speaker 2: the field right now. That's a lot to handle for
- 6:31Speaker 2: a young man, especially when it concerns your family. Not
- 6:34Speaker 2: making excuses, but there's something going on. He's just he's
- 6:37Speaker 2: really lost right now at the plate. I hope he
- 6:40Speaker 2: finds it soon because I think he can be that
- 6:42Speaker 2: presence behind Bryce Harper in the lineup to really, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 2: make sure that Bryce gets pitches to hit because if not,
- 6:49Speaker 2: you know, I know, Brandon marsh is filled in and
- 6:51Speaker 2: he's done okay. But if you get a team you
- 6:55Speaker 2: know that have some lefties, that's going to be an
- 6:57Speaker 2: issue having you know, Harper and Mark in the lineup
- 7:00Speaker 2: back to back lefties in that situation. So JT has
- 7:04Speaker 2: tried to do it. JT has not done it as
- 7:06Speaker 2: well has he done in other spots in the lineup.
- 7:09Speaker 2: So yeah, it is a concern of mine, that's for sure. Kratz.
- 7:15Speaker 1: The world has a cord problem wires everywhere. It's twenty
- 7:19Speaker 1: twenty six, and it is time to get a ridge wallet.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Five and one.
- 7:25Speaker 4: It's not a wallet, it's a charger. Look at this thing.
- 7:28Speaker 4: It sticks to your phone. You push the button. Its
- 7:30Speaker 4: charges your phone while you can charge two different items
- 7:34Speaker 4: at the same time.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Oh and don't forget while it's charging.
- 7:38Speaker 4: You got a little a little lean to John that'll
- 7:42Speaker 4: help it sit right there.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Appreciate your Ridge wallet.
- 7:44Speaker 1: This is so nice, which is great for me. If
- 7:47Speaker 1: I'm at the airport, I'm watching a game, I can
- 7:49Speaker 1: charge five devices and then I can just watch something
- 7:52Speaker 1: on the phone. Of course they still have the wallets
- 7:53Speaker 1: that are money too, and we know the code. It's
- 7:55Speaker 1: nice and simple. It's foul foul. One thing to pack.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I have waste of power. You can find Ridge's power
- 8:02Speaker 1: bank at best Buy or our listeners can get ten
- 8:04Speaker 1: percent off at ridge dot com by using code foul
- 8:07Speaker 1: at checkout. Head to Ridge dot com use code foul
- 8:09Speaker 1: and you're all set. After your purchase, they'll ask you
- 8:11Speaker 1: where you heard about him. Please support ft until them
- 8:14Speaker 1: we sent you.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Have you been in the clubhouse this year? I know
- 8:17Speaker 4: the season is new, I'm not sure if you've done
- 8:19Speaker 4: any of the games, or if you're just across the street.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Have you been in the clubhouse?
- 8:22Speaker 3: This year.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I have not been into this year. I'll be in
- 8:26Speaker 2: there on Friday. I'll be doing the game from the
- 8:27Speaker 2: dugout on Friday, but I'll get in there and talk
- 8:30Speaker 2: to some of the guys.
- 8:32Speaker 4: The reason I ask is because about the stuff with Boem.
- 8:35Speaker 4: You say how professional this team is, but they're also
- 8:38Speaker 4: a super close knit group. Is there any way like
- 8:41Speaker 4: these guys like can surround him in this time or
- 8:45Speaker 4: is there I've never I've never been on a team
- 8:48Speaker 4: where you know, that kind of stuff came out until
- 8:51Speaker 4: you know one of the other Phillies players that kind
- 8:53Speaker 4: of stuff came out when I was playing with them.
- 8:54Speaker 4: And so is this a team that comes around each
- 8:58Speaker 4: other or are they just professional on the field and
- 9:01Speaker 4: that is it?
- 9:02Speaker 3: No.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I think I think they definitely are trying to console
- 9:06Speaker 2: him personally, and you know, hopefully they can get the
- 9:12Speaker 2: onfield stuff back to where he can be and be
- 9:15Speaker 2: that productive player. But I think it's it's a very
- 9:18Speaker 2: family like atmosphere in that clubhouse that has been like
- 9:21Speaker 2: that for years now, And it starts at Rob Thompson
- 9:24Speaker 2: at the top and his coaching staff. They're they're absolutely awesome.
- 9:27Speaker 2: But I think, yeah, this is this This is way
- 9:29Speaker 2: beyond baseball, all the personal stuff that he's going through
- 9:31Speaker 2: right now, and I think they're they're trying to embrace
- 9:33Speaker 2: Alec and get him back to where he can be,
- 9:36Speaker 2: you know, emotionally and and from a physicality standpoint on
- 9:40Speaker 2: the diamond.
- 9:41Speaker 4: All right, when you listen to old man Barkan, old
- 9:44Speaker 4: Man Larry Anderson, and old man Crucky talk about this team,
- 9:47Speaker 4: we used to strike out way too much the last
- 9:50Speaker 4: year and now into this year they've diminished the strikeouts,
- 9:54Speaker 4: but with that they've also diminished the homers. Besides Kyle Schwarmer,
- 9:58Speaker 4: where do you sit on that side of it? For
- 10:01Speaker 4: the Phillies based on the fact that you've seen it
- 10:03Speaker 4: now for a year of years before it was complaining
- 10:06Speaker 4: a strikeout or nothing, and now they minished diminished the strikeouts,
- 10:10Speaker 4: but the homers diminished with it too. So where do
- 10:13Speaker 4: you sit on that? As far as the happy medium, Yeah,
- 10:16Speaker 4: that's a that's.
- 10:17Speaker 2: A fine line because obviously, if you know you short
- 10:19Speaker 2: up with two strikes put a ball in play, something
- 10:21Speaker 2: good can happen. Tray Turner has gotten a little bit
- 10:24Speaker 2: better at that this year. I know his strikeouts are up,
- 10:26Speaker 2: but you know, he's still dumping balls into into the
- 10:29Speaker 2: outfield giving a chance. That is a that's walking a
- 10:33Speaker 2: fine line that everyone likes to home run. Obviously, home
- 10:36Speaker 2: runs are cool, and uh, you know it's you'd like
- 10:39Speaker 2: to see the ball play out of the ballpark. And
- 10:41Speaker 2: this ball club is built on slug and right now
- 10:45Speaker 2: they're not hitting a terrible amount of home runs. And
- 10:49Speaker 2: you know, I'm okay with them, you know, maybe striking
- 10:54Speaker 2: out a little bit more if they're going to hit
- 10:55Speaker 2: the ball out of the ballpark. But you know, people
- 10:58Speaker 2: have heard me say this over and over. I playing
- 11:00Speaker 2: this ball club to a good three point shooting basketball team.
- 11:04Speaker 2: You know, if those threes are going down, that's awesome, man,
- 11:06Speaker 2: that they keeps shooting, keep chucking up from the chiefs.
- 11:09Speaker 2: But if they're not going down, you need to find
- 11:12Speaker 2: other ways to score. And right now with the Phillies,
- 11:14Speaker 2: if they're not hitting the ball out of the ballpark,
- 11:16Speaker 2: they're not scoring runs. And that's that's something that's got
- 11:18Speaker 2: to change.
- 11:20Speaker 5: One bright spot on this team, which there's there's a
- 11:24Speaker 5: couple of them. I mean, justin Crawford. We interviewed him
- 11:27Speaker 5: in the Lakewold Blue Claws, a couple of years ago,
- 11:29Speaker 5: and we just we knew he was going to be
- 11:31Speaker 5: a bright young man and a good star in baseball.
- 11:33Speaker 5: I mean, he's been on base a lot. Talk a
- 11:36Speaker 5: little about him and what you think, you know he
- 11:38Speaker 5: can do better, and what he's done great so far
- 11:41Speaker 5: this year.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Well, one thing I'd like to see him do a
- 11:44Speaker 2: little bit more is steel basis. I mean, this guy
- 11:46Speaker 2: can flat out fly, and I'd like to see him
- 11:50Speaker 2: try and attempt some more bass stolen. He's played a
- 11:53Speaker 2: very good outfield. He gets really good jumps on balls.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I love what he's doing at the plate with his aggressiveness.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I mean this I got caught up. First pitch he
- 12:02Speaker 2: ever saw in a big league game. He shot it
- 12:03Speaker 2: right back up the middle for a single. So I
- 12:05Speaker 2: do it. I really do appreciate his aggressiveness. He's willing
- 12:10Speaker 2: to stay in the strike zone. I know he's a
- 12:12Speaker 2: young player. You get caught up and you want to
- 12:14Speaker 2: prove to everybody that you deserve to be there. You
- 12:17Speaker 2: are that guy. You you were the number one draft pick,
- 12:20Speaker 2: and I'm going to show you how good I am,
- 12:22Speaker 2: and then I belong here. You know, he's done everything
- 12:24Speaker 2: he could do in the minor leagues, he's hit for average.
- 12:27Speaker 2: He has not hit for a ton of power, but
- 12:29Speaker 2: maybe that comes. He's still a young man, so still
- 12:32Speaker 2: growing into his body a little bit more. But I've
- 12:35Speaker 2: loved the way he competes at home plate. He's been
- 12:37Speaker 2: using the other side of the diamond tremendously. You know,
- 12:40Speaker 2: you see that third base and drawn in, it's just
- 12:42Speaker 2: easy for him to punch it through that left side.
- 12:45Speaker 2: So I you know, I think this guy's a limit.
- 12:48Speaker 2: For this guy, he's got all the talent, he's got,
- 12:50Speaker 2: all the tools. He brought was obviously brought up in
- 12:52Speaker 2: the big league atmosphere with his dad, So I think
- 12:56Speaker 2: that the lights are not really too bright for him
- 12:58Speaker 2: right now. That's a good thing.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Hey, Ben, can you elaborate on what you're doing this weekend.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I think it's a cool feature in broadcasts that's becoming
- 13:07Speaker 1: more popular. We're seeing it pop up on some national
- 13:09Speaker 1: broadcasts too. But hanging on the field giving a different perspective.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And you're one of the guys that's doing this on
- 13:15Speaker 1: the local scene, and I think it could become a
- 13:18Speaker 1: thing there too.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I've done at the last couple of years a
- 13:21Speaker 2: few times getting down there. What I think is cool
- 13:24Speaker 2: about it is you realize how hard came is and
- 13:29Speaker 2: how fast the game is. You know, I sit up
- 13:32Speaker 2: in the booth and someone misses a three to one fastball,
- 13:36Speaker 2: I'm throwing my hands up, mere I can you miss that?
- 13:39Speaker 2: You forget about how hard it is to hit a baseball.
- 13:41Speaker 2: You forget about how fast the game is, how fast
- 13:43Speaker 2: the guys are getting down the line, how fast a
- 13:46Speaker 2: double plays turned. So instead of me being in the
- 13:49Speaker 2: booth with Johnny and Tom, it's just I'm down in
- 13:53Speaker 2: the dugout talking about what I see. You know, I remember,
- 13:57Speaker 2: I think last year Matt Bady with the Mets. He
- 14:01Speaker 2: was on first base and I noticed how deep the
- 14:03Speaker 2: lead he was taking. It's almost like he retreated past
- 14:07Speaker 2: the first base bag and then took his lead. And
- 14:09Speaker 2: I'm looking at it. I'm thinking, why is he doing this?
- 14:13Speaker 2: I said, I think good move is going to pick
- 14:14Speaker 2: this guy off. With two pitches later, Aaron Nola picks
- 14:17Speaker 2: over and dots him up and gets them out. And
- 14:20Speaker 2: it was inexplicable to me. So it's just basically what
- 14:23Speaker 2: I'm seeing on the field. You know, how the dugout
- 14:26Speaker 2: reacts to certain things, and you know because you notice
- 14:29Speaker 2: certain certain things when you're down there, Like I had
- 14:32Speaker 2: the one game last year with Zach Wheeler on the mound,
- 14:35Speaker 2: you just realize, you know, you got a big guy
- 14:37Speaker 2: six y five sixty six. How close he's releasing the
- 14:40Speaker 2: baseball at home plate. You don't see that from the boot,
- 14:42Speaker 2: but you can see it when you're down in the
- 14:44Speaker 2: dugout and that ball. Why that? You know why his
- 14:46Speaker 2: pitches get on hitters so fast, And.
- 14:49Speaker 4: You have experience being on the field, it kind of
- 14:51Speaker 4: brings you back, so you can give a good representation
- 14:54Speaker 4: of it. But someone that is actually currently on the
- 14:57Speaker 4: field I got to coach him was Connor Griffin. Connor
- 15:01Speaker 4: Griffin was on the exact same team as your son Tag.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Tag is absolutely smashing it at Louisville. For people who
- 15:09Speaker 4: don't know, he had eighteen homers last year as a
- 15:12Speaker 4: nineteen year old and now he's already got nineteen homers
- 15:15Speaker 4: in half the amount of games. So good for Tag.
- 15:19Speaker 4: But also when you look at a guy like Connor Griffin,
- 15:22Speaker 4: they're both on the All American team. We were out
- 15:25Speaker 4: in Seattle. I got to coach. Whatever I did, I
- 15:28Speaker 4: just got to like hang out with him and you
- 15:30Speaker 4: see it. Are you more Obviously you're proud of Tag
- 15:34Speaker 4: and what he's done, but are you more impressed with
- 15:37Speaker 4: Connor Griffin and the state of baseball? The fact that
- 15:40Speaker 4: he got that one hundred and forty million and it's like,
- 15:43Speaker 4: wait a minute, my son's the exact same agent.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Now he's gonna be able to do something like that.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's pretty dark cool, and it's nice to
- 15:52Speaker 2: see these younger guys a lot of their hard work
- 15:54Speaker 2: being paid off. I just found out that, you know,
- 15:57Speaker 2: Kevin McGonagall got eight years for one hundred and fifty
- 15:59Speaker 2: mollion dollars today, So that was very cool that the
- 16:03Speaker 2: Tigers locked him up. He was a year ahead of
- 16:05Speaker 2: Tag and played here locally at Monseignor Bonner High School,
- 16:09Speaker 2: and you know, watching him play in high school, you
- 16:12Speaker 2: realize that this kid is special, and you know, to
- 16:15Speaker 2: realize that, hey, this is the same age as my son.
- 16:19Speaker 2: But you talked about the talents. Obviously they have a
- 16:21Speaker 2: different skill set. Conor griff has a different skill set
- 16:25Speaker 2: than ninety nine point nine percent of the people in
- 16:27Speaker 2: the world. And you know, Kevin McGonagall has a swing
- 16:30Speaker 2: that's as sweet and as short as Chase Utley's and
- 16:34Speaker 2: with the same amount of thumb. So it's it's different
- 16:37Speaker 2: skill sets and uh, but it is cool to see
- 16:40Speaker 2: these guys, you know, think about it. A couple of
- 16:43Speaker 2: years ago. They're in high school and now they're playing
- 16:46Speaker 2: against Bryce Harper. Now they're playing against Coylee Schwerber. Now
- 16:49Speaker 2: they're now they're they're facing uh, you know, the GRAM.
- 16:54Speaker 2: It's it's one of those things like you kind of
- 16:56Speaker 2: kind of it's hard to wrap your mind around it
- 16:58Speaker 2: because they are so young, they have to sign these
- 17:00Speaker 2: enormous contracts. But I think it's cool that, you know,
- 17:04Speaker 2: I think it's cool that they're giving the opportunity, and
- 17:06Speaker 2: I think it's cool that the clubs are bringing them
- 17:08Speaker 2: up because give these guys shuts see what they can
- 17:11Speaker 2: do at this level. I think there's some teams out
- 17:13Speaker 2: there they're very they're not willing to promote guys and
- 17:19Speaker 2: push guys. Okay, you did okay and a ball, we'll
- 17:22Speaker 2: get you in Double A next year. You did okay
- 17:23Speaker 2: in Double A, and we'll put you in Triple A
- 17:25Speaker 2: next year. I think it's great that they're moving these
- 17:28Speaker 2: guys through the system in the fashion that they are.
- 17:31Speaker 1: And remember the last CBA, they created that rule that
- 17:34Speaker 1: made it less enticing to hold guys back, and I
- 17:37Speaker 1: do think that has helped the cause here. You don't
- 17:40Speaker 1: get an extra year of service that the guy comes
- 17:43Speaker 1: up and shine. So those kind of rules have been
- 17:44Speaker 1: helpful too for everyone because we get to see these
- 17:46Speaker 1: guys and clearly they fit a lot of these rookies.
- 17:49Speaker 1: This rookie class looks so good. So Ben really really
- 17:52Speaker 1: appreciate the time. Great sketch up with You're good to
- 17:53Speaker 1: see you man.
- 17:55Speaker 2: My pleasure, guys, thanks for having me.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Hey, one of the starts of Bucko Tear Josh Hairison
- 18:00Speaker 1: joining us right now near to the digital show podcasting
- 18:04Speaker 1: space and just crushing it. He's got the headphones to
- 18:07Speaker 1: show off and he's just really good on there with
- 18:10Speaker 1: Platinum Key and Ohio. So I encourage everyone to check
- 18:12Speaker 1: that out. We're gonna talk Jackie Robinson day with him
- 18:15Speaker 1: as well. But Josh, good to see you man. And
- 18:17Speaker 1: first off, I mean, it's a completely different vibe in
- 18:20Speaker 1: Pittsburgh right now. So what do you think of what
- 18:22Speaker 1: the pirates are putting out there in the first few
- 18:24Speaker 1: weeks of the year.
- 18:26Speaker 6: What's up. Fela's appreciate y'all having me on and definitely
- 18:30Speaker 6: from the outside looking at and cratzy you can speak
- 18:33Speaker 6: to it too, having spent time in Pittsburgh. You know,
- 18:36Speaker 6: when they feel like they got something special, you know,
- 18:38Speaker 6: they'll show up and they'll show out and it's bigger
- 18:41Speaker 6: than just you know, Paul Schemes. Obviously, you know you
- 18:43Speaker 6: got the best picture that they consider the planet in that.
- 18:46Speaker 6: But you know, just just a buzz, not even just
- 18:49Speaker 6: around you know, the young kid Connor Griffin who'd just
- 18:51Speaker 6: signed an extension, which you know definitely adds to the buzz,
- 18:55Speaker 6: but the signings of you know, Brandon Lyle, Ryan O'Hearn,
- 18:58Speaker 6: which you know, through the early part of the season,
- 19:00Speaker 6: have you know, someone seem to pay off. It's just
- 19:02Speaker 6: a different buzz. And uh, I mean there's been people
- 19:05Speaker 6: reaching out to me, you know, just from the outskirts
- 19:08Speaker 6: like hey man, this kind of feels like, you know
- 19:10Speaker 6: what it was like when you guys went on that run,
- 19:12Speaker 6: And not to compare this team or whatever to you know,
- 19:16Speaker 6: what we did, but just the buzz around the city,
- 19:19Speaker 6: they're comparing it to kind of when we had those runs,
- 19:21Speaker 6: you know, thirteen through fifteen.
- 19:23Speaker 3: So you know, Pittsburgh's special place.
- 19:25Speaker 6: And when you show up and you know you can
- 19:27Speaker 6: put you know, somewhat the product on the field that
- 19:30Speaker 6: looks like you want to win, they're gonna show up
- 19:32Speaker 6: and they're gonna bring that energy.
- 19:34Speaker 4: It is it like the run that you guys had
- 19:36Speaker 4: come on, Harry, like you had, you had an MVP,
- 19:40Speaker 4: you had a cy young contender in Garrett Cole. You
- 19:45Speaker 4: had like like the least the least notable person was
- 19:49Speaker 4: you when you were an All Star. Like the fact
- 19:51Speaker 4: that like you had Paedro Avarez was when Silver Sluggers
- 19:54Speaker 4: you had. Does this team have that because of Does
- 20:00Speaker 4: this team have that because of the hype that's around
- 20:02Speaker 4: it or is the city hyped up about it because
- 20:06Speaker 4: they're comparing it to like the last ten years and
- 20:09Speaker 4: there's not a lot to compare it to.
- 20:12Speaker 6: And I don't even think they comparing it to ten
- 20:14Speaker 6: years with what our team was. The city has just wanted,
- 20:18Speaker 6: you know, them to put a you know, a product
- 20:20Speaker 6: on the field that they can get behind, and I
- 20:22Speaker 6: don't think the fans have felt that they have put
- 20:25Speaker 6: forth their best effort, you know, since those years, and
- 20:29Speaker 6: I think from their standpoint, you know, it's the most
- 20:31Speaker 6: money they spent, you know, opening the season, and in
- 20:34Speaker 6: their eyes, I don't think they're comparing it to thirteenth
- 20:36Speaker 6: through fifteen, but I think the excitement of what this
- 20:39Speaker 6: team could be is reminiscent of that because they see that, oh,
- 20:43Speaker 6: this is a team that is, you know, showing glimpses
- 20:46Speaker 6: of a team that could potentially, you know, make a run,
- 20:49Speaker 6: you know, for the playoffs. So I wouldn't sit here
- 20:50Speaker 6: and say that they're like, oh, this is that thirteenth
- 20:52Speaker 6: through fifteen team, But the buzz and excitement around the
- 20:55Speaker 6: team is you know, somewhat similar to that, because it's
- 20:58Speaker 6: been a long time since the fans felt that they've
- 21:00Speaker 6: had some the cheer for.
- 21:04Speaker 5: Guys. You ever get it from your children all the time, Dad,

- 22:06Speaker 5: What's going down? Good to hear your voice. Love love
- 22:08Speaker 5: playing against it man, We've been playing for years, dude,
- 22:11Speaker 5: college all through right now, those are the best days
- 22:16Speaker 5: I want to get on this pitching staff. Dude, I
- 22:19Speaker 5: feel like I don't know you guys are in Pittsburgh's
- 22:22Speaker 5: in the East Coast. I'm gonna call it the East Coast.
- 22:24Speaker 5: It's in the East Side. I feel like they're not
- 22:27Speaker 5: getting as much love as they should. Man, they're missing Jones.
- 22:30Speaker 5: The guys absolutely filthy. They got some homegrown talent here.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Can this team that we talk about all the time
- 22:37Speaker 5: each year they come out really hot. Are they get
- 22:40Speaker 5: a fizzle or is this pitching staff going to help
- 22:42Speaker 5: this team along and ride this wave, you know, maybe
- 22:44Speaker 5: to a playoff bound I don't know, what do you think.
- 22:49Speaker 6: I think that's definitely gonna be the strength of their team.
- 22:51Speaker 6: As you mentioned, missing Jared Jones is definitely a key
- 22:54Speaker 6: piece that they're missing, which you see right now. Their
- 22:56Speaker 6: fifth starter is Majinski, who has you know, always had
- 23:00Speaker 6: like a bullpen roll, which he hasn't been bad in
- 23:02Speaker 6: the starting role, but other bullpen has been, you know,
- 23:05Speaker 6: not the greatest. So I think getting him back allows
- 23:08Speaker 6: them to feel like, you know, they they got somebody
- 23:10Speaker 6: in the back end of that rotation that you know,
- 23:12Speaker 6: it allows Majensky to go back to that long relief
- 23:15Speaker 6: swing kind of guy that can kind of tighten up
- 23:17Speaker 6: that bullpen and get you the you know, Isaac Mattson,
- 23:21Speaker 6: Gregor Risoto or Dennis Santana, And for them, I think
- 23:25Speaker 6: you can because you and I know in this game,
- 23:28Speaker 6: hitting is gonna be something that ebbs and flows up
- 23:30Speaker 6: and down. But pitching is something that can carry you
- 23:33Speaker 6: because you know, if pitching keeps you in the game,
- 23:35Speaker 6: all you need is at one time the not even
- 23:37Speaker 6: necessarily hit. You know, it might be a sack, fly,
- 23:40Speaker 6: might be a you know, you know, get the guy over,
- 23:42Speaker 6: get them in. You know, baseball is a funny game.
- 23:44Speaker 3: We know that.
- 23:44Speaker 6: But if your pitching is tough, you know, that gives
- 23:47Speaker 6: you that much more chance to you know, be in
- 23:49Speaker 6: every single game. And that's the difference in some teams
- 23:52Speaker 6: that win. If you got a good pitching, that's something
- 23:54Speaker 6: that a lot of teams don't have. So I think
- 23:56Speaker 6: it's something that they'll be able to, you know, kind
- 23:58Speaker 6: of keep up. But you know, with that, I think
- 24:02Speaker 6: some of their bigger issues is gonna be that bullpen
- 24:03Speaker 6: and defense.
- 24:06Speaker 3: All right, well here I got I gotta go to
- 24:08Speaker 3: the lineup. Pitching is legit.
- 24:10Speaker 4: I think the defense is gonna be legit now with
- 24:12Speaker 4: Connor there, and you can put your treola at different
- 24:15Speaker 4: places when he's healthy. To me, it's about a guy
- 24:19Speaker 4: who's hitting one hundred and when I was there, I
- 24:23Speaker 4: hit one hundred and I got fired twice. Do you
- 24:26Speaker 4: think the leash on a team that wants to win,
- 24:30Speaker 4: is gonna be too long for a Marcelo Zoo to
- 24:33Speaker 4: figure it out? Or do you think Marcelo Zuna, the
- 24:35Speaker 4: big Bear, is going to be able to figure it out?
- 24:39Speaker 4: But how long are they going to give him?
- 24:43Speaker 3: That's a good question.
- 24:44Speaker 6: I think we've even talked about that on our podcast
- 24:47Speaker 6: Buckle Territory. You know, as long as the team is winning,
- 24:50Speaker 6: I think his leash is gonna be, you know, a
- 24:52Speaker 6: little longer, because you know, that's a guy that's been
- 24:54Speaker 6: around the league that you know, you give him x
- 24:57Speaker 6: amount of bats, his numbers will probably even out to
- 25:00Speaker 6: be about what his league, you know, what his career
- 25:03Speaker 6: average is, maybe a little less. But at the same time,
- 25:06Speaker 6: you don't want to sit here and give a guy
- 25:08Speaker 6: one hundred and fifty two hundred that bats, you know,
- 25:12Speaker 6: and you know there's people that you can plug in
- 25:14Speaker 6: that are not one only gonna help the team defensively,
- 25:17Speaker 6: that can also give you, you know, better at bats
- 25:20Speaker 6: than what he's given right now, you know. So I
- 25:23Speaker 6: think that Lisha is gonna be something that they're going
- 25:25Speaker 6: to watch very closely. But at the same time, they've
- 25:28Speaker 6: kind of put themselves in a position where they're paying
- 25:30Speaker 6: I got twelve million dollars, So do you just eat
- 25:34Speaker 6: that money on a year that you've come out and
- 25:35Speaker 6: spent the most money, you know, to open up the season.
- 25:38Speaker 6: So I think, you know, being in Pittsburgh is a
- 25:41Speaker 6: situation where they're going to try to get everything that
- 25:44Speaker 6: they can out of them. But at the same time,
- 25:46Speaker 6: you have to ride at the momentum of what you have,
- 25:48Speaker 6: and if there's a you know, spot in a lineup
- 25:50Speaker 6: that might need to be interchange, sometimes you might have
- 25:53Speaker 6: to eat that money or give him some days off
- 25:55Speaker 6: and get a you know, guy in there that might
- 25:57Speaker 6: be getting things done. But if they're to win, I
- 26:00Speaker 6: think they're gonna give him at least knowing that he's
- 26:02Speaker 6: a veteran player. But I don't think it will continue
- 26:04Speaker 6: to be too long because you know, they've had some
- 26:08Speaker 6: situations with runners being left on base in scoring position.
- 26:11Speaker 3: He's a guy that they you.
- 26:12Speaker 6: Know, signed to help short that up and as I said,
- 26:15Speaker 6: at least won't be super long. But I think they're
- 26:17Speaker 6: gonna give him every opportunity to justify the twelve million
- 26:20Speaker 6: I think that they're paying them.
- 26:22Speaker 4: There's the only thing harder to get somebody to do
- 26:26Speaker 4: that's cheap, then spend his money is waste his money.
- 26:29Speaker 4: So you know what, they paid that man his money,
- 26:31Speaker 4: they're gonna they're gonna let that man get his bats.
- 26:34Speaker 4: They've fired him anytime soon. Does it feel weird that
- 26:37Speaker 4: this success is happening? Though in that position, it could
- 26:41Speaker 4: have been cut Like it could have been the guy
- 26:43Speaker 4: who's been there and everyone was like, ah, you know what.
- 26:47Speaker 4: The organization basically said, now he's washed and we think
- 26:50Speaker 4: we want something different. And now Cutch has had some success.
- 26:54Speaker 4: He hasn't been killing it in Texas, but this success
- 26:58Speaker 4: in this era that I've been alive.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Has revolved around Cutch.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Is it weird to not see him there, even in
- 27:06Speaker 4: like a platoon role of some kind.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Oh for sure.
- 27:10Speaker 6: I mean I don't want to speak for myself, but
- 27:13Speaker 6: I think anybody that kind of saw once he made
- 27:16Speaker 6: his way back to Pittsburgh, you kind of have to
- 27:18Speaker 6: feel in the damn man, when this dude's ready, he's
- 27:20Speaker 6: going to retire pirate. And that's not to say that
- 27:22Speaker 6: who knows what the future holds, but you kind of
- 27:25Speaker 6: saw this off season was almost like, I don't think
- 27:28Speaker 6: anybody really expected it to kind of go down the
- 27:30Speaker 6: way that it did. But you know, it's one of
- 27:32Speaker 6: those things, like you said, times have changed, and you
- 27:36Speaker 6: know that's my boy to you know, to the end.
- 27:38Speaker 6: I'm happy that he's got an opportunity elsewhere. You know, Unfortunately,
- 27:41Speaker 6: as we said, it's not where everybody thought it would be.
- 27:44Speaker 6: But if you ask him, you know, he's right where
- 27:45Speaker 6: he needs to be. But at the same time, you know,
- 27:49Speaker 6: for the city of Pittsburgh, you know, they got to
- 27:50Speaker 6: keep it moving and you know that's that's pretty much
- 27:52Speaker 6: what they did, and they they're gonna have to justify
- 27:54Speaker 6: it and not necessarily as pressure, but you know, all
- 27:57Speaker 6: good things must come to an end. So maybe that's
- 27:59Speaker 6: where game.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Hey, Josh, I want to move to the headliner today.
- 28:08Speaker 3: It is Jackie Robinson Day.
- 28:11Speaker 1: You know, we talked about it at the top of
- 28:12Speaker 1: the show and how much Jackie meant to the sport,
- 28:14Speaker 1: and of course wanted to get your thoughts on you know,
- 28:18Speaker 1: what you think about when you think about Jackie Robinson,
- 28:20Speaker 1: but also what it's like for players. I mean, this
- 28:22Speaker 1: show is about player perspective, So what's it like for
- 28:25Speaker 1: players on day like today?
- 28:28Speaker 6: Oh, man, it's fun man. You know, granted, every day
- 28:31Speaker 6: you're going to locker room, it's fun because you know
- 28:33Speaker 6: you get to put on a big league uniform. But
- 28:35Speaker 6: you know, looking around seeing everybody wearing forty two, you know,
- 28:38Speaker 6: just just to remember everything that he went through to
- 28:41Speaker 6: get us to where we are today and everything he endured.
- 28:45Speaker 6: Because you look around the clubhouse, no two people look
- 28:47Speaker 6: the same. So to take that day to remember him,
- 28:51Speaker 6: and you know you'll see guys that you know taking
- 28:54Speaker 6: a step further. You know, they were the cleats. They
- 28:56Speaker 6: you know, Baseball has done a good job of honoring him,
- 28:59Speaker 6: and you know, having different things and uh, you know,
- 29:01Speaker 6: it's always an exciting day for me. You know, I
- 29:03Speaker 6: always wore my pants up, so you know, I'm out there,
- 29:06Speaker 6: I'm trying to get a bag or something, you know,
- 29:09Speaker 6: trying to play like Jackie did that day. And but
- 29:12Speaker 6: at the same time, you know, it's it's kind of
- 29:15Speaker 6: weird because at the same time, if you don't know,
- 29:17Speaker 6: people look like, man, who is that on forty two?
- 29:19Speaker 6: Come on, man, Like I need to see his real
- 29:21Speaker 6: number because I've been looking in the iPad or you know,
- 29:24Speaker 6: the roster to know who's coming in, but you know,
- 29:27Speaker 6: outside of not knowing who it is, because everybody's forty two,
- 29:30Speaker 6: it's always the cool day because you know you walk in,
- 29:33Speaker 6: that jersey's hanging up, and you know it just allows everybody,
- 29:36Speaker 6: you know, put things in perspective and take that little
- 29:38Speaker 6: minute to reflect. But as I said, I think I
- 29:41Speaker 6: pretty I played pretty well on Jackie Robinson to day,
- 29:43Speaker 6: so I enjoyed it.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Oh man, I better. I should have looked up them stats,
- 29:47Speaker 3: but I.
- 29:48Speaker 6: Know I got at least a homer. I know I
- 29:50Speaker 6: got at least a homer, maybe two.
- 29:52Speaker 4: Okay, okay, well, well maybe somewady behind the scenes will
- 29:55Speaker 4: check the numbers.
- 29:56Speaker 3: We'll check it.
- 29:56Speaker 4: We'll check the line and make sure you're not lying
- 29:58Speaker 4: to us. But I talked about at the start of
- 30:00Speaker 4: the show, I stole my Giants jersey. It was twenty nineteen,
- 30:04Speaker 4: so it was at the end I was like, I
- 30:06Speaker 4: am not at the every time they were always take
- 30:09Speaker 4: my jersey, and I'm like, no, this is the one
- 30:11Speaker 4: that I want. Did you ever get any of your
- 30:13Speaker 4: jerseys and you have any good stories about people like
- 30:16Speaker 4: your family, call and me like, yo, let me get
- 30:18Speaker 4: that Jackie jersey because I know how much you got
- 30:21Speaker 4: to take care of, the take care of big age,
- 30:24Speaker 4: and how much your family do they do you have
- 30:28Speaker 4: any good stories about that jersey because of how meaningful
- 30:32Speaker 4: it is, But you know, did you have to steal
- 30:33Speaker 4: it yourself?
- 30:35Speaker 6: So like you, when I was with the Nationals, yeah,
- 30:37Speaker 6: I think we had Jackie Robinson Day in Boston, and
- 30:40Speaker 6: I think I had Homer jersey coming with me. You
- 30:44Speaker 6: might as well say, hey, if it's gonna be twenty five,
- 30:46Speaker 6: it's gonna be twenty four, and I'll let you know
- 30:49Speaker 6: it's gonna be number forty two. Good luck find good
- 30:53Speaker 6: luck fun on which forty two? But a lot of
- 30:56Speaker 6: people knew we couldn't take them. But my older brother,
- 30:58Speaker 6: he coaches minor leagues. He's right now coaching infield triple
- 31:02Speaker 6: A for the Reds, but he's been with the Diamonbacks
- 31:05Speaker 6: various levels. Saying with the Reds, he would always be like, man,
- 31:08Speaker 6: just give me a pair of them Jackie socks, because
- 31:10Speaker 6: you know they would have like the dining with the
- 31:11Speaker 6: forty two. So I would always try to look out
- 31:14Speaker 6: and get my brother a pair of socks. But outside
- 31:16Speaker 6: of that, you know, it's kind of tough to get
- 31:18Speaker 6: your hands on stuff. So I got to Washington National's
- 31:20Speaker 6: forty two. That might be the only one, but I
- 31:23Speaker 6: hit that home run and I said, yeah, nah, yeah,
- 31:25Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 31:26Speaker 6: This one got to come with me.
- 31:27Speaker 4: I think some of the other stuff people don't even
- 31:30Speaker 4: people don't even notice, Like the socks my son still wears,
- 31:34Speaker 4: wears the Jackie Robinson socks. He thinks they're the coolest.
- 31:37Speaker 4: My other son wears my like pink, my pink Mother's
- 31:41Speaker 4: Day socks. So like this kind of thing I think
- 31:43Speaker 4: needs to be needs to be done more in the
- 31:46Speaker 4: big leagues. And do you think we one day is
- 31:49Speaker 4: enough for Jackie.
- 31:52Speaker 6: I mean, it's better than no days. But I think
- 31:57Speaker 6: that's something that maybe it's a weekend thing. But I mean,
- 32:00Speaker 6: we do know when Jackie Robinson Day is. But at
- 32:04Speaker 6: the same time, I think maybe a weekend thing because
- 32:06Speaker 6: I know there have been cases where Jackie Robinson Day
- 32:08Speaker 6: has had to be two days based off it fell
- 32:10Speaker 6: on a Monday and somebody had an off day or
- 32:12Speaker 6: Wednesday Thursday. So that could be something to look to
- 32:15Speaker 6: where like, Okay, make sure that everybody's playing on Jackie
- 32:18Speaker 6: Robinson Day, because sometimes it'll fall on a Monday or Thursday,
- 32:21Speaker 6: which could be off days.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Harry.
- 32:23Speaker 4: I don't know how you're gonna feel about this, but
- 32:24Speaker 4: we were doing rundowns, pickoffs and rundowns in my high
- 32:27Speaker 4: school team the other day. We were teaching guys. We
- 32:30Speaker 4: were teaching guys pickoffs and rundowns and stuff. And we
- 32:32Speaker 4: had a dude on the team who's not very good
- 32:34Speaker 4: at baseball, but he is fast as all fast, and
- 32:38Speaker 4: he was getting out of all those rundowns and my
- 32:40Speaker 4: son goes, hey, he goes, he looked like Josh Harrison
- 32:44Speaker 4: running in those rundowns because he saw the crez leg
- 32:47Speaker 4: Harrison runs that you would have that you kind of
- 32:50Speaker 4: became famous for. But I gotta tell you, every one
- 32:54Speaker 4: of the dudes on the team goes, who. So, does
- 32:58Speaker 4: that make me feel bad or does that make you
- 33:00Speaker 4: feel like?
- 33:00Speaker 3: All right?
- 33:01Speaker 4: Mayby, I gotta re up the YouTube videos for the kids.
- 33:05Speaker 6: Nah, it don't make me feel bad in due time,
- 33:09Speaker 6: because when they get old enough, they'll start to find
- 33:11Speaker 6: out that that video that meme is starting to pop
- 33:14Speaker 6: up on Thanksgiving. I get it every Thanksgiving talking about
- 33:18Speaker 6: when somebody mentions where my girlfriend or whatever and somebody's
- 33:21Speaker 6: like me avoiding a question of when I'm gonna get married.
- 33:24Speaker 6: So if they don't know, oh, I've seen that meme,
- 33:27Speaker 6: so apparently I've been told that it's gonna be timeless.
- 33:31Speaker 6: So if they don't know, they will know.
- 33:34Speaker 1: That's so good, right, anytime someone's avoiding something showing Josh
- 33:40Speaker 1: between the bases, Nope, nope, nope, that's good.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Gonna catch me.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Heay here man.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Thank you so much for joining us.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Josh.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Great to see you and keep running it. It's been
- 33:53Speaker 1: great listening to you on VAKA.
- 33:55Speaker 3: We'll do appreciate you'll having me on.
- 33:58Speaker 1: And Josh hireson along with no Hiles and Platinum Key
- 34:02Speaker 1: run the new Bucko Territory a few months old and
- 34:05Speaker 1: they're bringing it's part of the FT network. If you're
- 34:08Speaker 1: a Pirates fan, it's a must.
- 34:10Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Podcasts, YouTube, wherever you want to listen, it's there.
