- 8:29Let's talk science. A nuclear fusion startup
- 8:33based in San Francisco claims it can create gold
- 8:36from mercury. potentially making alchemy a reality.
- 8:40While the company, Marathon Fusion, has outlined
- 8:44its method in a paper not yet peer -reviewed,
- 8:47it involves bombarding mercury -198 with energetic
- 8:51neutrons to produce mercury -197, which eventually
- 8:55decays into gold -197. However, sheeting this
- 8:59process requires extreme conditions, including
- 9:02a significant neutron flux. Experts remain skeptical,
- 9:08as the commercial viability of fusion reactors
- 9:11is still years away, leaving humanity's alchemical
- 9:14dreams largely confined to paper. Nonetheless,
- 9:19the future of fusion energy may hold promise.
- 9:24And in entertainment news, in the latest review
- 9:28of The Naked Gun, Liam Neeson shines with his
- 9:32deadpan goofiness. while Pamela Anderson steals
- 9:35scenes with her impeccable comic timing. Directed
- 9:39by Akeva Shaffer, this legacy sequel continues
- 9:43the spirit of the original trilogy, featuring
- 9:46the sons of classic characters. Though the film
- 9:50stumbles midway, it offers enough laugh -out
- 9:52-loud moments for nostalgic fans. Neeson's serious
- 9:56delivery adds a meta layer as he tackles crime,
- 9:59while Anderson's charm keeps lines fresh. Despite
- 10:04its unevenness, the film delivers a mix of inspired
- 10:07nonsense and retrograde humor, engaging audiences
- 10:11with its playful spirit. Well, alrighty folks,
- 10:15it's time for the quote of the day. And today,
- 10:19our quote comes from the American inventor and
- 10:22businessman, Thomas Edison. And he said, Restlessness
- 10:28is discontent and discontent is the first necessity
- 10:31of progress. And that's a wrap for this morning.
