Latest / Worldview Matters With David Fiorazo / John Haller: Report On Current Events, Archaeology In Israel
Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:19All right, family and Christ, thank you so much for tuning in.
- 0:23We've got our friend John Haller back with us and freshly back from Israel.
- 0:27He's got some pretty amazing things to tell about some of his observations when he was there,
- 0:32and then what he came home to with election in New York and what's going on in our own country,
- 0:38and even with, you know, the right or the Republicans or MAGA, just really interesting times
- 0:43we're living in with both parties kind of splintering.
- 0:47But first, I've got to remind you that we are now in our third year of producing
- 0:52World View Matters. It's amazing. We're so blessed by your support, your prayers, but praise God.
- 0:58I always tell people, I still have to pinch myself and look at this new studio here.
- 1:03But to continue speaking the truth and exposing evil, we depend on not only your prayers,
- 1:08but those who are able to give financially. So we're a 501c3, like a lot of ministries,
- 1:13you likely support, but we're running a new campaign.
- 1:16And if you'd like to consider a tax deductible gift of any amount,
- 1:21but say $200 or a lot of people are doing like a monthly 25 a month, which is great.
- 1:26We have brand new stainless steel tumblers. We'd love to send you one of these.
- 1:30This is the first one out of the box that I got, but it's my tagline on one side.
- 1:35Keep speaking the truth about things that matter. World View Matters on the other side.
- 1:41Just simply go to worldviewmatters.tv if you're able to give.
- 1:45Worldview Matters.tv. Either way, thank you for your prayers.
- 1:49That's most important and your support. So I ran down this list last week,
- 1:55but we're always getting new supporters coming along.
- 1:59Are people coming back and giving their financial support?
- 2:02I just want to mention states because I've been mentioning a lot of names this week.
- 2:06It's interesting. The main three states were getting support from Wisconsin, of course,
- 2:13because Green Bay, Wisconsin, Michigan, and is it California? Yeah, California. That's interesting.
- 2:19John Haller, Ohio is in there. So you're off the hook. North Carolina, Wyoming, South Dakota,
- 2:28Minnesota, Virginia, Texas, South Carolina, Nevada, Illinois, New Mexico.
- 2:34Did I miss any? And yes, North Carolina, several from Michigan, which isn't interesting.
- 2:40So I think I got all those. So anyway, friends, thank you so much. We'll be doing this for a few
- 2:44weeks. It's that time of year. As I'm sure you know, a lot of ministries do their end of your
- 2:49push and you can get that tax deduction if you need it. So John Haller just got back from Israel
- 2:54and you can catch up with him at Fellowship Bible Chapel YouTube channel.
- 3:00Brother, thank you so much for your time and what you're able to share today. We appreciate it.
- 3:06It's good to be with you, David. Yeah, didn't you just, was it last night on the night before I saw
- 3:10you guys doing a live round table? How many of those do you do? That was, we did that on November 12th
- 3:17with Patrick Wood, Bridgillette, Scott Townsend, and David Bowen. And I will do another one on
- 3:25December 10th. So we're trying to do them about every four weeks just because we don't, we do about
- 3:32two to two and a half hours and we don't have time to even scratch the surface on everything
- 3:37happening and the technology market, the B system space. So it's pretty incredible.
- 3:45A lot happening and a lot to keep up with. But let's start with your trip. I think you sent me
- 3:51some a couple scriptures one in Zechariah, one in Nehemiah, but talk about wherever you want to start
- 3:59from what your observations were in Israel. So you know, I'm what you would call a Christian Zionist
- 4:05and we'll talk a little bit later about I think some of the bad theology that's leading to a
- 4:12lot of the fracturing on the conservative right in America. The mega, a lot of people on the
- 4:20mega right, well, we'll talk about the mega right are going completely anti-Israel, anti-Jew,
- 4:26anti-Zionist, and the examples are pretty legion, but it was an incredible time to be there.
- 4:35The first thing I did was I led a tour for two weeks, then I came home for about a week and a half
- 4:40and then I went back for about 10 days. So I it was a lot of flying to, you know, I didn't want it,
- 4:49I, Pam couldn't go so I thought I wouldn't leave her at home alone for a month. What's going on in
- 4:56Israel is, you know, it's interesting they're in the midst of a war and I could share stores
- 5:03that they did a podcast with somebody and I talked about the first two days of my trip and we
- 5:07went about two and a half hours as you can imagine that I would do. But let me just share a few
- 5:14stories. In the midst of this and everybody thinks of Israel as kind of a monolithic place,
- 5:21one thing that's amazing about Israel is, is particularly in Jerusalem, but this is true in
- 5:26Ashtode and Ashkalan and Tel Aviv, along the Mediterranean and other cities we went to a
- 5:33frot which is between Jerusalem and Hebron. It's a Jewish settlement area. They're building 7,000
- 5:41new homes in a frot. In Jerusalem you go down Jaffa street, one of the main roads and it's a solid
- 5:47construction zone for three miles. The traffic in Jerusalem is as bad as anything I've ever seen.
- 5:54They're building tunnels, more light rail, all of this, but it's just,
- 5:59if stuff is almost to the point of a stand still all the time in Jerusalem. I mean you have a mile
- 6:05and a half from your hotel to the old city where we were for the media summit and it can take an hour,
- 6:12hour, 25 minutes to get a mile. And I even, I can walk a mile and that's funny too because
- 6:21we're walking around Jerusalem and all of the, all of the directions on Google maps,
- 6:28walking directions all the time they say, mostly flat. There's not a flat spot anywhere in that
- 6:36city. It's, it seems like it's more up than down, but you know we walked out into the old
- 6:42Ottoman train station to get dinner the other night and it's probably a 75 story building
- 6:47elevation change in a mile and less than a mile downhill. Of course you have to walk back up
- 6:55and so we took a cab after dinner, but it's incredible. The amount of construction is just
- 7:03absolutely shocking and you look at through some of the barriers that these things that they're
- 7:07building and the foundational holes are five, six, seven, nine stories deep that they've built,
- 7:15so they're building very big buildings in these places. And I don't know what the traffic is
- 7:20going to be like when Beckett's done. They say that redoing things are going to take five years
- 7:25to get the white rio and tunnels and things that they want built. Wow. But so just a couple things.
- 7:34So one of the things we did on the media summit that I was there, we traveled to different places.
- 7:39We went to the Gaza Amboa, went to some of the kibbutz that was attacked. We went to the Nova
- 7:44Festival. I did the same thing on my tour. We went to a different kibbutz. And at the one we went
- 7:51to on our tour, Faraza, you can see there's just bullet holes in machine gun and RPG explode.
- 8:00You can see where people died. So for example, at Faraza there were 925 residents on October 7th,
- 8:0868 were killed, 18 taken hostage. And when we were there, this is before we were there while
- 8:13Trump came. But in fact, both times he's been a Jerusalem. I've been there for some reason. But
- 8:20it may be stalking me. But the two of the hostages, the twin brothers, were still held hostage.
- 8:30Of course, they've been since been released. And I'll talk about that in just a moment. But
- 8:35the level of destruction that you see there, for example, at Niraaz and other kibbutz that we went to,
- 8:42there's one sign there that kind of tells everything you need to know. It says,
- 8:46Gush Kateef. It's a road sign. There's somebody put on top of the building pointing towards Gaza.
- 8:52So when you're at the fence on the kibbutz, on the western fence, the Gaza border fence is about
- 9:00maybe a half a mile away. And then you can see the buildings beyond that. And every now and then
- 9:05you'll hear these massive explosions going off, even after the ceasefire and everything because
- 9:11they're still terrorists and tunnels. But this Gush Kateef sign really says a lot because in 2005,
- 9:19the Bush Cheney administration, under the guys, well, we're smarter than everybody else. We're
- 9:25going to force you to make peace with the Palestinians. And so we force them to evacuate every
- 9:33Jew from Gaza. And it wasn't just every live view. It was every dead Jew. They dug up the
- 9:39bodies and brought them out of Gaza. Gaza became completely Jew free. And so I asked,
- 9:48shortly after I saw that sign, I was talking to, I believe he was the first first responder to
- 9:54get to the Nova Festival. And this is a battle hardened guy, a peer-to-proof fought in 11 and wars.
- 10:01And that type of thing. And he was out in a hard time describing what he saw when he got to that
- 10:06Nova Festival, 364 killed, hundreds more injured bodies piled up everywhere. And so they have
- 10:14these memorials to each person there. And the families come there on Shabbat and actually have
- 10:20their Shabbat dinner at the memorial that's set up where their child died. It's kind of hard to
- 10:28describe. But I asked him about that Bush-Kateef sign. And he said, I suggest, well, maybe October
- 10:347th doesn't happen if Jews hadn't been evacuated from Gaza. And he said, no, no, it's not maybe. It
- 10:40would not have happened. But our government participated in that and forced them to leave Gaza.
- 10:48So it was interesting when on my tour we went to Gaza and then we came back to Jerusalem. So this
- 10:55is the first thing that I'll talk about. We had dinner and then we said we're going over to the
- 11:02city of David. This is an incredible archaeological site. Really 25 years ago, nothing had been
- 11:07excavated. Now they've excavated. And we were able to walk most of the pilgrimage road. Most
- 11:13groups aren't able to do that yet. We also went to what they call temple zero. We know there was
- 11:19the first temple and the second temple, but they found an earlier temple in Jerusalem at the city
- 11:25of David in the place that it should be. So they call it was excavated starting in 2010
- 11:32by L.H. Crown. So this is very recent. And it's called temple zero because it's the temple of
- 11:38Nukhizadek, where Abram came to give an offering to Nukhizadek. And there's no doubt about it. And
- 11:46it's a very unique structure. It's different than all the other pagan temples that they found
- 11:52in the Middle East. And I think L.H. Crown conclusion is correct. In fact, they've carbon dated
- 11:59organic material, you know, pots and that type of thing that they found that were used in sacrifices
- 12:06to about 1900 BC, which is the time of Abraham. Wow. And so this is a confirmation. So you're,
- 12:13I mean, so you're sitting there right in all this history. But in the city of David,
- 12:18one thing that they've excavated is this big wall. And it's the wall of Nehemiah. Nehemiah
- 12:24built this wall. And by the way, David, there is no doubt this is the wall of Nehemiah.
- 12:32Excavated in the city of David. So we walked over to the city of David. And it's about 50 stories
- 12:39up, 50 stories down, up some more, and then down some more to get there. And I mean, it's only,
- 12:46I don't know, six tenths of a mile. So you're working, it's a workout to get over there. And then
- 12:52you get to the city of David. And it's about seven stories down to the seats that they have for
- 12:58this light show. And the light show was called L.A. Luya. But so here we are city in the city of
- 13:04David watching a laser light show, you know, with pyrotechnics and all the stuff. And the story
- 13:10is the story of Nehemiah projected on the wall of Nehemiah in the city of David.
- 13:17Seeth. And while we're there, the negotiations are going on about the release of the hostages.
- 13:26And we are there during Sukkot, the feast of booze. So everything is a madhouse. There are special
- 13:34shabbats all the way through Sukkot. But so in Nehemiah aid, it talks about the fact that while they
- 13:42were doing the wall, they found the book of the law. And they brought the book of the law out,
- 13:47that they had lost. They had not seen this for a long time. It had been discovered just like
- 13:53today they're discovering the city of David where Solomon's palace was, where David's palace was,
- 14:00the temple of McKisodeck, the pilgrimage road from the pool of Psylone to the temple mount that
- 14:06you can walk or as soon as most everybody will be able to walk on. It's just about that probably
- 14:12next year or open. But so in the context of the feast of booze, this light show about Nehemiah
- 14:22that we've just watched, there's a verse in Nehemiah 8 verse 17. And it says this, the entire
- 14:31assembly of those who had returned from the captivity, the captivity to Babylon, made booze and lived
- 14:39in the booze. In other words, it was Sukkot and they were celebrating Sukkot after coming back from
- 14:45captivity. We're there when they're releasing hostages from captivity. And then it says this,
- 14:51the sons of Israel had in need indeed not done so and not keeping the feast of booze from the days
- 14:57of Joshua, the son of none to that day. And there was exceedingly great gladness. And I guess
- 15:04I'm just trying to say that there's this pattern that happened at the time of Nehemiah and then we
- 15:11were living the fulfillment of it, the modern fulfillment of it while we were sitting there in the
- 15:17city of David. It was a very emotional, very incredibly biblical. So I meant it says, and he read
- 15:29from the book of the law of God, daily, from the first day to the last day. And so they celebrated
- 15:35the feast and there was this massive celebration going on in Israel in the midst of a war,
- 15:41they're at war with people. So there was one other, I've had two other quick stories. So we went
- 15:49up to the Lebanon border to Matulla the day after we were there right on the border, they're bombing
- 15:55all the new Hezbollah positions that are being reestablished up there. It was nice that they waited
- 16:01until we had finished our thing up there. Then we went over to the Golan border with Syria.
- 16:09And you can look over to the mountains, a place called Sueda, where the Al Jilani regime,
- 16:17the Al Shara regime, the new regime in Syria is persecuting Christians and Druids.
- 16:24And it was hard for me to watch this meeting with President Trump in Al Shara, this former
- 16:31Al Qaeda ISIS guy in the White House yesterday. This is very bad optics. I don't understand what's
- 16:39going on. And as a lawyer, I try to think through all the possibilities. I cannot think of any
- 16:47possibility under which this was a good thing that happened yesterday. The optics were very bad.
- 16:52But they brought into us to talk to us a lady from module Shams. And about a year ago,
- 16:58there was a Hezbollah rocket that hit a soccer field at module Shams and killed 12th
- 17:04Trilver. And one of whom was the 11-year-old daughter of the lady who talked to us.
- 17:09The father was there. He couldn't talk. It was one of the most moving, emotional things I've
- 17:16ever seen in my life as she talked about her 11-year-old daughter who spoke four languages.
- 17:24Druid, Hebrew, Turkish, and had taught herself a fourth language German because she wanted to
- 17:33go to law school in Germany. She was 11 years old. She was killed by that rocket. And then there
- 17:40was also with them another father. His son was on the soccer field but was missing for a couple
- 17:47days. They could not figure out what happened. I don't know how to describe this other than
- 17:56they finally found pieces of his body. He was blown to bits by the Hezbollah rocket.
- 18:03And so this is a real war in a real place going on. And this is a story that was repeated over
- 18:11and over as we went around Israel. So the last Sunday I was there on the tour. I met my friend
- 18:20Rodi Harrell at Christchurch in the old city. And we went on a walking tour. So we went down.
- 18:27And he said, I want you to see what happened here. He showed me there's a reproduction of the
- 18:32Mottaba map. It's over in Mottaba, a church in Mottaba, Jordan. It's a mosaic done around 3,
- 18:38400 AD. It's the oldest map of the Middle East. But one thing that's interesting is that I think
- 18:45this relates to some of the other things we want to talk about is that the map is of Jerusalem
- 18:53and the Holy Land but something's missing. The Temple Mount. So even back in 3 or 400 AD,
- 19:02they were trying to erase the Jewish character of the Holy Land from the Holy Land. And it was
- 19:09the Christians who were doing it. So he took us over to the Herva synagogue. It took me over to
- 19:15the Herva synagogue, which is only reopened in the last year or two. And there's another big
- 19:20synagogue that was just rebuilt and reopened. They were completely destroyed in 1948 war of
- 19:26independence by Jordan who took over the old city of Jerusalem, occupied the old city of Jerusalem
- 19:33and completely destroyed the Jewish quarter of the old city. So that's why when you go to the old
- 19:40city today, the Jewish quarter has a lot of new buildings on it. And there's a movie there that
- 19:48about what happened in the 1948 war and about the surrender that took place. So Roddy took me
- 19:53down to the place where the surrender happened. And on the way down there, there's a memorial to a
- 19:58mass grave that used to be there of 28 people, including a 10-year-old IDF soldier who was killed in
- 20:06a 1948 war rabbi and his wife. We're all buried there. Now they've since been, the bodies have been
- 20:11relocated, but there's a memorial there. And then there's a square. The square is in front of what
- 20:16they call the house of Rothschild. It was a house for the poor people that the Rothschild family had
- 20:22built there in the Jewish quarter. And it's still standing. And in the front of the square,
- 20:29there were people, old people, young people walking around and there were kids playing soccer
- 20:36and that type of thing. It was an incredible site and then my friend Roddy said, look at that.
- 20:43And over on the wall, if you stayed at the house of Rothschild and you look to the left,
- 20:48there's a wall and on the walls of Bible verse. And everywhere we went, we saw IDF soldiers.
- 20:55They were down at Nova. They were there. They were at the goal on border or a Syria. They're getting
- 21:00educated about the history of Israel to motivate them for the very serious fight in which
- 21:07they're engaged. We saw some at Nova. They said, yeah, we came here today to remember and to get
- 21:14motivated because we're going into Gaza to fight tonight. Wow. And so this is, I mean, you know,
- 21:20these are like young, they're young people. They're, you know, 19, 20, 21, 22 years old. Some of
- 21:27them are married have young families. But then Roddy said, look at that. Look at those two
- 21:34Orthodox soldiers standing there by the Bible verse. And they were literally meaning against the
- 21:41wall weeping because of the verse and what was going on there. So there's a prophecy of Zachary.
- 21:49And I'm not saying that this prophecy has been fulfilled yet. But these prophecies are kind of
- 21:55unfolding right in front of us. And so in Zachary chapter 8 verses 4 and 5, it says this, and this
- 22:03is the verse that's on the wall in Hebrew because I went and I took a picture of it in Google
- 22:09translated and translated. This is what it says. Thus says Yahweh of host old men and old woman
- 22:17will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem. Each man with his staff in his hand because of age.
- 22:25And the streets of this city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets.
- 22:31That was going on right in front of me. And so we're in the midst of this. And by the way,
- 22:40that's one of about 150 or more stories that I could tell you just from this trip. The trips to
- 22:49Israel are so faith reaffirming, but understand that they're in the midst of a propaganda where I will
- 22:57give you an example. So I had not been up to nobleness where the biblical city of Shekham is,
- 23:03we went to Joshua's altar, the actual altar of Joshua on Mountty Ball, the Mount of Curses,
- 23:11in nobleness. Biblical Shekham, where Joseph's tomb is, the amount of blessing is Mount Gershine.
- 23:20But to go to Joshua's altar, we had to get, we went with a couple of Jewish groups to share the
- 23:26cost of the bus we had to with bulletproof windows. And we had to go in there under on a back road
- 23:34under IDFS court with soldiers and everything. And then as we were walking the mile or so from
- 23:40where we parked to Joshua's altar to talk about it, we had drones flying overhead. So they're in
- 23:46the midst of a war. But as they looked around nobleness having been there about eight years ago with
- 23:52Joel Kramer, the amount of building in these Arab villages in places like Nobleness. And then when
- 24:01we went to a fraught in Bethlehem right across the valley, right on the other side of Solomon's
- 24:06pools from a fraught, there's all these new apartment buildings. And we went to Shabbat in a fraught
- 24:12we came out. And when you look back at the, a fraught, it's a condominium, a giant condominium
- 24:19buildings and complex. All the lights in the windows are on. You look across the valley at these
- 24:26brand new apartment buildings. And this was true in Nobleness, it was true in your Shiloh,
- 24:32it was true in Bethlehem. There is not a single light in any window in any of these new buildings
- 24:42at night. Why is that? It's a complete propaganda operation to make it look like there are more
- 24:50Arabs living there than there are. I saw this eight years ago up near the
- 24:57biblical city of I, the archaeological site, Big Neighborhood like Beverly Hills, nobody lives
- 25:02there. These apartment buildings, nobody lives there. It's a propaganda op by the UN and UN
- 25:10associated NGOs to make it look like there are more Palestinians because they don't want Israel
- 25:17to think that, well, we can just make a one-state solution because they say, well, there'll be
- 25:21more Arabs than Jews. It's a complete falser. So, and now we have all these people
- 25:31talking about it, we have Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, we have the people on the right,
- 25:38even Bannon's war room has gone completely anti-Israel. They'll say they're not, but they are,
- 25:44they're lying if they say they're not. And I saw video on a YouTube channel from a guy named
- 25:51Steve the tour guide. I'm going to try to interview him here in the next couple of weeks.
- 25:56It's an excellent interview about what's going on? Where is this coming from? And so Steve
- 26:02has pretty well educated and he said, this is a revival of pre-Vaticant to Catholicism,
- 26:13which is very anti-Israel because what pre-Vaticant to Catholicism was that the Jews collectively
- 26:21are guilty for all time for killing Christ, not just the people who orchestrated at the time,
- 26:27like the New Testament teachers, but it's a, and so this, we're in the midst of that. So,
- 26:33Diana West and Lee Smith at Tablet have new articles about how to sustain. And this is,
- 26:42this is what Pat Buchanan talked about. And everybody poo-pooed him back in the 80s, like,
- 26:48oh, Pat, you're in the anti-Semite, you're a Jew hater. One of the people who did that, I have
- 26:54the video of him. It's what you didn't find it on C-SPAN. A guy criticizing Pat Buchanan's
- 27:01Jew hatred for being anti against the Zionist aspect of Israel. We're establishing Israel in the land.
- 27:10That video is from a guy named Tucker Carlson. So what's happened is there's this revival of this
- 27:18pre-Vaticant to Catholicism that is extremely anti-Jew in anti-Israel.
- 27:27So, John, we're out of time, but I want to send people to tabletmag.com. Jeff, if you could just
- 27:33bring up the page of that article so people can go look that up. Very interesting. One of the quotes
- 27:39in there, Trump didn't inherit Buchanan's legacy. He is a repudiation of it. And it's very
- 27:44interesting, some things that I wasn't aware of about Buchanan. Well, you know, anti-Semitism.
- 27:49It's not new, and we shouldn't be surprised, but the growth of it in America is concerning. John
- 27:55Haller, next time we're going to have to do two episodes, brother, but thanks for your time. We'll
- 27:58see you on a round table or we'll keep in touch. Thanks, brother. God bless you, friends, and as always,
- 28:05keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
