- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a bramble Jam podcast. Welcome to Girls Gone Hamewark,
- 0:26Speaker 1: a very special live from bramble Fest episode of Girls
- 0:31Speaker 1: Gone Hallmark. Bye. That's okay. I'm Megan and I'm a
- 0:38Speaker 1: longtime homework fan. I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater.
- 0:43Speaker 1: First of all, thank you to Brandan and the entire
- 0:45Speaker 1: Bramblefest team for having us here this year. We're so
- 0:47Speaker 1: excited to be here. And as mentioned, we are reviewing
- 0:52Speaker 1: a very polarizing movie. We have done this movie before
- 0:58Speaker 1: when we were brand Baby podcasters. Do not go looking
- 1:02Speaker 1: for that episode. I'm going to screw ub it on
- 1:04Speaker 1: the internet. We're gonna talk about it. But it's it
- 1:07Speaker 1: was always you from twenty twenty one. I got to
- 1:13Speaker 1: tell you that when we mentioned on Instagram that we
- 1:15Speaker 1: were doing this, the reviews were either that is my
- 1:18Speaker 1: favorite movie that was ever on Hallmark or I hate
- 1:21Speaker 1: that movie and want to bring it to the ground.
- 1:23Speaker 1: So this should be interesting. This should be interesting. Can
- 1:27Speaker 1: I get us to show Hans who's who loves this movie?
- 1:30Speaker 1: All right? We're hate Who's mad about it? Oh yeah?
- 1:35Speaker 1: All right? All right. Before we jump into our review,
- 1:38Speaker 1: quick reminder for everyone here and everybody listening. You can
- 1:42Speaker 1: follow us when this podcast is over. We're Girls Gone
- 1:44Speaker 1: Hamewark on Instagram. Hey yeah, we have a Facebook group too.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I like to think of it as the second best
- 1:51Speaker 1: Hallmark Facebook. Right, it's called Girls Go One Hallmark. You
- 1:55Speaker 1: can find us on Facebook groups. So we're gonna kick
- 1:58Speaker 1: it off with a synopsis if it was always you right.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Elizabeth's engagement plans are thrown into disarray when her fiance's
- 2:05Speaker 1: free spirited brother, David, returns home with her engagement party
- 2:10Speaker 1: looming and a million things to do. David's unexpected influence
- 2:14Speaker 1: prompts Elizabeth to question her life's decisions. Sound machine. Yes,
- 2:25Speaker 1: we practice with clicker and now it's not click clicker
- 2:28Speaker 1: is not working brand What did I oh? All right,
- 2:38Speaker 1: look it's time for our News and Note segment. We're
- 2:40Speaker 1: gonna do things a little bit different. We're going to
- 2:42Speaker 1: uh rapid fire through these here we go. I want
- 2:50Speaker 1: to say two things about this News and Notes segment,
- 2:55Speaker 1: and that is there are people who absolutely love this
- 2:58Speaker 1: segment of our podcast, so it's never going away. But
- 3:01Speaker 1: there's another reason it's never going away, and it's because
- 3:04Speaker 1: we're pity. Yes, we are look a long time ago,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and we were really new to this. Someone messages and
- 3:12Speaker 1: was like, y'all got to do your homework and we
- 3:14Speaker 1: were like okay. And now the news note segment lives
- 3:18Speaker 1: on and we will never ever let it go because yes,
- 3:20Speaker 1: we can take constructive criticism, but we also never ever
- 3:24Speaker 1: forget that somebody said that. So just leaning. So we
- 3:27Speaker 1: bought up in fourteen news and notes about this movie.
- 3:31Speaker 1: This movie was directed by Michael Robinson. He's directed A
- 3:36Speaker 1: Million Things, Unexpected Valentine and an Unexpected Christmas, which is
- 3:40Speaker 1: like a weird pairing because they don't seem to be
- 3:41Speaker 1: related otherwise, A novel Noel Holiday, Pressure's a ton of things.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Oh no, I'm not gonna send a word the rest
- 3:48Speaker 1: of the show. Obviously, you guys recognize these two. This
- 3:56Speaker 1: is Aaron crack Out. Oh my gosh, did I do it?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Is it right? I ever got her name right? Craigow
- 4:01Speaker 1: Craig I butchered it in our original one. I think
- 4:04Speaker 1: I was like Caracow Craw. I'm like, I'm sorry, I
- 4:08Speaker 1: saw Aaron. Our apologies. Also, and that guy Tyler Hines,
- 4:12Speaker 1: you guys know him, right. Some other notable appearances Giles
- 4:17Speaker 1: Panton as George, who has had a whopping twenty eight
- 4:19Speaker 1: projects since this movie came out four years ago, so
- 4:23Speaker 1: you know we're gonna be rough on him, but don't
- 4:25Speaker 1: feel too bad for poor Giles Panta. We also have
- 4:28Speaker 1: Nelson Wong as Eugene, Caitlin Striker as Abby, Elissa Rodari
- 4:34Speaker 1: as Louise, and Francis Flanagan as Diana. Something I had
- 4:38Speaker 1: completely forgotten is this is based on a book Today
- 4:41Speaker 1: Is Not Your Day by Marion Thurm. So if you
- 4:43Speaker 1: either want to love or be really not at a story,
- 4:45Speaker 1: maybe you want to check that out. The teleplay is
- 4:48Speaker 1: by Kathy Cloves. Look, this is really surprising to me.
- 4:50Speaker 1: When I went back to look at this, I was like,
- 4:51Speaker 1: surely this is going to be a writer that we've
- 4:53Speaker 1: heard a million times over the past several years of
- 4:56Speaker 1: doing this podcast. I mean no disrespect to her, but
- 4:59Speaker 1: she only has five total writing credits. The Christmas Promise
- 5:01Speaker 1: and Love at First Glance are her other two Hollwark projects,
- 5:04Speaker 1: So that was kind of a surprise to me. I
- 5:07Speaker 1: was like, it's gonna be one of the names. It
- 5:08Speaker 1: was not one of the names. Since this is a
- 5:11Speaker 1: re record. He pulled some quotes from our very first
- 5:14Speaker 1: episode reviewing, and we just want you to give a
- 5:18Speaker 1: quick guess about who might have said it. So up
- 5:21Speaker 1: first this one, I'm gonna s word all over. I mean,
- 5:32Speaker 1: is it me or is it the not so former hallmarketer?
- 5:36Speaker 1: At this point do we have a guess? I mean,
- 5:40Speaker 1: it's kind of it's obviously it was me. Yeah, gimme yeah,
- 5:44Speaker 1: And she did, all right. I wanted to feel some
- 5:47Speaker 1: conflict about her falling for someone else. So do we think, Yeah,
- 5:52Speaker 1: I really hate the I'm leaving my husband because I'm
- 5:55Speaker 1: actually more in love with other person trope. Even though
- 5:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna defend it here, but I was a little
- 6:00Speaker 1: bit like, I mean, it's Tyler and Aaron. It's kind
- 6:03Speaker 1: of hard to not defend it a little bit, all right,
- 6:07Speaker 1: final quote, My goodness, Tyler Hines like that. Dude's just
- 6:10Speaker 1: down right attractive. Who said it? Said it? Y'all, it's
- 6:18Speaker 1: a trick question. Do you know who said that? It
- 6:22Speaker 1: was actually Panda? I think you're right, he speaks for
- 6:31Speaker 1: all of us. All right, it is time for first impressions. Whnny,
- 6:38Speaker 1: what's your first impression? Second time around? Of it was
- 6:41Speaker 1: always you. Well, it turns out all it takes is
- 6:44Speaker 1: Tyler Hines to unrival your entire life plan. I did
- 6:50Speaker 1: skip one of our quotes. That's okay, because the only
- 6:54Speaker 1: reason I go back to it is because my first
- 6:56Speaker 1: impression reference is that we said this in the episode
- 6:58Speaker 1: we were y'all. It's so embarrassing if you really sto
- 7:02Speaker 1: that episode, the way we fall all over ourselves over
- 7:06Speaker 1: Tyler Hines. I said, are we Heine's you guys? This
- 7:10Speaker 1: was early on, this was the origin story. Is I
- 7:15Speaker 1: kind of dogged on Tyler Hines a lot when I
- 7:17Speaker 1: started this, and I've come to love him, like, I
- 7:20Speaker 1: really like him a lot, and so, but it was
- 7:23Speaker 1: this movie that I was like, oh my god, I
- 7:26Speaker 1: think I'm turning into a Heinie. Yeah. In this episode,
- 7:30Speaker 1: Wendy famously we're, you know, running down the Tyler faxxson.
- 7:33Speaker 1: She goes, is he married? And my response is, I
- 7:35Speaker 1: don't know, but we are all right back to first impressions,
- 7:42Speaker 1: mine is to answer our own question. I guess we
- 7:45Speaker 1: are Heine's because I'm willing to forgive us straight up
- 7:48Speaker 1: emotional up there. All right, let's talk about what we
- 7:52Speaker 1: liked about this movie Wendy Well on second rewatch my notes.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I'm a little bit embarrassed. It is
- 8:01Speaker 1: I wrote down Tyler Hines Golden Delicious Apple. I want
- 8:05Speaker 1: to take a bite out of Wait the first time, No,
- 8:10Speaker 1: this is time. Oh that looks good. I mean, you know,
- 8:21Speaker 1: I'm sil regarding There's some funny story. And Meg and
- 8:23Speaker 1: I were on the Hallmark Cruise last year and Tyler
- 8:26Speaker 1: was there and I really wanted to meet him in person.
- 8:31Speaker 1: But I got elbowed in the head by a lady
- 8:34Speaker 1: who was maybe thirty years older than I was, and
- 8:36Speaker 1: I was like, I'm out, I can't do it. I'm
- 8:39Speaker 1: not gonna fight over this man. They were throwing elbows.
- 8:41Speaker 1: They were throwing elbows, and Meghan did get in, so
- 8:43Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm a quitter. I'm not a quitter. Look,
- 8:48Speaker 1: I was in Christmas Jammy's on the Hallmark Cruise and
- 8:50Speaker 1: I was getting that photo. It's blurry because people were pushing,
- 8:54Speaker 1: but I got the photo Golden Delicious Apple. Well. Look,
- 8:59Speaker 1: my first like is along the same lines. And in
- 9:02Speaker 1: our first review, as mentioned, we did kind of fall
- 9:04Speaker 1: all over ourselves at our adoration of Tyler Hans and
- 9:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it again. He is at peak charming
- 9:10Speaker 1: in this movie, like this is the peak. It's it's wild.
- 9:15Speaker 1: It's zero percent surprising watching this that he had Lizzie
- 9:19Speaker 1: willing to dump George on the side of the road.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I mean, guy me. Yeah. I think he walks this
- 9:27Speaker 1: line between snarky because he can kind of be like
- 9:31Speaker 1: a you know, he pokes the bear a little bit,
- 9:33Speaker 1: which I'm into, but he's swoony like a pro. Yeah. Yeah,
- 9:41Speaker 1: this is this is why they brought us onto the network,
- 9:43Speaker 1: because they needed more women to fall all over these dudes.
- 9:47Speaker 1: This is his sorely lacking on deck the Hallmark except
- 9:50Speaker 1: when pandas around. Apparently, look, Aaron and Tyler are a
- 9:56Speaker 1: match made in Hallmark Heaven. In my opinion, we do
- 10:00Speaker 1: have them reuniting in a movie this year. Do we
- 10:03Speaker 1: know that Christmas Above the Clouds a Peter Benson directed
- 10:06Speaker 1: movie I'm Super Excited shot largely or entirely or partly
- 10:10Speaker 1: in an airplane, And oddly with the timing of this episode,
- 10:14Speaker 1: they're also like teasing like, oh, we're open to the
- 10:17Speaker 1: idea of and it was always you follow up, I'm
- 10:20Speaker 1: not into it, No, I don't. I don't like seq
- 10:22Speaker 1: we don't need it. No, I don't like sequel, she says.
- 10:25Speaker 1: In a year, we're heading into so many sequels. It's
- 10:29Speaker 1: gonna be a rough here. Yeah. Hey, for me, the
- 10:31Speaker 1: heart of the story is thanks Mom. The heart of
- 10:36Speaker 1: story here is Elizabeth realizing that she is not living
- 10:40Speaker 1: the life she wants to live. And I like movies
- 10:44Speaker 1: that are like that where they we get some rom calm.
- 10:49Speaker 1: But there's this big epiphany and I was into it
- 10:54Speaker 1: this second time around. Yeah, she realizes who she is. Yeah,
- 10:58Speaker 1: you didn't like that. I didn't. You didn't like it
- 11:02Speaker 1: at the expense of George. I didn't not like it.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I just didn't focus on it. Usually I do, But man,
- 11:08Speaker 1: I was just like, these still were so cute to
- 11:11Speaker 1: go just we're so charmed, weren't you? I really want Okay?
- 11:14Speaker 1: What else did you like? The fake Bachelor scene while
- 11:16Speaker 1: they reading popcorn? I mean, okay, I got some rapid
- 11:19Speaker 1: fire small likes. First up, the look that David asked
- 11:23Speaker 1: Tyler gives Lizzie in the ice cream shop when she's
- 11:26Speaker 1: making her completely wild ice cream order. It's this, like,
- 11:30Speaker 1: are you kidding me? It's my favorite it's like it's
- 11:34Speaker 1: even my husband laughed up at the party. When they
- 11:39Speaker 1: realize that someone has spilled the beans about the surprise party,
- 11:42Speaker 1: Louise immediately assumes it's I'm wrong. David takes credit for it,
- 11:48Speaker 1: and Louise goes, David, how you and his response is,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I'm a terrible person. What do you want from me?
- 11:53Speaker 1: Tyler has this ability to throw away a line. It's
- 11:56Speaker 1: one of the things he does best. I it laughed
- 11:59Speaker 1: out loud. Have a question for you, Yeah, do you
- 12:02Speaker 1: think do you think Tyler is just being Tyler? I
- 12:06Speaker 1: don't you know him? Don't you brand? Okay? Do you
- 12:10Speaker 1: know him? Oh? Hi hi hi quote golden Delicious apple? Okay?
- 12:20Speaker 1: Is is that like how he is in just real life?
- 12:23Speaker 1: Just he's just just Tyler? So he's he's being himself
- 12:27Speaker 1: when he's acting interests, so no one stands a chance, basically,
- 12:31Speaker 1: is what you're saying. He does the same thing with
- 12:35Speaker 1: the line not the time Joe when the DJ tries
- 12:38Speaker 1: to solicit a deposit from Lizzie after their peaked emotional
- 12:41Speaker 1: moment slow dancing in the garage. Final small funny moment
- 12:47Speaker 1: when Lizzie scans Tyler. They're registering she's the best, and
- 12:53Speaker 1: then she scans Tyler like it's so good. It's also
- 12:56Speaker 1: so bad because she's registering for a wedding to another man,
- 13:00Speaker 1: but it's so good. I loved it. I lolled actually
- 13:04Speaker 1: when I was watching it. I thought that was real
- 13:06Speaker 1: good what I was doing. I like the grandma she
- 13:12Speaker 1: I mean, she doesn't mince words here at all. She
- 13:14Speaker 1: thinks George is an income mooove, if I recall. But
- 13:18Speaker 1: then she gives that really great story about the zing
- 13:22Speaker 1: and we're going to talk more about it, but you
- 13:25Speaker 1: know that special spark between people, and she tells about
- 13:28Speaker 1: how she was dating a guy that everybody thought was
- 13:33Speaker 1: perfect for her, the right cleaner, but they didn't have
- 13:36Speaker 1: that zing. So yeah, I think they do a really
- 13:41Speaker 1: nice job setting up all of the reasons why Elizabeth
- 13:43Speaker 1: and George should not get married. Now, don't worry. I
- 13:47Speaker 1: do agree she should have broken it off with them
- 13:49Speaker 1: way earlier than this. But they do give you a
- 13:52Speaker 1: lot of compelling reasons why these two should not end
- 13:55Speaker 1: up together. I have one final, like real smart move
- 14:02Speaker 1: on their part to make Lizzie go away for a
- 14:04Speaker 1: year find yourself. Then she comes back, they have their
- 14:10Speaker 1: zing moment, and the most boring dentist in the world
- 14:15Speaker 1: and his hygienist, who he was obviously in love with
- 14:18Speaker 1: from the very first moment of this movie, are already together,
- 14:21Speaker 1: so you feel really great about them having that moment together.
- 14:26Speaker 1: But let's talk about our wishes. So if you're not
- 14:29Speaker 1: familiar with the show, the wishes categories are nice way
- 14:32Speaker 1: of saying of the stuff we didn't like about this movie.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna like a little bit. Yeah, i'mn'a let you
- 14:37Speaker 1: run with it because I know you have a whole bunch. Okay, well,
- 14:40Speaker 1: oh I got a lot. Are you ready? I'm ready?
- 14:43Speaker 1: And I'm actually gonna hold off on the main main
- 14:46Speaker 1: complaint here because I think we need to talk about
- 14:48Speaker 1: the timeline. It's two months before their wedding and they're
- 14:50Speaker 1: just having an engagement party. What is happening. They haven't registered,
- 14:54Speaker 1: they haven't planned a honeymoon, they're flying home for an
- 14:57Speaker 1: engagement party. It makes no sense. It makes no s sense.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You are obviously not planning to get married to each other. Also,
- 15:04Speaker 1: Elizabeth is the worst secret keeper ever. She has a
- 15:08Speaker 1: typed out itinerary of the weekend in the biggest letters
- 15:12Speaker 1: ever written. Mom's surprise. Don't look at this so dumb
- 15:17Speaker 1: hands it to the mother? What are you? No? Worst? Yeah?
- 15:21Speaker 1: I agree? You know, for me, Elizabeth, she's a hard
- 15:24Speaker 1: sell because she's so rigid. I had a hard time Rudy,
- 15:30Speaker 1: you are Elizabeth one hundred percent? Would you order? You
- 15:35Speaker 1: don't even eat ice cream? So would you order ice
- 15:37Speaker 1: cream like that? I mean I've ordered, I've had some
- 15:41Speaker 1: odd orders. No, I wouldn't order ice cream like that
- 15:43Speaker 1: because my biggest fear in life is inconveniencing somebody. Sure,
- 15:47Speaker 1: so I'd be like, I will eat the food that
- 15:49Speaker 1: will poison me if I have to. You're funny. It's
- 15:52Speaker 1: hard to root for her when she's so type hay. Yeah,
- 15:57Speaker 1: like when she blows up in him when he's I
- 15:59Speaker 1: mean him blasting music in the middle of the night
- 16:01Speaker 1: is not super cool, but she fully loses it. She
- 16:05Speaker 1: means business. Yeah, loved it. Relatable. All right, let's talk
- 16:12Speaker 1: about the elephant in the room. I need to tell
- 16:13Speaker 1: you that we have a listener of our show, listener Paula,
- 16:16Speaker 1: who has so many times begged us to revisit this movie,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and she's like, you're gonna see it through different eyes.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Our memory of it was like she leaves her fiance,
- 16:26Speaker 1: that's not that great. She's like, please rewatch it. George
- 16:28Speaker 1: is not that great. Okay. I think this is a
- 16:32Speaker 1: real case of two things can be true. Okay, George
- 16:35Speaker 1: is not that great. He's boring, but she is engaged
- 16:40Speaker 1: to him. Okay, so he is a total wet blanket
- 16:46Speaker 1: as am I. We're gonna get into it. But he
- 16:51Speaker 1: also doesn't deserve Elizabeth getting so deep with David, like
- 16:54Speaker 1: having the it's an emotional affair, like they are dating
- 16:58Speaker 1: each other. They're on the couch eating p watching The Bachelor,
- 17:02Speaker 1: show me the man that Well, look, my husband got
- 17:06Speaker 1: in deep with Love Island with me this season, so
- 17:07Speaker 1: I guess there's but that's dating behavior. Okay. But like
- 17:13Speaker 1: every one of my points against their affair has a counterpoint,
- 17:17Speaker 1: Like George should know she's not really in love with
- 17:20Speaker 1: him because the way she says he is blaming this
- 17:22Speaker 1: on George. Listen to me, we're gonna fight. No, I'm
- 17:28Speaker 1: not blaming it on George.
- 17:29Speaker 2: I'm just saying, does George want to realize the way
- 17:34Speaker 2: she says his name, it's like she's talking to adult Okay, George,
- 17:38Speaker 2: whatever you want, George.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It's like she's talking to like the annoying next door
- 17:43Speaker 1: neighbor who's like, you left your trash cans out an
- 17:46Speaker 1: extra hour and they're like, okay, George. That's how she
- 17:48Speaker 1: talks to him. Okay, but it's not his fault. I
- 17:53Speaker 1: didn't say it's his well, okay, wait didn't. She has
- 17:56Speaker 1: definitely got eyes for David, but there is obviously something
- 17:59Speaker 1: going on with him, and the hygienis to George, and
- 18:02Speaker 1: the hygienis yes. But when Lizzie recognizes that this is
- 18:11Speaker 1: not the relationship she wants to be and she needs
- 18:13Speaker 1: to end, it goes on way to Whiche's fault. I'm
- 18:19Speaker 1: trying to have a conversation here, all right, No, it's
- 18:22Speaker 1: not George's fault. I agree with you. There's also a
- 18:26Speaker 1: scene though they're at the house together and they both
- 18:28Speaker 1: they walk into the room from separate angles, and she
- 18:31Speaker 1: sees George and she flinches. It's real quick, but it's
- 18:34Speaker 1: like very telling about like how much she hates this man.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I mean, come on, that the brother is hotter than
- 18:44Speaker 1: the dude she's engaged to. Well, objectively, he is also
- 18:49Speaker 1: one more bad thing. George calls her she's out with David,
- 18:52Speaker 1: and she declines his call and David tells her to
- 18:57Speaker 1: do it. Like David is not you know, David? Is
- 19:01Speaker 1: it oor? Okay? Question, I hear he's trash. Question. Are
- 19:11Speaker 1: you assigning equal blame here? Or is Elizabeth Moore at
- 19:14Speaker 1: blame because she is the one who is engaged between
- 19:18Speaker 1: David and and Lizzie? Yeah? Uh, they're both equal? Yeah? Okay, wait,
- 19:23Speaker 1: I'm hearing who thinks it's equal? Loudly? Who thinks Lizzie's
- 19:29Speaker 1: more to blame? It's like a smaller but louder crowd
- 19:33Speaker 1: that thinks Lizzie's more to blame? If if if David,
- 19:39Speaker 1: that's that's it. He's the brother, right, if he was
- 19:42Speaker 1: not the brother, if he's a random dude, I feel
- 19:45Speaker 1: like it's like ten percent blame or zero, right, Like
- 19:48Speaker 1: what does he have? But it's his brother? Okay, I'm not.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I don't. I don't actually it's all bad. I don't
- 19:55Speaker 1: actually care who's they? What he knows? Oh, don't put
- 20:06Speaker 1: that in the text? Brand, Brand, do you have any
- 20:12Speaker 1: more wishes? Just like want to just talk about Louise
- 20:16Speaker 1: and Eugene? Is that his name the mailman. You know.
- 20:21Speaker 1: So this is a classic Hallmark b storyline here, which
- 20:25Speaker 1: I was like, I don't care about these people, but
- 20:28Speaker 1: obviously we have to give me more Tyler. Yeah, that's
- 20:31Speaker 1: exactly what I was saying. Can we have more Tyler?
- 20:34Speaker 1: But of course we need it because we need to
- 20:36Speaker 1: get Lizzie back to their home at the end for
- 20:39Speaker 1: their wedding. Yeah. Yeah, it just was boring, I thought, Yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 1: I mean, it's just filler. It's fine, right, that's all
- 20:47Speaker 1: all right, it's time for digit see that now. In
- 20:50Speaker 1: this portion of our episode, we talk like true like bloopers,
- 20:53Speaker 1: but it's also just like stuff we want to talk about.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we're gonna talk about that dog. The dog.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Where did the dog go? Is my number one? Did
- 21:05Speaker 1: you see that? Now? You can see here there's a shot.
- 21:08Speaker 1: You got a picture. You don't got a picture illegally
- 21:11Speaker 1: taking a photo of my television because you cannot screenshot.
- 21:16Speaker 1: When David and Lizzie go run wedding errands, she's like,
- 21:20Speaker 1: you stay in the car, and he does not listen.
- 21:22Speaker 1: So he gets out of the car with Tilly and
- 21:24Speaker 1: he walks, he walks the dog. He's like, we're gonna
- 21:26Speaker 1: We're gonna go meet up with him. We never see
- 21:28Speaker 1: the dog again. In the next scene, he's inside the bakery,
- 21:33Speaker 1: they go register, they drive home. We even have a
- 21:36Speaker 1: shot of them driving in the car without the dog.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Did he drop her off at the pound? Tyler would
- 21:44Speaker 1: never he his trash? Where did Tilly go? Did they
- 21:49Speaker 1: lose their their dog handler? They're required on set? Did
- 21:53Speaker 1: did Tilly max out her hours? Max stops time her out?
- 21:59Speaker 1: I don't know. But where'd she go? I don't know
- 22:02Speaker 1: if it's a she, where'd they go? Okay? I have
- 22:06Speaker 1: one when they're in the oyster pie place and she's
- 22:11Speaker 1: finally served her piece of pie. It's on a real plate,
- 22:14Speaker 1: but it's served with a wooden spork, And I know
- 22:18Speaker 1: this isn't like things that you would typically pick up,
- 22:20Speaker 1: but I was like, that's so random. But this was
- 22:23Speaker 1: during COVID protocol, and I was like, is that why?
- 22:26Speaker 1: Because she eats the pie in the scene? Right, you know,
- 22:30Speaker 1: they just have disposable flatware and allowed to use regular
- 22:33Speaker 1: flatware during that time, Russians haven't brought out real menu,
- 22:36Speaker 1: so I don't know, you haven't you served me pie
- 22:38Speaker 1: with a wooden spork? I'm leaving, oh oh, that we
- 22:43Speaker 1: also sensory thing, all right. I am ninety nine point
- 22:46Speaker 1: nine percent certain that this set that is Lizzie's apartment
- 22:49Speaker 1: and the set that is the home store are the
- 22:51Speaker 1: same place. It was hard to catch an image. I
- 22:56Speaker 1: believe it in my heart to be true. And when
- 22:57Speaker 1: you look at the she's only in hen apartment in
- 22:59Speaker 1: the very beginning in the movie, it's the greenery in
- 23:02Speaker 1: her apartment is like huge floral arrangements everywhere you turn.
- 23:07Speaker 1: It's a little shocking for like just a single woman.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I mean, the floral budget would have been huge. And
- 23:13Speaker 1: then they've got those iron windows. Hard to tell here,
- 23:16Speaker 1: I'm a chandelier in her apartment like that, or that's
- 23:19Speaker 1: the homes her apartment shots are real tight. It's like
- 23:22Speaker 1: real tight on her, real tight on her friend. So
- 23:26Speaker 1: it's hard to make it out. But and it's like
- 23:28Speaker 1: shot at different angles. You know, got it? But I
- 23:31Speaker 1: believe that to be true. Got it? Who has a
- 23:34Speaker 1: rabbit foot anymore? I definitely did, as you don't have
- 23:39Speaker 1: a rabbit foot like growing up? I mean I'm old,
- 23:42Speaker 1: so I know I had one too, But like gross,
- 23:47Speaker 1: it is kind of gross when you think about it.
- 23:49Speaker 1: It's super gross anyway, just random yes, nails at blas
- 23:57Speaker 1: kind an orange one. Look, I feel like we need
- 24:02Speaker 1: to add the popcorn eating scenes to the Tyler Hines
- 24:06Speaker 1: Toothpick candy Cane Hall of Fame, Like, does every Tyler
- 24:10Speaker 1: Hines movie need to feature like an iconic I am
- 24:13Speaker 1: talking with food in my mouth moment in a way
- 24:15Speaker 1: that is somehow not off putting. I feel like that
- 24:17Speaker 1: might be the origin story of the toothpick candy cane.
- 24:22Speaker 1: It was like, did somebody just make me go m
- 24:27Speaker 1: I think it was a shared experience. All right, Look,
- 24:32Speaker 1: we're gonna jump to our next fipe, which is brand new,
- 24:34Speaker 1: specific just to this movie. It's called so Relatable. Hold On,
- 24:38Speaker 1: hold on, Sorry, no, my ball, as mentioned, George is
- 24:49Speaker 1: a wet blanket. But you know what, so am I
- 24:51Speaker 1: because we're gonna lighten things up with a list of
- 24:53Speaker 1: moments where I felt seen in this movie and George
- 24:56Speaker 1: as man, Wait a minute, you relate to George? Are
- 24:59Speaker 1: you No, you're Lizzy? You told me you were Lizzy earlier. Okay,
- 25:03Speaker 1: go ahead. It's like she doesn't pay attention. I don't
- 25:05Speaker 1: go ahead. I am both of them. Look It's not
- 25:08Speaker 1: just that George is a bud buzzkill. George is not
- 25:10Speaker 1: completely in the wrong because a six week honeymoon is outrageous.
- 25:14Speaker 1: You're jealous. Who can who has six meets? I haven't
- 25:17Speaker 1: moon budget. Dentists, thank you, thank you, but they can
- 25:22Speaker 1: take six weeks off without getting paid. It seemed like
- 25:25Speaker 1: their practice was like me and getting all right, Maybe
- 25:28Speaker 1: I am jealous. I don't have six week honeymoon budget.
- 25:31Speaker 1: So I also don't want to go on vacation for
- 25:34Speaker 1: six weeks. You don't want to be with your husband
- 25:36Speaker 1: for six weeks? I don't do I. So it's okay.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I don't want to be I like my house. I
- 25:45Speaker 1: like my own house and my own bed and my
- 25:47Speaker 1: own shower. That's all I like home. Elizabeth at one
- 25:51Speaker 1: point says I love a schedule meeting. Tell me about it.
- 25:55Speaker 1: She also says I don't like rule breakers me too.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I mean rough take for her. You took pictures this girl.
- 26:06Speaker 1: What is this called? I don't tell anybody. It's not plagiarism.
- 26:10Speaker 1: What is this called copyright? Nobody's gonna see it with
- 26:14Speaker 1: the people in this room. Okay, uh, that's right. As mentioned,
- 26:19Speaker 1: Elizabeth pops out her mouthguard or her retainer in the
- 26:21Speaker 1: middle of the night when she wakes up. I mean,
- 26:23Speaker 1: as a girl who lives and die but dies by
- 26:25Speaker 1: her mouth guard. Relatable like can you do anything until
- 26:27Speaker 1: you get that? Although we didn't get the uh saliva string?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, if you guys missed that earlier, Yeah, thank
- 26:34Speaker 1: you for that visual. I mean, I don't think it's
- 26:37Speaker 1: possible to do it without it. The oyster restaurant that
- 26:41Speaker 1: George can't stand because it's so annoying. It is annoying.
- 26:44Speaker 1: That bell ringing constantly. That's annoying. It's fun. Look, first
- 26:50Speaker 1: of all, that restaurant has entirely too many rules to
- 26:52Speaker 1: be fun. Do not tell me what I can and
- 26:54Speaker 1: says the girl who likes rules. What is happening here? Yes?
- 27:03Speaker 1: I contain multitudes. Look, if you serve, don't make me
- 27:07Speaker 1: like complete a quest in order to order pie. Finally,
- 27:11Speaker 1: I love George's line when she suggests, perhaps ziplining. Do
- 27:16Speaker 1: you know how many people die? Oh own ziplines? Neither,
- 27:18Speaker 1: but it's probably a lot. I love it. He's like, mat,
- 27:21Speaker 1: maybe it's not fatal, but I don't care. People probably
- 27:24Speaker 1: die a lot. Love it. Love it Megan, all right,
- 27:28Speaker 1: I'll talk about her next segment. Yes I do. We're
- 27:31Speaker 1: gonna play games called zing or nosing, so we need
- 27:34Speaker 1: your help. Brand. All right, Look, we're gonna show you
- 27:40Speaker 1: some classic Hallmark couplings and we want to hear from you.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Do you believe these couples have zing or nosing? Let's
- 27:49Speaker 1: hear it for Andrew Walker and Nikki Delouch. Look at
- 27:54Speaker 1: number one fan right here, We got the pillow. All right,
- 27:59Speaker 1: Next time zinger nosing. Brand's going hard for Brennan and Lacy.
- 28:08Speaker 1: All right, Next up, we're gonna fight if we have
- 28:11Speaker 1: a different opinion on this next one fire zing If
- 28:16Speaker 1: I'm right by your Christopher Plah and Joe Wagner, we
- 28:21Speaker 1: just finished wrapped up Mystery one on one. We're not okay.
- 28:30Speaker 1: You warned us we weren't ready. Finally, yeah, Marcus and
- 28:41Speaker 1: Britney so fun. All right, are you ready to rate
- 28:48Speaker 1: this movie? I am for the second time. I gave
- 28:51Speaker 1: it the first time. It wouldn't even matter because we
- 28:54Speaker 1: changed our rating system halfway, so it's it's completely irrelevant.
- 28:57Speaker 1: All right. I gave it three and a half stars.
- 29:00Speaker 1: I think there's better and I think that movie is
- 29:03Speaker 1: called Blind Day book Club. What? Wow? You think Blind
- 29:10Speaker 1: Day book Club is better than it was? Always you? Yes,
- 29:13Speaker 1: Bob book Yes? Why where did you read this one?
- 29:20Speaker 1: I give him for stars. Yoh look I'm a terrible person.
- 29:23Speaker 1: What can I say? It's a really good watch. Hey,
- 29:31Speaker 1: thank you for joining us for this those Girls Gone
