- 3:28I'm telling you,
- 3:29everybody deserves a bag like that.

- 3:35That's one of their slogans there.
- 3:38And I've got lots of their bags.
- 3:40And I won't say unfortunate.
- 3:42Fortunately, I've got lots of their bags.
- 3:44I've gone out and I was addicted to
- 3:46them for a little bit.
- 3:47So I've probably got about, I don't know,
- 3:49six or seven bags.

- 4:45Oh,
- 4:46I bet you I know why you guys
- 4:48are here so early.
- 4:50It could be because we're having the
- 4:52Quantico Marine Band.
- 4:53Their rock band is going to perform for
- 4:55us.
- 4:56I would say it specifically for us.
- 4:58It's not.

- 5:12But I'm telling you,
- 5:13it should be a good show.

- 5:17seven central time.
- 5:19That is that's when we're going to start
- 5:21the actual fireside chat portion.
- 5:23So it should be a good time.

- 5:26on and the crew will come on.
- 5:29It'll be a great time.

- 8:18time.
- 8:18Looking forward to it.
- 8:19And hopefully you guys enjoy it.
- 8:22If you can't hang out the whole time,
- 8:23that's okay.
- 8:24We're going to be here for a couple
- 8:27hours at least.
- 8:28So, you know,
- 8:30it's going to be a good show, man.
- 8:31I'm telling you.
- 8:32So what I'm going to do now is
- 8:34we're kind of getting close, I think.
- 8:37Or maybe they're just messing around.
- 8:39I was in a marine band a long
- 8:43time ago.
- 8:45Listen to that.
- 8:56Jamming.
- 8:56This is the rock band.
- 8:57Listen to that.
- 9:03They can play any type of music.
- 9:05It's truly amazing.
- 9:06But marine bands, that's where they're at,
- 9:09man.
- 9:20There's some awesome, awesome, awesome.
- 9:23And they're out there.
- 9:27They're having a good time getting ready.
- 9:28It looks like we'll mute them a little
- 9:31bit.
- 9:32We'll just wait for a minute or two.
- 9:34Let's see what else is happening out here.
- 9:37Well,
- 9:37I hope that everybody showed up with your
- 9:40favorite beverage.
- 9:41This may not be my favorite,
- 9:43but it's up there.
- 9:44It's at the top.
- 9:47So hopefully you're out there enjoying
- 9:49your favorite beverage.
- 9:50It's coming up.
- 9:51Fourth of July is right around the corner.
- 9:53I'm telling you, man, Fourth of July,
- 9:54two hundred fifty years.
- 9:55It's it's it's humbling, man.
- 9:58I think back over my time that I've
- 10:00been on this this wonderful earth.
- 10:02and in this great country and uh i've
- 10:05had some great experiences i've i've been
- 10:08and played i've probably played music on
- 10:09just about every single fourth of july uh
- 10:13pro well at least uh since i joined
- 10:16the military so twenty five years i
- 10:18probably every fourth of july i played a
- 10:20concert somewhere um so uh we celebrated
- 10:23it and uh went out and performed so
- 10:26I'm used to it.
- 10:27And every single time that we go out
- 10:29and we perform for the birth or the
- 10:33independence for our country,
- 10:34I'm telling you, I get chills.
- 10:36I get excited.
- 10:38This great nation is incredible.
- 10:40I'm telling you,
- 10:41there's nothing like it in the world.
- 10:43I might be a little biased,
- 10:44but that's OK.
- 10:46America,
- 10:47that's what I got to say about that.
- 10:48I think it's the greatest country ever.
- 10:52on earth and uh if you don't think
- 10:54that well i'm sorry uh you should we're
- 11:02still waiting for them uh yeah it's the
- 11:05greatest country on earth we're doing some
- 11:07great stuff let's see what else do we
- 11:09have going on here in the near future
- 11:12We're looking for veterans to tell their
- 11:13stories.
- 11:14We're always looking for veterans to tell
- 11:15their stories.
- 11:17You know, come on, come on the show.
- 11:19Tell your story.
- 11:20Let's get it archived.
- 11:21One of the greatest things that I think
- 11:24that we're moving to when it comes to
- 11:26this nonprofit is we're building right
- 11:30now.
- 11:30We're currently building this,
- 11:31but an archive where you can go in
- 11:34and type in.
- 11:36I want to hear somebody from World War
- 11:37Two.
- 11:39And it'll populate and Robert Weber's name
- 11:41will pop up and then you'll be able
- 11:43to go watch his episode.
- 11:44So we are actually in the middle of
- 11:47doing that right now.
- 11:48Hopefully, fingers crossed, knock on wood,
- 11:50say a prayer and say, well,
- 11:52at least in the next month,
- 11:53we should have that up and going,
- 11:55hopefully.
- 11:57But it's going to be fantastic if we
- 11:59do.
- 11:59I'm so excited about that.
- 12:01And then we're going to branch out.
- 12:02We're going to actually start asking folks
- 12:05out there to...
- 12:09or other people that are recording these
- 12:10stories and things like that,
- 12:12we're going to ask them to send it
- 12:13here.
- 12:14We're going to put it in that archive.
- 12:16And then hopefully what will happen,
- 12:18they search the stuff,
- 12:19it'll populate for their show,
- 12:21and then it'll send them to their website.
- 12:23Not my website.
- 12:24It'll send it straight to theirs.
- 12:26And if you're out there,
- 12:27you got a podcast,
- 12:28you got anything like that and you want
- 12:29to do something like that,
- 12:30be more than happy to have you.
- 12:33The most important thing is archiving this
- 12:34stuff.
- 12:35We want to be able to be there
- 12:36for researchers.
- 12:37We want it to be there for family.
- 12:38We want it to be there for future
- 12:39generations.
- 12:40Right.
- 12:41But we want these stories there so people
- 12:43can actually get a grasp of what it's
- 12:46like.
- 12:46Right.
- 12:46What it is actually like in the military
- 12:49and everybody's individual experiences
- 12:51from their point of view.
- 12:52very important but if you're out there and
- 12:54you have a pod military podcast and you
- 12:56want to put your stuff on here it's
- 12:57free of charge i ain't gonna charge you
- 12:58nothing you just uh give me your stuff
- 13:00your transcripts i'll put it up it'll
- 13:02bloop bloop fill in all the information
- 13:05and then you'll get get on there whenever
- 13:06you type that stuff in bloop it'll
- 13:08automatically send them to your show so
- 13:10it's going to be a fantastic thing once
- 13:12it's up and running i'm excited about that
- 13:14man i hope you guys are excited about
- 13:16it
- 13:18They are shredding right now,
- 13:21getting ready.
- 13:23But man, holy cow,
- 13:24I've got like two minutes is what mine
- 13:25says.
- 13:26I don't know what theirs says,
- 13:28but it's getting close.
- 13:29We'll see.
- 13:31We'll see what they gots to say.
- 13:37Anyways,
- 13:38I'm going to stop right here in just
- 13:40a minute,
- 13:41and you don't have to listen to me
- 13:42for an hour.
- 13:43You can just sit back, relax,
- 13:44enjoy the fact that I'm going to be
- 13:47on the block here in a minute.
- 13:48I'll just let you know.
- 13:55Right.
- 14:21You just go in and watch.
- 14:22It's pretty cool.
- 14:33For those of you that are out there,
- 14:35and you're actually musicians,
- 14:38and have been in the military,
- 14:39whether that's Marine, Army, Navy,
- 14:42Air Force, whatever.
- 14:43Doesn't matter what branch of the service.
- 14:44If you, except maybe Space Force,
- 14:47because I don't think they have a band.
- 14:48But if they do, somebody correct me.
- 14:50I don't know.
- 14:51But if you're out there,
- 14:53you're a musician, hopefully...
- 14:55Your when you see this,
- 14:56you're going to be like, yeah, that's it.
- 14:58This is what we do.
- 14:59This is it.
- 15:00This is why we do what we do.
- 15:01And it's a good, good, good,
- 15:03feel good story.
- 15:05Right.
- 15:05That's what America needs more.
- 15:07These feel good stories,
- 15:09these things that are going to lift us
- 15:11up,
- 15:11make us positive and get us excited about
- 15:14life.
- 15:15Right.
- 15:15We don't want none of that negative crap.
- 15:17We can get that out of here.
- 15:17You know what I'm saying?
- 15:20So we're getting close here.
- 15:24So what I'm going to do is I'm
- 15:25going to pull myself out and you guys
- 15:29can watch Quantico Marine Band as they get
- 15:32ready to perform.
- 15:33And we're just going to watch it and
- 15:35I'm going to shut up.
- 15:36Thank you.
- 15:37Thanks for tuning in.
- 15:55Thank you.
- 16:58Thank you.
- 18:23All right, I'm back.
- 18:24I don't know what they're doing.
- 18:26It all went silent.
- 18:27They turned it all off,
- 18:28so we couldn't hear it.
- 18:31Oh, they tripped a breaker.
- 18:32That's what happened.
- 18:32Okay, all right.
- 18:34It's going to be a few minutes before
- 18:35we get back on.
- 18:36They tripped a breaker.
- 18:37Oh, my goodness.
- 18:38Well, hey, you know what?
- 18:40Adapt, overcome.
- 18:42That's okay.
- 18:42We can make it happen.
- 18:45I know what I can do.
- 18:47Linwood has joined us already.
- 18:49I can grab him and bring him on
- 18:50real quick.
- 18:51Linwood, man, how you doing?
- 18:54I'm doing all right.
- 18:56I know the feeling of tripping breakers,
- 18:57brother.
- 18:58It happens all the time with me.
- 18:59It does happen.
- 19:02From what I heard, they sounded good.
- 19:05Yeah, yeah.
- 19:06They got to fix the breaker thing and
- 19:07then we should be good to go.
- 19:09They're bringing too much power.
- 19:11That's all it is.
- 19:11Too much power.
- 19:12Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:12There's nothing wrong with a little too
- 19:14much power.
- 19:16But I'm excited, bro.
- 19:17I'm so happy to be here with you.
- 19:19So what's going on?

- 19:24Nice.
- 19:26Yeah.
- 19:26So I sound good on my end, man.
- 19:29And you're going to be coming on and
- 19:31performing about what?
- 19:32Thirty minutes worth of music for us at
- 19:33the end.
- 19:34Yes.
- 19:35Yes, sir.
- 19:35I'll be doing about thirty minutes worth
- 19:37of music.
- 19:38Tell us a little bit about you.
- 19:40Let's do it.
- 19:40I'm excited to do it.
- 19:42Tell us a little bit about you.
- 19:44Let the folks out there know a little
- 19:45bit about you.
- 19:46Well, you know what?
- 19:47I was stationed in Quantico at one time.
- 19:49Early on in my Marine Corps career,
- 19:52I was attached.
- 19:53I was at Fort Belvoir,
- 19:55but I was attached to Quantico, so...
- 19:57I only went there one time.
- 19:58And you know what I did?
- 19:59I went there to see dental and I
- 20:01was checking out.
- 20:01I got PCS to Camp Pendleton.
- 20:05And I was I was nineteen years old,
- 20:06twenty years old, young man.
- 20:08And I went to see dental to check
- 20:09out.
- 20:10I was checking out a dental.
- 20:11I show up there.
- 20:12I said, sir,
- 20:13can you sign my paper so I can
- 20:14go to I got to go to the
- 20:15next place?
- 20:16And he looked at it and goes,
- 20:17you know what, Marine?
- 20:19you need all four of your wisdom teeth
- 20:20pulled out.
- 20:23Excuse me, sir.
- 20:24He goes, yeah, you know what?
- 20:25While you're here,
- 20:26let me pull out all four of your
- 20:27wisdom teeth.
- 20:28That way you don't have to be doing
- 20:29it on ship when you go to the
- 20:31West Coast.
- 20:31And I was young.
- 20:32I didn't know better.
- 20:34Is my camera messing up?
- 20:35I don't know if my camera's messing up
- 20:36or not.
- 20:37But I didn't know better.
- 20:38And I went ahead.
- 20:40I couldn't tell him no.
- 20:41I did it.
- 20:42He pulled all four of my teeth out,
- 20:44bro,
- 20:45and sent me straight to the Quantico
- 20:47Hospital to get my meds.
- 20:49And I drove there, right?
- 20:50I was a kid.
- 20:51And I remember sitting,
- 20:53waiting for my meds,
- 20:54and someone tried to talk to me.
- 20:56And the drool came out of my mouth
- 20:59when I was, you know,
- 21:00because I couldn't talk.
- 21:02And my whole face was numb.
- 21:04But that's my Quantico memory, man.
- 21:06They freaking took all four of my wisdom
- 21:08teeth out in one pop.
- 21:10No planning, no mindset,
- 21:13getting ready for it.
- 21:14You just show up there and they did
- 21:16it.
- 21:16And that Dennis was raring to go.
- 21:20He was excited.
- 21:21I was wondering,
- 21:22did they get paid extra to just pull
- 21:24wisdom teeth out?
- 21:25Like, hey.
- 21:26Pulled their teeth out,
- 21:26you get some extra pay to do that.
- 21:28Yeah, maybe.
- 21:29Maybe.
- 21:30I wonder how much they get per wisdom
- 21:32tooth, you know?
- 21:33Right.
- 21:35It's like forty bucks or something.
- 21:37Possibly.
- 21:37But, you know,
- 21:38I think he was practicing on me.
- 21:40I think, you know,
- 21:41they had some practice and they were like,
- 21:43yeah, let's just practice on that guy.
- 21:44That that that makes a lot of sense.
- 21:48All right.
- 21:52I like I like D.C.
- 21:53area, man.
- 21:54I love it out there.
- 21:55You know,
- 21:56I was just talking about this earlier.
- 21:57There are so many military bands in the
- 21:59D.C.
- 22:00area.
- 22:01It's really amazing.
- 22:02And anybody, anybody that goes to D.C.,
- 22:06they need to go and figure out what
- 22:08bands are performing up there.
- 22:11I mean,
- 22:11they're truly amazing what they do.
- 22:13Incredible musicians.
- 22:16But yeah,
- 22:16anybody may go out and check them out.
- 22:18They got some good stuff out there.
- 22:19I'm going to be spending more time.
- 22:22I've been to D.C.
- 22:23probably five times the past.
- 22:25two years just because my daughter my
- 22:28daughter just married an airman she's she
- 22:31married an airman out there last the
- 22:32beginning of the month so we're out there
- 22:34at the beginning of the month uh so
- 22:36i love dc man i love the area
- 22:37i mean being stationed i was there for
- 22:39a year and uh i liked it i
- 22:42like fort belvoir i like the potomac river
- 22:45yeah yeah do you think um so did
- 22:49they tell you what happened they just blew
- 22:50a breaker
- 22:51Yeah, he messaged and said, hold on.
- 22:54He said, we just tripped the breaker.
- 22:56It's going to be a few minutes before
- 22:58we get back on.
- 22:59So we're just waiting right now.
- 23:02Whenever you do a production like that,
- 23:04man, you never know.
- 23:06Oh, yeah.
- 23:07There's always something that goes wrong.
- 23:11You're always playing somewhere new.
- 23:13So one place will be able to take
- 23:14it.
- 23:15The other place won't.
- 23:16Yeah.
- 23:17Yeah.
- 23:18And having the right generators and this,
- 23:22that's a whole nother,
- 23:24field of you know knowledge you need just
- 23:26to be a musician or yeah you know
- 23:29anytime you're doing any type of
- 23:30production work especially like what
- 23:31you're doing with the uh with this event
- 23:33it takes a lot of planning and network
- 23:36and you know depending on the technology
- 23:40but you handle it well brother you're
- 23:42doing awesome man hey man i just said
- 23:45i just sit back here and hit buttons
- 23:46and hope for the best you know i'm
- 23:50learning i'm trying to figure out why is
- 23:51it so zoomed in on my face
- 23:53Oh, I, it's the view that I have.
- 23:55Hold on.
- 23:56If we can pull it back out.
- 23:59I'm wondering if there's some on my end.
- 24:01Let me, let me try.
- 24:01Cause I'm like, man,
- 24:03I know I got to lose some weight,
- 24:04but come on now.
- 24:10Is that better?
- 24:11That's a little better.
- 24:12Yeah.
- 24:12That's a little bit.
- 24:14Yeah, man.
- 24:14That's, that's, that's, I like, you know,
- 24:17the military bands or even the army has
- 24:20a good band.
- 24:21There was a cat here in San Antonio
- 24:23who was a killer guitarist.
- 24:25Everyone wanted him.
- 24:27And I'd hire him to play lead with
- 24:28me once in a while.
- 24:29And an Air Force recruiter literally went
- 24:32and got this kid to join the Air
- 24:34Force.
- 24:35And now he's one of the main guitarists.
- 24:37He goes all over the world playing guitar
- 24:39in the Air Force.
- 24:41he's amazing and he i see his social
- 24:43media posts and they they pick some high
- 24:45talent man the military don't mess around
- 24:47when it's when it's developing and picking
- 24:49out talent and wow yeah they i'm telling
- 24:52you the musician and it's gotten better
- 24:54and better like when i when i first
- 24:55came in uh the i would say the
- 24:59musicianship maybe uh on an individual
- 25:02level wasn't as high as some of the
- 25:04cats coming in now yeah these guys coming
- 25:07in now are just
- 25:08beast, man.
- 25:09But these are guys,
- 25:10a lot of them have degrees and been
- 25:12out playing and performing all kinds of
- 25:14places.
- 25:15I mean, it's, it's truly amazing.
- 25:17I have a sax player.
- 25:18His name is Richard.
- 25:21What's his last name?
- 25:22Payne, Richard Payne.
- 25:24His last name is Payne.
- 25:25He was in the army.
- 25:28And he got out of the Army.
- 25:29No, he was in the Marine Corps first.
- 25:30He joined the Marines,
- 25:31graduated boot camp,
- 25:32was in the Marine Corps,
- 25:33got out of the Marine Corps on an
- 25:35early – they released him early.
- 25:36They let him out early because his father
- 25:38had passed away.
- 25:39And then he joined the Army,
- 25:40and he joined the Army band.
- 25:42And this guy is an amazing sax player,
- 25:47and he plays the keys.
- 25:48So he's super talented.
- 25:50Yeah.
- 25:50And I met him doing stuff for River
- 25:53City Rock Fest and Spurs Entertainment a
- 25:55few years back.
- 25:57And the talent, bro, in military,
- 26:01people don't realize the amount of
- 26:04knowledge you got to have just to get
- 26:06in there to try out.
- 26:07Oh, yeah.
- 26:08Yeah, that's true.
- 26:09It's not an easy audition.
- 26:10I can tell you that.
- 26:11Really?
- 26:11Yeah.
- 26:12Yeah.
- 26:13Well, especially for drummers.
- 26:14Drummers have to play everything, right?
- 26:16We have to play the melodic instruments,
- 26:18right?
- 26:18The xylophone, all that stuff.
- 26:20We got to be able to play the
- 26:21drum set and all the different drums.
- 26:23So when we do an audition, it's,
- 26:25you know,
- 26:26forty five minutes to an hour of
- 26:28auditioning where a lot of people go in
- 26:29and like ten minutes later, they're done.
- 26:32But drummers, man,
- 26:34they're going and going and going.
- 26:36Wow, man.
- 26:37I imagine that's tough,
- 26:38but it's a good gig, though.
- 26:41I think it'd be a good gig.
- 26:43be able to get out there and play
- 26:44music and get paid to play that's awesome
- 26:47oh man it was a fantastic gig is
- 26:50my camera doing that is it yeah it
- 26:53might be the connection um to be honest
- 26:56with you okay because i finally figured
- 26:58out how to go from my computer to
- 27:01my iphone and then i have another camera
- 27:04that i can switch to which of them
- 27:08i mean it seems like it's doing okay
- 27:09it's just every now i mean your audio
- 27:11comes through just fine man
- 27:16Now you're further away.
- 27:20So I'll go back to this one.
- 27:22But I'm learning the cameras.
- 27:24So this is the close-up one.
- 27:26But I'm also realizing, bro,
- 27:28that I've gained some weight, man.
- 27:30I'm looking at these videos and I'm
- 27:31thinking, man,
- 27:32I got to start working out again.
- 27:36I quit working out last October because I
- 27:37hyperextended my knee and I couldn't run
- 27:40or do anything.
- 27:41And then I just fell off the wagon,
- 27:42bro.
- 27:43It happens, man.
- 27:45You know,
- 27:47I was going to say I didn't work
- 27:49out pretty much at all once I retired,
- 27:52but it was before I retired.
- 27:53I'm going to be honest with you.
- 27:54I kind of stopped about a year before.
- 27:57Yeah.
- 27:57As much as I could, at least.
- 28:00And I blossomed a little bit,
- 28:02I will say.
- 28:03It happened.
- 28:05You look like you've been trimming down,
- 28:06though.
- 28:07I have been, yeah.
- 28:10No, I still don't.
- 28:16Nope.
- 28:17Sorry.
- 28:18Yeah, I am trimming down a little bit,
- 28:20which is a good deal.
- 28:22So if we can keep going in that
- 28:24direction, we're doing all right,
- 28:25you know.
- 28:27So I shaved the other day on my
- 28:30wife's birthday.
- 28:31I was actually going to ask you about
- 28:33that.
- 28:33I haven't shaved in fifteen years.
- 28:36And I could have swore I was better
- 28:38looking, bro.
- 28:39I mean, I thought when I shaved,
- 28:41I'd be like, man,
- 28:42I'm going to look so good.
- 28:43I would tell everybody the reason why I
- 28:44didn't shave is because I looked so good.
- 28:45My wife was just going to shave, bro.
- 28:48Oh, there we go.
- 28:50I'm going to let you go, brother.
- 28:51I'll be watching.
- 28:51All right, man.
- 28:52We'll see you in a bit.
- 28:53I'll see you in a bit.
- 28:54All right, man.
- 29:01I wonder, that's what we've become.
- 29:06Problems, are mentally numb.
- 29:13Crazy, just cannot be.
- 29:20I'm living with something,
- 29:22that just isn't there.
- 29:27No wounds, no healing,
- 29:30who am I to blame?
- 29:33I'm going off the rails on a crazy
- 29:41train.
- 29:41I'm going off the rails on a crazy
- 29:43train.
- 30:02Thank you.
- 30:03Hope you're out there getting some good
- 30:04grub in the nice shade.
- 30:06It's pretty hot out, ladies and gentlemen.
- 30:12We are so glad you're here.
- 30:29Please, baby,
- 30:31can't you see my mind's a part of
- 30:34hell?
- 30:34I know it's a little rippin', tearin',
- 30:37and strippin' my heart apart as well.
- 30:42Tonight you told me that you had some
- 30:44news.
- 30:47That some other woman is lookin' like
- 30:49somethin' that might be a dream.
- 30:54Go on and hold that till the steamin'
- 30:56is gone.
- 31:02It's a world where nothing's wrong.
- 31:05But I'm a lonely boy,
- 31:08I want to pass the fire for you.
- 31:10And I'm a lonely boy,
- 31:11I've got my desire for you.
- 31:25The demons that you're hiding from With
- 31:28all your promises so cold
- 31:52and arms and skin won't make it go
- 31:55away.
- 31:56You'll wake up tomorrow and wrestle the
- 31:59sorrow that brings you down.
- 32:01On and on until the screaming is gone.
- 32:04You'll go on and on, but you're guilty.
- 32:07Nothing wrong without the open door.
- 32:08The one that brought survival to you.
- 32:26Drowning my desire for you
- 33:15Go on and hold her till the screaming
- 33:18is gone.
- 33:20Go on,
- 33:21believe her when she tells you nothing
- 33:24more.
- 33:24But Eddie,
- 33:27you're the one who walks across the fire
- 33:30with you.
- 33:37And Eddie, you're the one.
- 33:50oh yeah
- 34:41I'd like to welcome Sassart Thayer back to
- 34:43the stage to lead us in this next
- 34:44tune.
- 34:46Thank you, Sergeant Peterson.
- 34:49All right, Quantico.
- 34:51One of the best things about being on
- 34:53a Marine Corps base is we're all from
- 34:55all around, but music brings us together.
- 34:58So please, help me out here.
- 35:00Sing along.
- 35:04Heading down south to the land of pine,
- 35:07thumbing my way into North Carolina.

- 35:12got icy headlights.

- 36:14the guitar,
- 36:16I pick a band up now
- 36:19Oh,
- 36:20North Country winners keep on getting in
- 36:22town.
- 36:23Lost my money playing poker,
- 36:25so I had to leave town.
- 36:26But I ain't turning back to living that
- 36:29old life no more.
- 36:33So rock me, mama, like a wagon wheel.
- 36:36Rock me, mama, any way you feel.

- 38:53Thank you.
- 38:55Now, of course,
- 38:55we're going to keep this country train
- 38:57rolling.
- 38:57We can't have country music without little
- 38:59Toby Keith.
- 39:00He's one of my personal favorites.
- 39:01So he's here for you.
- 39:06American girls and American guys will
- 39:11always stand up and salute.
- 39:13We'll always recognize when we see your
- 39:17glory fly.
- 39:19there's a lot of man dead soon as
- 39:22we could sleep at peace and not when
- 39:24we lay down
- 39:28My daddy served in the army when he
- 39:31lost his right eye,
- 39:33but he flew a flag out in our
- 39:34yard till the day that he died.
- 39:37He wanted my mother, my brother,
- 39:39my sister,
- 39:40and me to grow up and live happy
- 39:43in the land of the free.
- 39:46Now this nation that I love is falling
- 39:48under attack.
- 39:49A mighty sucker punch can fly in there
- 39:52through somewhere in the back.
- 39:54Soon as you could see it clear through
- 39:56our big black eye,
- 39:58then we lit up your world like the
- 40:01Fourth of July.
- 40:03And you could stand with my name at
- 40:04the top of his list, and he stands,
- 40:05you will not miss.
- 40:14And it's gonna be hell When you hear
- 40:17brother freedom start ringing the bell And
- 40:21it feels like the whole wide world is
- 40:24raining down on you
- 40:51Justice will be served and the battle will
- 40:55rage.
- 40:56This big dog will bite when you rattle
- 40:59his cage.
- 41:01You'll be sorry not to miss me.
- 41:03The U.S.
- 41:05of A. We'll put a boot.
- 41:14I stand with my name at the top
- 41:16of his list,
- 41:17and the statue of liberty's gonna take it
- 41:20up there.
- 41:22And he's gonna fly,
- 41:23and it's gonna be hell.
- 41:26And he's gonna be the star of every
- 41:29hotel.
- 41:30It's like the whole wide world is raining
- 41:33down on you.
- 42:06We're going to pick it up a little
- 42:07bit around here.
- 42:17All right, everyone.
- 42:19I see everyone over there.
- 42:21It's all right that you're over there.
- 42:22You can get in the shade.
- 42:23I'm jealous.
- 42:24But it's okay.
- 42:25I want you to get up, though,
- 42:27and high energy with us.
- 42:29We feed off that energy.
- 42:30Let's go.
- 42:30I don't mind Letting it down easy But
- 42:31just give it time
- 42:52So what you gonna do when nobody wants
- 42:56to move with you?
- 43:27What you gonna do?
- 43:59What you gonna do when nobody wants to
- 44:02move with you?
- 44:07And it's funny living in a big world

- 1:24:21Now and then, when I see her face,
- 1:24:29she takes me away to that special place.
- 1:24:31If I stay too long,
- 1:24:33I'll probably break down and die.
- 1:24:40So long, I want to turn my mind.
- 1:24:58She's got eyes of the blue and the
- 1:25:10sky is in vain, far away.
- 1:25:14I came to look into those eyes and
- 1:25:18see them down so big.
