- 0:07Speaker 1: Let's dive in to a little bit of the political
- 0:09Speaker 1: landscape today, and of course that will be with John Deeton.
- 0:11Speaker 1: It's going to be a good one. This is probably
- 0:13Speaker 1: the most important political race out there, so you definitely
- 0:17Speaker 1: want to pay attention. My name is Paul Barrew, Welcome
- 0:19Speaker 1: back in the tech path. Before I get started, I
- 0:22Speaker 1: want to thank our sponsor, and that is Tangent. If
- 0:24Speaker 1: you're looking at self custody, which is important because Elizabeth
- 0:27Speaker 1: Warren likes to take away self custody. So get your
- 0:30Speaker 1: start right here with Tangum. Go over tangum dot com.
- 0:33Speaker 1: You can get your own wallet. This is a physical
- 0:35Speaker 1: wallet that works in tandem with a app, and of
- 0:38Speaker 1: course it's very easy to use, super simple to set up,
- 0:42Speaker 1: and it'll start your self custody journey. So use them.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Use our link down below. Just to help the channel,
- 0:47Speaker 1: we've done a couple of videos for you guys. As
- 0:49Speaker 1: you saw this last week, we talked and most of
- 0:52Speaker 1: this was covering the two debates that Deaton. John Deaton
- 0:57Speaker 1: had had a chance to basically go head to head
- 0:59Speaker 1: with Warn and we had different takes on each one.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Go back and watch those videos, you guys will get
- 1:05Speaker 1: a lot of really good clips of understanding a lot
- 1:08Speaker 1: about what's happening today. We'll break into that. I want
- 1:11Speaker 1: to start off the show today with a couple of clips,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and this is of course Deaton talking about crypto overall.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Take a look, every time I post something about you
- 1:21Speaker 2: or retweet something about you, I get overwhelmed on my
- 1:24Speaker 2: X account by crypto pitches. I've actually had to mute them, which,
- 1:28Speaker 2: if you know me, I rarely ever do.
- 1:31Speaker 3: So if you were to look at Sue's X feed,
- 1:33Speaker 3: you'd forgive her for thinking that some of these folks
- 1:36Speaker 3: are single issue voters and it's just the crypto issue.
- 1:39Speaker 4: How do you translate your stance.
- 1:41Speaker 1: On crypto and your role in this sort of emerging
- 1:44Speaker 1: field to other issues.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Well, you know that's been the challenge because unfortunately crypto
- 1:49Speaker 5: has taken way too much of.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Time and energy.
- 1:53Speaker 5: If you were to ask everyday people here in the
- 1:56Speaker 5: Commonwealth to name the top ten issues, are sure you
- 2:00Speaker 5: crypto is not one of them.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So of course we look at it maybe a little
- 2:05Speaker 1: bit differently than what John's talking about. We're going to
- 2:07Speaker 1: grill him on that one. This is Perry Ann. We've
- 2:10Speaker 1: had her on This is coming from the block digital Chamber,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I should say, and Perryon breaks it down a little
- 2:15Speaker 1: bit further into maybe that crypto voters are being underestimated.
- 2:19Speaker 3: To take a look, I would love to introduce America
- 2:22Speaker 3: to the crypto voter block because I think most people
- 2:24Speaker 3: have underestimated the power of crypto at the polls. We're
- 2:28Speaker 3: releasing our national survey today and we found that one
- 2:31Speaker 3: in seven active voters, not registered voters, these are the
- 2:35Speaker 3: people most likely to show up to the polls, are
- 2:37Speaker 3: saying that crypto will play a significant influence in who
- 2:41Speaker 3: they are going to vote for at the polls, both
- 2:44Speaker 3: for the president as well as for congressional seed.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Somebody made a comment there are more people in the
- 2:49Speaker 1: US that own crypto than dogs, and.
- 2:52Speaker 6: If that is true, wow, that's a pretty remarkable amount.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Having a high time believing that.
- 2:58Speaker 3: The last comprehensive stuff he was done in January of
- 3:01Speaker 3: this year by coinbase and they said fifty two million
- 3:03Speaker 3: Americans own cryptocurrency today, and that was released in January,
- 3:08Speaker 3: and of course the spot bitcoin ETFs launched a couple
- 3:11Speaker 3: of weeks after that, and we've had record inflows billions
- 3:14Speaker 3: of dollars of inflows into the ETF sent so I
- 3:16Speaker 3: actually think that's a conservative measure.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Wow.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Interestingly, four out of ten Black Americans are very pro crypto,
- 3:25Speaker 3: and crypto will be a determining factor at the polls
- 3:28Speaker 3: for Black America.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to have to say, I think with
- 3:32Speaker 1: perry An's statement there. Of course, the research they've been
- 3:34Speaker 1: doing also just what we see in terms of new
- 3:37Speaker 1: people coming onto our own channel. As you guys know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: when we first started our own journey, we were at
- 3:42Speaker 1: about two hundred thousand subs. We've blasted past six hundred
- 3:45Speaker 1: thousand subscribers, a lot of which have been new people
- 3:48Speaker 1: looking for answers around what's going on with crypto. Joining
- 3:51Speaker 1: me today, of course is one of the big leaders
- 3:54Speaker 1: out there in that area, and that's mister John Deton,
- 3:56Speaker 1: us Senate candidate right there. How are you I'm.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Doing grade bought? How are you? Excellent? Excellent?
- 4:03Speaker 1: So we had a chance to watch two fun filled
- 4:07Speaker 1: and fact filled debates that I think a little bit
- 4:11Speaker 1: the first one was a little bit different. Second one,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I think you actually wiped the floor with Senator Warren
- 4:16Speaker 1: without without a doubt. So I was kind of sad
- 4:19Speaker 1: that we didn't see as many people watching that one,
- 4:22Speaker 1: just because of I think the company that was or
- 4:24Speaker 1: the news outlet that was broadcasting it. So I want
- 4:28Speaker 1: to get into some of the details today. And first
- 4:31Speaker 1: of all, when you get past that, in terms of
- 4:35Speaker 1: the positions that Massachusetts voters are taking now, you stated
- 4:39Speaker 1: Earl there in that first clip that you felt like,
- 4:41Speaker 1: maybe it's not an issue right now with voters. Do
- 4:44Speaker 1: you feel any different now? I don't know if that
- 4:47Speaker 1: was a clip from a couple of weeks. No, No,
- 4:48Speaker 1: maybe there's more people.
- 4:50Speaker 4: No.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Let me explain what Perry Ann said is very consistent
- 4:54Speaker 5: with what I see.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Right.
- 4:56Speaker 5: So, for example, I believe Massachusetts has seven million people,
- 5:01Speaker 5: so it's not the biggest date, right.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Seven million.
- 5:04Speaker 5: I believe coinbase has about eight hundred thousand customers, and
- 5:09Speaker 5: we've estimated that at least two hundred thousand others are
- 5:13Speaker 5: have exposure to cryptos, So that's one out of seven.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Very consistent with what Perry Anne said. What I was doing,
- 5:20Speaker 5: you got to understand also, was Senata Warren's trying to
- 5:24Speaker 5: make me the one that the only thing I care
- 5:27Speaker 5: about is crypto. And so what I was saying is
- 5:30Speaker 5: that if you ask people in Massachusetts what bothers you?
- 5:34Speaker 4: What are you concern with?
- 5:35Speaker 5: They would bring out the fact that the migrant crisis
- 5:38Speaker 5: is bankrupting us because we have a right to shelter
- 5:41Speaker 5: law that doesn't require residency, so any migrant that shows up,
- 5:46Speaker 5: it's on government dime, taxpayer money feeding housing, all of that.
- 5:50Speaker 5: And so it would be that and the fact that
- 5:52Speaker 5: Massachusetts the second most expensive state to live in now
- 5:55Speaker 5: for working people. So what I was really trying to
- 5:58Speaker 5: point out, it's very nuanced, is that why is she
- 6:01Speaker 5: focusing her reelection on crypto right when people are worried
- 6:07Speaker 5: about other things? Why are you banning trying to ban
- 6:10Speaker 5: an industry when they can't pay their rent, the inflation
- 6:15Speaker 5: is crushing them, and the migrant crisis is destroying our state.
- 6:19Speaker 5: And so that's really was the main local argument that
- 6:23Speaker 5: I was making. I do believe looking at what Crypto's doing,
- 6:28Speaker 5: stand with crypto and whatnot.
- 6:30Speaker 4: If Brian Armstrong is.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Correct and that the battleground states that crypto voters, single
- 6:39Speaker 5: issue voters on crypto could be between one and two percent,
- 6:45Speaker 5: that's the election, Paul. If you understood what the local
- 6:48Speaker 5: issues here in Massachusetts, it was me making a nuanced
- 6:52Speaker 5: argument that look, listen, why is she so hyper focused
- 6:55Speaker 5: on crypto?
- 6:55Speaker 4: Because I'm not.
- 6:56Speaker 1: This was the digital chamber right here, A pro crypto
- 6:59Speaker 1: stance would likely have a net positive effect on voting,
- 7:03Speaker 1: continuing to prove out that we're seeing a lot more
- 7:07Speaker 1: black voters that are going to come in and say
- 7:09Speaker 1: crypto is kind of one of the big factors right
- 7:11Speaker 1: there that play.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Can I interject? Can I interject why?
- 7:16Speaker 5: I want people to understand you know when I say
- 7:19Speaker 5: that I agree with you. Bitcoin and crypto to me,
- 7:22Speaker 5: represents freedom. It also represents the American dream. Because you
- 7:27Speaker 5: want to know, Paul, you and I I think are
- 7:30Speaker 5: I don't want to insult you, but I think we're
- 7:31Speaker 5: around the same age.
- 7:32Speaker 4: I'm fifty seven years old, right, and so.
- 7:36Speaker 5: In our generation, the American dream was you could buy
- 7:39Speaker 5: a house and you would pay it off and you
- 7:41Speaker 5: would have a savings account and you know a little
- 7:44Speaker 5: nest Egg or whatever. Well, you can't afford a house
- 7:47Speaker 5: it today. So to me, bitcoin in crypto is the
- 7:51Speaker 5: new American dream. And so it doesn't surprise me that
- 7:54Speaker 5: four out of ten black guys are like, hey, this
- 7:58Speaker 5: is a big deal to me. Because it represents the
- 8:00Speaker 5: American dream. And you know, Sanata Warren doesn't have a
- 8:03Speaker 5: problem go into the hood. I was in a diner
- 8:05Speaker 5: the other day in Roxbury and there was an ATM
- 8:08Speaker 5: for scratch tickets. Right people going there, they put in
- 8:11Speaker 5: twenty bucks, they get twenty dollars of scratch tickets.
- 8:15Speaker 4: No problem with that, Senator Warren.
- 8:17Speaker 5: But you don't want someone to self custody bitcoin while
- 8:19Speaker 5: the banks are actually getting the custody bitcoin. Her policies
- 8:24Speaker 5: actually don't help poor people or the middle class in
- 8:26Speaker 5: any way.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Well, I think that's the position that many of the
- 8:31Speaker 1: voters there in Massachusetts probably are starting to come to realize.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And it's kind of the future potential here because even
- 8:37Speaker 1: those who do not own crypto, you could probably simply say,
- 8:40Speaker 1: do you want the freedom to do that? Should you choose,
- 8:43Speaker 1: you know, to do it in the future. Trump and
- 8:45Speaker 1: Harris voters tend to think on their own, which I
- 8:47Speaker 1: think is the point I'm getting at. Their own candidate
- 8:50Speaker 1: is more supportive obviously with crypto than the opposing candidate,
- 8:53Speaker 1: that being Trump, and we're starting to see that spread
- 8:56Speaker 1: out in the polls as well. If you look at
- 8:58Speaker 1: polymarket and other things out there. I want to go
- 9:00Speaker 1: to a tweet that I thought was pretty interesting right here. This,
- 9:03Speaker 1: of course was Brian Armstrong agreeing that Massachusetts residents should
- 9:07Speaker 1: vote for you and cryptoholders in mass should realize that
- 9:11Speaker 1: Senator Warren is the only one who got against his job,
- 9:15Speaker 1: and of course right behind that is Elon Musk saying yes,
- 9:19Speaker 1: So looks like we have two pretty powerful individuals coming
- 9:23Speaker 1: in and supporting you right now. How much of an
- 9:25Speaker 1: impact do you think that might make? Because I think
- 9:27Speaker 1: you could also look at Cuban, who's been very anti
- 9:31Speaker 1: SEC that I assume would support you. That's very bipartisan.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Yes, I agree.
- 9:38Speaker 5: Listen, Mark Cuban and Elon Musk are going at it,
- 9:42Speaker 5: but they agree that I'm better from the country in Massachusetts.
- 9:46Speaker 5: And I think that says a big deal, right because
- 9:51Speaker 5: when you just add common sense approach someone who supports
- 9:54Speaker 5: freedom and pro innovation, I think I'm a uniter in
- 9:58Speaker 5: that sense. You know how much of impact it would have, Listen,
- 10:01Speaker 5: I appreciate it. We're talking greatest entrepreneur of my lifetime
- 10:06Speaker 5: who is endorsing me.
- 10:08Speaker 4: How welcome that?
- 10:10Speaker 5: And Mark Cuman, you know he's trying to disrupt the
- 10:14Speaker 5: pharmacy with his cost plus drug to really make a
- 10:17Speaker 5: difference in people's lives. I'm a big proponent of that,
- 10:21Speaker 5: and he has sort of educated me and helped me
- 10:23Speaker 5: on understanding how the three PBMs you know, have a
- 10:27Speaker 5: stranglehold on the market at eighty percent of all scripts
- 10:31Speaker 5: in America. So I really I have diehard Trump voters
- 10:35Speaker 5: voting for me, die hard Harris voters supporting me, and
- 10:41Speaker 5: I think that says a lot how much of impact
- 10:44Speaker 5: that we have. Listen, I certainly would welcome Elon to
- 10:47Speaker 5: come to Massachusetts and let's do a town hall together
- 10:51Speaker 5: right there.
- 10:52Speaker 4: And I as well, yeah for sure. Well.
- 10:56Speaker 1: One thing also that I think a lot of people
- 10:58Speaker 1: kind of miss is Senator Warren's track record, and one
- 11:02Speaker 1: of the things that she's been on record about is
- 11:04Speaker 1: privacy and data going against that. There's a lot of
- 11:07Speaker 1: people right now that are worried about the potential of
- 11:11Speaker 1: a ban on TikTok. And now this gets into the
- 11:14Speaker 1: younger crowd, including teens, but also a lot of people
- 11:17Speaker 1: really probably within Massachusetts might say, Okay, well this is
- 11:20Speaker 1: my own data. The potential of this could be in
- 11:24Speaker 1: a scenario that could go against what Senator Warren is
- 11:26Speaker 1: looking for. This is again freedom of information and protecting that.
- 11:31Speaker 1: It's likely that TikTok will most likely be divested here
- 11:35Speaker 1: in the US. If it is, it could possibly get
- 11:39Speaker 1: into a blockchain platform which would decentralize the data and
- 11:43Speaker 1: we could see one of our first decentralized social media networks.
- 11:46Speaker 1: What are your thoughts on that. Do you feel that
- 11:48Speaker 1: that's a good move right now or where do you say?
- 11:51Speaker 4: Yeah? I think listen.
- 11:53Speaker 5: One thing that surprised me is the Democratic Party used
- 11:56Speaker 5: to be the party of no wars and staunch defender
- 12:00Speaker 5: First Amendment, and now it seems like it's flip flopped,
- 12:03Speaker 5: you know, is all in on funding foreign wars and
- 12:10Speaker 5: will be much more restrictive of the First Amendment.
- 12:13Speaker 4: So you definitely want to realize that there.
- 12:17Speaker 5: Is any national security issue with our data with China
- 12:22Speaker 5: or someone, so I would certainly well, but we don't
- 12:25Speaker 5: ban it. We play safeguards in place the divation. What
- 12:28Speaker 5: you're talking about as far as divesting and then going
- 12:33Speaker 5: on the blockchain and becoming a decentralizing to me that
- 12:36Speaker 5: that just is an amazing kind of thought that we
- 12:40Speaker 5: could be headed that way. The bottom line is this
- 12:43Speaker 5: America has got to be the leader when it comes
- 12:47Speaker 5: to these technologies, artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, blockchain technology. We've
- 12:54Speaker 5: got to decide. If we lose this race, especially when
- 12:58Speaker 5: you're talking about artificial intelligence, we could literally really put
- 13:04Speaker 5: ourselves and rob our generations of future prosperity.
- 13:07Speaker 4: So we have to be the leader on this.
- 13:09Speaker 5: And we've got to get these elected people out, these
- 13:13Speaker 5: career politicians like Senator Warren. I mean, if I don't
- 13:17Speaker 5: beat Senator Warren six years from now at eighty one
- 13:20Speaker 5: years old, she'll probably run again, just like Bernie Sanders
- 13:23Speaker 5: is running again at eighty two years old, just like
- 13:26Speaker 5: Dianne Feinstein was ninety and in a wheelchair near death and.
- 13:30Speaker 4: They're willing her in to vote.
- 13:31Speaker 5: We've got to elect I think, new people with new ideas.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I'm going to agree with you. I want to play
- 13:38Speaker 1: a clip for you. This is Harris targeting sports, betting,
- 13:43Speaker 1: and video games, and I'll kind of explain this. Take
- 13:45Speaker 1: a look.
- 13:46Speaker 7: The Harris campaign is making an aggressive last minute effort
- 13:49Speaker 7: to win over younger male voters, investing in a series
- 13:53Speaker 7: of ads on male dominated sports and video game sites
- 13:56Speaker 7: like DraftKings and Yahoo's Sports.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Lay it on a tab before it's okay, what the
- 14:00Speaker 2: hell is going on here?
- 14:01Speaker 3: Because everybody's talking about it?
- 14:03Speaker 2: How real is it?
- 14:04Speaker 6: Is? It?
- 14:04Speaker 2: Bake?
- 14:05Speaker 4: What?
- 14:05Speaker 6: Just give me the tea. Clearly, Donald Trump is making
- 14:08Speaker 6: a whole strategy around appealing to young men. He wants
- 14:11Speaker 6: to flip them. We can't let that happen. Second, this
- 14:14Speaker 6: is not just a US phenomenon. This is happening across
- 14:16Speaker 6: the globe. Only thirty three percent of young men now
- 14:19Speaker 6: identify as Democrats. It's down from over forty percent in
- 14:23Speaker 6: twenty twenty. Republicans are outspending Democrats four to one when
- 14:27Speaker 6: it comes to targeting young men with online ads, and
- 14:30Speaker 6: that's ten to one in key swing states like Pennsylvania.
- 14:33Speaker 6: And we need to turn them out. This is a
- 14:35Speaker 6: persuadable group, but we can only persuade them if we
- 14:39Speaker 6: get in front of them.
- 14:40Speaker 7: I need you to just list the three states where
- 14:42Speaker 7: these young men represent a large proportion of the electorate.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin.
- 14:47Speaker 7: I mean, that is why we're having this conversation.
- 14:50Speaker 1: My hand hurt, all right, So you can kind of
- 14:53Speaker 1: see there's two big factors there one, of course, young
- 14:56Speaker 1: men drafting kings if you think about that, along with
- 14:59Speaker 1: Polly Marke. But all these are betting all that's crypto related.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Young men understand that. Then you get into the gaming sector,
- 15:06Speaker 1: which we all know, big launch of Off the Grid,
- 15:09Speaker 1: huge web three game now potentially going to be one
- 15:13Speaker 1: of the top games this year on the Epic Game Store,
- 15:15Speaker 1: meaning young gamers also interested in the future of crypto,
- 15:20Speaker 1: which are also all potentially going into the Republican slant.
- 15:24Speaker 1: This could be good for you, John, Younger men in
- 15:28Speaker 1: Massachusetts going about those areas, what do you think?
- 15:31Speaker 5: No, now it is you know, I'm doing real well polling.
- 15:36Speaker 5: I'm doing less well than I had hoped with women,
- 15:40Speaker 5: and it's only because they haven't found me enough, Like
- 15:43Speaker 5: they don't know me yet right. For example, if all
- 15:46Speaker 5: they see is I'm a Republican white male, they might
- 15:49Speaker 5: assume that I'm not pro choice when I am pro choice.
- 15:53Speaker 5: So once women get to know me, they do come,
- 15:56Speaker 5: including Democrats, come to support me. But I agree that
- 16:02Speaker 5: it's well, that it's good for me. But here is
- 16:05Speaker 5: a generational thing. At the end of the day.
- 16:07Speaker 4: If you look at Elizabeth Warren versus.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Representative Richie Torres, right, Richie Torres pro crypto, knows that
- 16:18Speaker 5: Gainstler's bad. Elizabeth Warren, they're both Democrats, wants to ban
- 16:23Speaker 5: the technology, and so we really do have a generational
- 16:26Speaker 5: divide here. But I think that there are a lot of
- 16:29Speaker 5: young people are making a difference, and a lot's going
- 16:33Speaker 5: to depend on the turnout and how big the turnout goes.
- 16:36Speaker 4: You know what I mean.
- 16:37Speaker 5: But I can tell you this when it comes to
- 16:39Speaker 5: the polling, and I've never BS. You know me, Paul,
- 16:42Speaker 5: your viewers know me. I don't get up here in
- 16:44Speaker 5: ibs or anything like that. If all the voters know
- 16:47Speaker 5: is John Deaton Republican Swansea Mass, Elizabeth Warren Democrat, Cambridge Mass,
- 16:53Speaker 5: I'll lose by twenty points. Once they learn that I'm
- 16:56Speaker 5: pro choice and I'm a veteran. Our polling show I'm
- 17:00Speaker 5: down seven points, just those two points, just those two things.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Once they get to know more about where I stand
- 17:06Speaker 5: on policy and all those types of things that I'm
- 17:09Speaker 5: in a common sense and the economy, then it becomes tight.
- 17:13Speaker 5: And so it really is about whether or not I
- 17:15Speaker 5: can reach enough voters in time to pull off a
- 17:19Speaker 5: huge upset to say the least.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Well, I think the key here is is that it's interesting.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I even made this statement when I watched the two debates.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Warren was really fighting in that debate, so it kind
- 17:33Speaker 1: of showed me that obviously she took you as a
- 17:35Speaker 1: serious contender and was worried about her current race. I
- 17:39Speaker 1: haven't necessarily seen her in that kind of position before.
- 17:42Speaker 4: So kudos.
- 17:43Speaker 5: No, no, you're right, But you want to know something that
- 17:46Speaker 5: I want everyone out there to know is that you can't.
- 17:50Speaker 5: We've cryptos here to stay, Paul, You and I know,
- 17:54Speaker 5: going back three four years ago, it didn't look so
- 17:56Speaker 5: great right for the industry.
- 17:58Speaker 4: It was doom and gloom.
- 17:59Speaker 5: And now you have both presidents trying to see who's
- 18:03Speaker 5: you know, Vice President Harris is doing a reset. Allegedly
- 18:07Speaker 5: Donald Trump said he's gonna make America the crypto capital
- 18:10Speaker 5: of the world.
- 18:11Speaker 4: So those two things are big.
- 18:13Speaker 5: But you notice when the moderator in the first debate
- 18:17Speaker 5: himself said to Senator Warren, basically, you were building an
- 18:21Speaker 5: anti crypto army, and you notice what she said.
- 18:24Speaker 4: She backed off and.
- 18:25Speaker 5: Goes, well, I don't care in mind if people lie,
- 18:28Speaker 5: and so we're already damaging that narrative that she started with.
- 18:33Speaker 5: And so you always have to strategically ask yourself, you know,
- 18:39Speaker 5: are you winning the ultimate war even if you're losing
- 18:42Speaker 5: some battles. And I think that we're winning the war,
- 18:45Speaker 5: you know what I mean? Freedom is going to win
- 18:46Speaker 5: out at the end of the day, no doubt.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I'm on your side. This is a this is an
- 18:51Speaker 1: interesting move, and I want to it has nothing to
- 18:53Speaker 1: do with Massachusetts, and I wanted your opinion on this is
- 18:55Speaker 1: talking about Chris Larson. He's one of the co founders
- 18:58Speaker 1: over at Ripple and he has put together a ten
- 19:01Speaker 1: million dollar Future Forward Fund super pac supporting Kamala Harris.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Why do you think Larson XRP Ripple going in on
- 19:11Speaker 1: supporting Harris?
- 19:12Speaker 5: What are your thoughts there, Listen, I can't really speculate.
- 19:17Speaker 5: I know this is what I want us to get
- 19:20Speaker 5: back to. I want us to get back to a
- 19:23Speaker 5: place where let's say that Paul Baron and John Deeton
- 19:27Speaker 5: don't agree on the president.
- 19:29Speaker 4: We may very well, but whatever say we don't. We
- 19:32Speaker 4: got to get back to.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Being able to say I disagree with who you're voting
- 19:35Speaker 5: for president, but I don't disagree with you, you know, I mean,
- 19:38Speaker 5: we've got to get back to that point. You know,
- 19:41Speaker 5: I think it's ironic.
- 19:42Speaker 4: I brought it up.
- 19:42Speaker 5: I don't know if you recalled it in the debate
- 19:44Speaker 5: where I said that, you know, if I don't sue
- 19:46Speaker 5: the SEC and help get XRP deemed legal, that donation
- 19:50Speaker 5: in XRP to your candidate or choice senator doesn't happen. So,
- 19:54Speaker 5: Madame Vice President, you're welcome, right, And so I think
- 19:59Speaker 5: it's come.
- 19:59Speaker 4: Along way though.
- 20:00Speaker 5: I would think just imagine we have both and I
- 20:05Speaker 5: tweeted this out today, we have both presidential candidates accepting
- 20:09Speaker 5: crypto donations through coin based commerce platform. Yet who has
- 20:15Speaker 5: the SCC Yeah, the SEC suing Coinbase for illegal business,
- 20:22Speaker 5: illegal business, when both presidents I also have coin based
- 20:26Speaker 5: commerce and accept crypto donations. So if you don't mind
- 20:29Speaker 5: me saying John datonfor Senate dot Com, please not at all,
- 20:33Speaker 5: absolutely all right, but anyways, yeah, that that isn't that
- 20:36Speaker 5: crazy though, If that doesn't show you how broken her
- 20:40Speaker 5: anti crypto army is, uh and how insane Washington's become
- 20:46Speaker 5: that both presidents accept crypto from Coinbase, yet Coinbase has
- 20:50Speaker 5: an illegal operation.
- 20:51Speaker 4: According to Gary Gensler. Yeah, exactly.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah, for you guys, want to check the website out,
- 20:56Speaker 1: John just mentioned it, John Datonfsenate dot com right there.
- 20:59Speaker 1: You guys can get in there and of course donate,
- 21:01Speaker 1: including crypto so and it's a good video to watch too.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I've watched this one. I think it's a good representation
- 21:07Speaker 1: of what you're standing for there in the great state
- 21:10Speaker 1: of Massachusetts, which are lucky to have you guys out
- 21:12Speaker 1: there running like this, going head to head with Senator
- 21:15Speaker 1: Warren So.
- 21:15Speaker 4: I think it's great.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I like that one. No fear and never give up.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I want to talk about a couple of things, and
- 21:20Speaker 1: that is polls, because I think there's a lot of
- 21:22Speaker 1: people in Massachusetts who are not showing up in the polls.
- 21:26Speaker 1: The polls actually you know, it's thirty four fifty six
- 21:29Speaker 1: if you go to five thirty eight. This could be
- 21:32Speaker 1: an easy miscarriage of a lot of votes that have
- 21:35Speaker 1: not necessarily come together just yet. This is the most
- 21:37Speaker 1: recent coming out of the WCVB poll and you can
- 21:41Speaker 1: see that on the five thirty eight blog if you
- 21:43Speaker 1: guys want to check it out. But if you look
- 21:44Speaker 1: at polymarket, it's a little different. I think that's more
- 21:47Speaker 1: of a situation of the size of the race. You know,
- 21:50Speaker 1: it's not a massive race, but it is an important
- 21:53Speaker 1: race in Senate, in the in the Senate race, especially
- 21:55Speaker 1: against Elizabeth Warren. So I think that's the factor that
- 21:59Speaker 1: you've got to overcome. Hopefully people are going to show
- 22:02Speaker 1: up here. I've got some cool data at the end.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I'm sure you're aware of it, but I don't think
- 22:07Speaker 1: our audience is aware of especially those of you in Massachusetts.
- 22:10Speaker 4: But I'll go to another.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Tweet right here. This to me was a low blow,
- 22:14Speaker 1: I thought, and that was coming in from Elizabeth Warren.
- 22:18Speaker 1: She had this ad ready to go. Literally, it was
- 22:22Speaker 1: cued up, ready to go.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Right after your debate.
- 22:25Speaker 1: So these are the kind of swamp creatures that we're
- 22:28Speaker 1: dealing with here, John.
- 22:30Speaker 5: Yeah, listen the bottom line. And I called her out.
- 22:35Speaker 5: You know, she plays politics, but you know I'm pro choice,
- 22:38Speaker 5: and she's still telling voters that she's literally misleading voters
- 22:43Speaker 5: that somehow I will help a federal abortion band. It
- 22:47Speaker 5: just goes to show you. You know, my daughters asked
- 22:49Speaker 5: me Paul not to run because they were like, politics
- 22:52Speaker 5: are nasty, Dad, and we don't want you know, you're
- 22:55Speaker 5: just too honest and it's not the world that you
- 22:58Speaker 5: should be a part of. They didn't want to see
- 23:00Speaker 5: the stuff that she's doing, but it's kind of desperate.
- 23:04Speaker 4: At the end of the day. Her fingerprint, her fingerprints
- 23:07Speaker 4: are on it. You know.
- 23:07Speaker 5: If she doesn't in two thousand and thirteen abolish the
- 23:12Speaker 5: filibuster rule, the Supreme Court wouldn't have gotten the justices
- 23:16Speaker 5: that they got and role would still be the law
- 23:19Speaker 5: of the land. So it just goes to show you
- 23:21Speaker 5: that truth never gets in Sara Warren's way.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Ever, moving on to the topic of the sec one
- 23:28Speaker 1: of your favorite topics and the potential of a Gary
- 23:32Speaker 1: Ginsler replacement. You've got a couple of people out there
- 23:35Speaker 1: that are playing into this, including what the scoop from
- 23:40Speaker 1: Laura Schen This is basically maybe Kamala Harris positioning a
- 23:44Speaker 1: couple of people. But one of course has been Chris Brummer.
- 23:47Speaker 1: You guys might remember him. We've covered Blueprint before and
- 23:51Speaker 1: this is one of the Web three So he's Web
- 23:53Speaker 1: three native. He kind of understands what's out there. Cuban
- 23:55Speaker 1: is connected with him. If you go further, you can
- 23:58Speaker 1: kind of see the relationship right there. On the task
- 24:01Speaker 1: force that was created already. Do you think Brummer would
- 24:05Speaker 1: be a good selection for the SEC You know, I.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Don't, I don't really, I really don't know Chris that well.
- 24:13Speaker 4: I've never met him.
- 24:14Speaker 5: I know that he's knowledgeable, but you know, we have
- 24:17Speaker 5: to be careful when we say, well, the person's knowledgeable.
- 24:20Speaker 5: Gary Ginsler was knowledgeable and he was a MIT and so,
- 24:25Speaker 5: but it's hard to imagine anything.
- 24:28Speaker 4: I would certainly go on record to say I believe
- 24:29Speaker 4: Chris bro would be a lot better than Gary Ginsler.
- 24:33Speaker 5: Now that's like someone saying John Deaton be a lot
- 24:35Speaker 5: better than Elizabeth Warren.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Right, it's so bad that anything is an improvement.
- 24:42Speaker 5: And so, but I would I would imagine with Mark
- 24:46Speaker 5: Cuban having a close relationship with him. You know, Mark
- 24:50Speaker 5: seems to believe you could take it or leave it,
- 24:54Speaker 5: that's your opinion and position. But he genuinely seems to
- 24:58Speaker 5: believe that Harris wants to do a reset. And so
- 25:03Speaker 5: the fact that they're leaking out potential replacements of Gensler,
- 25:07Speaker 5: you know, is maybe indicative that she's going to do that.
- 25:12Speaker 4: It's very difficult.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Listen, you got Anthony Scaramucci helping Vice President Harris. You
- 25:17Speaker 5: got Mark Cuban helping Vice President Harris. Both of them
- 25:20Speaker 5: are certainly crypto friendly, and so you would imagine, you
- 25:23Speaker 5: would imagine that they're in her ear, saying Gensler is
- 25:28Speaker 5: a problem. He is a real problem, and the fact
- 25:32Speaker 5: that she wants to do a crypto reset is a
- 25:36Speaker 5: repudiation of Elizabeth Warren and her anti crypto army, with
- 25:40Speaker 5: Elizabeth Warren now saying I don't mind if people own crypto.
- 25:44Speaker 5: I think people should feel confident that we are winning
- 25:48Speaker 5: the war.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Do you think that Harris would pull the trigger as
- 25:53Speaker 1: a last resort before the election on Gensler? Maybe as
- 25:59Speaker 1: a hail Mary?
- 26:01Speaker 5: I mean, if I were advising her, I would certainly say, listen,
- 26:07Speaker 5: if crypto could be a one percent difference in the
- 26:10Speaker 5: swing States, then you should come out right now and
- 26:14Speaker 5: say that, maybe even announce here are yeah, like I'm
- 26:21Speaker 5: going to replace him with one of these people or not.
- 26:24Speaker 5: Just come out and say that you're going to replace
- 26:27Speaker 5: Gary Gensler as chairman on day one of your presidency,
- 26:32Speaker 5: and that would send a message you have to show
- 26:35Speaker 5: some kind of action instead of just talk. People are
- 26:38Speaker 5: exhausted from the talk and so I think that that
- 26:41Speaker 5: would be smarter her. I'd be surprised if Mark Cuban
- 26:44Speaker 5: and Anthony Scaramucci don't say to her, Madam Vice President,
- 26:48Speaker 5: you really need to do this if you want to
- 26:50Speaker 5: send the message to voters, because I will tell you
- 26:54Speaker 5: I have had lifelong Democrat voters ask me one question,
- 27:00Speaker 5: like Johnna, you pro choice and I go yes. They're like, Okay,
- 27:03Speaker 5: then I'm voting for you because because they're crypto, like
- 27:07Speaker 5: it's a crypto person and they just want to make
- 27:11Speaker 5: sure I'm moderate on social issues. And once they find
- 27:13Speaker 5: out I'm moderate on social issues, then the crypto becomes.
- 27:17Speaker 4: The issue for the factor, Yeah, for sure becomes I'm looking.
- 27:22Speaker 4: I'm looking at the registered voters.
- 27:24Speaker 1: This is the party enrollment as of August twenty fourth
- 27:28Speaker 1: here in Massachusetts. I'll zoom in on this to show you.
- 27:31Speaker 1: But if you look at the data, that's voters right
- 27:33Speaker 1: there in the first column, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, and unenrolled.
- 27:36Speaker 1: The unenrolled number surprised me. Three point two million, four
- 27:40Speaker 1: to eighteen thousand Republicans. So the Democrats outweigh the Republicans,
- 27:45Speaker 1: but three point two million unenrolled that's a wide open
- 27:50Speaker 1: race if you can win any of that unenrolled.
- 27:53Speaker 5: So just so your voters know, Number one, mass Chusetts,
- 27:56Speaker 5: number one, sixty four percent are in dependent. They're called
- 28:01Speaker 5: unenrolled here, but it's independent voters. Twenty six ish percent Democrat,
- 28:07Speaker 5: only eight point something Republican. But yes, so I could
- 28:13Speaker 5: get every Republican vote and I'd get eight percent, right,
- 28:17Speaker 5: And so you have to appeal to that independent voter
- 28:22Speaker 5: here in Massachusetts. And Elizabeth Warren, the good news was
- 28:27Speaker 5: that in twenty eighteen she had fifty four percent of
- 28:32Speaker 5: the independence inclined to vote for her. We did a
- 28:35Speaker 5: poll that showed she was at thirty three percent, so
- 28:39Speaker 5: that she lost twenty two points off independence. If I
- 28:42Speaker 5: were to win the two other out of three independents,
- 28:46Speaker 5: I win. You know.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Now that's not to suggest.
- 28:48Speaker 5: I'm going to win them all, but I'm just telling
- 28:50Speaker 5: you that that shows you that it is achievable if
- 28:54Speaker 5: you can reach them.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a potential there. Well listen, John, We're pulling
- 28:58Speaker 1: for you, and of course we are putting out the
- 29:00Speaker 1: news the best we can make sure. If you are
- 29:02Speaker 1: not already checked out. John Deaton for Senate, go over
- 29:05Speaker 1: there and do that. You're doing great work out there.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Thanks for stopping in today. We appreciate it.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Thank you, Paul. Keep up to fight, brother, all right,
