- 0:00Speaker 1: On today's show, we'll tell you why the whole Walt
- 0:02Speaker 1: gup needs to stop until this red card BS is fixed.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Let's go roll the intro.
- 0:12Speaker 1: All right, all right, yo yo you, I'm into your
- 0:16Speaker 1: life from Philly.
- 0:17Speaker 2: It's the number one rated Polly and Tony Fosco show.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yo yo yo.
- 0:22Speaker 1: As always, Polly, fools go here with Tony, Folks go
- 0:25Speaker 1: with Donyo.
- 0:26Speaker 2: You know, mostly huge show today.
- 0:28Speaker 1: You know we're gonna get into the soccer mess and
- 0:30Speaker 1: fix it once and for all. We're gonna tell you
- 0:32Speaker 1: all the big winners and losers. Mostly losers were from
- 0:34Speaker 1: NBA Free Agency, and we'll tell you why Diana Rossini
- 0:38Speaker 1: is once again being unfairly targeted. But I did say,
- 0:42Speaker 1: you know, hint that we got some bad news that
- 0:44Speaker 1: Donny and well look there's the bad news back there.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Put the camera on them.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Our producer is back, even though nobody wants to me.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Unfortunately we were after firing him, we were unable to
- 0:57Speaker 1: find a replacement. And also he was apparently preparing to
- 1:00Speaker 1: sue us for creating a quote hostile work environment.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Oh whatever that is. But yeah, now he's back.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Congratulations, Yes, I'm back, and I should mention Fox Sports
- 1:13Speaker 3: Radio did give me a sizable raise.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Okay, well you know it's never seen a sizable raise
- 1:20Speaker 1: your penis.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Yeah, and don't worry, we'll be calling them after the
- 1:24Speaker 4: show and the temp agency two, so don't get don't.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Get too comfortable, exactly.
- 1:30Speaker 1: And on the subject to people who are terrible at
- 1:32Speaker 1: their jobs, you out there, if you're not going to
- 1:35Speaker 1: Apple Podcasts right now and leaving a review and then
- 1:38Speaker 1: hit and like and subscribe and also leaving a comment
- 1:41Speaker 1: on the YouTube, well you're just useless, aren't you?
- 1:44Speaker 4: Useless? Completely useless. This isn't free for your entertainment. You
- 1:48Speaker 4: got work to do.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Yeah, get to work anyway, all right, we got work
- 1:52Speaker 1: to do though, So we're going to get right into
- 1:53Speaker 1: it with our top story s.
- 1:57Speaker 2: All right, First out the gate.
- 1:59Speaker 1: USA soccer starf Falaren Belugan was unfairly given a red
- 2:03Speaker 1: card and removed from the matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina
- 2:06Speaker 1: and then the upcoming match first Belgium for apparently trying
- 2:10Speaker 1: to injure a player on the Bosnia soccer team, or
- 2:13Speaker 1: so they said.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Now hold on, the sport is called football, yep.
- 2:17Speaker 1: When a player's foot touches another guy's football somehow, that's
- 2:22Speaker 1: bad to me.
- 2:23Speaker 2: That should be the whole point of the sport, don't you.
- 2:25Speaker 4: A great DONI of course. And another thing that's confusing.
- 2:30Speaker 4: They call Floren Belugan the striker, but that's pretty vague.
- 2:34Speaker 4: If you ask me, are you basically telling him to
- 2:38Speaker 4: go out there and strike anything your ball?
- 2:41Speaker 2: Are the people their heads? You know?
- 2:44Speaker 4: If you called him the ball striker, then that's much clearer.
- 2:49Speaker 2: That's much clearer.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I was thinking of the same thing. And you know
- 2:51Speaker 1: they call some players attackers exactly. You're basically then telling
- 2:56Speaker 1: him it's okay to violently attack players on the other team,
- 3:00Speaker 1: you know.
- 3:01Speaker 4: You know, my biggest fear is that one day one
- 3:04Speaker 4: of these shooters is going to come to a game
- 3:07Speaker 4: with the machine gun and just start shooting at everybody.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Yep.
- 3:11Speaker 4: But if we just called them ball shooters, we could
- 3:15Speaker 4: get ahead of it and prevent such a tragedy.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Great point, Donny, And talking about tragedies. The other tragedy
- 3:22Speaker 1: here for Laura and Belugan cannot appeal the red card,
- 3:25Speaker 1: so now he's out for the next game no matter what.
- 3:28Speaker 2: And well, this is a disgrice isn't it, Dony.
- 3:31Speaker 4: You know there's one thing bigger than the rules of soccer,
- 3:35Speaker 4: the rules of our country, your laws. You know, we
- 3:38Speaker 4: have a thing called the United States legal system, which
- 3:42Speaker 4: guarantees everyone the right to appeal any verdict. You know,
- 3:47Speaker 4: it doesn't matter who you are, whether you're a soccer player,
- 3:51Speaker 4: an average citizen, or a twelve time convicted felon. I'd
- 3:56Speaker 4: be very worried about my rights and our country. That's
- 4:01Speaker 4: why I am calling on all our world leaders and
- 4:05Speaker 4: soccer coaches to refuse to let any more World Cup
- 4:09Speaker 4: games be played until this is adjudicated in a court
- 4:14Speaker 4: of law. I say, let's stop rooting for goals and
- 4:17Speaker 4: start routin for justice.
- 4:21Speaker 1: So beautifully said Dony. And you know another weird thing
- 4:24Speaker 1: that happened in this match. You see, well, Domino's Pizza
- 4:27Speaker 1: promise to give out a million dollars worth of freight
- 4:30Speaker 1: pizza if any US player got hit with a red
- 4:33Speaker 1: card during the World Cup. And now because of Falori
- 4:36Speaker 1: and Belugan's red card, well all these people are now
- 4:39Speaker 1: getting freight Bezza. And well, Dony, this is very suspicious,
- 4:42Speaker 1: isn't it?
- 4:44Speaker 2: One hundred percent?
- 4:45Speaker 4: How do we know the refs didn't just call a
- 4:48Speaker 4: red card in order to get free pizza, yep. I mean,
- 4:51Speaker 4: the economy is rough these days, and these World Cup
- 4:54Speaker 4: refs must be hurting for money because they only work
- 4:58Speaker 4: once every four years. You know, they must be struggling
- 5:02Speaker 4: to put food on the table. To me, it's clear
- 5:05Speaker 4: they called it because they're hungry and angry.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Let's just hope pizza.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Hut and sparrows don't start any similar promotions.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Fingers crossed on that, Tony Bild And well, let's look
- 5:18Speaker 1: at the bright side here, because to me, this win
- 5:21Speaker 1: by the United States was the most historic win in
- 5:24Speaker 1: World Cup history, because the United States didn't just beat
- 5:28Speaker 1: one country. They beat do Bosnia and Herzegovina in the
- 5:32Speaker 1: same match.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Never happened before.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Never happened before. And this is why I was so
- 5:37Speaker 4: impressed too with Paraguay. You know, they beat Germany, even though,
- 5:42Speaker 4: as nobody seemed to point out, somehow West Germany and
- 5:47Speaker 4: East Germany were now allowed to.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Team up and play together.
- 5:51Speaker 1: You know, I'm not only bothered by that, I'm still
- 5:54Speaker 1: bothered by what happened in the last World Cup. You know,
- 5:57Speaker 1: when the United States lost to the Netherlands. Why did
- 6:00Speaker 1: they have to face all the Netherlands. Shouldn't have been
- 6:03Speaker 1: just one Netherland. I mean, that wasn't fair, not at all,
- 6:09Speaker 1: you know.
- 6:09Speaker 4: And you know, as controversial as this might sound, that's
- 6:13Speaker 4: why I have tremendous.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Respect for North Korea.
- 6:16Speaker 4: You know, while they may do a few things wrong,
- 6:19Speaker 4: you know, they have never tried to cheat by combining
- 6:23Speaker 4: their soccer team with South Korea's soccer team and passing
- 6:28Speaker 4: themselves off his Korea. So hats off to North Korea,
- 6:32Speaker 4: you know, just for their soccer. I want to be clear,
- 6:35Speaker 4: Well that was perfectly clear, Tony out.
- 6:37Speaker 1: But we do now have to move to other sports,
- 6:39Speaker 1: the NBA and the free agency moves. You know, there's
- 6:42Speaker 1: one thing we hate more than Lebron James, and that's
- 6:45Speaker 1: the Lakers and will they continue to show their total
- 6:48Speaker 1: disrespect for NBA history. In the statement that that daim
- 6:52Speaker 1: owner Jeanie Buss made about Lebron leaving, she said, quote,
- 6:56Speaker 1: we will always be thankful for his eight years with
- 6:59Speaker 1: the Lakers, including the title he led us to in
- 7:03Speaker 1: twenty twenty.
- 7:05Speaker 2: And that's where it ends. Well, what about the other title?
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, of course I'm talking about THEA the NBA.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Cup, of course, that's the harder title to win. Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 4: I mean, in the NBA Finals, everyone's usually injured and
- 7:21Speaker 4: tired and just wanting the season to be over already.
- 7:24Speaker 4: But in the NBA Cup, everybody's healthy, so you're playing
- 7:28Speaker 4: a team at their absolute best. And you know, I
- 7:32Speaker 4: hate to say it, but when you compare Jordan and Lebron,
- 7:37Speaker 4: Lebron's got one NBA Cup title and Jordan's got zero.
- 7:43Speaker 4: So to me, that's a big hole in Michael Jordan's resume.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Huge old, terrific analysis that Dony and the other big
- 7:50Speaker 1: news the Sixers traded that loser Paul George to the
- 7:53Speaker 1: Boston Celtics.
- 7:54Speaker 2: God and the six is well we got Jalen Brown.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Your word is that the Celtics did not like Jalen
- 8:00Speaker 1: Brown because he felt he was always quote the smartest
- 8:04Speaker 1: guy in the room. And people are saying that's a
- 8:07Speaker 1: bad thing, Tony.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Your reaction, well, did anyone bother to ask what room
- 8:16Speaker 4: he was in? Good point, because you know, if he
- 8:19Speaker 4: was in a first great classroom for career day, then
- 8:22Speaker 4: that's perfectly okay to say, you know, or if he
- 8:27Speaker 4: was in the brain trauma unit at a hospital, then
- 8:30Speaker 4: that's also perfectly okay too, yep. Or you know, if
- 8:34Speaker 4: he was in a room full of drooling invalids staring
- 8:37Speaker 4: at a blank wall inside a mental institution, you know
- 8:40Speaker 4: that's okay, show, Yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying
- 8:44Speaker 4: is context matters.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Such vialuable perspective that Dony and you know, while we're
- 8:49Speaker 1: talking about this trade, getting Jalen Brown here in Philly
- 8:53Speaker 1: just shows how smart the Sixers are when it comes
- 8:56Speaker 1: to roster building, doesn't it, Donny?
- 8:58Speaker 4: You know, this just shows Sixes have carefully studied sports
- 9:02Speaker 4: and understand what the Eagles have known for years that
- 9:07Speaker 4: if you want to win a title, you have to
- 9:10Speaker 4: have a player named Jalen. You know, the Knixt copied
- 9:14Speaker 4: the Eagles and got Jyalen Brunson. It's why the Celtics
- 9:19Speaker 4: had Jayleen Brown. And look at two years ago the
- 9:23Speaker 4: Oklahoma City Thunder became so unstoppable because they had two
- 9:28Speaker 4: totally different guys named Jalen Williams with both different spellings
- 9:33Speaker 4: of Jalen just to cover their bases j A l
- 9:38Speaker 4: e N and ja y l i N.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You know, you know, don'ty you bring up an interesting
- 9:45Speaker 1: point there, because it always made no sense to me
- 9:49Speaker 1: how an Asian person Jeremy Lynn could be that good
- 9:53Speaker 1: at basketball.
- 9:53Speaker 3: You know.
- 9:54Speaker 2: True, but if you go and you look at his.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Name, j Lynn, not Jerem Maylyn, exact ja ja, sure
- 10:04Speaker 4: it is right there, and now it makes total sense.
- 10:07Speaker 4: As we always said, if you're not Jalen, then you're failing.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Yep, And that leads us perfectly great segue to other
- 10:15Speaker 1: NBA trade thills because John Morant, who's halfway to Jalen,
- 10:20Speaker 1: he's got the job, but he doesn't have.
- 10:21Speaker 2: The len, which explains a lot.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Anyway, John Morant got traded from the Memphis Grizzlies to
- 10:26Speaker 1: the Portland Trailblazers. Now, to me, there's a clay winner
- 10:30Speaker 1: in this trade. Don't you a great Donny Oh?
- 10:33Speaker 2: One hundred percent. This is a huge.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Pickup for Portland, you know, not the basketball team, but
- 10:39Speaker 4: the city of Portland.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yep.
- 10:41Speaker 4: You know there's been a lot of civil unrest in
- 10:43Speaker 4: that city and the police force could use another shooter.
- 10:47Speaker 4: And to be clear, I'm not talking basketball shooting, but
- 10:51Speaker 4: actual shooting shooting. And also you know the people of
- 10:55Speaker 4: Portland will probably be less likely to riot if they
- 10:59Speaker 4: knew there was a an active shooter on the loose. Again,
- 11:02Speaker 4: not Swiss Swish but bang Bank. Terrific breakdown there, Tony.
- 11:08Speaker 1: And uh, while we're talking basketball, let's move the women's
- 11:11Speaker 1: basketball to this got you know this take out there.
- 11:14Speaker 1: It's being called controversial for some reason I can't explain now.
- 11:18Speaker 1: FS one personality, Emmanuel Acho, who's usually known, you know
- 11:23Speaker 1: for his very balanced in smart dakes, Well he's taking
- 11:26Speaker 1: heat because he said the WNBA would be better off
- 11:30Speaker 1: without Caitlyn Clark.
- 11:32Speaker 2: And well, I totally agree with this, don't you, Tony.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Caitlyn Clark is ruining the WNBA's brand.
- 11:39Speaker 2: You know.
- 11:40Speaker 4: WNBA players have always been known for three things, being tough,
- 11:46Speaker 4: being black, and being an unmistakably hardcore lesbian. You know,
- 11:50Speaker 4: Caitlyn Clark is none of those things. No, she's hurt
- 11:53Speaker 4: in the brand. And you can't have that. You can't
- 11:56Speaker 4: have that.
- 11:57Speaker 1: And that's why I always maintained that Tiger Woods totally
- 12:00Speaker 1: ruined the preg eight door brand. HUNDREDG eight door players
- 12:04Speaker 1: were known for two things, being white and being too
- 12:07Speaker 1: boring to watch. Along comes this guy. He's not only white,
- 12:11Speaker 1: he must see TV totally destroyed the brand.
- 12:14Speaker 2: You know, yeah, he did, never recovered, never recovered.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And you know, on the subject to golf, you see
- 12:19Speaker 1: this Phil Mickelson in hot water for allegedly hitting on
- 12:24Speaker 1: another golfer's wife and asking her to come to his
- 12:27Speaker 1: room after her husband fell asleep. Now people are saying
- 12:31Speaker 1: this is a bad look for Phil. I disagree, don't you, Tony.
- 12:35Speaker 2: One hundred percent? What's the biggest thing?
- 12:39Speaker 4: Every sport needs rival, of course, and Phil Mickelson was
- 12:45Speaker 4: losing to his rival, Tiger Woods in every category. While
- 12:50Speaker 4: he could never catch Tiger in the golf categories, he
- 12:53Speaker 4: can still catch Tiger in the sex categories. And by
- 12:57Speaker 4: Mike count, Phil has a long way to go and
- 13:00Speaker 4: catching Tiger, who's still two three hundred and twenty seven
- 13:04Speaker 4: sex partners.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Ahead of them.
- 13:06Speaker 4: But frankly, I like the determination and never quit attitude
- 13:10Speaker 4: I'm seeing at a Phil.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I dott tooty.
- 13:12Speaker 1: You gotta respect it and respect you know what everyone
- 13:16Speaker 1: likes seeing, Tony. That's products from our merchan store and
- 13:20Speaker 1: you're wearing them.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Menda, Well, here's a word about that.
- 13:24Speaker 1: You know, normally you're used to seeing us in II
- 13:27Speaker 1: Ego's uniform, which is the greatest thing to wear. But
- 13:30Speaker 1: the other great thing to wear is fullsco show merchandise.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Straight from the stall.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Look at this, I got on the NBA JAM licensed shirt.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Still waiting on activision. But you know Tony's got on
- 13:42Speaker 1: his logo shirt and he's got the mug.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Tell him what that bug says, Tony?
- 13:47Speaker 4: Oh, look at that, it says another floor is core
- 13:51Speaker 4: feet just.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Perfect branding, And well you want to talk about something
- 13:55Speaker 1: that's also perfect. During the Independence Day holiday the third
- 13:58Speaker 1: to the fifth, you can get twenty five percent off
- 14:02Speaker 1: all the products in the store. Now, if you're wondering
- 14:04Speaker 1: why twenty five percent, well we're not show what they
- 14:07Speaker 1: how they came up with that twenty five number.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Oh you know it must be the two hundred and
- 14:11Speaker 4: fiftieth birthday of America.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Twenty five percent.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Ah, there you go, say, Tony's always thinking. Say, if
- 14:18Speaker 1: you want to be as smart as Tony, you go
- 14:20Speaker 1: to the store right now, you start buying games. All right,
- 14:23Speaker 1: that's quit being cheap and go to the store. Yeah,
- 14:25Speaker 1: all right, good, we're done. Good ad, all right, we're
- 14:30Speaker 1: back from break. Uh.
- 14:31Speaker 2: We got to get to this.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Diana Rossini in the news again after a police body
- 14:37Speaker 1: cam footage showed she got pulled over for texting while driving,
- 14:41Speaker 1: and then she tried to talk her way out of
- 14:43Speaker 1: the ticket by showing the cop text messages From Vikings
- 14:47Speaker 1: coach Kevin O'Connell, Tony, what's your legal analysis here, Well, from.
- 14:52Speaker 4: My legal perspective, Diana Russini was unlawfully pulled over. She
- 14:58Speaker 4: was pulled over on suspicion of of texting and driving.
- 15:02Speaker 4: But how do we know she was texting and driving
- 15:05Speaker 4: and not sexting and driving. There's nothing in New Jersey
- 15:09Speaker 4: state law that says sexting and driving is illegal. In fact,
- 15:14Speaker 4: if she's listening right now, I'd highly advise Diana send
- 15:19Speaker 4: me those texts so I can examine them.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Carefully and make sure she's exonerated.
- 15:25Speaker 1: That's very kind of you to offer, Doty, But uh,
- 15:28Speaker 1: you know, I do have to say, you know, in
- 15:30Speaker 1: my position on this subject, I gotta say, seeing Diana
- 15:34Speaker 1: Rossini talk away out of a ticket, you know, it's
- 15:36Speaker 1: kind of a bad look. You know, it's not only
- 15:39Speaker 1: disrespect to the law, right, but you know kind of
- 15:42Speaker 1: just you know, it shows her ego, you know, and
- 15:45Speaker 1: they're bringing up information and all that just totally unprofessional
- 15:49Speaker 1: to her to don't do that.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You know, if I were, I would Are you kidding me? Professional? Unprofessional?
- 15:56Speaker 3: What you're telling Paul? You you try to talk your
- 16:00Speaker 3: way out of a ticket once? No, then how come
- 16:06Speaker 3: there's a video?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Uh, there's no video, bro, And even if there was,
- 16:13Speaker 1: how did you see that?
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:16Speaker 3: Excuse me while I hit play.
- 16:18Speaker 2: No, don't hit anything, don't Yep, it's me. Is very
- 16:27Speaker 2: exciting for you. I know whycense some registration? Come on,
- 16:31Speaker 2: I know why you pulled me over? You want an
- 16:33Speaker 2: autograph merch for the kids? Selfie? Gup, happens all the time.
- 16:37Speaker 2: I'll go it no problem.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Because you're texting and going eighty five in the school's zone.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but you pulled over Polly Foolsco. Number one rated
- 16:46Speaker 2: show you know, never heard of you? Of course you have.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I mean, I'm an NFL insider. You want some info?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Brower registration? No, no real info? Yeah? You know who
- 16:58Speaker 2: I was texting on the phone. Here you ever hear
- 17:00Speaker 2: of a Nick Sirianni? Who Oh yeah.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I was texting the pizza joint where he eats it
- 17:07Speaker 1: twice a.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Month, sir. If you don't comply. I'm gonna be putting
- 17:11Speaker 2: you under the rest. Oh my god, is that Nick
- 17:15Speaker 2: Foles over?
- 17:19Speaker 3: Hi? Hey star? Ah?
- 17:26Speaker 1: Well that was clearly AI you know, yeah that was
- 17:29Speaker 1: one hundred. It's a shame where people are doing these days,
- 17:33Speaker 1: you know, taking someone's likeness. Shame on you, shame on
- 17:36Speaker 1: your back. We ought to sue you. You know that
- 17:39Speaker 1: you're trying to ruin the show again. But we're not
- 17:41Speaker 1: gonna let everything that was perfect forget that. Yeah, you
- 17:44Speaker 1: know what, We're not gonna let you derailed the show.
- 17:46Speaker 1: You know, we're gonna wrap it here before it goes
- 17:48Speaker 1: any further.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Anyway, Yeah, I don't forget your rate and review on
- 17:54Speaker 1: the Apple podcast Stars you visit the stars still should
- 18:01Speaker 1: be arrested.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. What.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Oh you kept calling the American soccer player Florian Blugan Yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Bro, yeah, great player Broye.
- 18:17Speaker 3: No, his name is Florian Balogan. Clearly you haven't watched
- 18:22Speaker 3: a single second of these matches.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Well, after the show, I'm going to shoot
