- 0:02Speaker 1: This is Teddy Tea Pod with Teddy Mill and Cab Hi. Guys,
- 0:14Speaker 1: welcome to this week's Teddy Tea Pod. How fun is
- 0:18Speaker 1: it that we have a hotline now? I am obsessed.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I love talking to you guys in the moment. It's amazing.
- 0:25Speaker 1: This week joining us is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
- 0:29Speaker 1: newbie Crystal, Come minkoff. She's going to be answering all
- 0:33Speaker 1: of our tough questions and we are so excited to
- 0:36Speaker 1: have her on. We're just gonna get right into it, guys.
- 0:41Speaker 1: So this is Crystal, and of course she gets on
- 0:43Speaker 1: and has to be like riding my ass already, Like
- 0:47Speaker 1: I can't believe. I can't believe you guys scheduled this
- 0:51Speaker 1: right now. Blah blah blah. Crystal and I are hosting
- 0:54Speaker 1: a baby shower later on today, and I took the
- 0:58Speaker 1: easy job. I was like, I'll be in charge of
- 1:00Speaker 1: booze and crystals, Like I'll be in charge of food.
- 1:02Speaker 1: But I didn't know she was going to be cooking forever.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Of course overche so literally Megan calls me because our
- 1:10Speaker 1: mutual bestie. Megan was like, because I'm in charge of
- 1:14Speaker 1: picking up the food and we're going to cook it
- 1:16Speaker 1: all for a lot of people. And she was like, okay,
- 1:20Speaker 1: So how the groceries going. I was like, oh, I
- 1:23Speaker 1: just I haven't done it yet. I'll make a list.
- 1:25Speaker 1: She goes one you're gonna get. I was like, I
- 1:27Speaker 1: don't know, Like I don't know, I'll get the day
- 1:28Speaker 1: before and she's like, it's today. That was this morning.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I have no listen, Crystal, I almost fell off the
- 1:35Speaker 1: couch last night. And you're talking head When you said
- 1:38Speaker 1: I am so organized, I was like, lies, you're ja
- 1:44Speaker 1: b I am organized except sance. You put me into this.
- 1:49Speaker 1: It was like, and I honestly, one, Crystal is always
- 1:52Speaker 1: late coming to dance every week. Two well fashionally like it,
- 2:00Speaker 1: but it's proved to be on time. Well I I
- 2:03Speaker 1: actually don't because you know, one time I got that
- 2:05Speaker 1: spanking and I've never been late since. But you do
- 2:09Speaker 1: bring delicious cocktails real coco. Margarite is like, so it's okay.
- 2:13Speaker 1: She can be forgiven for being you know, five to
- 2:16Speaker 1: seven minutes late ever three time. So Crystal. The number
- 2:21Speaker 1: one question that came in for us was were you
- 2:25Speaker 1: guys actually friends? Before Crystal joined the show and did
- 2:28Speaker 1: Teddy refer you to the show No Lies again, the
- 2:35Speaker 1: Double Lies. Well we um, Yes, I pushed for Crystal
- 2:41Speaker 1: so hard because I was like, this would be so
- 2:42Speaker 1: exciting to be on with my friend Da da da
- 2:46Speaker 1: da da. And then we found mutual friends to pretend
- 2:48Speaker 1: to host baby showers together and it's it's all you know,
- 2:53Speaker 1: it's all orchestrated. But no, we met and mommy and
- 2:57Speaker 1: what was it, Mommy, and I met you at your
- 2:59Speaker 1: house when you were hosting a baby shower for meg.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, so we met. That means it was
- 3:05Speaker 1: eight years ago. Eight years ago we met, and you're
- 3:09Speaker 1: at the other house, but it was a long time ago. Yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 1: it was at the first house. I was the house
- 3:13Speaker 1: and Mount Olympus. Yeah, so we met there and immediately
- 3:17Speaker 1: I knew that I loved Crystal because she came in
- 3:19Speaker 1: and was like dancing and fun, in the life of
- 3:22Speaker 1: the party and likely late for sure, late and not organized,
- 3:29Speaker 1: but looked beautiful. Was so much fun. Um, And yeah,
- 3:33Speaker 1: that's how we met. So Crystal, what advice did I
- 3:38Speaker 1: give you going into filming? You are you keep things
- 3:42Speaker 1: close to the nest? You gave me a lot. I
- 3:47Speaker 1: might have said, no, Um, you. Oh God, what advice
- 3:53Speaker 1: do you give me? You said be yourself and you
- 3:55Speaker 1: were really sweet. You said people love you, and m
- 4:00Speaker 1: that is challenging. That looks verience talent. It's hard to
- 4:04Speaker 1: be yourself in this, you know, And I am because
- 4:08Speaker 1: like every reaction to have as real because it's it's
- 4:11Speaker 1: truly authentic, you know. But I've never been in front
- 4:13Speaker 1: of a camera, so that environment is brand new, and
- 4:18Speaker 1: if you've never been in front of it, you can't
- 4:21Speaker 1: help but feel it, and you do lose yourself at
- 4:24Speaker 1: some point, but not not fully for me, you know.
- 4:27Speaker 1: But so I really worked hard internally two make sure
- 4:33Speaker 1: that I was projecting who I you know, I'm saying
- 4:37Speaker 1: I didn't want to act like a certain way. I
- 4:39Speaker 1: was like, this is who I am, but I had
- 4:43Speaker 1: actively do that. But you'd be self, which is really
- 4:45Speaker 1: important because I think that's the only really way to
- 4:48Speaker 1: do it, you know. Yeah, I think being yourself. And
- 4:51Speaker 1: then I remember when I first started it was being
- 4:53Speaker 1: present because sometimes my mind would like wander and think
- 4:56Speaker 1: about like, oh no, what's gonna happen here? What does
- 4:58Speaker 1: this mean? Was that? And then I was like, shoot,
- 5:00Speaker 1: is everybody talking about I'm lost and so being president
- 5:03Speaker 1: was like a big thing for me at the beginning.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Oh no, I don't like this next one. What if
- 5:08Speaker 1: you are like shady to me? Uh? What was your
- 5:11Speaker 1: first impression of me? And did we click right away? Oh?
- 5:17Speaker 1: I like to you, I think you're very but you
- 5:21Speaker 1: could you could you tell that was not real? So
- 5:22Speaker 1: you paused? You pause like to read did when she
- 5:25Speaker 1: said I like you? You know what, you, Teddy are
- 5:31Speaker 1: a force And I don't know what people really know
- 5:35Speaker 1: that And when I say force, it's genuinely super positive.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And you're so you're such a good friend and you
- 5:43Speaker 1: have such a close group of friend that I love,
- 5:45Speaker 1: you know, like we are our best friends are mutual
- 5:48Speaker 1: and um, I think it's I don't think that everyone
- 5:52Speaker 1: gets to see that that you only see of a
- 5:54Speaker 1: small part of you. Um, but you you are the
- 5:58Speaker 1: life of the party. Um my god, why do you
- 6:00Speaker 1: have to be so now? I'm like what you can
- 6:03Speaker 1: cry cry cry, No, I've done my share of crying.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But you won't see that. And that's the shame of it.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And so I'm saying it out loud that you really
- 6:13Speaker 1: are genuinely and um and that's how I really felt
- 6:19Speaker 1: about you, and you know we've been friends ever since.
- 6:21Speaker 1: So well, I always have so much fun for you
- 6:25Speaker 1: and you guys. Crystal is not only like the most
- 6:29Speaker 1: amazing host. She always comes into every event having fun,
- 6:33Speaker 1: ready to like take action. Like every time she'll be
- 6:37Speaker 1: the bartender, she will get her hands dirty, which I love. Like,
- 6:41Speaker 1: I know you're seeing a side of Crystal that's like
- 6:43Speaker 1: very like proper, but she's also like the girl that's
- 6:46Speaker 1: like I got the ice bags and this and that,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Like you make stuff happen so huge, you know, huge
- 6:54Speaker 1: shape so much. Yeah, I think that's what's weird. And again,
- 6:56Speaker 1: it's only only two episodes in UM. And when you
- 7:00Speaker 1: really break it down, I think I've been on camera
- 7:03Speaker 1: for I don't know, seven minutes, so you know that
- 7:06Speaker 1: you time it out. Was that like you know my calculations,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you know, and you know when people that people have
- 7:14Speaker 1: formed such strong opinions, And that's okay. I understand that
- 7:17Speaker 1: because when I watch any kind of show, that's so
- 7:19Speaker 1: that's the nature of it, and that's okay. There's no
- 7:21Speaker 1: blame in that. UM. But yeah, so it's definitely a
- 7:25Speaker 1: a real and very specific part of who I am. UM.
- 7:28Speaker 1: But yeah, hopefully then people get to see me, you know,
- 7:31Speaker 1: slipping ice bags and well, do you realize that, even
- 7:34Speaker 1: though we've been friends for eight years, you never told
- 7:37Speaker 1: me that you worked at an escort service. Okay. I
- 7:41Speaker 1: saw the preview and I was like, oh my god,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I forgot. I'd say, yeah, you know, it's like not
- 7:46Speaker 1: eight nine months ago, so long ago. And I was
- 7:48Speaker 1: telling my friends where I was a tennis and I
- 7:50Speaker 1: was like, oh, you know, they're going to use this
- 7:51Speaker 1: thing there like you worked where Okay, So I just
- 7:54Speaker 1: need to clarify because it's very very It's not the
- 7:57Speaker 1: editing that's a problem. It's just, you know, it's very
- 7:59Speaker 1: limited to what he said. So it was an advertising
- 8:02Speaker 1: company that was for escort. It was resting. Yeah, So
- 8:10Speaker 1: I like, how you trying to sugarcoat that there? Yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 1: So I did not send girls out. I received the
- 8:17Speaker 1: calls that I received were from the girls, and then
- 8:19Speaker 1: they pay us as an advertising company to put their
- 8:22Speaker 1: picture up and phone number. So I worked with the
- 8:25Speaker 1: girls actually, but escorts is like, you know, they're like
- 8:29Speaker 1: they got to dinner with you and stuff like like
- 8:32Speaker 1: I don't know, try Okay, Yeah, they trips to they
- 8:36Speaker 1: have your hang out with you or there's like then
- 8:40Speaker 1: what how were you? How did they reach out to
- 8:43Speaker 1: to bring you on as a madam? That was not
- 8:47Speaker 1: part of that. Oh that was the lie. No no, no,
- 8:49Speaker 1: no, no no, that happened to separations. Yeah. The lie was
- 8:54Speaker 1: me um the law. It was me getting arrested because
- 8:57Speaker 1: it sounded such an easy like maybe she you know,
- 8:59Speaker 1: like ridiculous. I actually do have a I have a
- 9:04Speaker 1: warrant for my arrest and that's actually kind of that
- 9:06Speaker 1: would be great. Oh what did you do about Arizona?
- 9:10Speaker 1: And I talked to the judge and he's like, just
- 9:12Speaker 1: don't are you gonna come back here? I was like no,
- 9:14Speaker 1: and he's like, just don't come back. That's a whole
- 9:16Speaker 1: remind me not to bring you to Arizona. Well I can't.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I can't drive there or I'll get arrested. So it
- 9:20Speaker 1: is with the madam story. Rob was super super into
- 9:25Speaker 1: like when you know, like World Porka Tour was really
- 9:27Speaker 1: popular and that we just watched it endlessly, watched m XC,
- 9:30Speaker 1: which is like that Japanese game show and all all date,
- 9:34Speaker 1: all night, and so Rob got really to poker and
- 9:37Speaker 1: then we go to the commerce casino and there was
- 9:39Speaker 1: this woman there and very loud and you know, like
- 9:42Speaker 1: throwing money on the table and just and I'm just
- 9:44Speaker 1: like two years old sitting there and she's like looking
- 9:48Speaker 1: at me. She's like, come here, come here, and she
- 9:50Speaker 1: was I could tell she was Korean, and so I
- 9:52Speaker 1: feel like like it was like a mama to me,
- 9:54Speaker 1: you know. And I'm like okay. And then Rob's like
- 9:57Speaker 1: like she's asking to go with her, and like he's like,
- 10:00Speaker 1: are you okay. I'm like I'm okay. So Just we
- 10:01Speaker 1: walked through the casino out to these like double doors
- 10:05Speaker 1: and but their glass doors. It was like a pat
- 10:07Speaker 1: like a kind of a patio, so he could see me,
- 10:08Speaker 1: I could see him, and she's like what are you
- 10:11Speaker 1: doing here? I'm like my friend, and she's like, you know,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I can make you some money. And then out walks
- 10:19Speaker 1: a guy like Just and he just immediately like he
- 10:22Speaker 1: was ready. Yeah. It's just like standing there next to
- 10:24Speaker 1: her and I'm like uh and she's like I can
- 10:28Speaker 1: you know, make good money. I was like no, like
- 10:30Speaker 1: I'm so scared, like no, thank you, you know, and
- 10:36Speaker 1: then she was okay, go go to him. She's like
- 10:38Speaker 1: get out of here. And she was okay, so I
- 10:41Speaker 1: see a lot of me and you, and then it
- 10:45Speaker 1: was okay, this girl's not going to do that. Maybe
- 10:49Speaker 1: I could be a little like a protege. So that
- 10:52Speaker 1: that was that's the story, you know what. I know,
- 10:55Speaker 1: I have a weird and by the way, it's like
- 10:56Speaker 1: I didn't ask for it just came to me, don't
- 10:58Speaker 1: you know what. You're just lucky that way. Commit opportunities
- 11:03Speaker 1: are always finding you. Crystall all right. Next back to
- 11:08Speaker 1: you know, housewives. They want to know you're new to
- 11:11Speaker 1: the group, who has been the most welcoming and who
- 11:15Speaker 1: has been the most standoffish. So this question is asked,
- 11:19Speaker 1: like people, really, I don't know. I feel like Jurie
- 11:23Speaker 1: was super welcoming. Um, And when I answer this question,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I immediately think about the very first time I met
- 11:29Speaker 1: the group as a whole. You know. That's that's sort
- 11:32Speaker 1: of how I can approach it, because everyone was actually
- 11:36Speaker 1: welcoming in different stages. So I think about that first Nigeria,
- 11:41Speaker 1: big arms open, and I didn't know what to expect.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I thought maybe I'd just get coldness, you know, and like,
- 11:46Speaker 1: who's the new ber I don't like her? And Durie
- 11:49Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, you have kids and Dada
- 11:51Speaker 1: and Teddy told me that, you know, and obviously you
- 11:53Speaker 1: and Deret her friends. So I think that there was
- 11:56Speaker 1: that connection. And I felt that from Garcela too, because
- 11:59Speaker 1: she was like, oh my god, your Rob's wife like
- 12:02Speaker 1: years ago. And so for me, that sort of experience
- 12:06Speaker 1: is like safety of like when you have one connection,
- 12:09Speaker 1: you feel you know, welcomed. And I would say Sutton
- 12:14Speaker 1: and she knows to hear all the time. Sutton was
- 12:16Speaker 1: definitely less warm, but from the beginning, yeah, not super cool,
- 12:21Speaker 1: but just not as like bubbly as I would say.
- 12:23Speaker 1: The other people were alright, alright, well Rob, he's directed all,
- 12:28Speaker 1: you know, all of these things. He's so talented. I
- 12:31Speaker 1: personally love Rob. He is that person that like when
- 12:33Speaker 1: you're sitting at dinner, you're gonna be laughing, you're gonna
- 12:35Speaker 1: be learning. He's such a great guy. But um, how
- 12:39Speaker 1: did he feel about you joining the show? Um? You know,
- 12:43Speaker 1: like his first reaction and I said, oh, Teddy called me.
- 12:45Speaker 1: He's like nope, Um, you know, it took us a
- 12:51Speaker 1: long time and you know, you were on the journey
- 12:53Speaker 1: with me and you know, he just it's scary it's
- 12:57Speaker 1: a scary thing to put ourselves out there, you know.
- 13:00Speaker 1: And he's though he's never done reality or you know,
- 13:03Speaker 1: been an act or anything like that, you know, you
- 13:06Speaker 1: sort of know what might come with the territory. But
- 13:10Speaker 1: you know the biggest fear was when people say, oh,
- 13:12Speaker 1: people get divorced, and we would just be like, well,
- 13:15Speaker 1: that's that's our issue, Like we are solid. And I
- 13:18Speaker 1: think that was the reason why I said yes. If
- 13:20Speaker 1: we felt that that would not hurt our family, then
- 13:24Speaker 1: we could potentially say yes. So once we you know,
- 13:27Speaker 1: pass that threshold, then it was sort of diving deeper
- 13:30Speaker 1: into what you know would be positive and negative. And
- 13:33Speaker 1: you know, I did the charts, I did the pros
- 13:35Speaker 1: and con I wrote him now and we you know,
- 13:38Speaker 1: went through each one. Well, I've now, this reminds me
- 13:41Speaker 1: of another piece of advice that I gave you that
- 13:43Speaker 1: obviously you forgot, but I said, if you have any
- 13:48Speaker 1: dark secrets that you don't want to come forward, do
- 13:51Speaker 1: not do the show that that's the only reason other
- 13:54Speaker 1: than that do it. Like for me, that was the
- 13:57Speaker 1: same thing. I'm like, I know I'm in a good marriage.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I know that I have good you know, like my
- 14:00Speaker 1: family's good, life is good, business is good, Like there's
- 14:03Speaker 1: no reason and there's nothing I have to hide, right,
- 14:06Speaker 1: So I once like like that I felt comfortable with
- 14:10Speaker 1: and then when you dive deeper, it's so why do
- 14:13Speaker 1: you do it? You know, as opposed to like I don't.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I really don't understand why people do it if they
- 14:17Speaker 1: have that kind of stuff for fear of it, Like
- 14:19Speaker 1: I didn't have fear in that aspect. So then it
- 14:22Speaker 1: was the approach was why why yes and um, and
- 14:27Speaker 1: then that's why you know you dive deeper into what
- 14:29Speaker 1: it means for you and your family? Yeah, for sure.
- 14:32Speaker 1: And I was like the first thing you said, come on,
- 14:36Speaker 1: well now that you're a season in, like, are you
- 14:38Speaker 1: happy that I brought you in? Or are you like
- 14:41Speaker 1: you knows I'm gonna say, okay, we'll say this because
- 14:50Speaker 1: I always try to be a positive person. I'm camera
- 14:58Speaker 1: close it. I'm like, okay, ER's a right. No. I
- 15:01Speaker 1: have grown so much and it sounds so sappy. I
- 15:05Speaker 1: have grown so much as a person in the last
- 15:09Speaker 1: year then ten years combined in my life. I have
- 15:15Speaker 1: seen so much that I never thought I would see,
- 15:18Speaker 1: including working at you know, an advertising Govinie. That's you know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: it's it's so um it's it has made my life
- 15:29Speaker 1: so expansive and insular in a weird way. Um So,
- 15:35Speaker 1: But do I regret it? No, not, No, I don't
- 15:38Speaker 1: regret it. I want to see what it's going to
- 15:40Speaker 1: look like, to be honest, you know, I don't know
- 15:43Speaker 1: how that's going to play out, and and and then
- 15:46Speaker 1: I'll assess whether that's it's you know, to move forward.
- 15:48Speaker 1: But um, you know it's I've grown a lot, and
- 15:52Speaker 1: I think that's if I can take anything positive out
- 15:54Speaker 1: of it, is you know i'd say that. Yeah, And
- 15:57Speaker 1: I'm just to put it in perspective for for the listeners,
- 16:00Speaker 1: Like people think that like we already know how the
- 16:03Speaker 1: show is gonna look like weeks or months in advance. No,
- 16:06Speaker 1: like Housewives get the episode the day before, that's it
- 16:11Speaker 1: and then and there's no changes, Like it's it is
- 16:14Speaker 1: what it is, and you just have to sit there
- 16:15Speaker 1: and live with it. You have what the night before
- 16:17Speaker 1: it actually airs, after you've seen it is the worst.
- 16:21Speaker 1: It's not a good episode for you. It's horrible. And
- 16:25Speaker 1: I have to say, like episode two, I was really
- 16:28Speaker 1: down in the docks about it and then I don't
- 16:31Speaker 1: know why. I think you're just so self critical and
- 16:33Speaker 1: so like, what if I had done this or how
- 16:36Speaker 1: I approached that? And then you know, the feedback is
- 16:39Speaker 1: so interesting, you know, and then you sort of seen
- 16:41Speaker 1: a different light. But yeah, it's you know, but I
- 16:45Speaker 1: know from what you and all the girls have said,
- 16:48Speaker 1: there will be great episodes and hard episodes for everyone,
- 16:51Speaker 1: and she's designed to do that. So what part what part?
- 16:55Speaker 1: In particular? How did you feeling that way after watching
- 16:59Speaker 1: the episode? Of course, I mean the ending, it's it's
- 17:03Speaker 1: really hard to watch, and it's you know, even though
- 17:07Speaker 1: I feel so strongly, I'm so convicted in my in
- 17:12Speaker 1: my how I feel about this topic about race and
- 17:15Speaker 1: stuff like that. Um, I don't want to ever. I
- 17:20Speaker 1: don't ever want to become an argument or where someone
- 17:26Speaker 1: feels uncomfortable, and you know, and I and I look
- 17:31Speaker 1: at that, and it's that I don't like that. That's hard.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I mean, you guys did have an intense conversation about race.
- 17:38Speaker 1: How did it feel like when she said, I'm not
- 17:42Speaker 1: talking about racial stereotypes. I also have a stereotype, but
- 17:46Speaker 1: I don't want to bring it up. How would you
- 17:48Speaker 1: have preferred that conversation about well, as you said, nothing's planned.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I mean that thing was that happened so organically and
- 17:58Speaker 1: at one in the morning, and you know, you know,
- 18:03Speaker 1: I know people are like, oh, like drinking and all
- 18:06Speaker 1: that stuff adds fuel to the fire. I was not.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I was holding a drink, but I really didn't drink
- 18:11Speaker 1: that whole trip. And um, you know, I mean, we
- 18:17Speaker 1: haven't seen the next episode. I have not seen the
- 18:19Speaker 1: exact I don't. I think it resolves by ending, you know, Um,
- 18:26Speaker 1: but you know, for me, it's like in any conversation
- 18:29Speaker 1: race or other. You know, you want it to be
- 18:33Speaker 1: open and honest and accepted on both sides. Do you
- 18:37Speaker 1: want to hear all sides? And I think, um, sadly,
- 18:43Speaker 1: a lot of what she wanted to say and what
- 18:45Speaker 1: I wanted to say was not heard. And um, but
- 18:49Speaker 1: that's also again a growth experience amongst people. Just that
- 18:53Speaker 1: was the That was the second Dame at her wow
- 18:57Speaker 1: I think about. I know I met her at Dereats
- 18:59Speaker 1: for jin Are and that one when you went on
- 19:02Speaker 1: the trip and went on the trip and I hate
- 19:06Speaker 1: to do this, but we have to take a quick
- 19:07Speaker 1: break and then we'll come right back. Okay, guys, welcome back.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And to start off, we are going to open the
- 19:21Speaker 1: hotline for a couple of questions before I go into
- 19:24Speaker 1: the instant questions after that. So let's bring on Sarah. Hi.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to talk to you guys.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Hi um, Yes, Sarah, hi um. So my question is
- 19:38Speaker 1: for Crystal Um. I would love to know more about
- 19:41Speaker 1: your brother. I you said he would a pop star
- 19:43Speaker 1: and he was living with you guys, Like was that
- 19:46Speaker 1: crazy growing up? Or like how long has he been
- 19:49Speaker 1: doing that? Oh my god, I'm so glad you asked
- 19:52Speaker 1: my brother brother so much. We're like, so Jeff and
- 19:55Speaker 1: I are nineteen months apart, he's older whatever he says.
- 19:59Speaker 1: By the way, I have to make this clear. If
- 20:01Speaker 1: you google me, I'm trying to spread this far and
- 20:04Speaker 1: wide right now, if you google me, it says I'm
- 20:06Speaker 1: born in five and I'm not. I was born eighty three.
- 20:10Speaker 1: And because there was I guess another Crystal Kong who's
- 20:12Speaker 1: an artist, and our profiles got merged. So people think
- 20:16Speaker 1: I'm younger than I am. And that would be great
- 20:20Speaker 1: if it didn't date me and Rob situate and making
- 20:24Speaker 1: a problem like no I do, but my honey, it's
- 20:27Speaker 1: like I don't know what to do, but I know
- 20:29Speaker 1: how old I am, and so I'm like, I just
- 20:32Speaker 1: want to say that for the record, I'm thirty eight
- 20:35Speaker 1: and born in eighty three. Okay, that's all so um
- 20:38Speaker 1: and Jeff was born eighty one. So Jeff actually went
- 20:41Speaker 1: to Michigan and he studied abroad in China like I did.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Our parents sent us for a year to Beijing. And
- 20:47Speaker 1: when he was there, he had Um called. I was
- 20:51Speaker 1: senior in college and and he or in high school
- 20:54Speaker 1: and he called and said, oh I did like a demo,
- 20:58Speaker 1: like it was a song. We're like, what the hell
- 21:01Speaker 1: is that? That was going to Michigan like international business,
- 21:05Speaker 1: like we're normal, you know, sort of classical Chinese things
- 21:09Speaker 1: that we're doing right, and and I almost like what?
- 21:13Speaker 1: And then he called us and it's like okay, they
- 21:14Speaker 1: want to record an album. And my mom was like
- 21:17Speaker 1: over my dead body. But then he said, okay, what
- 21:19Speaker 1: if I promise you'll finish college. So he finished like
- 21:24Speaker 1: literally that year. He just like flew back to Michigan,
- 21:26Speaker 1: got it done and came back. And then he was
- 21:29Speaker 1: twenty years old and he won Best New MTV Asia
- 21:33Speaker 1: Best New Artist and that was it. That was twenty
- 21:37Speaker 1: years ago and he had been since so um, which
- 21:42Speaker 1: is so weird, you know. But he was here in
- 21:45Speaker 1: l A with us while we were filming because he
- 21:49Speaker 1: had left China. Um and of February when things were
- 21:53Speaker 1: starting to get locked down there for COVID and we
- 21:55Speaker 1: didn't know what was happening here yet, and he called
- 21:57Speaker 1: us was like, you guys, this is like a serious thing,
- 21:59Speaker 1: and we were like, well, you have an American passport
- 22:03Speaker 1: and maybe you won't be able to get out, so
- 22:05Speaker 1: maybe it's best to get out here. He thought maybe
- 22:07Speaker 1: four to six weeks. It wasn't four to six weeks.
- 22:11Speaker 1: So he was ended up in lockdown here in l
- 22:15Speaker 1: A with us, which ended up being great. Um. But
- 22:18Speaker 1: that's so that's what happened. So he doesn't normally live here. Um.
- 22:22Speaker 1: He's back in China now, um, but he's planning a
- 22:25Speaker 1: buying house in l A next year because we're born
- 22:27Speaker 1: and raised here. So that's about my brother and he's
- 22:30Speaker 1: like the best uncle. Do you think too? Do you
- 22:33Speaker 1: guys think together? I mean, I'm an incredible shower singer.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Why don't you show us a little bit, Crystal. I'd
- 22:39Speaker 1: love to hear you just you know, throw something out,
- 22:41Speaker 1: just something casual from Lyon King, because like, I don't
- 22:44Speaker 1: think anyone knows that we're all directable annoying, like why
- 22:48Speaker 1: do you talking about liking him? Because they told me
- 22:49Speaker 1: to keep talking about lying like I don't talk. How
- 22:51Speaker 1: do you think I feel John Mellencamp, like they've lost
- 22:54Speaker 1: those questions. I'm not sitting there like, hey, my dad's
- 22:56Speaker 1: the coube. You answer those questions and then you look
- 23:00Speaker 1: like such a douche after totally like oh, by the way,
- 23:06Speaker 1: did you know? But all these things that it's so
- 23:11Speaker 1: insane to me, like look at his awards, look at
- 23:16Speaker 1: up there, you know what do you know? So funny
- 23:18Speaker 1: because so Rob is um up north finishing his movie
- 23:21Speaker 1: and he's because it's so sad, like of course, like
- 23:24Speaker 1: all COVID you've been home and now like you're away
- 23:27Speaker 1: during the first week and he's like, oh wow a
- 23:30Speaker 1: little I'm like, shut up, you idiot. I was like
- 23:35Speaker 1: I'm a big timer. Yeah. I was like, He's like, wow,
- 23:39Speaker 1: I didn't know I was going to get so much
- 23:40Speaker 1: free press is so funny. Yes, I seen in the
- 23:44Speaker 1: shower but not professionally. Thank you so much, Sarah. Thank
- 23:52Speaker 1: you Bye Sarah. Now we're gonna bring on Alex. Hi
- 23:58Speaker 1: you guys, Oh my gosh, how such a big fan
- 24:01Speaker 1: of the show. Christal. My question is for you. I'm
- 24:04Speaker 1: so curious who the bff on the show? Oh Um, Well,
- 24:12Speaker 1: my bff on the show is definitely Kathy. You know,
- 24:15Speaker 1: Kathy and I've been friends for fifteen years and people
- 24:19Speaker 1: always asked, how how did you guys know each other?
- 24:21Speaker 1: You know, what's the origin? So um, Rob's producing partner,
- 24:27Speaker 1: Kimberly was married to Kathy's brother, so they were sister
- 24:33Speaker 1: in laws. Um and so I. So Rob's partner has
- 24:37Speaker 1: been his partner forever. And when I first met Rob,
- 24:40Speaker 1: that's my first people I met, and so um they've
- 24:44Speaker 1: always been super close as sister in laws. Even though
- 24:46Speaker 1: Kimberly had divorced. So I had met Kathy so long ago.
- 24:50Speaker 1: So when you know she was seeking about doing the show,
- 24:53Speaker 1: it just made it another great opportunity to do it together.
- 24:57Speaker 1: And you know, having her, they're kind of helping me
- 24:59Speaker 1: now the gate, the whole experience was super, super helpful. Yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 1: Cathy is a trip, as you guys can all see,
- 25:07Speaker 1: she's so fun. The Three Truths last night, I was like,
- 25:10Speaker 1: so good. And all of her t shirts with the
- 25:12Speaker 1: words on it. I was like, Kathy, I'm not searing
- 25:15Speaker 1: a teacher with words. Okay wait, so like literally your
- 25:19Speaker 1: bestie Kyle every time she come downstairs, like who do
- 25:23Speaker 1: you come on? What are you wearing? I look great?
- 25:27Speaker 1: So don't change. So good and the fan all of it. Um.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Next up we have Bella, Bella what you got for us? Hey? Um,
- 25:37Speaker 1: I was wondering, um, for both of you guys, who
- 25:39Speaker 1: was each of your most cringing moment of the episode
- 25:42Speaker 1: so far? Well, watching you guys, what was my most
- 25:45Speaker 1: cringe part? I mean I think, you know, watching the
- 25:50Speaker 1: scene between Crystal and Sutton, you know, when you know,
- 25:55Speaker 1: when she said the redneck like I think that. I
- 25:57Speaker 1: was like, no, you do say it? Like you know that?
- 26:02Speaker 1: For me, I was like I could see where she
- 26:04Speaker 1: was starting to go and I was like, I really
- 26:06Speaker 1: just hope she doesn't say it. So, um, yeah, that
- 26:09Speaker 1: was my the cringeest part for me to watch. Yeah. Um,
- 26:15Speaker 1: it's so like I think I understand obviously, I understand
- 26:18Speaker 1: that being not the two people in it. Um. Every
- 26:23Speaker 1: moment for me is a little cringe e like of
- 26:26Speaker 1: how I could approach things differently. And you know that's
- 26:29Speaker 1: the interesting part of the shows, Like it's already done,
- 26:32Speaker 1: so I can't analyze it and do it next time,
- 26:35Speaker 1: like it is what whatever has happened happened. That's authentic
- 26:40Speaker 1: and organic. Um. But yeah, it's you know, I mean
- 26:45Speaker 1: for me, it's like other than that, just like when
- 26:50Speaker 1: I talk about, oh, this and this is when you're bragging,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you know me, I don't do that. It's like I've
- 26:58Speaker 1: never seen a side like because you know, somebody even
- 27:02Speaker 1: asked her like it's Christ and I'm just saying it's
- 27:04Speaker 1: crystal stop. I'm like no, Like, I mean a snob
- 27:08Speaker 1: comment is so weird because I understand why people think
- 27:11Speaker 1: of It's not like I get it, you know, because
- 27:13Speaker 1: they say, so tell us about this. I'm like, I
- 27:15Speaker 1: don't want to tell about this, okay, and then they
- 27:17Speaker 1: just use that like and I have this and I
- 27:20Speaker 1: have this and they're like, oh god, so like so
- 27:22Speaker 1: I don't. I don't. I'm not like mad people thinking
- 27:25Speaker 1: of it's stop. There are worse things, but it is
- 27:29Speaker 1: so not my personality. But that's okay. I understand. I
- 27:32Speaker 1: don't believe me. She wears croc flip flops when she
- 27:34Speaker 1: comes over, I think, so I wrote, like, you know,
- 27:39Speaker 1: I hate this girl and her Walmart clothes. I want
- 27:42Speaker 1: to be like, what's wrong with Walmart? I don't know. Well,
- 27:46Speaker 1: you pretty much have a uniform except when you're on Housewives.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Do you have like your standard uniform? You come over,
- 27:51Speaker 1: it's a button down, it's shorty shorts with like a
- 27:55Speaker 1: draw string and you're crop. Do you have them on now?
- 27:59Speaker 1: Ida and your croc flip flops? Okay, so I buy
- 28:05Speaker 1: things in bulk. These shorts, ladies, the old navy, y'all,
- 28:08Speaker 1: they're linen. I didn't even tie them for you. Okay,
- 28:11Speaker 1: they're linen. I think they're like twelve and they're my
- 28:15Speaker 1: favorite shorts. So what I do is I end up
- 28:17Speaker 1: buying like five and White and five and Peak. But
- 28:19Speaker 1: like I, it's just and she wears them, guys, she
- 28:22Speaker 1: wears them to the end. Any hating on my fashion,
- 28:28Speaker 1: I literally could care less. Could care less, So go
- 28:33Speaker 1: for it. It's my favorite. By the way, I learned
- 28:35Speaker 1: this the hard way. It's I got so much heat
- 28:38Speaker 1: for saying it on the show. It's couldn't care less?
- 28:41Speaker 1: I thought, could I got killed for that? I couldn't.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I could. Oh yeah, So if he's liked could less,
- 28:49Speaker 1: they make you care Yeah, and so I got killed
- 28:52Speaker 1: for that. And I also got killed for saying electronical.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm not electronically savvy. Electronicals, lady, you can't
- 28:59Speaker 1: say electronic call? What is the right word? What? What
- 29:03Speaker 1: are you trying to say? Like, I'm not savvy on
- 29:06Speaker 1: like like my phone technologically savvy. Oh well, okay, maybe
- 29:12Speaker 1: I want to text. Maybe I should have phoned a friend. Yeah, well,
- 29:16Speaker 1: or it could be a new word like choog e.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Oh choogie is all the rage right now. So you
- 29:21Speaker 1: can just create a word technology technological, electronically, electronically Okay,
- 29:27Speaker 1: it's a good word. Okay, yeah, all right, Oh my gosh, Sam,
- 29:31Speaker 1: come on in hi. Um, I have a question. I
- 29:35Speaker 1: want to know, Crystal, where do you stand with Sutton
- 29:38Speaker 1: right now? So you will see that our friendship it's
- 29:44Speaker 1: an arc, as all friendships do, and it's a roller coaster,
- 29:51Speaker 1: not what all friendships do. Um, But I will say this,
- 29:56Speaker 1: I think that we have come to a better understanding
- 30:02Speaker 1: of each other. If I can say that, Okay, I
- 30:07Speaker 1: think should be all right, That's what I'll say. Well,
- 30:11Speaker 1: following up with that, how hard after that? You know,
- 30:14Speaker 1: I know we have a lot to stay tuned for,
- 30:16Speaker 1: but like, now that you kind of knew her mindset,
- 30:19Speaker 1: was it hard for you working with her going forward?
- 30:22Speaker 1: I mean after that, yeah, after after last night? What
- 30:26Speaker 1: what's coming? Yeah, it was hard and I and it
- 30:30Speaker 1: completely affects me to where I've never been affected for
- 30:34Speaker 1: my life actually, and so I'm not quite It's funny
- 30:38Speaker 1: watching it because I've been trying to analyze it this
- 30:40Speaker 1: morning of sort of what's coming and quickly comes and
- 30:45Speaker 1: I'm like, I didn't. I'm just like I'm still processing it,
- 30:52Speaker 1: you know, because it happened, but I was it was
- 30:55Speaker 1: such a crazy fog. And then now I'm watching it
- 30:57Speaker 1: back and I'm like, so I just to know for
- 31:00Speaker 1: myself internally, like how did that affect me? And it did? Um,
- 31:05Speaker 1: and yeah, you're gonna see it. You're gonna see how
- 31:07Speaker 1: it affects me because I feel like I look cool
- 31:10Speaker 1: and whatever. And then it's I you know, I'm gonna
- 31:13Speaker 1: I can be emotional and I try to keep everything
- 31:16Speaker 1: cool at the time, and I think I just I
- 31:19Speaker 1: just couldn't you know, so well, we're humans and we
- 31:22Speaker 1: uh that's what happened. But I cannually have not. I've
- 31:27Speaker 1: not had a confrontation like that in my life. So
- 31:31Speaker 1: it's weird that it happened. And that's what I'm saying.
- 31:33Speaker 1: What's it's organic like it happened on camera two days
- 31:38Speaker 1: after meeting her, and I've literally I you'll say, I
- 31:41Speaker 1: say something like, I've never met anyone like you. So yeah, intense,
- 31:50Speaker 1: I can't even I mean, wow, Um, well, thank you
- 31:54Speaker 1: so much. Sam. We got to bring in tomorrow. Hi Betty, Hi,
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'm a huge fan. I'm so happy to be talking
- 32:03Speaker 1: to you. Thanks for having me on of course, Um
- 32:08Speaker 1: so of course I want to know, um what you
- 32:11Speaker 1: think of the new season so far? And then I
- 32:14Speaker 1: want to ask Crystal who she's bonded with the most. Okay, well,
- 32:20Speaker 1: how I think about the season so far? You know,
- 32:22Speaker 1: it's it's been, you know, a completely different experience. I
- 32:25Speaker 1: I didn't watch Housewives before I became a housewife, so
- 32:28Speaker 1: I didn't have like that knowledge going into it, and
- 32:31Speaker 1: now I can watch it as like a legitimate like
- 32:34Speaker 1: fan versus you know, like these are my girlfriends. These
- 32:38Speaker 1: are people I care about. So I can watch in
- 32:40Speaker 1: a completely different way without being self critical, without you know,
- 32:44Speaker 1: having anxiety, without beating myself up for every little thing
- 32:47Speaker 1: that I did wrong. So you know, there's pleasant like
- 32:50Speaker 1: that part's pleasant and I, you know, I enjoy it
- 32:53Speaker 1: as entertainment as what it is. But of course there
- 32:56Speaker 1: are moments where you like have like you know a
- 32:58Speaker 1: little bit of like satis fans. Wow, you know, I
- 33:01Speaker 1: miss I missed this camaraderie. I missed the trips like
- 33:04Speaker 1: are the plane rides are always the most fun? You know,
- 33:06Speaker 1: like those types of things. Um, but I you know,
- 33:09Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be a great season. I'm so
- 33:10Speaker 1: excited for you know all the girls. Are you already
- 33:13Speaker 1: watching it wondering? Oh, I wouldn't have said that, or
- 33:16Speaker 1: I wouldn't have done that, would the two episodes so far? No,
- 33:20Speaker 1: I'm not watching it with a critical I versus them
- 33:23Speaker 1: like for me, like the way I like to watch
- 33:26Speaker 1: my shows, like a reality shows is like is this good?
- 33:30Speaker 1: Like am I enjoying the content? Am I learning? Am
- 33:33Speaker 1: I laughing? Am I? You know? Am I wanting to
- 33:35Speaker 1: purchase that thing? Whatever it is? Not like, oh, I
- 33:38Speaker 1: would never do that or that's so you know, those
- 33:40Speaker 1: types of things, because you know, I feel like I've
- 33:42Speaker 1: been on the other end of it and I don't
- 33:44Speaker 1: need to go there. Uh what about what? She had
- 33:49Speaker 1: a follow up question about who you bonded with? She
- 33:51Speaker 1: said earlier Kathy, but other than Kathy because we can't. Um,
- 33:55Speaker 1: Cathy is like an easy answer, I would say Dree, uh,
- 33:59Speaker 1: Drey and I she was just always I could just
- 34:03Speaker 1: feel she was very honest and wanted to help me
- 34:06Speaker 1: through this experience. Um. You know, her husband reached out
- 34:11Speaker 1: to Rob a lot and checked in. They had dinner,
- 34:15Speaker 1: So like, I appreciate that in a person a couple
- 34:19Speaker 1: to sort of actively do that with us. You know,
- 34:22Speaker 1: it's not especially guy. The guys don't just call each old.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Are It takes like the women to bond and you know,
- 34:28Speaker 1: and so for like they would have dinner alone and um,
- 34:31Speaker 1: and it was just a really they've shown a lot
- 34:35Speaker 1: of grace and um and friendship and welcoming to me.
- 34:39Speaker 1: So I appreciated that. Oh that's awesome. And p K
- 34:42Speaker 1: is hilarious. He's so fun. Yeah, life of the party. Um, well,
- 34:47Speaker 1: thank you for calling in. You guys, we gotta take
- 34:49Speaker 1: a little break and then we'll come back and finish
- 34:51Speaker 1: up your questions. All right, So now that we're back,
- 35:03Speaker 1: we're gonna start a little a little heavier and then
- 35:06Speaker 1: good lighter as we finished. But with all the anti
- 35:09Speaker 1: Asian stuff and all these movements, like how how could
- 35:13Speaker 1: you give our listeners a better way to approach everything?
- 35:17Speaker 1: Good question? So for me, I think everyone has a
- 35:21Speaker 1: different Obviously, everyone approach to anything and people. This is
- 35:25Speaker 1: a very heated topic, and I think that your approach
- 35:32Speaker 1: is going to be based on your history, right, whether
- 35:34Speaker 1: you've been attacked or it's a constant you know, you're
- 35:38Speaker 1: living in fear and stuff like that. For me, you know,
- 35:42Speaker 1: I and very obviously very much open to this conversation.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I like to talk about it. We talk about it
- 35:49Speaker 1: with the kids all the time. It's like, is a
- 35:52Speaker 1: very important topic for me. So but I don't I
- 35:56Speaker 1: don't want to come from judgment, and so I really
- 36:00Speaker 1: try to have empathy and understanding where the other persons
- 36:04Speaker 1: coming from who I'm talking to. So if you it's
- 36:07Speaker 1: like one of our friends at Teddy you know, who
- 36:10Speaker 1: were hosting with us. It's like she said to me,
- 36:13Speaker 1: I've never where she grew up. I've never met an
- 36:15Speaker 1: Asian person, a black person, like a person like never
- 36:18Speaker 1: my life. And if I and she has said something
- 36:22Speaker 1: that like offended us. When I met her and I said,
- 36:25Speaker 1: I called her out, I was like, you cannot say that,
- 36:27Speaker 1: like that's not okay, And she was like, I am
- 36:29Speaker 1: so sorry. I've I had no idea, and I give
- 36:33Speaker 1: grace to that. You know, it's it's taking ownership. And
- 36:38Speaker 1: but I didn't want to attack her. I just said,
- 36:39Speaker 1: this is not okay with me. It hurts me, it
- 36:42Speaker 1: hurts other people, and I want you to know that.
- 36:44Speaker 1: And I think there's a way to um talk to
- 36:48Speaker 1: people without judgment. You know, you have to be I
- 36:52Speaker 1: think there you can do it in a soft way.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I think the softer you are actually is when people
- 36:56Speaker 1: hear you more too hard, they close it off. It's
- 36:59Speaker 1: too scary. Uh So, I think it's about showing people
- 37:03Speaker 1: right your cultures and and you know, but if you
- 37:06Speaker 1: want to talk about it, it's trying to tread in
- 37:10Speaker 1: a softer way. That's to serve my approach. And if
- 37:12Speaker 1: somebody has questions, what are what's you know? I know,
- 37:15Speaker 1: you know personally sometimes I struggle with the right way
- 37:19Speaker 1: to ask questions, so how or even talking to my
- 37:22Speaker 1: kids certain way, like how would you say the best
- 37:24Speaker 1: way to talk to your kids? And then like how
- 37:26Speaker 1: to start bringing up those questions so that you can
- 37:28Speaker 1: have a more fluid conversation. Right, So I totally understand that.
- 37:34Speaker 1: So when I tell people I'm an open book, ask
- 37:36Speaker 1: me any question, that's what that's one person. So I
- 37:39Speaker 1: know that that's easier said than done, because you know,
- 37:42Speaker 1: if someone else is open, or they're going to think
- 37:44Speaker 1: that that's offensive or I know, it's like it's a
- 37:47Speaker 1: hard time to ask these questions. So I think maybe
- 37:51Speaker 1: starting with your inner circle if you you know, or reading.
- 37:54Speaker 1: You know, there's a lot of books out there, and
- 37:56Speaker 1: now it's out there, right if you don't have a
- 37:58Speaker 1: person of color, who's this friend, you know, then google it,
- 38:03Speaker 1: start researching what people are looking for, you know, um
- 38:06Speaker 1: when it comes to your So for me, it's I'm
- 38:08Speaker 1: an open book, but I can see that if someone
- 38:11Speaker 1: is not and they get sort of push back, then
- 38:14Speaker 1: you're going to clam up, right, You're never gonna open
- 38:17Speaker 1: up again, and that's could be a scary thing. So
- 38:19Speaker 1: with kids, you know, I I don't. I don't feel
- 38:23Speaker 1: like they're in a situation, a situation meaning they're they're
- 38:28Speaker 1: half Chinese that have Jewish I don't want them to
- 38:33Speaker 1: feel nervous about that. You know where I grew up
- 38:37Speaker 1: being taught to if someone attacks me, like verbally, to
- 38:40Speaker 1: put my head down, like um, like, you can't change
- 38:43Speaker 1: the way you look, so just like, don't but they
- 38:45Speaker 1: don't like you, so just look down, you know. Where
- 38:47Speaker 1: my kids, I want to sort of have them speak
- 38:50Speaker 1: out on who they are so people know who they
- 38:53Speaker 1: are before it comes back. And maybe that's a defense
- 38:56Speaker 1: mecham I don't know, but I encourage them to acknowledge
- 39:01Speaker 1: skin color and their friends like, oh where are you from?
- 39:04Speaker 1: You know, and like Lucier, you know Lucier family. Lucy
- 39:07Speaker 1: by the way, she she steals the shows. Literally, people like,
- 39:13Speaker 1: we don't want Crystal, don't Lucy. I'm like, I get it, Lucy.
- 39:16Speaker 1: You guys don't even understand the Lucy situation. So Crystal
- 39:20Speaker 1: was out of town one Halloween. It's so Crystals like,
- 39:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna send Lucy with the kids to trigger treat
- 39:28Speaker 1: with you guys. I have never laughed so hard in
- 39:32Speaker 1: my entire life from that evening with her, because she one,
- 39:37Speaker 1: she's going to tell you exactly how it is and
- 39:40Speaker 1: she's gonna boss you, and she like, you guys are
- 39:44Speaker 1: the best dynamic. When she said that dress was ugly,
- 39:48Speaker 1: it's she's I mean, she's not wrong, Crystal, I haven't
- 39:53Speaker 1: worn did don't let me your makeup. Girls are just
- 39:56Speaker 1: like you see what he thinks. She's like, so ugly,
- 39:58Speaker 1: and it's Lucy hate me. I'm like, she says everyone,
- 40:02Speaker 1: it's not like personal. So with Lucy, she'll say it's
- 40:07Speaker 1: like Zoe like, look at my skin, and she'll have
- 40:10Speaker 1: her look at it, and so she's like, see how
- 40:11Speaker 1: brown I am compared to you? Like we really lean it,
- 40:14Speaker 1: we really talk about it. So it's not a taboo thing.
- 40:18Speaker 1: It's like it's embrace it, you know, and celebrate it.
- 40:22Speaker 1: And so we're like, well, I want to be more
- 40:24Speaker 1: dark and I want to get you know, like and
- 40:26Speaker 1: it's that's you know, and those kinds of comments if
- 40:30Speaker 1: you are not open as an adult, can feel you
- 40:34Speaker 1: know whatever, but like nerve racking. But actually, from what
- 40:39Speaker 1: I'm trying to instill in them is how great and
- 40:42Speaker 1: positive saying something like that is so but anyways with Lucy,
- 40:46Speaker 1: like she deserves her own show and she's she's incredible.
- 40:51Speaker 1: You guys are so great, Like what is the full dynamic?
- 40:55Speaker 1: I mean, you guys are so busy. What's the full
- 40:57Speaker 1: dynamic of your house? Especially like once filming all that
- 41:00Speaker 1: kind of stuff, Like how does it? How does it?
- 41:04Speaker 1: Pre COVID, I'm very social, Like she's the most social
- 41:08Speaker 1: person ever. You guys like you've never she schedules two
- 41:11Speaker 1: dinners a night. Yeah, it's yeah, it's a problem and
- 41:17Speaker 1: it's a problem. Um. So with COVID it was like
- 41:22Speaker 1: depression shut down and then filming, so that was weird. Um.
- 41:27Speaker 1: But you know, we are a very active family. Like
- 41:30Speaker 1: I'm always on the like wet mom websites in l A,
- 41:34Speaker 1: what's going on? You know. So Rob will be in
- 41:37Speaker 1: the studio working until maybe three his movies um in Canada,
- 41:40Speaker 1: so he's dooming to Canada. So he's off at three.
- 41:43Speaker 1: You know, I'm doing what I don't ask about it.
- 41:48Speaker 1: And then we're like we take organizing things organizing. I'm
- 41:51Speaker 1: just looking at my laundry basket like I can't wake
- 41:53Speaker 1: to put it away. And we'll go golfing and we
- 41:57Speaker 1: do like whatever we do movie nights, Rob is up
- 42:00Speaker 1: tessed with the kids. If they watched TV, it's like
- 42:02Speaker 1: it has to be erected on a giant scrape, and
- 42:07Speaker 1: so we do outdrecter so often. It's not normal. Um,
- 42:12Speaker 1: but I don't know what's their daily routine. We're just
- 42:13Speaker 1: like a normal I don't know we're normal. She's just
- 42:16Speaker 1: like everybody else. You guys, like you call me exercise
- 42:19Speaker 1: and I always find an excuse him as before that
- 42:21Speaker 1: I can't make it. She didn't make it to one though,
- 42:24Speaker 1: you made it to one. Even in COVID, we like
- 42:28Speaker 1: we're separated socially distance. She did a workout video with me.
- 42:31Speaker 1: I'm very grateful for that, and you coming here. Um,
- 42:34Speaker 1: A couple of other people were curious, how do you
- 42:36Speaker 1: know Tiffany Moon from Dallas? Oh, so it's funny. She
- 42:41Speaker 1: was face timing before this. So Tiffany and I met
- 42:45Speaker 1: because of this. Really yeah, yeah, we didn't know each other.
- 42:49Speaker 1: And she I noticed that she was like following me
- 42:52Speaker 1: and liking me. I think she you know, she found
- 42:54Speaker 1: out I was on it, and and you know, you
- 42:56Speaker 1: do have an automatic connection, you know. And and her
- 43:00Speaker 1: series was clearly very hig. This race issue was very heightened. Um,
- 43:06Speaker 1: and we're both from northern China. We're just two years apart,
- 43:09Speaker 1: so we had a lot of connection. And you know,
- 43:12Speaker 1: I was starting to be a doctor and so I
- 43:13Speaker 1: felt like I understood what her life was and we
- 43:17Speaker 1: just started texting calling. She had dinner here a couple
- 43:20Speaker 1: of weeks ago. She's been pressing here in l A.
- 43:22Speaker 1: And Um, she's a great um person to talk to
- 43:26Speaker 1: with kind of exact experience six months prior. Yeah, like
- 43:31Speaker 1: telling what happened this, you know, like she does exactly
- 43:33Speaker 1: what I'm going through, but six monther earlier, so I
- 43:36Speaker 1: had in real time. Yeah, she's a good girl, but
- 43:39Speaker 1: she she had it really hard. I was unbelievably hard,
- 43:42Speaker 1: really hard. Yeah that's yeah. Yeah, that Twitter. You gotta
- 43:49Speaker 1: that Twitter. Believe me. I'm going I'm not on Twitter.
- 43:54Speaker 1: You know what. Instagram is a safe and safe and
- 43:56Speaker 1: fuzzy place. So I really have to wrap. But if
- 44:03Speaker 1: you could change one thing about your first season, what
- 44:09Speaker 1: would it be? M I already know. I just ain't
- 44:16Speaker 1: gonna give too much away. Is that we're worried about
- 44:19Speaker 1: it's coming up very soon, Okay, but it's related to
- 44:24Speaker 1: my arc was sune, and I wish that I didn't
- 44:29Speaker 1: take it on so hard. I'll say that I wish
- 44:33Speaker 1: it wasn't that big of a deal to me, but
- 44:35Speaker 1: I was so emotional about it, and I just wish
- 44:37Speaker 1: I wasn't And not because I don't like crying on
- 44:39Speaker 1: camera or whatever. It's like, it is what it is.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I just I'm a pro at that cry baby. That's me.
- 44:48Speaker 1: I remember Judge some of crying and too. The whole
- 44:52Speaker 1: thing was too overwhelming and I wish I could have
- 44:54Speaker 1: stepped back from him and like, it's actually not a
- 44:56Speaker 1: good deal, just handle it. And I felt sort of
- 45:00Speaker 1: mmm uh, blocked to do that properly. So well, thank
- 45:06Speaker 1: you so much, Crystal. Make sure you guys tune into
- 45:08Speaker 1: the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Wednesday nights at eight o'clock.
