- 0:14Speaker 2: This is the best of Stu Gotson Company Live on
- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Isaiah Thomas could have joined us in about fifteen minutes.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Which one Zeke.
- 0:28Speaker 4: The great one? We'll ask him? What the hell happened to?
- 0:32Speaker 1: Is Detroit Pistons, Nix and Calves tonight? Game one at
- 0:36Speaker 1: the Mecca, But no one wants to talk about that.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Everyone wants to talk about Wemby, Big Wenby. What has
- 0:45Speaker 4: he ever done?
- 0:47Speaker 3: It's like you saw a glimpse into the future, Yes,
- 0:50Speaker 3: and everything was better than it is now, and then
- 0:53Speaker 3: you got to come back to the past.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Yeah, to watch the Knicks Calves. It does feel like
- 1:00Speaker 4: the jvtam. Yeah, it really does. Taylor, how you feel
- 1:04Speaker 4: and headed into a big Game one?
- 1:05Speaker 1: It's not the biggest of the seven game series, That,
- 1:08Speaker 1: of course is Game two, But how do you feel
- 1:12Speaker 1: going into a Game one?
- 1:13Speaker 4: Here? Calves and Knicks here?
- 1:15Speaker 1: Because I found myself depressed watching Wemby, I thought to
- 1:19Speaker 1: myself what are we playing the other series for?
- 1:22Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, So in Dan Buyer's update, he said
- 1:25Speaker 5: og Anenobi was probable. The only thing probable tonight is
- 1:29Speaker 5: we're probably going to open up something on the Cleveland Cavaliers, a.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Can of something, a canna, you know what.
- 1:36Speaker 5: But in terms of that game last night, I think
- 1:39Speaker 5: you can make you the argument it's the best game
- 1:41Speaker 5: one of all time. And it feels rare that for
- 1:44Speaker 5: a series with this kind of hype, it surpassed the hype.
- 1:48Speaker 4: It did so far. For sure, it exceeded the hype.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Put it on the poll. Is that the greatest game
- 1:53Speaker 1: one in the history of the NBA?
- 1:54Speaker 5: Name another one? Is he I saw you laughing?
- 1:56Speaker 3: No, no, I was laughing at the little bit of
- 1:58Speaker 3: Italian came out of you there. You're like, forget what
- 2:00Speaker 3: the phrasing was, but a little bit of Italian came
- 2:02Speaker 3: out of here.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I think I have one, actually, the Michael Jordan's six
- 2:06Speaker 1: threes in the first half against I believe it was
- 2:09Speaker 1: the Portland Trailblazers, wrong one or two, wrong place, wrong time.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I think it was Game one where he shrugged to
- 2:17Speaker 1: Magic Johnson because even Michael couldn't believe. Yeah, even Michael
- 2:21Speaker 1: couldn't believe how hot he was from three.
- 2:24Speaker 6: So the fact that you couldn't remember who it was
- 2:27Speaker 6: against probably not a good sign that it was a
- 2:30Speaker 6: great game.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I was going to say it was against the Lakers,
- 2:32Speaker 1: but he shrugged to Magic.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Magic would have been playing, not calling the game.
- 2:36Speaker 3: So I can think of another big game one Spurs
- 2:39Speaker 3: involved in this one too, Spurs Warriors, the one where
- 2:41Speaker 3: Kawhi had a big lead. I think they were up
- 2:43Speaker 3: twenty five twenty six until Jajah Pacculia slid his foot
- 2:47Speaker 3: under him and turned his ankle and that changed everything.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Wemby went for forty one points twenty four rebounds. They
- 2:52Speaker 1: beat OKC in Game one on the road, which is
- 2:56Speaker 1: absolutely amazing when you consider that OKC eight no in
- 3:00Speaker 1: the playoffs headed into that game. Wemby is young, that
- 3:02Speaker 1: team is young, They're without darn Fox, and still they
- 3:06Speaker 1: get the game one victory over Oklahoma City.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Yes, Taylor Ricardo just nominated Sixers Lakers in two thousand
- 3:12Speaker 5: and one was a great game.
- 3:14Speaker 4: One that Pamber game. How was that? That game? Was
- 3:16Speaker 4: that the game the Sixers won in LA.
- 3:18Speaker 3: One game in the series.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Yeh, Yes, And then they lost in five gentlemen sleep
- 3:23Speaker 4: if there ever was one.
- 3:24Speaker 1: They lost the next four. That was Iverson in Matumbo,
- 3:27Speaker 1: that team, right, correct.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:29Speaker 3: The thing that I love about Wemby speaking of Matumbo
- 3:32Speaker 3: like the mythology of sports, right, where it's just like
- 3:38Speaker 3: you're supposed to build your way up and you're supposed
- 3:40Speaker 3: to sort of check these boxes on the way to
- 3:42Speaker 3: your greatness. Right, you're supposed to want it worse than
- 3:46Speaker 3: everybody else.
- 3:46Speaker 4: He doesn't seem interested in checking boxes.
- 3:49Speaker 3: No, right, No, he does very fast. Yeah, just checking
- 3:52Speaker 3: them off, all of them in one postseason, right, and
- 3:54Speaker 3: you're looking at like his You know what they say
- 3:57Speaker 3: about Lebron, right, wouldn't a killer? Didn't have a killer?
- 4:00Speaker 3: And staning dada YadA. What Wemby is showing you so
- 4:03Speaker 3: far at every stage where the stakes get higher and higher,
- 4:06Speaker 3: it feels like he's giving you more and more. And
- 4:10Speaker 3: last night, for example, you knew he wanted it. You
- 4:13Speaker 3: knew he wanted it in front of that crowd because
- 4:16Speaker 3: SGA was winning the MVP and obviously it's it's the
- 4:19Speaker 3: defending champ and it's the next round of the playoffs,
- 4:22Speaker 3: and some would say it's the final round. Some would
- 4:24Speaker 3: say this is the finals, right, so he wanted it
- 4:27Speaker 3: all and then delivered for you on the first chance
- 4:30Speaker 3: he got yes, And it's just that's you don't normally
- 4:33Speaker 3: see that. You've got to see people climb the ladder.
- 4:35Speaker 3: You've got to see Lebron James struggle against Detroit for
- 4:38Speaker 3: a couple of years in a row before he finally
- 4:39Speaker 3: breaks through.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Right, he does it in a way that's spectacular.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I mean, really, the youngest player ever are to go
- 4:45Speaker 1: forty and twenty in a playoff game.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I mean, it's absurd, is he what we're watching?
- 4:50Speaker 1: To have a guy who has that kind of length,
- 4:53Speaker 1: but has that kind of athletic ability and could pull
- 4:56Speaker 1: up from the logo and hit a big game tying
- 4:59Speaker 1: three late in the game and shoot it with a
- 5:01Speaker 1: form of Steph Curry.
- 5:02Speaker 4: He's not pushing it.
- 5:04Speaker 1: That is a natural shot for Victor Webbin Yamas.
- 5:07Speaker 4: It's remarkable to watch it, really is. Well.
- 5:10Speaker 3: The funny part is is I was saying about to
- 5:13Speaker 3: myself really about his size advantage. Yes, there is no
- 5:18Speaker 3: competition for that, literally, I mean chitt Holmgren is not
- 5:20Speaker 3: his size, and yet people think that's his competition. Right,
- 5:23Speaker 3: so you could throw the ball up there and make
- 5:27Speaker 3: it look like, you know, an adult playing against a
- 5:29Speaker 3: bunch of five year olds, and he can just don't
- 5:31Speaker 3: get every single time. If that's only who Victor Webbin
- 5:34Speaker 3: Yama was, it'd be like, man, that's crazy. That's such
- 5:36Speaker 3: an advantage to have in the NBA. And then it's
- 5:39Speaker 3: like you're saying, he pulls up for threes anywhere, and
- 5:42Speaker 3: he wasn't doing it a whole lot in this game,
- 5:43Speaker 3: but he can pull up from three from anywhere, and
- 5:46Speaker 3: he absolutely owns the game when he's on defense, like
- 5:50Speaker 3: owns the game. I know I've had this conversation with
- 5:52Speaker 3: you before about like we were kind of criticizing him.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I was saying, look, defense is not half of basketball.
- 5:57Speaker 3: It's just not with him.
- 5:58Speaker 4: It might be with.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Him, it might be that big of a factor every
- 6:02Speaker 3: single time down the court where SGA is thinking with
- 6:06Speaker 3: the ease that I know I can score normally, that's
- 6:08Speaker 3: how difficult it is for me. Now, Victor absolutely changes
- 6:12Speaker 3: the game.
- 6:12Speaker 1: He might not block the shot, but he makes you think.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And that's important. Like the fact that those guys who
- 6:19Speaker 1: are never thinking on Oklahoma City because everything's come so
- 6:21Speaker 1: easily and naturally to them.
- 6:23Speaker 4: They're out there thinking.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You could see them thinking should I take it to
- 6:26Speaker 1: the rack or not because they don't know if that
- 6:28Speaker 1: guy's going to be there.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Yeah, Taylor, that's.
- 6:30Speaker 5: The enjoyment that I watch this series with where all
- 6:33Speaker 5: season we kind of talk about the Oklahoma City Thunder
- 6:36Speaker 5: like they're the big bad boogeyman, and then once they
- 6:39Speaker 5: go up against Victor wembin Yama and now the Spurs
- 6:42Speaker 5: are five and one, including the regular season against this
- 6:44Speaker 5: Thunder team, You're seeing the Thunder who are normally bullying everybody,
- 6:48Speaker 5: being like, we can't even get within eight feet of
- 6:51Speaker 5: the basket because we're so worried about this seven foot
- 6:54Speaker 5: four guy swatting our shot into the tenth row.
- 6:57Speaker 3: And he's asking for all of it. He's asking for
- 7:00Speaker 3: all the pressure. He's asking for you to demand it
- 7:03Speaker 3: of him because he's basically saying, look, I'm going to
- 7:05Speaker 3: do this, and I want to play this sound from
- 7:07Speaker 3: after the game, where it's basically the reporter setting up
- 7:10Speaker 3: the question saying, hey, did you feel this?
- 7:11Speaker 4: Did you feel this?
- 7:12Speaker 3: And Vic just confirming what we all wanted him to say.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Knowing that Shay had got that award and you were
- 7:18Speaker 5: in the top three for it, and you know, did
- 7:20Speaker 5: any part of tonight feel personal? Some of your facial
- 7:23Speaker 5: expressions kind of look like you were really really going
- 7:25Speaker 5: for it.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure. Everything you just said, everything, all of it,
- 7:30Speaker 4: all of it.
- 7:31Speaker 3: That's why he was laughing at SGA after he got
- 7:34Speaker 3: a rebound and SGA with looked afraid to shoot it.
- 7:37Speaker 3: That's why after he blogged Jalen Williams, he's posing like
- 7:40Speaker 3: he's like, I don't know, being painted by somebody, you know,
- 7:43Speaker 3: five hundred years ago. Like he is absolutely wanting it.
- 7:46Speaker 3: And I guess what do you call that? Ramaxing Taylor?
- 7:49Speaker 3: Because he is absolutely showing you as he's doing it.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Look at me. I'm doing everything I told you I
- 7:55Speaker 3: was going to do, and I'm doing it against the
- 7:57Speaker 3: defending champs and this other seven foot and I'm.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Doing it all the without d Aaron Fox.
- 8:02Speaker 5: Webbin Yama was the star of the game for sure.
- 8:04Speaker 5: The other person that I thought really showed out was
- 8:06Speaker 5: the rookie Dylan Harper, where he becomes just the second
- 8:09Speaker 5: rookie with twenty points, ten rebounds, five assists, five steals
- 8:12Speaker 5: in a playoff game, joining Magic Johnson. But Stu, my
- 8:16Speaker 5: question for you. Yeah, he's Ron Harper's son. If Ron
- 8:19Speaker 5: Harper could go back in time, do you think he
- 8:20Speaker 5: would have named Dylan Harper Ron Harper Junior and Ron
- 8:24Speaker 5: Harper Junior Dylan Harper.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I think if you asked Ron that this morning, he
- 8:28Speaker 1: absolutely would have opted for Ron Harper junior.
- 8:30Speaker 5: Yes, poor Ron Harper Junior on the Celtics, like G
- 8:34Speaker 5: League team. He's like, man, yeah, my dad really wishes
- 8:37Speaker 5: he named my brother.
- 8:39Speaker 4: I think Dan Byer wants to get in here.
- 8:41Speaker 1: But Taylor, weren't you redrafting the twenty twenty five draft before?
- 8:45Speaker 4: Were you doing something? What were you doing before? Yeah?
- 8:47Speaker 5: So I'm working on the twenty twenty five redraft right now.
- 8:50Speaker 5: The Mavericks are on the clock. I'll let you know
- 8:52Speaker 5: who they pick it.
- 8:54Speaker 4: So it's not Cooper Flagg.
- 8:55Speaker 5: It might be, it might be, it might not be.
- 8:58Speaker 4: On the clock.
- 8:58Speaker 7: He just said it the thing that I loved, And
- 9:01Speaker 7: I'm glad you guys talked about Wemby's defense because that
- 9:03Speaker 7: was the story I thought in the first half of
- 9:05Speaker 7: GI just of Oklahoma City settling. But there's so many
- 9:09Speaker 7: games within the games, So Wemby plays all but what
- 9:12Speaker 7: seven minutes last night? So the minutes that like Luke
- 9:16Speaker 7: Cornett's in the game, You're like, wow, Oklahoma City better
- 9:19Speaker 7: make their hay right now. Like there's just the little
- 9:22Speaker 7: things like that, of like, all right, can they take
- 9:24Speaker 7: advantage of Wemby just being on the bench for a
- 9:27Speaker 7: four minute spurt? It made last night so entertaining in
- 9:31Speaker 7: so many different ways. And Jalen Williams return, I mean,
- 9:33Speaker 7: he's gassed. He's playing a double overtime game in his
- 9:36Speaker 7: first game in a month. Last night just had everything
- 9:39Speaker 7: I am told. The pick is in?
- 9:40Speaker 4: Is he okayhead Taylor?
- 9:42Speaker 5: Yes, The Dallas Mavericks, with the number one pick in
- 9:45Speaker 5: the twenty twenty five NBA Redraft have selected Dylan Harper
- 9:51Speaker 5: Ron Harper Junior. The San Antonio Spurs are now on
- 9:57Speaker 5: the clock.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Spurs are getting the number two pick's hed dyland hyper
- 10:04Speaker 3: last year.
- 10:04Speaker 4: But wait, so the Spurs are gonna get Cooper Flag.
- 10:07Speaker 4: You never know, I can go nipple. All right, Well,
- 10:10Speaker 4: we'll come back to you in a second.
- 10:12Speaker 1: To get the second pick in the twenty twenty five
- 10:15Speaker 1: draft that has already happened. Well, tell me what the
- 10:18Speaker 1: pick is on the clock. Isaiah Thomas going to join
- 10:20Speaker 1: us here in just a second. Watching that as a
- 10:23Speaker 1: Nick fan, it was depressing because I'm excited about the Knicks.
- 10:26Speaker 1: They play the Cavs Game one tonight. Everyone thinks that
- 10:29Speaker 1: series is going to be over in five or six games.
- 10:32Speaker 1: But I was depressed as a Nick fan because even
- 10:34Speaker 1: if they get to the NBA Finals and if that
- 10:36Speaker 1: guy gets there, I said earlier, I wanted Oklahoma City.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I still do because I don't want to face San Antonio,
- 10:44Speaker 1: And so I was depressed as a Knick fan watching
- 10:46Speaker 1: that gameless.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Well, I'm just gonna quote Taylor's friend from a text
- 10:50Speaker 3: that he exchanged. Nobody's thinking about the next sight now.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Nobody was thinking about the Knicks last night. Nobody's thinking like,
- 10:56Speaker 3: if you're a Knicks fan and you're sitting there envisioning
- 10:58Speaker 3: the matchup between Karl Anthony Towns and Victor wibin Yama,
- 11:02Speaker 3: You're going to drive yourself into a deep depression.
- 11:04Speaker 1: This is very exciting. The draft is moving quickly. The
- 11:07Speaker 1: second pick is in. Let's go to Taylor with the
- 11:09Speaker 1: second pick. The San Antonio Spur select Konkoin Nipple.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Wow, do need better shooting around Wemby.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Who has the third pick?
- 11:20Speaker 5: The Philadelphia Sixers now on the clock.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Wow, they might get Coop.
- 11:27Speaker 3: They already have a year of experience with Edgecomb, so
- 11:29Speaker 3: maybe they want to draft him again.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I might take Edgecombe. I might stick with him. Who
- 11:33Speaker 1: has the fourth pick in the draft?
- 11:34Speaker 5: The Hornets?
- 11:35Speaker 4: Oh wow.

- 12:11Speaker 4: Rust is up one game to nothing, must win for
- 12:13Speaker 4: Rest tonight? Huge? Yes? Huge?
- 12:16Speaker 3: I mean how long were they thunder off for a week?
- 12:19Speaker 4: Yes?
- 12:19Speaker 3: And so and they obviously looked rusty. So if the
- 12:21Speaker 3: Knicks do not take advantage of their rest tonight. I
- 12:24Speaker 3: think Rest has to take a few years off.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Taylor, how you feeling. We're headed into a big
- 12:28Speaker 1: game one tonight at the Mecca.
- 12:29Speaker 4: How you feeling? Huh?
- 12:31Speaker 5: This is a big week for Rest versus Rust, because
- 12:33Speaker 5: I'm also looking at game one of the Canadians Hurricanes
- 12:37Speaker 5: on Thursday.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:38Speaker 5: I can't remember the last time the Hurricanes played hockey.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Yeah a minute.
- 12:43Speaker 1: They won eight straight, much like Oklahoma City did until
- 12:46Speaker 1: last night, until one became.
- 12:48Speaker 5: They finished the series against the Flyers like three weeks ago.
- 12:51Speaker 4: It feels like, yes, Martelly was on with us. Brenda
- 12:56Speaker 4: Moore just waiting around. That is so good.
- 13:00Speaker 1: All right, let's get to the fleme bomb from yesterday.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Go ahead, Tailor set this up. The guys want to
- 13:05Speaker 1: make fun of me, and they have every reason to,
- 13:07Speaker 1: so go ahead.
- 13:08Speaker 4: This was with Mike Breen, I believe yesterday.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Yeah exactly. So this is with Mike Breen. Stu Gotts
- 13:13Speaker 5: is trying to clarify what Mike Breen. We're looking for
- 13:16Speaker 5: a mount rushmore of w F a gestation in New York.
- 13:21Speaker 5: But this is Stugotts trying to power through it all.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Right, So I'm going to guess I'm guessing Mike Breens.
- 13:29Speaker 4: That was me choking on my own flem. I just
- 13:31Speaker 4: got off a flight.
- 13:33Speaker 3: The flight has nothing to do with it, nothing to
- 13:35Speaker 3: do with anything, and I was.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Three hours removed from said flight.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Oh god, So I'm going to guess I'm guessing Mike Breens.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Oh God, I wasn't ready for it again, I was
- 13:48Speaker 1: bathing in it.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Do you have it isolated? Like do you have just
- 13:53Speaker 4: the flemebomb isolated?
- 13:55Speaker 1: Guessing Mike Breens, that's hard to Breen texted me afterwards
- 14:02Speaker 1: and said, are you okay?
- 14:04Speaker 3: We're still not sure? The hurricanes last plate on May fourth?
- 14:09Speaker 1: Oh my god, let's let's hear my flew one more Breens,
- 14:15Speaker 1: the expanded version.
- 14:19Speaker 4: So I'm gonna guess I'm guessing Mike Breens.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Oh God, Jesus, that's like a voice like distorder.
- 14:26Speaker 4: Yes, Dan, has that ever happened to you?
- 14:30Speaker 7: Quite often during updates? In fact, not even during interviews
- 14:34Speaker 7: where I can bail out.
- 14:36Speaker 1: You are far too professional for that to ever happen
- 14:39Speaker 1: to you. It's that Mikey is agreed, Mikey, That's never
- 14:41Speaker 1: happened to Dampire, right.
- 14:43Speaker 6: That's absolutely never happened to I'm not sure that's happened
- 14:45Speaker 6: to any other human.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Many sound like that much.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Yeah, sounded like you're gargling mid sentence.
- 14:52Speaker 3: You also could probably take a break from those cigarettes.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Well, it leads me right into the compromising position that
- 14:58Speaker 1: I have put Israel Goody Era in today. Think of
- 15:01Speaker 1: all that just the way we know Iszy Okay, he
- 15:05Speaker 1: is a physical specimen. He has a trainer just for
- 15:08Speaker 1: his legs.
- 15:11Speaker 4: It's a great sentence for each leg. Yeah, yeah, for
- 15:14Speaker 4: each leg. Now you're thinking.
- 15:18Speaker 1: He goes to the gym three or four times a day.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I mean if he took his shirt, I am telling
- 15:23Speaker 1: you he is chiseled. Okay, So he eats healthy. He
- 15:27Speaker 1: does all the right things from a health standpoint, most
- 15:30Speaker 1: of the right things. So think about the most compromising
- 15:33Speaker 1: position one could possibly put Israel in when asking is
- 15:38Speaker 1: he to do a favor for them? Hey, can you
- 15:39Speaker 1: pick something up for me, Mikeye, go ahead, I'll start
- 15:43Speaker 1: with you. What is the most compromising thing you could
- 15:45Speaker 1: ask Israel booty Eras to.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Do that would bring him maximum amount of shame. I'll
- 15:52Speaker 4: give you.
- 15:53Speaker 3: I'll give you an answer, Mikey Yeah, send me to
- 15:55Speaker 3: pick up anything in an auto parts store.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Damn mbuyer wants to chime in here, what do you
- 16:01Speaker 4: got to Yeah?
- 16:02Speaker 7: Can you get me the bogo at Burger King with
- 16:05Speaker 7: the original chicken sandwich and a large doctor pepper.
- 16:09Speaker 4: That would be great. Sadly that's one of them, but
- 16:11Speaker 4: not number one.
- 16:13Speaker 3: I'm not ordering extra cheese on anything for anybody.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Yeah, tell you want to take a stab at it.
- 16:20Speaker 5: I think I could guess it because I feel like
- 16:22Speaker 5: this is how I got my start at meatow Lark.
- 16:24Speaker 5: When Stu Gotts would walk in and he would just
- 16:27Speaker 5: look at me at the door and be like, hey,
- 16:29Speaker 5: you work here. I'm like yeah, and he's like, here's
- 16:31Speaker 5: one hundred dollars. Go to the nearest store and buy
- 16:34Speaker 5: me some cigarette.
- 16:34Speaker 4: La in a second, you owe me eighty bucks. Then stude,
- 16:38Speaker 4: I gave you a twenty. You didn't ask for change.
- 16:42Speaker 1: You didn't give me a hundred. I gave Viya twenty.
- 16:44Speaker 1: He said, those are eleven ninety nine. I owe you money,
- 16:47Speaker 1: and I said, listen, I would have paid twenty four,
- 16:48Speaker 1: so it doesn't matter.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Just take it. I'm not gonna lie.
- 16:51Speaker 3: The experience wasn't like embarrassing because everybody smoked cigarettes. It
- 16:55Speaker 3: was just nerve wracking because there's so many cigarettes and
- 16:58Speaker 3: I just don't know of him any at the right ones.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Like he told me all the words. It was like
- 17:03Speaker 3: this and this and this number and short and tall,
- 17:05Speaker 3: and I was like, all right, just repeat it one
- 17:07Speaker 3: more time because I'm just gonna spit it back out
- 17:08Speaker 3: and hope they get the right one.
- 17:10Speaker 4: I said, the normal silvers, okay, not the one hundreds.
- 17:13Speaker 1: That's where I draw the line, a right, trying to
- 17:18Speaker 1: be healthy.
- 17:19Speaker 4: No, Mikey, he did it at a gas station.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Just I want you to imagine the Israel goody eras
- 17:27Speaker 1: that we have all known, that we have come to
- 17:30Speaker 1: love and respect very much, walking into a Marathon gas
- 17:34Speaker 1: station and ordering a pack of Marlborough Silvers shorts.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Like I swear they're not for me.
- 17:41Speaker 4: There's a real flemy guy over there down the street.
- 17:44Speaker 4: I just got off a plane.
- 17:49Speaker 3: The first time I ever bought cigarettes before. Thank you
- 17:51Speaker 3: Stu gats really enriching my life with an experience I've
- 17:54Speaker 3: never had before.
- 17:55Speaker 4: How did it feel?
- 17:56Speaker 3: Like I said, it was very nerve wracking, confusing, But
- 17:59Speaker 3: I thought, you know, once I knew that I did
- 18:01Speaker 3: the right thing, that I got the right box felt great.
- 18:03Speaker 4: Did you feel like you were being judged? Because I
- 18:05Speaker 4: often do. I mean because like I've had people say
- 18:08Speaker 4: to me, hey, what are you doing? Like no one
- 18:10Speaker 4: smokes anymore.
- 18:11Speaker 3: I think everybody in that gas station at the moment
- 18:14Speaker 3: probably smoked.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Yes, So it wasn't a big deal. If it's a marathon,
- 18:19Speaker 4: it's not a sprint because you can't.
- 18:25Speaker 5: Winded.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Don't send me into a Victoria's Secrets.
- 18:28Speaker 4: I'll be lost.
- 18:29Speaker 8: Those two lungs would collapse. You'll never wake on a sprint.
- 18:34Speaker 8: I can't remember the last time I sprint. We're ran
- 18:37Speaker 8: for that matter, we're exercise period.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Thanks forgetting the miss.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 18:47Speaker 2: Live WHEKDA said three pm Eastern, twelve pm Pacific.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Ragonfly Jon's gonna join us in about fifteen minutes. I
- 18:56Speaker 1: say that name, and every time I say it, Taylor
- 18:58Speaker 1: starts laughing.
- 18:58Speaker 4: It sounds ridiculous coming out of my mouth.
- 19:00Speaker 8: Is Tyler?
- 19:01Speaker 4: Okay?
- 19:02Speaker 1: Dragonfly Jones is his name. That's what he goes by.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Does it sound ridiculous? Is real goods? Every time I
- 19:08Speaker 1: say Dragonfly joke.
- 19:09Speaker 3: It soundsguous when you say just the dragonfly fire Like
- 19:12Speaker 3: You're not going to refer to him as dragonfly?
- 19:14Speaker 4: Are you? I am?
- 19:16Speaker 1: Yes, right, yes, so yeah, Well Mikey, what are you
- 19:20Speaker 1: shaking your head about? It's embarrassing.
- 19:21Speaker 4: I mean, it's a little weird.
- 19:23Speaker 5: It's a little weird here somebody who's dragonfly?
- 19:26Speaker 1: Okay, I mean people refer to me as Stugatts. That's weird.
- 19:29Speaker 4: My daughters do, yeah, I guess. Uh.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Anyway, this is very exciting. Uh and again, Dragonfly Jones
- 19:36Speaker 1: good to join us. In about fifteen minutes, we'll get
- 19:38Speaker 1: back to the NBA and Victor Webbin Yama bub. We
- 19:42Speaker 1: have a game around here called is It Just Me?
- 19:45Speaker 8: Or?
- 19:45Speaker 4: And now we have a spin off up.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Said game courtesy of Israel Goody Aires. The name of
- 19:52Speaker 1: the game is I'm sorry, but.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Oh you like that? Is there imaging for the this game?
- 20:00Speaker 4: Let's just use the same imaging as is It Just Me?
- 20:03Speaker 9: Or?
- 20:03Speaker 5: We got different imaging? Wow, imaging?
- 20:07Speaker 4: Wow, you guys didn't see this coming. How'd you know?
- 20:09Speaker 4: I mean, wow, he's a little more modern. I like it. Yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 4: your kind of music? Did I get espresso martini?
- 20:21Speaker 8: Oh?
- 20:21Speaker 4: Man?
- 20:22Speaker 5: Is you started so we could get the idea of this.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Is definitely a brunch like lobby track.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Don't you dare tempt Israel with a good time, Mike
- 20:30Speaker 1: he ageez.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I'm sorry, but yeah, can somebody please tell Reggie Miller
- 20:37Speaker 3: that he can't say oh, he can say it, but
- 20:39Speaker 3: not to say also too all the time? Oh my god,
- 20:44Speaker 3: it's so infuriating.
- 20:45Speaker 4: You can just.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Say also, man, just say also. But it's almost like
- 20:49Speaker 3: he takes pride in the also too, like it's his thing.
- 20:52Speaker 3: And I find it as somebody who you know, loves
- 20:55Speaker 3: grammar find it maddening, maddening every time he says it,
- 20:59Speaker 3: and he's taking it as his like pet thing.
- 21:01Speaker 4: It feels like and like if I'm just gonna pull
- 21:03Speaker 4: on this string.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Why did we grant Reggie Miller a lifetime of color
- 21:06Speaker 3: commentary when he wasn't even that great of a player, Like,
- 21:09Speaker 3: come on, well, you welcome to our.
- 21:11Speaker 4: Side taking out Reggie Miller. I mean, you're not gonna
- 21:14Speaker 4: like to do this to people, but come on.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're doing it right now, and I'm so
- 21:18Speaker 1: proud of you. I mean, one moment was shot, one
- 21:20Speaker 1: moment Hall of Fame.
- 21:22Speaker 3: I mean, I mean, Jamal Crawford is just gonna say it.
- 21:25Speaker 4: He's better.
- 21:26Speaker 3: He's better than Reggie Miller.
- 21:27Speaker 4: What he's doing right now?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Jay Crossover, Yeah, I mean Reggie making the series all
- 21:33Speaker 1: about himself. He inserts himself into every sery, I understand
- 21:36Speaker 1: Pacers and Knicks. Why are you inserting yourself into a
- 21:40Speaker 1: series in which he never played for either team?
- 21:42Speaker 4: What does he do?
- 21:43Speaker 3: We also two, he does that also too.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Next person, let's go to Mikey A and Mikey Yeah,
- 21:50Speaker 1: you have one here. I'm sorry, Bud a spin off
- 21:53Speaker 1: of Is It just Me? Or what a ridiculous show?
- 21:56Speaker 1: Go ahead, I love it.
- 21:58Speaker 6: I'm sorry, but enough moving all these NFL events all
- 22:01Speaker 6: the way all around, Like, we don't need the Draft
- 22:04Speaker 6: in Minneapolis. We didn't need it in Pittsburgh. We didn't
- 22:06Speaker 6: need it in Detroit. We don't need the super Bowl
- 22:09Speaker 6: in cold weather places. The Draft belongs in New York,
- 22:12Speaker 6: and the super Bowl belongs in Miami or LA or
- 22:16Speaker 6: Tampa because it bothers.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Izzy, we don't.
- 22:18Speaker 6: Need it in all these places.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm sorry. Put Nashville.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Yes, there's a billboard for Tampa. It says not that
- 22:25Speaker 1: far away. I said, that yesterday. If it was in
- 22:27Speaker 1: my backyard, I wouldn't visit Tampa.
- 22:29Speaker 4: I do.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I'm intrigued by Nashville. I think Nashville will be a
- 22:32Speaker 1: good spot for the Super Bowl.
- 22:33Speaker 4: I did sure, that's one of the places that it
- 22:35Speaker 4: should be.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Yeah, East Coast, the draft doesn't need to move.
- 22:39Speaker 4: I was asking, the draft doesn't need to move East
- 22:41Speaker 4: Coast time? Or were we an hour back there? What's
- 22:43Speaker 4: going on? Hey? Question? No, that's central time. Nashville's central time.
- 22:47Speaker 6: They go, oh, seven hundred thousand people showed up to
- 22:50Speaker 6: the draft.
- 22:50Speaker 9: You know what.
- 22:51Speaker 4: You never hear anybody go, yeah, it was a good time.
- 22:56Speaker 4: Put it on the pole, Taylor.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Has anyone ever walked away from the NFL Draft saying
- 23:00Speaker 1: they had a good time?
- 23:02Speaker 5: I got one got I'm sorry, But Yankees catcher Austin
- 23:07Speaker 5: Wells having one hundred and ten at bats and five
- 23:10Speaker 5: RBIs is absolutely pathetic.
- 23:14Speaker 4: That sounds terrible. Yeah, this is Austin Wells. Where's he
- 23:17Speaker 4: from again? Republic of Dominica, Republic's catcher. It just sounds
- 23:23Speaker 4: so Dominican.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I often forget and me saying Dragonfly Jones sounds ridiculous.
- 23:29Speaker 5: He's from Scottsdale, Arizona.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Of course he is, Yes, like a proud Dominican.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Like Dante di Vicenzo.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Four percent of your at bats you have an RBI.
- 23:38Speaker 5: That's so pathetic.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Levotar kept calling him the Italian kid. He's from Ohio, somewhere.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Delaware, whatever, same thing, same thing.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Does bort Opricardo have one? Or does he watching baseball today?
- 23:53Speaker 5: He does not have one?
- 23:54Speaker 4: Wow? Yeah, I'm big Marlins four o'clock game. I think
- 23:57Speaker 4: EP Jason has what I'm told. This is very exciting.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Go ahead, EP Jason.
- 24:01Speaker 9: I'm sorry, but for the conference finals and the NBA Finals,
- 24:05Speaker 9: could there be a law against alternate jerseys? There were
- 24:09Speaker 9: two traditional road jerseys on the court last night, and
- 24:13Speaker 9: I need traditional whites for home, traditional roads for the roads,
- 24:18Speaker 9: traditional homes for the homes, traditional roads for the roads.
- 24:21Speaker 9: Just for these conference finals and NBA Finals. You can
- 24:25Speaker 9: make a joke of the game throughout the entire regular season,
- 24:28Speaker 9: but keep my product consistent to how I grew up.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I'm sorry, but.
- 24:33Speaker 3: That's when I knew the Pistons were going to lose
- 24:36Speaker 3: Game seven. How do you wear your road blues at
- 24:39Speaker 3: a home game seven?
- 24:42Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but I'm sorry, but Israel Goudy Aeras is
- 24:45Speaker 1: turning into me right in front of our hour our eyes.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Don't let employee turnover slow down business. Express Employment Professionals

- 25:05Speaker 3: for the Express.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Pros Pro of the Week.
- 25:08Speaker 3: The Pro the Week goes to Victor Wembinyamo, of course,
- 25:11Speaker 3: after leading the spur of the moment, I mean jeez,
- 25:15Speaker 3: and had the forty one point and twenty four rebounds
- 25:17Speaker 3: and then went over the thunder in the first game
- 25:18Speaker 3: of the Western Conference Finals last night. Congrats wenby another award.
- 25:22Speaker 3: You are the Express pros Pro of the Week.
- 25:24Speaker 4: I have to agree with you. Guys.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Me saying Dragonfly Jones sounds ridiculous.
- 25:31Speaker 3: I think even Tyler kind of looked at you funny.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Yeah, well, well Taylor did for certain Tyler was as well.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Tyler's his real name. Yes, I am told that there
- 25:40Speaker 1: is a softball update here and we have Nix Hawks
- 25:44Speaker 1: Game one A Nick Hawks Knicks cav Game one. I
- 25:48Speaker 1: am a nervous wreck. I am depressed because I watched
- 25:51Speaker 1: Wemby last night. I feel like the next now don't
- 25:53Speaker 1: have a chance. But is he I am told I
- 25:56Speaker 1: don't care about the NBA right now, because I am
- 25:58Speaker 1: told there was a gritty performance in a softball game
- 26:02Speaker 1: in a league that you and Taylor play in sparingly.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Well, I'll start here. I'll give you my personal update.
- 26:08Speaker 3: I did not show really.
- 26:10Speaker 4: There were plenty of people available. Was that the gritty performance?
- 26:13Speaker 3: I mean, well, we'll see, we'll get Let Taylor tell
- 26:15Speaker 3: you the rest of it. But I was, as you sed,
- 26:17Speaker 3: you got glued to the NHL playoffs. Oh then he
- 26:20Speaker 3: could not get me off the couch, and then obviously
- 26:22Speaker 3: staying there. It was a nine pm start. That it's terrible,
- 26:25Speaker 3: and the Spurs and Thunder was an eight thirty start.
- 26:28Speaker 4: So you know what, I'm gonna go ahead.
- 26:29Speaker 1: We're starting softball games after we start the NBA finals.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Christ got the prime time slot last night.
- 26:37Speaker 4: So what happens.
- 26:38Speaker 5: So you're saying it's a gritty performance, I'm saying it's
- 26:42Speaker 5: the grittiest softball performance in the history of softball.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Really, how could softball get gritty?
- 26:48Speaker 5: I mean, my gosh, we go into the last inning,
- 26:52Speaker 5: down twelve to six the away team. Yeah, so we're
- 26:56Speaker 5: first up. Everybody on our team through ten gets a hit.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Wow, so I believe you started.
- 27:03Speaker 3: You got your four of your six runs in the
- 27:05Speaker 3: first inning, and then it was just a bunch of
- 27:07Speaker 3: you know, pretty empty and then this finally.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Yes, so everyone came up to play and got a hit.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Everybody we bat we bat around, Yes, Mikey.
- 27:17Speaker 4: So so does that mean you're off the schnide. That
- 27:19Speaker 4: means that means his first career hit.
- 27:22Speaker 5: No, he wasn't there, established Mikey. Me and Ian are talking.
- 27:27Speaker 5: Me and my room at Ian are talking. I'm over
- 27:29Speaker 5: too at this point, and I'm like, dude, I might
- 27:32Speaker 5: have to wear like the golden thong that Yankees used
- 27:34Speaker 5: to have to wear to break out of their slumps.
- 27:36Speaker 5: I get up with runners on first and second, nice
- 27:39Speaker 5: little seeing eye single, keep the rally going. Now we're
- 27:42Speaker 5: down three bases loaded our leadoff hitter, Tony. I switched
- 27:46Speaker 5: the lineup up.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Is he that's my gay?
- 27:48Speaker 5: I went with an analytic lineup for this game, and
- 27:51Speaker 5: a lot of people were questioning, saying, hey, your analytic
- 27:53Speaker 5: lineup kind of stinks. Through four innings, first inning.
- 27:56Speaker 4: You look like a genius. Hold on, let's pause for
- 27:58Speaker 4: a second. Who said that? Like someone on the opposing
- 28:00Speaker 4: team actually pointed this out.
- 28:02Speaker 5: People people in attendance were like, Wow, he's going with
- 28:05Speaker 5: the analytic line.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Who was in attendance. They were holding signs of it everywhere.
- 28:09Speaker 5: He went analytic today.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Well, you had thirty three thousand last night of the Bark.
- 28:13Speaker 5: So we're down three Tony's bases loaded right?
- 28:16Speaker 4: Why Tony first left? Just out of curiosity?
- 28:19Speaker 5: Tony's a lefty. He's gonna put the ball in play. Yes,
- 28:22Speaker 5: he's he's gonna he's gonna speed. Yes, good speed, Tony.
- 28:25Speaker 5: Well Mac, Yes, So our our strategy has put the
- 28:28Speaker 5: two guys on. The first two leadoff guys are guys
- 28:31Speaker 5: who get on, and then the third kid on our
- 28:33Speaker 5: team is the kid who just hits home runs.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Okay, so they set the plate right.
- 28:37Speaker 5: So Tony is up down three bases loaded right inside
- 28:44Speaker 5: the park, grand slam.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Wow, why you put Tony in the one spot?
- 28:48Speaker 5: I mean, we score seven runs, we're up thirteen to twelve.
- 28:52Speaker 5: We're going in the field. We go out. Our pitcher
- 28:55Speaker 5: did a great job, but we switched aj to pitcher
- 28:57Speaker 5: aj slightly slightly better of a picture. We get to
- 29:01Speaker 5: two outs runners on first we're still up thirteen twelve.
- 29:04Speaker 5: Ball gets hit to our third baseman. Yeah, he makes
- 29:07Speaker 5: an error. He makes an error. The tying run scores.
- 29:12Speaker 5: Now have they get bases loaded? Two outs?
- 29:15Speaker 4: Yes?
- 29:16Speaker 5: A pop fly goes to Ian and left field, and
- 29:19Speaker 5: everybody knows ian struggles are very well off.
- 29:22Speaker 1: He's in left field because you're trying to not have
- 29:24Speaker 1: the ball hit to Ian.
- 29:25Speaker 5: Yes, no, he so we had a bad first game,
- 29:28Speaker 5: but Ian has turned a corner of defense. But now
- 29:31Speaker 5: you could see his legs start buckling when this pop
- 29:34Speaker 5: up comes, and if he drops it, the game's over.
- 29:37Speaker 4: Jesus christ Ian squeezes it.
- 29:40Speaker 5: Third out. We're all looking at each other because now
- 29:42Speaker 5: it's thirteen thirteen and the ump goes time and everybody's
- 29:47Speaker 5: like what. And we were like, oh, we'll pay you
- 29:50Speaker 5: whatever your hourly rate is, we'll pay you to play
- 29:52Speaker 5: a extra inning. He's like no, and we go, Okay,
- 29:55Speaker 5: let's pick two guys, one from each team. Home run derby.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Wollow that's my rule, yes too.
- 30:00Speaker 5: The only reason I pitched that is because our number
- 30:02Speaker 5: three batter only hits home runs.
- 30:04Speaker 4: I love that.
- 30:04Speaker 5: Yes, the umpire looks at us and goes, Nope, this
- 30:07Speaker 5: is game.
- 30:07Speaker 4: It's a tie.
- 30:09Speaker 1: You know what I learned to I still can't win
- 30:11Speaker 1: without me. Tig times we won, Yeah, I was there.
- 30:17Speaker 1: They can only tie when you're not there.
