- 0:17Speaker 2: Trade Trenholm and Rebecca Black. Coming up on today's show
- 0:24Speaker 2: Wrong Answers only my wife versus a Hot Pepper, and
- 0:32Speaker 2: we're going to start with a relationship on the Rocks.
- 0:37Speaker 2: News broke over the weekend at Dallas. Cowboys quarterback Dak
- 0:41Speaker 2: Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos called it quits one month
- 0:45Speaker 2: before their wedding, and since the announcement, rumors have been
- 0:50Speaker 2: flying as to the reason for the sudden breakup, including
- 0:55Speaker 2: a disagreement over a prenup and my personal favorite, Dak
- 0:59Speaker 2: is made of ring repell.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I hadn't heard that one.
- 1:04Speaker 2: There's been very there's been varying ring jokes around. I
- 1:08Speaker 2: mean every post I've seen, the first and most liked
- 1:13Speaker 2: comments have been slamming Dak and his avoidance of rings, like, oh,
- 1:17Speaker 2: he's still bro can't get a ring, Bro, couldn't even
- 1:20Speaker 2: get this ring.
- 1:21Speaker 4: All these types of ring jokes.
- 1:23Speaker 3: It's the closest he's ever been.
- 1:25Speaker 2: It really is and that one too, saying this is
- 1:27Speaker 2: the closest Dak will ever get to a ring and
- 1:29Speaker 2: he still can't get it there. But I just know,
- 1:33Speaker 2: I just know that somewhere Tony Romo is laughing his sketchers.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Off appreciated the sketcher comment, Thank.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You, dre What what where's your head on this whole scenario?
- 1:50Speaker 5: You know, Dak can't even buy a ring like that.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I mean, he bought it, but he has a return
- 1:57Speaker 3: it now.
- 1:58Speaker 5: No, but he he choked before he could put it on.
- 2:02Speaker 4: That's right. Uh, it does This does bring.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Up and no, no, and Rebecca, he bought a ring
- 2:11Speaker 1: for somebody else. When it came to getting the one
- 2:14Speaker 1: on his he choked before he got got there.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Facts, you are absolutely correct. Technicalities right there. We can't
- 2:21Speaker 3: win on a technicality here, and that's.
- 2:23Speaker 2: And that's how sports and relationships get intertwined. And look,
- 2:29Speaker 2: so I want to point this out because I think
- 2:33Speaker 2: it's fair to say there are a lot of assumptions
- 2:36Speaker 2: going on when it comes to this whole story. And
- 2:39Speaker 2: ever since the news broke, people just started filling in
- 2:43Speaker 2: the gaps because there was no information. We as a
- 2:47Speaker 2: species have a real hard time keeping our thoughts to ourselves,
- 2:50Speaker 2: and social media has made everything worse. So when we
- 2:53Speaker 2: hear about a couple that's broken up and we don't
- 2:55Speaker 2: get any information as to the reason why, we start
- 2:58Speaker 2: coming up with our own reasons. And sometimes those reasons
- 3:02Speaker 2: are reflections of ourselves. Sometimes it's just wild assumptions. I
- 3:06Speaker 2: don't know, but this is all heightened when it's celebrities
- 3:11Speaker 2: and there's money involved, lots and lots of money, lots
- 3:15Speaker 2: and lots of drama. And if Dak keeps this up,
- 3:18Speaker 2: there's going to be an entire Bravos series called The
- 3:21Speaker 2: Real Exes.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Of Dak Prescott Fingers Crossed.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I'd actually watched that one. Say I haven't watched any
- 3:27Speaker 2: of those shows. I would probably watch that one.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Anything involving an X I'm gonna watch. I do not
- 3:32Speaker 3: care if you're married already, because the real drama is
- 3:35Speaker 3: happening amongst the exes, especially when you have kids.
- 3:37Speaker 4: With the X.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, especially if you get them all in a room
- 3:40Speaker 2: with some wine. Yeah, that's going to be dangerous for
- 3:43Speaker 2: whoever the common denominator is. But let's be honest, we
- 3:49Speaker 2: all had our own assumptions a month before the wedding.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Everything as far as we all knew, which is nothing,
- 3:54Speaker 2: seemed fine. They got two kids together already, they're having
- 3:57Speaker 2: a joint bachelor bachelorette party and the barmas, which we
- 4:00Speaker 2: didn't even know about until it came out that, uh,
- 4:03Speaker 2: they had broken up a month before the wedding. So
- 4:05Speaker 2: because it's a month before, we all start coming up
- 4:08Speaker 2: with our own stories as to the reason why. Oh,
- 4:10Speaker 2: it's clearly a prenup issue.
- 4:12Speaker 4: He cheated.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I saw one girl comment on one of the posts
- 4:15Speaker 2: I saw saying he was in my likes just a
- 4:17Speaker 2: week ago.
- 4:18Speaker 4: I remember, I have no idea if that's true.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Uh So, where do we stand before we dig into
- 4:24Speaker 2: anyone's claims or statements, what do we think happened?
- 4:29Speaker 3: I think she had the kids and now she's like, well,
- 4:31Speaker 3: I don't really have to go through with it.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I am shocked you would say something so anti anti feminist.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Rebecca, Oh is that anti feminist? She got hers? She's
- 4:41Speaker 3: good for the next eighteen years.
- 4:43Speaker 5: Got to a card.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I'm like, she has time to save.
- 4:48Speaker 5: I said.
- 4:48Speaker 1: She popped out two ATM cards Like yeah.
- 4:54Speaker 3: This is again. As as a celebrity with a gajillion
- 4:57Speaker 3: dollars on the line all the time. I have never
- 5:00Speaker 3: understood why you would have a baby with somebody before
- 5:02Speaker 3: you've like nailed all of the money stuff down. I
- 5:06Speaker 3: have never understood that, because to me, that just screams
- 5:10Speaker 3: somebody's only in it for this.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Yeah, So the two biggest re Becca let me because
- 5:16Speaker 1: in the heat of the moment, you're not wanting to
- 5:19Speaker 1: call your attorney and go, hey, can you got work
- 5:21Speaker 1: draft in these documents?
- 5:23Speaker 3: I mean, but once you've signed your NFL contract deal,
- 5:27Speaker 3: a lawyer hasn't already presented like the NDA kind of
- 5:30Speaker 3: situation to you, like where you just slide it across
- 5:34Speaker 3: the table before the events begin.
- 5:36Speaker 4: You know, that would actually make sense.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Any agent worth his or her salt, yes, is dealing
- 5:41Speaker 2: with millions of dollars and his whole mission is to
- 5:44Speaker 2: protect his client, not to protect his client's relationships or
- 5:47Speaker 2: his client's girlfriends, or.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Or because because professional athletes listen to their agents and
- 5:53Speaker 1: advisors so often.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Wait, wait, wait, I have to insert this one fun
- 5:57Speaker 3: fact about the NFL. My brother is a former NFL
- 6:00Speaker 3: football player. Okay, when they sign their contracts with teams,
- 6:04Speaker 3: when they get drafted, I'm not kidding you. They have
- 6:07Speaker 3: a three day rookie introduction where they go over all
- 6:12Speaker 3: of these things. They talk about using protection, they talk
- 6:17Speaker 3: about women are only in it for cash, and that
- 6:20Speaker 3: they will take your money. They literally have a three
- 6:24Speaker 3: day conference devoted to.
- 6:25Speaker 2: The very thing, and it has failed ever since they institution.
- 6:31Speaker 3: That says more about you men.
- 6:33Speaker 1: No, what it goes to is you were talking about
- 6:39Speaker 1: elite athletes who have been for the most part, pampered
- 6:42Speaker 1: and babied since they were probably in junior high, but
- 6:46Speaker 1: especially in high school, even more so in college. And
- 6:50Speaker 1: and they don't a lot of times they've had people
- 6:55Speaker 1: around them that just cleans up their messes for them.
- 6:57Speaker 1: This just happens to be a mess you you can't
- 6:59Speaker 1: really clean up up. But here's the thing. We're talking
- 7:01Speaker 1: about prenups. Rebecca's right at this point a month before
- 7:07Speaker 1: I doubt they're still haggling over a prenup, you know.
- 7:11Speaker 1: And if she has a decent attorney with two kids,
- 7:16Speaker 1: no matter what happens, she could secure that she's she's
- 7:18Speaker 1: set for life and sort of kids.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Yeah like that.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I have a tough time with that that one.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Yeah, so I think it's been Here's the problem with
- 7:29Speaker 2: the rookie orientation when it comes to the NFL.
- 7:32Speaker 5: Okay, I can't tell this story. On can't, I.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Can't.
- 7:43Speaker 5: They knows part of the story. Uh actually knows the story.
- 7:51Speaker 1: But all I'm gonna say is with certain organizations, if
- 7:55Speaker 1: you look at their the upper leadership and management, sometimes
- 7:57Speaker 1: they don't set the best example. And we'll go from
- 7:59Speaker 1: oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I know the story.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Yep, yeah, let's just keep that. Let's keep that in
- 8:05Speaker 4: our back pocket should we ever actually need it.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Someday we'll tell Rebecca the story.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I was literally like, after we get off, I'm going
- 8:11Speaker 3: to need to hear that.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I know, because I could see you drooling.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I love a good story, especially when it's probably somebody
- 8:17Speaker 3: I might know.
- 8:19Speaker 4: This is a this is a good one.
- 8:21Speaker 2: But anyway, back to the rookie orientation that the NFL gives,
- 8:24Speaker 2: You're right, yeah, they have that rookie orientation. They get
- 8:27Speaker 2: these guys in a closed room for like three days
- 8:30Speaker 2: and give them all all the trials and tribulations, the warnings,
- 8:35Speaker 2: all of it, and then most of them don't listen.
- 8:38Speaker 2: And here's why all they're doing is doing the same
- 8:42Speaker 2: all these players not all, but a good number of
- 8:45Speaker 2: these players have skated by in classrooms their entire athletic lives.
- 8:51Speaker 2: If you're trying to deliver a message to them that
- 8:55Speaker 2: they'll retain, you shouldn't do it in a classroom. They've
- 8:58Speaker 2: been trained to ignore stuff being told to them in
- 9:00Speaker 2: a classroom, So you need to find another way to
- 9:04Speaker 2: do it so it actually sticks. And it's really difficult
- 9:07Speaker 2: because also think of yourself when you were twenty two
- 9:10Speaker 2: years old, did you really listen to anybody older than
- 9:13Speaker 2: you that said, if you don't listen to me, you're
- 9:15Speaker 2: gonna be in trouble.
- 9:16Speaker 4: No, we just have to learn it on our own.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Especially when that lesson is coming from somebody who's making
- 9:21Speaker 1: a twentieth of what you're making. Right. Yeah, and not
- 9:25Speaker 1: only Dan, you're talking about the classroom these guys have had,
- 9:28Speaker 1: especially when you get to college. They have people that
- 9:33Speaker 1: follow them around and clean up their messages, especially if
- 9:36Speaker 1: they're the upper echelon of players. They have a number
- 9:39Speaker 1: they can call where someone cut. They have fixers.
- 9:42Speaker 3: M I think I'm just more sad at the lack
- 9:45Speaker 3: of common sense like that. You can't put the two
- 9:48Speaker 3: and two together here, like it's very it's sad.
- 9:52Speaker 4: And what is that?
- 9:54Speaker 3: But they can't figure out that, like this kind of
- 9:57Speaker 3: stuff is gonna happen, like there's always gonna be a
- 9:59Speaker 3: money She right, like yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 4: So.
- 10:05Speaker 2: On, so everyone knows who Emmanuel Accho is, former NFL player.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Now he's on TV a lot.
- 10:10Speaker 2: He's got a podcast along with the rest of us,
- 10:13Speaker 2: and he was saying on it he was leaning into
- 10:16Speaker 2: the whole prenup rumor talking about whether or not prenups
- 10:19Speaker 2: are a good idea or not. And that's a whole
- 10:21Speaker 2: other topic to have. That's a whole other topic of
- 10:24Speaker 2: discussion to have in general. But as far as it
- 10:27Speaker 2: goes with Dak and his now ex. She decided to
- 10:32Speaker 2: dive into the comments on a clip of that show
- 10:35Speaker 2: on Instagram to say, no, this is not about a prenup.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I hope we can put that to rest now. And
- 10:42Speaker 2: to know, shock to anybody, no one believes her. All
- 10:47Speaker 2: the comments after that are basically like okay, yeah, you know,
- 10:51Speaker 2: no one believes it. Everyone thinks like if there was
- 10:55Speaker 2: a percentage, it'd be like eighty ninety percent. It was
- 10:59Speaker 2: an issue with the prenup, I e her fault and
- 11:01Speaker 2: the other small percentages. Oh Dack did something like he
- 11:04Speaker 2: cheated or whatever.
- 11:07Speaker 3: I don't actually think it's a prenup situation. Do either
- 11:10Speaker 3: of y'all believe that? Excuse? I really don't. I think
- 11:12Speaker 3: she's being honest in that that it's not a pre
- 11:14Speaker 3: nup thing.
- 11:14Speaker 4: No, I want to believe that, Yeah, I want to.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Yeah, they've been engaged for forever well and yeah when
- 11:22Speaker 1: he signed that new deal. I mean they've had plenty
- 11:26Speaker 1: of time. I think a pre nup was ironed out
- 11:28Speaker 1: a long time. And like I said, I am sure
- 11:33Speaker 1: she had representation that.
- 11:35Speaker 5: I mean, you have to.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It wouldn't take her to have you know, some incredibly
- 11:41Speaker 1: you know, shark attorney to carve out a deal for
- 11:44Speaker 1: her that she's set for life.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Like you're having a gigantic wedding in Italy or whatever. Yeah, right,
- 11:51Speaker 3: you don't plan a hardcore, ridiculously stupid expensive wedding in
- 11:55Speaker 3: Italy without already having those detail set in stone.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I don't think logically, absolutely, that makes all the sense
- 12:02Speaker 2: in the world. Now here's another angle on this that
- 12:04Speaker 2: I want to bring up. When the news broke, they
- 12:08Speaker 2: released a statement, well, actually really didn't even release a statement.
- 12:11Speaker 2: They send an email to all their guests, and then
- 12:13Speaker 2: one of the guests leaked at the TMZ and it said,
- 12:17Speaker 2: as many of you know, our wedding is currently scheduled
- 12:20Speaker 2: to take place in Lake Como, Italy on Friday, April tenth,
- 12:23Speaker 2: twenty twenty six. It is with heavy hearts that we
- 12:25Speaker 2: privately inform our attendees that we have made the very
- 12:28Speaker 2: difficult decision to cancel our wedding. We deeply apologize for
- 12:31Speaker 2: any inconvenience this may cause you, and we welcome your prayers.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Sarah Jane Ramos and Dak Prescott emailed two wedding guests
- 12:40Speaker 2: via TMZ.
- 12:43Speaker 3: What's the appropriate etiquette when you call off a wedding?
- 12:46Speaker 3: Is it an email? Because I feel like I don't know,
- 12:50Speaker 3: you should be like it's the easiest.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I mean, it's either that or you just yes, yes,
- 12:58Speaker 2: you absolutely return the gifts if you've received any. But
- 13:01Speaker 2: to be honest with you, the amount of money he
- 13:03Speaker 2: makes if you are registered for gifts anywhere off.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree with that for sure.
- 13:09Speaker 5: You should.
- 13:10Speaker 4: You shall.
- 13:10Speaker 1: You should reimburse people for their if they lose money
- 13:13Speaker 1: on their travel, agreed.
- 13:15Speaker 2: M especially if you're inviting some of your friends who
- 13:19Speaker 2: aren't as well off as you and can't afford to
- 13:22Speaker 2: not only go to Lake Como, Italy for your wedding,
- 13:25Speaker 2: but maybe couldn't afford to go to the Bahamas on
- 13:27Speaker 2: the joint bachelor bachelorette party, which brings me to my
- 13:31Speaker 2: last point. I wanted to mention about this. The email
- 13:34Speaker 2: to the guests got leaked to TMZ. The real story
- 13:38Speaker 2: is gonna come out about this. Someone in that party's
- 13:40Speaker 2: gonna spill the tea and I'll be here to drink it.
- 13:43Speaker 3: So did you see the stripper rumor? So not for
- 13:49Speaker 3: Dak by the way, for her like, apparently at the
- 13:52Speaker 3: co bachelor bachelorette party there was a stripper incident and
- 13:56Speaker 3: things may have gotten a little too far with the.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Tray. What's the name of the guy that Diddy was
- 14:04Speaker 4: really really big.
- 14:05Speaker 1: On the hammer, the one that he used to pay
- 14:11Speaker 1: to bang cast or whatever.
- 14:14Speaker 5: I think the hammer, I think it was his nickname
- 14:17Speaker 5: or something like that.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Was he there because that might explain it? We got
- 14:23Speaker 4: a Diddy ho.
- 14:28Speaker 2: So no, I had not heard that rumor about there
- 14:30Speaker 2: being some inappropriateness with the stripper on her part.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw it on Instagram. There's no telling if
- 14:36Speaker 3: that's if there's any validity behind it. But I'm all
- 14:39Speaker 3: about giving a false opinion and a false story when
- 14:42Speaker 3: it comes to this.
- 14:43Speaker 2: So yeah, if it's fun and exciting and adds drama
- 14:46Speaker 2: to it, sure, I mean I saw a post on
- 14:47Speaker 2: Instagram the other day that said McDonald's meat is made
- 14:50Speaker 2: of people, So sure.
- 14:51Speaker 3: There you go.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I mean, just Dak is the anti Gollum.
- 15:00Speaker 4: That's really good. I mean sports and literature.
- 15:06Speaker 3: We're so smart guys.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Somehow I don't believe you.

- 17:43Speaker 2: Trey and Rebecca. Before I tell you about my wife
- 17:46Speaker 2: versus the hot pepper, I want to give you Actually,
- 17:50Speaker 2: let me phrase it this way. You know, naughty by nature, yeah, BP, Yeah,
- 17:55Speaker 2: you know, I am you. I am curious by nature.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And what I mean by that is this. As far
- 18:02Speaker 2: as the Dak Prescott, Sarah Jane Ramo's breakup thing, TMZ
- 18:08Speaker 2: came out and said, at least according to reports, that
- 18:12Speaker 2: her family has money, so it's not necessarily about a prenup.
- 18:17Speaker 2: But when it comes to prenups, do you think prenups
- 18:21Speaker 2: are bad?
- 18:25Speaker 4: You know?
- 18:25Speaker 3: I think in my younger days when I was like
- 18:26Speaker 3: twenty something and like the idea of marriage was just
- 18:29Speaker 3: so like, oh, it's a fairy tale. Yes, I thought
- 18:32Speaker 3: they were bad, but now that I have aged and
- 18:34Speaker 3: gotten wiser in my years, I don't think it's bad,
- 18:38Speaker 3: especially when you're dealing with hell of money like that.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, because if you're on the receiving end of the prenup,
- 18:44Speaker 2: do you feel insulted?
- 18:46Speaker 3: I I can kind of understand that, But there has
- 18:50Speaker 3: to be like a part of you that knows, like
- 18:52Speaker 3: if you've got gajillions of dollars in your bank account, like, yeah,
- 18:55Speaker 3: there needs to be some protection. It really has nothing
- 18:58Speaker 3: to do with you. It's just the dollars.
- 19:03Speaker 4: I guess the it was.
- 19:04Speaker 2: It was interesting in that clip that I saw that
- 19:07Speaker 2: Sarah Jane Ramos had commented on on Emmanuel Occhio's podcast.
- 19:11Speaker 2: He was saying, look, if you have a prenup, this
- 19:14Speaker 2: is it. It's bad to have a prenup because, and
- 19:17Speaker 2: his reasoning was, this person has your life in their hands.
- 19:24Speaker 2: So he's like, you sleep next to this person every
- 19:26Speaker 2: single night. If they wanted to kill you, they could,
- 19:29Speaker 2: so why are you making them sign this prenup kind
- 19:32Speaker 2: of a thing, which is an interesting angle totally, and
- 19:37Speaker 2: but one of my I don't.
- 19:39Speaker 4: I don't think I took a screenshot of it.
- 19:41Speaker 2: But someone brought up a very salient point, which is
- 19:45Speaker 2: the person you marry is not the person you divorce.
- 19:48Speaker 2: So that is an argument for the prenup. And I've
- 19:53Speaker 2: always kind of wanted to be on the romantic side
- 19:56Speaker 2: of the prenup. It's like, no, it shouldn't have to
- 19:58Speaker 2: be a thing, but ultimate either you do one or
- 20:03Speaker 2: the state does one for you. If you get divorced,
- 20:07Speaker 2: stuff's gonna get split up. So either you have a
- 20:10Speaker 2: say in it, or it's all based on what is
- 20:12Speaker 2: state law in your state.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Trade where do you fall?
- 20:16Speaker 1: I fall I'm for them. And here's what people don't
- 20:20Speaker 1: think about. If you're on the receiving end of a
- 20:24Speaker 1: pre nup, just because that person has money now doesn't
- 20:28Speaker 1: mean they're gonna have money ten to fifteen years from now. True,
- 20:32Speaker 1: you can also protect yourself because you can go, Okay,
- 20:34Speaker 1: you've got one hundred million dollars, you put fifteen of
- 20:37Speaker 1: it in an account that's strictly for me and the kids.
- 20:40Speaker 1: No matter what happens, you can't touch it. They make
- 20:43Speaker 1: because they make one bad investment, one bad decision all
- 20:46Speaker 1: that money could go away and you're protected for the
- 20:48Speaker 1: rest of your life.
- 20:49Speaker 4: So they they you hate to.
- 20:53Speaker 1: See to look at romance as a business transaction, but
- 20:56Speaker 1: ultimately everything, almost everything in life is. And if you
- 21:00Speaker 1: go back and look at some of the big decisions
- 21:02Speaker 1: you make along the way, and you're like, man, if
- 21:04Speaker 1: I had had put something in writing and done things differently,
- 21:07Speaker 1: I'd be in a better position. Marriage is the same way.
- 21:11Speaker 2: So I think I've just had the realization of where
- 21:15Speaker 2: I fall on this in its entirety. And that is
- 21:19Speaker 2: on top of if you don't do one, the state's
- 21:21Speaker 2: going to do one for you. If you're on the
- 21:23Speaker 2: receiving end of the prenup. If you were marrying someone
- 21:26Speaker 2: worth a hundred million dollars and they present you with
- 21:28Speaker 2: a prenup, a couple things. Number one, that's not the
- 21:31Speaker 2: thing you have to sign. It's a negotiation. You can
- 21:33Speaker 2: set yourself up for success in the event that the
- 21:36Speaker 2: marriage dissolves. Next up, if you have the prenap can
- 21:42Speaker 2: also protect you. If you let me back that up,
- 21:48Speaker 2: the prenap can also protect you. The person you're marrying
- 21:51Speaker 2: is worth a hundred million dollars and you're worth five dollars.
- 21:55Speaker 2: But if you have goals in life, and you have
- 21:57Speaker 2: things you want to accomplish, like start a business or
- 22:00Speaker 2: do something that could possibly make you a bunch of money,
- 22:04Speaker 2: it makes sense to protect yourself. Also, because it goes
- 22:07Speaker 2: back to what Trey said, just because the person you're
- 22:09Speaker 2: marrying has money now doesn't mean they're always going to
- 22:12Speaker 2: have it. They could lose it, and then what if
- 22:14Speaker 2: you're the bread winner and then once they've lost it,
- 22:17Speaker 2: you have become successful and now they are dependent upon you.
- 22:21Speaker 2: So it makes sense to protect yourself in that matter.
- 22:24Speaker 2: It's not just a one way street. And the other
- 22:26Speaker 2: thing is this, if you don't have any goals to
- 22:30Speaker 2: do anything in life where you could actually become the
- 22:33Speaker 2: breadwinner in that situation, or at least on equal footing
- 22:36Speaker 2: financially as your partner, then that person should be sticking
- 22:41Speaker 2: a prenup in front of you.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:45Speaker 3: I totally agree with you. I really do, lawyer.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Did I'm not even I didn't even finish college.
- 22:54Speaker 3: I'll hire you when I get divorced.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Dan.
- 22:57Speaker 2: I think it's important that I use the disclaimer that
- 23:01Speaker 2: my thoughts and opinion should not be taken as legal advice,
- 23:05Speaker 2: but I will take your money, yes, thank you very much.
- 23:08Speaker 2: And also since Trey you mentioned the child support thing,
- 23:11Speaker 2: I googled this to see what because I know when
- 23:15Speaker 2: we talked about the Deon Sanders divorce case years ago,
- 23:18Speaker 2: that was when I learned about the child support stuff
- 23:21Speaker 2: in Texas that there's caps on it.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Despite where there is, this is not child warning.
- 23:27Speaker 2: This is not other states where you can get a
- 23:30Speaker 2: quarter of a million dollars a month in child support nonsense.
- 23:33Speaker 4: In Texas they actually just increased it.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Last September twenty twenty five, the maximum monthly net resources
- 23:42Speaker 2: used to calculate child support in Texas increased to eleven
- 23:46Speaker 2: seven hundred dollars.
- 23:48Speaker 4: That's the maximum.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Is that a month?
- 23:50Speaker 4: Yeah? I mean, I mean that's a lot of money.
- 23:54Speaker 4: I will get that. Yeah.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Now granted that's a dropping that's a dropping a bucket
- 23:59Speaker 2: when you a guy making sixty million a year, that's like,
- 24:02Speaker 2: that's just that's a valet.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Tip.
- 24:05Speaker 2: The maximum guideline child support amounts based on this cap
- 24:09Speaker 2: it goes. It breaks it down to how many children
- 24:11Speaker 2: you have and how much each child is a cap at.
- 24:13Speaker 2: But the ultimate maximum is eleven thousand, seven hundred bucks.
- 24:17Speaker 4: However, high earners. There is a high earner exception.
- 24:23Speaker 2: If a parent earns over eleven thy seven hundred per month,
- 24:26Speaker 2: the court may still order additional support based on the
- 24:29Speaker 2: income of the parents and the needs of the children
- 24:32Speaker 2: exceeding those guideline maxims. That's a big if, though, because
- 24:35Speaker 2: you're talking about a state that has a cap. You're
- 24:38Speaker 2: gonna have a difficult time trying to say you need
- 24:41Speaker 2: a quarter of a million dollars a month in child support,
- 24:44Speaker 2: like some states get away with it. You hear about
- 24:46Speaker 2: it and other celebrity divorces and stuff, and ultimately, like Rebecca,
- 24:51Speaker 2: you just said, I mean twelve grand a month.
- 24:54Speaker 4: That's that's that's good. That's yeah, that's a good job.
- 24:58Speaker 3: I can make that work.
- 25:00Speaker 4: I'll find a way to scrape.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Yes, I will. I will scrape by not a problem.
- 25:04Speaker 3: And if we want to double that, because he's got
- 25:06Speaker 3: two kids, I can make it happen.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Sure you know, and look and this and this is
- 25:10Speaker 2: something that can also be stuck in your prenup. Absolutely
- 25:15Speaker 2: everything's negotiable in that prenup. I mean, people put some
- 25:17Speaker 2: weird stuff in there.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Well, and and by law, whoever is presenting the prenup
- 25:25Speaker 1: has to if kind of like your Miranda rights, if
- 25:31Speaker 1: the other person doesn't have money for counsel, they have
- 25:33Speaker 1: to provide counsel for them to go over it for
- 25:36Speaker 1: it to be binding.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Yeah, so.
- 25:41Speaker 1: You have a decent attorney, you can carve out a
- 25:45Speaker 1: good deal for yourself where you're taken care of.
- 25:49Speaker 3: I've also heard that in Texas, even though we have
- 25:51Speaker 3: like those laws and those caps and all that kind
- 25:53Speaker 3: of stuff that, like Trey said, if you do have
- 25:55Speaker 3: a really good attorney, there's loopholes and all of it.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Everything's negociable.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Well, like the child support cap.
- 26:04Speaker 1: That's the cap for the state mandated, Like if you
- 26:07Speaker 1: don't pay child support and you get hauled to court,
- 26:10Speaker 1: their cap. Now, as far as a settlement goes in
- 26:14Speaker 1: a divorce, there is no cap. Everything is negotiable. So
- 26:18Speaker 1: you know, if you're making two million dollars a year,
- 26:22Speaker 1: so that's you know, roughly one hundred and seventy five
- 26:25Speaker 1: thousand a month, you can afford thirty forty that whatever
- 26:31Speaker 1: and exaid. Yeah, it's all negotiable or smaller fee. But
- 26:35Speaker 1: then they have to pay because then it comes down
- 26:36Speaker 1: to schools, medical insurance, all all the other crap.
- 26:41Speaker 2: And let's be honest, these are all rich people problems
- 26:43Speaker 2: because those of us poors don't have to worry about
- 26:46Speaker 2: free and ups because we don't have enough stuff.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Now like, oh, did you want my old crappy lounge
- 26:53Speaker 3: chair from college? Sure you can have that.
- 26:56Speaker 2: If anything, that would be more like punishment than than
- 26:59Speaker 2: the win, you know. So like my marriage, my wife
- 27:02Speaker 2: did not present me with a prenup before we got married.
- 27:04Speaker 2: I didn't present her with one. But this morning was
- 27:06Speaker 2: very different. She came from the garden and presented me
- 27:09Speaker 2: with one of her hot peppers. So my wife is
- 27:12Speaker 2: a is a gardener on the side, and I like
- 27:15Speaker 2: some hot peppers.
- 27:16Speaker 4: And the ironic thing is she does not.
- 27:18Speaker 2: My wife cannot handle spicy, so she grows some hot
- 27:22Speaker 2: peppers for me. And part of the irony there is
- 27:24Speaker 2: the things that grow the best here are hot peppers,
- 27:27Speaker 2: and I can't.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Keep up with her yield.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Oh yeah, what kind of peppers are we talking about?
- 27:36Speaker 4: What's the he that hot pepper?
- 27:43Speaker 2: We can't remember the name of it. It's like a
- 27:44Speaker 2: it's like a citrusy hall opanion. We can't remember the
- 27:47Speaker 2: exact strain of it.
- 27:48Speaker 3: But I was gonna say, how hot is it?
- 27:52Speaker 2: Like?
- 27:52Speaker 3: Do you have a Do you have the Scoville number
- 27:54Speaker 3: for it?
- 27:55Speaker 2: I don't because I can't remember the name of it,
- 27:57Speaker 2: but I'll find out and i'll let you know, because
- 28:00Speaker 2: I know Holapanno's are like they start at twenty five
- 28:02Speaker 2: hundred on the Schoolville. These look like the like the
- 28:08Speaker 2: bird's eye peppers, which are extremely hot.
- 28:11Speaker 4: It's not that it's not that hot.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I would say about a halapano, maybe between a Holapano
- 28:17Speaker 2: and a serrano. So spicy, but cit your seat, it's
- 28:20Speaker 2: very nice. So they just recently, Oh, she brought me some.
- 28:23Speaker 2: So this is what it looks like. This is what
- 28:25Speaker 2: it looks like when it just green. You know, it's
- 28:27Speaker 2: a green, thin pepper. It looks kind of like a
- 28:30Speaker 2: small Anaheim pepper, but it's much spicier than that. And
- 28:35Speaker 2: and now they've started to turn yellow. So since they
- 28:40Speaker 2: started to turn yellow, Tara wanted me to try one
- 28:42Speaker 2: to see how spicy it was, to see if it
- 28:44Speaker 2: like calmed down.
- 28:45Speaker 3: That's what I was wondering too.
- 28:47Speaker 2: It did not usually gets hotter, right, That's exactly what
- 28:51Speaker 2: it did. So she handed it to me. Maybe I
- 28:53Speaker 2: shoot the best for the prenup instead of this she hands.
- 28:56Speaker 2: She's like, hey, I need you to try. Like, okay,
- 28:57Speaker 2: that's right, I'll stick this in my mouth. So I
- 28:59Speaker 2: do the smart thing and I buy it off the
- 29:01Speaker 2: end like this right, just a tiny a little nibble
- 29:05Speaker 2: on the end.
- 29:08Speaker 4: And I said, this is not for you.
- 29:11Speaker 3: You can't handle it. Oh how sweet. That's romantic and
- 29:15Speaker 3: nice gesture of you.
- 29:17Speaker 2: That's exactly what I did. But the problem is my
- 29:19Speaker 2: wife doesn't listen to me. I told her, I told
- 29:23Speaker 2: her not to try it.
- 29:23Speaker 4: It's not a tarra pepper.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Her response was, but I grew it. She has personal involvements.
- 29:30Speaker 2: She wants to you know.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I appreciate the thought behind wanting to eat the
- 29:34Speaker 3: pepper because she did grow it with her own two hands.
- 29:37Speaker 3: I get it.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Then she did something you really should not do when
- 29:40Speaker 2: trying a hot pepper. She took the open end that
- 29:44Speaker 2: I had bitten off and touched it directly to her tongue.
- 29:48Speaker 2: And I'm trying it was like, slow mo, I'm trying
- 29:50Speaker 2: to tell her, no, just nibble on the teeth, wish
- 29:55Speaker 2: it around a little bit. You don't touch it directly
- 29:57Speaker 2: to your tongue because that's where the fire starts. Yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 2: and she instantly regretted it. Her face changed her mood.
- 30:05Speaker 2: It was one of the saddest yet most adorable faces
- 30:09Speaker 2: I've seen her make, because it was it's like she
- 30:12Speaker 2: turned into a child, just like she's like kind of curious,
- 30:15Speaker 2: like you like, that's so the spicees started washing over
- 30:19Speaker 2: her palate.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I was game over at that point.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Did she cry? Okay, she handled it pretty well.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Then she she did do pretty well. I give her credit,
- 30:29Speaker 2: but yeah, that woman cannot handle spicy. She got that
- 30:32Speaker 2: from her mom, and she's better than her mom was.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Like her mom couldn't even handle black pepper.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I can't even imagine my life without
- 30:40Speaker 3: black pepper.
- 30:41Speaker 4: I can't imagine my life without some of these, right
- 30:44Speaker 4: and good.
- 30:45Speaker 3: So it's safe bet she's not gonna do hot ones.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Op. I found the seats.
- 30:54Speaker 3: That's your fault. Why on earth would you choose to
- 30:57Speaker 3: eat it during.
- 30:58Speaker 4: A show, Because I'm a man.

- 32:53Speaker 4: Are we ready?
- 32:54Speaker 3: Yes? No, I'm terrible at this at.
- 32:58Speaker 4: Fill in the blanks.

- 33:01Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 33:04Speaker 2: I appreciate your enthusiasm, even feeling like you're not going
- 33:07Speaker 2: to be any good at it.
- 33:07Speaker 4: All right, here we go.
- 33:09Speaker 2: An inmate left his work detail at a fundraising event
- 33:13Speaker 2: to have a romantic interlude with a woman in a blank.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I need the wrong answer only. An inmate left his
- 33:22Speaker 2: work detail at a fundraising event to have a romantic
- 33:26Speaker 2: interlude with a woman in a blank. I'll give you
- 33:30Speaker 2: a couple of seconds to think it over. I need
- 33:32Speaker 2: your wrong answer only, Trey.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Are you ready?
- 33:37Speaker 5: Sure?
- 33:38Speaker 4: Rebecca? Are you ready?
- 33:40Speaker 3: I think so?
- 33:41Speaker 4: All right, let's go with Trey. You're up first.
- 33:45Speaker 2: An inmate left his work detail at a fundraising event
- 33:47Speaker 2: to have a romantic interlude with a woman in a
- 33:52Speaker 2: corn dog stand.
- 33:56Speaker 3: It's delicious. Two birds, one stone.
- 34:01Speaker 4: That one stick.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I don't have my sound effects machine, so ding that
- 34:08Speaker 2: is the wrong answer, which makes it the correct answer.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Good job, Trey, that is a wrong answer. Next up, Rebecca.
- 34:15Speaker 2: An inmate left his work detail at a fundraising event
- 34:18Speaker 2: to have a romantic interlude with a woman in a.
- 34:21Speaker 4: Blank golf cart. That didn't tell himbout bad.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Uh, that is a wrong answer, so ding that actually
- 34:35Speaker 2: makes it correct.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Here on wrong answers only, Man, we gotta put a
- 34:39Speaker 4: fade on that thing tray. All right, are you ready
- 34:41Speaker 4: for Yeah, that's a nice soothing more soothing that way. Okay,
- 34:47Speaker 4: are you ready for the right answer?
- 34:49Speaker 3: Yes?
- 34:50Speaker 2: And an inmate left his work detail at a fundraising
- 34:53Speaker 2: event to have a romantic interlude with a woman in
- 34:57Speaker 2: a porta potty.
- 35:02Speaker 4: What. Yeah, there's like.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Nine thousand grosses there. First of all, prison porta potty.
- 35:14Speaker 2: No, it's not a prison porta potty. Let me give
- 35:17Speaker 2: you the full context.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Okay.
- 35:19Speaker 2: The annual Indian River County Sheriff's Barbecue fundraiser in Florida
- 35:24Speaker 2: was a huge success, raised sixty three thousand dollars for
- 35:28Speaker 2: local charities. Unfortunately, people are only talking about what happened
- 35:33Speaker 2: inside of a porta potty, deputies say. Thirty five year
- 35:36Speaker 2: old Hartley Sanchez, an inmate at the prison who was
- 35:39Speaker 2: on a work detail at one of the food booths,
- 35:43Speaker 2: slipped away from his post and met up with a
- 35:45Speaker 2: woman inside of a portable toilet for what investigators called
- 35:49Speaker 2: an unauthorized conjugal visit. So it's a barbecue fundraiser with
- 35:55Speaker 2: I think it had rides and food booths, so it
- 35:58Speaker 2: was sort of a carnival atmosphere.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Okay, oh oh, carniporta potty ooh, okay as prison port
- 36:08Speaker 3: a potty.
- 36:10Speaker 2: All right, I'm I'm gonna run with that for just
- 36:13Speaker 2: a moment, So I'm gonna put on the back burner
- 36:15Speaker 2: my my follow up question. But we're gonna do a
- 36:17Speaker 2: quick versus inside the treehouse. If you had to have
- 36:22Speaker 2: sex inside of a prison porta potty or a carnival
- 36:26Speaker 2: porta potty, which one are you going with?
- 36:33Speaker 3: I won't even use the bathroom in a porta potty, so.
- 36:37Speaker 4: Well, that's actually pretty smart.
- 36:38Speaker 3: They're disgusting, They're very gross. This is this is my dilemma.
- 36:42Speaker 4: It is pretty bad.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Knowing that porta pottis the baseline is disgusting because I
- 36:48Speaker 2: can count it's twice that I've been in a porta
- 36:51Speaker 2: potty and been like, hey, this isn't too bad now
- 36:53Speaker 2: that it only happened twice in my life.
- 36:56Speaker 1: They make nice porta potties these days, like that, they're
- 36:59Speaker 1: like an entire trade or you know, you come in,
- 37:01Speaker 1: they've got running water everything else.
- 37:03Speaker 2: But we had we had wanted our wedding on Terra's
- 37:06Speaker 2: parents property, so we'd have an additional bathroom for the guests.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Very nice.
- 37:10Speaker 5: But to answer your quest, I'll go carnee porta potty?
- 37:13Speaker 1: Why because if I feel something reach up and grab me,
- 37:18Speaker 1: and then I know it's just like a little midget
- 37:20Speaker 1: hand and not you know, it's a clown.
- 37:24Speaker 2: God that makes me what makes me beg for the
- 37:26Speaker 2: prison port of potty. I don't want there to be
- 37:29Speaker 2: the possibility of a clown inside the porta potty reaching
- 37:32Speaker 2: up to get me.
- 37:33Speaker 3: At least in the prison porta potty, you might find
- 37:37Speaker 3: toilet wine or other kinds of hidden contraband that might
- 37:41Speaker 3: be fun for the rest of the day.
- 37:44Speaker 2: That's true, in a prison port of potty, there might
- 37:46Speaker 2: be goodies to be found. In the carnival porta potty,
- 37:48Speaker 2: I'm worried about standing there and out of nowhere a
- 37:51Speaker 2: slowly developing balloon animal pops up out of the como
- 37:56Speaker 2: and a hand Yeah, exactly, just a slow reveal like,
- 38:01Speaker 2: oh God, it's bad enough someone's down there. It's made
- 38:04Speaker 2: worse by the fact that the goddamn clown. Yeah, I'm
- 38:07Speaker 2: gonna go a prison porta potty because Carnival. The carnival
- 38:10Speaker 2: porta potty is too many variables, too many possibilities, too
- 38:13Speaker 2: many unknowns. Yeah, I can't do that. Okay, So that
- 38:17Speaker 2: was the brief, would you rather? So the answer is
- 38:20Speaker 2: the porta potty?
- 38:21Speaker 4: Now.
- 38:24Speaker 2: The woman involved in this tryst was a former inmate
- 38:29Speaker 2: identified as thirty six year old Elizabeth Greer Sanchez. The
- 38:32Speaker 2: guy now faces a new felony charge for a tempting escape,
- 38:36Speaker 2: which could add up to fifteen years to his sentence. Greer,
- 38:40Speaker 2: the woman, who remains on probation, has not yet been charged.
- 38:44Speaker 4: So prisoner on a work.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Release at a sheriffs barbecue fundraiser sneaks off with an
- 38:52Speaker 2: old gal to get it on inside of a porta potty.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Hmm, love, but.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Try to break free or did he just want to
- 39:03Speaker 1: get some and go back to his word detail?
- 39:06Speaker 4: I don't know. That's the part of the story. I
- 39:10Speaker 4: don't have the information on it.
- 39:11Speaker 2: It's like, Okay, they hooked up and then the plan
- 39:14Speaker 2: was they were supposed to escape afterwards.
- 39:16Speaker 4: It's like, uh, escape first.
- 39:18Speaker 3: How rogantaic. Let's let's hit it in theory and then
- 39:24Speaker 3: escape and get married like cause we're please.
- 39:28Speaker 4: All right, here's what's kind of happened.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Sign the first Yeah, I'm gonna bust you out first.
- 39:37Speaker 5: After I'm busted in.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Every every woman's dream be proposed to.
- 39:46Speaker 4: The White Knight inside of his steed.
- 39:49Speaker 3: New Lifetime movie. You guys, I'm telling you we're onto something.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Okay, last a little bit so peggybacking onto this. If
- 39:56Speaker 2: a man or a woman, if the man or a
- 39:58Speaker 2: woman of your dreams wanted you to do everything you've
- 40:02Speaker 2: ever dreamed of to them and with them, but you
- 40:05Speaker 2: can only do it in a porta potty, would you
- 40:08Speaker 2: suck it up and do it?
- 40:09Speaker 3: No?
- 40:10Speaker 4: Or say you know, you know goodbye?
- 40:13Speaker 3: Also, I now don't like you anymore, period, Like that
- 40:18Speaker 3: is the fastest way to get me to just be
- 40:20Speaker 3: like you.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Nope, oh not me personally for asking a question, just
- 40:25Speaker 2: a person saying you can do whatever you want, but
- 40:27Speaker 2: it's got to be in here, right.
- 40:29Speaker 3: You're no longer my dream person, Like you've literally just
- 40:33Speaker 3: ruined it in one moment, Trey.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Yeah, there's not enough room.
- 40:40Speaker 3: That's that's the first reason. Is the room situation?
- 40:44Speaker 4: Space is your question.
- 40:48Speaker 2: You're not worried about the toilet clown in the middle
- 40:51Speaker 2: of it.
- 40:51Speaker 3: There's so many pooh germs all over that place.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Everyone's getting UTI's.
- 41:00Speaker 3: All the infections are gonna happen.
- 41:06Speaker 5: I mean, there's no place you know.
- 41:10Speaker 3: You're worried about your elbows in this situation.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Yeah, there's no place to put, you know, a bar
- 41:16Speaker 1: grips anything.
- 41:17Speaker 5: You know.
- 41:18Speaker 4: No, Yeah, they have grab bars in.
- 41:19Speaker 5: There, do they.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Yeah they have to right legally, yeah they.
- 41:24Speaker 5: Yeah, but up high, like you know, you can't hang.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:26Speaker 2: I don't think they want the handy capable people hanging
- 41:29Speaker 2: from the porta potty. I think the idea is for
- 41:32Speaker 2: them to maintain some self respect. But if you walk
- 41:37Speaker 2: into a porta potty to a disabled person dangling from
- 41:41Speaker 2: the grab bar on the roof, viewing stuff down below you.
- 41:45Speaker 5: It's it's a wheelchair accessible port a potty. So there's
- 41:50Speaker 5: more rumor those.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Okay, I knew you would find a way to say yes.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:58Speaker 2: If it's possible, a guy will find a way to
- 42:00Speaker 2: turn a no into a yes.
- 42:01Speaker 4: On that front.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Congratulations oh Man for all things Treehouse, Treehouse on air
