Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fierazzo.
- 0:19Hey, friends.
- 0:20Thank you so much for tuning in and thank you for sharing the podcast.
- 0:24I didn't have the mic close enough.
- 0:26Hey, Christians cannot trust the liberal media.
- 0:31That's what we're going to be talking about this podcast.
- 0:34And I want to start off with a brand new article I just saw.
- 0:39This gives an idea of where we're going to go today.
- 0:42You know, I've been really blessed to watch CJ Stroud, the Houston Texans, the quarterback.
- 0:50He's been an amazing first-of-all player and quarterback, very effective.
- 0:55But he's been praising God, mentioning Jesus.
- 0:58He's a very outspoken Christian.
- 1:01And this is an interesting story that just came out recently.
- 1:04NBC censored his mention of Jesus.
- 1:11And here, I'll just get into it real quick.
- 1:14After leading his team to victory over the Cleveland Browns in that first playoff game,
- 1:19Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud was interviewed by NBC
- 1:24without hesitation.
- 1:25He made sure everyone knew what was behind his talent.
- 1:29That was his faith.
- 1:30He said, quote, first and foremost, I just want to give all glory to my Lord and Savior,
- 1:36Jesus Christ.
- 1:38And then he went on to talk about his team and the fans and that he was so blessed to have
- 1:42the opportunity.
- 1:44But NBC censored that.
- 1:47They ruined the mention of Jesus.
- 1:50And I saw it live, so at least I got to hear it.
- 1:53But this is what we're talking about, the world view of the media, of, quote, journalist,
- 1:59of those who report the news to us.
- 2:03And if you are still watching some of these media outlets, some of the mainstream media,
- 2:09I would advise you not to.
- 2:11And I'm going to give you a lot of proof, a lot of information, this podcast.
- 2:16One of the stories we're going to get to is now only 3.4% of journalists are Republican.
- 2:25This is a brand new study, brand new.
- 2:28But let's go back, let's go back to the end of last year, Gallup did a poll and revealed
- 2:35why Americans or most Americans, I should say, have distrust in major media outlets.
- 2:44And this is a result in an all time low, which is well deserved, the media in America and
- 2:50all time low.
- 2:53So it says 32% at the end of last year, 32% of people have some trust in today's media
- 3:01while nearly 40% say they have no trust at all.
- 3:06One of the things that came out in that poll, by the way, at the end of last year in Gallup
- 3:10said most Americans distrust the liberal media, but they support Israel.
- 3:16Most Americans support Israel, you would never know that.
- 3:20You would never know that by the reporting, by the media, by what the talking points
- 3:25that are put out on social media.
- 3:27And I like to call it the one party big tech media conglomerate.
- 3:33That's what it is.
- 3:34One party pretty much controls the narrative, the talking points they have the power.
- 3:40And I'm going to give, I'm reinforced why in this podcast today.
- 3:44So the Gallup poll, let's, let's go back to that.
- 3:49Three years ago, in another poll, 9%, a mere 9% of Americans said they have a great deal
- 3:56of confidence that journalists act in the best interest of the people.
- 4:02Listen to that only 9% of Americans said they have a great deal of confidence that journalists
- 4:09have the people's interest in mind, act in the best interest.
- 4:11Now, let's go to, let's talk about some of that.
- 4:16I'm going to pull up some stats here.
- 4:19Actually, let me go back to the principles of journalism.
- 4:21Then we're going to talk about some stats and worldview issues.
- 4:24This program is called World View Matters.
- 4:27So we're going to talk about how and why the left has such a tweaked and warped worldview
- 4:33when it comes to moral issues, social issues, political issues.
- 4:37First of all, the principles of journalism, remember only 9% of people say that the media
- 4:44or the journalists have their best interest at heart.
- 4:48One of the first principles of journalism is their first obligation is to tell the truth.
- 4:54Number two, I'm just going through some basic old-time, old-school principles of journalism.
- 5:00Its first loyalty is to citizens, the people.
- 5:04And now today, it's interesting that only 9% of Americans think that journalists abide
- 5:09by that.
- 5:10They're not loyal to the people.
- 5:12In other words, they're loyal to their own beliefs, their worldview, their boss.
- 5:17You know, they've got to answer to their boss so they've got marching orders.
- 5:21And by the way, good point, sometimes local news, I shouldn't say sometimes, most of the
- 5:27time, they've got to take their marching orders from the three major networks or the Uber
- 5:33Liberal Associated Press.
- 5:36Be careful where you get your information.
- 5:39Be careful who you're listening to, friends.
- 5:41I can't caution you enough.
- 5:43Back to the principles of journalism.
- 5:45Its essence is a discipline of verification.
- 5:48Oh, my goodness.
- 5:50How many times have you heard a newscast go out and report something and then they had
- 5:56to backtrack maybe the next day or maybe even that night saying, well, we kind of jumped
- 6:00the gun a little bit, they didn't verify.
- 6:03Here's the way they use that against Trump against Christians against conservatives.
- 6:10This is how they use it.
- 6:11They put out the negative headline.
- 6:14They don't care if it's true or not necessarily.
- 6:16So in other words, they don't verify if it's a negative story, they're going to put it
- 6:20out there.
- 6:21Yeah.
- 6:22Yeah.
- 6:23Yeah.
- 6:24That Trump bad orange man bad, but then they'll find out, ooh, that wasn't that wasn't true.
- 6:27That wasn't accurate.
- 6:28We didn't verify it, but they put it out there.
- 6:31So for half the day, for 12 hours or for 24 hours, in some cases, days or weeks, they're
- 6:40believing something that isn't true, that my friends is on purpose, right?
- 6:46So another principle of journalism, its practitioners must maintain an independence
- 6:54from those they cover.
- 6:57Who can forget during the Obama administration, the Obama Biden years when Obama was president,
- 7:05they would have White House parties and they would have the press come in and my goodness,
- 7:09they were like lap dogs.
- 7:12They were not the watch dogs that journalists, the media is supposed to be lap dogs and they
- 7:19would entertain them.
- 7:20Hey, come on in.
- 7:21Come on out of the White House.
- 7:22We're having a party tonight.
- 7:23How do you think the reporting would be the rest of that week, right?
- 7:26They just went to a White House party.
- 7:29So next in journalism, it must serve as an independent monitor of power.
- 7:34Oh my goodness.
- 7:35Now we're talking about holding government accountable.
- 7:37Now we're talking about holding those in power accountable, monitoring power.
- 7:43Is that being done today?
- 7:44And I think I don't even need to answer that for you.
- 7:48You know the answer to that.
- 7:49I'll give you an example.
- 7:51Well, just let me just let me put this out there.
- 7:55I've been saying this for at least a decade that liberal Democrats, powerful or elite
- 8:01Democrats are above the law.
- 8:04Why do I say that?
- 8:06Hunter Biden, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, go on down the list, there's so much that could
- 8:15be said about some of these cases, but they are definitely above the law.
- 8:20They're not treated like a Republican in the same situation or a Christian or a conservative,
- 8:26right?
- 8:27Imagine, imagine if Donald Trump Jr. was found with Hunter's laptop, only it was Donald
- 8:33Trump Jr.'s laptop.
- 8:36Imagine the firestorm in the media and that my friend is not journalism.
- 8:40That's not fair.
- 8:41It's not, it's just not good.
- 8:44They're so one side, it's so biased, but that's where we are.
- 8:47That's why I want to report on some of this today also back to the principles of journalism.
- 8:53It must provide a forum for public criticism and compromise.
- 8:57It must keep the news comprehensive and proportional.
- 9:01So let's go on.
- 9:05This was, I'm getting this information from surveys that were done about a couple decades
- 9:12ago, right?
- 9:13Actually, it was the late 80s.
- 9:15Go back that far.
- 9:1680s, early 90s, these were surveys of journalists of people that were on the major networks, people
- 9:21that were reporting the news to America, right?
- 9:25Let's talk world view and you'll understand why they support what they support and you'll
- 9:30understand how sometimes they are very critical of Christians, conservatives, independents,
- 9:35Republicans, patriotic Americans, but they are very supportive and they actually give
- 9:41blanket cover, they cover for the left, someone who's liberal, progressive, Marxist and sometimes
- 9:49even anti-American.
- 9:50Let's go back to one issue.
- 9:53Here's how media elites think, abortion.
- 9:58Nearly all of the elite media in the late 1980s, early 1990s, agreed that it is a women's
- 10:07right, women's right to decide whether or not to have an abortion.
- 10:12It's a woman's right to choose, right?
- 10:13That's one of the talking points.
- 10:15It's their right to choose reproductive freedom, right?
- 10:18Reproductive, how they get that, how they work that in there.
- 10:21To reproduce, you've got to have babies, but they're eliminating life, cutting off life
- 10:25in the womb.
- 10:2697% of those in the media and journalists at that time were pro-abortion.
- 10:35It's pretty much the same today.
- 10:37I don't know.
- 10:38I don't think it's 100%, but this is just to give you an idea of worldview.
- 10:43Next, what about the issue of same-sex marriage or homosexuality?
- 10:47We're going back almost 40 years, okay?
- 10:53Almost 40 years.
- 10:5573% of journalists in the media agreed that homosexuality is as acceptable a lifestyle as heterosexuality.
- 11:05This was almost 40 years ago, and this was a survey of the media.
- 11:10Next, let's talk about church attendance, okay?
- 11:1657% of the media said at that time, they attend church a couple times a year.
- 11:237% of those in the media, journalists attend church regularly.
- 11:31Next, what about prayer?
- 11:3333% of journalists supported prayer in public schools.
- 11:39What's interesting about that is who could forget what happened in their early 1960s when
- 11:43there was such a benign, voluntary prayer in the classroom asking God to bless the teachers,
- 11:51the country, and the school, and they took it out.
- 11:55Did he mention Jesus or anything, but they took that out prayer.
- 12:00At that time, now we're talking about four decades ago, 74% of the general public supported prayer at that time.
- 12:08But yet, only 33% of journalists.
- 12:11So that tells you right there, even almost 40 years ago, how out of touch journalists were with the actual people that they report the news to.
- 12:22Let's see, finally, what about adultery?
- 12:25Only 15% 10 plus 5, 15% of journalists thought adultery was wrong.
- 12:32Okay.
- 12:33All right.
- 12:34As if you get to one of the 10 commandments, but then they take the 10 commandments out of, okay, we got it.
- 12:38You'll see how we got there.
- 12:40Now, at that time, 40 years ago, just 6% of journalists would admit to being Republican.
- 12:49So now, and that brings us up to where we are today, where the major story was brand new survey, only 3.4% of journalists today are Republican.
- 13:04The survey also indicated a steep decline in the number of journalists over the last several decades.
- 13:10Because Christians, conservatives, Republicans, it's hard to be in that business.
- 13:14Because you've got to answer oftentimes to a leftist, progressive, Marxist, or at least someone who is a different world view than you.
- 13:21And that's going to be your boss.
- 13:22So it's hard to work in that environment and do your job.
- 13:25What's the job of the journalist?
- 13:27Well, we just talked about some of the principles of journalism.
- 13:29So we've got to take a quick break and shout out to our friends at Harbinger's Daily.
- 13:33We'll be right back on World View Matters.
- 13:35Today's show is brought to you by Harbinger's Daily.
- 13:38The world news biblically understood.
- 13:41Stay informed at Harbinger's Daily.com.
- 13:45So this study was first conducted in 1971.
- 13:57The one I'm going to talk about here.
- 13:59Then it was repeated about every 10 years.
- 14:01And the first survey in 1971, right?
- 14:05Some of you know how long ago that was, said it found that 25% of journalists were Republican.
- 14:15Okay, a quarter in 1971, only 25%.
- 14:21Let's see, 1982, about 11 years later, it plunged to 18.8%.
- 14:3010 years after that, it went down to 16%.
- 14:342002, the number of Republican journalists was still around 18%, but by 2013, 11 years ago,
- 14:44the number took a nose dive down to 7%.
- 14:50And now here we are sitting at 3.4.
- 14:53I don't know how they get the 3.4.
- 14:55Let's just say 3%.
- 14:57You know, 3% of journalists are Republicans.
- 14:59So that gives you an idea.
- 15:01Again, even when you watch your local news, friends, do you know, trust, what do they call it?
- 15:09Trust, but verify.
- 15:11Be careful who you get your news from.
- 15:14Gallup has found the Gallup polls.
- 15:17Roughly 30% of Americans consider themselves Republican.
- 15:21The same number identifies Democrats.
- 15:24And about 40% say they're independent.
- 15:28Okay.
- 15:29So if you've got a majority of journalists that are leftist, that are Democrat,
- 15:35they can't possibly be reporting for all the people.
- 15:38That's one of the points I just want to make here.
- 15:40So journalism is supposed to be unbiased.
- 15:44But of course, we can't live in that bubble world.
- 15:47We can't think that that is actually true.
- 15:49So in October, this several months ago,
- 15:55it was reported that between the years 2015 and 2022,
- 16:00nine staff members at Christianity Today magazine,
- 16:06made 73 political donations to Democrats.
- 16:11All these donations went to Democrats.
- 16:13That's not surprising if you're talking about a magazine publication.
- 16:17But did you, did you hear?
- 16:19I said Christianity Today.
- 16:22Nine staff members, right?
- 16:2573 donations all went to Democrats.
- 16:28That my friend is a magazine, Christianity Today, founded by Billy Graham.
- 16:35In 1956, it's been sadly moving in a leftward direction for a number of years.
- 16:41No surprise.
- 16:42But the fact that their staff today are progressive, are leftist, are Democrats.
- 16:49You know, here's what they're supporting.
- 16:51Think about this.
- 16:53The magazine has Christianity in the name.
- 16:56And some, the staff members or some of the staff members are supporting pro abortion,
- 17:02pro sexual perversion candidates.
- 17:07And I don't know, I guess it shouldn't surprise us anymore.
- 17:11But they've lost their foundation, right?
- 17:15That's just one of the many, many more examples we could list.
- 17:19One more thing, I quoted at the end of the article.
- 17:22And this is on the 3.4% of journalists Republican.
- 17:25It says a lack of Republican and presumably conservative journalists
- 17:31certainly plays a part in an atmosphere of distrust.
- 17:35And when you have an institution that has no room for an alternate worldview,
- 17:40it is a recipe for one-sided bias.
- 17:45It's a recipe for one-sided bias.
- 17:49And that's what we have today, friends.
- 17:50Let me give you another example.
- 17:52Brand new hot off the press.
- 17:53These are just recent articles from in the last several days.
- 17:58Over at Town Hall, the feds worked with banks
- 18:03to flag purchases of Bibles and, quote, extremist texts.
- 18:12And another headline, same article, same content.
- 18:16That was Town Hall.
- 18:17This one is over at the Gateway Pundit.
- 18:19It says, Godless Biden regime flagged Americans who shopped at Dicks, Cabellas,
- 18:26or who bought Christian Bibles.
- 18:30So what is the government doing?
- 18:32This natural logical question.
- 18:35What is their interest in this?
- 18:37What is the government doing flagging Americans or working with banks
- 18:42to figure out who's buying Bibles?
- 18:46Interesting.
- 18:47That's something right out of the third Reich.
- 18:49That's something right out of Hitler's Germany.
- 18:53So let's talk a little bit about this article.
- 18:56This is according to House subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government.
- 19:02It falls under the jurisdiction of the House Judiciary Committee.
- 19:06Federal law enforcement agencies partnered with a number of financial institutions
- 19:11to flag transactions with the terms mega, Trump, and a lot more.
- 19:20They also mentioned the transactions at stores like Cabellas, Vass, pro shops.
- 19:25I'm sure when it comes to buying guns, other purchases like religious texts like Bibles were flagged.
- 19:34Why?
- 19:35Under the guise of, quote, preventing extremism.
- 19:41Think about January 6th.
- 19:43Think about how they framed the quote insurrection, right?
- 19:48This is what they're doing.
- 19:50You've heard the term Christian nationalism used in a derogatory way.
- 19:55It's hard to even define what that is.
- 19:57Because I'm, I consider myself a patriotic American.
- 20:00I'm a Christian first.
- 20:02I'm a believer and follower of Jesus Christ.
- 20:04And hopefully my worldview would support that.
- 20:08How I see the world and how I live.
- 20:11My actions hopefully would support that worldview.
- 20:14So yeah, I'm proud of this country and how it was founded.
- 20:17And the freedoms we have here are founding documents and more.
- 20:20But patriotism now somehow is a dirty word.
- 20:24So Christian nationalists, right?
- 20:26We are evil people that we are extremists according to our own government.
- 20:32So going on in this article, the committee and select subcommittee have obtained documents indicating that following January 6th, 2021,
- 20:41materials were distributed to banks that, among other things, outline the typologies of various persons of interest.
- 20:50And it goes on.
- 20:51But it talks about, along with violent extremism and mega and people that buy guns, it talks about people that buy bibles.
- 21:03Remember the first article we mentioned how Christian quarterback of the Texans, CJ Stroud just glorified God and mentioned Jesus Christ.
- 21:12And they had to remove that part.
- 21:15Why in this country of all countries on earth?
- 21:19Why is that in our day and age suddenly so offensive?
- 21:24Well, let's move on.
- 21:25Let's talk about some media lies and things that they cover up real quick.
- 21:29We're running out of time.
- 21:30But I just want to go through some of these.
- 21:32The New York Times, I hope some of you were paying attention to the headlines.
- 21:37They claimed back then in October that Israel bombed a Gaza hospital.
- 21:43Now we talked about that.
- 21:45We showed you some of the actual maps and everything and how that all went down.
- 21:49Next, major media outlets say Trump backed the insurrection on January 6th.
- 21:56He warned people to peacefully protest.
- 21:58Anyway, I don't want to be redundant.
- 22:00So let's just move on.
- 22:01I'm going to give you the headlines.
- 22:03Politico tries to sanitize Senate gay sex tape scandal.
- 22:09Why?
- 22:10Because it was a Democrat.
- 22:12Next, CNN misresents, CNN misrepresents Gaza deaths,
- 22:17like in Israeli response to October 7 attacks, MSNBC.
- 22:25One of the hosts there said Trump will execute people if elected.
- 22:33This is how they're painting him and how they've done a pretty good job.
- 22:38Evil, evil, but good.
- 22:40PBS asserts Hunter Biden indictment doesn't implicate Joe Biden.
- 22:45Next, media claim there's no evidence that Biden ever engaged in wrongdoing.
- 22:52A couple more.
- 22:54The view, gosh, the view hosts accused GOP of having planted the cocaine in the White House.
- 23:03The view.
- 23:04Who's going to listen to the view?
- 23:06I hope you don't.
- 23:07I hope you don't watch the view.
- 23:09Next, finally, top outlets report anti-Semitism is not the problem.
- 23:16Anti-Israel protests are peaceful.
- 23:19So anti-Semitism isn't a problem.
- 23:22Finally, we've talked a lot about Claudine Gay, the DEI Empire,
- 23:27over at Harvard University, and man, that's been a big problem there.
- 23:33I'm glad she resigned, still getting a big salary.
- 23:36Anyway, think about what happened at all the Ivy League universities.
- 23:41And if I'll just make a quick point, if Pastor, and I said Pastor John Harvard,
- 23:46who founded Harvard University, and actually the first, for the first 72 years,
- 23:53every president was a pastor or theologian at Harvard, right?
- 23:58Those days are gone.
- 23:59But if Pastor John Harvard could see America's oldest university today,
- 24:04he wouldn't believe it.
- 24:07We're really running out of time.
- 24:09I just want to mention Harvard's original motto in the three-part shield
- 24:15was Truth for Christ in the Church.
- 24:18Harvard has a journalism department, right?
- 24:21So what did they do after less than 150 years, after pastors,
- 24:27where they were teaching theology at Harvard University?
- 24:30In fact, anyway, what did they do?
- 24:33They removed Christ and the church from their shield,
- 24:37which was Christo Veritas at Ecclesia, truth for Christ in the Church.
- 24:43Veritas, Christo at Ecclesia, truth for Christ in the Church.
- 24:47Now, if you look up their motto logo, it just says truth, or Veritas.
- 24:51Veritas, what does Veritas mean?
- 24:53When you've abandoned the truth, Jesus Christ, the biblical worldview,
- 24:58what is who's Veritas, so to speak?
- 25:01Are they teaching?
- 25:02Well, I want to go back to Harvard's 1646 rules and precepts.
- 25:08Ready?
- 25:09Here's what it said.
- 25:11This is the purpose.
- 25:12Remember, 10 out of the first 12 Harvard presidents were ministers.
- 25:15This was what they said in 1646 at Harvard University.
- 25:19Quote, let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed
- 25:24to remember or consider well, the main end of his life and studies is
- 25:31to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life.
- 25:36And it has in parentheses John 17 verse 3.
- 25:39And therefore to lay Christ in the bottom as the only foundation
- 25:45of sound, knowledge, and learning.
- 25:48And seeing the Lord only giveeth wisdom,
- 25:53let everyone seriously set himself by prayer in secret to seek it of him.
- 26:01Harvard University 1646 rules and precepts.
- 26:06So systematic theological instruction was inaugurated in 1721.
- 26:11And man, I'll tell you, they went down, didn't they?
- 26:15Harvard declined.
