- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
- 0:06Speaker 1: where we left off with Bill Clinton and his testimony
- 0:10Speaker 1: to Congress. Jack Emmer. Question. During Ms. Maxwell's interview, she
- 0:18Speaker 1: stated that President Clinton was her friend, not Epstein's friend.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Is that accurate? Clinton. I'd say that it was accurate
- 0:25Speaker 1: to say that I felt closer to her than him. Question.
- 0:28Speaker 1: And for the record, why was that? Answer, because I
- 0:31Speaker 1: had seen her more and because she was a very
- 0:33Speaker 1: good friend with Evelyn Rothschild and his wife Lynn, whom
- 0:37Speaker 1: I knew and was in regular touch with. Question, and
- 0:41Speaker 1: then this part in here too. She characterized your relationship
- 0:45Speaker 1: with her as warmer. Speaker, one of Clinton's lawyers, is
- 0:51Speaker 1: that your question, Emmer? Question, would you agree with that?
- 0:56Speaker 1: His lawyer, Bill Clinton's lawyer, once again, warmer than with
- 0:59Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. Emmer, correct. Bill Clinton, oh yes, but it
- 1:02Speaker 1: was not in any way sexual. Emmer, at this time,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I'd like to direct your attention to day two of
- 1:08Speaker 1: the transcript. And now we're looking at the bottom of
- 1:10Speaker 1: the page, page 12. And this page, 258 and 259. Wait,
- 1:17Speaker 1: pardon me, sorry, I'm not with you. The bottom of
- 1:19Speaker 1: page 12 says 42 to 45. Emmer, of day two.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Clinton's lawyer, oh, oh, sorry, I apologize. question mr president
- 1:28Speaker 1: you've had a chance to review the transcript here blanche
- 1:31Speaker 1: asked maxwell if she has ever visited your home in
- 1:34Speaker 1: chappaqua to which maxwell testifies that she'd been invited to
- 1:38Speaker 1: your house and your home for the record did maxwell
- 1:42Speaker 1: visit your house in chappaqua bill clinton in audible his
- 1:46Speaker 1: lawyer jumps in excuse me counsel the transcript says i
- 1:49Speaker 1: went to the house does it say invited did i
- 1:51Speaker 1: miss that emmer maxwell replies after blanche asked why did
- 1:55Speaker 1: you go to the house Speaker, meaning the lawyer for
- 1:58Speaker 1: Bill Clinton. Got it, sorry, you're right. Maxwell says I
- 2:02Speaker 1: was invited. Emmer, I will repeat the question again. Did Ms.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Maxwell ever visit your home in Chappaqua? Bill Clinton, I
- 2:10Speaker 1: don't recall, but it's quite possible she did. Hillary was
- 2:13Speaker 1: a senator. In the beginning, she had a lot of
- 2:15Speaker 1: events there, and we knew her. Question, during the same exchange, Ms.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Maxwell implies that she may have been just driving past
- 2:23Speaker 1: Chappaqua and stopped in to see if you were home.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Did this ever occur? Bill Clinton, not that I remember,
- 2:29Speaker 1: but I may not have been home. Question, but Mr. President,
- 2:33Speaker 1: is it common for people to just stop by your house? Answer, no.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I mean, more than one or two people who would
- 2:40Speaker 1: do that. Emmer, so for the record, you're a former president.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Does your security detail allow people to show up unannounced?
- 2:47Speaker 1: His lawyer jumps in again. Well, they allow them to,
- 2:50Speaker 1: but your question is whether or not the security allows
- 2:53Speaker 1: them in. Clinton, yeah, they have to be cleared to
- 2:56Speaker 1: be able to come and go. Emmer, thank you. Thank you, Mr. President.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I want to ask you about Doug Band. This is
- 3:03Speaker 1: a new speaker now. Bill Clinton, okay. Question. What was
- 3:08Speaker 1: Doug Band's relationship with you, sir? Answer. Well, it changed
- 3:12Speaker 1: over time. But he was basically the last one in
- 3:15Speaker 1: a long line of young men. They were my sort
- 3:17Speaker 1: of body people. They were close to me and supposed
- 3:20Speaker 1: to get me where I was trying to go on
- 3:21Speaker 1: time and all of that. And then after, he and
- 3:24Speaker 1: another young man, Justin Cooper, wanted to come with me
- 3:27Speaker 1: When I left the White House. And when you leave
- 3:29Speaker 1: the White House, they give you, you get, I don't know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: a certain allocation for staff. And I think there are
- 3:34Speaker 1: nine positions you can put on federal health insurance. I
- 3:37Speaker 1: think that's right. But anyway, Doug and Justin were two
- 3:40Speaker 1: of them. Question. So you'd say that he's pretty close. Clinton. What? Question.
- 3:47Speaker 1: You were pretty close. Answer. We were close. And Justin
- 3:51Speaker 1: wrote my book with me. And he did all the
- 3:53Speaker 1: clerical work. And Doug was our main fundraiser when we
- 3:56Speaker 1: started off. Question, okay. I'd like to introduce majority exhibit,
- 4:00Speaker 1: I believe it would be 18, which is EFTA, 02332287.
- 4:11Speaker 1: So this is pretty short. This is an email from
- 4:13Speaker 1: Doug Band to GMAX, which is commonly known as Ghislaine Maxwell.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, yep. Question, the email states you're back. Another
- 4:23Speaker 1: way to get in touch with me quicker is on
- 4:24Speaker 1: my BlackBerry. Actually, the president's. but we share it. The
- 4:28Speaker 1: email that's listed there, WJC, is that your email address?
- 4:33Speaker 1: Or was that your email address? Answer, practically no, I
- 4:37Speaker 1: never sent one email on it. Question, but you recognize it? Answer,
- 4:42Speaker 1: I recognize it, and I think Doug thought it would
- 4:44Speaker 1: increase his cash if he had an email with WJC
- 4:48Speaker 1: on it. Question, but he's asking you, is this your email, Mr. President? Clinton, no,
- 4:53Speaker 1: I didn't send emails on it. Question, did you share
- 4:56Speaker 1: a BlackBerry with Mr. Band? Answer, well, he says we did,
- 5:00Speaker 1: but I think I finally got another BlackBerry. Question, but
- 5:03Speaker 1: this was before. Okay, Mr. President, this is back in.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Think of the year, look at the year, so you
- 5:10Speaker 1: make sure you're answering the question. It's 2001. He's asking you,
- 5:14Speaker 1: Clinton's lawyer pops in, was this your BlackBerry or did
- 5:17Speaker 1: you share this BlackBerry with Doug Band? Clinton, well, I've
- 5:21Speaker 1: been out of office in nine months. Question, did you
- 5:23Speaker 1: have a phone, Mr. President? Answer, I don't think I did, anyway,
- 5:26Speaker 1: but the truth is, I don't remember. Bill Clinton, I
- 5:31Speaker 1: just know that I didn't email. Question, okay, so you
- 5:33Speaker 1: did not email. How often do you send emails, or
- 5:36Speaker 1: did you send emails? Clinton, I sent one email to
- 5:40Speaker 1: John Glenn, Senator John Glenn, when he was in space
- 5:43Speaker 1: at age 77, and I sent an email to the
- 5:46Speaker 1: men and women aboard a U.S. ship in the Adriatic
- 5:49Speaker 1: during the Kosovo War. Since then, I'm not sure I've
- 5:54Speaker 1: sent one. Question. Okay. I'd like to introduce majority exhibit
- 5:58Speaker 1: number 19, which ends two, three, three, five, zero, three, zero. Okay.
- 6:05Speaker 1: If you're ready, I'll be happy to read it out loud. Again,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it's from G Max, Glenn Maxwell, Bill Clinton. Yeah, I
- 6:11Speaker 1: read it. Question. Well, it's redacted. Having seen the unredacted files,
- 6:16Speaker 1: we believe that the two is the same email. It says,
- 6:20Speaker 1: sorry to hear about the Bellsburg stuff. It is bad news,
- 6:23Speaker 1: even worse that it may be damaging. You know that
- 6:26Speaker 1: one of my pet fears is that in London, I
- 6:29Speaker 1: am oppressed toxic, so I hope that I never add
- 6:31Speaker 1: to your woes in that department. If I hear anything,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I will of course let you know. I cannot help myself.
- 6:38Speaker 1: There was one juicy little tidbit I did let out.
- 6:41Speaker 1: The one about what a super stud that you are,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and how I have a crush on you, and how
- 6:46Speaker 1: you are hung like a horse. And well, you get
- 6:48Speaker 1: the picture. Hope you don't mind. Are you familiar with
- 6:50Speaker 1: this email? Questioned by Bill Clinton's lawyer, are you saying
- 6:55Speaker 1: at the time it was sent or the preparation for this?
- 6:59Speaker 1: Questioned at the time it was sent, are you familiar
- 7:01Speaker 1: with it? Clinton, no. Okay, well, what can you tell
- 7:05Speaker 1: me about your knowledge of this email? His lawyer jumps
- 7:08Speaker 1: in once again. God, the lawyer is so annoying. So
- 7:11Speaker 1: if his knowledge is only from when he was prepared
- 7:14Speaker 1: for this hearing, that would have been with his counsel.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Is that what you're asking about? Question, let me ask this, Mr. President.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Do you believe that Mr. Ban received this email? Bill Clinton, inaudible.
- 7:28Speaker 1: He says, now I do. Question, okay, so there's more.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Let me get to the next one. Exhibit, which would
- 7:34Speaker 1: be number 20. Clinton, and the answer is that I
- 7:38Speaker 1: didn't know about this. Wait a minute, there's no question
- 7:42Speaker 1: somebody jumps in. At the time, now Cheryl Mills jumps in.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I was just asking you to clarify whether or not
- 7:49Speaker 1: You're asking if he knows about these emails at the
- 7:51Speaker 1: time they were sent, or if you're asking whether or
- 7:54Speaker 1: not he came to learn about them in the course
- 7:56Speaker 1: of preparation, just so that the distinction in time is clear. Question, okay,
- 8:02Speaker 1: I believe this email is also very short. It's just
- 8:05Speaker 1: at the top. Again, it's from the WJC email. Same one.
- 8:09Speaker 1: And two, it says, this email is silly. I want
- 8:11Speaker 1: to spank bottoms tonight. Bill Clinton, who's it from? Question,
- 8:16Speaker 1: it's from the same email account, the same email. That's
- 8:19Speaker 1: been used before, the WJC email. What was your knowledge
- 8:23Speaker 1: of Mr. Vann's relationship with Ms. Maxwell? Bill Clinton. I
- 8:29Speaker 1: knew he was, basically. He contacted her in the same
- 8:32Speaker 1: way that she represented Epstein on things. I did not know,
- 8:36Speaker 1: nor did I need to know, if they had a
- 8:38Speaker 1: personal relationship for a while. Question. A physical relationship? Mills
- 8:43Speaker 1: jumps in. Are you asking him whether or not they
- 8:45Speaker 1: had a physical relationship? Question. Do you believe they had
- 8:49Speaker 1: a physical relationship? Bill Clinton, I don't know for sure. Question,
- 8:52Speaker 1: and just to be clear, and you said it, but
- 8:55Speaker 1: you did not have a physical relationship with Glenn Maxwell.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, I did not. He gets cut off by
- 9:02Speaker 1: Cheryl Mills. The president answered that question multiple times. Question, yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 1: thank you, okay. And then finally, I want to move
- 9:10Speaker 1: on to another question regarding the visits to the White House.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Are you familiar with Mark Middleton? Clinton, yeah. Question, yeah.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Can you describe who Middleton was? Clinton. He was a
- 9:20Speaker 1: young man from Arkansas who was really ambitious. Wanted to
- 9:23Speaker 1: go to work in Washington. Wanted to have. He knew
- 9:25Speaker 1: Mack McLarty, my chief of staff, who was from Little Rock.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And Bruce Lindsay, who was also from Little Rock. And
- 9:32Speaker 1: he worked with us and then later I think he became,
- 9:34Speaker 1: I don't know, but maybe he became a lobbyist later.
- 9:38Speaker 1: But there was a period of time when he was
- 9:40Speaker 1: in a position to wave people to the White House
- 9:42Speaker 1: because that was one of his jobs. Question. Okay, so
- 9:46Speaker 1: he's been identified by multiple news sources to be the
- 9:49Speaker 1: individual that most of the time was entering or signing
- 9:53Speaker 1: in Jeffrey Epstein at the White House. Clinton. Yeah. Question.
- 9:56Speaker 1: What role did he have specifically at the time? Clinton.
- 10:00Speaker 1: he was working on logistical things in the White House
- 10:02Speaker 1: but there must have been someone else who he told
- 10:05Speaker 1: him to let in maybe Mark had I don't know
- 10:08Speaker 1: if he had the authority to let people in Cheryl
- 10:11Speaker 1: Mills jumps in once again you can only testify to
- 10:14Speaker 1: what you know he's asking who did Mark Middleton work
- 10:17Speaker 1: for in the White House Bill Clinton, I don't have
- 10:19Speaker 1: an answer to that. Question, so knowing that he met
- 10:24Speaker 1: with Mark Middleton or was signed in with Mark Middleton,
- 10:27Speaker 1: do you have any knowledge of the content of the
- 10:29Speaker 1: meeting or the topics of the meetings that Mr. Epstein
- 10:32Speaker 1: would be coming for? Answer, no, I never. Mac never
- 10:36Speaker 1: said anything to me about meeting him. Cheryl Mills, and
- 10:39Speaker 1: by Mac, you mean Mac McLarty, Chief of Staff? Bill Clinton, yeah.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Cheryl Mills, did he work for Mac McLarty? Clinton, well,
- 10:46Speaker 1: he might have been, but at the time... Was this
- 10:49Speaker 1: at the beginning of my presidency or the end? Question,
- 10:52Speaker 1: this would have been, well, this would have been during
- 10:54Speaker 1: the time, during the 90s, at the beginning. Cheryl Mills,
- 10:57Speaker 1: 93 to 95, is what they provided before the period
- 11:01Speaker 1: of time of the visits. Clinton, he was my first
- 11:04Speaker 1: chief of staff. And then, he became a special envoy
- 11:07Speaker 1: to Latin America. Question, and this is Mack McLarty? Clinton, yeah,
- 11:14Speaker 1: Mack McLarty. Question, okay. He gets cut off by Bill Clinton.
- 11:18Speaker 1: It depends on, well, we could tell what he was
- 11:20Speaker 1: doing if we knew when this happened. Question, okay, are
- 11:25Speaker 1: you aware that Mr. Middleton committed suicide? Clinton, I am. Question,
- 11:30Speaker 1: he was found dead at Heifer Ranch, approximately 30 miles
- 11:33Speaker 1: away from his home in Little Rock. He's discovered hanging
- 11:37Speaker 1: from a tree by an extension cord around his neck
- 11:39Speaker 1: with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest. So he
- 11:43Speaker 1: was shot and hung. Do you have any information? That
- 11:46Speaker 1: leads you to suspect that he did something other than
- 11:48Speaker 1: commit suicide? Clinton, no. Question. Do you have any concerns
- 11:54Speaker 1: that this was in relation to his knowledge or relationship
- 11:57Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein? Cheryl Mills jumps in. The president, she
- 12:00Speaker 1: gets cut off of his suicide. She jumps back in.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Has already testified to the fact that he was unaware
- 12:06Speaker 1: that Mr. Epstein was visiting the White House. So are
- 12:09Speaker 1: you asking him then as to what he would have known?
- 12:12Speaker 1: Question I'm asking when you heard about the death. Knowing
- 12:15Speaker 1: about the things that have been at this point, it's
- 12:18Speaker 1: all over the news, seeing that he's committed suicide. Have
- 12:21Speaker 1: you ever had any conversation with people about whether or
- 12:24Speaker 1: not there is a relationship between the two? Bill Clinton, no.
- 12:28Speaker 1: No one's ever suggested it to me. Question, okay, thank you.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I yield back. All right, folks, we're going to wrap
- 12:35Speaker 1: up right here. And in the next episode dealing with
- 12:37Speaker 1: the topic, we're going to pick up where we left off.
- 12:40Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
- 12:42Speaker 1: found in the description box.
