- 10 Players You NEED to DROP in Fantasy Football: Breakups are never easy, and a lot of times we hold on to that dead weight just because we see something that nobody else sees in that person. And really, it's just time to cut ties. From our rosters, from our lives, we just need to say goodbye to those people. Today we're talking about 10 guys that I think it's okay to move on from in fantasy football. Let's get into it. Welcome back to the kitchen here on Fat Daddy Sports. I am Craig, and today we are talking about 10 guys that I think it's all right to move on from in fantasy football. As always, before you go ahead and drop somebody in fantasy football, you should always test the trade market, see what you can get in return. If you can move up a tier, maybe you can pair a two for one deal. You should always start there. Don't just start dropping people willy-nilly, especially some of these guys that have the name value. Always try to see what you can get for value first. But without further ado, this is a guy that I think it is time to move on from and it is Josh Downs in Indianapolis. I know there's a lot of rumors right now going around about the trades and him possibly being a trade candidate. I can't imagine him going to a team and being an immediate impact player right away though. I think his best spot is in Indianapolis. I I really like the talent of Josh Downs. I've been high on him for a couple of years. Had him in Dynasty a few years ago, and I really wanted him to be a solid wide receiver too for my team. But every time I put him in my lineup, he goes out there and gets three, four, five, six points, and you just can't have that. If he is on your redraft team right now, he is dead weight. It is time to move on from Josh Downs. I know that a lot of people would argue to hold and see if he gets traded, but We're talking about two weeks from now being the trade deadline. So you're you're holding him until week ten, week eleven, just to see if he gets traded. I think it's time to move on from Josh Downs personally. The next guy that I want to talk about is another wide receiver, and it is in Minnesota. This is Jordan Addison, wide receiver two for the Vikings. He just doesn't see the targets. He doesn't see the volume. He's obviously got the ability. He's got the speed. He's shown flashes at times of being the guy. But Kyler Murray He stinks right now. He's not really doing a whole lot for this offense. This offense as a whole looks like they're in mud. And really, outside of Jefferson and Hawkinson, there's just not enough to go around. I think if you have Addison, it is time to move on from him. Another wide receiver that I am ready to move on from is Chris Godwin. He just had a golden platter of a game. And he really didn't do anything with it. I think if he didn't do anything then, he's probably not going to do anything going forward. If Abuka is back, Baker, I don't know, he kind of looks like a shell of himself. I think it's time to move on from Chris Godwin. For the Jets, we have Garrett Wilson, and we have also got the emergence of the rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., a guy that they used a first round pick on. This is a guy that they were very, very excited about. He was on IR. He comes back and immediately two 100 yard games. From him, Adonai Mitchell has gone by the wayside. I think Adonai Mitchell is a guy that you're gonna want to move on from in fantasy football. He had that breakout in week two or three, randomly. Garrett Wilson was was down that game. but Omar Cooper Jr. was on IR. So I don't think that the game would have ever happened if Omar Cooper Jr. was active. Clearly goes through Wilson and it goes through Cooper. It's time to move on from Adonai Mitchell. Another guy that has been a disappointment the last couple of years, but is Mark Andrews for Baltimore. I know that Lamar has been out the last few weeks, Tyler Huntley has been in there, but even when Lamar has been in, him and Mark Andrews just aren't what they used to be. I think with the emergence of Zay Flowers kind of looking like a different player. And then Jacoby Lane and Rashad Bateman have put up very nice seasons so far in their limited actions. I just don't think Mark Andrews is the guy that they are looking for consistently to make those big plays anymore like they once were. There's far better options out there at the tight end position. This next one pains me personally because he is on my team. He's a guy that I thought was maybe going to take over as the wide receiver one in real life football for his teams. And that's Xavier Worthy. He flashed a couple weeks ago with Rasheed Rice out, had I think 75 yards, seven catches. And then he backed that up in week eight or week week seven with an absolute dud of a game. You just can't trust him week in and week out. You can't trust this passing offense of the Chiefs. You never know who's gonna get it, if anybody's gonna get it. I know that he had a tough matchup against Seattle, but we've seen this time and time again in his career, and really for the Chiefs offense in general. They have a guy that they go to, and that would be Rasheed Rice. And when he's out, you don't really know. They kind of go by committee. You never know who's going to get it, who's not going to get it. Even when Rice is in there, it's not very consistent. I just want really no part of this passing offense right now. Speaking of passing offenses that have taken a hit, it is the New Orleans Saints. They started out so hot and then Tyler Shuck got banged up. Their offensive line has gotten banged up. And Juwan Johnson's fantasy value has gotten banged up. He has really fallen off a cliff. And I'm I'm looking to move on from him at the tight end position. He is currently ranked as the number 10 tight end, but that just shows how good he was at the beginning of the year. He's really, really fallen off. The last three games are in the single digits. I think there's far better options out there at the tight end position. Speaking of falling off, the running back for the Seahawks, they are getting Zach Charbonnet back. They are about to get Jadarian Price back, and George Helani is about to be a thing of the past. He will definitely be phased out of this offense. He has looked the worst of all of the guys that have gotten the opportunities for the Seahawks. And I don't think there's any chance that he maybe is even on the team here in a few weeks. I think it's time to definitely move on from George Filani. If you are one of the few people still holding on to him, it's time to cut ties. This next guy has been a pretty reliable fantasy wide receiver over the past, I don't know, six years or so. And it's Cortland Sutton. He has, he's put up wide receiver two numbers just last year. He was a very reliable wide receiver two for many, many fantasy football teams. And this year, I don't know what's going on with the Broncos, but they definitely don't even look Cortland Sutton's way. He's not an option for them at all. If you're still holding on to Cortland Sutton, there is definitely way better streaming options out there at the wide receiver position. I would definitely be looking to stash a rookie wide receiver or a rookie running back. rather than keep holding on to Cortland Sutton, who is never gonna do anything for you this season. And the final guy that we are talking about is Darren Waller in Carolina. he wasn't really talked about much in the preseason. Nobody really thought he was gonna do anything. He signs with Carolina Panthers, comes in late, and then he kinda blows up at the start of the season. And then he's been pretty quiet ever since then. last week he had one catch for 50 yards and a touchdown, so he saved his fantasy day, but you can't really bank on that every single weekend. Two weeks ago he didn't have a single catch, and it's just hit or miss for him in this Carolina offense. He's definitely the third passing option there behind Coker and McMillan. I really just I mean, don't think that you drafted Darren Waller. I think that you probably picked him up as a second tight end. It's definitely time to move on from Darren Waller. Well guys, that's all I've got for you today. These are the 10 guys that it is time to move on from in fantasy football, in my opinion.
