- 0:25your nose and slowly and gently breathe out through your mouth.
- 0:35Take another deep breath in and slowly and gently breathe
- 0:42out through your mouth. One last time, deep breath in
- 0:53and slowly and gently breathe out through your mouth, and
- 1:00feel a gentle rhythm of your breath. Feel the steady
- 1:05beat of your heart. Take a moment to listen to
- 1:11your heartbeat. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your
- 1:15chest as it moves in time with your heartbeat. Can
- 1:22you feel it? With each beat of your heart, you
- 1:29feel more and more relaxed. Now, imagine that you are
- 1:39standing in front of two enormous wooden gates, and either
- 1:44side of those gates are massive wooden fences. And behind
- 1:50those fences, all you can see are the tree tops,
- 1:54very very large treetops. Now above the gates, it is
- 2:00a sign that says the National Animal Park. Wow. You
- 2:07wonder just what kind of animals are behind those trees.
- 2:11It's then you hear a loud creaking noise, and very slowly,
- 2:17the great big gates begin to open. As the big
- 2:22gates open wide, standing inside is a big, bright orange
- 2:28orangu tank with great big grin on his face, and
- 2:33he's wearing safari gear, with big black sunglasses perched on
- 2:36the end of his nose and lots and lots of
- 2:41gold danglar jewelry hanging from around his neck. He also
- 2:46has on a very shiny watch and it flashes in
- 2:50the sunlight. He says hello, and he tells you his
- 2:56name is Derek, and Derek gives you a great, big
- 2:59high five that nearly knocks you over. He's that strong.
- 3:04Derek is your guide here and is there for your
- 3:08every need. He even gives you a walkie talkie so
- 3:12that you can contact him if you need to. He says,
- 3:17come along now, we don't want to miss anything, not
- 3:20at all. He leads you to his open roof safari jeep,
- 3:25which looks really kind of cool. He tells you that
- 3:29tonight you will be staying in a big lodge house
- 3:33just beyond the trees, and this is where you're going
- 3:37now to collect any others that may want to come
- 3:39on the safari with you. You ride in the jeep
- 3:44with Derek, and as you reach the end of the trees,
- 3:48you see that the National park opens out across gently
- 3:51rolling plains, and Derek tells you that there are many
- 3:55grassy plains all over the park. There are swamps, and
- 4:01there is even a tropical rainforest too. You think that
- 4:07this place is very beautiful and wonderful. Derek pulls up
- 4:13in front of a very large and amazing lodge, all
- 4:16made out of wood. It's the size of a mansion
- 4:23or even the size of a castle. Standing next to
- 4:29the steps leading up to the lodge are two other
- 4:32children just like you. There is a boy about your
- 4:35age and there is a little girl, but she's a
- 4:38bit older than you. They climb up into the jeep
- 4:42and introduce themselves. The boy is called Michael and the
- 4:47girl is called Jessica. They tell you that they have
- 4:51been looking forward to this day for such a long
- 4:53time now, and they are so happy to be here.
- 5:00Derek the Oranger tank drives off to the ranger's hut
- 5:04to collect any supplies you may need for your adventure ahead.
- 5:08Or this is really exciting now. Who knows what animals
- 5:11you may see. There is a rumor that some of
- 5:15the animals can actually talk. How cool would that be.
- 5:22Derek tells the three of you that this is a
- 5:25very special Safari part. He tells you that none of
- 5:30the animals are dangerous here at all. In fact, they
- 5:35are all very very friendly and you're free to play
- 5:39and stroke with any of them. Well that's if they
- 5:42want to be stroked, that is. As you drive along
- 5:45the grassy plains, you pass by many tribes in colorful dress,
- 5:50all walking along. Some of them are even singing. As
- 5:55they walk along. They smile and wave at you, out
- 6:00to you, wishing you a great day here at the park.
- 6:06Derek tells you that there are many lakes here at
- 6:09the park, and each lake has many different animals and
- 6:12birds there. One of the lakes have large elephants and zebras.
- 6:18There's another lake that while buffalo lives beside with their friends,
- 6:22the wilderbeast. As you drive along in the jeep, you
- 6:27see a giraffe up ahead. He's walking slowly and humming
- 6:32a little songing to himself. He spots the jeep and
- 6:36turns his head to look at you. Good morning, he says, Wow,
- 6:42he is very tall. Have a great day, he says,
- 6:46as he slowly continues along on his walk. You continue
- 6:52on your way with Derek, Michael and Jessica. You are
- 6:58nearing one of the lakes now, and Derek stops the jeep.
- 7:03He says to be very quiet and to look over
- 7:06the other side of the lake. We see a large
- 7:10shape moving around, and Derek tells you that it's Ernie
- 7:15and that he is an endangered black rhino. Ernie, he
- 7:20tells you, is very very shy and pretty much keeps
- 7:24to himself. Just at that moment, Ernie looks up and
- 7:28sees you. He smiles shyly at you, and then disappears
- 7:32behind some trees. Oh oh well, maybe he will speak
- 7:37to you later. There are many different birds flying above
- 7:43and around him. A lot of them are landing at
- 7:46the lake to take a drink of water and maybe
- 7:49have a bath. It's quite hot here at the park
- 7:52and they probably need to cool down to And you
- 7:57can see very colorful parrots in red and loose and greens.
- 8:01You can see chickens with the big orange beaks. You
- 8:06see cockatoos and cows, gray parrots. You can even see
- 8:11some flamingos wading in the water looking for their dinner.
- 8:17In the distance, you see a misst shrouded rainforest. It
- 8:22kind of looks like the steam coming from the trees
- 8:27Derek tells you that that is where you will meet
- 8:30baboons and gorillas. He says they're very friendly too though,
- 8:36and if they like you, they may even invite you
- 8:40to have afternoon tea with them. How that would be nice.
- 8:47Derek tells you that while you're here, you really should
- 8:50meet the king of the jungle, who is, of course,
- 8:54a very large lion called Larry. He tells you that
- 8:58Larry loves telling jokes and if you're not careful, he
- 9:03will have your side split in with laughter. Now, Derek
- 9:08brings his jeep to a stop and you all jump
- 9:10out because now it's time for the three of you
- 9:14to explore this wonderful place and meet as many animals
- 9:18as you can. Derek again make sure that the three
- 9:22of you have got your walky talkies so you can
- 9:24contact him if you need him. He climbs back into
- 9:28his jeep and drives off with all his dangly jewelry
- 9:32glittering in the warm sunshine. So now for a little while,
- 9:39who won't meet the animals, Maybe you can play with them,
- 9:43as it's rumored that elephants really love playing football. And remember,
- 9:49they are all very friendly and most of them can talk,
- 9:53So go and have some fun.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Then the species the thinking good the same, think stuff the.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Ststem.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Now it's time for you to leave this wonderful place
- 13:14with Derek, who has returned with his cheek to take
- 13:18you back to the lodge. After an unforgettable and wonderful day,
- 13:25you head back to the lodge for food and to
- 13:28unwind by a fire on the plane under the star bright,
- 13:32endless night sky. After you've eaten your sumptuous dinner, you
- 13:39begin to feel rather sleepy, so you go outside and
- 13:43sit by the crackling fire. There is a sleeping bag
- 13:48waiting for you with a soft fluffy pillar, because tonight
- 13:53you will be sleeping under the night sky. You climb
- 13:58into your sleeping bag and snuggle down, and the sky
- 14:02is becoming gradually darker. As you lie there, watching the
- 14:08dazzling colors of the sun going down, The beautiful orange
- 14:12and red glow was turning to pink and gray. You
- 14:16watch as the sun begins to set on the horizon
- 14:18and slowly starts to fade. It's very peaceful watching the
- 14:24sky becoming darker. As you gaze up at the sky above,
- 14:31you can see the first stars appear. First, one star
- 14:36then another and another, see them as they sparkle and shine,
- 14:42shining like tiny diamonds in the sky. As you look
- 14:48at the darkening sky, you can see more and more stars,
- 14:53and you think to yourself, what a wonderful day you've had,
- 14:58How lovely, how lovely and wonderful it was to be
- 15:03with the majestic and beautiful beings that they are. You
- 15:07had so much fun and laughter with them. It truly
- 15:11was a great day. The sky is so clear now,
- 15:17there are no clouds anywhere, just a beautiful, starry night sky.
- 15:24And yet more stars have appeared. Some stars are bright
- 15:28and luminous, others are tiny specks that you can barely see.
- 15:35But you feel so peaceful, so calm, so relaxed. You
- 15:42take your breath in and breathe it gently out, so relaxed,
- 15:49very sleepy now, and you give a big sigh of happiness.
- 15:56Your eyes feel ever so heavy, so heavy that they
- 16:01close or by themselves, But that's okay, because you don't
- 16:07want to open them anyway. You just want to sleep,
- 16:14So sleep little one, just sleep.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Less speed things, thinks.
