• 2:59
Speaker 4: one and retaliatory strike ordered by the President of the
• 3:03
Speaker 4: United States of America. It was called Operation Hawkeye. The
• 3:08
Speaker 4: US military launched a large scale air and ground strike
• 3:11
Speaker 4: targeting ISIS fighters, infrastructures, and weapon sites across seventy plus locations.
• 3:19
Speaker 4: The operation was ordered by President Donald Trump in direct
• 3:22
Speaker 4: response to an ambush that killed American personnel signaling firm deterrents.
• 3:29
Speaker 4: The strikes reportedly delivered a significant blow to ISIS remnants
• 3:33
Speaker 4: operational capabilities by hitting logistics, storage depots, command and control points,
• 3:39
Speaker 4: and infrastructure. How did it happen the use of precision
• 3:44
Speaker 4: munitions in a mix of aircraft. F fifteens, A tens
• 3:48
Speaker 4: and F sixteens were used as well as helicopters and
• 3:52
Speaker 4: artillery demonstrated that the US's tactical effectiveness and military coordination
• 3:58
Speaker 4: was unbelievable. I want you to hear how Fox News
• 4:02
Speaker 4: described this breaking news.
• 4:04
Speaker 1: We begin tonight with President Trump's response to last week's
• 4:07
Speaker 1: killing of two American service members and a civilian interpreter
• 4:11
Speaker 1: in Syria. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth calls new air
• 4:14
Speaker 1: strikes tonight in Syria a declaration of vengeance against ISIS terrorists.
• 4:20
Speaker 1: We have Fox Team coverage on the breaking story. Trey
• 4:22
Speaker 1: Yanks is in Tel Aviv with reaction to the strikes,
• 4:25
Speaker 1: and Chief National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin starts us off
• 4:28
Speaker 1: with what we know here in Washington.
• 4:30
Speaker 2: Good even Jennifer, Good evening. Brett, a senior US official,
• 4:33
Speaker 2: tells Fox the US military has struck more than fifty
• 4:36
Speaker 2: ISIS targets in the past two hours, following the President's
• 4:40
Speaker 2: order to quote hit them hard. After the killing of
• 4:43
Speaker 2: three Americans Saturday, two members of the Iowa National Guard
• 4:46
Speaker 2: and their civilian translator by a member of the Syrian
• 4:49
Speaker 2: security forces, US Central Command launched a massive strike on
• 4:54
Speaker 2: dozens of ISIS targets in an operation called Operation Hawkeye
• 4:58
Speaker 2: Strike Iowa, the Hawkeye State. The strikes took place at
• 5:02
Speaker 2: multiple locations across Syria. The targets include ISIS infrastructure and
• 5:07
Speaker 2: weapons storage sites. Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth tweeted quote, this
• 5:11
Speaker 2: is not the beginning of a war. It is a
• 5:14
Speaker 2: declaration of vengeance. The United States of America, under President
• 5:17
Speaker 2: Trump's leadership, will never hesitate and never relent to defend
• 5:21
Speaker 2: our people. Sergeant William Nate Howard twenty nine of Marshalltown
• 5:26
Speaker 2: and Sergeant Edgar Torres Tovar twenty five of Des Moines
• 5:29
Speaker 2: and their civilian interpreter, a ed Mansour Sakat of Michigan
• 5:33
Speaker 2: returned home in a dignified transfer Wednesday at Dover Air
• 5:37
Speaker 2: Force Base in Delaware, where they were met by the President.
• 5:40
Speaker 2: The December thirteenth attack, which took place while a senior
• 5:43
Speaker 2: US military commander was meeting his Syrian counterparts near Palmyra
• 5:48
Speaker 2: in central Syria. Afterwards, Syrian security forces helped carry out
• 5:52
Speaker 2: ten partnered operations across Syria that led to the death,
• 5:56
Speaker 2: were told or detainment of more than two dozen ISIS
• 5:59
Speaker 2: affiliates individuals. The US provided support during those raids. Those
• 6:04
Speaker 2: raids BREAD led to the confiscation of electronics and individual
• 6:08
Speaker 2: interviews that resulted in the intelligence used for this operation
• 6:12
Speaker 2: to locate potential targets. A Sintcom review is ongoing into
• 6:16
Speaker 2: the exact affiliation of the Syrian gunmen who joined the
• 6:19
Speaker 2: security forces just two months before. The gunman was in
• 6:23
Speaker 2: the process BREAD of being removed from the Syrian military
• 6:26
Speaker 2: for suspected Jehattis ties.
• 6:29
Speaker 4: Now, by targeting hundreds of ISIS positions, the retaliation reduced
• 6:34
Speaker 4: the group's ability to regroup or conduct future large scale operations.
• 6:39
Speaker 4: The White House has said leaders called the effort a
• 6:42
Speaker 4: declaration of vengeance. Underlying the attacks on US forces will
• 6:47
Speaker 4: be met with overwhelming force, which can deter future aggressions.
• 6:52
Speaker 4: President Trump publicly worn ISIS and broader terrace networks that
• 6:58
Speaker 4: threats to American would be met with strong and sustained retaliation,
• 7:04
Speaker 4: reinforcing our resolved. The other part about this attack that's
• 7:08
Speaker 4: incredible was the precision engagement. US forces reportedly conducted strikes
• 7:14
Speaker 4: using over one hundred precision munitions, focusing on ISIS logistical
• 7:20
Speaker 4: and command targets rather than broad assaults. Such target actions
• 7:24
Speaker 4: are designed to reduce collateral damage while maximizing impact on
• 7:28
Speaker 4: militant capabilities. This aligns with the broader US military precision doctrine,
• 7:34
Speaker 4: minimizing unintended harm and again reinforcing what the President said,
• 7:40
  Speaker 4: this isn't a declaration of war, it's a declaration of
• 7:43
Speaker 4: vengeance after killing our soldiers.
• 7:46
  Speaker 3: Now.
• 7:46
Speaker 4: The operation integrated air assets, helicopter, gunships, rocket artillery, and
• 7:53
Speaker 4: support from coalition aircraft. Jordanian jets were involved, as well
• 7:58
Speaker 4: a demonstration of a multi national cooperation specifically against ISIS
• 8:04
Speaker 4: terras now. These strikes also were meant to send a
• 8:08
Speaker 4: very clear message to other terrorist organizations around the world
• 8:13
Speaker 4: that the US will protect its troops, as the White
• 8:16
Speaker 4: House described it, and civilians overseas, reducing likelihood terrorists can
• 8:22
Speaker 4: act with impunity. By targeting infrastructure, weapons storage sites, and
• 8:27
Speaker 4: launch points, the campaign actively reduces the ability of ISIS
• 8:32
Speaker 4: to plan, to coordinate, and to execute attacks in this
• 8:36
Speaker 4: part of the world. In the region, the campaign reportedly
• 8:40
Speaker 4: occurred alongside ongoing cooperation with Syrian authorities who are aligned
• 8:45
Speaker 4: with US goals against ISIS, adding diplomatic and local enforcement
• 8:50
Speaker 4: support to military actions. Now beyond Syria, US strikes ordered
• 8:55
Speaker 4: by President Trump earlier in twenty twenty five targeted ISIS
• 8:59
Speaker 4: positions in some mid including air strikes that killed dozens
• 9:03
Speaker 4: of fighters and eliminated key operational commanders, degrading the group's
• 9:08
Speaker 4: leadership and recruitment capabilities, specifically in Somalia. These actions are
• 9:15
Speaker 4: part of a continuous campaign, the White House says, to
• 9:19
Speaker 4: prevent the resurgence of IIS, even after its territorial leaders
• 9:23
Speaker 4: were defeated, showing long term commitment to global stability, and
• 9:28
Speaker 4: this goes back to what the President promised. Strong deterrens
• 9:33
Speaker 4: show that the US has a commitment to retaliate decisively
• 9:37
Speaker 4: against any terrorist threat. The White House also said, this
• 9:41
Speaker 4: proves that we are degrading the enemy's capabilities strikes that
• 9:46
Speaker 4: disrupt ICE's infrastructure and limit the ability to well get
• 9:50
Speaker 4: back together, to organize, and to attack. The White House
• 9:55
Speaker 4: also said this precision and professionalism shown by the US
• 9:59
Speaker 4: governm should also be a deterrent because the use of
• 10:03
Speaker 4: advanced technology, advanced tactics, and coordination minimize risk to civilians
• 10:09
Speaker 4: and they also maximize the impact of killing actual terrorists
• 10:13
Speaker 4: and then the coalition cooperation which is so important. Marco Rubio,
• 10:18
Speaker 4: the Secretary of State and others working around the clock
• 10:21
Speaker 4: to make sure they had partner nations that we're willing
• 10:24
Speaker 4: to work together on this. It strengthens our security efforts
• 10:28
Speaker 4: as well in the Middle East. And finally, it is
• 10:32
Speaker 4: about protecting our US forces. When you kill a man
• 10:37
Speaker 4: or a woman in uniform under Donald Trump's watch, We're
• 10:40
Speaker 4: gonna find you, We're gonna hunt you down, and we're
• 10:43
Speaker 4: gonna kill you. It reinforces the Trump doctrine the US
• 10:47
Speaker 4: personnel abroad will be defended by whatever means are necessary
• 10:53
Speaker 4: by the commander in chief. At the end of the day,
• 10:56
Speaker 4: it's very clear that the President of United States of
• 10:58
Speaker 4: America meant what he said when he said it is
• 11:01
Speaker 4: going to be a major response, and it will be
• 11:05
Speaker 4: one that they will know not to mess with us again.
• 11:08
Speaker 4: And that's exactly what the present's objective was. Quick Break
