- 1:10around us. God, you are for us and not
- 1:14against us. We are more than conquerors in
- 1:17Christ Jesus. We have the indwelling of the
- 1:21Holy Spirit. We are marked by you, Lord, Let
- 1:27us walk in the bridal identity today.
- 1:32Holy Spirit, teach us and guide us and show us.
- 1:37Illuminate the text today. Let it jump off the page today.
- 1:43Let it become alive and active today.
- 1:47Jesus, you're the only one worth living for, and we love you.
- 1:50And it's in your name that we pray.
- 1:52Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 1:58And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 On the first day of
- 2:04the first month shall you set up the Tabernacle of the tent of
- 2:08the congregation? 3 And you shall put therein the
- 2:12ark of the testimony, and a cover the ark with the veil. 4
- 2:19And you shall bring in the table, and set in order the
- 2:22things that are to be set in order upon it.
- 2:25And you shall bring in the Candlestick, and light the lamps
- 2:29of him. And you shall set the altar of
- 2:31gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put
- 2:35the hanging of the door of the Tabernacle. 6 And you shall set
- 2:39the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the
- 2:42Tabernacle of the tent of the congregation. 7 And you shall
- 2:47set the lava between the tent and the congregation, and the
- 2:50altar, and shall put water in it. 8 And you shall set up the
- 2:55court round and about, and hang up the hanging at the court
- 2:59gate. 9 And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the
- 3:03Tabernacle, and all that is in it, and shall hallow it, and all
- 3:08the vessels of it, and it shall be holy.
- 3:11Can you see it, friends? Can you see all the materials
- 3:15have been built, and they're laying there?
- 3:19And God goes and tells Moses exactly when he was to do it,
- 3:25and how he was to do it, and set it up so that it would mirror
- 3:30what was happening in heaven. 11 And you shall anoint the lava in
- 3:39his foot, and sanctify it. 10 And you shall anoint the altar
- 3:44of the point of the burnt offerings in his vessels, and
- 3:47sanctify the altar, and it shall be an altar most holy. 11 And
- 3:52you shall anoint the lover of his foot and sanctify it. 12 And
- 3:56you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the
- 3:58Tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
- 4:03So here Aaron and his sons are to go to the door of the
- 4:06Tabernacle, and Moses was going to wash them clean and purify
- 4:11them. And this was a ceremony that was
- 4:15meant to set them apart. 13 And you shall put upon Aaron the
- 4:20holy garments, and anoint him, sanctify him, that he may
- 4:25minister unto me in the priest's office.
- 4:27So here Aaron is, he doesn't put on his own garments.
- 4:30Moses puts them on for him. And we don't put on our own
- 4:34garments, but Jesus clothes us with his righteousness. 14 And
- 4:39you shall bring his sons, and clothe them with coats. 15 And
- 4:43you shall anoint them as you did anoint their father, that they
- 4:47may minister unto me in the priest's office.
- 4:50For their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood
- 4:53throughout their generation. 16 Thus did Moses, according to all
- 4:57the Lord commanded him. So he did.
- 5:00One of the greatest verses is when we see somebody do exactly
- 5:05what God tells them to do, and they don't try to do it their
- 5:08own way. 17 And it came to pass in the first month, in the
- 5:12second year, on the first day of the month, that the Tabernacle
- 5:16was reared up. So this marked the one year
- 5:19anniversary of them being LED out of slavery and captivity in
- 5:25bondage. Friends, this was exactly 1 year
- 5:30later. 18 And Moses reared up the Tabernacle, and fastened his
- 5:35sockets and the boards of it, and put the bars of it, and
- 5:39reared up the pillars. 19 And he spread abroad the tent of the
- 5:43Tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it, as
- 5:47the Lord commanded Moses. 20 And he took and put the testimony
- 5:51into the ark, and set the Staffs on the ark, and put the mercy
- 5:55seat above upon the ark. 21 And he brought the ark into the
- 5:59Tabernacle, and set up the veil of the covering, and covered the
- 6:03ark of the testimony, as the Lord commanded Moses. 22 And he
- 6:07put the table in the tent of the congregation upon the side of
- 6:11the Tabernacle northward, outside the veil.
- 6:15And he set the bread, and ordered upon it before the Lord,
- 6:18as the Lord had commanded Moses. 24 And he put the Candlestick in
- 6:22the tent of the congregation over and against the table on
- 6:26the side of the Tabernacle southward. 25 And he lit the
- 6:30lamps before the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses, and he put
- 6:34the golden altar and the tent of the congregation before the
- 6:38veil. 27 And he burnt sweet incense on it, as the Lord had
- 6:44commanded Moses. 28 And he set up the hanging of the door of
- 6:48the Tabernacle. 29 And he put the altar of burnt offering by
- 6:51the door of the Tabernacle of the tent of the congregation,
- 6:55and offered up upon it the burnt offering and the meat offering,
- 6:59as the Lord commanded Moses. 30 And he set the lava between the
- 7:03tent of the congregation of the altar, and put water there to
- 7:06wash with all. 31 And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their
- 7:11hands and their feet there at 32 when they went into the tent of
- 7:16the congregation, and when they came near to the altar, they
- 7:19washed as the Lord commanded Moses.
- 7:22They got to get all of the world off of them, friends.
- 7:25They got to get purified and cleansed before they stand
- 7:28before a holy God. And you and I must do the same.
- 7:31We cannot come to God dirty and stained.
- 7:34We come to God washed in the blood of the Lamb of Jesus
- 7:38Christ, in the water that poured out of His side.
- 7:41Friends, far be it from us to offer strange fire unto God,
- 7:46intermingle the world in with the holy things. 33 And he
- 7:52reared up the court round and about the Tabernacle of the
- 7:55altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate.
- 7:58So Moses finished the work. It is finished.
- 8:01They finally got it. Friends 34 Then a cloud covered
- 8:06the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled
- 8:13the Tabernacle. This is the Shekinah glory of
- 8:19God. We see it again later whenever
- 8:23Solomon dedicates the temple. We see this, and I pray that
- 8:29you've experienced it. Friends, this is not a feeling
- 8:33or an emotion. This is the reality of what God
- 8:35desires to do for you and for me and for us as a church.
- 8:42He wants to so overwhelm you with His presence that you're
- 8:45not even able to minister or speak.
- 8:50This is where we know that we know that we know that we know
- 8:53that we know that we know that God is real.
- 8:57When He is pleased to pour out His Spirit upon mankind.
- 9:01You'll never be the same again. There's no going back.
- 9:09And far be it from us to try to manufacture this moment.
- 9:15It does not work that way. All we can do is set the stage,
- 9:21but God is the one who has to choose to come. 35 And Moses was
- 9:29not able to enter to the tent of the congregation because the
- 9:33cloud abode there, and the glory of the Lord filled the
- 9:37Tabernacle. It's all-encompassing.
- 9:43It overrides all your senses. You can't even speak. 36 And
- 9:49when the cloud was taken up from over the Tabernacle, the
- 9:52children of Israel went onward in all their journeys. 37 But if
- 9:57the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the
- 10:01day that it was taken up. 38 will end here.
- 10:05For the cloud of the Lord was upon the Tabernacle by day, and
- 10:10fire was on it by night, and the sight of all the House of Israel
- 10:14throughout all their journey. Can you see it, friends?
- 10:17Do you see this whole scene getting played out?
- 10:20Can you see the Shekinah glory of God resting upon that place?
- 10:26And He wants to do the same for you, Friends, it takes the
- 10:32consecrating of the temple for Him to come.
- 10:37You cannot have it both ways. You cannot have the world and
- 10:43mix God in. You must choose.
- 10:45You must choose today whom you will serve.
- 10:50Far be it from us to be lukewarm and vomited out of His mouth.
- 10:55Choose to be either ice cold or hot.
- 11:06Too many people have watered down the gospel.
- 11:09Too many people are trying to have this world and mix God in
- 11:14and He will not come until you finally learn what consecration
- 11:20really means. Get rid of all of the evil in
- 11:24your life, all the thoughts, all the material, every single thing
- 11:31that drags you away. I pray that conviction rises in
- 11:35your life. I pray that you actually have a
- 11:39correct interpretation of Scripture.
- 11:43I pray that we're not playing games with God and we desire for
- 11:49the manifest presence of God to come and to wreck us, to ravage
- 11:53us, to overwhelm us with His presence and fuel us for what is
- 12:00to come. Hope you've been blessed by this
- 12:03amazing chapter in God's Word. I've had a lot of fun going
- 12:08through the book of Exodus. I pray that you have start
- 12:13Leviticus tomorrow. I'm praying for you.
- 12:16I love you. We'll see you back here
- 12:17tomorrow. God bless you.
