  We're close to summer and we are already getting summer weather out here. It

  rain this weekend. Are very little maybe at night when no one's out,

  birthdays that happened this week that I want to mention Dwayne the Rock Johnson,

  he turned fifty two yesterday. Pat McAfee from the WWE and from the NFL

  shows that he hosts and the college shows that he hosts, he turned thirty

  seven. And one of my favorite actresses who played the character of six on

  Blossom, Gena van Oy, she turned forty seven yesterday also, So happy

  birthday to those belated birthday. Obviously, I'm not out on Thursday to wish

  on a happy birthday, but I just wanted to throw those shoutouts there too.

  What a show we got for you. NHL and NBA playoffs are almost
• 2:49
  done with our first rounds. We had ww backlash from France tomorrow morning.

  That's exciting. We're gonna talk about all that. We're also gonna talk about

  the NFL Draft being where that's it. We are set. Free agency is
• 3:04
  I mean still ongoing. I mean you can still sign free agents, but
• 3:07
  the major free agency is done. And then of course we have now the
• 3:13
  NFL Draft over, so we are in the thicket of the NFL season coming
• 3:16
  up. We've got they got the OTAs all that stuff coming up soon,
• 3:21
  rookie mini camps, all that stuff, good stuff, and then of course
• 3:24
  the preseason. We are only months away from the preseason. It starts in
• 3:30
  the middle of August. We're already at the beginning of May, so I
• 3:34
  mean, if you think about it, they report for trading camp in July,
• 3:38
  so I mean, you only got a few months for them to relax.

  And during that few months they're gonna have stuff to do. So we'll
• 3:44
  go over all that and then WNBA, I'm gonna kick it off here.

  They are breaking records with ticket sales, but especially the Chicago Sky, which
• 3:53
  I think everybody thought maybe the Indiana Fever would be that team Chicago Sky is
• 3:59
  actually leading the way right now, and that's because of the two rookie sensations

  that we picked up for Chicago. WNBA season actually starts, I believe this
• 4:10
  week already coming up, so I'll go into that too. We had a
• 4:14
  bunch of entertainment stuff and of course the CD that I listened to it was
• 4:18
  amazing. I'll let you know who it was and who was the one that
• 4:23
  did that. So let's get into the show. Let's talk WNBA first,

  all right, So here's a little bit of fun facts on the WNBA with
• 4:30
  their ticket sales. Sales across the WNBA are up ninety three percent compared to
• 4:35
  this time last year, stub Hub said in its report, setting a growth
• 4:39
  trend that we've seen for the sport across the last few years. Sales for
• 4:43
  the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, which also drafted IOWA standout Kate
• 4:47
  Martin, have increased about one hundred and ninety percent compared to this time last
• 4:51
  year. Sales for the New York Liberty have increased about thirty percent, and
• 4:57
  sales for the Fever, Clark's team have reased more than thirteen times. StubHub
• 5:01
  set the Chicago Sky, which drafted LSU's Angel Reese and South Carolina's Camilla Cardosa,
• 5:08
  has seen its sales triple since last season. Now this is all based
• 5:13
  on stub Hub, So I mean that's crazy. Stub Hub spokes won't person
• 5:17
  Adam Badelli described Clark's impact on the on the report as electrifying, saying it
• 5:24
  sparked an unprecedented fifteen time increase in searches for the Indiana Fever after her WNBA
• 5:31
  draft announcement and as of April thirtieth, nine of the ten best selling games
• 5:36
  this season are away games for the Fever. So I mean that's amazing for
• 5:42
  the sport because everybody says, oh, if you want these women to make
• 5:45
  more money, they have to make more revenue. People got to go to
• 5:47
  the games by the jerseys. Well we're starting to see that. Now.

  We're gonna see if these guys that say that are gonna flip flop and try
• 5:56
  to say something else, because I'm telling you now, there's a lot of
• 5:59
  men out there and I've seen it. Believe me. I go on social
• 6:01
  media every day of my life. I'm on social media, researching stuff for
• 6:05
  my shows, you know, just going on in general, just like everybody
• 6:10
  else does, perusing you know, Facebook and x and TikTok and all that.

  A lot of these men who will fight tooth and nail to say that
• 6:20
  all well, WNBA is not a real pro league or whatever, because it's
• 6:25
  for women, not men. These are the guys who will be the first
• 6:29
  ones to say, well, they're not gonna get raises if they don't make
• 6:32
  more money, which is true to a point, but a lot of these
• 6:36
  men aren't saying it for that reason. A lot of them are saying it
• 6:40
  because they just don't like the fact that women have their own NBA. Can
• 6:44
  you imagine the backlash if the NFL decided to do the WNFL or NHL did
• 6:48
  the WNHL. Men would lose their minds. They've already lost basketball. They
• 6:54
  don't want to lose football in NHL. But I'll tell you now it could
• 6:58
  happen one day because there are women that play hockey in college, so why
• 7:03
  not do a pro league for that? I implore the NHL to look into
• 7:08
  that and see how many women from the college circuit or even women in their
• 7:13
  like upper twenties and early thirties who played hockey either you know, with college
• 7:19
  high school. You know, not a lot of high schools really have hockey,
• 7:24
  but I know some colleges do. But also women who played, like
• 7:28
  maybe on the women's Olympic teams and stuff for things. See how many of
• 7:31
  them would want to play professionally in hockey. And if you got enough,
• 7:39
  make a small little league, start with six to ten teams, just like
• 7:43
  the WNBA did, and I could guarantee people watch. I don't know how
• 7:47
  many metal jump on it right away, but they will eventually watch. Not
• 7:53
  only did I hit this on the head, but I was very right.

  Not only does the WNBA start this week, the preseason starts today. I

  was just looking up the schedule right now to see when they start, and

  it's today today. You got two games, the Fever and the Wings at
• 8:13
  seven pm, and the Sky and the Lynx play at seven pm today.

  So if you're in Indiana, let me let me make sure Indiana, if

  you're wherever the Wings play, I don't know all the teams yet. If
• 8:28
  you're in Chicago where the Sky play, or you're where the Links play,

  I don't even know what is that Minnesota like. It just sounds like a

  Minnesota team for some reason. I don't know why, but it does.

  It sounds like a Minnesota team. They all play today, So that's exciting.

  Not only was I right, but yeah, WNBA preseason starts today and

  then the regular season. Let's look at that, and let's just look at

  the Sky schedule for a second, because that'll tell me when the actual season

  we're gonna start. Okay, so we've got yeah, I'm looking this up

  right now as we speak. Okay, so today is preseason and Tuesday's preseason

  Wednesday, May fifteenth is the start of the regular season for the Sky and
• 9:16
  they take on the Wings. So yeah, the WNBA actually starts in the
• 9:22
  next week for the actual season, or actually, no, that's about two
• 9:26
  weeks because wait, today's the third so maybe like what twelve days, So
• 9:31
  yeah, it's coming. It's pretty crazy too, because I'm looking and they
• 9:35
  play all the way till September fifteenth. I didn't realize that the WNBA schedules
• 9:41
  so long. Now. Have I watched any games? Yes, I have,
• 9:45
  sporadically. I really started getting to the year that they were the eighth
• 9:50
  seed and they ended up winning the WNBA title then really got me hooked.

  That was only a couple of years ago. But seeing a number eight seed
• 10:00
  go all the way to the w NBA Finals and win it, because I
• 10:03
  mean, you've seen that in the NBA. I mean Miami did that.

  What last year they made all the way to the finals and ended up losing
• 10:11
  to Denver when they were the eighth seed. But you know, you see
• 10:15
  that once in a while in sports, a seed that you don't think is
• 10:18
  gonna win, a wild card stuff like that that's not supposed to necessarily win
• 10:22
  it. Do it, so, you know, to see that it was
• 10:24
  cool and I did keep watching, and I did. I watched and I
• 10:28
  got into it, so and now it's even more exciting. It was cool
• 10:31
  seeing Kandas Parker come home to Chicago and win it. It had like a
• 10:35
  Derek Rose feel to it, where like I think if Dereck Rose came back
• 10:41
  to the Bulls, I think that a lot of people would watch because of
• 10:43
  Derek Rose being back and hoping that he gets a ring with his hometown and
• 10:48
  Kandas Parker got to do that. So yeah, that was cool to see.

  But now with these two rookies that they got, especially Angel Reese,
• 10:54
  she's like the biggest out of the two. Well not really, the other
• 10:58
  one is too, but angel Reie is really big here and people are excited.

  And then Kaitlin Clark obviously with Indiana. I don't know if Indiana could
• 11:09
  face off against Chicago in the w NBA finals because I don't really know how
• 11:13
  the seedings go yet. I mean, like I said, I'm just really
• 11:18
  starting to get into it now. And I think it's because my daughter's getting
• 11:22
  older. I like her to see stuff like that to know that she can
• 11:24
  go and she can do other stuff now, so you know, she can
• 11:30
  do things that years ago people didn't necessarily do. So, you know,
• 11:35
  Leah said, I would love to watch more games this year if I'm home
• 11:39
  or if you know whatever, if I'm home or if I can be home
• 11:43
  for it, I'll watch some of the games. I might even watch a
• 11:46
  little tonight if I'm home. I know we're going out for a little bit,
• 11:48
  but maybe I'll tape it and watch it. I don't know if it's
• 11:52
  even gonna be on TV because it's a preseason game, so you know,
• 11:56
  a lot of preseasons not always on the TV. I was right. It

  is the Minnesota Links. I knew that sounded like a Minnesota team, So

  yeah, we'll see what happens. But go WNBA. I hope that they
• 12:09
  start making more revenue so that these women get paid more. It's sad that
• 12:13
  a person working a warehouse job can get paid just as much as a WNBA
• 12:18
  player. They have to train all year for that, you know and stuff.

  But I did hear they do get an apartment in a car, so
• 12:26
  at the same time, it kind of I think kind of like compensates it
• 12:31
  because they don't pay for an apartment or a car, so their salary is
• 12:35
  really just theirs, and they don't pay for their hotels and stuff like that.

  Just like the NBA they pay for their you know, planes and stuff
• 12:43
  and hotels, so they don't have to do that out of pockets. I
• 12:46
  like WWE, where the wrestlers pay out of pocket for their own hotels and
• 12:50
  rent a cars and all that. They take a team bus to the arena,
• 12:54
  so they don't pay for any of that stuff. So the seventy thousand
• 12:56
  that they make a year or whatever it is, that's theirs, you know,
• 13:01
  And they don't, like I said, they don't pay for an apartment,
• 13:03
  they don't pay for a car, they don't pay for travel, they
• 13:05
  don't pay for hotels. So really that might not be horrible money, but
• 13:11
  it could be better, could definitely be better. All right, So let's
• 13:16
  go on and move on to our next topic of the day. Our next

  topic, of course, is going to be the NBA and NHL playoffs.

  Let's kick it off with the NHL, all right. So NHL playoffs,
• 13:28
  we are still in the first round obviously, but almost done right now.
• 13:35
  The Winnipeg lost to Colorado four games to one, so Colorado goes on to
• 13:41
  the second round. Dallas right now in Vegas are three to two in favor
• 13:46
  of the Dallas Stars right there, So that's the number one seed and they're
• 13:50
  about to eliminate them unless they tight and go into a game seven. Then
• 13:56
  Vancouver and Nashville are three to two. Vancouver is leading the series, and
• 14:01
  then Edmonton beat the La Kings four games to one to go on to the
• 14:07
  second round. In the Eastern Conference, we got Florida who won four games
• 14:11
  to one over the Tampa Bay Lightning and they're the number one seed. So
• 14:16
  if you think about it, yeah, the Vegas Golden Knights, no matter
• 14:20
  what seed they are, they come to play and they're number eight and they're
• 14:22
  three to two right now, they're down three to two with a chance to
• 14:26
  tie the series up. So you know, like I said, I mean,
• 14:30
  they don't go to sleep. That's one thing about Vegas. Vegas never
• 14:33
  sleeps, and neither do the Vegas Golden Knights. And then of course Boston
• 14:37
  and Toronto are tied three games a piece right now, so that's going to
• 14:43
  a Game seven. Always exciting in the NHL Game sevens, and the other
• 14:48
  side of the Eastern Conference. The New York Rangers swept Washington four games to
• 14:52
  none to go on to the second round where they'll face the Carolina. So
• 14:56
  the Carolina, I don't even know who they. I'm not big on hockey
• 15:01
  for all the teams. I don't know Carolina, as if the Hurricanes or
• 15:05
  something like that. So Carolina, Hurricanes go on four games to one over
• 15:09
  the New York Islanders. So right now in the second round, it's going
• 15:13
  to be Carolina and the New York Rangers in the second round. That's the
• 15:16
  only second round that's set so far in the NHL, and it looks like
• 15:24
  Game six. Let's see where we're at. Game six of the Stars and
• 15:31
  Golden Knights is today at nine o'clock. If the Golden Knights win, they
• 15:35
  will tie the series up at three apiece. I go to a Game seven
• 15:39
  the Maple Leaves and the Bruins, who are tied at three to three.
• 15:41
  Winner takes all tomorrow night. Vancouver and the Preds play Sunday on Sinko Tomayo
• 15:50
  and Vancouver leads three to two, they can end that series, and then
• 15:54
  of course the Golden Knights will end up playing the Stars in Game seven if

  necessary. If they win tonight, so they'll play on Sunday also, So
• 16:07
  there you go. That's that. And then Round two is already starting on

  Sunday also, and that's the Hurricanes and Rangers. They will play game one
• 16:15
  of their bust of seven in the second round on Sunday also, so the
• 16:19
  second round is already starting. They're moving it along. They could have waited,
• 16:22
  but they're gonna move along and everything, all right, So let's go
• 16:26
  on now to the NBA. Al right. So in the NBA, the

  Celtics, obviously everybody knows, has beaten the number eight seeded Heat four games
• 16:36
  to one to advance to the second round. In the East, the Cavaliers
• 16:41
  and the Magic are three to two right now. Cleveland is ahead of the
• 16:45
  Magic in that series. They're a four and five seed. Game six of
• 16:49
  that series is I believe, tonight at seven Eastern. So check that out.

  Indiana beat the Bucks and knocked the Bucks out. They were the sixth
• 16:57
  seed and they beat the Bucks. So the Bucks have no chance of winning.

  Everybody's like, oh, Giannis, Yeah, well, Giannis is gonna

  be sitting at home with his brother watching the second round. Pacers will be
• 17:11
  playing the new York Knicks, who won last night and won their series four
• 17:15
  games to two. So the Knicks move on to the second round. And
• 17:19
  now in the West the Oklahoma City Thunder. They swept the Pelicans four games
• 17:25
  to none, so they're going on to the second round and they will play
• 17:29
  the winner of the Clippers and Mavericks, who are playing each other tonight in
• 17:33
  Game six. And that series has led three to two by the Mavericks,
• 17:37
  so if the Mavericks win, that series is over. If they lose,
• 17:41
  the Clippers take it to a game seven. Timberwolves swept the Suns four games
• 17:48
  to none and they're moving on to play Denver, who beat the Lakers and
• 17:53
  bounced out Lebron in the first round four to one. So yeah, the
• 17:59
  second round is all most set all the way right now. In the semifinals,

  yeah, that's crazy. Semi finals will be Boston and whoever wins that
• 18:11
  series. Pacers and Knicks, Timberwolves and Nuggets, those are all set,

  and those actually start this weekend. Saturday starts the Timberwolves and Nuggets, Monday

  starts the Pacers and the Knicks, and then May eleventh would be the Celtics
• 18:27
  and whoever wins their series, and then Tuesday will be the thunder and whoever
• 18:33
  wins the series that's waiting to get into there. So we are in the
• 18:37
  thing, and we're going to the second round of the NHL player or the
• 18:38
  NHL at NBA playoffs. By next week, we'll already know who's in the
• 18:42
  second round and who's already up in their series. So we'll definitely talk about

  The NFL Draft is over. Alright, it's official. With the NFL Draft

  being over and free agency already much done. I mean, obviously, like

  I said earlier, you could still pick up some free agents, but the

  major period of free agency is done. Now it's time for voluntary offseason workout
• 19:12
  programs and that's it. This is where players can report voluntarily to work out
• 19:19
  with their teams and do certain drills and you know, nothing major contact or
• 19:25
  anything, obviously, but you know, just get them back into football because
• 19:30
  some of these teams have been out since like January, you know, so
• 19:37
  I mean it's a long time. It's you know, January all the way
• 19:40
  till May. That's you know, five months of not doing any major workouts
• 19:45
  anything like that obviously your playoff teams that went deep into January or Super Bowl
• 19:49
  teams that went into February. It's a little different, but like I said,

  most of your players, most of your teams were already out before the
• 19:57
  seed off season started way before, so you know, this is their time

  to do different things. Teams are allowed to carry out seven on seven,

  nine on seven, and eleven on eleven drills all thirty two. Teams can

  hold one mandatory mini camp, which must take place during one of the final

  two weekends of Phase three, which is what we're in. Teams may also

  run a rookie football development program for seven week weeks, which can begin this

  year Monday, May thirteenth, So that's coming up. So here's what we've

  got. Here's the full schedule for all the teams in the NFL and when

  their workouts are so you can watch in your area. Arizona Cardinals their OTA

  offseason workouts May twentieth through the twenty second, May twenty eighth through the thirtieth,

  and June third through the sixth. Mandatory mini camp. This is mandatory.

  This is for everybody. They all have to show up June eleventh through

  the thirteenth, and then of course rookie Mini camp is going to be May

  ten through the twelfth. Let's see for the Atlanta Falcons their off season workouts

  thirteenth, the thirteenth, and then rookie Mini Camp is the tenth and eleventh

  of May. Carolina Panthers offseason OTAs are gonna be the twentieth, the twenty
