- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied the Bench.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 0:59Speaker 3: All right, welcome back, oh tb Our number two here
- 1:03Speaker 3: live from the Raising Kine Studio. Jake playing a Landra
- 1:08Speaker 3: Cassie here with you on a Friday afternoon. One of
- 1:18Speaker 3: the most underrated players in l s U history got
- 1:21Speaker 3: some dollar dollar bills yesterday. Like, take guess who I'm
- 1:24Speaker 3: talking about. Okay, Landra, I guess I want to talking about
- 1:30Speaker 3: He still currently plays in the National Football League.
- 1:33Speaker 4: An underrated l s U.
- 1:34Speaker 3: One of the all time, might be a Hall of
- 1:38Speaker 3: Famer by the end of his career. Actually should be.
- 1:41Speaker 3: By the numbers. Daniel Hunter, Daniel Hunter, Loanda knows ball.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Let's go, Matthew does. Cassie was sweating.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I guess you. Okay, don't call me, don't call me.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Daniel Hunter and the Texans agree to a one year,
- 2:02Speaker 3: forty million dollar contract extension.
- 2:05Speaker 2: There we go.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Forty so well deserved this. Oh yeah, I mean top
- 2:13Speaker 3: five in the league in sacks yet again. This is
- 2:16Speaker 3: Hunter's second extension with Houston after signing a two year,
- 2:19Speaker 3: forty nine million dollar deal back in March of twenty
- 2:22Speaker 3: twenty four. Whoa I finished with twelve sacks in a
- 2:27Speaker 3: Pro Bowl in twenty twenty four, So the Texans gave
- 2:30Speaker 3: him a one year, thirty five point six million dollar
- 2:33Speaker 3: extension to the back end of that original deal. They
- 2:37Speaker 3: also gave him twelve million dollar raise in twenty twenty five,
- 2:40Speaker 3: bumping his salary to thirty two million, and then now
- 2:44Speaker 3: this year, one year forty million dollars for the nail hunter,
- 2:55Speaker 3: who was third in the NFL with fifteen sacks a
- 2:57Speaker 3: year ago, just continues to be so impressive, continues to
- 3:01Speaker 3: be one of the best in the game. He's an
- 3:03Speaker 3: incredible human being if you've ever had the pleasure of
- 3:07Speaker 3: having a conversation with him. And he's going to end
- 3:10Speaker 3: his career potentially with a gold jacket. Yeah, he has
- 3:13Speaker 3: one hundred thirteen and a half career sacks. He had
- 3:17Speaker 3: like four LSU.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Previous to this year. I mean, I would say the
- 3:23Speaker 5: common fan out there who isn't like fully into the
- 3:28Speaker 5: NFL probably didn't really know the name, just like the
- 3:32Speaker 5: Sander passerby Er fan, Like you don't see any Hunter
- 3:36Speaker 5: jerseys walking around and you're talking about like stats, just
- 3:40Speaker 5: having this sleepy I don't even want to say sleepy,
- 3:43Speaker 5: like this subt a little career that nobody's talking about.
- 3:46Speaker 5: And then you're mentioning him with a gold jacket, which
- 3:49Speaker 5: is pretty incredible, So well deserved. Good for you, and
- 3:53Speaker 5: certainly try to keep that defense together. Get rid of
- 3:56Speaker 5: c J. Stroud, replace that guy. Did he hurts you
- 3:59Speaker 5: at some point?
- 3:59Speaker 3: You hate c J. Stroud?
- 4:02Speaker 4: Those card stuff?
- 4:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it's card. Yeah, that's true. It's an investment, so.
- 4:07Speaker 2: It always circles back to the car.
- 4:10Speaker 3: So Daniel Hunter in his career, this is going back
- 4:12Speaker 3: to twenty fifteen, has seasons of six sacks, twelve and
- 4:16Speaker 3: a half, seven fourteen and a half, fourteen and a half,
- 4:19Speaker 3: only played seven games, still had six sacks ten and
- 4:22Speaker 3: a half, sixteen and a half, twelve and fifteen. He
- 4:27Speaker 3: just had his second most in a season.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Hey look good doing it too, muscles.
- 4:35Speaker 3: That's what we used to look like in our uniform, right.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Well, yeah, for sure, obviously I didn't want to say it.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Thanks for bringing it up, though.
- 4:42Speaker 3: What an incredible career though, I mean, really, one hundred
- 4:45Speaker 3: and fourteen and a half sacks, very well deserved, one
- 4:52Speaker 3: of the best to do it in his position. Houston's
- 4:55Speaker 3: not going anywhere now. They got to get better quarterback
- 4:58Speaker 3: play to your point, But so you can do those
- 5:04Speaker 3: kind of things too, when you've got some money to spend.
- 5:06Speaker 3: That's what kind of brings us back to the Saints.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Like the Texans twenty two million dollars of caf room.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Still, hey, that's enough to go get your little quarterback.
- 5:19Speaker 3: You know who has the most caf room in the
- 5:21Speaker 3: National Football League?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Uh, let me cause uh blind guests here. Seahawks.
- 5:28Speaker 3: No, although they got a lot. Seahawks got fifty eight million. Yeah,
- 5:33Speaker 3: pretty decent. That's John so good at his job. I
- 5:37Speaker 3: don't know John Snyder. I love that man so much.
- 5:40Speaker 3: He was a dude.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He's a great dude.
- 5:43Speaker 5: The most room in the Let's say someone else ran
- 5:47Speaker 5: out the Dolphins playoff team playoff ten Eagles, Chargers, they.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Have the most calf room by over six million dollars.
- 5:59Speaker 3: They've got ninety nine million dollars of cap space. Titans,
- 6:04Speaker 3: your Second Raiders, Jets, Commanders, Seahawks, Bengals, Steelers, Cardinals, Patriots.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Somebody getting overpaid that's not really their mo though.
- 6:15Speaker 2: They they have to spend a certain percentage.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't hold on to all of it. I
- 6:20Speaker 3: believe they did just sign a center from the Commanders,
- 6:22Speaker 3: but that was like three years, thirty million dollars. So
- 6:26Speaker 3: you're a like, Okay, let's let's have this conversation because
- 6:29Speaker 3: I can tell you're done and talking about numbers. You're
- 6:33Speaker 3: the Chargers. You've got ninety nine million dollars to spend. Okay,
- 6:38Speaker 3: you just made the playoffs in a very difficult division
- 6:41Speaker 3: with the Broncos and the Chiefs. All right, I know
- 6:45Speaker 3: this isn't the best free agent class. I had a
- 6:47Speaker 3: GM tell me at the combine. He's like, yeah, you
- 6:49Speaker 3: know those top one hundred lists that you see of
- 6:51Speaker 3: top one hundred free agents. He said they could probably
- 6:54Speaker 3: cut that down to thirty five. Right, He's like it's
- 6:57Speaker 3: not great. I'm like, okay, but still like you can
- 7:00Speaker 3: add pieces.
- 7:01Speaker 2: One hundred free agents list is pretty ridiculous.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Yes, to make like your windows open right now. You
- 7:08Speaker 3: have justin Herbert, You've got hardball like, you've got nice pieces,
- 7:11Speaker 3: you've got a good defense. You got to go spend
- 7:15Speaker 3: that money, like you gotta be smart. But like for
- 7:18Speaker 3: the Chargers, Like, if i'm them, I'm like, all right,
- 7:20Speaker 3: i am going to sign a veteran running back. I'm
- 7:22Speaker 3: not going to a couple of them. I'm not gonna
- 7:24Speaker 3: have what happened to me last year with Nagie Harris.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I'm signing multiple four to six solid offensive or sixteen
- 7:33Speaker 3: probably the way they get there, you know what I'm saying. Like,
- 7:35Speaker 3: I'm like, the guys that I'm signing to be backups
- 7:38Speaker 3: are guys that have starts other places. Yeah, Like I'm
- 7:42Speaker 3: giving them like a two year, four million dollar contract,
- 7:45Speaker 3: four to six of them. Like maybe guy passes Prime,
- 7:48Speaker 3: maybe a guy that's a spot starter, but with the experience,
- 7:52Speaker 3: I'm not having uber drivers out there protecting Justin Herbert anymore.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Like there's a way to spend money in a good way,
- 8:00Speaker 3: not overpay for somebody, create depth and have a good
- 8:05Speaker 3: Like you make the postseason and you got almost one
- 8:07Speaker 3: hundred million dollars under the cap, Like you got to
- 8:11Speaker 3: go spend some of that because these windows don't stay
- 8:13Speaker 3: open very long. They only have they owner, they only
- 8:16Speaker 3: have five million dollars of dead money.
- 8:19Speaker 2: YEP.
- 8:20Speaker 3: To give you a comp the Saints have sixty six
- 8:23Speaker 3: million dollars.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Do you know, can you restructure people let's just say
- 8:28Speaker 5: they let's just say that they can't find ninety nine
- 8:30Speaker 5: million dollars to spend on new people, so you're going
- 8:33Speaker 5: to restructure. Maybe you have you have some guys of
- 8:35Speaker 5: course in your room that you're gonna want to sign
- 8:36Speaker 5: the long term deals that might be coming up on
- 8:38Speaker 5: their last year or whatever it is. We like, could
- 8:43Speaker 5: you restructure, like at justin Herbert to not to change
- 8:48Speaker 5: his pay because I know he's he has recently somewhat
- 8:51Speaker 5: When did he sign his contract extension two years ago? Yeah,
- 8:55Speaker 5: something like that, But like, could you say, all right,
- 8:57Speaker 5: well he's owed fifty million this year, fifty million next year,
- 9:01Speaker 5: fifty million the following year. Could you structure to say,
- 9:04Speaker 5: let's take twenty five of it from next year and
- 9:05Speaker 5: put it towards this year's salary cap?
- 9:07Speaker 2: Do you know? Like if that works that way?
- 9:09Speaker 3: I don't could don't think that everybody anybody's ever been like,
- 9:11Speaker 3: hey we got some extra, we got some extra.
- 9:13Speaker 5: I want to seventy five million cap. It would just
- 9:16Speaker 5: Herbert this year, because then you know how it is.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I think then if you do something like that then
- 9:20Speaker 3: you're like resetting the market again. And then like all
- 9:22Speaker 3: these quarterbacks like Herbert's making seventy five million this year,
- 9:25Speaker 3: he's not.
- 9:25Speaker 5: He's not resetting the market because this annual salary is
- 9:29Speaker 5: just the cap is getting like the cap hits differently.
- 9:32Speaker 5: He's not restructured to seventy five per year. It's just
- 9:34Speaker 5: like when somebody signs for fifty million a year, but
- 9:36Speaker 5: the cap, you know, eight of it gets hit in
- 9:38Speaker 5: twenty twenty nine. It's just like, you know, I don't
- 9:41Speaker 5: know how those gymnastics work. Just saying like this, we've
- 9:44Speaker 5: never really been in this position, this situation.
- 9:46Speaker 3: You just said.
- 9:47Speaker 5: They got almost one hundred million dollars to spend for
- 9:50Speaker 5: a playoff team. Who's offensive line they had players on
- 9:55Speaker 5: their offensive line, they just all got hurt. Yeah, so
- 9:57Speaker 5: it's not like they have like these glaring weakness, like
- 9:59Speaker 5: enough weakness, go spend one hundred million dollars, but they do.
- 10:05Speaker 5: You have to spend what up to ninety five percent
- 10:07Speaker 5: of the salary cap. It's at least ninety it's I
- 10:10Speaker 5: think it's not. I think it's ninety To your point,
- 10:13Speaker 5: either way.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Spend it right, like you got to spend like two
- 10:17Speaker 3: hundred and seventy million per team.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a great problem to have, but problems aren't
- 10:22Speaker 5: problems no matter if they're good or bad.
- 10:23Speaker 2: You gotta they have to be solved.
- 10:26Speaker 3: So that like that makes them a player for Trey
- 10:28Speaker 3: Hendrickson and some of the other top free agents that
- 10:31Speaker 3: are out there. I'm just glad the Saints have some
- 10:36Speaker 3: money as well.
- 10:41Speaker 5: Now what they do with that money, I'm glad they
- 10:42Speaker 5: have money. And Mickey's on a heater.
- 10:46Speaker 3: So when you go to ESPN dot com put out
- 10:49Speaker 3: an article in u Kat Tarrell contributed to this biggest need.
- 10:55Speaker 3: It says for the New Orleans Saints interior offensive line.
- 10:58Speaker 3: It says Saints coach identified the run game as one
- 11:01Speaker 3: of the areas the team needs to improve, and that upgrade,
- 11:04Speaker 3: of course, does begin with your offensive front. So it
- 11:06Speaker 3: is funny, like we always talk about how bad they
- 11:09Speaker 3: are in pass protection, but they weren't great in run
- 11:11Speaker 3: blocking either. So I know it's not sexy, I know
- 11:14Speaker 3: it's not flashy, but you need some real help in
- 11:18Speaker 3: the interior that offensive front. Like Eric McCoy's good, but
- 11:20Speaker 3: he's got to stay healthy. Sees rees not good and
- 11:23Speaker 3: you gave him more money, like you got to and
- 11:25Speaker 3: I hay bagging on the guy, but it is what
- 11:27Speaker 3: it is. Just like if if we didn't play well,
- 11:30Speaker 3: people told us not played well in a long time.
- 11:33Speaker 5: People tell us every day, like we don't do well
- 11:35Speaker 5: at radio, Yeah every day.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Yeah, people tell us we don't do good and a
- 11:39Speaker 3: lot of things, yeah, don't do great.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Maybe Caesar was hurt, maybe had a couple of broken
- 11:45Speaker 2: legs for four years.
- 11:47Speaker 3: You gave him more money, So that's on you. So
- 11:49Speaker 3: you can't do another one of those deals. But again,
- 11:52Speaker 3: it's a place where you've got to upgrade and you've
- 11:54Speaker 3: got to make some tough decisions. Uh, you know, Alonte Taylor,
- 11:59Speaker 3: he might walk, Marshaun Lttimore got traded, Paul Stondebo left
- 12:03Speaker 3: in free agency, Like you've lost some real talent at
- 12:05Speaker 3: that position. But can you bring him back? I don't
- 12:10Speaker 3: know they're gonna bring back Cam Jordan, as we've talked about.
- 12:13Speaker 3: So and it's kat kind of summarizes here, like what
- 12:16Speaker 3: do you expect to happen? And it says re sign
- 12:19Speaker 3: only one of their big four free agents. The Saints
- 12:24Speaker 3: seem set to lose Alonte Taylor Cam Jordan will become
- 12:27Speaker 3: a free agent next week. The league year starts Wednesday.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Mentions that cam Jordan reunion isn't out of the question,
- 12:35Speaker 3: but it's more likely that if you bring back one
- 12:37Speaker 3: of your savvy vets, it's gonna be to Mario Davis
- 12:40Speaker 3: and not Cam.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Jordan's okay, who's playing at an extremely high level as well,
- 12:47Speaker 5: well into his thirties.
- 12:51Speaker 3: If you lose both those guys, that's a big hit
- 12:55Speaker 3: in the locker room as well.
- 12:56Speaker 5: That's I mean the production this year, their leadership, because
- 13:01Speaker 5: it was great. Their production was great, But that's a
- 13:04Speaker 5: big void to fill, like just a strength, Like I mean,
- 13:08Speaker 5: how long has those two been in the locker room
- 13:11Speaker 5: and everybody's leaned on them.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Yeah, that's hard to replace that for any dollar amount. Yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 3: and there's gonna be some people that want Tomorroow Davis.
- 13:19Speaker 3: I know he's thirty seven years old, but when you
- 13:20Speaker 3: look at the linebackers that are available, the top guys
- 13:23Speaker 3: are all older guys. Bobby Wagner's gonna be thirty six,
- 13:29Speaker 3: Leavonte David is thirty six, Kaden Ellis is gonna be
- 13:33Speaker 3: thirty one, Matt Malonald's gonna be thirty one in zelone.
- 13:38Speaker 3: He's gonna be thirty two when the season starts, So
- 13:41Speaker 3: all the top linebackers are going to be older. So
- 13:42Speaker 3: they're not going to like completely shy away from Tomorrow
- 13:45Speaker 3: Davis because he is thirty seven. He just had one
- 13:48Speaker 3: of his best years of his career, so you're gonna
- 13:51Speaker 3: have competition for him as well. That's why I was
- 13:53Speaker 3: so imperative you get under the number, because you got
- 13:55Speaker 3: to make some moves, and you got to make some
- 13:57Speaker 3: moves on some guys that were on your team. It's
- 13:59Speaker 3: not just bringing in new guys from new places. But
- 14:06Speaker 3: Matt Flynn, big Mickey fan, say he's gonna get it done.
- 14:08Speaker 5: You're gonna get it done. Playoff bound Saints who.
- 14:14Speaker 6: That?
- 14:14Speaker 3: All right? We'll take a great more OTB when we
- 14:16Speaker 3: come back here live from the Raising Kine Studio.

- 15:59Speaker 4: Ali day, No rest for the wicked mine.
- 16:03Speaker 3: They don't grow up, sees.
- 16:05Speaker 4: I got bills to Bay, I got mouth, nothing name.
- 16:09Speaker 4: It's wel for food. I can't some town.

- 16:17Speaker 3: I know that ain't no rest for the wicked.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I tell me close arasp for good, not even.
- 16:24Speaker 3: All right, Welcome back in OTV here live from the
- 16:26Speaker 3: Raising Caine Studio. You got j Clark joining us in
- 16:33Speaker 3: about ten fifteen minutes from now. LSU Gymnastics.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Maybe crush them, Hea, they good tigers.
- 16:49Speaker 2: All right?
- 16:49Speaker 3: What do you want to talk about? I was told
- 16:51Speaker 3: the numbers are not what we want to talk about.
- 16:53Speaker 3: So where we going?
- 16:55Speaker 7: I want to talk about numbers? Talk about numbers. We
- 16:57Speaker 7: got a It was just a suggestion.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Elis Baseball Sacramento State. Hell, yeah, they need to bounce back.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Boy do they.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Couple losses in a row, Well, get right weekend, need
- 17:12Speaker 3: one lose Monday thirteen to ten, you lose Wednesday seven
- 17:18Speaker 3: to two. Sacramento State coming into town on Friday, Saturday,
- 17:22Speaker 3: Sunday six thirty pm first pitch, Saturday six pm first pitch,
- 17:28Speaker 3: and then Sunday a one pm first pitch, and then
- 17:30Speaker 3: he got Creighton in the midweek on Tuesday before you
- 17:33Speaker 3: head to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt. Need some momentum,
- 17:40Speaker 3: that's for sure. We're going into SEC play and it's
- 17:43Speaker 3: got to start this weekending at Sacramento State.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I gotta get the bats rolling, certainly.
- 17:48Speaker 5: I think I feel like that's fans, and I think
- 17:51Speaker 5: Jay Johnson probably feels pretty good about his.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Three weekend starters right now. And I think he even mentioned.
- 17:58Speaker 5: That he's got a pretty good idea of his or
- 18:00Speaker 5: like Maine, you know, four Leavers are that he feel
- 18:03Speaker 5: really comfortable with. But it's all about the bats. Gotta
- 18:06Speaker 5: get him hot.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Sacramento State's three and nine, it didn't really matter. I
- 18:12Speaker 3: think with Northeastern the kind of similar record, Uh, sacramentost
- 18:17Speaker 3: State is not one of an away game. They've lost
- 18:20Speaker 3: five games in a row.
- 18:22Speaker 2: It beat Saint Joseph's twice.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Here's Saint Joseph salty this year.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Salty real salty.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Uh, you gotta sweep the series. It is what it is.
- 18:33Speaker 3: They've lost five in a row, they lost two Pacific,
- 18:38Speaker 3: they got swept by col and they lost to Fresno State.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Hmm, it is what it is.
- 18:47Speaker 3: You hate conference sweeps. You need to get right. They're bad,
- 18:51Speaker 3: you haven't played well. You gotta dominate. Yeah, you see,
- 18:58Speaker 3: Irvine is a good program for sure, but I'll swept him.
- 19:00Speaker 3: It's not a great team. You got to do the
- 19:05Speaker 3: things that you haven't been doing right. You have to
- 19:08Speaker 3: go out there. You have to be better at the plate. Obviously,
- 19:11Speaker 3: we talked about it going back a couple of weekends ago,
- 19:13Speaker 3: Like you were really good on the mound. That has
- 19:15Speaker 3: kind of falling apart. You've given up thirteen and seven,
- 19:18Speaker 3: so twenty combined runs your last two games. I know
- 19:22Speaker 3: he scored ten runs against Northeastern. I know you made
- 19:26Speaker 3: a little comeback there, but like as y'all pointed out,
- 19:28Speaker 3: that was with a lot of backups. That's guys that
- 19:30Speaker 3: were pinch hitting in that game. They were the ones
- 19:32Speaker 3: that made the comeback. You didn't get anything started after
- 19:36Speaker 3: you got your first two hitters on base a ton
- 19:40Speaker 3: on Wednesday night in Lafayette. This lineup as much as anything,
- 19:45Speaker 3: they've got to have a breakout weekend. They got to
- 19:47Speaker 3: get a get right situation at Sacramento State.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Wandra, what we say yesterday the last six game
- 19:52Speaker 2: is bad about.
- 19:53Speaker 7: To ten seventeen sea the starting Yes, that's with Curiel
- 20:01Speaker 7: having a really nice day at the played against Lafayette,
- 20:05Speaker 7: So that's even with that.
- 20:06Speaker 2: So obviously he was little.
- 20:08Speaker 5: He wouldn't getting on base how you like, until that game,
- 20:10Speaker 5: so hopefully that carries on. Yeah, and you got to
- 20:12Speaker 5: get the middle of that lineup going.
- 20:13Speaker 4: It's really the middle of the lineup.
- 20:14Speaker 7: And if you want to make a change, like I
- 20:16Speaker 7: would say, Trent Carraway is making a case to be
- 20:19Speaker 7: like third in the lineup because he's second on the
- 20:23Speaker 7: team and RBI.
- 20:24Speaker 4: He's clutching the moments.
- 20:25Speaker 7: He had that Grand Slam a couple of weekends ago.
- 20:29Speaker 7: I think it's two because he had the other one
- 20:31Speaker 7: versus Lafayette. Yeah, we're scored the only two runs that
- 20:35Speaker 7: we had, So I mean again, like I think that
- 20:38Speaker 7: LSU probably will and can sweep the series because they've
- 20:42Speaker 7: swept every weekend. It's the midweek games that are kind
- 20:46Speaker 7: of struggling. And yes, one hundred percent they need to
- 20:49Speaker 7: get the offense going. But I just I still feel
- 20:52Speaker 7: really good about the team, even though they're kind of
- 20:54Speaker 7: cold right now, and it's really the defensive side that
- 20:57Speaker 7: like kind of gives me some worries. You've got it
- 20:59Speaker 7: like a lot more air this season then you had
- 21:02Speaker 7: the entire last season, and you're replacing a lot. You're
- 21:06Speaker 7: replacing second base, first base, and third base. So I
- 21:10Speaker 7: just think that they everybody just needs to find a rhythm.
- 21:13Speaker 7: And I feel like it's been in the past where
- 21:16Speaker 7: Jay's teams kind of start off a little slow and
- 21:18Speaker 7: then once you get into that sec play and everybody
- 21:22Speaker 7: starts to kind of get to know each other and
- 21:24Speaker 7: like find the team chemistry and stuff like that.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Not that not that they don't have it now, but it's.
- 21:28Speaker 7: Different practicing and scrimmaging than being an actual game.
- 21:31Speaker 4: So I think that.
- 21:36Speaker 7: The issue that that can cause issues with Sacramento State
- 21:40Speaker 7: is that team's smaller Mid major teams try to like
- 21:44Speaker 7: pepper you a little bit and just get the ball
- 21:47Speaker 7: and play and will play like some small balld like
- 21:49Speaker 7: situational hitting and stuff like that. Yeah, so that's that's
- 21:53Speaker 7: the one thing that I would watch out for with
- 21:56Speaker 7: Sacramento State is ken Elishu's defense that has been kind
- 21:59Speaker 7: of struggling a little bit deal with the small ball.
- 22:02Speaker 5: I guess it's more normal for batters to go cold
- 22:05Speaker 5: than like defensively to Yeah, could, but I mean, I
- 22:07Speaker 5: guess it's the beginning of the year. Jay's still figuring
- 22:09Speaker 5: out who what his roster is, who's defensive line. There's
- 22:12Speaker 5: probably positions that he's still probably tweaking, and then sometimes
- 22:15Speaker 5: you got to take a lower batting batting average to
- 22:17Speaker 5: get a better glove. Yeah, and so maybe he's still
- 22:20Speaker 5: trying to figure all that. But that I would I
- 22:22Speaker 5: would agree like that's more of a concern on defensively
- 22:25Speaker 5: the airs than like going cold at the play that happens.
- 22:28Speaker 2: So it's baseball. It's a long season.
- 22:29Speaker 5: Like you go through these streaks and hopefully you got
- 22:32Speaker 5: more guys that aren't on them than than are. But
- 22:34Speaker 5: everybody gets a cold streak. So it's just been unfortunate
- 22:37Speaker 5: that everybody's kind of been cold. Right, most most of.
- 22:40Speaker 7: The batters, like Whenever Kuriel's hot, York and Steven Mylam
- 22:44Speaker 7: are cold. If Milam's hot, Curiel's cold. So I don't
- 22:47Speaker 7: think that they've ever.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Been like, yeah, they're not ham and egging right now.
- 22:54Speaker 4: You're not synergized.
- 22:57Speaker 2: They're not synergized.
- 22:58Speaker 7: You'll probably see Ethan Leighton, who is usually their Friday starter.
- 23:05Speaker 7: Interestingly enough, he bats too. I don't know if he
- 23:09Speaker 7: has this season, but he's like a two way player,
- 23:12Speaker 7: like he'll hit.
- 23:15Speaker 4: And he'll pitch.
- 23:16Speaker 7: But probably see Ethan late and night, and probably see
- 23:22Speaker 7: Cason Evans for LSU.
- 23:24Speaker 2: We're gonna crush Ethan and strike him out.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Both and strike him out. Yeah, three losses.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Sorry, defense is certainly not something that has been stellar.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Last year. The biggest thing Jay would always talk about
- 23:41Speaker 3: was the defense and how good they were. And these
- 23:44Speaker 3: losses you've had, you know, multiple errors in these games.
- 23:47Speaker 3: You have not given yourself an opportunity. So there's a
- 23:50Speaker 3: lot of things, right, a lot of things that LSU
- 23:52Speaker 3: needs to work on here in this series against Sacramento State.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Something they need to go out there and kind of refocus.
- 23:59Speaker 3: They started the season so hot, right, they've hit a
- 24:01Speaker 3: rough patch here. Certainly, to their standard. And you've got
- 24:04Speaker 3: conference play coming up here next weekend. I mean it
- 24:07Speaker 3: is here. You've got this series, you've got Creighton, and
- 24:10Speaker 3: you've got a road trip to Vanderbilt. So let's see
- 24:13Speaker 3: if the boys over at the box can get it
- 24:15Speaker 3: done tonight. All right, we'll take a break and when
- 24:18Speaker 3: we come back, number two LSU gymnastics team it's taking
- 24:23Speaker 3: on the number four Florida Gators. Let's go Matt's favorite team.

- 26:19Speaker 3: I hope you're doing well.
- 26:20Speaker 6: What's up this morning? Guys?
- 26:22Speaker 3: Uh doing fantastic. Any chance that the Tigers get to
- 26:26Speaker 3: face off against the Florida Gators is a good day
- 26:29Speaker 3: for OTB. So we've got that going for us, but
- 26:32Speaker 3: for you, and every time I feel like we talk
- 26:35Speaker 3: with you, it's like the same story. If we go
- 26:38Speaker 3: back over the last you know, two and a half
- 26:39Speaker 3: three weeks, you were going to face the number one,
- 26:43Speaker 3: the number three team in the country twice, the number
- 26:45Speaker 3: seventeen team in the country, and now you're going on
- 26:47Speaker 3: the road against the number four team in the country. Uh,
- 26:50Speaker 3: just kind of business as usual for you and your
- 26:53Speaker 3: gymnastics team.
- 26:55Speaker 6: Yeah, it's kind of getting kind of repetitive, for sure,
- 26:58Speaker 6: but when seven of the top eight in the country
- 27:00Speaker 6: or in this conference, I guess it's unavoidable. It's uh,
- 27:04Speaker 6: it's crazy, but we enjoy it. Man. I think I
- 27:07Speaker 6: think our kids do better in those environments against those
- 27:10Speaker 6: kind of teams, and and uh so on to the
- 27:13Speaker 6: next one. Man, we we'll, we'll, we'll be down there.
- 27:15Speaker 6: Uh uh in Gainesville Sunday, Sunday evening. I think it's
- 27:20Speaker 6: sixth Eastern and uh, I guess it's on ESPN two
- 27:23Speaker 6: or something like that. So uh, hopefully everybody tunes in
- 27:27Speaker 6: and we can pull one off.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Coach.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Let's let's take I know it's Friday, headed into the
- 27:32Speaker 5: week ahead, and then the next uh.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Next meet.
- 27:34Speaker 5: But let's take a look back, since we hadn't talked
- 27:36Speaker 5: to you since last Friday, and let's look at what
- 27:38Speaker 5: you did this past week. And of course you uh,
- 27:40Speaker 5: you beat Alabama, You top Alabama on Friday night, then
- 27:42Speaker 5: you go to the Podium Challenge and come on top
- 27:44Speaker 5: of that one. It just seems like your girls are
- 27:47Speaker 5: really kind of performing at a very high level at
- 27:50Speaker 5: this point of the season.
- 27:51Speaker 6: They are, they are, and we were able to make
- 27:53Speaker 6: some some lineup changes and get some people in that
- 27:56Speaker 6: had not been in a whole lot and and see
- 27:58Speaker 6: what they would do and and try to developed the
- 28:00Speaker 6: depth that we keep talking about we have, but it's
- 28:02Speaker 6: not depth if you don't develop it. So we got
- 28:04Speaker 6: we got an opportunity on Sunday to see how they
- 28:08Speaker 6: did and actually improved our score from Friday to Sunday.
- 28:12Speaker 6: So feel really good about where we are right now.
- 28:15Speaker 6: And knock on wood, you know, our health is holding
- 28:18Speaker 6: pretty well right now, so you know, we feel good.
- 28:21Speaker 6: We've got two more meets in the regular season and
- 28:23Speaker 6: then get into the SEC Championship and see where we
- 28:26Speaker 6: can take this thing.
- 28:27Speaker 3: So coach, being in this situation like you have so
- 28:30Speaker 3: many different times being one of the top teams in
- 28:31Speaker 3: the country getting to this point in the season. Are
- 28:34Speaker 3: there a lot of things that you do with your
- 28:36Speaker 3: team that are going to be repetitive, a lot of
- 28:38Speaker 3: things that you've done in years past or is every
- 28:40Speaker 3: year kind of different and there's new challenges, there's new things,
- 28:42Speaker 3: there's new teams, there's new teammates, and maybe you got
- 28:45Speaker 3: to kind of switch it up a little bit.
- 28:47Speaker 6: Well, the overarching, the overarching principles stayed the same, but
- 28:50Speaker 6: as you know, every team has its own personality and
- 28:54Speaker 6: different people emerge, you know in terms of filling voids
- 28:58Speaker 6: that were left, and you know, voices change and all
- 29:02Speaker 6: those things. So you know, we make we make allowance
- 29:04Speaker 6: for that, and we sort of read the tea leaves
- 29:06Speaker 6: and try to stay present and where we are. But
- 29:09Speaker 6: at the same time, you know, the the overarching principles
- 29:13Speaker 6: and the messaging and what works for us stays the same.
- 29:16Speaker 6: And a lot of these kids came here because they
- 29:19Speaker 6: understood what that looked like and and uh so it
- 29:22Speaker 6: doesn't change an awful lot, but you do have to
- 29:24Speaker 6: make allowances for those that step up into the leadership
- 29:28Speaker 6: role that that have different sort of nuances to the
- 29:30Speaker 6: way they like to express things.
- 29:32Speaker 1: And do things.
- 29:34Speaker 5: Coach here, I'm curious, so you're going into this next
- 29:36Speaker 5: meet against Florida. So, like from Jake and I's perspective,
- 29:40Speaker 5: when we just hear the name Florida Gators, it like
- 29:42Speaker 5: creates a very emotional response in us with bro me too.
- 29:46Speaker 6: Man, I'm telling you, it is, it is. It is
- 29:50Speaker 6: the all time word. Now you listen, you're talking. I've
- 29:53Speaker 6: been here fourteen years and as far as I'm concerned,
- 29:55Speaker 6: I'm an LSU Tiger. But you got to remember where
- 29:57Speaker 6: I'm from too. I'm from I'm from Georgia. We don't
- 29:59Speaker 6: like those as a whole lot. So it's it's it's
- 30:05Speaker 6: it evokes a visceral response from me as well, and
- 30:09Speaker 6: I don't I have a hard time tamping that down
- 30:12Speaker 6: during the week and remembering that we don't have defense
- 30:14Speaker 6: because I really would like to play something.
- 30:17Speaker 8: Because it's so funny, guys, it's such a cool thing
- 30:20Speaker 8: about sports, especially in college sports, and no matter what
- 30:24Speaker 8: the sport is, it's like sometimes we could just drop
- 30:27Speaker 8: the coach speak and just talk how it is, like
- 30:29Speaker 8: we we don't like them over here, and it's it's fantastic.
- 30:32Speaker 5: It's a it's a great rivalry and that's why. And
- 30:35Speaker 5: you always want them to be good too. We talked
- 30:36Speaker 5: about from a football respective, I want Florida to be
- 30:38Speaker 5: good at football because when I beat them, I wanted to, like,
- 30:41Speaker 5: I wanted to hurt a little bit.
- 30:43Speaker 6: Yeah. Absolutely, And look, there's a difference between not liking
- 30:47Speaker 6: people and also have a respect for your opponent. Because
- 30:50Speaker 6: I look that roster we're going against this weekend, maybe
- 30:54Speaker 6: maybe the most loaded I've ever seen in thirty five years.
- 30:57Speaker 6: I mean, they're ridiculously talented. But but we always compete
- 31:01Speaker 6: hard when we're there, and I love going there. It's
- 31:03Speaker 6: generally very very close and in a great environment, not
- 31:08Speaker 6: quite like the p MAC, but but also very good.
- 31:11Speaker 6: And we get excited about these environments. Man, it's it's uh,
- 31:15Speaker 6: it's why they come here, it's why you it's why
- 31:17Speaker 6: you come to the SEC, and it's why you come
- 31:19Speaker 6: to ls US to get into this kind of situation.
- 31:22Speaker 3: That's really where I wanted to go next and ask
- 31:25Speaker 3: you because obviously you've been very successful. LSU's won national championship,
- 31:29Speaker 3: a lot of attention around the gymnastics program, so coach.
- 31:32Speaker 3: When you go on the road to one of these
- 31:34Speaker 3: sec environments, I have to imagine they're not whispering sweet
- 31:38Speaker 3: nothings to your team. I mean, you're a team that
- 31:40Speaker 3: everybody wants to beat, and that's a that's a compliment
- 31:43Speaker 3: whenever you get to that status.
- 31:45Speaker 6: Yeah, and you know, people think of our sport that
- 31:47Speaker 6: haven't been to the PMAC or been in these environments
- 31:50Speaker 6: and they think you're sitting on your hands like you're
- 31:51Speaker 6: at Wimbledon or something. But it's it's you're not. I mean,
- 31:55Speaker 6: these students sections are crazy. Some of the things that
- 31:57Speaker 6: get hurled at you verbally or every bit as as
- 32:01Speaker 6: a as a hard to hear as they can be
- 32:05Speaker 6: in a football stadium. So it's it's interesting, it's you know,
- 32:08Speaker 6: people don't people don't extend greater respect just because it's
- 32:12Speaker 6: it's a bunch of young women out there.
- 32:15Speaker 5: Coach this part of the season, you have quite an advantage,
- 32:19Speaker 5: especially on your your staff. What kind of what does
- 32:22Speaker 5: Haley Bryant mean to the girls on a team right now,
- 32:25Speaker 5: especially kind of going into into the season, getting ready
- 32:28Speaker 5: to postseason. What does she mean to your your team
- 32:31Speaker 5: and your staff.
- 32:32Speaker 6: She stabilizes a lot of things because they had such
- 32:35Speaker 6: an incredible respect for her as their teammate. And you know,
- 32:38Speaker 6: you worry about that when you hire somebody right out
- 32:41Speaker 6: of school and you don't know, you know, in a
- 32:45Speaker 6: in a typical situation, I would not have done it
- 32:47Speaker 6: if it had not been Hailey Bryant. I would not
- 32:49Speaker 6: have hired somebody right out of right out of college
- 32:52Speaker 6: and coaching their teammates from the previous year. But they
- 32:55Speaker 6: had such an amazing high level of respect for her
- 32:58Speaker 6: that the transition has been very, very easy, and they
- 33:02Speaker 6: now they feel like they've got an even deeper confidante.
- 33:06Speaker 6: And I trust her with that, you know, they can
- 33:08Speaker 6: they can bring things to her that she understands that
- 33:10Speaker 6: that she can provide a greater level of perspective on
- 33:14Speaker 6: now that she's you know, crossed over to the dark
- 33:16Speaker 6: side of the force, and and and and she's she
- 33:20Speaker 6: just really does a great job of of of honoring
- 33:24Speaker 6: her position but also kind of staying in that role
- 33:28Speaker 6: where she was as a teammate, where they can come
- 33:30Speaker 6: to her with things that she can. She has such
- 33:33Speaker 6: a gentle, sort of servant minded leadership style that she's
- 33:39Speaker 6: you know, she's cossibly trying to help you even if
- 33:41Speaker 6: you you know, if you make a mistake, you mess up,
- 33:44Speaker 6: she's gonna kind of come alongside you rather than point
- 33:47Speaker 6: her finger and bark at you. And I think they really,
- 33:49Speaker 6: they really appreciate that about her, And uh, I think
- 33:52Speaker 6: it's it's really helped us a lot in in ways
- 33:55Speaker 6: that I guess I didn't even anticipate that aren't necessarily
- 33:59Speaker 6: tangible thing that I could express to you.
- 34:02Speaker 5: Yeah, it's something certainly an experience and a leadership that
- 34:05Speaker 5: not many girls like you said, if it wasn't Haley Bryant,
- 34:07Speaker 5: then it probably wouldn't have happened. So it's quite an asset,
- 34:11Speaker 5: and I can only imagine just from a mental perspective
- 34:13Speaker 5: that's going to help in the postseason as well. Coach,
- 34:16Speaker 5: I want to stick with ask another Haley Bryant question,
- 34:19Speaker 5: but it's not really it's not about LSU. So I
- 34:21Speaker 5: want to get away just for a second, and I
- 34:23Speaker 5: want to ask a question for kind of the common
- 34:26Speaker 5: the casual gymnastics fan that love LSU gymnastics but maybe
- 34:32Speaker 5: not tuned into like the rest of it in the
- 34:34Speaker 5: in detail of gymnastics. So, Haley Bryan, I want to
- 34:38Speaker 5: ask you what's the difference between college gymnastics and Olympic
- 34:41Speaker 5: type gymnastics, because I when Hailey Bryant was beating girls
- 34:44Speaker 5: that would going to the Olympics, Like, I want to adjust.
- 34:48Speaker 5: You can give me, like just a brief explanation of
- 34:50Speaker 5: what the difference is between that competition and the college competition.
- 34:55Speaker 6: In simpless terms, it's the number of skills that we
- 34:58Speaker 6: have to do. Like, the difficulty level is still very
- 35:01Speaker 6: very high for us, but it's the number of skill
- 35:05Speaker 6: When you get to the Olympic level, they may have
- 35:08Speaker 6: to put so many skills into their routines when they
- 35:12Speaker 6: come to school, come to college, we're able to take
- 35:15Speaker 6: the best of what they do and kind of shrink,
- 35:18Speaker 6: if you will, the duration of these routines, so you'll see,
- 35:23Speaker 6: you know, a barantine for us might last twenty five seconds.
- 35:26Speaker 6: A barantine at the Olympic level might might last twice
- 35:30Speaker 6: that long. So we're still doing We're still doing that
- 35:33Speaker 6: level of difficulty. And Haley certainly physically was able to
- 35:36Speaker 6: do pretty much anything at a at a world class level,
- 35:40Speaker 6: but the collegiate rules are such that it makes no
- 35:43Speaker 6: sense for us to push the ovelope to the ceiling
- 35:47Speaker 6: of what these kids are capable of, whereas at the
- 35:49Speaker 6: Olympic level, I mean they're uh, execution sometimes goes out
- 35:54Speaker 6: the window because it's just about stacking difficulties. So philosophically
- 35:58Speaker 6: it's very different. We're much for about clean execution, really
- 36:03Speaker 6: good landings and making things clean, whereas at the Olympic
- 36:07Speaker 6: level it's stacked your difficulty because you get two different scores.
- 36:09Speaker 6: You get a difficulty score and you get an execution score,
- 36:12Speaker 6: and that difficulty score makes the difference. Like Simone Biles
- 36:14Speaker 6: was so much better than everybody in the world, is
- 36:16Speaker 6: that she could do things nobody else could do, and
- 36:19Speaker 6: do a lot of them, and that's the biggest difference.
- 36:22Speaker 6: We sort of have condensed it at the collegiate level.
- 36:25Speaker 2: I just know saw Haley whipping up on some Olympians
- 36:28Speaker 2: she has.
- 36:29Speaker 6: She's dude that if she had wanted to pursue that pass,
- 36:33Speaker 6: and she didn't, she was all about, you know, staying
- 36:36Speaker 6: at the level ten level, which is one step below
- 36:39Speaker 6: the elite level, and then going to college. But had
- 36:42Speaker 6: she chosen to do that, I think she would have
- 36:43Speaker 6: been a force to deal with at at the elite level. Yeah.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Absolutely. Catching up with LSU Gymnastics head coach Jay Clark
- 36:49Speaker 3: here on OTB, Let's go back to this meet against Florida.
- 36:55Speaker 3: What do you feel like maybe or what are you
- 36:57Speaker 3: hoping to get done to be able to go out
- 37:00Speaker 3: out there and put the best score like it? What's
- 37:02Speaker 3: one maybe event? What's one thing that you're like, Okay,
- 37:05Speaker 3: I've started to see it. It's close to happening. We've
- 37:07Speaker 3: played really well, We've done really well out there, but
- 37:10Speaker 3: I want to see this as we challenge ourselves against
- 37:13Speaker 3: Florida coming up.
- 37:14Speaker 6: Well, I think we've seen we've seen a lot of
- 37:17Speaker 6: people go in spots on three events and be able
- 37:20Speaker 6: to handle it and still keep us at a very
- 37:22Speaker 6: high level. There's one spot on vault that you know,
- 37:24Speaker 6: we just we need to kind of settle in that
- 37:26Speaker 6: middle part of our lineup on vault still. And it's
- 37:29Speaker 6: hard to believe that when you're you're ranked number two
- 37:32Speaker 6: in the country on an event, but we we just
- 37:34Speaker 6: want to make sure that we can we can reasonably
- 37:37Speaker 6: expect every time we go out there that we're going
- 37:39Speaker 6: to go six for six, and we seem to have
- 37:41Speaker 6: one little spot where it keeps giving us trouble here
- 37:44Speaker 6: and there on that event, I'd like us to really
- 37:46Speaker 6: get off to a great start in the first half
- 37:48Speaker 6: of that meet. If we've had trouble in the past.
- 37:51Speaker 6: This year, it's been early in meets whether we start
- 37:55Speaker 6: on bars or whether we start on vault. And this
- 37:57Speaker 6: week we'll be the away team, so we start on
- 38:00Speaker 6: and I want to see a start pass on bars
- 38:02Speaker 6: and then continue that through the first half of the meet,
- 38:04Speaker 6: because I think if we do that, we've got a
- 38:07Speaker 6: chance to finish very strong. I like where we are
- 38:09Speaker 6: on beam and floor right now. I think Courtney and
- 38:11Speaker 6: Haley have done an amazing job getting our kids in
- 38:14Speaker 6: a really good mindset and of consistency over there. I
- 38:17Speaker 6: just want to see us improve on those first two.
- 38:19Speaker 5: Cause you have a luxury have so much depth on
- 38:22Speaker 5: your team. Uh, I'm curious as when you're when you're
- 38:25Speaker 5: deciding on the rotation. For me, how much of that
- 38:28Speaker 5: is a game day decision because of the depth you have,
- 38:31Speaker 5: maybe one person is not feeling it as well. Then
- 38:33Speaker 5: have as good of a warm bat is there? Every
- 38:34Speaker 5: like game time decisions that you thought that you make
- 38:37Speaker 5: that you didn't think you'd make earlier in the week.
- 38:40Speaker 6: Well, we don't. We try not to do it right up,
- 38:43Speaker 6: you know, at the time at the beginning of the competition,
- 38:45Speaker 6: but we uh, we will make them late in the week.
- 38:48Speaker 6: So we've had two days of practice so far. We're
- 38:50Speaker 6: going to train tomorrow morning before we get on the
- 38:52Speaker 6: airplane and go, and we'll make our decisions immediately after
- 38:56Speaker 6: that practice and make sure they have it in their
- 38:58Speaker 6: heads so they can wrap their heads around. Some times
- 39:00Speaker 6: people are surprised if they're not in, and sometimes they're
- 39:02Speaker 6: surprised if they are, and I like to give them
- 39:05Speaker 6: time to kind of digest that so that we can
- 39:08Speaker 6: set aside any emotional reaction to that and make sure
- 39:11Speaker 6: that we're dialed in for everybody else. It can be difficult.
- 39:16Speaker 6: It's the best problem in the world to have, but
- 39:19Speaker 6: nonetheless it's a problem, and it's the one I want
- 39:22Speaker 6: to have, is to be able to have to make
- 39:24Speaker 6: those decisions. And we're still making decisions. In a typical year,
- 39:27Speaker 6: by now we've sort of settled in, we know exactly
- 39:30Speaker 6: what we want to do, all sticks on every event.
- 39:32Speaker 6: That's not the case right now because we've got some
- 39:34Speaker 6: options that have all done very well and I just
- 39:37Speaker 6: want to make sure that we go with the hot
- 39:39Speaker 6: hand and that we put the right people in to
- 39:42Speaker 6: give us the best chance to win. So I wouldn't
- 39:45Speaker 6: say game time, but it is close. I mean we
- 39:47Speaker 6: try to do it definitely within the last twenty four
- 39:49Speaker 6: hours of each meat.
- 39:52Speaker 3: All right, there he is Jake Clark, LSU gymnastics head
- 39:56Speaker 3: coach going on the road to take on those Gators
- 40:00Speaker 3: hashtag Gator hater here OTV coach. We appreciate it. You're
- 40:07Speaker 3: the best. Good luck coming up, safe travels, and we'll

- 40:19Speaker 2: Wow, he interrupted my question to talk about how much
- 40:22Speaker 2: you didn't like.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Him, what you'd even finish? What you even say?
- 40:25Speaker 2: It out exactly what I wanted them to do.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Yeah, good luck. It's gonna be a good meet number

- 43:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, for sure. He kind of dropped that coach
- 43:34Speaker 2: speak a little bit.
- 43:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:36Speaker 5: I love hearing it now. He came back through the
- 43:39Speaker 5: respect on it which I don't have. That he does
- 43:42Speaker 5: he does. We don't no respect, no r E S
- 43:48Speaker 5: P E c T. You're Jort wearing losers, nerds, dorks.
- 43:56Speaker 5: You don't even look good doing it.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't even look good doing it.
- 44:02Speaker 3: I don't think we get to play them in baseball
- 44:04Speaker 3: this year either. We do. Actually, it's in if I'm
- 44:07Speaker 3: not mistaking it, because I remember Dorian was talking about
- 44:11Speaker 3: coming to the games. I think it's very very like
- 44:15Speaker 3: maybe the last series.
- 44:16Speaker 4: It's usually late in the season.
- 44:18Speaker 3: I think it's a very last series. It's going to
- 44:21Speaker 3: be home.
- 44:22Speaker 4: Yeah it is.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Yeah, punks, Did I see some people? Does Matt Flann
- 44:26Speaker 3: need to throw out the first pitch?
- 44:29Speaker 4: Wait? Do I need to hit a bill? Would you
- 44:33Speaker 4: do it?
- 44:34Speaker 3: Matt?
- 44:35Speaker 2: Hell?
- 44:35Speaker 7: Yeah, I will hit a bill and ask him.
- 44:38Speaker 5: Wind up or stretch. I would you got to do
- 44:45Speaker 5: full wind up. I used to pitch as a youth.
- 44:49Speaker 5: I had a big high kick too. I had like
- 44:50Speaker 5: it because I was Nolan Ryan guy, Nolan Ryan high kicked.
- 44:55Speaker 5: I might come out of pants on baseball pants.
- 44:59Speaker 3: I think I should. Can you throw it out on Friday,
- 45:01Speaker 3: Kevin Fog throw it out on Saturday, and.
- 45:04Speaker 4: You on Sunday.
- 45:05Speaker 3: And that's to Davis Price. On Sunday, he is at
- 45:08Speaker 3: the rushing record.
- 45:09Speaker 2: It would make more sense for you to throw it out.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I got I got youth baseball, Like, that's gonna
- 45:16Speaker 3: be out.
- 45:17Speaker 4: There one night. You gotta go.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Can we do double cannon action?
- 45:21Speaker 4: Yeah, they've done that before at the same time. Yeah,
- 45:24Speaker 4: they've done that. We're like Riley Green threw it out.
- 45:26Speaker 7: And then I think the governor did after or something
- 45:29Speaker 7: like that.
- 45:29Speaker 3: I want to go at the same time, though, and
- 45:31Speaker 3: I want to see who's gets there faster.
- 45:34Speaker 6: Bro.
- 45:34Speaker 2: I'd sling that thing. I'll be I'd be at the
- 45:37Speaker 2: park three hours early getting treated.
- 45:39Speaker 3: I don't know that they'd let us do it before Florida.
- 45:41Speaker 3: We'd be ripping our jerseys all trying to get the
- 45:43Speaker 3: crowd ready to go.
- 45:44Speaker 4: We're gonna make this happen.
- 45:47Speaker 5: Sneak a beer in my back pocket. I'd shot get
- 45:49Speaker 5: it right there on the mound.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Be awesome.
- 45:57Speaker 3: I've got a lot of ideas.
- 45:58Speaker 7: I need the gun to be working too, so I
- 46:01Speaker 7: can see the speed on that.
- 46:02Speaker 5: Oh, I'll sling that. I am afraid. I'm afraid of.
- 46:07Speaker 5: I am afraid of A while pitch.
- 46:09Speaker 4: Yeah, just don't miss.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Just don't miss short. You can throw it third road,
- 46:13Speaker 3: Just don'ts.
- 46:14Speaker 4: That'd be embarrassing if it went straight to the ground.
- 46:17Speaker 5: Dude, I would throw it probably about eighty five. Make
- 46:19Speaker 5: make the catcher go down, have to dig it out
- 46:21Speaker 5: of the dirt. Hit him like in the inner thigh.
- 46:23Speaker 5: I heard him for the game, all right, Oh.
- 46:26Speaker 3: This might actually be when we're in what he.
- 46:30Speaker 2: We'll figure it out.
- 46:32Speaker 3: We'll figure it out. More TV women come back off
- 46:35Speaker 3: the bench.
