- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on your uh huh, I sure will. Good morning
- 0:05Speaker 1: everybody you are listening to the voice, come on, dig
- 0:09Speaker 1: me down one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Man o, man o, man, I just I have to
- 0:19Speaker 1: tell you this. How good is the God I serve?
- 0:26Speaker 1: How amazing is he? That's that's all I you know.
- 0:31Speaker 1: And you know what, really, man, when I try to
- 0:33Speaker 1: explain how I feel about what he does for me, really,
- 0:39Speaker 1: the words that I come up with that they just
- 0:41Speaker 1: they they inadequate. Man, They don't they don't cut it.
- 0:43Speaker 1: They really don't. You know, I could say amazing. At
- 0:47Speaker 1: one time, I even just got it. I tried something
- 0:50Speaker 1: real ignorant. One time, I just said, you know, God
- 0:52Speaker 1: is just super captual, fragilistic as be all adocious. I
- 0:55Speaker 1: just tried that. See how that felt. That's that's all
- 0:58Speaker 1: to change he is with me. I just try to
- 1:00Speaker 1: because see how that felt. But then I ain't feel
- 1:02Speaker 1: right saying that's the fact that he's amazing and awesome
- 1:05Speaker 1: and he's an awesome god. You hear people say that
- 1:08Speaker 1: is it's bigger than that too. Man. So you know,
- 1:12Speaker 1: as hard as I try, no matter what I do
- 1:15Speaker 1: every day, I'm gonna come up short with trying to
- 1:17Speaker 1: explain to you exactly how he works and how he
- 1:20Speaker 1: is for me. So I just thank him that every day,
- 1:23Speaker 1: every chance I get here, it is it is your
- 1:29Speaker 1: determination and your effort. Listen to me carefully. It is
- 1:36Speaker 1: your determination and your effort. I think that the average person,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and I'm not knocking you, I just want you to
- 1:45Speaker 1: hear me out. I think what stops the average person
- 1:48Speaker 1: from becoming successful is that we don't realize the effort
- 1:53Speaker 1: that it takes. And that's just truth. I found that
- 1:58Speaker 1: to be so true in my life and my talking
- 2:01Speaker 1: to people and meeting people, and people are asking me
- 2:04Speaker 1: questions about it and me trying to figure out the
- 2:06Speaker 1: way myself. I don't think that you really can comprehend
- 2:13Speaker 1: the effort that it takes to become successful. This is
- 2:17Speaker 1: the thing that you have to wrap your mind around
- 2:20Speaker 1: very quickly if you want to be successful on any
- 2:23Speaker 1: level in any area. The dream is the beginning. Good Lord,
- 2:28Speaker 1: let me tell you something. The determination and effort is massive.
- 2:33Speaker 1: You cannot be overly concerned with sleep. If you are
- 2:40Speaker 1: a person who is always concerned about sleep gets success
- 2:44Speaker 1: out your mind. Ain't fin to have a partner is
- 2:47Speaker 1: not finn happen. You cannot be that concerned about sleep.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Now listen to me. You have to get your rest.
- 2:56Speaker 1: But this was my philosophy. I'm just sharing you with
- 2:59Speaker 1: what how I did it. My philosophy was I stopped
- 3:05Speaker 1: being concerned about sleep. I got my rest, but I
- 3:09Speaker 1: got just enough to get back to it, and I
- 3:15Speaker 1: got back on the grind to hop in the hustle.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I got just enough rest so I could go and
- 3:21Speaker 1: put forth some more effort. But listen to me, you
- 3:26Speaker 1: cannot sleep a third of your life away and expect
- 3:29Speaker 1: to become successful if you're not already successful. If you
- 3:33Speaker 1: are asleep for eight hours, that is a third of
- 3:36Speaker 1: your day. You cannot be asleep a third of your
- 3:39Speaker 1: life and expect to get successful. Now, after you get successful,
- 3:45Speaker 1: you know, you learn as you go to work smarter,
- 3:48Speaker 1: not harder. So as you get successful, you may have
- 3:53Speaker 1: eight hours available to you. But on the way up there,
- 3:56Speaker 1: I don't see how you can do it. I promise you.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I don't. Now, maybe somebody can come for God, I
- 4:00Speaker 1: did it out he probably lying, But okay, tell your story,
- 4:05Speaker 1: because everybody I know that's successful that I've sat down
- 4:09Speaker 1: and had real talks with They wasn't concerned with sleeping.
- 4:15Speaker 1: You cannot be concerned with sleeping. If you want to
- 4:18Speaker 1: be successful. How can this happen for you? Listen to me.
- 4:23Speaker 1: The effort that it requires is massive. It's an all
- 4:27Speaker 1: out of salt on your dream. Now you got to
- 4:29Speaker 1: make an assault. It requires an all out of salt
- 4:33Speaker 1: on it. And you can't be sleeping fight at the
- 4:35Speaker 1: same time. You can't fight when you sleep. Man. I
- 4:39Speaker 1: wish I could get y'all understand this right here. Understand
- 4:43Speaker 1: that the effort that is required to be successful will
- 4:46Speaker 1: take everything you have, and when you think you've given
- 4:50Speaker 1: your all, it's gonna require some more. The quality of
- 4:55Speaker 1: your chield is amazing. See okay, listen, sitting around having
- 5:01Speaker 1: a bill every day for what? But they're sitting around
- 5:04Speaker 1: smoking weed for every day. Pa Come on, man, for real.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But if you took that beer, drinking weeds, smoking chill
- 5:14Speaker 1: time and applied it to progressing yourself towards your dream.
- 5:19Speaker 1: When you do carve out a vacation, guess where you
- 5:22Speaker 1: be able to go. Guess what part of the world
- 5:25Speaker 1: you can go. See guess how you can cheer out Now?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Instead of you just driving every year your family to
- 5:30Speaker 1: the family union, sit at the same picnic table. Everybody
- 5:33Speaker 1: pull they money in two ten families don't never pool
- 5:37Speaker 1: they money in. They down there eating like y'all eating.
- 5:40Speaker 1: You got attitude cause cause the day or day side
- 5:43Speaker 1: don't have a chip in or not. They down there
- 5:45Speaker 1: eating the extra potatoes at and making places. You're not
- 5:47Speaker 1: arguing about this every year for real, man, they ain't
- 5:50Speaker 1: got the T shirt money. You know, they got the
- 5:53Speaker 1: same T shirt on. They ain't put in that really, man,
- 5:56Speaker 1: so so so so so you want that to be
- 5:59Speaker 1: it every year? Or do you want this year I'm
- 6:03Speaker 1: taking my family to New Orleans, or I'm taking my
- 6:06Speaker 1: family see the Grand Canyon. I'm taking my family down
- 6:09Speaker 1: to the beach. This year. Me and me and my
- 6:11Speaker 1: family gonna go sight see. We're gonna go ride a
- 6:14Speaker 1: couple of river on Chicago. Me and my family gonna
- 6:17Speaker 1: go skiing. This year, Me and me and my family
- 6:19Speaker 1: going out to La Man. We go. We're gonna go
- 6:21Speaker 1: out there for a weekend. You know, you know it
- 6:23Speaker 1: can happen like that. But if you ain't working, listen
- 6:29Speaker 1: to me, average effort gets average results. That's that's all
- 6:36Speaker 1: it is to it. See, ordinary effort gets ordinary results.
- 6:46Speaker 1: But if you put forth an extra effort, See, the
- 6:50Speaker 1: only difference between extraordinary and ordinary is one word, that's extra.
- 6:54Speaker 1: If you do extra, you can take ordinary right on
- 6:58Speaker 1: over to extraordinary. Do you understand you have to have
- 7:02Speaker 1: a massive assault on your dreams? Quit sitting up in here, man,
- 7:05Speaker 1: trying to chill all the time. I'm sorry, man, I
- 7:08Speaker 1: wish I could tell you another way, but it ain't one.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Here's what I did. I wasn't concerned about how much
- 7:15Speaker 1: sleep I got. I just had to get my rest.
- 7:19Speaker 1: And once I got enough rest to get up and
- 7:21Speaker 1: get the task done, I got up. Somebody sent me
- 7:25Speaker 1: a tweet the other day, a partner of mine. He said,
- 7:31Speaker 1: to see if I can pull it up while I'm
- 7:33Speaker 1: talking to you. But he just sent me a little sign,
- 7:36Speaker 1: just what, nothing, just a little something to say, Hey man,
- 7:38Speaker 1: I ran across this, I thought about you, and I
- 7:41Speaker 1: sent it to you. It said no alarm clock needed,
- 7:45Speaker 1: my passion wakes me. It's in block print. He said,
- 7:52Speaker 1: no alarm clock needed, My passion wakes me. That's what
- 7:58Speaker 1: you got to be about. Listening to the Steve Harvey
- 8:01Speaker 1: morning show,
