• 1:39
Speaker 3: I hope everybody had a great weekend. Coming up a
• 1:42
Speaker 3: little bit later on the show, former Charleston meir Danny
• 1:44
Speaker 3: Jones is going to stop. I got several things I
• 1:47
Speaker 3: want to talk to Danny about, including I think of
• 1:51
Speaker 3: the date was June sixth. It was the anniversary of
• 1:54
Speaker 3: one of the more infamous, infamous events in the history
• 1:58
Speaker 3: of Canawa County, the famous, the famed, the infamous, as
• 2:00
Speaker 3: I said, Ganawha County pot plane crash. So I want
• 2:05
Speaker 3: to get into that a little bit with Danny. Also,
• 2:08
Speaker 3: of course, Danny always has an eye on what's going
• 2:10
Speaker 3: on in a news situation with Trump versus Musk. We'll
• 2:13
Speaker 3: get into that. And also, I mean, what's the horrific
• 2:17
Speaker 3: scenes that we're playing out on your television or online
• 2:19
Speaker 3: last night and what's going on in Los Angeles right now,
• 2:22
Speaker 3: So we'll get Danny's take on that. Also coming up
• 2:24
Speaker 3: a little bit later on the show. Secretary of State
• 2:26
Speaker 3: Chris Warner is here. Tomorrow is Super Tuesday across the
• 2:31
Speaker 3: state of West Virginia. In the first two weeks of June,
• 2:35
Speaker 3: there were a total of one hundred and four municipal
• 2:39
Speaker 3: elections across the state of West Virginia, and Secretary Warner
• 2:43
Speaker 3: is going to talk about that. He's also at Boys
• 2:45
Speaker 3: State and Girls State one today one tomorrow, so we'll
• 2:48
Speaker 3: get his take on that. And of course, your calls
• 2:51
Speaker 3: and text are always welcome. Big Ley Pigley Wiggly Hotline

• 2:56
Speaker 3: Toty of the Taylor Texts three zero four nine three
• 2:59
Speaker 3: five five zero zero eight. Couple things in the news.
• 3:02
Speaker 3: First of all, the state baseball tournament now with the books.
• 3:05
Speaker 3: Congratulations to Hurricane Redskins, Ripley, Viking's a couple of local
• 3:08
Speaker 3: teams that won championships. Now we now go into that
• 3:12
Speaker 3: weird holding pattern, if you will, for sports until we
• 3:16
Speaker 3: start talking football at the start of August. To be
• 3:19
Speaker 3: good for our sports department to get a little time
• 3:21
Speaker 3: off because they have been running ragged between the softball
• 3:24
Speaker 3: tournaments and the baseball tournament and so on and so forth.
• 3:27
Speaker 3: And speaking of sports, I guess the Cinderella season for
• 3:32
Speaker 3: the Mouth of Air baseball team came to an end
• 3:34
Speaker 3: last night at the hands of LSU and the Super Regional.
• 3:37
Speaker 3: Second straight year. Though that the Mountaineers made it to
• 3:40
Speaker 3: the Super Regional first time. I think I heard Kyle
• 3:42
Speaker 3: say this morning that's the first time the Dad's happened
• 3:43
Speaker 3: in program history. So all in all, a great season
• 3:47
Speaker 3: for the mounth and Aer baseball team. But LSU man,
• 3:50
  Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not a big college baseball guy. I
• 3:52
Speaker 3: watch it from time to time. LSU is just there's
• 3:55
Speaker 3: something else, and the Mountaineers just overpowered by LSU both
• 3:59
Speaker 3: on Saturday and then that late gay later game last night.
• 4:03
Speaker 3: But again, overall, great season for the mountain Here baseball team.
• 4:08
Speaker 3: Something in the news too. Brad mclhanny has a story
• 4:12
Speaker 3: posted on the website. You may able to check out.
• 4:13
Speaker 3: The headline is West Virginia ranks forty first in child
• 4:19
Speaker 3: well being. We actually did move up though, from forty
• 4:25
Speaker 3: fourth to forty first, so we got that going for us.
• 4:30
Speaker 3: This comes from something called the Kids Count Data Book,
• 4:35
Speaker 3: and it's basically a fifty states report of data developed
• 4:41
Speaker 3: by the Anni E. Casey Foundation taking a look at
• 4:45
Speaker 3: kids and kids' issues. So we went from forty fourth
• 4:49
Speaker 3: to forty first in that. And in case you're keeping
• 4:54
Speaker 3: score at home, some other numbers we are as far
• 4:57
Speaker 3: as it comes to kids, we are thirty and economic
• 5:02
Speaker 3: well being for the kids, thirty ninth in health, which
• 5:08
Speaker 3: I'm gonna be honest with you, that wouldn't kind of
• 5:10
Speaker 3: surprise me. I thought we would do a little worse
• 5:13
Speaker 3: than that. But we're thirty nine and thirty second in
• 5:19
Speaker 3: something that is called family and community context, and forty
• 5:27
Speaker 3: fifth in education. It's really a fascinating story. There's some
• 5:31
Speaker 3: quotes on Brad's story from Kelly Allen No Relation that
• 5:37
Speaker 3: talks about this, and of course you know how it is.
• 5:40
Speaker 3: Folks with numbers, everybody's going to be able to manipulate them. Well,
• 5:43
Speaker 3: it means that the Republicans are screwing up. Well, they've
• 5:45
Speaker 3: actually gone up under the Republicans and what they were
• 5:47
Speaker 3: in the Democrats. So you know, I'm not going to
• 5:49
Speaker 3: get into that because you can take the numbers, you
• 5:51
Speaker 3: can make them read whatever you want. But again, we're
• 5:53
Speaker 3: not great that overall in forty first, but we are
• 5:57
Speaker 3: up from forty fourth, so positive new positive note there,
• 6:04
Speaker 3: I guess you can check out Brad's story about it

• 6:21
Speaker 3: and Tonight Live anchor Amanda Barron is back today. It's
• 6:23
Speaker 3: a Monday, which means we are going to introduce you
• 6:26
Speaker 3: to another great mayor from around the state of West
• 6:29
Speaker 3: Virginia on the Mayor Monday segment. Also from the Humanities
• 6:34
Speaker 3: Council of West Virginia, Eric Wagner, is going to join us.
• 6:36
Speaker 3: We're going to be keeping a close eye on the
• 6:38
Speaker 3: weather too, because yet again it looks like West Virginia
• 6:42
Speaker 3: is in for some severe weather certain parts of the
• 6:44
Speaker 3: state anyway, including the Kanawa Valley sometime as you head
• 6:47
Speaker 3: home late this afternoon. We had a couple of good
• 6:50
Speaker 3: days runs, you know, with weather last week, but we
• 6:54
Speaker 3: did have some severe weather over the weekend. There was
• 6:56
Speaker 3: actually some flooding in parts of West Virginia. I think
• 6:59
Speaker 3: Bridgeport was one of those areas. Looked like in the
• 7:01
Speaker 3: pictures I saw posted online that they really got hammered
• 7:04
Speaker 3: late late Saturday night. I think it was. And we
• 7:07
Speaker 3: had a couple of big showers here in the kanawh
• 7:09
Speaker 3: Valley yesterday and a couple of cool looking rainbows as well.
• 7:14
Speaker 3: I'm not sure that that had anything to do with
• 7:16
Speaker 3: the event in Charleston on Saturday. That's just a it's
• 7:19
Speaker 3: a phenomenon of mother nature, if you will. So again,
• 7:24
Speaker 3: we have thirteen News Tonight Live anchor Mander Baron and
• 7:27
Speaker 3: myself coming up with Metro News Midday powered by a
• 7:29
Speaker 3: Selingo Law coming up today noon to three on this
• 7:32
Speaker 3: and other Metro news stations from around the state of
• 7:34
Speaker 3: West Virginia. Also, do want to mention coming up on
• 7:37
Speaker 3: tomorrows show, Dick Daddry is going to join us. He's
• 7:40
Speaker 3: the executive director of the Kanawha Valley Fellowship Home that
• 7:44
Speaker 3: is coming up on tomorrow's show. One other note, I
• 7:47
Speaker 3: didn't want to pass along. You've heard me on this
• 7:51
Speaker 3: show talk about how social media, in my opinion, has,
• 7:57
Speaker 3: in my opinion, has has made a a much angrier,
• 8:03
Speaker 3: angrier group overall, whether it's Republican, Democrat, liberal, conservative, or whatever.
• 8:11
Speaker 3: Our good friend TJ. Meadows hosted talk Line co host
• 8:15
Speaker 3: and I'm gonna be talking to TJ a little bit
• 8:16
Speaker 3: later on the show. Our good friend TJ. Meadows was
• 8:19
Speaker 3: following quite extensively this situation in Los Angeles where President
• 8:25
Speaker 3: Trump has sent in the FEDS federal troops in there,
• 8:30
Speaker 3: much to the chagrin of the governor of the state
• 8:33
Speaker 3: of California and also the mayor of the city of
• 8:36
Speaker 3: Los Angeles. Got I mean, it seems to be from
• 8:39
Speaker 3: what I heard on ABC News this morning, it seems
• 8:41
Speaker 3: to be a little bit calmer now than what it was.
• 8:44
Speaker 3: But I mean over the weekend, I mean, you saw
• 8:46
Speaker 3: the pictures. If you turned on the TV or you
• 8:48
Speaker 3: picked up your phone and perused in social media, you
• 8:51
Speaker 3: saw how bad it was. There, but TJ got into
• 8:54
Speaker 3: a discussion about it on social media, and I normally
• 9:01
Speaker 3: I don't comment on things like that. I may post
• 9:03
Speaker 3: something on my own page, but normally on a fellow
• 9:06
  Speaker 3: broadcaster or felt a newsperson's page, I normally don't comment.
• 9:10
Speaker 3: I save it for my own page.
• 9:11
  Speaker 5: But there was.
• 9:11
Speaker 3: Something, and I'll spare you the details, but there was
• 9:14
Speaker 3: something that was said on TJ's page, and I made
• 9:19
Speaker 3: a comment about it, and somehow it got into the
• 9:24
Speaker 3: mind wars of you know, the nineteen twenties, late teens,
• 9:28
Speaker 3: early twenties, which I don't know exactly how that happened
• 9:31
Speaker 3: and what it has to do with what's going on
• 9:32
Speaker 3: in Los Angeles. Actually I do know what the correlation
• 9:35
Speaker 3: is federal troops being brought in. But I made a
• 9:39
Speaker 3: comment and a person whom I don't know commented and
• 9:44
Speaker 3: said to me, I can't wait to let me clean
• 9:49
Speaker 3: this up so Ryan doesn't fire me. I can't wait
• 9:52
Speaker 3: to urinate on your grave. That's what a person said
• 9:56
Speaker 3: about me, that they could not wait to urinate on
• 9:58
Speaker 3: my one. I'm going to be cremated, so I guess
• 10:00
Speaker 3: you just have to knock over the vase. Uh where
• 10:05
Speaker 3: I mean you could. You could disagree with people with
• 10:08
Speaker 3: anything I say on this show or what I post
• 10:11
Speaker 3: online or whatever. But I mean to say, they can't
• 10:14
Speaker 3: wait till you're in eate And I cleaned it up
• 10:17
Speaker 3: on my grave because because you disagree with something I said.
• 10:21
Speaker 3: I mean, this is this where we are. I mean
• 10:25
Speaker 3: as a society, that that that that that's that's okay.
• 10:31
  Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. That's
• 10:34
Speaker 3: all I got to say is, folks, I don't know.

Speaker 3: Western Didion. The Secretary of State, Chris Warner. Good morning, sir, Hey,
• 14:15
  Speaker 3: good morning Dave.
• 14:16
Speaker 12: It's great to be with you from Lewis County this morning.
• 14:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, we're going to get into why you're in Lewis
• 14:21
Speaker 3: County coming up a little bit later on. But as
• 14:23
Speaker 3: far as the municipal elections go, as I said last Tuesday,
• 14:26
Speaker 3: tomorrow considered well, tomorrow really is a big one for
• 14:31
Speaker 3: municipal elections around the state, with seventy six elections being
• 14:35
Speaker 3: held tomorrow, including if I got my information right, I
• 14:38
Speaker 3: think there's three in Kanawa County tomorrow. We'll get to
• 14:40
Speaker 3: those in a moment. Secretary, why is it so important
• 14:43
Speaker 3: for people to take part in these elections?
• 14:46
Speaker 12: You know, I just had the opportunity to talk to
• 14:48
Speaker 12: Mountain Air Boys State, Dave, and it's important because you know,
• 14:54
Speaker 12: as we talked about this morning with Mountain Air Boys State,
• 14:59
Speaker 12: these they refer to them as citizens here, not in
• 15:04
Speaker 12: their boys state. But if you're not registered to vote,
• 15:07
Speaker 12: you're just a resident of your city or your county
• 15:10
Speaker 12: or your state. By registering to vote, it gives you
• 15:14
Speaker 12: the opportunity to become a citizen, and you become an
• 15:18
Speaker 12: active citizen when you actually vote, And it's all a
• 15:24
Speaker 12: part of the process. And some of these very small communities,
• 15:28
Speaker 12: if they don't have twenty people to show up and vote,
• 15:31
Speaker 12: even though there might not be a contested election, the
• 15:35
Speaker 12: state coach says that that community shall dissolve. So it's
• 15:40
Speaker 12: extremely important to get out and have a say. So though,
• 15:44
Speaker 12: in those contested elections where you have an input on
• 15:50
Speaker 12: things that affect your daily live, when you're electing a
• 15:54
Speaker 12: city council member or a mayor, those I think, quite frankly,
• 15:58
Speaker 12: are more important than your state in several offices, and
• 16:02
Speaker 12: that they have a role in your daily life.
• 16:04
Speaker 3: And I don't disagree with that. We're talking to what
• 16:06
Speaker 3: the West Virginia Secretary of State Chris Warner, because yeah, I mean,
• 16:08
Speaker 3: these are the people that actually impact your lives. And
• 16:10
Speaker 3: here in Kanawha County, the voters in Clintdennon, Marmette, and Pratt,
• 16:16
Speaker 3: all three of those here in Kanawha County will be
• 16:18
Speaker 3: headed to the polls tomorrow. And one of the things
• 16:20
Speaker 3: that I have found and I know that you can
• 16:24
Speaker 3: agree with this, is that there's lesson less people that
• 16:26
Speaker 3: seem to want to get involved, to put their name
• 16:28
Speaker 3: on the ballot to run for offices. So unfortunately, a
• 16:31
Speaker 3: lot of times when voters show up at the polls,
• 16:33
Speaker 3: and this is not the fault of anybody, I mean,
• 16:35
Speaker 3: it's on the fault of your office or anything. But
• 16:37
Speaker 3: they show up at the polls and I don't notice
• 16:39
Speaker 3: they don't have a lot of choices because a lot
• 16:41
Speaker 3: of people, you know, people just don't want to seem
• 16:44
Speaker 3: to get involved as much anymore. I'm talking about those
• 16:46
Speaker 3: running for office secretary.
• 16:49
Speaker 12: You're right, Dave, we now have too many keyboard warriors
• 16:54
Speaker 12: out there that want to poke holes in anything that
• 16:57
Speaker 12: any elected official. But again, these are the people that
• 17:02
Speaker 12: are taking the calls about the barking dog or the
• 17:04
Speaker 12: snowbyan plowed in front of their driveway, you know, the
• 17:09
Speaker 12: things that municipal leaders take care of. So I would
• 17:14
Speaker 12: just ask everybody to take a step back, look and
• 17:17
Speaker 12: realize what these people are doing. You know, they work
• 17:20
Speaker 12: seven days a week. They're answering questions in the grocery
• 17:24
Speaker 12: store on their way to the post office. It's it's
• 17:29
Speaker 12: a thankless job at times, and I just want to
• 17:32
Speaker 12: applaud those that do run for office and put their
• 17:35
Speaker 12: name up on the ballot and take the grief that they.
• 17:38
Speaker 3: Take, and they do take a lot. But a valance
• 17:41
Speaker 3: show on five eighty Live is brought to you by
• 17:43
Speaker 3: Morgan to Morgan in America's largest injury law firm. So
• 17:45
Speaker 3: what plans has the office got for being out and
• 17:49
  Speaker 3: about tomorrow?
• 17:51
Speaker 12: I've got eight seven or eight communities that I'm on
• 17:55
Speaker 12: hit in Harrison County starting in Bridgeport tomorrow, but we're
• 17:58
Speaker 12: going to cover Harrison and h and Marion Counties. We
• 18:02
Speaker 12: are going to have one staff member from the office
• 18:07
Speaker 12: at every contested election uh in the state tomorrow. So there,
• 18:12
Speaker 12: I think it's seventy seven that will actually vote tomorrow,
• 18:16
Speaker 12: seventy seven communities, and we're going to have everywhere that
• 18:20
Speaker 12: there's a contested race, we're going to have somebody either
• 18:24
Speaker 12: from our investigations or Elections division. And again I'm covering
• 18:28
Speaker 12: seven or eight in north central West Virginia.
• 18:32
Speaker 3: Any issues with the first round last week, first round of.
• 18:36
  Speaker 12: Don't I don't think that there's anything that's been a notable,
• 18:41
Speaker 12: you know, the normal but you know, the election will
• 18:47
Speaker 12: uh ten days later will be the audit or the
• 18:51
Speaker 12: canvassing as as some would refer to that. And you know,
• 18:56
Speaker 12: so we expect everything to go well. We've got a
• 18:59
Speaker 12: great field stand as you well know, and they're spread
• 19:02
Speaker 12: out across the state as well, offering help as far
• 19:06
Speaker 12: as the training goes and making sure that everybody is
• 19:09
Speaker 12: ready to go for election day. You know, the important
• 19:12
Speaker 12: part about the Secretary of State's office is that there
• 19:16
Speaker 12: is never a down year. They're either municipal elections or
• 19:19
Speaker 12: state wide elections, so every year is an election year
• 19:23
Speaker 12: for us, and we treated as such.
• 19:27
Speaker 3: And if people do go to the polling place tomorrow
• 19:29
Speaker 3: and some of these elections, Secretary and they see something
• 19:32
Speaker 3: that doesn't seem quite right, you know, you see some
• 19:34
Speaker 3: electioneering going on, or you see people with campaign materials,
• 19:38
Speaker 3: or you got questions. Things just don't look like that
• 19:41
Speaker 3: they're on the up and up. What do they need
• 19:43
  Speaker 3: to do?
• 19:44
Speaker 12: We ask folks first of all to address that with
• 19:48
Speaker 12: the poll workers. But if you see something, say something,
• 19:52
Speaker 12: and you can do that by going to WV fraud
• 19:57
Speaker 12: is the telephone number to call, put you directly into
• 20:01
Speaker 12: the investigation office. At the Secretary of State, and we
• 20:06
Speaker 12: have folks that can deploy quickly.
• 20:09
Speaker 3: Boy, we let you go because I know you're busy.
• 20:10
Speaker 3: You get some other things to get to. So you
• 20:12
Speaker 3: mentioned that you're up in Lewis County. Boys State, I
• 20:15
Speaker 3: think today in Girls State going on tomorrow? Is that right?
• 20:20
Speaker 12: Actually, I just finished with the flag raising ceremony and
• 20:25
Speaker 12: spoke to all two hundred and forty citizens of Boys State,
• 20:29
Speaker 12: and I'm on my way to Randolph County to speak
• 20:33
Speaker 12: for the first day of.
• 20:34
Speaker 3: Girls Oh okay, okay, that's my fault. Yeah, they're actually
• 20:37
Speaker 3: going on at the same time. What why is Boys
• 20:40
Speaker 3: and Girls State? Why is this so important for people
• 20:42
Speaker 3: or for the for the youngsters, not youngsters, the young
• 20:44
  Speaker 3: adults involved.
• 20:46
Speaker 12: You know, we had the opportunity to talk this morning,
• 20:49
Speaker 12: and after I had a chance to address the entire crowd,
• 20:52
Speaker 12: I was just refreshing to see the number of citizens
• 20:59
Speaker 12: that wanted to step forward and talk about what their
• 21:02
Speaker 12: plans are. Many of them are trying to get into
• 21:05
Speaker 12: the military academies. You too wanted to go to the
• 21:08
Speaker 12: Air Force Academy. They're juniors on their way to becoming seniors.
• 21:13
Speaker 12: And we talked about the Jennings Randolph Award, where if
• 21:16
Speaker 12: you register more than eighty five percent of your senior class,
• 21:21
Speaker 12: we recognize that school with the Jennings Randolph Award, and
• 21:25
Speaker 12: then we invite them to the capital during the legislative
• 21:29
Speaker 12: session in January and February to recognize the two students
• 21:34
Speaker 12: that led that effort as honorary Secretaries of State. So
• 21:39
Speaker 12: this is all about citizenship. They're now citizens of boy state,
• 21:44
Speaker 12: but we want them to become citizens in their community
• 21:47
Speaker 12: and their county and in their state when they go
• 21:50
Speaker 12: back home on Saturday.
• 21:51
Speaker 3: All right, Secretary, will let you get back to it.
• 21:54
Speaker 3: I appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to
• 21:56
Speaker 3: be with us the happy Super Tuesday election day tomorrow.
• 22:01
Speaker 12: Dave, thanks for the opportunity today, all.
• 22:02
Speaker 3: Right, West Virginia Secretary of s Chris Warner nine twenty
• 22:05
Speaker 3: nine Dave Island Show and five any line presented in
• 22:07
Speaker 3: part by Generations Physical Therapy, the leading provider of outpatient
• 22:11
Speaker 3: PT in the Tri State for nearly thirty years. For
• 22:13
Speaker 3: an appointment three zero four, seven, six zero fifty six
• 22:16
Speaker 3: sixty of visit GENERATIONSPT dot com to find the closest
• 22:19
Speaker 3: location near you and again in Kanawa County. The communities
• 22:22
Speaker 3: of Clindennon, Marmette, and Pratt will all be headed to
• 22:26
Speaker 3: the polls tomorrow. We got a little info from a
• 22:30
Speaker 3: friend of the program, Tony Hodge, who's a regular on
• 22:33
Speaker 3: the program here. His son, Hayden, is the sitting governor
• 22:37
Speaker 3: at at Boys State. So just Tony wanted to make
• 22:42
Speaker 3: sure I knew that he's a good kid. All what
• 22:45
Speaker 3: happened to his dad, But now he's a good kid.
• 22:47
  Speaker 12: Now.
• 22:47
Speaker 3: I'm just kidding, but yeah, the congratulations to Hayden. Danny Jones,
• 22:52
Speaker 3: former Charleston mayor, has stopped by.
• 22:55
Speaker 8: How you doing, man, How you doing? I'm doing good, buddy,
• 22:58
Speaker 8: Thanks for having me over.
• 22:59
Speaker 3: Thank you for being here. All right, So before we
• 23:01
Speaker 3: get into anything else, I gotta ask you Musk versus Trump, Yeah,
• 23:06
Speaker 3: what do you think about it?
• 23:08
  Speaker 12: Well?
• 23:08
Speaker 8: I think Trump will come out on the losing end
• 23:12
Speaker 8: because he just can't allow the slightest slight to go unanswered.
• 23:19
Speaker 8: And what he should have done was just ignored it.
• 23:22
Speaker 8: And I mean, our federal government needs SpaceX, for instance.
• 23:32
Speaker 8: And I don't know if Trump, I mean, if Musk
• 23:37
  Speaker 8: didn't take his medicine. I mean, I don't know what's
• 23:39
Speaker 8: causing all this? Well, he has some issues.
• 23:41
Speaker 3: He has some major issues. And now there's a lot
• 23:44
Speaker 3: of reports out there about about drug use with Moska,
• 23:48
Speaker 3: about the amount of I mean things like I mean,
• 23:50
Speaker 3: this is when you know, widely published about the use
• 23:54
Speaker 3: of ecstasy and uh uh and ketamine and all on
• 23:57
Speaker 3: all these other things. So maybe maybe he took the
• 23:59
Speaker 3: medication or didn't take enough of something I don't know.
• 24:02
Speaker 8: Ketam Yeah sounds like a cat food.
• 24:04
Speaker 3: It is, It's exactly what it is. So but but
• 24:08
Speaker 3: I mean, I'm looking at this, you know, and I'm
• 24:10
Speaker 3: seeing and here's something that was that was brought out
• 24:13
Speaker 3: to me by some of my more right leaning conservative friends.
• 24:18
Speaker 3: They a couple of people have speculated this whole thing
• 24:21
Speaker 3: was just a work that that eventually that this is
• 24:26
Speaker 3: just to kind of get attention, to distract from other
• 24:28
Speaker 3: things and whatever, that there was never a rift between
• 24:31
Speaker 3: them and I had somebody text the the uh the
• 24:34
Speaker 3: Network show last week and say Trump was playing everybody.
• 24:37
Speaker 3: There is no feud or whatever. But here's what I
• 24:39
Speaker 3: would say to that, even Danny if it were, I mean,
• 24:43
Speaker 3: do we really need a president that is that that
• 24:46
Speaker 3: is doing things like this?
• 24:49
  Speaker 8: It's it's he's such a polarizing figure and he doesn't
• 24:56
Speaker 8: need any help. Yeah, So for some reason Elon Musk
• 25:03
Speaker 8: got upset. Maybe it's because that appointment he wanted. But
• 25:10
Speaker 8: Trump should have let it go and not competed. He
• 25:13
Speaker 8: made it a competition when he responded the very first time.
• 25:16
Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, and that's that's kind of the this OPERENDI
• 25:20
Speaker 3: for Donald Trump. If even as I said before, well
• 25:22
Speaker 3: before politics, he's a very competitive individual. He buy maybe
• 25:27
Speaker 3: even his own admission people close to him. He can
• 25:29
Speaker 3: be petty at times, very he doesn't he can't stand
• 25:32
Speaker 3: anybody he in his mind, getting the upper hand on him.
• 25:37
Speaker 3: But I don't know that he's ever met anybody quite
• 25:39
Speaker 3: like Elon Musk, you know, somebody that doesn't need his money,
• 25:43
Speaker 3: that's got more. He's the richest man on earth. I
• 25:47
Speaker 3: don't think that Trump, in my opinion, Danny has has
• 25:50
Speaker 3: encountered a lot of people like that.
• 25:52
Speaker 8: And President Trump has enough problems out there in Los Angeles.
• 25:56
Speaker 3: For instance, right, I mean in the moment, Yeah.
• 25:58
Speaker 8: He's got enough on his play. He doesn't need to
• 26:01
Speaker 8: be involved in a tit for tat for between he
• 26:05
Speaker 8: and the richest man on the planet.
• 26:07
  Speaker 3: All right, So you're a you're a California guy. Uh,
• 26:11
Speaker 3: you're taking what's going on right now Los Angeles.
• 26:13
Speaker 8: I'm an hour south of there, Okay, And it's it
• 26:20
Speaker 8: doesn't take too much social media to bring out a
• 26:23
Speaker 8: mob like that. I mean, I've seen in Long Beach.
• 26:26
Speaker 8: I've seen mobs turn out to protest Monsanto for instance.
• 26:32
Speaker 8: Uh that's been quite a few years ago. But it
• 26:37
Speaker 8: doesn't take much. And a lot of the the constituency
• 26:43
Speaker 8: is Mexican and most of those people are just hard
• 26:47
Speaker 8: working folks. They're they're not looking for any trouble, but
• 26:50
Speaker 8: there's enough of them, and there's enough white academics to
• 26:56
  Speaker 8: uh cause problems.
• 26:59
Speaker 3: Who's right and who's wrong here in the way that
• 27:01
Speaker 3: this is being handled. I'm not talking about the fact
• 27:04
Speaker 3: that the legal I'm talking about the way it's being handled.
• 27:08
Speaker 8: Your take on that, I don't think either of Maara.
• 27:11
Speaker 8: I think IS is a police agency and they should
• 27:15
Speaker 8: be accorded the respect of a police department, but they're not.
• 27:19
Speaker 3: But a lot of people I think have taken issue
• 27:21
Speaker 3: Danny with the fact that Governor Newsom being one the
• 27:24
Speaker 3: mayor of Los Angeles just.
• 27:26
Speaker 8: Trying to get in the middle of it, David. He
• 27:28
Speaker 8: just wants he just wants exposure. Yeah, I know, they
• 27:31
Speaker 8: want to just arrest me, just come get me.
• 27:34
Speaker 3: He's just which is what he wants. That's what he wants,
• 27:36
Speaker 3: what he wants. But but, but he and others have
• 27:39
Speaker 3: had issues with the fact that the President, I guess,
• 27:41
Speaker 3: mobilized and sent sent these people in without actually talking
• 27:46
  Speaker 3: to the governor.
• 27:47
Speaker 8: And what was the governor going to say, come on in?
• 27:50
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's a federal operation, right.
• 27:53
Speaker 8: He doesn't have to ask him. I've been around Newsom.
• 27:57
Speaker 8: I've been in the room with him in a table
• 27:59
Speaker 8: so much like this, And he stood right over here
• 28:03
Speaker 8: and he had his shirt his shirt unbuttoned right down
• 28:06
Speaker 8: to the middle of his chest with no T shirt.
• 28:09
Speaker 8: And there's a bunch of US mayors sitting around with
• 28:12
Speaker 8: coaching ties on. I was sitting in between the mayor
• 28:15
Speaker 8: of Charleston, South Carolina, and the mayor of Richmond, Virginia,
• 28:19
Speaker 8: and here he comes. He never looked at anybody. He
• 28:24
Speaker 8: looked straight ahead, you know, look at me. You know,
• 28:28
Speaker 8: I got no use for him. He shouldn't be the governor.
• 28:31
Speaker 3: Well, one of the things about Newsom is is that
• 28:34
Speaker 3: he's you know, there's always the talk he's going to
• 28:36
  Speaker 3: run for president.
• 28:37
Speaker 8: I mean, I'm sure he is.
• 28:38
Speaker 3: And no matter who the president, no matter who the
• 28:41
Speaker 3: Democrats put up, they're probably more likely going to get
• 28:43
Speaker 3: beat in twenty twenty eight.
• 28:44
  Speaker 8: I wouldn't say that.
• 28:45
Speaker 3: Okay, well, time will tell, but it would be Danny.
• 28:49
  Speaker 12: So.
• 28:50
Speaker 3: I mean, you talk about the impossible of impossibles, a
• 28:54
Speaker 3: Democrat governor from California being elected president of the United
• 28:57
Speaker 3: States in the president political climate.
• 28:59
Speaker 8: Yeah, if they would somehow put Josh Shapiro up, they'll
• 29:02
  Speaker 8: win the election.
• 29:04
  Speaker 3: I think.
• 29:04
  Speaker 12: So.
• 29:04
Speaker 8: I put big money on it. That's how strong I
• 29:07
  Speaker 8: think he is.
• 29:08
Speaker 3: We had a textas as Trump is escalating the situation
• 29:11
Speaker 3: by sending the military. Trump wants martial law, so he
• 29:14
Speaker 3: has complete control, and he's trying to agitate the protesters
• 29:17
Speaker 3: into giving him a reason.
• 29:18
  Speaker 8: I don't know if I agree with that, but he's
• 29:21
Speaker 8: allowed to send the National Guard. Eisenhower did it in
• 29:25
Speaker 8: Little Rock, President Kennedy did it in Birmingham, Alabama, and
• 29:31
  Speaker 8: sixty three. I mean, it's it's done. They don't like
• 29:36
Speaker 8: to do it, but it's done.

• 32:45
Speaker 8: Well, the point is I understand that that's not that's
• 32:48
Speaker 8: not news. But the point is the president is the
• 32:52
Speaker 8: commander in chief of all the national guard in every state.
• 32:57
Speaker 8: If he wants to assume that power, he can do it.
• 33:01
Speaker 3: All right. I want to move on to something else,
• 33:04
Speaker 3: and I want to bring up this with you. Has
• 33:06
Speaker 3: nothing to do with California or anything like that, or
• 33:08
Speaker 3: even Trump for that matter. A few entities Dandy did
• 33:11
Speaker 3: stories on this recently. The date was June sixth, nineteen
• 33:15
Speaker 3: seventy nine, when a cargo plane carrying around thirteen tons
• 33:19
Speaker 3: of pot crashed into what is now West Virginia International
• 33:24
Speaker 3: Jaeger Airport. You were around back then.
• 33:27
Speaker 8: I remember that morning. It was I was, you know
• 33:32
Speaker 8: where Rusty's Laws. This is Rusty Web. I had my
• 33:35
Speaker 8: restaurant in that building. It was the entire length of
• 33:38
Speaker 8: the building. It was probably one of the top two
• 33:40
Speaker 8: successes I ever had in my life. And we were
• 33:43
Speaker 8: busy all the time, and I would get up and
• 33:45
Speaker 8: go to work at three o'clock in the morning, and
• 33:47
Speaker 8: a lot of times I just take a taxi, you know.
• 33:50
Speaker 8: On that morning, I did take a taxi. So the
• 33:52
Speaker 8: taxi driver explained to me, you won't believe what happened
• 33:57
Speaker 8: that Ah, a plane went off the end of the
• 34:02
Speaker 8: runway and potts all down the mountain and it's it's
• 34:06
Speaker 8: on fire. The marijuana was on fire. And Hm, there
• 34:12
Speaker 8: were two deputies indicted over that, and John Jericho's listening.
• 34:18
Speaker 8: He represented one of them. He represented the older Chadwick
• 34:25
Speaker 8: his and his son was up there too, and supposedly
• 34:30
Speaker 8: their their job was to guard the rider trucks that
• 34:33
Speaker 8: was going to haul all of the of the pot
• 34:37
Speaker 8: and when the track when the plane crashed, Mark Chadwick
• 34:40
Speaker 8: took off from one of the riders. But he finally
• 34:46
Speaker 8: was acquitted. Mark Chadwick and the older Chadwick was acquitted
• 34:50
Speaker 8: in the main trial, and John Jericho was his lawyer.
• 34:53
Speaker 8: I'm not sure if that was the only Acquitdow it
• 34:55
Speaker 8: might have been. But on that morning, Uh, Wayne Bridge,
• 35:01
Speaker 8: we had a real zealot in the United Assistant United
• 35:05
Speaker 8: States turn in. He was a little bit over the top.
• 35:09
Speaker 8: Now he wasn't a little bit, he was a lot
• 35:10
Speaker 8: over the top. And uh he called Topiro and he said, Tim,
• 35:17
Speaker 8: we got to go out to the airport. So Japiro
• 35:22
Speaker 8: asked why, I said, well, there's a bunch of pot,
• 35:24
Speaker 8: you know, just one offside of the mountains. So Japiro
• 35:26
Speaker 8: said to him, it's only marijuana. Wayne. Like that. Well,
• 35:31
Speaker 8: I think they both ended up going out there, and
• 35:34
Speaker 8: Japiro was one of the prosecutors in the case, so
• 35:38
Speaker 8: it got around that Tim told Wayne it's only marijuana, Wayne.
• 35:44
Speaker 8: So when they came to trial, they all had buttons
• 35:47
Speaker 8: made it's only marijuana, Wayne. So all those defendants and
• 35:51
Speaker 8: their lawyers are wearing these buttons, you know, like campaign buttons,
• 35:55
Speaker 8: It's only marijuana, Wayne. And the trial was a bit
• 35:59
  Speaker 8: of a.
• 36:02
Speaker 3: How long was the trial? What was the difference between
• 36:04
Speaker 3: when this happened? How long did it take to get
• 36:06
Speaker 3: to try do you remember, Oh?
• 36:07
Speaker 8: I want to think it was eighty one, okay, or
• 36:10
Speaker 8: maybe eighty it was.
• 36:11
Speaker 3: It was a while, a year or so too, maybe
• 36:13
  Speaker 3: after at least.
• 36:15
  Speaker 12: And.
• 36:17
Speaker 8: Those guys not I don't remember too many of them
• 36:22
Speaker 8: getting too much time. And the thing was stopped in
• 36:27
Speaker 8: the middle because Dennis Knapp was a judge and he
• 36:30
Speaker 8: kind of lost control of the court room and he
• 36:34
Speaker 8: had either a heart attack or some type of ailment.
• 36:38
Speaker 8: So then Judge Copenhager had to come in and take
• 36:40
Speaker 8: over the trial in the middle of the trial, and
• 36:45
Speaker 8: I think everybody kind of straightened up then, but these
• 36:49
Speaker 8: it was like, I mean, these guys were really off
• 36:54
Speaker 8: the rails. He's defendants. They would tell there was a
• 36:59
Speaker 8: female us I'm gonna a fair name, but because it
• 37:01
Speaker 8: doesn't matter, oh she smells like that. They do stuff
• 37:08
Speaker 8: like that and just to try to disrupt the trial,
• 37:12
Speaker 8: and Nap kind of lost control of it. That's my memory.
• 37:17
Speaker 8: Tim de Pier was listening if you want to call in, So.
• 37:20
Speaker 3: What was the story here behind this? I mean, I mean,
• 37:22
Speaker 3: how does this happen? I mean, that's It's not like
• 37:25
Speaker 3: simple possession here. I mean it was the thirteen tons
• 37:28
Speaker 3: of pot. What's the what's the backstory? I mean, who
• 37:31
Speaker 3: who was involved? Where was it going? How did it
• 37:33
Speaker 3: get here? I mean I remember hearing the story, but
• 37:35
Speaker 3: I was a kid. I do remember watching it on television,
• 37:38
Speaker 3: the local news talking about it. But you were around there,
• 37:41
  Speaker 3: what's the story?
• 37:42
Speaker 8: The number here is three or four, three four five
• 37:44
Speaker 8: fifty eight fifty eight. Yeah, okay, three four five fifty
• 37:47
Speaker 8: eight fifty eight. It was Uh, it was just a
• 37:52
Speaker 8: drug run to bring some pot in here because there
• 37:54
Speaker 8: was a huge market for it, and the laws weren't
• 37:57
Speaker 8: as strict then. It wasn't until eighty six that we
• 38:01
Speaker 8: had the UH the Commission that strengthened all the dope
• 38:07
Speaker 8: lows and it, Like I said, the trial was a
• 38:13
Speaker 8: fiasco and those guys didn't get much time. I think
• 38:17
Speaker 8: it was all about the money and they had all
• 38:20
Speaker 8: that pot and they wanted to bring in here, put
• 38:22
Speaker 8: it in ride their trucks, Stewart somewhere, and then sell it.
• 38:27
Speaker 8: And they would have sold it because a lot of
• 38:28
Speaker 8: people smoke marijuana at that time. What was did ing
• 38:33
Speaker 8: Di Ding Ding Ding?
• 38:36
Speaker 3: By the way, we had a textures that I love.
• 38:38
Speaker 3: Listen to Danny. You're not bad either, Dave. I appreciate that. So,
• 38:43
Speaker 3: I mean, were there it was there any truth to
• 38:46
Speaker 3: the fact that organized crime was involved in this?
• 38:48
Speaker 8: I don't think so. I think, well, these were big
• 38:52
Speaker 8: drug runners, and I wouldn't say organized crime in the
• 38:57
Speaker 8: way we're thinking of the New York Five family, right.
• 39:00
Speaker 8: I mean there was a guy from from from Chile
• 39:04
  Speaker 8: or South America.
• 39:05
Speaker 3: Was gonna say, I thought there was a time. Okay,
• 39:08
Speaker 3: who do we have here?
• 39:09
  Speaker 8: Ryan?
• 39:09
  Speaker 3: Is this Tim?
• 39:12
  Speaker 8: With Tim?
• 39:13
  Speaker 12: All? Right?
• 39:13
Speaker 3: Tim Dapiro, You're on with the with Dave and Danny.
• 39:15
Speaker 3: Welcome to the show, sir, Thanks for calling in.
• 39:18
Speaker 12: Thanks, how y'all doing doing fine?
• 39:20
Speaker 3: Have you been listening to what Danny's been spending here
• 39:22
Speaker 3: and is it all true?
• 39:24
Speaker 12: Well, there's a few more facts it should be okay.
• 39:29
Speaker 12: Uh Wayne, Wayne woke me up in the middle of
• 39:31
Speaker 12: the night with the call and said that he was
• 39:33
Speaker 12: going at the state Police, the Dea Canells Sheriffs, Alston Police.
• 39:38
Speaker 12: He said, this's the marijuana. He didn't say port olover.
• 39:41
Speaker 12: I thought it was, you know, a little cesster with
• 39:43
Speaker 12: maybe a suitcase full.
• 39:44
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's what you think of.
• 39:46
Speaker 12: Yeah yeah. And so I mean, who's going to be
• 39:48
Speaker 12: flying a big old plane in there? So I thought
• 39:50
Speaker 12: it's only marijuana. Wayne, you know you all can take
• 39:52
Speaker 12: care of it. When when I woke up to the
• 39:54
Speaker 12: news that the DC six had uh crashed and spilled
• 40:00
Speaker 12: multiple times of marijuana, I called my buddy Frank Forgale
• 40:03
Speaker 12: and said, you know, I'm going to be in trouble
• 40:05
Speaker 12: when I get to the office for not going and uh,
• 40:08
Speaker 12: he's the one. He ended up representing one of the
• 40:10
Speaker 12: guys in the rider truck and he told all the
• 40:12
Speaker 12: defense lawyers about it. It's only marijuana, Wayne, And that's
• 40:16
Speaker 12: how the buttons got out. And I caught some heavy
• 40:21
Speaker 12: grief when I got in there. You know, the old
• 40:24
Speaker 12: let me tell you the rest of the story. Yes, yes,
• 40:26
Speaker 12: go ahead, let me tell you the rest of the story.
• 40:29
Speaker 12: You know. Of course, Bob King was the US attorney
• 40:31
Speaker 12: down federal judge. He was, he was all over me
• 40:34
Speaker 12: that day and and uh, but I ended up working
• 40:37
Speaker 12: the case. And turns out when Copenhager took over, there
• 40:41
Speaker 12: was a motion to dismiss the night because we had
• 40:43
Speaker 12: destroyed the plane and destroyed other evidence and all this
• 40:46
Speaker 12: kind of stuff. And uh, Compenhaier wanted just copnor wanted
• 40:51
Speaker 12: every piece that came off that mountain. And poor Wayne
• 40:55
Speaker 12: had saved U shark repellent in one of the bags
• 40:58
Speaker 12: that the marijuana was in, and he had it hanging
• 41:02
Speaker 12: in his office and he had to go testify. And
• 41:04
Speaker 12: so about a year after the trial, or six months
• 41:08
Speaker 12: after the trial, the d o J and the Farmer
• 41:10
Speaker 12: Justice put out a memo that said fellow prosecutes are
• 41:14
Speaker 12: not supposed to go to crime scenes because they can
• 41:16
Speaker 12: end up being witnesses in the case. So I proceeded
• 41:20
Speaker 12: to tell well, Bob King. Now, Judge King, I said, Bob,
• 41:23
Speaker 12: you thought I was just being lazy, not getting up
• 41:25
  Speaker 12: and going in. I said, I just I knew I
• 41:27
Speaker 12: could be a witness, and it was just not a
• 41:29
Speaker 12: smart thing to do. I was just being you know,
• 41:30
Speaker 12: I was just being you know, verty smart about it.
• 41:35
Speaker 12: Not really, that's the rest of the story.
• 41:37
Speaker 8: Hey, Tim, you just got a phone call just recently.
• 41:41
Speaker 8: Tell us tell us about.
• 41:42
Speaker 12: That, Okay, On June sixth, I got a call and
• 41:49
Speaker 12: it said happy June six. I said, what it is,
• 41:52
Speaker 12: Happy June six? I said, who is this? He said,
• 41:55
Speaker 12: Jerome Jerome lil Cherome Autumn Lil. I said, what do
• 41:59
Speaker 12: you do? And he said, well, forty six years ago.
• 42:02
Speaker 12: Oh gosh, you're crazy.
• 42:03
Speaker 8: He was one of those ten.
• 42:05
Speaker 12: Times he was. He kind of masterminded this thing.
• 42:08
Speaker 3: Well, I mean didn't sound like he had a very
• 42:09
Speaker 3: good job of it. To be honest with you, Tom,
• 42:11
Speaker 3: he tried to mastermind it. He tried to mastermind it.
• 42:14
Speaker 3: I don't know that he did a very good job.
• 42:16
Speaker 12: No, he did do a great job. Well, he blames
• 42:19
Speaker 12: he blames one of the guys for messing up the breaks.
• 42:22
Speaker 12: He did something on the plane that messed up the breaks,
• 42:24
Speaker 12: and otherwise they would have they would have pulled it off,
• 42:26
Speaker 12: and they probably would have. But long story short, is
• 42:29
Speaker 12: he just he has got religion, seriously, wrote a book
• 42:34
Speaker 12: his experience, and has a brother's sick and he does
• 42:38
Speaker 12: things to kind of help with that. I forget the
• 42:42
Speaker 12: kind of illness he has, but he's, uh, he's been redeemed. Well.
• 42:46
Speaker 12: You all, I just appreciate it.
• 42:48
Speaker 8: You all had a meeting that took place in my restaurant,
• 42:51
Speaker 8: and all the players, including rosal Lee Earl who worked
• 42:55
Speaker 8: for the gazette. I don't know if Patty Vandergriff was there,
• 42:59
Speaker 8: but all the player there.
• 43:01
  Speaker 12: She loved it.
• 43:02
Speaker 3: She joined, you had a had.
• 43:04
Speaker 8: Kind of a reunion in my restaurant, right, That's exactly right.
• 43:09
Speaker 8: And Jerome was there.
• 43:11
Speaker 12: They oh yeah, they tried. They tried us more than
• 43:14
Speaker 12: we tried. That. It seemed like these lawyers just kind
• 43:16
Speaker 12: of who washed in from all over the country who
• 43:19
Speaker 12: were just ready. I guess we're just ready for calls
• 43:21
Speaker 12: for these guys. So it was. It was quite an
• 43:24
  Speaker 12: experience I learned. I learned a whole lot in a
• 43:28
Speaker 12: one year's time being in the courtroom. It's amazing.
• 43:31
Speaker 3: Hey, hey, Tim, we got to take the break here,
• 43:34
Speaker 3: but I do want to ask you in thirty seconds
• 43:36
Speaker 3: what happened to all the pot?
• 43:41
Speaker 12: Well, we started burning it and it was a bad
• 43:45
Speaker 12: It didn't look good because too many cops from up
• 43:47
Speaker 12: there burning and laughing and cutting up and getting hungry.
• 43:50
  Speaker 3: I had, I had John.
• 43:53
Speaker 12: So they decided to put paraquad on it and bury
• 43:56
Speaker 12: it and said, look, it's really dangerous. So they buried
• 43:58
Speaker 12: it all and then you know, it was like a
• 44:00
Speaker 12: bunch of hobbits for the next few days. Dig it. Yeah.
• 44:04
Speaker 3: I had a former sheriff of Rutherford on the show
• 44:07
Speaker 3: and he just was talking about it one day and
• 44:09
Speaker 3: he said something to the effective. He said, we had
• 44:11
Speaker 3: cops from everywhere. Man, they had guys from Minnesota, you know,
• 44:14
Speaker 3: callin us and say can we come down and help
• 44:18
Speaker 3: a Tim. I appreciate your insights of calling us up today.
• 44:21
Speaker 3: It's good stuff, man, I appreciate you.

• 47:35
Speaker 3: let me knock out a couple of texts. They're not
• 47:36
Speaker 3: related to Pott. Text says how times have changed? Remember
• 47:40
Speaker 3: Clinton and Reno having a swat team hold a gun
• 47:43
Speaker 3: on a family member hiding the Ilian Gonzales in a
• 47:45
Speaker 3: closet trying to avoid avoid deportation. What part of illegal
• 47:49
Speaker 3: alien is hard to comprehend. Trump is doing exactly what
• 47:53
Speaker 3: millions of US voted for him to do. Look at
• 47:55
Speaker 3: the latest poll as numbers have gone up since Holman
• 47:58
Speaker 3: and Ice started rounding people.
• 48:00
Speaker 8: I take exception at both of those. But Ili and
• 48:03
Speaker 8: Gonzalez was his father was in Cuba, so he had
• 48:10
Speaker 8: rights to his son. That's what that was all.
• 48:12
  Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, I think that's right.
• 48:14
Speaker 8: And even though I don't want to see the little
• 48:16
Speaker 8: boy go to communism, I mean, that was his dad
• 48:19
Speaker 8: and he wanted him back and he should have him.
• 48:22
Speaker 3: Texas many are conveniently ignoring the mask Marxist thugs who
• 48:26
Speaker 3: are hurling small boulders off a highway overpass on the
• 48:29
Speaker 3: LAPD cars below. Any calls for attempted murder charges for them.
• 48:34
Speaker 8: Well, I'm not in the middle of it. I don't know,
• 48:37
Speaker 8: and uh, you know, it's it's always been like that
• 48:41
Speaker 8: out there, and uh, I mean kind of like the
• 48:44
Speaker 8: Rodney King riots and stuff like that. It's just just
• 48:47
Speaker 8: kind of sad. What's said about it is the entire
• 48:50
Speaker 8: state of California takes the brunt and now where I am,
• 48:55
Speaker 8: which is now our south, that you don't see anything
• 48:57
Speaker 8: like that, any any violence or it's it's really nice.
• 49:02
Speaker 3: Texas, Dave, let Danny know that the people have a
• 49:04
Speaker 3: right to form a militia and stand against government overreach
• 49:07
Speaker 3: against the people constitutions still stands.
• 49:10
Speaker 8: Uh, I'm not even gonna touch that.
• 49:14
Speaker 3: Tex says, I was in college at WVU at that time.
• 49:16
Speaker 3: Going back to the pot plane of seventy nine, there
• 49:19
Speaker 3: were always rumors that the pot in town was airplane pot.
• 49:24
  Speaker 8: I don't, I don't. I don't think so.
• 49:28
Speaker 3: Well they I mean, you know, the your your buddy there,
• 49:31
Speaker 3: mister Tapiro said that that they burned it so well.
• 49:35
Speaker 8: But there was marijuana in the early seventies around here,
• 49:39
Speaker 8: really and I can attest to that. And it didn't
• 49:44
Speaker 8: come off any airplane. It was bought in here by
• 49:46
  Speaker 8: people texts.
• 49:48
Speaker 3: Going back to Los Angeles police chief says they will
• 49:52
Speaker 3: review video evidence after the situations under control and will
• 49:55
Speaker 3: seek charges to the max that the law will allow.
• 49:59
  Speaker 8: I don't, I don't think they'll find juris to convict
• 50:01
  Speaker 8: anybody Texas.
• 50:03
Speaker 3: There's people in Los Angeles are peacefully protesting, just like
• 50:05
Speaker 3: the January sixth protesters. And I think that's a little
• 50:09
Speaker 3: sarcasm was in January and the text is right, by
• 50:12
  Speaker 3: the way.
• 50:13
Speaker 8: The January sixth wasn't peaceful, and neither's this.
• 50:17
Speaker 3: Oh, but you can't say that because and I was
• 50:19
Speaker 3: alluding to what TJ had posted earlier that somebody in
• 50:24
Speaker 3: that I said something about January sixth, what sort of
• 50:26
Speaker 3: the whole thing? I said kind of like January sixth,
• 50:28
Speaker 3: And they said, well, and then they go and all
• 50:30
Speaker 3: these conspiracy theories that that that was mainly done by
• 50:34
Speaker 3: Capitol police. And but the thing about it is, and
• 50:39
Speaker 3: since in having this argument one simple you know, five
• 50:42
Speaker 3: or six words, it never would have happened if Trump
• 50:43
Speaker 3: would have said something.
• 50:44
Speaker 8: Watch day five of the January sixth hearing, and it
• 50:48
Speaker 8: deals with the vice president, vice President pens and his staff.
• 50:52
Speaker 8: If you think it was peaceful, he almost lost his life. Okay,
• 50:57
Speaker 8: he was forty feet away from death.
• 50:59
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 51:00
Speaker 8: If there was a hero that day or he was
• 51:02
  Speaker 8: one of them.
• 51:03
Speaker 3: And I think it says something about Pence too. I
• 51:05
Speaker 3: saw an interview with him a set down interview a
• 51:07
Speaker 3: couple of weeks ago, and one of the Sunday news
• 51:09
Speaker 3: shows it says something about Pence that he's forgiven everybody.
• 51:13
Speaker 8: Well, that's his style.
• 51:14
  Speaker 3: I mean, that's that's what Christians do.
• 51:17
Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, he was running down those steps and
• 51:19
Speaker 8: they got security in the basement. Of course, they broke
• 51:22
Speaker 8: out their bibles. Everybody started praying, and when he was
• 51:26
Speaker 8: they had a car to take him away from the Capitol,
• 51:29
Speaker 8: and he refused to get in it, and he said,
• 51:32
  Speaker 8: I don't want the optic to be that there's what's
• 51:37
Speaker 8: going on inside and the vice president who's supposed to
• 51:41
Speaker 8: preside over Congress is fleeing the Capitol, so he wouldn't leave.
• 51:46
  Speaker 3: I think that's very commendable.
• 51:48
Speaker 8: I think if he's the man.
• 51:50
Speaker 3: All right, final minute or so of the show, actually
• 51:53
Speaker 3: final thirty to forty five seconds, what do you think
• 51:55
Speaker 3: happens in Los Angeles at this point?
• 51:57
  Speaker 12: How?
• 51:57
Speaker 3: I mean, does this further escalator?
• 52:00
Speaker 8: I think as long as Ice is there and they're
• 52:01
Speaker 8: arresting people, I think they'll they'll be relistened.
• 52:04
Speaker 3: All right, Darren, It's always a pleasure to have you
