- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: Let me just situate it here.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: Did you test the audio?
- 0:15[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sure it's good.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: You sure?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, it's, I've been doing this for years now.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_04]: So when I set it up, I was good at writing.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, well.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_04]: I wish you guys could see, could see the vibes we're in right now.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I feel like we should do the video like this.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: Hope it you all.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_04]: I think I don't want to do this.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know why I think we make it like a little bit more um I don't know what you call it like not not intense but I feel like one word when we're doing the Patreon like when we're recording with video.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_04]: Now it's like because we have to do the whole setup, but then we also have like this bright-ass light that's on right.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: That is true.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: that right now right now we don't have it on because we're not using no right now if you guys could see the scene it's very like so we have the lights that are pretty dimmed right now yeah and for some reason it makes me feel like I need a glass of wine
- 1:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you know, it was like should I have a glass of wine?
- 1:27[SPEAKER_04]: Would we didn't have wine?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: And if I ever have a glass of wine while making a podcast episode, I feel like it's going to be like a three hour podcast episode.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, easily.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_04]: It would just be like us sitting here and talking.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: So we have the AC blasting because maybe I think subconsciously we're ready for fall.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that's what it is.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we got the blanket.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: We got the big blanket on us.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_04]: We only brought over the blanket from our bed, the duvet.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_04]: Like, the duvet that you sleep with.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: I went to the room and I was just like, you know what?
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: Let's.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: This is really get cozy.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's also because I put on, I got this hoodie that I've been wanting to get since last fall, or last winter, but I just, in a slightly special hoodie.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_04]: It's just like a basic.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_04]: It's a gray hoodie from Orbitsia.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's I think the mega, the mega hoodie.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_04]: That's what it's called.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they have a bunch of different styles.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: What is it called the mega hoodie?
- 2:28[SPEAKER_04]: Because it's like so oversized.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_04]: And I've been wanting to get this hoodie since last like cold season, but I was like, you know what?
- 2:37[SPEAKER_04]: It's about to be warm.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm not going to, I'm not going to get that going to wait until the next.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_04]: Like if I still want it come fall winter, twenty twenty five, then I'm going to get it.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_04]: You know, sometimes it's good to like sleep on things.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_04]: Things that you want to buy.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like if you give yourself a good amount of time from when you find it to see if you're still thinking about it.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, to me, I don't even need that much time.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: If I go to a store and I see something and I know I want it,
- 3:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but I'm talking about usually things that are not cheap, like, more expensive.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, even that, like, if I know I want it, I don't know if I think about it the next day.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's what I'm saying.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_04]: Even giving it one day is giving it time.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because a lot of times this happened to me so many times.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: I go to the store and it's something that's maybe, I don't even know.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't even have a bad, like, expensive things like that, especially clothing.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: But if I do see something that's like a little bit more expensive than my usual budget.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like I will get it right there and then, but then always regret it.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: But it's time I get home and try it on because you know what I do.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: When I get something, I try it on at home.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: Even if I try it at the store, let's say it's a piece of clothing, like a pants, for example.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: I tried out the store.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's good.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's perfect.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: I get home.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I didn't have the proper shoes that day.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: So like I'm trying that at the store, but it's not really with the type of shoes I would do it.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: Because I didn't know I was gonna find that thing that day.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I just have random ass shoes and I'm trying those pants.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: So then when I get home, I try it on with the perfect pant.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: I ain't with the perfect ass shoes.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_04]: Are you talking new clothes or vintage?
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_04]: It does.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter because when I go, I don't.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't specifically go shopping, but whenever I do and I find something that I wasn't expecting to find, I might have some random asshoes that don't even... Okay, you're really about the shoes.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: Huh?
- 4:37[SPEAKER_04]: You're really about like the shoes is like a thing.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: No, because especially for pants, you gotta see how it's going to fall on the pants.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_04]: But when do you ever wear shoes that you don't wear all the time?
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like... Is that... I don't know how to answer that.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_04]: Like I'm saying, don't you literally wear the same three-prison shoes on rotation?
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: But let's say that they have no word.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_04]: That day you ran and we were like, let me let me wear my covers.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean that happens.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_04]: But that doesn't happen.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_04]: That I feel like that doesn't happen.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: That can I just tell you my story.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm listening.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: That actually happens.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm living on I know what happens and what doesn't that's what I'm saying.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not saying it didn't happen.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just saying I feel like it doesn't happen that often.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, but I hear you with the shoes.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: But people want to hear the rest of them.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_04]: Or sometimes it's like, oh, this could work only if I had like, desktop a shirt on.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: So anyways, when you're out shopping around, you find something, you may not have all the pieces that's going to make the fit look like you want it to fit.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: So when you get home, you try it on and you put the fits together.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but the problem is that if you're vintage or thrift shopping, you can't return it.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_04]: So whether or not
- 5:51[SPEAKER_04]: you try that home, idiot, what it is.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_04]: It is what it is.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_04]: You cannot, even if you don't look good, you can return it.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_04]: So that's why when I asked earlier.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: So wait, are we like, are we not agreed on something or...
- 6:03[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't agree where you think that if you are shopping new clothes and shopping vintage clothes is the same level of like commitment debate because we started off talking about this because I said it's good to give a piece of clothing or a purchase time.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_04]: Like if you know you want this like pair of earrings that are like really nice, but they're expensive.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_04]: right but they're from like not a vintage shop so they will have like several pairs of them then you can give yourself the breathing room right because it's not a one-a-one that I want of one but if you go to a vintage store and you see like a bracelet that you really like you're like oh my gosh it's so good you know there's only one of them and you also know that if you pass it right now and let's say you tell yourself like
- 6:58[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm gonna see if I'm still thinking about it tomorrow.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna sleep on it.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_04]: Even if you wake up the next day and you're like, actually, that bracelet I'm still thinking about.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_04]: I really want to get it.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_04]: So you go to the store, you get it.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_04]: It might not be there.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_04]: So deciding to let something go is different than if it's like a new piece of clothing.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_04]: With a new piece of clothing, you can definitely give it some breathing room because it will still be there.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: It might sell out in your size.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_04]: She'll like the other pinning on like what store it is.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_04]: The bigger the store that easier it is to like give it time.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: With vintage, yeah, you can be the way.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know what you should do?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_04]: What?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: To happen, so you just hide the bracelet somewhere in the store.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_04]: Nah, the vintage shops I go to is like, we're going to hide that shit.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Take the bracelet.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: I put it in the bathroom.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, like put it in the dressing room under the chair.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_04]: No, they're going to think I split shit.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_04]: And also, what would I take a bracelet in the dressing room?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: to try it on with the whole face.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_04]: No, that's great.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: Put it under the mat somewhere, under a rug.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_04]: You can definitely try to do that with like, no, don't do that.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: A bag.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_04]: No, with the bag, you could like put it in the back behind the other bag.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you know what I used to do with t-shirts.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: I used to take one t-shirts from one section.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, and like makes it with something random.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: It makes it in a like I used to take it to the other side of the store.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_04]: That's a really good idea to take like a t-shirt out of or whatever like piece of clothing and put it in like completely the wrong like an overlooked area of the thrift.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: There's always that area.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I did?
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: I used to always put it between hoodies.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: So you're not even in a t-shirt section anymore.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: So like if someone is looking for a hoodie and they might see that shirt there.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: They're already looking for a hoodie.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Why is this shirt here?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't need a shirt.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_04]: You're not wrong.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_04]: And also seeing it by itself is kind of like, man, someone got to put this back.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_04]: They're not even thinking that like, oh, is this nice?
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Because I mean first of what you're looking for.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_04]: I recently went to the vintage store and I got a bracelet that was like an investment type of piece.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_04]: You know, it wasn't like thousands of dollars or anything, but you know.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, sorry.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_04]: Am I talking too quiet?
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: You're talking.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a you're talking under.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like because you got you got you got you see how we're lit.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like we're almost we're not laying down but like we're on the couch.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: I was laying down.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, so I'm just trying to make sure that you're not talking like, like, just like you're not to fall asleep.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, I am not going to lie when you only brought the blanket over here.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, damn, I'm not fall asleep when we record because you don't know something about this blanket that we have.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_04]: It's so soft and it has this like linen.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: I love a linen sheet.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: So you were saying right?
- 9:52[SPEAKER_04]: I was saying yeah, so I was with my friend Brenda when she was in town.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_04]: We went to like a bunch of these vintage shops and went into one and I found this bracelet that I really liked and it was very and that's the cool thing about vintage stuff.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_04]: It's like it's unique, you know, it's one of one.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_04]: Like obviously there are more in the world, but God knows where, you know?
- 10:09[SPEAKER_04]: and they're always like more unique and made with like good materials and unique shapes that maybe we're not doing anymore, but are coming back.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Even with shirts and pants, I mean, that's what like buying stuff that's already, I don't love buying new clothes.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_04]: I think there's a place for both.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: We know why because anything you get at the thrift shop or if you go to any of those like older stores, right?
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's so cool to see someone with a t-shirt and even if you ask them, hey, what did you get that shirt or whatever, right?
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: They might tell where the guy there from, but you can't find the shirt, you can't find it.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's like a shirt from the nineties and I found it at the thrift shop somewhere.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's no way you can get that shirt.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: But if it's like a shirt from let's just say urban outfiters, you can get a million of those shirts.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: And there's something that's like, you know, nothing against Urban Outfitters, you know, but I actually never seen Urban Outfitters in New York.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't seen one.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_04]: No, there's definitely one.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_04]: What a hundred percent, yeah.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of initiato.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_04]: There's definitely, yeah, there are actually a lot of them in Seattle.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the cool thing about thrifting, I think, is that, you know, it's just one of one.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm saying.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: I've been really um... So like I wanted to like if you're listening to this, are you like a... Do you guys buy new clothes?
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: Or do you like thrift shopping?
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like thrifting more?
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to everyone who's listening to this and goes to the thrift shop.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Not every week.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Just regularly.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: Just do what?
- 11:46[SPEAKER_04]: It was a month.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, anytime you want new clothes, you hand the thrift shops.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_04]: I just think it depends on what you're looking for.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_04]: Like, there's certain things that I feel like I would buy new versus turf shot.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, what is an item that you're okay buying thrifted?
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: And what is something?
- 12:06[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, let's start with that.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_04]: Let's start with the first one.
- 12:08[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: Let me start.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_04]: Did you not ask me?
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, go ahead.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_04]: Graphic T's.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: Graphic T's.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_04]: One hundred percent only vintage.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not buying a fake new graphic T from Urban Outfitters.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: If you work out Urban Outfitters, we love you.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: Are you to go to the store lines?
- 12:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_04]: Me too.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: Urban Outfitters was like, no, but now I thought they have shit.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like, everyone wants to do what they're going to have some shoes on.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_04]: Honestly, anytime I go on their website now, I can't like shop on their business.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: You go on their website.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_04]: So much stuff.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like I will randomly maybe like a creator.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_04]: I'm looking at they linked something.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_04]: They're like, oh, use a link to like my shirt or something.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_04]: And I like that shirt.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_04]: So I click on it.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_04]: And then I'm like, Oh, shit.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_04]: Like, people shop at Urban Officers.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_04]: Let me look.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_04]: And I look for a little bit.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just like, I can't look.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: Why not?
- 13:02[SPEAKER_04]: Because it's such a mixmosh of like, they style.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: They make.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like these graphic teas that look vintage, but they're now vintage too.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_04]: Like there's no, no, no, no, no.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: They don't actually feel vintage.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: If you ever had a real vintage tea, I'm telling you right now.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I haven't been in a long time, so maybe they upgraded their system.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_04]: I'm telling you right now that you could find, because that's the beauty of it, because everybody can tell like it's vintage, like it's not.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_04]: It's not just about looking vintage.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_04]: It's also just about the material feeling vintage.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_04]: It's the way that it falls on the bottom.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: There's no way that it's telling you.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_04]: You know, that green shirt you love that says, what does it say on it?
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: Pencil collar with the number nine in the bag.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_04]: Pencil collar, right?
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to everybody from Pencil collar, if you listen to.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_04]: Where is that?
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: You'd love to ask these questions that'll put me on a spot and have this sad don't know but I think it's in Florida.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, why don't know either?
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: We know you're weird.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, if it's not here, I think it's in Florida.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so just don't ask for these separate questions.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_04]: It sounds like a place that could be like in Arizona.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: okay my god y'all hold on it's like I got to make sure now make sure it's in Florida yeah it isn't Florida but damn like let's not do this live on the part okay because now someone's listening like y'all that shit is not in Florida damn amazing it's a cola United States geography sorry I had to speak it into what did you just yell at
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yeah, it's a city in Florida.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: Damn.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_04]: Good job, dude.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: No, it wasn't you, but to say I had a good job, I just wanted to make sure, since you put me on a spot.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: Where is that?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_04]: I guess not Arizona, man.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, what were we just saying?
- 14:47[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry, we keep getting it.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, you're talking about, like, how the shirts feel.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, and I feel like, at Urban Officers, they could manipulate, like, the material, the fabric to feel like that green shirt.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_04]: I'm telling you.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_04]: I am I'm not a fan of yeah, but I'm just saying not a fan of that so the funny thing is though a shirt like that will be like fifty sixty seven dollars yeah go to a vintage shop sift through those those racks at the graphic tease and I'm not gonna lie like it takes some some some dedication
- 15:26[SPEAKER_04]: some dedication it takes some time because there's a lot of graphic teas random ones that's like what even is this like is it weird if I wear this no but those are the cool ones no no I'm talking about more like there's some outdated sort of like you know things that sometimes I don't know if it's appropriate for me to wear a shirt that says this I don't think about that stuff
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well like what's a what's not appropriate for you to wear?
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean like it's a graphic tea with like what's on?
- 15:54[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know like what's on it is like weird I can't even example it's been a few times where I was just like I don't know where should wear this
- 16:02[SPEAKER_04]: Like as like a white girl in America, you know, it might be like a white shirt that is like.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well, like a two-pack graphic tea.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: I can be here or something like that.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_04]: I can give you an example right now.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_04]: Truly can.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_04]: But graphic teas is my answer for that question.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_04]: What you would only thrift at the thrift store?
- 16:22[SPEAKER_04]: Graphic tea.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_04]: Like I would never buy a new graphic tea.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_04]: Makes no sense.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's fair.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_04]: Now, what would be something that you would specifically only thrift?
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: Only thrift I would let's see.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_04]: We gotta do one item at a time.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_04]: One item group.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: I love pets.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_04]: What?
- 16:42[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, more specific.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_04]: Like jeans or like pants.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: It could be dickies.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, like canvas to like trousers.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like work pants.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, like car hard.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, car go exactly give me a good beat up nicely fitted thirty four thirty four car work pain.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm good with that.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know what like what a simple t-shirt.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_04]: Okay keywords.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, what do you mean keywords?
- 17:09[SPEAKER_04]: That's like keywords that you only puts into like I don't know.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_04]: What's like a store online?
- 17:14[SPEAKER_04]: Grails grails.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's an apia, that's where I get like a lot of my- Yeah, or like deep pop.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_04]: You don't use deep pop that much.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: I actually have a deep pop myself that I just listed some shoes today.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: The new Solomon and John collab collab.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: What did I say, John?
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's a collab.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I should have sold out the same morning today, which is crazy.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_04]: I don't subscribe to that type of thing.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was, well, I can't.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: So, car hard pants.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: I used to really be, I used to really be in today.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: Now, maybe a little bit less.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: I like more like denim jeans.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now, and I'm not going like my favorite ones are the diesel denim jeans.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: Which are new, which aren't new, but they fit so nicely.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_04]: and see those are made to fit the image.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: kinder, but they're just, they, those are my favorite jeans right now.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to know exactly what pair I'm talking about is the diesel, the, um, Marco.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: Marco.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: Where's the game macro?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_04]: The macro sounds more, Marco.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: The macro.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: The macro.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: So the macro, um, you have the black.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: I have the black.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: I have like, you have the blue ones.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they're really good.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you literally, that's like, that's all you were.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: So if you ever see me with denim jeans, there, those are one of those pairs.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then other than that, like, I love the decays.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: I love us still have like my like vintage, like, car hard beat up pants.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: There's a one that I found in Seattle, the one with the paint splashes on it.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, that covers the holes.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: it's so crazy also the way you found like we weren't on the way out of a store called the the freema vintage mall freema vintage mall which you go there for clothes you go there for like how the like no there's a lot of jewelry and there's a lot of clothes to don't sleep on the clothes but like I don't know for some reason I never found some okay so if you ever if you live in Seattle go to the freema vintage mall and that's what I found
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: Probably like my top three or top four favorite pants.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: They're like this super beat up black.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: Call her jeans.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_04]: But they have like the the knee.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: There's like a knee patch and all the patches are like black.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like a black home black with like a white patch everywhere.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's so good.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like whatever it is.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, not a lot of rips.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_04]: No, like sorry, sorry, sorry.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_04]: Not rips.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_04]: Um, not rips like holes.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_04]: I'm thinking like the material of the patches like there's like there's like strings.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: No, it doesn't sound like there's not a lot of strings.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_04]: No, it's not a thread.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, okay.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so we were on the way out like we were done.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't find anything.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we were like walking out to the stairs.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, out to the stair to go outside and there was one more rack that I didn't look at.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_04]: No, it was just like kind of on the way.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: It was kind of just like whatever.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like one of those racks that you just look at the first thing that didn't really.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: But at that section.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: Damn.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: that didn't really represent that rag properly, right?
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I was on a way out in the first thing I saw was like a fur jacket or something.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_04]: And like this rag is short too, so it has like random assortments.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really have like maybe four things like five, seven, max ten things on it.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_04]: Four, five, seven, ten?
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I was like, you know what, let me just look at it and I go.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: And the first thing I picked up was the pants.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: I picked it up.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: I looked at it in my head.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I have this ability to like know if something's going to fit me perfectly or not.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_04]: I think with time, like I also, mostly the time I'm able to like, I can just tell by the like looking at how big it is.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_04]: Like when you just hold it.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_04]: Whether it's going to be too small or too big.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I grabbed it and I look at the, I look at the, uh, at the size.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: And it says, thirty four or maybe thirty three year.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's the waist.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_04]: And with men's clothes.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, this is perfect.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: I want I tried it on, didn't I?
- 21:28[SPEAKER_04]: I don't remember.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: I went home with it.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_04]: I can't remember.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, those fit perfectly.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I get so lucky we pants.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: I get so lucky.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it's because it's like a common size.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_04]: I remember there was this time when we went to the vintage store and I from one go to the vintage shop and there's no specific mission.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes sometimes I'd be like, okay, I'm looking for like
- 21:55[SPEAKER_04]: a t-shirt or like I'm looking for jewelry or like scarves or something like I have a specific item but I also very often just go to browse and like I find what I find but there's this time that we weren't Seattle and Yoni went to we were going to I think we're going to goodwill
- 22:17[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even think we were going to like, like, you know, kind of like, maybe York.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_04]: There's a lot of curated vintage and stuff.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_04]: Do we were going to, like, good will salvation army, something like that?
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: And oh, salvation army.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: No, you was, what's the other one called?
- 22:32[SPEAKER_04]: But I think, what was, oh, I'm thinking about different times.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_04]: Anyways, as well, those big stores.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_04]: And you only was like, okay, I'm specifically looking for a pair of vintage Levi's.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_04]: And you guys, he found the most perfect pair of vintage Levi's in his size and his length.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: He was the Levi's either five, fifty or five, sixty.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_04]: But I was like, this is incredible because I have never in my life gone to the thrift store with such a specific want and then found it and it fit and it was in good condition and it was cheap.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_04]: Come on.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, I think, honestly, for women, I think it's very different than for men like with what else is just, you just have to worry about the way size and that's it.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_04]: And the length.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: And the length, yes.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_04]: And also just men's bodies, I feel like in general, just
- 23:34[SPEAKER_04]: don't vary as much in terms of shape.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_04]: Like a most men, I feel like are just more straight.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_04]: So they will like fit things better.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_04]: First that with women is like, you can have like a bigger butt but smaller legs, or you can get, you can have like a small waist and big legs and big butt.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_04]: variations, you know, and I think because of that it's like the way pants fit.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's like maybe they were intended to be tight on the legs and on the butt, but then you don't have a big butt or big legs.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_04]: So then it's like looser, too.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't look right.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a lot of different body shapes and everybody, I'm sure.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's something that I, when I look for pants, I just look at the waist size and that's how I feel like I also get so lucky because it's like there's none, there's not a lot of variety of different type of pants.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like usually it's like, I can fit.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't like skinny jeans.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like skinny girls because they just feel like I'm tall and long legs with skinny jeans just looks, I used to wear a skinny jeans.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_04]: I was gonna say I've never seen you wear skinny jeans and I think you would be hilarious.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I used to wear skinny jeans in two thousand and like ten, eleven, twelve during the jerk era.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_04]: We should go to the thrift store one day.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you whispering?
- 25:08[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: Go ahead.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_04]: People can still hear me?
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: No, you just got to, we should go to the thrift store.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_04]: Look, I'm not talking back quietly.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_04]: I just think it would be funny if we went to the thrift store and you tried on a pair of skinny skinny jeans.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: No, why would I do that?
- 25:25[SPEAKER_04]: I think it would just be hilarious because I've never seen you.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_04]: Like, you've seen me wear skinny jeans.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_04]: at one time.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't more than one time.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_04]: Excuse me, he was not.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_00]: She used to have a name.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: Where do you mean jeans with rips on the knee?
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but you didn't know.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_04]: You didn't know me then.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so I still saw it.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_04]: You saw it like a photo of the town that does not count at all.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so what is a piece of clothing that you only buy new?
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: On the where?
- 25:59[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_04]: Doesn't count.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: On the word in socks.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you drift underwear.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, you can drift underwear.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_04]: That's crazy.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no shoes.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think one time I bought like used shoes.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the number four.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_04]: Well, where do you remember?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the word is like fake Jordans.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_04]: Oh.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I sold them.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: Cause they were fake.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: My friend told me, Yo, I don't think this is real.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought there were real when I bought them.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_04]: But I remember it didn't you say you were like, oh yeah, they were so cheap.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_04]: That guy.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, they were so cheap.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_04]: It was like, you thought the guy that was selling it didn't know what he was selling, right?
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, okay, here's the story.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: Damn.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: I was looking for shoes.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, you know, let me go and offer up.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_04]: If you don't know offer up is like it's like it's like Facebook marketplace, but just a different app.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_04]: And you sell everything.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: You can sell anything on offer up.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I was like, you know what, it'd be fine.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: Go hit the actual stores.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Let me just look on the app.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I type in like I wanted to find some like some used Jordan ones.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: That was the solution to this Jordan one put that shit on Google.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: You see exactly what that is if you don't already.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I found some shit for like a hundred dollars.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh, blue and white, I never seen that color way before.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: Sam, like, so I'm thinking, this person doesn't know what they got.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this person doesn't know what they got.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_04]: It's something.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's something I know.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: This is still, let me get that.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I message the person and say, hey, hundred dollars.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: He said, yes, meet me at Dunkin Donuts parking lot.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, cool.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, okay, and this was on Aurora in Seattle.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: If you notice to Aurora, you know what happens over there.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I go wasn't too far from where we used to live at the time.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, oh my God, this person has no idea what they're selling.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: They look so good on the pictures.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I go, I meet the guy, no, first I mean the parking lot and I have no idea what this person looks like because on the profile picture it wasn't him.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know, it's always weird to go meet somebody but you don't know who they are.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean for like those types of things, you never know really what the person's gonna do.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: You never know, so I go there and you know, I parked and then I'm just at the parking lot, dunking donuts on Aurora, if you're leaving Seattle, that's the one.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: There's only one.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm waiting.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking around and I don't see anybody that has any shoes.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: There's a few people.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mind you.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: Now it's almost like sunset air sunset time.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: A little bit past sunset.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I started to be a little dark outside.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm looking around.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: There's a few people.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_04]: Are you like in a car?
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: Are you like, I was, I was, well, I was outside, stepped outside.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_04]: And you're just standing.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just standing.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: So I hit the person.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_04]: And this was like outside of Duncan donuts.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: Duncan, don't let's yes.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: Well, like crispy cream.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_00]: One of the two.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, damn.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_04]: Like, yeah, there's a crispy cream.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: So crispy cream.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_04]: No, I would be one of those right now.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm waiting as a few people there.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: There's a gas standing there, but he doesn't have any shoes and doesn't look like he should have any.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he doesn't look like he was like holding anything.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: Holding anything.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: So then I'm like, hey, man, I'm here.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm waiting for a little bit.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, like you text it.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, text the thing.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then he's like, I'm here too.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_04]: Oh.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, so I look at the only person that was also there.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I look at him and he might head on like, oh no.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: Oh no.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: So the he looks at me.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, hey man.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: So he has a backpack.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: Takes it off his back and starts to open it.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of sketchy a little bit and that guy was also a little sketchy.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, I don't mean to like judge, but he, you can, if you're on, if you know Aurora and Seattle, you know who looks sketchy and who doesn't, okay?
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: So this is not even me judging, you just see is what it is.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: put hip with one hand in the bag and you know I was I was I had my guard up yeah okay I wasn't like imagine that was me imagine that was what like it was like a girl that was biny shoes oh my god you would leave so anyways it was definitely sketchy so then he takes the shoes out
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, oh, shit.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like the shoes are right here.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: These are the shoes that I want.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so at the moment I saw the shoes, I didn't care what the guy looked like.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, give me that shit for a hundred thousand.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm out.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I walk up to him.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: I look at the shoes.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't give him the money yet.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: I look at the shoes and the first thing I noticed, there's no, there's no insult.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 30:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, okay, I got in souls at home.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's no problem.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 30:55[SPEAKER_04]: So I am in souls are like the part and the shoe you can like remove it.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_04]: I got the bottom.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: So anyways, I tried them on.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: I gave them the money at that point, right?
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: Because he might think I can put them on and do the run, right?
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I gave them the money I tried it on.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, okay, cool.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: This faith perfectly.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: In my head, I'm thinking this person is like, they don't know what they just lost for a hundred dollars.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_04]: Um, because like how much was that supposed to be for like an X?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: No, if that was like a real one, like these are like easily over, I don't know, four hundred dollars.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm thinking of this person probably found, I don't know.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like the moment I saw him, I was like, oh, he probably got that shit from somewhere.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, I don't know, but I'm gonna get this one hundred dollars and get out of here.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, like getting the car and all that, go home, happy.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm driving music, sunset.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: Beautiful time, right?
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then I send my friend a photo.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: after I tried it on, like with some pants or whatever, I'm like, this is like good.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_00]: So then my friend was like, we lived together this time?
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: So it did the Laura apartment, like the one.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, wait, I kind of remembered it.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_04]: No, that's the first one.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_04]: When you were telling the story, I was like, no, yeah, yes.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, you definitely did.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: That was like when I had the walking closet.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: Remember?
- 32:10[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I used to stack up to choose at the top anyway.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: So my friend sees the shoes.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, hold on, I don't think, I don't think these are real.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: Because the Jordan didn't really look like the hand of the Jordan logo.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: It was kind of different a little bit, but I didn't pay attention to that at the time.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: I was just so excited to get the shoes.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_00]: So anyways, long story, less long.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_00]: Those Jordan's were fake.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Faker and fake.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, this person just needed a hundred dollars.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't care.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's why it was so cheap.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, now looking back on it, I'm like, what they were like used.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they were used, but something like someone also bought them and wore them either thinking they were real or thinking that they didn't care, they were fake.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know, but they weren't in.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're pretty worn in, but sometimes people sell those, especially if it's like a collective or like an older pair.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_04]: I know, but I'm saying that other person who wore it,
- 33:10[SPEAKER_04]: either thought they were real and wore them and sold them.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_04]: Or they were like, I know the shit's fake.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_04]: I was just wearing it.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because you can't really tell from the distance, right?
- 33:20[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know how I feel about fake stuff, you know, because I know like.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: So anyways, before we get into that, and I don't think we should really get into that all the way.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't have that.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, I had them and then I think I resold them.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_04]: You did.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I re-soldered to someone else.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_04]: I think you sold it for like a little less, no?
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sold it for a little less.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: Cause sometimes people just need shoes, honestly.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I just couldn't walk around with that shit, like, and you're actually sitting.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan is like, if someone knows Jordan, also that colorway never existed.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a real colorway that came out.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: Not that specific blue.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because like that color, the real version is called like Carolina blue.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's like light blue.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so they don't look like I pulled up the real photo.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, moving off from the Jordan story, but that's what happened to me at Crispy Cream on in Seattle.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: And never again, so I'm not buying shoes online again.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, yeah, that's what we're talking about.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, like I might still buy shoes online, but that's just that story.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_04]: No, but they don't have to be online.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_04]: You can also find like vintage shoes at like a shop store or on grail too.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of real good condition shoes that people sell and resell.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_04]: I must say though, I've only bought
- 34:42[SPEAKER_04]: old shoes maybe like twice I still have one pair but I need to take them to the cobbler that's the thing usually if they're vintage like they won't be in the best shape especially if it's like a leather shoe or something like that you might like take it to the cobbler and they like fix it up I need to do that but I haven't bought shoe on online or in the store like used ones
- 35:07[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_04]: This is okay.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_04]: So something that I wouldn't buy vintage.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe it's not so much like I wouldn't buy it, but I would probably just go for the new version of it is white t-shirts.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_04]: You know what like a like just a simple like a simple white t-shirt Why wouldn't you?
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: Why wouldn't you get it thrifted like you can get so many good thrifted whiteies But they're not here.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_04]: Well, they're not like true white where they're clean and they have like the right cut at least for women for guys is different because it's for use like you can find it in the graphic t-section
- 35:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_04]: I'm talking about, if I want one, that's like nicely cropped or like more faded kind of thing.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: You can cut it yourself.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know what my t-shirts are about?
- 35:55[SPEAKER_04]: Like you want it to roll at the bottom.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_04]: I want it to be nicely stitched, where I can wear it.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm kind of like when t-shirts roll at the bottom a little bit.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but that's like your style.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_04]: You have a specific specific thing.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: But if I see a shirt that I really be the liking is not my size and it's oversized like it's too big, I'm getting that shit and I'm gonna make that shit fit.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but as a girl, there's plenty of shirt like t-shirts that I wear that are more fitted to that my frame.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_04]: You know, so it's like that's something that's really hard to find.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_04]: Not impossible.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so t-shirt.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: So white t-shirt specifically.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_04]: No, it's like it could be white t-shirt like just basics.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I think basics are good to buy new, especially because you're going to wear them a lot.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't know, like a good quality like tank top.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_04]: That's like fits right.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you should thrift tank tops.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_04]: You might find I just I also never find like a tank top.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because nobody sells that shit.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, nobody really repurposes them.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_00]: They just live them a lot.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, I think basics like that definitely I buy new more often.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think with vintage shopping, my favorite thing is honesty is finding the perfect pen and then like a super simple t-shirt.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's like my favorite thing.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: I will find a t-shirt for five dollars in a word that she and you won't even know that it was five dollars.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and it will also just like fit right.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I love like shirts with like different car companies or truck companies.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't care from where it is.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like you could say, I don't know.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_00]: It could say.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_00]: So Yoda, or you can say, what's the one I used to be like?
- 37:40[SPEAKER_04]: Your cities.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, Mercedes, but like you just like.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_04]: Michael Williams.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was like a paint, it's like a paint company.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_04]: Sure with Williams.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: Sherman Williams.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, something like that.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, basically Michael.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, any any company.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_04]: That's like a brand or a logo.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it could be like just like right here on the chest.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's always like chest and then maybe something on the back.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I don't love the bag.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: Graphics down much.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: I love more like something small in the front.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: It could be like, I don't know, Mitsubishi.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I would love shirts like that.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: I would have simple pair pants and my dogmarins.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm good that I'm saying.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_04]: And of course, you have to put your care beinger, which your keys.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, and then I mean, that's like a thing.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 38:32[SPEAKER_04]: The keys on the on the on the loop.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_04]: And I've seen I've seen like so many other people that's like a thing.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_04]: But it's funny because you've been doing that for a long time.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's just it's just like easy access to the keys.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, so I think that's like as far as style, I love to me, cause don't need to be expensive for you.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: For you to like put together and I'll fit a lot of people think, I need to have Gucci this product, that Louis that.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: Why sell this?
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's like those things are cool.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_04]: But those are also not the only expensive things though.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: I know, you can even get like vintage though.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: Don't sleep on vintage teas because sometimes like I'm looking, I want to get a shy day shirt.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't know, shy day is S-A-D.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: Most people know if you don't know.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: Google her right now.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_00]: She's one of my favorite artists of all time.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_00]: And a vintage shirt by her, which was in like, like with her face on it.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: Nineteen, eighty eight, nineteen, ninety four, whatever.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like from her concert.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: That shirt would be at least three hundred dollars, because that's what they used to sell at the merch booth.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine going to the merch booth in nineteen ninety-one and getting a shot they shirt?
- 39:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that shows probably like three dollars then.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe five dollars.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, but now it's like it's so expensive because you could you can only get it then and there's many replicas now people you know make fake ones the one you have real don't want to had one was from the dime diamond life tour.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but you have it still no no I don't know where that shit is that oh really yeah, yeah, she's so good you don't have no
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have it.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_00]: Shadeh like she's I need to look for but her real vintage teas the one that have like just single stitched are that were actually made then yeah are because like urban officers could definitely make one that look meant oh yeah they probably already did yeah if you ever go okay I'm just gonna say this because I this is like the perfect episode to tell people okay this is a trick if you didn't know if you go
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: thrift shopping or thrifting and you look at at you and you're looking at the vintage T section are we talking online or in person okay
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: If you grab a shirt and you look at the bottom at the stitching, okay?
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: Any shirt that was made after the year, two thousand has double stitches.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: Anything in the year that's actual, that's actually vintage has a single stitch.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll hear your hurt me say this many times, but I gotta tell the people because people are here again scammed.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're in Iraq somewhere and it tells you vintage t-shirt, but then you grab a shirt and you look at the bottom and you see that it has like double stitches is not vintage.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_04]: Double stitches is in two rows of stitching at the edges.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_04]: Like whether it's at the bottom of the waist or it's like on the sleeve.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: Because back in the nineties shirts were all single stitch.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: So they only started doing the double stitching in like two thousand three I think.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but isn't that isn't he doesn't three considered vintage too because that's vintage is twenty years old and we're in twenty twenty five I guess so yeah, so but they still started making the vintage T's like early two thousand yeah, so anyways if you want to get but the cool thing about the single stitch one is that that could be from from the sixties like we from seventies like me from the eighty so
- 42:09[SPEAKER_04]: but yeah and also sometimes if you're wondering why t-shirt might be super expensive and then you see single stitch that could also be a reason why yeah like if you're wondering like why is this t-shirt like eighty dollars because it's actually from the eighties yeah exactly so but you can also find very cheap single stitch shirts as well no yeah yeah for sure i found one i remember i was like
- 42:35[SPEAKER_04]: Um, I've been in like a thrifting a good thrifting like every every week.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_04]: I'll hit one or store the other.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: I love when you go to a store and send me a picture.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_04]: And I found this vintage Barcelona, I think, Olympics like T-shirt.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_04]: And I checked and I was like, oh, did you check if it was a single stitch?
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: I did.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_04]: Now why don't you all the time?
- 43:04[SPEAKER_04]: Anytime I find because I've been looking for
- 43:08[SPEAKER_04]: graphic t-shirts.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_04]: So best place to find them is that they're so you look every time know I look every time of course Especially when it's one that I'm like it says like ninety ninety eight, but is it actually or they just like did someone just print that on t-shirt?
- 43:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, that stuff is like for if you actually just care and want to because those shirts also feel different.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: They're like softer.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_00]: They've been around, you know, but um, there's also plenty great t-shirts double stitch.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying double stitch.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not great.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_04]: Um, we're not shaming on double stitch.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying the single stitches thing that specifically from the nineties and beyond.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: And that's it.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_04]: That's it.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, in terms of like,
- 43:52[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's just that.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: Even cats, I think cats is another thing that I would not buy.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_00]: To rift it.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_04]: Oh.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because people swear in their shit.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_00]: You ever looked on the inside of a hat and it has like a white rim on it?
- 44:07[SPEAKER_04]: Like a dirty.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually yellow almost.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, I don't buy it.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_00]: So what?
- 44:13[SPEAKER_00]: What would you buy?
- 44:14[SPEAKER_04]: I don't buy that one.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm asking you what I, I'll buy one that looks clean.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_04]: But the funny thing is, like if it's a colored hat, like you can't tell.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_04]: You can't tell.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't say, I mean, I hear you.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_04]: What if you just like wash it, wash the hat, when you get home?
- 44:33[SPEAKER_00]: You don't really wash heads.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: I never wash the head in my life.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_04]: You don't wash heads?
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you guys wash heads.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_04]: I never wash the head.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: I never wash the head because I feel like the moment you wash that shit.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_04]: It's not going to look the same.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, maybe like spray without alcohol or something.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_01]: You're doing too much.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: You really must want that.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_04]: Well, the funny thing is like, I would just wear it.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_00]: Because I, and also anything you guys, uh, buy thrifted a shirt, uh, pants.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really know, but especially shirts you have to wash that shit.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_04]: Wasn't there a shirt?
- 45:11[SPEAKER_00]: Wash it on cold.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: I used to not wash my vintage shirts.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: I used to not end that is nasty.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: Don't do that.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it wasn't there a shirt that you washed that like was black.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: One day, it was my Mercedes vintage, like just around the world.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_04]: Such a nice shirt.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: Such a nice shirt.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_04]: And you had been wearing it.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: I've been wearing that shirt.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_04]: And then one day I was like, I wanted to wash it just to wash it because you had worn it.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I was like, I never really washed it.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let me just hand wash it real quick.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_00]: Cause I just, oh, that was it.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to test it and see how dirty it was.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_00]: and I put it in the sink in the bathroom and I stopped the drain right from going, I fill it up with water and then I started to press on the t-shirt to make it into a ball and just squeeze and twist right.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_00]: You guys, it was almost like, it was a gray water.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_00]: It was gray water coming out of that show and that's not because of me wearing it for a few times.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it wasn't that.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_04]: I wonder what that was.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, it's because that show is so old.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_00]: And from that day, I was like any time I ever buy anything from the thru shop as shirt.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: I have to wash it.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: Wash it with cold water if you scare for it to shrink.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_00]: Let it just hang dry.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but remember to check the check the washing instructions washing and drying instructions of clothing.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, because both Yoni and I have made some mistakes.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you out of your messed up a few measures.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, wait, wait.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_04]: I bought an amazing menu both.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_04]: You ruined your own shirt after I ruined your shirt.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, because I put it in a dryer.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to put shit in a dryer no more.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_00]: But the shirt that Alia ruined for me was this amazing button up.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was, I feel like one of my favorite shirts.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_04]: She was, we were best shirt.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: And she put it that shit in a dryer and it came out like, it was like, it dropped.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_00]: You can wait now.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_04]: It's your responsibility to just know the things you have to take out of the dryer or take out of the wash and not put in the dryer and hang them out.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_00]: But at that particular time, you were the one who were doing the switchover, right?
- 47:39[SPEAKER_04]: You were the one who was home.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_00]: I was at home, but you could have been like, but you were the one taking the clothes from the washer and put it in the dryer.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_00]: You were the one who put it in there.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: You grabbed it and you put it in there.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, but it's, I know what's up with my clothes.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what's up with yours.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm not going to ask you about everything you have in here.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_04]: Is this good?
- 47:58[SPEAKER_04]: Is this good?
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, I think it could have asked.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think a little effort.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_04]: You've ever asked me.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_00]: Because because all my clothes are good to go.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's not true and also too like pants that I do not put in the dryer But I feel like I know that but I feel like I always know like I always hang them in the bathroom like I do be doing that my clothes Yeah, the ones that shouldn't go in the dryer
- 48:20[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_04]: You do that with your own clothes because you know your own clothes, but you don't do it for mine.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I have to do that.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think maybe a reason you have done that.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, a reason you have.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_04]: Well, yeah, because now we know and to check.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: We learn all that.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 48:31[SPEAKER_04]: Now we check the shiver, everything.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_04]: Every like nice, favorite thing you have, get check.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: No, every night.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: I was the dryer.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_00]: Every nice, very, very thing I have.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's washed in cold water.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_04]: I always wash in cold water.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm hanging dry in a shit.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like in laundry day, we got every surface of this apartment covered in clothes because we don't have one of those, like...
- 48:58[SPEAKER_04]: Those like drying racks.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_04]: That's the one.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_04]: Nah.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know where are we going to put this shit.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's no space here.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: There's no space to put it.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, I did ruin that shirt and I'm genuinely still really sad about it.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_04]: It wasn't even in my shirt because it was my favorite shirt of yours.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_04]: And you got it in Japan.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_00]: I got it in Tokyo.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_04]: you guys.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_04]: And it was so like flowy in the perfect color.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, so mad.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, as you should be.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_04]: And then Yoni ruined a shirt that I actually gifted him.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_04]: It was this really fun like green flannel.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually yellow.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's like a yellow green.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's so funny when you see green.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_00]: You think it's yellow and then you see yellow.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_00]: You think it's orange.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_04]: That's yellow and your show was in that color.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_04]: It was like a name to it was like a lime grain.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_04]: So what happened?
- 49:54[SPEAKER_04]: And it was a I think it was like one hundred percent cotton because it was vintage and good quality and I specifically got it for you.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_04]: And it was like a different aperture that like you only wouldn't normally wear because you just don't wear that many colors.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you watch my latest YouTube video, that's the shirt I'm wearing in the intro and throughout throughout the whole video.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_00]: So if you want to see exactly what shirt we're talking about that got ruined, it's now which it's so small now.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_00]: But in the video,
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: It looked exactly how supposed to look.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: I love that shirt.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: And you can see how happy I am in the video if you watch it.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_00]: So go to youtube.com slash yoni koro and watch the last video that we went to the beach.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_00]: It was beach day.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_00]: And if you actually end up watching it, please comment and say I came from WTJ.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to know.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, give it a like.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_04]: Subscribe if you haven't.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_00]: But the shirt is there.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's so really nice shirt and honestly, I think for you to better to better visualize it, you have to watch the video.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_04]: Not the plug.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_00]: I have to plug my own shit.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_04]: You have to, you have to.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so that RIP to that shirt.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that shirt does not exist anymore.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_04]: That shirt's so cute.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_04]: It was cute that I got it for you.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was a really beautiful shirt.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, first, you only was kind of like, yeah, I don't know about the shirt.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_04]: It was a lot of color with it.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_00]: It was a lot of color, but then when I was editing the video, I was like, oh shit, that does look good.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_04]: It's such a good shirt.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I think that's kind of it.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, welcome.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, welcome back to the episode just podcast.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_00]: You guys, my name is Yoni Koro.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: We've got the intro.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm Alisa, if you didn't know by now.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we had a good episode today.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy to do the intro as that outro.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_04]: But it's also funny because we had, again, something about something about this audio episodes are like magic.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_04]: Because we came in here, like with a totally different topic, we didn't even get to talk about it.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_00]: This was not the topic today.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: We accidentally talked about this for an hour.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, which, what's with that title of this episode?
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: Stay tuned for next week.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're going to stay.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_04]: Thrift with us.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: What's the title for this one?
- 52:10[SPEAKER_04]: For this one.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: We're just gonna sell it next week.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_04]: This is coming up tonight.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, I thought you were saying like what was the original title.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, I remember.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_00]: We're not gonna talk about that.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_00]: Which is actually like, I'm not complaining about this.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, no, this is a great episode.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_04]: It's just funny how like we were, I don't know.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_04]: Something about, just from our perspective of recording, is something about being so cozy and chill.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_04]: That it's like, we're really just talking.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_00]: I know, but let me tell you exactly what happened today, who we came in here today, and we knew exactly what we wanted to talk about.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then somehow who introduced the vintage shit?
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like, was it you?
- 52:49[SPEAKER_00]: that you started talking about like, I've got what it was, but we started to talk about that.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then once we have these like moments where we're talking about one thing, as we're talking about it, you know, at minute fifteen, I was like, oh shit, I think we could talk about this the whole time.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, way earlier, I was like, oh, this is the topic for you.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: Way earlier, right?
- 53:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_04]: You can just tell like by the flow and also I just have hellish it to say.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I didn't realize you was going to be like this long.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we can just talk forever you guys.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_00]: So this was the vintage shopping.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_04]: It's just throwing it back because was it season one when we were talking about like vintage and it's been it's been it if you remember vintage
- 53:35[SPEAKER_04]: What is that?
- 53:36[SPEAKER_04]: Is that first season?
- 53:37[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was season two first episode.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_00]: It was our first video episode.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_04]: It was our first video episode on the regular Wednesday.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_04]: I think I remember what you were wearing.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: I was wearing a green hat.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, is it finished?
- 53:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if you go on YouTube, you can still see that shit.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_04]: That's so funny.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_00]: If you remember this episode, if you remember the finish episode, honestly, I feel like that's what you should comment.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_00]: Was that the title?
- 54:05[SPEAKER_00]: No, the title was like, is it vintage or vintage?
- 54:08[SPEAKER_04]: So that was the title.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_04]: How do you even spell vintage?
- 54:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_04]: Nobody got that also.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_04]: So rare.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: No, but if you remember, and if you're there, let us know in the comments.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's so funny.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_04]: I actually want to comment on Spotify.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_04]: If you are, uh, that means then you are an OG.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_04]: What's the juice?
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_04]: Cause that was like the first season that we switched our name from Pillotalk.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_04]: And we also did video.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, well.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_00]: Each year we, um, well, that kind of brings me back to that time.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: I remember like doing video for the first time, I was so shy.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, you know, I feel like there's like people here and I have to watch how I speak.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_04]: Our setup was cool though.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_00]: Our setup was so nice.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the Seattle setup with the bookcase and the middle and the last April.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_04]: It was like, be like on the corner.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was great.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_04]: That was, that was a good setup.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is a different set up here, but... Yeah, I mean, yeah, we don't have shit on the wall still.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_00]: There's not talk about it.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's not talk about that.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_00]: But anyways, we are the rice is ready, okay?
- 55:15[SPEAKER_00]: So this was happening right now.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_00]: We're eating.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_00]: It is, what is it?
- 55:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's Thursday night.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_00]: And we have this blanket here.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's a eleven pm.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's eleven pm.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_00]: And we're about to have dinner.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_04]: We're about to have dinner.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_00]: What if we can we just have dinner while we just like keep talking.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_04]: Because then people are going to hear like all the eating sounds.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, especially your eating sounds.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_04]: Do I make loud eating sounds?
- 55:41[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, you don't.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, we're about to have some rice with some whatever's in the fridge and I'm actually so hungry.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_04]: So I love you guys so much.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't have dinner plants specifically.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_04]: What do you mean?
- 55:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like we didn't have
- 55:58[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't know exactly what we're going to make for dinner tonight because we knew we had to record.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_04]: But we knew that whatever it is, we need rice.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, exactly.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_00]: And we're actually going to, I just want to, I just want to let him know what we're going to, what we're about to have.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, oh, so we are about to have us.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_00]: How, where did you find this?
- 56:16[SPEAKER_04]: This is who we're going to fish or something.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_04]: So Tritid Joe's not a secret.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_04]: Tritid Joe's is having a moment right now.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_04]: If you didn't know in London, people are wearing, to think about talking about trends close stuff.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_04]: People in the UK, apparently, and specifically in London is what I saw.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_04]: People are wearing Tritid Joe's tote bags as like a fashion statement.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_00]: When did that start?
- 56:37[SPEAKER_04]: And how did they get there?
- 56:39[SPEAKER_04]: Like how did you start?
- 56:39[SPEAKER_04]: No, someone must have brought just a lot.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_04]: Or maybe they buy them, like, online, as like, Vincent should have chose.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so that's having a moment, which is funny because... That just started?
- 56:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I saw, I heard someone else talk about it, like, last weekend.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_04]: When we went to Nick's show,
- 57:05[SPEAKER_00]: Those are, by the way, Trader Joe makes the best tote bags.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_04]: No, they do make the best tote.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_04]: And that specific tote bag is solid.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_04]: We have one.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_04]: We actually have two.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, it's solid, but it's crazy to like, I wonder how much they sell it in the UK.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_04]: I have no idea.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_00]: If you live in a UK and you know about these Trader Joe's bags, like, let us know.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's, like, going to be a DMS or comment over here on Spotify.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_00]: What's, what's to deal with that?
- 57:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it is a nice bag and it's only one color way.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's very easy to style.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a navy blue handles and then the bag is like, uh, cream.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: So you saw it online.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_04]: Well, yeah, just so I don't line, but I'm talking about this because of the fish.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_04]: The amount of tangents.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so Churchos has this smoked ahtuna sesame fish, which is basically if you know locks like salmon locks in the way that you smoke salmon to get smoked salmon.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_04]: That smoked tuna.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_04]: And then it has like sesame oil, I think, but it also has like sesame seeds on it.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_04]: So then it's kind of like sashimi like sushi tuna vibe.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, sashimi is like when you just have like the raw fish from like sushi.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I love that shit.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so it's kind of like that except it's smoked so it's salty.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_04]: Anyways, it's really good.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_04]: I get the material to jose is not insanely expensive and I'm pretty sure it's wild caught, which is important.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_04]: It's not foreign fish.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_04]: It's wild caught tuna.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_04]: And it already has flavor and one package has like twenty seven grams of protein.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_04]: So you have a package per person.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_04]: You put that on top of some rice with some like sauce or soy sauce on the rice, a side of like cucumber salad, and you're done.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_04]: That's what we're about to eat right now.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, also we should have it with what we call it.
