  Speaker 1: us to go to God in prayer. And on this

  Speaker 1: marvelous Monday, on this family day, I want to pray

  Speaker 1: about the big f forgiveness, y'all. The Word warns us
• 0:11
  Speaker 1: at offenses come right. But how are we gonna handle
• 0:15
  Speaker 1: those offenses? Are we gonna do it God's way? Are
• 0:18
  Speaker 1: we gonna do it in the flesh and continue to
• 0:19
  Speaker 1: fight in the flesh and choose to be bitter? Bitterness
• 0:23
  Speaker 1: and unforgiveness turns us over to the tormentors of this life.

  Speaker 1: That's sickness, that's disease, cancers. We've got to make a

  Speaker 1: choice to forgive. The Word of God says in Mark eleven,
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: twenty five and twenty six that if we don't forgive
• 0:36
  Speaker 1: men their trespasses, neither will our heavenly Father forgive us
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: our trespasses. Yes, what they did was wrong, Yes what
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: they did or said may have hurt you, But you
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: got to make it an act of your will. You've
• 0:49
  Speaker 1: got to choose on purpose to forgive. There was a
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: song I used to play on the radio years ago.

  Speaker 1: Help me to forgive as I have been forgiving, Father God,
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus Christ. We come before you God,

  Speaker 1: and we lay our hearts before you. God. The people
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: that we love and care about the most can hurt
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: us the most through offenses, through words, through their actions. God.

  Speaker 1: But God, you don't hold us responsible for them. You
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: hold us responsible for our response. We come to you

  Speaker 1: with a heart of repentance. First, God, asking that you
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: forgive us God for holding on to bitterness and unforgiveness.

  Speaker 1: And then God, we choose to forgive anyone and everyone

  Speaker 1: who has wronged us. Sometimes we find it so hard, God,

  Speaker 1: to let go of the people who have offended us
• 1:39
  Speaker 1: or done bad things to us. There's an evil, for
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: it's got the enemy that's always encouraging us to seek
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: revenge or respond to those who hurt us. But Lord,
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: help us, please, God, to control our thoughts and control
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: our heart, and to bring it in into alignment with You,
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: where we can easily forgive and graciously move on with
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: our life. Help us God to extend the same grace,

  Speaker 1: the same mercy that we so desperately need from you.

  Speaker 1: Let us God extend it to others. You said in
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: your word in Matthew five forty four through forty six,
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: to love our enemies. Bless them that curse us, to
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: do good to them that hate us, To pray for
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: them that despitefully use us and persecute us. So God,
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: today we're praying. We're lifting them up to You and
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: God creating us a clean heart, renew a right spirit
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: within us, and God restore the joy of our salvation. God,
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: we trust you, we love you, and we choose to
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: love others the way that you require. In Jesus' name, Amen.
