- 0:08Speaker 1: Hey, welcome in.

- 0:16Speaker 1: My name's Nick.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Joining me is the person who was on the previous
- 0:20Speaker 2: segment but is also here now.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Brooke from KNIX.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Hey.
- 0:26Speaker 1: My goodness.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Hey, you liked my last segment so much you wanted
- 0:29Speaker 3: me to come on your segment.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I couldn't contain my excitement.
- 0:33Speaker 3: I'm so honored to be a part of this.
- 0:34Speaker 2: You were like out the door and I pushed you
- 0:37Speaker 2: back in and I locked it and I said, you
- 0:40Speaker 2: can't leave.
- 0:41Speaker 1: We must do this together.
- 0:42Speaker 3: How many people did you ask to do this with
- 0:44Speaker 3: you until you got to me?
- 0:46Speaker 1: You were the first one. You were my first round draft.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Pick Okay, wow, I feel really honored As.
- 0:53Speaker 1: You should.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I don't know I mean, I know you watch our
- 0:57Speaker 2: segments I'm typically joined by Peyton from the John Jay.
- 0:59Speaker 3: And Rich show I DVR them every week.
- 1:02Speaker 2: And I know you're aware We're campaigning for an Emmy
- 1:07Speaker 2: And it's going pretty well Okay So it should feel
- 1:12Speaker 2: I don't know, you're on with that guy before Tim.
- 1:16Speaker 1: That's his name? Tim. I've been calling him Thim for
- 1:18Speaker 1: five years.
- 1:19Speaker 3: No, it's Tim.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Tim.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:21Speaker 3: He's a great guy. We might win an Emmy, but
- 1:23Speaker 3: if I can help you guys win an Emmy, I'll
- 1:27Speaker 3: do it.
- 1:28Speaker 2: So everyone knows the pathway to prizing and constant thankfulness
- 1:38Speaker 2: is poop. And it sounds like we have kids that
- 1:43Speaker 2: are very similar ages.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:45Speaker 2: And our firstborns, or your firstborn, my second, is the
- 1:51Speaker 2: craziest thing, is that they were born the same day,
- 1:55Speaker 2: same hospital, within hours of each other.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Wild, because we weren't due on the same day. I
- 2:02Speaker 3: don't think.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Because I was early.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah, we chose our date because it was a C-section.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I was early, so I was due two
- 2:10Speaker 3: days later, but then we found out that our four-year-olds
- 2:13Speaker 3: were born on the same exact day, same hospital, same everything.
- 2:17Speaker 2: So their birthdays are, I mean, essentially a month away.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Have you started birthday prep?
- 2:25Speaker 3: No, because I went too hard on his four-year-old birthday party.
- 2:28Speaker 3: His name is Bo, and I did Bocella.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I mean, it was the best birthday party I've ever
- 2:35Speaker 1: been to.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Okay, listen, and this is why I'm not doing another
- 2:37Speaker 3: birthday party, because I went overboard. I will admit that.
- 2:40Speaker 3: I hired a Lightning McQueen lookalike car to drive by
- 2:44Speaker 3: the party. I mean, it was perfect. I had an
- 2:47Speaker 3: ice cream truck, a T-Rex bounce house, cakes, cookies. I
- 2:50Speaker 3: had a custom-made sticker machine with his face on it, Bocella.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I had lanyards that said VIP, Bocella, Bocella.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Tim DJ'd.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I got a DJ. We got the noise complaint from
- 3:02Speaker 3: my four-year-old's birthday party that it was too loud. Then
- 3:06Speaker 3: at the end of the night, my four-year-old looks at
- 3:08Speaker 3: me and said, that was fun. I'm like, oh, buddy,
- 3:10Speaker 3: that's so great. What was your favorite part of the party?
- 3:13Speaker 3: And he goes, thank you, Mommy, for bringing the turtle
- 3:16Speaker 3: to my party. That was the best and my favorite part.
- 3:19Speaker 3: There was a random turtle in the park that I
- 3:20Speaker 3: had nothing to do with.
- 3:21Speaker 1: He had nothing to do with you.
- 3:22Speaker 3: He said this is his favorite part of the party
- 3:24Speaker 3: when the turtle arrived and the kids rushed over to it.
- 3:26Speaker 3: So I said, you know what? I am not going
- 3:29Speaker 3: to be spending all that money or doing all this
- 3:30Speaker 3: when all he wanted was to touch a turtle.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I mean, listen, there are certain things.
- 3:37Speaker 2: We asked, you know, it's Labor Day weekend and we're
- 3:40Speaker 2: trying to make plans and whatever. And I asked the kids,
- 3:42Speaker 2: if you could go Anywhere in the world, anywhere in
- 3:46Speaker 2: the world this weekend, what are you going to do?
- 3:48Speaker 2: And my son Theo said, dinosaur museum, which is by
- 3:53Speaker 2: Odyssey Aquarium. And it's like literally a room basically the
- 3:56Speaker 2: size that we're in with animatronic dinosaurs.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Right.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And that's it. And I was like, okay, what about
- 4:02Speaker 1: like anywhere in the world? And that was it. That's all.
- 4:07Speaker 2: That's literally all he wanted. So I get it.
- 4:10Speaker 3: We went to Oregon. We spent a lot of money
- 4:12Speaker 3: on this. We stayed at this nice resort. We went
- 4:15Speaker 3: to Portland. We went to everywhere. And we get back
- 4:19Speaker 3: and we always say, what's your favorite part? And on
- 4:21Speaker 3: the way to the airport, we had a little delay.
- 4:23Speaker 3: So we decided to stop at a Chick-fil-A. And he
- 4:25Speaker 3: told his teacher that we went to Chick-fil-A over vacation.
- 4:28Speaker 3: And that was his highlight.
- 4:30Speaker 2: The thing is, he wasn't wrong. He did go there
- 4:34Speaker 2: for vacation.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:36Speaker 3: But that was the highlight. So if I can just...
- 4:39Speaker 3: No more vacations and no more birthday parties.
- 4:41Speaker 1: It's just... I'm done. You can go to daycare and
- 4:43Speaker 1: I will put pizza in your lunchbox.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:45Speaker 1: The end.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Right. And then you shared with me right before you
- 4:49Speaker 2: came on that your youngest, Cam, is currently potty training.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And that is also going swimmingly.
- 4:58Speaker 3: It's going... I thought I was like, I thought I
- 5:03Speaker 3: was a superior parent with my first one. Cause I
- 5:05Speaker 3: potty trained him really easily and early and he's pretty
- 5:08Speaker 3: well behaved and like courteous and a sweet kid. And
- 5:10Speaker 3: then cam humbled me. I, he humbled me and he
- 5:16Speaker 3: is taking off his diaper and pooping on our couch
- 5:18Speaker 3: and the floor and the kitchen. And I, I don't
- 5:22Speaker 3: know what to do because that's, I, that's my life.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I think it's the second child thing. Because we had
- 5:30Speaker 2: the same problem. Not to the extent where he's taken
- 5:35Speaker 2: off his diaper, but we went with like, oh, kid,
- 5:37Speaker 2: just run around the house and we'll just follow you around.
- 5:40Speaker 2: But at one point he snuck away and Theo, he
- 5:44Speaker 2: pooped on our daughter's floor. But she got the double
- 5:48Speaker 2: whammy because the dog had also pooped in her room
- 5:52Speaker 2: on the floor within like 10 minutes of each other.
- 5:55Speaker 2: And she just cried for about an hour when it happened.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I did too. I went too.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I went too. You come out and it's like, dude,
- 6:06Speaker 1: what's happening?
- 6:08Speaker 2: And I think the weird thing to me, and I
- 6:11Speaker 2: don't know, you probably remember being potty trained.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't remember being potty trained.
- 6:17Speaker 3: I don't. I was under two because I'm a girl
- 6:20Speaker 3: and I have manners and I don't poop in my
- 6:21Speaker 3: sister's room.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Like the fear of the toilet is fascinating to me
- 6:29Speaker 2: like I don't and maybe that's maybe that's the problem
- 6:32Speaker 2: that was the problem with Theo is that he was
- 6:35Speaker 2: like no thank you but he snuck.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Off and did it my two year old Cam will
- 6:41Speaker 3: look me dead in the eyes and push it out
- 6:44Speaker 3: like a defiance he's protesting the toilet he's like.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Take this what a what a what a kid No, he's.
- 6:52Speaker 3: The, I love him so much, but he's the one,
- 6:55Speaker 3: my first one made me realize I can do this again,
- 6:58Speaker 3: and then my second one made me realize I'm done
- 7:00Speaker 3: with children because I can't have any more.
- 7:04Speaker 2: The one-on-one defense is real.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And it's especially real when they're both, I mean, our
- 7:13Speaker 2: kids are, like I said, similar ages, but when they're
- 7:16Speaker 2: two under four, like, ah, you know what?
- 7:19Speaker 1: You have a girl, though. This would be just fine.
- 7:21Speaker 3: You have a girl. Not trying to generalize, but I'm
- 7:24Speaker 3: going to generalize.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Dude, this kid, I don't, like, I just don't know
- 7:28Speaker 2: what to do. She went up to, she's in first grade.
- 7:31Speaker 2: She went up to her kindergarten teacher last week and said,
- 7:34Speaker 2: can I come back to your class? Oh.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And she, you know, Miss Bradbury's so nice.
- 7:39Speaker 2: And she's like, well, Caroline, you're too smart for this.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And she was like, you know, I have to get braces.
- 7:46Speaker 1: And it's like, dude.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Like, the dentist told you one time you're probably going
- 7:51Speaker 2: to need braces years down the road. She's lost two teeth.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And she's already, like, concerned about when the braces are
- 7:59Speaker 2: coming on.
- 7:59Speaker 1: So, I don't know.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I get it.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It's all going great.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:03Speaker 1: All the time.
- 8:03Speaker 3: We're clearly amazing parents.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Brooke, thanks for stopping by.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Thank you for having me.
- 8:09Speaker 2: We have more Arizona Spin coming up right here on
- 8:11Speaker 2: Fox 10.
- 8:13Speaker 1: If chaos was a radio show, you're listening to it.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Welcome back, it's Arizona Spin on Fox 10+. My name
- 8:23Speaker 2: is Nick, and sometimes you can catch me on the
- 8:25Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich show on 104.7 KISS FM.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Brooke. Hi. From KNIX is here, the Tim and Brooke show.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Yes.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Brooke, I went to Bucky's.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Yeah, how was it? I've never been.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I'll tell you. I, um.
- 8:41Speaker 2: The thing that I think is most impressive about Bucky's
- 8:45Speaker 2: is the marketing.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Because you boil it down, it's a gas station.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Which is what I thought.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:53Speaker 2: And I feel like the clientele is, like, all walks
- 8:56Speaker 2: of life. And I think where I was disappointed is, like,
- 9:02Speaker 2: because they talk about, like, the food is incredible.
- 9:05Speaker 1: You have to get the brisket. I've tried the brisket. Whatever.
- 9:08Speaker 2: And the line was... out the door for food. So
- 9:13Speaker 2: we didn't even stay for that because the two kids
- 9:16Speaker 2: are going bananas. But man, my kids had never seen
- 9:22Speaker 2: the Bucky beaver before, but they are now obsessed. They
- 9:27Speaker 2: have a little Bucky stuffy. My daughter picked out Bucky pajamas.
- 9:31Speaker 2: My son picked out Bucky flip flops.
- 9:33Speaker 1: We went in and we went all in.
- 9:36Speaker 2: We spent like 200 bucks at a gas station and
- 9:40Speaker 2: we did not get gas.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Okay, so now are you saying, because I've been avoiding
- 9:45Speaker 3: it because I'm like, what's the big deal? I mean,
- 9:46Speaker 3: it's a gas station. Are you saying that I should
- 9:49Speaker 3: go to say that I went and that I need
- 9:51Speaker 3: to experience it? Or are you saying it's okay to
- 9:53Speaker 3: skip it?
- 9:54Speaker 2: So I kind of was going by like, I'm going
- 9:57Speaker 2: to wait until the hype dies down because I don't
- 9:59Speaker 2: want to I just, I don't like lines and I
- 10:02Speaker 2: really don't like being in crowded places.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Right, that comes with age.
- 10:06Speaker 2: And both of those things happened. I think it's fun
- 10:11Speaker 2: to experience, but coming from Scottsdale and going to the
- 10:17Speaker 2: west side, I'm still like, unless I'm driving out there anyway,
- 10:22Speaker 2: if I'm going to a concert or, or whatever, probably
- 10:27Speaker 2: not going to make another trip, but I do think
- 10:29Speaker 2: it's a fun experience.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And like I said, the kids had a great time. Okay.
- 10:33Speaker 2: It was, it was me that was like having an
- 10:35Speaker 2: anxiety attack because it's like, there's, there's people everywhere. And they, my,
- 10:41Speaker 2: my son's running all over the place. Um, but the, uh, the,
- 10:45Speaker 2: the Bucky beaver, uh, I think his name is Bucky.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
- 10:50Speaker 1: He was there that day as well.
- 10:52Speaker 3: So I've had beaver nugs. I've had those. And they
- 10:55Speaker 3: were okay.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:57Speaker 3: But I mean, yeah, I've told myself, because the hype,
- 11:00Speaker 3: I need to stop at one eventually. But I don't
- 11:02Speaker 3: think I'm going to go out of my way. If
- 11:04Speaker 3: I'm passing it, I'll pull in.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's probably the route I would have gone.
- 11:10Speaker 2: But we were like, oh, let's just. Let's just check
- 11:14Speaker 2: it out, you know, because the kids are talking about
- 11:16Speaker 2: it at school and whatever.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I'm easy to impress, though. I like I went to
- 11:20Speaker 3: go see the world's largest spoon.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Oh, where's that?
- 11:23Speaker 3: In Minneapolis.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 3: And like I do stuff like that. So Bucky's might
- 11:28Speaker 3: fascinate me because I'm very easy to please. I one
- 11:31Speaker 3: time threw a dart at a map and I went
- 11:33Speaker 3: there like like blindfolded. And that's where I went. And
- 11:37Speaker 3: it was I landed in Moses Lake, Washington. I don't
- 11:40Speaker 3: know if you've ever been.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Well, this may surprise you.
- 11:44Speaker 3: No, not many people have. And I had a lovely time.
- 11:49Speaker 3: And by no means is what I say. You need
- 11:52Speaker 3: to book a trip here. But it's just like I'm
- 11:54Speaker 3: in it for the experience. That's kind of me. So
- 11:57Speaker 3: maybe Bucky's would be like amazing.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I feel like I've just watched you go full circle
- 12:03Speaker 2: from like maybe I don't maybe I don't have to
- 12:05Speaker 2: go there, too.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I can talk myself into something.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Then this afternoon, you're like, hey, Nick, look at all
- 12:12Speaker 2: the jerky I bought.
- 12:14Speaker 3: I mean, listen, probably it won't compare to Moses Lake,
- 12:17Speaker 3: but I'll make a trip.
- 12:20Speaker 2: The beaver nugs, I mean, they kind of taste like
- 12:24Speaker 2: corn pops, right? That was what I came from. The
- 12:29Speaker 2: jerky's good. I thought it's good, but I don't know. Again,
- 12:34Speaker 2: not having... Had the actual food. I don't know how
- 12:37Speaker 2: that part of it lives up to the hype. But
- 12:39Speaker 2: I will say the kids had a good time. And
- 12:42Speaker 2: they were disappointed when we were like, it's 1,000 degrees.
- 12:45Speaker 2: We're not getting out of the car so you can
- 12:46Speaker 2: take a picture with the statue.
- 12:48Speaker 1: You've already. That's a bronze statue of a beaver. Right.
- 12:54Speaker 2: And there's nothing. There's not a part of me that's like, yeah, yeah.
- 12:58Speaker 2: We need to get out and do this.
- 12:59Speaker 3: All right. Well, this is informational for me. Thank you.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I'll consider it now.
- 13:03Speaker 2: You also just took Bo to his first Diamondbacks game.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Yes. And is he, like, chomping at the bit to
- 13:14Speaker 1: go back? Oh, yeah.
- 13:15Speaker 3: He had the best time. I don't know anything about baseball,
- 13:19Speaker 3: but I love going to the games because they're fun.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I'm not a baseball fan, but I am when I'm there.
- 13:24Speaker 3: And we were pretty close, and he got to see, like,
- 13:27Speaker 3: all the players. And each player that came to bat,
- 13:30Speaker 3: I told him, like, Oh, he eats a lot of broccoli.
- 13:32Speaker 3: He eats a lot of, like I would just name
- 13:35Speaker 3: a vegetable. Cause he was like, Whoa. Cause he was
- 13:37Speaker 3: so fascinating. Cause he plays like little T-ball. Guess what?
- 13:40Speaker 3: Next night ate all of his vegetables, all his broccoli.
- 13:43Speaker 3: And I'm like, thank you. Wow.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:46Speaker 2: The, the, the experience at Chase field for kids, I,
- 13:50Speaker 2: they do it right.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Like, Oh yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Being from like the St. Louis area, like Fred bird
- 13:56Speaker 2: is the mascot. And like, you have to be pretty
- 13:58Speaker 2: lucky to catch Fred bird at like, like specific parts
- 14:02Speaker 2: in the stadium.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Like, I feel like Baxter is everywhere. The entire game.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Like you turn around and you're like, what, how did
- 14:08Speaker 2: he get up to 300 level? He was just right
- 14:10Speaker 2: in front of us.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yes.
- 14:11Speaker 3: And Randy Johnson. So my kid went for a high
- 14:15Speaker 3: five and he just kept walking. I mean, it was
- 14:17Speaker 3: the big headed Randy, but it's okay.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Oh, well, he wasn't the one that won the World Series.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He was the replica. Yeah, it was the replica guy.
- 14:26Speaker 3: That's okay, Randy. Just don't stop for my four-year-old.
- 14:28Speaker 2: From now on, we are boycotting. Actually, yeah, in the
- 14:33Speaker 2: big head race.
- 14:35Speaker 1: No. No, Randall.
- 14:36Speaker 3: No, absolutely not. Gonzo's my guy. Gonzo is the winner.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Gonzo. I think Mark Grace is the other one.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Yeah, but it was so fun. It was so fun.
- 14:46Speaker 3: My kid ate like a grown man. Was just having... Pizza, dessert,
- 14:50Speaker 3: time of his life. So, yeah, we'll definitely go back.
- 14:52Speaker 1: And when the team's good, too, it makes it more
- 14:54Speaker 1: fun as well. Are they good? Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 14:58Speaker 2: They're fighting for a playoff spot right now.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Oh, really? Yeah. Okay, good for us.
- 15:03Speaker 1: We're doing it. We're really doing it.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Go D-backs.
- 15:08Speaker 2: And also at Chase Field tomorrow night, this I'm sure
- 15:11Speaker 2: interests you, My Chemical Romance and Jimmy Eat World.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Not.
- 15:17Speaker 1: You're going to be there?
- 15:17Speaker 3: I'm not going to be there. That's not my thing.
- 15:20Speaker 1: You're missing out.
- 15:21Speaker 3: I'm happy for those that are passionate about that.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Jimmy World is from here, and they're celebrating the 25
- 15:28Speaker 2: years of the Bleed American record. Can you tell me
- 15:32Speaker 2: your favorite song from that one?
- 15:35Speaker 3: I like May Angels Lead You In.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yeah. In the middle. You know what?
- 15:40Speaker 2: The middle is not the song, but the one you
- 15:44Speaker 2: previously mentioned. I want to get lyrics tattooed on my
- 15:49Speaker 2: arms from.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Oh, that's beautiful. I only know that song because of
