- 0:05Welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. This is Ariel Santana.
- 0:10Can you believe I'm seven years old already? I'm old enough now to introduce my dad.
- 0:15Ladies and gentlemen, your host, my dad, Angel Santana.
- 0:22Two thousand came and the spark was lit. A testimony raw, it wouldn't quit.
- 0:27His mother's voice, a guiding thread.
- 0:55Hello, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. My name is Angel,
- 1:00and today we begin a new week about real faith. That's right, it's Real Faith Week.
- 1:05I'm recording from my home, and I'm excited to be with you.
- 1:08We're going to be doing a scripture reference from Philippians chapter 4,
- 1:11verses 6 through 7, so get everything ready for that.
- 1:15I want to welcome every single person and welcome back to another week of Have Faith, Let It Begin.
- 1:20Again, today kicks off something brand new.
- 1:25All this week, something brand new will take place.
- 1:30All this week, we're doing a series called Real Faith.
- 1:35That's right, real conversations, real struggles, real emotions, and real hope.
- 1:42Because sometimes, faith isn't about having all the answers.
- 1:46Sometimes, it's just trying to make it through the day without your mind overwhelming you.
- 1:53And to be very honest with you, that's what I want to talk about today.
- 1:58You ever notice how exhausting overthinking is?
- 2:01I mean, not physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.
- 2:08Your body's tired, but your mind keeps going, replaying conversations,
- 2:14replaying mistakes, and thinking about tomorrow.
- 2:17Thinking about what could happen thinking about
- 2:21what someone met and before
- 2:25you know it you've created 10 different scenarios in your head that haven't
- 2:30even happened you know i think a lot of us are carrying mental exhaustion right
- 2:35now and that boy that's that's hard and that hard part is people can't always see it.
- 2:44You can smile, go to work, show up for your family.
- 2:50Meanwhile, your thoughts are running nonstop and rampant.
- 2:54And if I'm honest with you, I've had moments like that too. Moments where my
- 2:59brain just wouldn't slow down.
- 3:03Where peace felt distant because my thoughts were louder than everything else.
- 3:09That's why today's scripture really matters. Not because it magically removes
- 3:15stress, but because it reminds us where peace comes from.
- 3:20And maybe that's the hardest thing for us sometimes.
- 3:24We keep trying to think our way into peace.
- 3:30But peace doesn't come from controlling every outcome. Peace comes from trusting
- 3:36God, even when we don't know the outcome.
- 3:41That doesn't mean we stop caring. It means we stop caring things we were never meant to hold alone.
- 3:50Because overthinking doesn't sometimes... Boy, let me tell you.
- 3:54I'm just thinking about that. I'm back with my mind. Just thinking about it.
- 3:57Thinking, oh boy, overthinking does, it does something dangerous, right?
- 4:03It steals your present moment.
- 4:07You could be sitting with your family, driving home, watching a sunset,
- 4:12and mentally you're somewhere else completely lost in worry, lost in fear,
- 4:21lost in what if.
- 4:24And social media doesn't help either right i mean because now we compare our
- 4:28lives consistently somebody's getting married somebody bought a house somebody got promoted,
- 4:36and suddenly your brain starts asking am i behind am i failing why isn't my life moving theirs,
- 4:47why isn't my my my life moving like theirs i should say.
- 4:53What people don't post is their anxiety, their sleepless nights,
- 5:00their breakdowns, their doubts.
- 5:03Everybody's fighting something.
- 5:07And maybe today your battle is simply trying to quiet your thoughts long enough to hear God again.
- 5:14So let me remind you something. You don't have to have your whole life figured
- 5:19out today. You don't have to solve tomorrow, tonight, and you don't have to
- 5:26carry every burden by yourself.
- 5:30Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is pause, is breathe,
- 5:37and it's to pray and let yourself rest.
- 5:45It's all about encouragement. I mean, if your mind has been heavy lately,
- 5:51this is your reminder. You're not weak.
- 5:55You're not weak because you're overwhelmed. You're human.
- 5:59And God is not disappointed in you for struggling. No. He wants you to bring those struggles to him.
- 6:06Not after you fix yourself. Now.
- 6:10Maybe tonight, instead of replaying everything in your head, you pray first.
- 6:17Maybe instead of assuming the worst, you choose trust.
- 6:22And maybe, instead of carrying everything alone, you let God carry some of the weight.
- 6:30That's what I got for you today. Let's pray. Heavenly Father,
- 6:34you know the thoughts we carry, the worries and the fears, the pressure we place on ourselves.
- 6:43Lord, quiet those noises in our minds.
- 6:47Jesus, help us to stop living in constant fear of the what if.
- 6:53Teach us to trust. Teach us to trust you more deeply.
- 6:58Give peace to the person listening right now who feels mentally exhausted.
- 7:04Remind them that they are not alone. Not forgotten. Not failing.
- 7:12And help us to reset and rest in your presence today. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
- 7:20May God be with you. May he shine his light upon you and grant every single
- 7:26one of you today peace on earth.
- 7:32And never forget to have faith and let it begin. tomorrow.
- 7:43I'm going to give you an episode called, I Smile, But I'm Tired.
- 7:49Boy, I know we felt that one before. See you tomorrow.
