- 1:02Speaker 2: I don't see where we are, but I feel like
- 1:05Speaker 2: I see unique coffee places everywhere here.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Popping up all the time.
- 1:10Speaker 2: A study looked into the most popular coffee beverage in
- 1:13Speaker 2: every state. Espresso takes the top spot in 28 states.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Lattes are popular, 14 states, and cappuccino in 11 states. 66%
- 1:23Speaker 2: of Americans say they drink at least one cup of
- 1:24Speaker 2: coffee a day 7% up from 2020. Specialty coffee is
- 1:29Speaker 2: surging in popularity. 48% of people are into specialty coffee.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I don't know what that is.
- 1:34Speaker 7: It's like the fancy, like when you go to like
- 1:36Speaker 7: the little foofy little coffee.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Shops, they like make them all special.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Cinnamon dolce with a shot of espresso.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Right, they like muddle their own fruit or whatever.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Well, it is National Coffee Day. Hello. First of all,
- 1:47Speaker 2: welcome to the show.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I'm starting to realize that maybe it's time I wake up.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I can't talk to you yet. I haven't had my
- 1:53Speaker 2: coffee yet. I'm not a morning person.
- 1:54Speaker 8: Where's my coffee?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Quick, that's the beans.
- 1:56Speaker 8: Way down among Brazilians, coffee beans grow by the billions.
- 2:01Speaker 8: So they've got to find those extra cups to fill.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Beans again, listen you.
- 2:05Speaker 8: They've got an awful lot of coffee in Brazil.
- 2:09Speaker 6: What do you think is the difference between living and
- 2:12Speaker 6: being alive?
- 2:14Speaker 8: Second cup of coffee duncan doesn't take a lot of
- 2:18Speaker 8: skill they've got an awful lot of coffee an awful
- 2:23Speaker 8: lot of coffee man they got a gang of coffee
- 2:27Speaker 8: in brazil.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Going to be honest, did a little too.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Much, gave you a little too much. You know, I'm
- 2:36Speaker 2: new to the coffee world.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Are we still new?
- 2:39Speaker 2: I wish I would have drank coffee a long time ago.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I feel like it's changed my life. Oh, for sure.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I'm a new coffee fan and I love coffee. Just
- 2:47Speaker 2: black coffee. But you got some coffee food.
- 2:49Speaker 1: News, Barrow? Well, yeah, it's part of food news. It's
- 2:51Speaker 1: International Coffee Day. Circle K free coffee today. Now you've
- 2:54Speaker 1: got to be one of those Inner Circle Rewards members.
- 2:56Speaker 2: But you get a.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Free medium hot or iced coffee through the Circle K app.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You also can get free coffee at Einstein's and Krispy
- 3:04Speaker 1: Kreme just with any purchase. Now I have searched far
- 3:07Speaker 1: and wide. to any place here in Arizona where they're
- 3:11Speaker 1: just giving away a cup of coffee for nothing. Like
- 3:14Speaker 1: no strings attached. And I can't find any of those.
- 3:17Speaker 1: All of those have to be like an app or
- 3:18Speaker 1: something like that. There's always a string attached. There's no
- 3:22Speaker 1: free cup of coffee. But also in food news, and
- 3:24Speaker 1: this was breaking yesterday. And Peyton Whitmore over here made
- 3:28Speaker 1: sure that she blew up the Rich Barra phone to
- 3:30Speaker 1: make sure that I announced this. Chipotle is bringing back
- 3:33Speaker 1: the margarita after six years.
- 3:35Speaker 2: You can get alcohol at Chipotle?
- 3:37Speaker 4: You used to be able to. They're bringing it back
- 3:39Speaker 4: for Halloween.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And it's a $ 6 margarita. It returns in October. But
- 3:43Speaker 1: check this out. Only at select locations. It moves to
- 3:45Speaker 1: a different city every weekend. Denver, Brooklyn, Dallas, Los Angeles,
- 3:49Speaker 1: New Orleans all get a turn. But it is coming
- 3:51Speaker 1: back for a limited time. But, you know, if they
- 3:53Speaker 1: do well there, then they will bring it everywhere again.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And one more final thing for food news here. Popeyes
- 3:57Speaker 1: has turned a fan hack into an actual menu item,
- 4:01Speaker 1: or they're copying off Bojangles. The new $ 5 honey chicken
- 4:04Speaker 1: biscuit is available, and it is fried chicken. on a
- 4:07Speaker 1: giant oversized buttermilk biscuit with sweet honey sauce, and they're
- 4:11Speaker 1: serving it all day. Breakfast? Sure.
- 4:13Speaker 9: Lunch?
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yeah. Dinner?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Don't overthink it. It's fried chicken in a giant biscuit
- 4:17Speaker 1: and honey. You get the idea.
- 4:18Speaker 6: Also perfect because it is National Coffee Day. They just
- 4:22Speaker 6: announced that, like, I guess Dolly Parton had been working
- 4:24Speaker 6: on making her own coffee for years.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 4:27Speaker 6: And she had filmed commercials for it and everything. And
- 4:29Speaker 6: it's called Cup of Ambition.
- 4:30Speaker 4: And it's like.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Officially out today.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Why hadn't she had her own cup
- 4:34Speaker 2: of ambition?
- 4:34Speaker 9: I know.
- 4:35Speaker 4: I guess she's been working on it for years. But
- 4:36Speaker 4: now today's the.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Day that it's officially out. For myself, a cup of ambition.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And yawning, stretching, seem to come alive. Well, because it
- 4:42Speaker 2: is National Coffee Day. We can wrap up talking about
- 4:45Speaker 2: coffee by playing this legendary clip from comedian Brian Regan,
- 4:48Speaker 2: which I LOL out loud every time I hear it.
- 4:51Speaker 9: Sometimes you wonder why they can't do something that seems simple.
- 4:55Speaker 9: I like a cup of black coffee after a meal.
- 4:57Speaker 9: I'm amazed at how impossible this is for me to communicate.
- 5:01Speaker 9: I don't think I could say it any more clearly.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Would you like anything else, sir? Yeah, I'd like a
- 5:04Speaker 2: cup of black coffee, please. How would you like that coffee?
- 5:10Speaker 5: How would I like the black coffee? Can you put
- 5:14Speaker 5: it in a cup?
- 5:18Speaker 9: Yeah, don't just splash it on my face.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Would you like cream and sugar with that? Is it
- 5:28Speaker 5: black cream? If not, I'll take it blackity black black.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Filled with blackness, devoid.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Of all light.
- 5:41Speaker 9: Think of the blackest thing you can imagine and double
- 5:44Speaker 9: that blackness and take a black magic marker and fill
- 5:47Speaker 9: in the gaps and put that into a black rocket
- 5:50Speaker 9: ship and shoot that into the depths of black space
- 5:54Speaker 9: and close your eyes and use that.
- 5:56Speaker 1: As a reference.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Hey, yesterday I saw Kyle Lundflug went to the beauty salon.
- 6:08Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 2: New hair.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Who is?
- 6:10Speaker 2: I think you should post our transition, your transition on
- 6:13Speaker 2: John Jane Ridge Instagram. I watched like five times.
- 6:15Speaker 6: You did?
- 6:16Speaker 2: Yeah, because I was trying to notice the difference. Which,
- 6:18Speaker 2: by the way, wait a minute. I'm going to jump
- 6:20Speaker 2: all around here. Surprise, surprise. Okay. Your transition, I'd like
- 6:23Speaker 2: you to post it. I literally watched it five times.
- 6:27Speaker 2: And I want to get into this story I saw
- 6:28Speaker 2: about hairstyles, because I want to talk about your hairstyle.
- 6:30Speaker 2: But then did you see the new Instagram thing? What
- 6:32Speaker 2: new Instagram? Oh, my God. News?
- 6:33Speaker 1: News?
- 6:34Speaker 5: What?
- 6:34Speaker 2: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> Oh,
- 6:38Speaker 2: here it is. So Instagram has something called Instagram Plus subscription.
- 6:45Speaker 2: It costs $ 3. 99 a month. It includes a lot of features,
- 6:50Speaker 2: but there's one that people are freaking out about. They
- 6:52Speaker 2: said it's creepy. It's the main perk involves a stories
- 6:57Speaker 2: feature where you can watch, see who's watched your stories
- 7:00Speaker 2: over and over again, which is kind of creeping people out.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 6: Do you want to know?
- 7:05Speaker 7: Right.
- 7:05Speaker 2: So if you looked on yours, you see that I
- 7:07Speaker 2: watched your your stories several times because I was looking.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I was like, wait, I was trying to see the transition,
- 7:14Speaker 2: how different your hair looked. And then I read this
- 7:16Speaker 2: story to hear. Listen, this is this is somebody talking
- 7:18Speaker 2: about it.
- 7:18Speaker 3: This is the thing that made me the most uncomfortable
- 7:22Speaker 3: in the last week and has made me not want
- 7:24Speaker 3: to use Instagram ever again. Basically what this feature does
- 7:27Speaker 3: is you can see the timestamp at which someone has
- 7:29Speaker 3: first watched your stories. You will see a number of
- 7:32Speaker 3: people whose timestamps change and they jump back to the top.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Maybe someone watched your story one hour ago. And then
- 7:38Speaker 3: some number of other people watch your story. And then
- 7:40Speaker 3: they watched your story again one minute ago and again
- 7:43Speaker 3: and again. And all day long, you can watch as
- 7:45Speaker 3: certain people's names continue to jump to the top of
- 7:48Speaker 3: your list. Instagram has created all of these new social
- 7:51Speaker 3: behaviors that exist only online and not in person.
- 7:55Speaker 4: That's weird.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I don't like it.
- 7:56Speaker 9: I don't know if I would.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Number one, I don't know if I would want to
- 7:59Speaker 4: know that.
- 7:59Speaker 6: It's very creepy, but I definitely don't think I would
- 8:03Speaker 6: pay to know that.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Yeah, not four bucks a month.
- 8:06Speaker 7: I wonder if there's a different angle for it. I
- 8:11Speaker 7: feel like it could be beneficial for maybe an influencer
- 8:14Speaker 7: who is going back to see which content is hitting
- 8:17Speaker 7: that people are going back to.
- 8:18Speaker 4: And looking at.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Wasn't that already kind of available with the stats and
- 8:21Speaker 1: all that anyway?
- 8:22Speaker 7: Maybe.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 8:24Speaker 4: I'm just trying to make Instagram not creepy right now.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It's a good effort.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Anyway, if we could post that on John Jay and Rich,
- 8:31Speaker 2: Kyle did a transition video of her hair. Sure. According
- 8:34Speaker 2: to Glamour Magazine, some recognizable hairstyles from the 1980s are
- 8:40Speaker 2: making a comeback.
- 8:41Speaker 6: Ooh, like which ones?
- 8:42Speaker 2: I have them all right here. Oh, I remember crimpers.
- 8:46Speaker 2: My sister did that.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Well, you know, it's like on the MTV VMAs, like,
- 8:50Speaker 1: you know, like Ray and... They all had like, like
- 8:54Speaker 1: almost like throwback to the fifties hairstyles.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Well, this is the eighties. I would say right now, Kyle,
- 8:59Speaker 2: your hairstyle is not eighties. Would you say?
- 9:02Speaker 4: No.
- 9:02Speaker 2: What would you call your hairstyle?
- 9:03Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 9:04Speaker 7: Millennial.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Okay.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Here are the classic looks that are finding new life
- 9:09Speaker 2: in 2026. The ponytail made famous by Madonna.
- 9:13Speaker 6: Oh, so like really high, the high ponytail.
- 9:16Speaker 2: The side part blowout made famous by Cindy Crawford. Okay.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You guys may know that one.
- 9:23Speaker 4: I can picture it. I'm like, it's a side part blowout.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:26Speaker 4: I can picture the side part blowout. Me too.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Messy Curls, made famous by Julia Roberts. Okay.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 9:32Speaker 7: Cute.
- 9:33Speaker 2: The Pineapple Updo, made famous by Sarah Jessica Parker.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Not aware of this one.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Neither am I.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Oh, I know the Pineapple Updo.
- 9:40Speaker 6: You know it?
- 9:40Speaker 4: I'm going to do it. Yeah, that's how I put
- 9:42Speaker 4: my hair up when I go to bed.
- 9:43Speaker 2: By the way, we're going to play Minute to Win It.
- 9:47Speaker 2: We need a contestant. 877-937-1047.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Hold on.
- 9:48Speaker 2: 877-937-1047.
- 9:48Speaker 1: What's it look like?
- 9:54Speaker 6: It's like literally just sort of like your hair at.
- 9:57Speaker 4: The top of your head.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Oh yeah, okay, okay, okay.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Permed curls made famous by Dolly Parton. Yeah, it's good.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Natural curls made famous by Diana Ross.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I haven't heard the, you know, the mall bangs yet.
- 10:11Speaker 1: That hasn't come back from the 80s.
- 10:13Speaker 2: The what?
- 10:13Speaker 1: The mall bangs, the 80s hair.
- 10:15Speaker 2: The outward flipped out ends. Made famous by Princess Diana.
- 10:19Speaker 2: There you go.
- 10:20Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. Oh, that's a cute.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Little look, though. People can rock that when they got
- 10:24Speaker 4: a bob.
- 10:25Speaker 2: The one you didn't know, Kyle, what was the side
- 10:27Speaker 2: part blowout? Do you guys know this by Cindy Crawford?
- 10:29Speaker 2: What's that? Does that make sense?
- 10:31Speaker 1: So if you look at her daughter, she kind of
- 10:32Speaker 1: has her hair like that in shards.
- 10:35Speaker 4: When your hair is in a side part and then
- 10:36Speaker 4: you have a blowout.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I don't know what a blowout is.
- 10:38Speaker 4: A blowout is with like a blow dryer and like
- 10:40Speaker 4: a curl around brush.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Yeah, so you just have like more volume.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Big, voluminous curl.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Big hair.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Volume. Side part.
- 10:47Speaker 6: Big hair.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Voluminous.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Voluminous hair. Thank you, Rich.
- 10:50Speaker 1: No, I wasn't getting there easily either.
- 10:53Speaker 2: After we play Minute to Win It, we are going
- 10:55Speaker 2: to get into why it's great to be single. And
- 10:57Speaker 2: we got Becky G tickets on the line for that.
- 10:59Speaker 2: But I think we're going to play Minute to Win It.
- 11:00Speaker 2: We got an Ann contestant here. Oh, we had in

- 11:51Speaker 2: There was some serious thunder this morning, man.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
- 11:53Speaker 2: For sure. It was crazy. I was, like, doing my
- 11:55Speaker 2: normal routine, cold plunge, hot tub, and I was, like,
- 11:58Speaker 2: the lightning hit, and then I was trying to count
- 12:00Speaker 2: before you heard the thunder, and I forgot what the
- 12:03Speaker 2: rule was on that.
- 12:03Speaker 1: About a mile per second.
