- 0:01Speaker 1: The Hodaki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 0:04Speaker 1: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki.
- 0:06Speaker 2: New order there on the Radio Hodaki Big Show this
- 0:09Speaker 2: Monday evening. Fellows, let's give out some advice, shall we?
- 0:13Speaker 3: Be pretty, Nibs69. At gmail.com, get in touch with the fellas.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Meetpaddingup69 at gmail.com, real email address, get in touch. If
- 0:28Speaker 4: we read it on the show, boom.
- 0:29Speaker 3: $ 50 reburger voucher. The deuce.
- 0:31Speaker 5: Backbone.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Genuine advice questions too.
- 0:34Speaker 4: And fellas, this is one I'm sure both of you can,
- 0:38Speaker 4: you know, offer a bit of wisdom to, although it
- 0:39Speaker 4: has specifically requested maybe less from Jase.
- 0:43Speaker 3: On this one, you'll see why.
- 0:44Speaker 6: Okay.
- 0:45Speaker 3: G'day, fellas. Anonymous here. I'm after some dart advice.
- 0:49Speaker 4: The last few years I've been punching the odd social dart,
- 0:52Speaker 4: or cigarette, but recently I'm right on the tipping point
- 0:54Speaker 4: of becoming a full-time addict. I'm after a piece of
- 0:57Speaker 4: advice that I can think back to when I'm about
- 1:00Speaker 4: to buy a pack in one of my many, many
- 1:02Speaker 4: moments of weakness. I kind of don't want to hear
- 1:04Speaker 4: even a peep out of old Hoity Jizz. I don't
- 1:06Speaker 4: trust his dart advice as far as I could throw him,
- 1:08Speaker 4: which is probably pretty far, to be honest.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Cheers, fellas.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Cheers.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Anonymous.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Can I just say, fellas, on that front, I have
- 1:17Speaker 2: first-hand experience of this phenomenon with a very great mate
- 1:22Speaker 2: of mine who I might say, I don't want to
- 1:25Speaker 2: give any names out here, who we may or may
- 1:28Speaker 2: not have interviewed recently.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Oh, wow, really?
- 1:32Speaker 2: And who was very anti-smoking all the time.
- 1:36Speaker 6: Got a couple of mates like that.
- 1:38Speaker 5: And then.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Over time, he'd have the occasional dart.
- 1:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 1:43Speaker 2: He'd be like a social smoker. And then it grew
- 1:46Speaker 2: to a few more darts. And now he smokes darts
- 1:51Speaker 2: wherever he can. I don't think he buys them.
- 1:53Speaker 6: He does.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Oh, he does?
- 1:55Speaker 6: Yeah, he's on the rollies.
- 1:56Speaker 2: And now he punches the darts all the time.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Wow, okay. It's a shocking bastard. Yes. It's quite interesting, actually,
- 2:04Speaker 3: because I did a show.
- 2:10Speaker 7: Over nine years ago, I did this show, and I
- 2:12Speaker 7: was having a look at an old contract for it.
- 2:14Speaker 3: A show?
- 2:15Speaker 7: A TV show. And as part of that, you had
- 2:17Speaker 7: to do a medical. They had to do a medical, right?
- 2:19Speaker 7: And so one of the things that asked me was,
- 2:23Speaker 7: any opportunity they've got to ask you if you smoke,
- 2:25Speaker 7: they're taking it. Are you a smoker? And in this thing,
- 2:28Speaker 7: which I filled out in November sometime of 2017, I said, no,
- 2:33Speaker 7: I'm not a smoker. I gave up in January of
- 2:35Speaker 7: this year. So I don't even remember doing that, but
- 2:37Speaker 7: apparently I'd given up for almost a year.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Right. The amount of times that I've given.
- 2:41Speaker 7: I've got a photo on my Instagram, me smoking my
- 2:44Speaker 7: last cigarette ever. That's about seven years ago. It's unbelievable.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 3: So it's... Even for regular listeners of the show, listening
- 2:52Speaker 3: to you.
- 2:52Speaker 6: Guys talk about it. I've given up a billion times.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 2:56Speaker 7: And then I go for weeks and weeks and I
- 2:57Speaker 7: don't have any, but then I had a beer over
- 2:58Speaker 7: the weekend, so I was ripping into them again then.
- 3:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Um.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Uh.
- 3:04Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, I don't know what to tell you, man.
- 3:06Speaker 7: I mean, there's nothing you don't know already. And who
- 3:07Speaker 7: the hell am I to tell you?
- 3:09Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 3:09Speaker 7: I would say, you know, try heroin or something. It's
- 3:16Speaker 7: easier to give up.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Move on to the H. Although I bet cigarettes
- 3:19Speaker 3: are great on the H.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Do you know what I mean?
- 3:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yeah, they're great with everything. That's the problem.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Guys, guys, guys, guys. So maybe the answer, Jase, is
- 3:27Speaker 3: that you and I need to start the heroin.
- 3:29Speaker 6: Yeah, maybe.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 3:30Speaker 3: We're not encouraging people to take up smoking here. That's
- 3:33Speaker 3: not what we're here to do.
- 3:35Speaker 2: We're not saying that at all, Keith.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I'm encouraging them to take up heroin. Oh, okay. That's
- 3:40Speaker 3: all G. That's all G. It's tough, though.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Just quickly, is there a way you can just smoke
- 3:45Speaker 4: when you're on the lash or whatever, and that's it?
- 3:47Speaker 7: No, I don't think so. I think it always letches.
- 3:49Speaker 7: I mean, I go pretty good at it now, but
- 3:52Speaker 7: it comes and goes. But also, I only smoke when
- 3:54Speaker 7: I'm drinking pretty much now, which is good.
- 3:57Speaker 6: But I'd rather not smoke at all.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 3:59Speaker 7: Because I know that it's going to come back to
- 4:01Speaker 7: bite me at some point. My mother smoked a packet
- 4:04Speaker 7: a day for close to 40 years.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 7: And then my cousin gave her the Alan Carr book,
- 4:12Speaker 7: How to Give Up Smoking Easily or whatever it's called.
- 4:14Speaker 7: About an hour ago, I was on my Instagram and
- 4:16Speaker 7: I saw Mel Gibson talking about the fact that he
- 4:18Speaker 7: smoked more than a pack a day for over 40
- 4:20Speaker 7: years and then his son gave him the same book.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:23Speaker 6: And he gave up off the back of that.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. So I'm going to give that a go, actually.
- 4:27Speaker 3: But you guys have tried that before.
- 4:29Speaker 6: No, I haven't.
- 4:29Speaker 7: I never got through it because the book is so bad.
- 4:31Speaker 7: And so I think I'd rather give up smoking than
- 4:34Speaker 7: finish this book.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yeah, right. The first 40 or 50 pages that I've
- 4:38Speaker 2: read thus far are literally like... This book has been
- 4:42Speaker 2: a huge success.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Yes.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And you're going, okay.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Get on with it.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Can you tell me how you do it? And, you know,
- 4:49Speaker 2: people think giving up smoking is really hard.
- 4:51Speaker 3: It's not. That's right.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Okay, can you tell me how it's not?
- 4:54Speaker 7: Drives me up the goddamn wall. I've started that book
- 4:56Speaker 7: so many times with that. And at some point it's
- 4:58Speaker 7: going to get to a point.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Yes, it is.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Maybe everyone just says they'll just give up. Say they've
- 5:03Speaker 4: read the book. I'll just give up.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Say I've read it.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Just so you don't want to start banging on about it.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Yeah. So there you go.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know, man.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Try heroin? It's a... Look, I've got no advice, man.
- 5:16Speaker 6: I'm at a loss. Yeah.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Same.
- 5:18Speaker 6: Absolutely, I'm owned by cigarettes. I am owned.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Well, what about this? If you hear any good advice, listeners,
- 5:24Speaker 3: send it to us.
- 5:25Speaker 6: Yeah, give me some.
- 5:25Speaker 3: So that Mogi can have it.
- 5:27Speaker 1: The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You need Nirvana there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show
- 5:35Speaker 2: this Tuesday evening. Fellas, it's time for... Oh, yeah.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Hey, guys. Text here from Steve. Hello. What's for tea,
- 5:44Speaker 3: New Zealand? With me, Katie.
- 5:48Speaker 4: A lot of great texts coming through, fellas. People having
- 5:51Speaker 4: yummy dins.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I love yummy dins.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Yeah, same.
- 5:54Speaker 3: And stoked to talk about it as well, which is great. 3483,
- 5:56Speaker 3: keep the texts coming. G'day there, fellas. Emma here.
- 6:04Speaker 6: Thompson. Nice. Emma Stone?
- 6:06Speaker 3: Emma Thompson.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Oh, what?
- 6:08Speaker 3: I love Emma Thompson. She's great.
- 6:10Speaker 4: She's in Wellington and having chicken and leek pie with
- 6:13Speaker 4: Oreo cookie sandwich for dessert.
- 6:14Speaker 6: A lot of chicken and leek pie going on at
- 6:17Speaker 6: the moment.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I was going to say, that's about the fourth one
- 6:19Speaker 2: we've had. It's the season for it.
- 6:20Speaker 6: I'm over it, man.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, no more chicken and leek pies.
- 6:23Speaker 3: For everyone?
- 6:24Speaker 6: We're having it every week, man. I'm sick of it.
- 6:26Speaker 3: We need to mix up our menu a bit. Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 3: What about the Oreo cookie sandwich dessert? That sounds yummy.
- 6:33Speaker 6: It's what's for tea, not what's for dessert.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good point. I'm so sorry. G'day there, fellas.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Finn here. Alan. Finley Quail.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Finley Quail. It's Finn Allen. G'day there.
- 6:48Speaker 6: This is bullshit.
- 6:50Speaker 3: G'day, guys. Finn Allen here from Auckland cooking some scotch
- 6:55Speaker 3: over the coals. Scotch steak, obviously.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Yes.
- 6:59Speaker 3: With a broccoli and pine nut salad and smashed crispy potatoes.
- 7:03Speaker 6: Sounds yummy. Oh, sounds good.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I have no problem as long as they're cooked
- 7:06Speaker 2: in duck fat.
- 7:08Speaker 3: It's the only fat you use?
- 7:09Speaker 2: Yeah, man.
- 7:10Speaker 3: How many ducks do you go through in a week?
- 7:12Speaker 2: Oh, eight to ten.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Far out.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Takes a lot to squeeze it out of them.
- 7:17Speaker 3: G'day there, feelers. Will here. Jordan. Will.i.am. It's Will Jordan.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Will.i.am.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It's Will.i.am. G'day, guys. Will.i.am from Wellington here. I'm having
- 7:30Speaker 3: a roast chook with duck fat potatoes and a vape.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Nice.
- 7:35Speaker 6: Oh, yeah. That's a perfect combo.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Nothing wrong with that.
- 7:37Speaker 3: You know, I would prefer a little bit of gravy there.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I want some greens there, man.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe some steamed broccoli or some beans.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I like the use of two birds, though. Yeah, two birds.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Roast two birds, one meal. G'day there, guys. Craig here. Fitzgibbon.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Bellamy.
- 7:59Speaker 6: David.
- 8:00Speaker 3: It's Craig David. G'day, guys. Craig David here.
- 8:04Speaker 4: I'm having spaghetti and meatballs.
- 8:08Speaker 6: Yeah, okay.
- 8:09Speaker 2: That's tedious.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Pretty boring. That's all right, though.
- 8:12Speaker 6: I like a meatball.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah, as long as it's a good meatball.
- 8:15Speaker 3: No, listen. No, as long as it's a bad meatball.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Is Craig David, was he the one famous for his abs?
- 8:22Speaker 6: No, that was Peter Ondranus.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Oh, that's right, Peter Ondranus.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Remember him? I do.
- 8:26Speaker 2: And he had really spindly sort of hoity-jay legs.
- 8:29Speaker 6: Oh, did he?
- 8:29Speaker 2: Yeah, but he had like the most amazing hair.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Yeah, in the six pack.
- 8:33Speaker 2: In the six pack.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Mysterious girl. G'day fellas, Peter here. Plumlee Walker. Ehrlich. Andre.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Peter Andre, I kind of set that up for you there.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Hey guys, Peter Andre here, having home-brewed bourbon and a
- 8:47Speaker 4: seafood chowder. That is a recipe for a crook guts
- 8:51Speaker 4: right there.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Yeah, that doesn't sound... That sounds like one or the other.
- 8:56Speaker 6: Oil and water.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Well, that's Peter Andre, the guy with the abs, so
- 8:59Speaker 3: I guess he knows what he's doing.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Yeah, true.
- 9:01Speaker 3: G'day there, fellas. Jacob here. Jacob the muss. Duffy. It's
- 9:06Speaker 3: Jacob the muss Duffy. Having a thick meatloaf.
- 9:13Speaker 6: Yeah, nice.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Really thick meat.
- 9:15Speaker 7: Really?
- 9:15Speaker 2: Bit of mash.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Doesn't say.
- 9:17Speaker 6: Just a thick meatloaf.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And some steamed brock.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Steamed brock. Yes, you see the steamed brock here cooked
- 9:23Speaker 3: in duck fat. Any gravy?
- 9:25Speaker 1: Nah.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Want a meatloaf?
- 9:29Speaker 6: Yes.
- 9:31Speaker 5: Oh, g'day, Matt.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Oh, hi, mate, yeah.
- 9:34Speaker 5: Look, if you want the chance to win all our
- 9:36Speaker 5: on-air competitions and stuff and get amongst the live conversation,
- 9:41Speaker 5: tune in to the Hauraki Big Show, four to seven
- 9:45Speaker 5: weekdays on Radio Hauraki and iHeartRadio.
- 9:49Speaker 1: The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 9:53Speaker 1: in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
- 9:55Speaker 2: You too there on the Big Show breakfast. It's Thursday
- 9:58Speaker 2: morning for those of you that are underage unaware.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Good stuff, Jase. For those that also aren't aware, I
- 10:04Speaker 3: have bought a racing pigeon.
- 10:06Speaker 6: How much was it?
- 10:08Speaker 3: $ 400.
- 10:08Speaker 6: I gave $ 400 to a man in.
- 10:13Speaker 7: Timaru.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Pigeon Tim. He then gave me a pigeon. It's raised
- 10:24Speaker 4: in Oamaru, the Oamaru Bird Club, every single weekend. And
- 10:27Speaker 4: this weekend is the final race, fellas. It's the eighth race.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 6: Oh, is it?
- 10:31Speaker 2: Yep.
- 10:31Speaker 4: So they drive him to all different places. The longest one,
- 10:36Speaker 4: I believe, was 420 kilometres back to Oamaru. But they're
- 10:39Speaker 4: releasing them in your Ashburton's, your Christchurch's, your Blenheim's, that
- 10:42Speaker 4: sort of stuff.
- 10:43Speaker 3: This weekend is the final race. It's just a shorty.
- 10:46Speaker 3: It's 250k.
- 10:46Speaker 6: Oh, no. Yeah.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Doesn't do well, your bird, on the short race. Or
- 10:51Speaker 2: the long ones.
- 10:52Speaker 3: No, it's, well, yeah, to be fair.
- 10:54Speaker 6: They're in with the flying.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Anything to do with Flying Mogi, it kind of struggles with.
- 10:58Speaker 4: It finished the first two races out of a possible
- 11:00Speaker 4: 115 birds, finished in.
- 11:02Speaker 3: The 90s twice, and then it was.
- 11:04Speaker 4: 73rd, 38th, and then 31st as the distances got longer.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yes. Most recently, it finished 27th. Was that a couple
- 11:14Speaker 3: of weeks ago? Did they have a race last week?
- 11:15Speaker 3: This weekend, just go on.
- 11:17Speaker 6: 27th.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Just to clarify, by the way, the top 15 birds
- 11:20Speaker 2: are in the money.
- 11:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I think 15 to 5th get $ 100, and then
- 11:24Speaker 4: your 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st get big money, with the
- 11:27Speaker 4: 1st place.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Getting $ 1, 000.
- 11:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 3: So it can pay for itself pretty quick. But 27th, like,
- 11:33Speaker 3: it's clearly getting better, but it's not going to be
- 11:37Speaker 3: in the money ever. No.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Have you ever heard the phrase, Keezy, too little, too late?
- 11:42Speaker 6: No.
- 11:42Speaker 5: No.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Well, there you go.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Oh, does that apply to this?
- 11:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, totally. Oh, wow.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it is too.
- 11:47Speaker 2: It's all very well showing improvement at the end of
- 11:50Speaker 2: the season, but the season's about to end and you're broke.
- 11:53Speaker 6: And the improvement is too little.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Too little.
- 11:55Speaker 3: And it's far too late.
- 11:56Speaker 6: It's too late.
- 11:57Speaker 3: What do you do?
- 11:58Speaker 2: One more raise. You've just blown 400 bucks.
- 12:02Speaker 3: You've got to back it.
- 12:03Speaker 7: And the thing that I guess, you know, makes me,
- 12:06Speaker 7: if there's a silver lining to any of this, Keezy,
- 12:08Speaker 7: is that Jason and I didn't put our money into it.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Yes. Yes. Yeah, so you guys still aren't going to
- 12:13Speaker 3: transfer me your share of that? No. Well, what if
- 12:15Speaker 3: it wins this week and you don't want to share?
- 12:17Speaker 2: Then I will. Then I will. No.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Okay, so.
- 12:22Speaker 6: Depends how much it wins, I guess, right?
- 12:24Speaker 3: If it came first, a thousand bucks, man. We'd each
- 12:26Speaker 3: get two fitty. You know what I mean? Pucks get
- 12:28Speaker 3: two fitty if he transfers me his.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Still waiting on that as well, so... It's a damn shame,
- 12:35Speaker 3: isn't it?
- 12:35Speaker 6: It's a damn shame.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 12:39Speaker 3: The final race is this weekend. Yeah. And then I'm done.
- 12:43Speaker 3: I'm done with pigeon racing. I'm done with Timaru.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yes.
- 12:46Speaker 3: I'm done with guys named Tim.
- 12:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:47Speaker 3: You know what I mean? I'm done with just giving
- 12:49Speaker 3: cash away willy-nilly for nothing.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Unless it comes in first.
- 12:52Speaker 3: In which case.
- 12:52Speaker 2: And then you're fired up and you're buying.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Another three birds.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Yeah, 100%.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Then I'm back in.
- 12:56Speaker 6: Straight down the cas, hitting up the Queen of the Nile.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Yeah, beautiful.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Yeah, of course.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Actually, Pigeon Tim told me that if you play Dakota
- 13:05Speaker 4: by the stereophonics, it's good luck for your bird.
- 13:08Speaker 6: Oh, really?
- 13:08Speaker 3: Yeah. Nah, but here it is though. Yeah, that's right.
- 13:31Speaker 4: So I'm hosting you guys. It's Italian themed. For starter,
- 13:34Speaker 4: we're having margarita skewers, main hearty beef lasagna, just like
- 13:38Speaker 4: Nona used to make, and Tony's cannelloni, and some tiramisu
- 13:42Speaker 4: for dessert. The texts are coming in on 3483. Nothing
- 13:47Speaker 4: screams authentic West Auckland like margarita pizza on a stick
- 13:50Speaker 4: and a beef lasagna. Doesn't sound anything like Italy at all.
- 13:56Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Well, I mean, that person, how do I even know
- 13:58Speaker 3: they've been to Italy? Because when I was in Italy,
- 13:59Speaker 3: all I was eating was lasagna and pizza.
- 14:02Speaker 7: Right.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Hearty lasagna.
- 14:05Speaker 6: Yeah, they call it hearty lasagna. Yes.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Someone here is suggesting I should get rid of the
- 14:10Speaker 4: vegetarian tag. But you have to have a vegetarian option
- 14:13Speaker 4: because we have vegetarians in the group.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Yes.
- 14:15Speaker 7: That's why we're pointing it out there. That's from Giuseppe,
- 14:18Speaker 7: who's a proud Italian from New Plymouth.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Yes.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Just on the skewers there, by the way, my wife
- 14:24Speaker 2: doesn't eat tomatoes, so you might have to take the
- 14:27Speaker 2: tomato off particular skewers.
- 14:29Speaker 6: I don't eat the wood either.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:31Speaker 7: They worry me because I'm blind in one eye as
- 14:33Speaker 7: a result of a fireworks accident when I was a
- 14:35Speaker 7: youngster there. I'm always worried that it's going to slip
- 14:38Speaker 7: and I'll stab myself in my good eye.
- 14:40Speaker 3: What do you mean you're going to slip? How are
- 14:41Speaker 3: you eating it? Just Open your gob and put it
- 14:44Speaker 3: in there.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I once was eating a skewer, actually, Keezy, and I was,
- 14:47Speaker 2: you know, yanking on it so vigorously to get the
- 14:49Speaker 2: meat off it. And then it just went straight through
- 14:52Speaker 2: my throat, right through my neck.
- 14:54Speaker 6: Right out the back of his neck.
- 14:55Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 14:56Speaker 6: I hung my keys on there until the end of
- 14:58Speaker 6: the night. Yeah. So I didn't lose them.
- 14:59Speaker 2: He did. He did, too.
- 15:01Speaker 3: That's right. I think you'll be fine, guys. These are
- 15:04Speaker 3: like little toothpicks, you know, they're little.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 15:06Speaker 3: They're just little.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Yeah. Homemade lasagna sheets?
- 15:10Speaker 6: It's a lasagna.
- 15:11Speaker 2: A lasagna? Are they homemade sheets?
- 15:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Yeah, good.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yeah, they definitely are homemade sheets. Why would that matter, Jase?
- 15:20Speaker 2: Well, because it's got to be authentic, man.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Did you grow the cow? Did I grow the cow?
- 15:26Speaker 6: Yeah, and you're back, I don't know, somewhere, is it? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 5: 100%.
- 15:30Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, good. Angus. Angus beef.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Great text here, 3483. Someone on my side. Real left
- 15:39Speaker 4: field option with the lasagna. Out of the box thinking, Keezy.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 15:43Speaker 2: My concern is that it's literally going to be out
- 15:46Speaker 2: of a box.
- 15:48Speaker 6: I'm hoping it's out of a box. No, no, trust me.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Fellas, trust me. This will be the best lasagna you
- 15:53Speaker 3: have had recently.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Oh, absolutely. I mean, I haven't eaten lasagna for decades.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Yeah, since I was flatting. Is it shredded beef or
- 16:05Speaker 2: is it mince?
- 16:06Speaker 3: Shredded beef?
- 16:07Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's diced beef, like you'd have in a
- 16:09Speaker 4: stir fry, and like a tin of tomatoes, and then
- 16:15Speaker 4: some homemade, which I made with flour and egg, sheets
- 16:18Speaker 4: of lasagna, all right?
- 16:21Speaker 7: This one here, Keezy, nothing screams authentic West Auckland like
- 16:27Speaker 7: margarita pizza on a stick and beef lasagna.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right. Well, we are in West Auckland slash Italy, fellas.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Well, look, I'm glad to see it's gone down super
- 16:36Speaker 4: well with the audience and you guys. And I can't
- 16:39Speaker 4: wait for you to tuck in to old Tony's Trattoria tomorrow, fellas.
