How Do I Loan in the Best Interest of Others? (Nehemiah 5)
Nehemiah 5 shows the richer Jews exploiting the poor with high-interest loans during famine and taxes, forcing them to lose land. Nehemiah angrily confronts the lenders, demands they stop charging interest, restore what was taken, and lend in a way that helps rather than harms their own people. The leaders agree and keep the promise. He himself models this by lending without interest and refusing personal privileges as governor.
