- 2:33Speaker 4: This Friday and Saturday, the fifty sixth annual Capital City
- 2:37Speaker 4: Art and Craft Show back at the Connell Seem Convention Center.
- 2:40Speaker 4: John Robertson is here to talk about it. Good morning, sir,
- 2:42Speaker 4: and welcome to the show.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Good morning, thanks for having us.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Thanks for being here all right, So do want to
- 2:48Speaker 4: mention the show was sponsored by the Kinosity Lions Club.
- 2:51Speaker 4: What about one hundred and fifty years, so, vendors, you
- 2:52Speaker 4: expect we'll.
- 2:53Speaker 7: Have about one hundred and twenty exhibitors in one hundred
- 2:56Speaker 7: and fifty boost. Okay, we'll fill the entire grand hall.
- 3:00Speaker 7: It's thirty six thousand square feet.
- 3:02Speaker 4: And what kind of things will we expect for everything?
- 3:04Speaker 3: You know, and it's there.
- 3:05Speaker 7: And one thing that you'll find is that in our show,
- 3:09Speaker 7: we have turnover every year, so about twenty five percent
- 3:13Speaker 7: of the exhibitors are new to the show. So if
- 3:16Speaker 7: you came last year, you aren't going to see all
- 3:18Speaker 7: the same stuff. There's something new and fresh for you
- 3:21Speaker 7: to see as well.
- 3:21Speaker 4: And what are some of the I mean, I know
- 3:23Speaker 4: you can't have all one hundred and twenty, but give
- 3:25Speaker 4: it weeks out this year.
- 3:26Speaker 7: We do have some painters that are quite accomplished.
- 3:31Speaker 3: It's new.
- 3:32Speaker 7: We have a lot of pottery, a lot of jewelry, woodworking, textiles,
- 3:38Speaker 7: West Virginia food products.
- 3:41Speaker 3: You can go around.
- 3:41Speaker 7: You'll think you're at sam sampling all the things while
- 3:45Speaker 7: you're there.
- 3:45Speaker 3: And that's what I do now.
- 3:47Speaker 4: And I tell you I've said this before, John West
- 3:50Speaker 4: Virginia has got some really good, really talented artistans out there.
- 3:54Speaker 4: But for me, it's all about the food. And we
- 3:57Speaker 4: have some great foods that are made here in West Virginia.
- 4:00Speaker 4: We do, and we'll have them all, several of them
- 4:02Speaker 4: on display. All right, yes, and talk about that relationship.
- 4:06Speaker 4: As we said with the Kanosity Lions Club.
- 4:10Speaker 7: Well, actually the show started fifty six years ago. It
- 4:14Speaker 7: is purely a promotion of the Kano City Lions Club.
- 4:19Speaker 7: They work at all all our members have jobs to do.
- 4:23Speaker 7: And the thing about our show is that one hundred
- 4:26Speaker 7: percent of the net goes to charity. Nothing goes to
- 4:30Speaker 7: administrative So when you do anything with the Lions Club,
- 4:34Speaker 7: you can be assured that it's not the profits aren't
- 4:38Speaker 7: eating up with administrative costs. And over the years, we've
- 4:41Speaker 7: donated one point six million dollars to local charities and
- 4:46Speaker 7: we have some of those that are kind of come
- 4:48Speaker 7: to depend on us each year to help them with
- 4:52Speaker 7: their budget. And then but we're nimble enough that if
- 4:54Speaker 7: there's a flood, if there's food insecurity, that's really prime
- 5:01Speaker 7: situation now that we can be nimble enough that we
- 5:03Speaker 7: can help take care of some of those folks.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Now, talk about the history of the Lions Club. How
- 5:07Speaker 4: long has it been around?
- 5:08Speaker 7: The Canall City Alliance Club was chartered in nineteen fifty
- 5:13Speaker 7: fifty four. Okay I joined in nineteen seventy five and
- 5:18Speaker 7: I'm a fifty year member.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Well, congratulations on that, because Lions Club's always I don't.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Know if I don't know if I want to hang
- 5:24Speaker 3: my head on that or not.
- 5:25Speaker 4: How's your membership, Ben, I mean, because here's the reason
- 5:28Speaker 4: I bring that up. Because several of the civic organizations,
- 5:31Speaker 4: whether it's Lions, Kawana's Rotary, whatever the case, maybe we
- 5:34Speaker 4: have talked about over the years that the membership started
- 5:37Speaker 4: to dwindle a little bit. Maybe it's not just as
- 5:39Speaker 4: important or top of mind. But how's your membership?
- 5:41Speaker 7: Well, when I joined fifty years ago, we had nearly
- 5:44Speaker 7: one hundred members in our club. Now, COVID really hurt
- 5:48Speaker 7: us as well as a lot of service organizations, and
- 5:52Speaker 7: so we're down to thirty members now, okay, but you
- 5:56Speaker 7: know it's an active club. Well that we do pick
- 5:59Speaker 7: up tray.
- 6:00Speaker 4: You can do a lot with thirty members. I mean,
- 6:02Speaker 4: you really can if you got thirty active members, like
- 6:04Speaker 4: you said.
- 6:04Speaker 7: And we support a lot of different activities, you know,
- 6:07Speaker 7: by volunteering as an organization, it would ring the bells
- 6:11Speaker 7: and all kinds of things.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Talk about some of the charities that I mean just
- 6:16Speaker 4: mentioned a few that you've raised funds.
- 6:18Speaker 7: Well, we aren't restricted just to Kanaw City activities. We
- 6:22Speaker 7: are going to affect things throughout the valley, but in
- 6:25Speaker 7: Kanas City itself. We donate six thousand dollars annually to
- 6:28Speaker 7: the schools in Kanas City. Plus we support scholarships at
- 6:32Speaker 7: the University Charleston and Capitol High School. We do project
- 6:37Speaker 7: graduations all over the county. We work with West Virginia Health, Right,
- 6:42Speaker 7: Salvation Army Mountain Mission, so there's.
- 6:45Speaker 3: A whole we touch everybody.
- 6:48Speaker 7: You would be a surprised that the organizations that we
- 6:52Speaker 7: do support in the community.
- 6:53Speaker 4: But Dave Alan Chowing five Any Live is brought to you
- 6:55Speaker 4: in part by your hometown baseball team, the Charleston Dirty Birds,
- 6:58Speaker 4: the Selango Law Light that I returning to go Mark
- 7:01Speaker 4: Ballpark November the twenty first through January the first gets
- 7:03Speaker 4: you tickets in advance by visiting dB Lightthnight dot com.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Please make sure that you get those tickets in advance.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Definitely the way to go now if somebody is listening
- 7:11Speaker 4: right now and they are a vendor is because it's
- 7:13Speaker 4: too late to sign up.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Or yes, we just closed it off yesterday.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Okay, how many people just a ballpark come through the doors.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Every year, we'll do about seven thousand.
- 7:22Speaker 4: But seven thousand people over the two days.
- 7:24Speaker 3: It's just two days.
- 7:26Speaker 7: Years ago we were three days, but we found that
- 7:29Speaker 7: Sundays weren't very productive right yet, so we cut it
- 7:31Speaker 7: to two.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Yeah. Sometimes, I mean Sundays used to be people would
- 7:34Speaker 4: attend things like that after church and whatever. But it's
- 7:38Speaker 4: got I guess different activities right and stuff down. Well,
- 7:41Speaker 4: it's going to be a great time. It always is
- 7:43Speaker 4: over there. Appreciate the tickets, by the way, I want
- 7:45Speaker 4: to be checking it out this weekend. And you know,
- 7:48Speaker 4: just kind of an advertising cliche John to say there
- 7:50Speaker 4: is something for everybody, but there really is something for everybody.
- 7:53Speaker 4: There is talk about some of your favorite things there.
- 7:56Speaker 7: Well, you know, over the years, my wife and I
- 7:58Speaker 7: have spent a lot of money. We've got enough stuff
- 8:03Speaker 7: right now so we're uh, but we I buy a
- 8:07Speaker 7: lot of the food products now and but you know,
- 8:10Speaker 7: it's it's a great place to do if you want
- 8:14Speaker 7: to refresh your holiday, ta corps to find new things
- 8:17Speaker 7: to add. Also great place to buy something unique. Because
- 8:20Speaker 7: I'm gonna say big box stores, you know you got
- 8:24Speaker 7: that special person that you've bought enough sweaters or you
- 8:28Speaker 7: have too much of the same thing, and something unique
- 8:31Speaker 7: means something, and so we I think a lot of
- 8:35Speaker 7: people enjoy doing that.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I've been saying people probably do their their Christmas
- 8:38Speaker 4: shopping too.
- 8:39Speaker 3: That's right.
- 8:40Speaker 4: When to come up. Now you're doing something special. I understand.
- 8:42Speaker 4: For the first and fifty, the.
- 8:44Speaker 7: First two hundred we are this year's ago. We have
- 8:46Speaker 7: we print up some counterfeit money. You get the first
- 8:51Speaker 7: two hundred and fifty people through the door get a
- 8:53Speaker 7: discount coupon. We're the purchase of an item in the
- 8:57Speaker 7: show at a dollar off. And then also we we're
- 9:00Speaker 7: doing a collection of food product with Mountain Mission. They'll
- 9:04Speaker 7: have a box truck parked right at the front door
- 9:06Speaker 7: into the convention hall, and if you bring a non
- 9:11Speaker 7: perishable food product one or twenty, you'll get a discount
- 9:16Speaker 7: coupon for admission into the show. The mission into the
- 9:18Speaker 7: show is seven dollars for adults, two dollars for children
- 9:22Speaker 7: twelve and under. And then also we have a group
- 9:24Speaker 7: from the Appalachian Children's Choir that we'll be performing at
- 9:28Speaker 7: one o'clock on Saturday.
- 9:30Speaker 4: All right, this all sounds good and I love the
- 9:32Speaker 4: fact that you're collecting nonperishable food items, because as you said,
- 9:35Speaker 4: that's kind of I mean, the folks at Mountain Mission
- 9:38Speaker 4: and these other organizations do great work anyway, but over
- 9:40Speaker 4: the last couple of weeks with the government shut down
- 9:43Speaker 4: and everything back, it's still going to take some time
- 9:45Speaker 4: to get people back on there, even though the snap
- 9:47Speaker 4: benefits have been restored to get people back on their
- 9:49Speaker 4: feet again.
- 9:50Speaker 7: And while we normally hold off until the first quarter
- 9:54Speaker 7: of the year to make the bulk of our donations,
- 9:57Speaker 7: we voted to accelerate our country annual contributions to Salvation Army,
- 10:02Speaker 7: Mountain Mission, Meals on Wheels, the groups that are helping
- 10:08Speaker 7: with food insecurities.
- 10:10Speaker 4: It's all good, I mean, sounds great, and it's all
- 10:14Speaker 4: happening this Friday and Saturday over the Connell Suma Convention Center.
- 10:17Speaker 4: And we've got information available on you guys got social
- 10:20Speaker 4: media or websites or anything.
- 10:21Speaker 7: Website or assume me our Facebook page would be the
- 10:24Speaker 7: best place to go. And that's Capital City Art and
- 10:26Speaker 7: Craft Show.
- 10:27Speaker 4: All right, and give us the hours again.
- 10:30Speaker 7: The hours on Friday are one until seven and on
- 10:35Speaker 7: Saturday or ten am until seven pm.
- 10:38Speaker 4: All right, Well, it sounds like a good time. It
- 10:39Speaker 4: always is, and it's always very well attend That's amazing.
- 10:42Speaker 4: I mean, I've had you on as long as I've
- 10:44Speaker 4: been doing the show. I've had you on every year
- 10:46Speaker 4: to talk about it. But I didn't realize that there
- 10:47Speaker 4: were that many people that came through the door. Seven
- 10:49Speaker 4: thousand people for two days.
- 10:51Speaker 3: It's very popular.
- 10:52Speaker 4: All right, John, we appreciate you. Stop and buy and
- 10:55Speaker 4: we'll see you this weekend.
- 10:56Speaker 7: I wanted to say too, my appreciation is you specific

- 14:41Speaker 4: How you doing, man? I can't complain sometimes I still do,

- 14:44Speaker 4: It's been good to me so far, but no one can.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Should be a song, but no one cares. All right
- 14:49Speaker 4: to you, big arch and crafts kind of guy.
- 14:51Speaker 13: That's not really my scene. But you know, uh well,
- 14:56Speaker 13: it depends on how we're defining arts and crafts. I
- 14:58Speaker 13: suppose there was a time when when my fine motor
- 15:02Speaker 13: skills still worked, that I was a journeyman cabinet maker.
- 15:04Speaker 13: So I mean there's a little bit of that, a
- 15:06Speaker 13: little bit of we're working.
- 15:07Speaker 4: My past right, So I'm the least artistic person in
- 15:11Speaker 4: the world. I mean literally, I mean, let's tell you
- 15:13Speaker 4: what a bad artist I was, even as a kid
- 15:15Speaker 4: growing up. Okay, how bad were you? I mean, I'm
- 15:18Speaker 4: going to tell you how bad I was. When I
- 15:19Speaker 4: was a kid and they would have art in school,
- 15:22Speaker 4: like you know, at the end of the day, they
- 15:23Speaker 4: would my art was so bad. How bad was that?
- 15:26Speaker 4: I'm going to tell you it was so bad that
- 15:29Speaker 4: the my elementary school teacher would let me read encyclopedias
- 15:34Speaker 4: instead and that's what when it came to when it
- 15:37Speaker 4: came to Art's time, that's what. That's what Little David
- 15:41Speaker 4: got up and went over and got the a encyclopedia
- 15:44Speaker 4: and read it. Now it served me well because I
- 15:48Speaker 4: have a head full of you know nothing right now,
- 15:50Speaker 4: and I can answer a lot of questions on Jeopardy,
- 15:52Speaker 4: but don't ask me to draw anything. As you say,
- 15:54Speaker 4: you know all the countries in Africa because you studied
- 15:57Speaker 4: that A. Yeah, I only had the one I ever made.
- 16:00Speaker 13: It to the other well, that was the one they
- 16:01Speaker 13: got free. That was the that was that was the
- 16:03Speaker 13: first hits free version of encyclopedias. And yeah, all right,
- 16:08Speaker 13: so we're ready to drop some turkeys on Thursday, talk
- 16:10Speaker 13: about yes please, So from seven in the morning until
- 16:12Speaker 13: six in the evening here at eleven eleven Virginia Street East.
- 16:16Speaker 13: That's if you're a GPS plugger in or if you
- 16:17Speaker 13: need a cross street Leon Sullivan and then you know,
- 16:20Speaker 13: make the left onto Virginia Street because that's the only
- 16:22Speaker 13: way you can go their one way streets right next
- 16:24Speaker 13: to First Prez whatever whatever you need as a down
- 16:27Speaker 13: the street from Charleston Catholic. Yes, however, however, you need
- 16:30Speaker 13: to get here. We want to see you between seven
- 16:32Speaker 13: and six on Thursday. Loop through our parking lot and
- 16:36Speaker 13: make a donation to Union Mission. We are specifically looking
- 16:39Speaker 13: for frozen turkeys. It's the hardest thing to get donated
- 16:43Speaker 13: for the holiday meal because it's the most expensive. It
- 16:46Speaker 13: takes up the most space, so storing it is difficult,
- 16:48Speaker 13: and it's perishable. It's not like you can you know,
- 16:51Speaker 13: you can stack it in the corner of the garage
- 16:53Speaker 13: and have it be safe. So working with Jason at
- 16:56Speaker 13: Union Mission, we know that the Thursday before thanks Giving
- 17:00Speaker 13: is the sweet spot on when we get those turkeys
- 17:02Speaker 13: and can get them distributed to families in needs so
- 17:05Speaker 13: that they can all have or at least as many
- 17:07Speaker 13: of them as we can support, can have a festive
- 17:10Speaker 13: holiday meal. I believe every family deserves that. And cash
- 17:14Speaker 13: and check donations also warmly accepted. You'd be amazed at
- 17:18Speaker 13: how far they can stretch the green at Union Mission.
- 17:22Speaker 13: So Appalachian Power Company is on board. Thank you to
- 17:24Speaker 13: APCO for powering this whole thing this year. And I
- 17:28Speaker 13: will be in a in a turkey, so there will
- 17:30Speaker 13: be a six foot turkey out on six foot one
- 17:33Speaker 13: inch Turkey out on the parking lot.
- 17:35Speaker 4: And we have some other great sponsors. I know Accent
- 17:37Speaker 4: construction is part of Serve pro Appleachia Power. I mean,
- 17:41Speaker 4: you know there are some other We can't do anything
- 17:43Speaker 4: without our sponsors, but more importantly without our listeners. Yes,
- 17:46Speaker 4: because I've said time and time and time again, Rob,
- 17:50Speaker 4: we have the greatest listeners in the world. If you
- 17:53Speaker 4: don't think we have the greatest listeners in the world,
- 17:54Speaker 4: let me tell you a quick story. On Friday, on
- 17:58Speaker 4: the Adopt Me Please ped of the Week, I had
- 18:00Speaker 4: a pig by the name of Amy swinehouse all right
- 18:03Speaker 4: later in the show because the pig's owner had died, okay,
- 18:07Speaker 4: and so they're trying to find a home for this pig.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Angie and the fine folks up at the animal shelter said,
- 18:12Speaker 4: we're not really in the pig business here. When I
- 18:16Speaker 4: text Angie during the midday show and I said, hey,
- 18:19Speaker 4: how are we doing? There were people waiting up there
- 18:21Speaker 4: to adopt Amy's swinehouse that heard it on this show.
- 18:25Speaker 4: They were waiting when they opened the doors up there.
- 18:27Speaker 4: If only they'd had an Anthony Porkins to go with it,
- 18:30Speaker 4: I think we would have so I say that to
- 18:33Speaker 4: say we have the greatest listeners in the world, and
- 18:34Speaker 4: they come through every year we do West Virginians take
- 18:38Speaker 4: care of West Virginians. And this is a particularly tough
- 18:42Speaker 4: year in addition to all of the regular things. And
- 18:45Speaker 4: I can quote one in six West Virginian's food insecure,
- 18:49Speaker 4: one in four children food insecure. But with the government
- 18:53Speaker 4: shut down and everybody feels some kind of way about
- 18:56Speaker 4: that and politics free zone on our show down the Hall,
- 19:01Speaker 4: but who no matter whose fault you think that shut
- 19:03Speaker 4: down is, it made things even.
- 19:07Speaker 13: More difficult for folks who were already in need, and
- 19:10Speaker 13: getting things moving again has been tough. So it's an
- 19:13Speaker 13: even tougher year. This is our third annual and it
- 19:15Speaker 13: may be the most important year that we have done this.
- 19:17Speaker 4: And again the folks at Union Mission were on site.
- 19:20Speaker 4: They'll be out here with the with the freezer truck
- 19:23Speaker 4: ready to go. You don't even have to get out
- 19:25Speaker 4: of your car. That's one of the great things about this.
- 19:27Speaker 13: And it's going to be a decent day on Thursday,
- 19:29Speaker 13: cloudy in sixty two. I'm actually worried about being a
- 19:32Speaker 13: little warm in that giant turkey suit that I'm going
- 19:34Speaker 13: to be in but first world problems. Yeah, we just
- 19:38Speaker 13: hand us the turkey through the window, or if we
- 19:41Speaker 13: got ten of them in the back, pop the hatch.
- 19:44Speaker 4: We will grab them for you. You do not have
- 19:46Speaker 4: to lift a finger. And there were some I got
- 19:49Speaker 4: a text last week and I don't I know Pigley
- 19:53Speaker 4: Wigglely is.
- 19:54Speaker 9: Doing some sales.
- 19:55Speaker 13: I know that kroger has had some sales or I'm sorry,
- 19:58Speaker 13: we properly call it here Virginia.
- 20:00Speaker 4: The Kroger's is.
- 20:03Speaker 13: Doing some sales. So wherever you get your turkey is fantastic.
- 20:08Speaker 13: Even better is tho Casher check donations because of the
- 20:11Speaker 13: buying power in bulk that Union mission has. But I
- 20:15Speaker 13: know there are some people that need something tangible. They
- 20:17Speaker 13: have to have something to hand over, and that's why
- 20:20Speaker 13: a frozen turkey is perfect.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Talking to Rob Brioll from Superstar Country Kuble. Yes, our
- 20:24Speaker 4: turkey drop starts at seven a m. On Thursday morning
- 20:27Speaker 4: to Dave Allen Show on five vide Line. Brought to
- 20:29Speaker 4: you in part by Bridge Valley Community of Technical College.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Insurance agents are in demand in the States and across
- 20:34Speaker 4: the country. Bridge Valley can help you take that first step.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Their insurance pre Sales Licenser course prepared to to sit

- 20:45Speaker 4: dot edu is the website Bridge Valley dot eedu Bridge
- 20:47Speaker 4: Valley Community and Technical College. Your career starts here. And
- 20:50Speaker 4: and I want to mention that again about the buying
- 20:52Speaker 4: power that they have. Again, I mean, radio people, because
- 20:57Speaker 4: of our pay are are good at stretching dollars. We
- 21:02Speaker 4: ain't got nothing on these folks though, Rob No.
- 21:04Speaker 13: It's really amazing what Jason and everybody on down at
- 21:09Speaker 13: Union Mission can do with a dollar feeding Like what
- 21:13Speaker 13: I want to say, it's like twelve meals. But you know,
- 21:18Speaker 13: I don't want to be wrong. It's something almost absurd
- 21:22Speaker 13: like that that they can do with the buying power.
- 21:25Speaker 13: And I know that there are folks who have their
- 21:27Speaker 13: reservations because of past scandals with other organizations, and it's
- 21:32Speaker 13: not like that over at Union Mission. Believe me, I've
- 21:34Speaker 13: been over there and met the folks and everything is
- 21:36Speaker 13: on the up and up, so you can feel confident
- 21:40Speaker 13: whether it's cash or a check donation.
- 21:42Speaker 4: That you want to make. I found that text that
- 21:44Speaker 4: actually came through on Thursday when you were here, And
- 21:46Speaker 4: I don't know whether this is still an effect or not,
- 21:49Speaker 4: but the text on Thursday so that Kroger frozen holed
- 21:52Speaker 4: turkeys were on sale for seventy nine cents a pound,
- 21:55Speaker 4: and that sale started last week, and the textra said
- 21:58Speaker 4: not sure if the twenty five dollars purchase it quiet.
- 22:00Speaker 4: I know it's ninety nine cents per pound for butter balls,
- 22:02Speaker 4: Pigley Wiggly which you mentioned, twenty nine cents a pound
- 22:05Speaker 4: with a fifty dollars purchase. That was as of last Thursday.
- 22:07Speaker 4: I'm not sure if those prices were still in the fact,
- 22:09Speaker 4: but bottom line is most grocers will put them on
- 22:11Speaker 4: sale anyway as we get closer to Thanksgiving because they
- 22:13Speaker 4: don't have a hard time, you know, moving them at
- 22:16Speaker 4: that time. So they're gonna be specially priced probably wherever
- 22:18Speaker 4: you go.
- 22:19Speaker 13: And if you want to do a donation like seventy
- 22:21Speaker 13: nine cents per pound, I come in about two, twenty two,
- 22:23Speaker 13: twenty one, whatever it takes. So when you see me
- 22:25Speaker 13: in the turkey costume, you want to donate seventy nine
- 22:28Speaker 13: cents a pound, I'm not going to map that out
- 22:30Speaker 13: for you by one hundred and ninety bucks.
- 22:33Speaker 4: All right, all right, just throwing that out there, seven
- 22:35Speaker 4: am till six pm. On our part, we're going to
- 22:37Speaker 4: have you on each day to talk about it. And again,
- 22:40Speaker 4: the weather not horrible, because we've done some things in
- 22:43Speaker 4: the outdoors when we battled rain and snow and ice,
- 22:46Speaker 4: and but we do a couple of things like this
- 22:49Speaker 4: a year, and our listeners always always step up. And
- 22:53Speaker 4: it always amazes me too. And I'll say this is
- 22:56Speaker 4: as politely as I can. When you see people that
- 22:59Speaker 4: pull up on our parking lot and you just you know,
- 23:03Speaker 4: maybe they don't have the newest car in the world.
- 23:05Speaker 4: It's looks like, you know, we've all seen a duct
- 23:07Speaker 4: tape bumper. It's a radio car basically. It's you know,
- 23:11Speaker 4: you see them pull up. But those are the people
- 23:13Speaker 4: that always donate.
- 23:14Speaker 13: I you know, I grew up in one of those
- 23:15Speaker 13: families where first thing on Thanksgiving morning we went out
- 23:18Speaker 13: and we went turkey hunting because if we didn't get one,
- 23:20Speaker 13: we weren't going to have a turkey.
- 23:21Speaker 4: So I come by this honestly, and I.
- 23:24Speaker 13: Know that those are the folks maybe who are who
- 23:27Speaker 13: are most emotionally invested in feeding folks in need, and.
- 23:31Speaker 4: The turkey is very important because you can't really it's
- 23:34Speaker 4: kind of hard to kind of hard to go out
- 23:37Speaker 4: green bean cast role hunting on Thanksgiving morning.
- 23:39Speaker 13: Yes, although Nancy's green gunk, we still don't know where
- 23:43Speaker 13: that comes from.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Am I the only person in the world whereb that
- 23:46Speaker 4: loves green bean castrole? I really like. I don't think
- 23:48Speaker 4: you're the only one. I think it depends on what
- 23:50Speaker 4: goes in it.
- 23:50Speaker 13: I mean, if it doesn't have the cream mushroom soup
- 23:52Speaker 13: and the onion straws over the top, I want no
- 23:54Speaker 13: part of it.
- 23:55Speaker 4: I there's not any part of the Thanksgiving meal I
- 23:57Speaker 4: don't like though. I mean, that's that's the thing. Yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 4: you want to what was your favorite part of the show?
- 24:02Speaker 4: And yes, exactly, exactly like a good Statler and Waldorf
- 24:06Speaker 4: on my way out the sport? Do you know you
- 24:08Speaker 4: were talking? I throw this in here because anytime you've
- 24:10Speaker 4: met Rob and I together, Lord knows what's gonna happen.
- 24:12Speaker 4: There's a reason you have a show again, exactly. But
- 24:16Speaker 4: Johnny Carson had this theory that there was only one
- 24:19Speaker 4: fruitcake in the world and it just kept getting passed
- 24:21Speaker 4: from person to person. Yes, I actually and I believe
- 24:24Speaker 4: that fruitcake was less tra Mannix. Oh no wait, I'm sorry,
- 24:26Speaker 4: that was Dick Cabot. Never mind, I actually like fruitcake too.
- 24:29Speaker 9: You're the one.
- 24:30Speaker 4: It's the one. You're the one, all right, Rob Real,
- 24:33Speaker 4: our sister station ninety six one KWS. But again, this
- 24:36Speaker 4: is kind of your baby. But we're all going to
- 24:37Speaker 4: be out there in the mountain to beat V one
- 24:39Speaker 4: hundred one. I'll be out there. You're gonna be hearing
- 24:41Speaker 4: a lot about it on all of our stations. And
- 24:43Speaker 4: when we say that little the little tones at the
- 24:45Speaker 4: top of the hour, that sound like happy birthday. Ever
- 24:47Speaker 4: since BT Brian Thompson pointed that out to me, I
- 24:51Speaker 4: cannot get that out of my head. The first four
- 24:53Speaker 4: notes of Country Roads, It's almost okay to me, it's
- 24:57Speaker 4: happy birthday. Okay, So you didn't do well music.
- 25:00Speaker 13: Class as well as our Now what you're saying, I
- 25:02Speaker 13: played the radio. He was reading the z Encyclopedia and
- 25:06Speaker 13: music class. But my point is is that we are
- 25:08Speaker 13: proud to live here too. That's why we do these.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Yes, Rob Real Superstar Country KWS seven am six pm

- 28:19Speaker 4: You're still a veteran. Rob Real who we had in
- 28:22Speaker 4: here earlier is is a marine, and he likes to
- 28:25Speaker 4: correct people who say you're a former marine because you're
- 28:28Speaker 4: never a former marine. You're always a marine.
- 28:29Speaker 6: Is that's the gentleman?
- 28:30Speaker 4: Yes here, yeah, okay, Morning morning show hosts ninety six
- 28:34Speaker 4: to one KWS. We're doing our turkey drop on Thursday,
- 28:38Speaker 4: seven am to six pm. So people want to drive
- 28:40Speaker 4: through a parking lot and donate a turkey to us.
- 28:43Speaker 4: We're giving it to working with folks at Union Mission
- 28:45Speaker 4: on that seven am to six pm.
- 28:47Speaker 5: What is.
- 28:52Speaker 6: What I wonder when he was in the Marine Corps?
- 28:54Speaker 6: Did he say, I don't.
- 28:56Speaker 4: He's a couple of years younger than I am, and
- 28:58Speaker 4: I'm fifty five and Rob's like few the one fifty two,
- 29:01Speaker 4: So I don't. So he would have been, you know,
- 29:03Speaker 4: I'm going to guests late eighties, early early to mid nineties.
- 29:07Speaker 6: Yeah, so he ended up seems like yesterday and it
- 29:10Speaker 6: was actually fifty five years ago. I mean, it's unbelievable.
- 29:16Speaker 4: All right. So I am holding in my hand the book.
- 29:20Speaker 4: When you started talking about this thing? What how long?
- 29:23Speaker 4: When did you start actually working on the book a
- 29:26Speaker 4: year ago? Okay? Because I remember having you on the
- 29:29Speaker 4: show a few years ago and I asked you about
- 29:32Speaker 4: writing a book. I think somebody even texted and said
- 29:35Speaker 4: you should write a book, and you told me then
- 29:36Speaker 4: you were you were thoroughly against it.
- 29:39Speaker 6: But was thoroughly against I just didn't. I don't want
- 29:41Speaker 6: to hurt people, and I didn't hurt anybody in that book.
- 29:45Speaker 6: I didn't. I mean, I don't think I did.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Okay.
- 29:48Speaker 6: I told some personal stories and some conflicts I had
- 29:52Speaker 6: within my family. And there's nobody I heard that's alive.
- 29:59Speaker 8: U.
- 30:01Speaker 6: But it's Harry MacLean, the guy who wrote in Broad Daylight.
- 30:15Speaker 6: He said from nineteen seventy four, when you get to
- 30:18Speaker 6: nineteen seventy four, that's riding High, that's that chapter. When
- 30:24Speaker 6: you get from there to nineteen eighty four, it is
- 30:29Speaker 6: a puzzle to figure out he went from that to
- 30:33Speaker 6: be in sheriff for Connall County. It's just I look
- 30:38Speaker 6: back on it, I can't believe it, you know.
- 30:41Speaker 4: And what's interesting to me. And I'm reading from the
- 30:43Speaker 4: back of the book here and a lot of people
- 30:46Speaker 4: may not know this about you. People that have been
- 30:48Speaker 4: around Charleston and a wild man. I know you, but
- 30:50Speaker 4: I mean may not know this. But you were born
- 30:52Speaker 4: you say born into a world of privilege, yearning for authenticity.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Explain that, well, I.
- 31:07Speaker 6: I would go to school and people would tell me,
- 31:10Speaker 6: you know, your parents have so much money. Well they
- 31:13Speaker 6: never showed me any of it.
- 31:16Speaker 2: And I.
- 31:24Speaker 6: When you're from over the part where the old Clark
- 31:27Speaker 6: House was, you know where the murder was, there weren't
- 31:30Speaker 6: a lot of kids over there, and so there wasn't
- 31:35Speaker 6: I wanted to be over on Oakmont Road where the
- 31:38Speaker 6: baseball was, where the baseball field was. But I don't,
- 31:47Speaker 6: I mean, I don't know. I don't know how to
- 31:49Speaker 6: quite answer that. I know that my life changed. There's
- 31:55Speaker 6: a chapter in there called Richard Butler, and he's around
- 32:02Speaker 6: and he we would hang around a pool room called
- 32:08Speaker 6: the Hub. There was he and I and George Jarrett
- 32:14Speaker 6: and none of us had a pot or a window,
- 32:17Speaker 6: I mean nothing. And a guy came in there one
- 32:21Speaker 6: night named Jay Sugarman. J Sugarman went to Morris Harvey
- 32:28Speaker 6: and lived at the Worthy Hotel.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Which is now the University of Charleston, not the hotel,
- 32:33Speaker 4: I mean Moore's Harvey.
- 32:34Speaker 6: Yeah, the hotel has been torn down, and it was
- 32:37Speaker 6: over there next to the Quarter Diner, and he worked
- 32:42Speaker 6: up there at the Roaring twenties, and that's when liquor
- 32:48Speaker 6: was illegal. That's when Charleston really thrived. When booze was illegal,
- 32:53Speaker 6: Charleston rocked and he said he needed somebody to wash
- 33:00Speaker 6: glasses for ten dollars a night. Richard jumped at it
- 33:05Speaker 6: and then he learned a ten bar and then George
- 33:08Speaker 6: went up there.
- 33:11Speaker 3: And he.
- 33:12Speaker 6: Started washing glasses. Well, I mean I looked fourteen years old.
- 33:17Speaker 6: I couldn't go up there. So I went back to
- 33:20Speaker 6: the Sterling. I had worked through the Sterling through the summer,
- 33:25Speaker 6: and I went back to the Sterling and worked there
- 33:28Speaker 6: until I got out of high school. And worked every
- 33:32Speaker 6: single job in the restaurant plus the main line cook
- 33:37Speaker 6: and I'm on the weekends.
- 33:40Speaker 7: And it was.
- 33:43Speaker 6: So I had money to walk around on and we
- 33:46Speaker 6: all had money. Then we all have None of us
- 33:48Speaker 6: had cars. I mean I had a car, but I
- 33:51Speaker 6: didn't have a driver's license. And I guess that's when
- 33:59Speaker 6: I fell offense. When I had a job. And then
- 34:04Speaker 6: I started working at the filling station at the same
- 34:07Speaker 6: time I was working Sterling. And then I built a
- 34:11Speaker 6: race car and raced it one trophies with it. Guy
- 34:16Speaker 6: got killed running me with it.
- 34:18Speaker 4: You've told that, You've told me that story before. It's
- 34:20Speaker 4: a tract. And cars are always have always been very
- 34:23Speaker 4: important to you.
- 34:25Speaker 6: I love old cars.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Do you have what do you have now?
- 34:29Speaker 6: That Cadillac? And then I have, uh, well, here's a
- 34:32Speaker 6: Cadillac fifty nine. And then I have the Nomad which
- 34:37Speaker 6: I raced, which I'm redoing. It's gonna cost It'll cost
- 34:43Speaker 6: two hundred thousand dollars by the time I get done
- 34:46Speaker 6: with that car. It's everything in it. It's set for
- 34:51Speaker 6: forty years, set in my brother's garage. He became somewhat
- 34:57Speaker 6: of a hoarder.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Yeah, you to say, and none of us had come from,
- 35:03Speaker 4: you know, the world of leave it to Beaver. Okay,
- 35:05Speaker 4: we've all got back. But you know, I think people
- 35:10Speaker 4: that don't know your story, Danny, might be a little
- 35:13Speaker 4: surprised that you know, you didn't. And I touched on
- 35:17Speaker 4: this earlier. You can come from exactly the best family.
- 35:20Speaker 4: You came from a family with money, but money, money,
- 35:23Speaker 4: money ain't everything.
- 35:24Speaker 6: It's in the book.
- 35:25Speaker 4: Yeah, it's all in the book.
- 35:26Speaker 6: It's all in the book.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Was it painful for you to write some of those things? Yes,
- 35:36Speaker 4: I mean I just always wonder when people. And I
- 35:38Speaker 4: had had a bunch of musicians, you know, the guys
- 35:40Speaker 4: from am of Steel Band on the show Friday. And
- 35:42Speaker 4: always like to ask people that write music or that
- 35:45Speaker 4: write anything, what your writing process like? You know, you
- 35:48Speaker 4: sit down, I'm gonna write so much today you just
- 35:51Speaker 4: walk around with a notepad or record or your phone
- 35:53Speaker 4: and you make notes in it or whatever. Did you
- 35:55Speaker 4: take time when you actually just sat down and just
- 35:58Speaker 4: wrote no charge.
- 36:00Speaker 6: Well, there's a chapter in there because she kept hitting me.
- 36:07Speaker 6: I wrote that one years ago. I just wrote it,
- 36:11Speaker 6: and uh so that's in the book. That was painful.
- 36:20Speaker 6: And my mother and I had a very tense competitive
- 36:30Speaker 6: relationship and we got along the last ten years of
- 36:39Speaker 6: her life. And I'll tell you a story. This is
- 36:48Speaker 6: one of my favorite stories. It's in the book. There
- 36:52Speaker 6: was a house up on Norwood Road. This is in
- 36:55Speaker 6: the book twenty seven Norwood Road. And my mother wanted
- 37:01Speaker 6: me to buy the house, you know, and I said,
- 37:07Speaker 6: I looked at the house. It was a little house,
- 37:09Speaker 6: two bedroom, and I thought they won one hundred and
- 37:13Speaker 6: twenty five, one hundred and twenty nine whatever it was.
- 37:18Speaker 6: I paid one hundred quarter for it. But she said
- 37:23Speaker 6: you should buy this house. And I know what she
- 37:26Speaker 6: wanted to do. She wanted to patch up things, and
- 37:29Speaker 6: she wanted to be around the grandson, because Zach at
- 37:32Speaker 6: that time was a really sweet kid.
- 37:36Speaker 8: And so.
- 37:40Speaker 6: I called Frank Veltry and I said, come up here
- 37:44Speaker 6: and look at this house with me. And he looked
- 37:47Speaker 6: at the house. He says, the property, the lot's worth
- 37:52Speaker 6: one hundred and twenty five thousand, and the house is free. Well,
- 37:56Speaker 6: my dad had just died and he left me on
- 38:00Speaker 6: one thousand dollars, and plus I had some more money,
- 38:03Speaker 6: so I just wrote a check for the house and
- 38:05Speaker 6: moved in it. So she came in the house with me,
- 38:10Speaker 6: and she looked at this and that and the other,
- 38:13Speaker 6: and she's going to change this and that and the other.
- 38:16Speaker 6: And then she walked in the living room and there
- 38:21Speaker 6: was a Sears fan in the living room, those little
- 38:25Speaker 6: drop lights, you know what I'm talking about, little droopy lights.
- 38:29Speaker 6: And she says, and I want rid of that GD
- 38:32Speaker 6: fan like that. And I knew that if I was
- 38:37Speaker 6: going to have to stop her anywhere, I was gonna
- 38:40Speaker 6: have to stop her at the fan. So I waited
- 38:45Speaker 6: till she left, and I went down to her house.
- 38:50Speaker 6: I said, Mom, you don't have to worry about anything
- 38:53Speaker 6: inside the house. She had a guy that worked for
- 38:56Speaker 6: that did landscaping. I said, do you want to do
- 38:59Speaker 6: the outside and put box shruved around the house. So
- 39:04Speaker 6: I kept her out of the house. And she didn't
- 39:08Speaker 6: like it at all, and for the rest of her life.
- 39:11Speaker 6: She lived for three more years. She drive a big
- 39:14Speaker 6: Lincoln and had a big plate glass window there. I
- 39:17Speaker 6: never closed the drapes. I didn't have to. I didn't
- 39:20Speaker 6: get dressed there. It was a living room and she's
- 39:23Speaker 6: looking their see if the fam was still there.
- 39:26Speaker 4: Fan was kind of symbolic.
- 39:28Speaker 6: I guess, well, if somebody is encroaching on your turf,
- 39:35Speaker 6: if somebody is being codependent with you, if they're violating
- 39:41Speaker 6: your space, find out where the fan is.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Pretty deep but a violand showing five D line. Brought

- 40:05Speaker 4: point of your life did your mother past? How old
- 40:06Speaker 4: were you or what time was it I was or
- 40:09Speaker 4: what were you in life? Is what I'm trying to say.
- 40:11Speaker 6: It was forty eight and I was doing I was
- 40:19Speaker 6: working State.
- 40:20Speaker 2: I was.
- 40:22Speaker 6: Working at the working at Transportation, which was a big mistake.
- 40:29Speaker 4: I was gonna say.
- 40:30Speaker 6: I didn't as long as I've known it, I didn't
- 40:32Speaker 6: know that you worked at WAS. I had Brent Walker job, okay,
- 40:35Speaker 6: and now I didn't know that. And then Sam Banasso
- 40:38Speaker 6: needed to get confirmed. And as soon as I got
- 40:41Speaker 6: him confirmed, I was out of there and I went back.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Up to.
- 40:46Speaker 6: Up on the hill to another the other radio things
- 40:50Speaker 6: down the dial right, and I worked there for about
- 40:53Speaker 6: a year and then they decided they were going to
- 40:57Speaker 6: change things.
- 40:59Speaker 4: But here you are still on the radio.
- 41:02Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 6: I like the radio.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Well you're good at it.
- 41:05Speaker 6: Well, I like it. I mean, I like radio. I
- 41:08Speaker 6: like listening to it.
- 41:10Speaker 4: You know, there was a I don't know if you
- 41:11Speaker 4: caught it, but over the weekend, I think it was
- 41:14Speaker 4: on Saturday on the CBS Sunday Morning News. I just
- 41:18Speaker 4: happen to have it on on that channel, and they
- 41:21Speaker 4: were talking about the resurgence of radio, and I told
- 41:24Speaker 4: my wife and so I got to watch it and
- 41:26Speaker 4: it was all about serious satellite though, which is still.
- 41:31Speaker 4: I mean, like I'm a serious satellite subscriber mainly when
- 41:33Speaker 4: I drove a lot.
- 41:34Speaker 6: But it does it doesn't not do this well, it's
- 41:38Speaker 6: you know, it does not do this though.
- 41:41Speaker 4: Agree, I mean, they're still and.
- 41:43Speaker 6: I use it when I'm traveling, when I'm on the road.
- 41:48Speaker 6: I don't use it in town here. Yeah. But also
- 41:52Speaker 6: forget serious or radio. What about all the podcasts that
- 41:56Speaker 6: are out there.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Yeah, there's there's a lot. Yeah, there's a lot of
- 42:01Speaker 4: podcasts out there right now. They're really really there, but
- 42:03Speaker 4: they're I mean, look, people have been saying for years
- 42:06Speaker 4: that radio was was dying, and it's not. What is
- 42:11Speaker 4: changing is what has been changing over the last twenty
- 42:14Speaker 4: years is the way that people consume radio. You know,
- 42:18Speaker 4: I mean shows like this, you know, whether it's news
- 42:21Speaker 4: or sports or whatever. You know, half your listeners aren't
- 42:24Speaker 4: listening live, they're listening later.
- 42:26Speaker 2: You know.
- 42:27Speaker 4: That's why it's so important that you have an online presence.
- 42:29Speaker 12: And this I didn't know that.
- 42:30Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, probably fifty percent. I don't base that on
- 42:34Speaker 4: anything other than just talking to people. Fifty percent of
- 42:36Speaker 4: the people that listen to the show don't listen to
- 42:38Speaker 4: it live. They're listening to it later. I've got people
- 42:41Speaker 4: that say, I listen to your show in the evening
- 42:43Speaker 4: when I'm working out, I listen to whatever. And the
- 42:47Speaker 4: way that people are actually listening to when they do
- 42:49Speaker 4: listen live, they're listening on apps. They're listening, you know,
- 42:52Speaker 4: on their iPad or you know. But there's something to
- 42:55Speaker 4: be said for radio. I had to ask you one
- 42:57Speaker 4: thing before we go to break here. I just let
- 43:00Speaker 4: me feel the bucket. I had not seen the book
- 43:01Speaker 4: at all till you brought it in to me this morning.
- 43:03Speaker 4: Thank you for the autograph, by the way, and I'm
- 43:05Speaker 4: looking through it here, and you had it was this
- 43:08Speaker 4: a I guess a poster or some sort of an
- 43:12Speaker 4: advertisement when you run for office? And said, the stud
- 43:14Speaker 4: with handcuffs? No, no, no, that was that was a
- 43:17Speaker 4: calendar that okay, the stud with handcuffs. Kenny Bath was
- 43:21Speaker 4: in that calendar. Okay.
- 43:23Speaker 6: We had a MI was mister June, and I had
- 43:27Speaker 6: my Cadillac. I had my seventy eight Cadillac, and I
- 43:32Speaker 6: was there with my short and my Panama had on
- 43:35Speaker 6: and I was a shirt and some I think I
- 43:39Speaker 6: had a pistol with a whole stirs and handcuffs and
- 43:43Speaker 6: it was it was a joke.
- 43:45Speaker 4: Okay, I'm gonna say you didn't seriously refer to yourself
- 43:47Speaker 4: as a stud with handcuffs?
- 43:49Speaker 6: Did they did?
- 43:49Speaker 8: I did?
- 43:51Speaker 9: Danny Jones is here.

- 46:42Speaker 4: always enjoyed the program.
- 46:44Speaker 6: Yeah, Pete would be on with me. He's right, out
- 46:47Speaker 6: of the school board. Crazy.
- 46:50Speaker 4: But I didn't know mister Thal but I remember reading.
- 46:52Speaker 6: The well Pete was at one time he was a
- 46:58Speaker 6: big Democrat. He was into the Rockefeller campaign in seventy
- 47:05Speaker 6: two and seventy six, and then you got to be
- 47:10Speaker 6: friends with Governor Moore, and Governor Moore gave him that

- 47:41Speaker 4: Tay Taylor.
- 47:42Speaker 6: Is it okay for right now?
- 47:43Speaker 4: Right now? And we had somebody to ask about an
- 47:45Speaker 4: e book, and you know you explained that that once
- 47:48Speaker 4: before that. You just think because you'd want to have
- 47:50Speaker 4: all these people, you know, it would involve too many
- 47:53Speaker 4: voices in your opinion.
- 47:55Speaker 6: I just don't see that happening. This is a local book.
- 48:00Speaker 6: This is not a book somebody and the only person
- 48:03Speaker 6: in Denver, Colorado is going to read it. Harry MacLean,
- 48:07Speaker 6: And that's the guy who wrote in the Borah Daylight,
- 48:09Speaker 6: the book about Skidmore. He's actually read a unedited copy
- 48:17Speaker 6: of it. He's already read it. But I'm going to
- 48:19Speaker 6: send him a book and uh and see what he thinks,
- 48:25Speaker 6: and you know, see what possibilities it has. But he
- 48:34Speaker 6: was really he was really stymmied by the fact that
- 48:38Speaker 6: I went from and you'll read about had called riding
- 48:43Speaker 6: high from then until being chaff of the county. How
- 48:47Speaker 6: could you go from one to the other, you know?
- 48:51Speaker 6: And that's when I worked at the Daniel Boone's the
- 48:54Speaker 6: best job ever had in my life. It is what
- 48:57Speaker 6: I questioned, the best job I ever had in my life.
- 49:00Speaker 6: Now I couldn't have kept it because number one, they closed.
- 49:04Speaker 6: But number two, it's a job for a young man.
- 49:07Speaker 6: It's not a job for an older guy, you know.
- 49:11Speaker 6: And I lived there, I ate there, I drank there,
- 49:17Speaker 6: I did everything there.

- 49:48Speaker 6: And that's two o'clock on Saturday.
- 49:50Speaker 4: Two o'clock this Saturday. Yeah, you and you were actually
- 49:53Speaker 4: I think concerned when I had you on before that
- 49:56Speaker 4: no one wanted the book, Danny. This is all anybody
- 49:58Speaker 4: has been talking about to me, uh for the last
- 50:02Speaker 4: I mean today's talking to a friend of mine who
- 50:04Speaker 4: I have a coffee with on on Monday mornings, and uh,
- 50:08Speaker 4: he said, is Danny's book out yet? And I said,
- 50:11Speaker 4: I'll have it and uh, and we'll make sure that
- 50:13Speaker 4: you get copies. Well, people, people are interested in that.
- 50:15Speaker 6: It would have been I'm glad Charlie did it because
- 50:20Speaker 6: if I'd have done, it had been a lot darker
- 50:25Speaker 6: because with me, there's I mean, I'm pretty transparent. And
- 50:30Speaker 6: are you sure you want to put that in there. No,
- 50:33Speaker 6: maybe I.
- 50:33Speaker 4: Should yeh know, well, it's good I think sometimes to
- 50:35Speaker 4: have a have that friend, you know, somebody a buffer,
- 50:39Speaker 4: somebody that is well, Robby shouldn't do that.
- 50:41Speaker 6: But it was his idea, uh huh, that to write
- 50:43Speaker 6: the book. You mean yeah, I mean he called me.
- 50:46Speaker 6: You know, he'd done those two bucks on the Clark
- 50:48Speaker 6: murderer and on the house I grew up in. And
