- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Everyone looking for a European golden visa ends up with the three same options in Europe Portugal, Italy, and Greece.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: But these three programs have the same problems of restrictions, backlogs, and sometimes long process to citizenship.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: There is one program that is not very known by the market.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: It's the France Residency by Investment Programme.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: And today I will talk about it.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Bonjour everyone, I'm Charlie Magie.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: I'm the founder of the Open World Residencies and Citizenship and the co-founder and CEO of France ID.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: France is not so known in the landscape of residency by investment compared to Italy, Greece, and Spain.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: But France actually offers a lot of benefits.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: For example, the naturalization process is 5 years in France, when it's 10 years in Spain, Italy, and Portugal.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Also, you actually don't need to become a tax resident in France in order to renew your residency.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: We have a lot of options when comes residency.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Actually, under the Passport Talent Umbrella, there are 14 different programs that lead to a long-term residency.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: There is passive income, highly skilled individuals, company creation, and of course the one that we will discuss today, the investment route.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: The investment route is a 300,000 euro investment into an existing company.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: We're not talking about startups, we're not talking about a new company, we're talking about existing companies where you actually become a shareholder.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: We are not an investment fund, we are not an investment vehicle.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: You go straight to the company where you invest your 300,000 euros and become directly a shareholder.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Of course, this money is not being invested until you obtain your residency, which is a big plus when you compare with other countries where you first need to process your investment and then later on hope to get your residency.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: There is no language test, the whole family is included, there is no actual blacklisted nationality, and again, you don't need mandatory stay in the country in order to renew.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: You only need to maintain your investment.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: So now, what is the exact process?
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Well, first we introduce you to the company.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: You can talk to them, understand them, talk to the managing team, what is the strategy and so on.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Then you decide to make the investment.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: First, we open a bank account for you.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: This is your bank account where you can leave your 300,000 euros on it.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: We do all the paperwork, KYC, AML, all the rest for the consulate.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Once your application has been approved at the consulate, your money will be invested in the company.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: And you have three months to go to France and obtain your four-year renewable residency.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Once you get your residency, you have access to free healthcare, free education, and all the rest.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Of course, access to Schengen and you can travel free in all the Schengen countries.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: But you might be asking why France?
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Well, first of all, the processing time.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: You know, you heard about the stories of people waiting one, two, three years to get their appointment in some countries in Europe for the golden visa.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: In France, you obtain your residency at the consulate level.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: In a few weeks you get your residency in your pocket, and then you have one year to go to France and actually get your residency card, your four-year residency card.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: What else?
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Well, then the minimum stay.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: As I said, in some countries, you still have to stay in the country in order to renew your residency.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: In France, this is not the case.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: No mandatory stay in the country.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: You can decide if you want to live there or not.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: Even if you don't relocate to France, you will be able to renew your residency.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Last but not least, it's France.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: It's Emily in Paris.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: It's a beautiful country.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: It's one of the best universal healthcare in Europe.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Literally, you can go to the hospital and you don't have to use your credit card once.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: And it's a beautiful country.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: In some part of France, you can actually enjoy a very nice lifestyle.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: And you know, J'aime La France.
