Latest / Rachel Oates / "Saying No Means Evil Wins" | The Latest Nonsense from Paul & Morgan and Unbuckled
Transcript
- 0:00Hey everyone and welcome back to a new video.
- 0:02So if you've seen my channel of the last couple of months,
- 0:04you'll know that I've been responding to Morgan or Paula
- 0:06Morgan's new podcast with her best friend Carl.
- 0:09It is called Unbuckled and so far we have had screeching and
- 0:12nonsense body shaming, calorie counting, hate towards and
- 0:16teenager lists and discussion of husbands controlling what their
- 0:20wives were today in terms of the dodgy husband wife
- 0:23relationships. It's only getting worse and
- 0:26today we're responding to episode 3 of the podcast.
- 0:28I thought I'd kind of respond them all as we go on, but I've
- 0:31got a little bit behind with it because I've had a lot of big
- 0:34projects going on. But I am enjoying making these
- 0:37videos because it's something a lot lighter than the really big
- 0:39videos. It's something less serious.
- 0:42The responses are shorter. So it's kind of like that nice
- 0:44little like I get that little boost of, hey, I've finished a
- 0:46project. This feels really good.
- 0:48And also, it's just quite fun to do something that's a little bit
- 0:51sillier and less serious. Well, I say that some of the
- 0:54stuff we're going to be discussing in this video is a
- 0:55little more on the serious side in terms of like some of the
- 0:59harmful information they're spreading and how we're going to
- 1:01correct it, that is to be taken seriously.
- 1:04But I mean, just in general, it's Morgan you.
- 1:10With all due respect, she's not very serious.
- 1:13And it's nice to just do something that's a little less
- 1:18high stakes and high pressure, you know?
- 1:19So that's what we're going to be doing today.
- 1:27If you excuse me wearing my glasses, my eyesights got quite
- 1:30bad recently. I'm struggling to kind of read
- 1:32my script a little bit without them.
- 1:33So that's why I've been wearing them recently.
- 1:35Sorry if it's annoying. I just, I, I need to read.
- 1:39And today we are moving on to episode 3 of her podcast.
- 1:41I know, I know, I'm behind with it.
- 1:43I'm sorry. I'm going to try and catch up,
- 1:45but this is an episode which the title desperately needs some
- 1:48punctuation because I'm confused.
- 1:50It's called respect your elder's son.
- 1:52Or. Respect your elder's son or
- 1:56respect your elder's son. We we need a comma or an
- 2:00apostrophe in there to tell me what it's meant to be.
- 2:02I assume they mean respect your elders comma son.
- 2:05But you know, This is why we need punctuation kids.
- 2:09These do constantly go on about how old they feel and how mature
- 2:12they are now that their moms, despite only being like what, 27
- 2:15and 31 or something, they're not that much younger than me.
- 2:19So I'm sure they'll probably end up ranting something about their
- 2:21youth of today or some nonsense like that.
- 2:24But let's watch it and find out. I say that I've already watched
- 2:26it. I've already written the script.
- 2:27I'm so sorry. But anyway, we'll get into it.
- 2:29What is up, ladies and maybe gentlemen, welcome back to
- 2:35Unbuckled. Oops, that was your part.
- 2:37Nope, that's OK, it's a little unhinged.
- 2:40And a lot honest. And as we saw in the last video,
- 2:43pretty damn dangerous at times too.
- 2:45By the way, Morgan voice memoed me on her way and she's talking
- 2:50about what she was going to get from cookout.
- 2:54And let me just tell you, I won't say exactly, but the
- 2:58transcript did not say coke float.
- 3:02Oh no, it. Had an extra C and no EI will
- 3:07let you guys decipher. Oh stop it.
- 3:09You know Coke. FL.
- 3:18Oh my gosh. I swear they are actual
- 3:21children. I know, I know, that sounds
- 3:23contradictory. I've just been like, they're not
- 3:25that old, but also like they are adults, like they have the sense
- 3:30of humour of teenagers and it just it, it's giving me kind of
- 3:33like Arrested Development. You know?
- 3:35At this point I have to admit I've skipped over showing you a
- 3:37hell of a lot because we are actually 5 minutes into their 38
- 3:40minute podcast and literally nothing has been said other than
- 3:43call apologising for coughing in past videos and that's it.
- 3:47That is it for 5 minutes. So This is why I'm skipping over
- 3:50a lot for you guys. And there is a lot of irony in
- 3:53this next. Clip though, and that too.
- 3:54I did see a few comments that we're not very impressed with
- 3:56our audio. Totally fair.
- 3:58We're doing the best we can. One of us is doing the best we
- 4:05can. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:09Talk about people complaining about your audio while you
- 4:11loudly slurp into the microphone.
- 4:14Thanks for that. But seriously, no, I can't.
- 4:16I can't complain about audio. I I find audio the hardest start
- 4:19of everything. So, you know, I'm not going to
- 4:21shame them for this. I think where I find problem
- 4:24with Morgan here is that not that like her audio's poor or
- 4:28something like that. I don't have an issue with that.
- 4:30Like I think I said before in videos, I want, when I watch
- 4:33YouTube, I want the videos to feel a little homemade, you
- 4:35know, I want to feel like I'm just chatting with a friend.
- 4:37I don't mind if people have like messy backgrounds or imperfect
- 4:41lighting. I want to.
- 4:42I don't want to just hear what they have to say, you know, I
- 4:43don't really mind about the imperfections.
- 4:46I think what bothers me with Morgan is her lack of concern
- 4:49and care for her audience. She's more like and give a damn
- 4:52like you think, but then still expects them to watch and give
- 4:56her money. It's interesting and I still
- 4:58don't understand why she's making content at all when she
- 5:01clearly hates it and hates any interactions with an online
- 5:04audience. And she said in the past how she
- 5:07doesn't really want to be a YouTube.
- 5:08She never really wanted to be a YouTube, she'd give it up if she
- 5:11could. So it's interesting that she's
- 5:13somehow for some reason still doing it.
- 5:15I don't know. Maybe just at this point is
- 5:18because she's not qualified for any other job.
- 5:20I don't know. Well, can I just say.
- 5:23I would love it if you did. That, yeah.
- 5:29You did. I saw that.
- 5:29I loved it. Yeah.
- 5:30I don't know if any of you guys saw me be unhinged, but it's an
- 5:36interesting thing to be unhinged, you know what I'm
- 5:38saying? Because.
- 5:40OK, I think we need to take a step back and I think we need to
- 5:42explain to people what you are talking about when you say you
- 5:46went unhinged on Instagram because maybe some people don't
- 5:48follow you. Maybe they do, but maybe they
- 5:50don't understand that you, you know what I mean?
- 5:52Maybe unhinged to them is like you did some crazies.
- 5:58I do have to say thank God for Carl being the voice of reason
- 6:00here and actually understanding that they have an audience
- 6:03watching them who doesn't watch 100% of Morgan's content all the
- 6:06time. Morgan seems to think that
- 6:08anyone who watches automatically knows her and her whole back
- 6:11story and like is really invested in everything.
- 6:14And so she doesn't really take the time to ever, like, explain
- 6:16anything to her audience, and she doesn't really take the time
- 6:18to introduce anything or, like, I don't know, it feels very
- 6:21Morgan centric. Whereas Carl at least seems
- 6:23aware that, hey, we have people watching.
- 6:25Maybe maybe we should give them some information.
- 6:27Maybe we should let them in on this conversation.
- 6:29We should let them in on these references.
- 6:31You know, it's, yeah, there's a lot of problematic stuff that
- 6:35Carl says across these podcasts. But I do at least think she's a
- 6:38little more aware of them having an audience and is a little more
- 6:42willing to create content for an audience rather than just for
- 6:46themselves, You know? Does that make any sense?
- 6:48I hope so. And I said, I'm feeling a little
- 6:51unhinged, let's do an unhinged Q&A.
- 6:54So people wrote in their questions and I just gave an
- 6:58unhinged response. So whether it was about like
- 7:01sex, postpartum or I can't even remember any of the other ones
- 7:06that I did, What else? There was one weird one about
- 7:08like a guy or a girl I don't know who's asking if it was OK
- 7:11to do a podcast with SO. Oh yeah, it was a girl.
- 7:14I was. And gender.
- 7:15Yes, there was one about if we're done having kids.
- 7:19There was one about the birth control forms we believe in or
- 7:24would use. And so anyhow.
- 7:27I think maybe we have different definitions of unhinged because
- 7:30this just sounds like pretty regular content for Morgan.
- 7:33Just just another day in the office, you know?
- 7:35And this next bit is where things start to get a little
- 7:38dangerous and more serious. So little warning.
- 7:41And before I play the next clip, well, I'm just going to call it
- 7:44what it is. They advocate for marital rape.
- 7:46So use your best judgement going forward.
- 7:48Don't watch this if it's going to be difficult for you.
- 7:51But yeah, let's talk about this because it is more serious.
- 7:54I answered those things, but then I made an Instagram real
- 8:00talking about how you should not withhold sex from your spouse.
- 8:06That's. Spicy in the comments.
- 8:08Girl, oh gosh. I will agree with Morgan here.
- 8:13This is absolutely unhinged. And I feel like just, you know,
- 8:16they can dress it up with like cutesy words and you know, like
- 8:20we just do it for our husband, you know, your partner.
- 8:22But no, let's call it what it is.
- 8:24They are advocating for marital rape.
- 8:25Like I said earlier, this is serious.
- 8:27I don't care if you're married or not.
- 8:29You should never have to have sex with a person with anyone
- 8:32you don't want to. It's it's that simple.
- 8:34And if you feel coerced to in any way, if you feel forced to,
- 8:37if you feel like you're doing it for any other reason than
- 8:41because you personally want to, that's right.
- 8:44Let's not beat around the Bush. Right so this girl said amazing
- 8:47how you could literally make a one hour podcast episode about
- 8:50this and people would still say, well you didn't cover this and
- 8:54this is important. Critical thinking is so lost
- 8:58nowadays I swear. And for those of you saying,
- 9:00well, you said every single time you say no, the enemy rejoices,
- 9:04I fear you did matrix level choreograph to purposely miss
- 9:09the point. If people are so impressionable
- 9:13that they take a literal stranger on the Internet words
- 9:16as their new law of thinking, and if the stranger didn't cover
- 9:20something, then it's just not applicable then applicable then
- 9:24those people need to just take a break from the Internet.
- 9:27It's common sense, I fear when there's a foundational truth
- 9:30like the fact that anyone can be withholding their right to say
- 9:34wait within their right to say no.
- 9:36She'd like typoed it there first, I think.
- 9:39Yeah, with them, they're right to say no when they're not in
- 9:42the mood. It's not necessary to have to
- 9:44reiterate it every single time it's a given.
- 9:46Y'all, She didn't have to say that.
- 9:48You're weirdos. So this is a little bit more
- 9:50complicated in nuance because part of me does agree with the
- 9:53commenter here, you know? Yeah, people will always get mad
- 9:55because you can't possibly cover everything in like 1 single
- 9:58video or one single post or anything like that.
- 10:01And there are a lot of topics which do require nuance and
- 10:04deserve to be looked at from a lot of angles.
- 10:06I think it's important to remember that sometimes when
- 10:09people talk about their own opinions on a topic, they aren't
- 10:11necessarily saying everyone else's opinion is wrong.
- 10:14They're just saying, hey, I'm aware there's other opinions,
- 10:16but here's mine, you know? And sometimes just because a
- 10:19person doesn't mention something, that doesn't mean
- 10:21they don't care about it or they disagree with it.
- 10:24Maybe it just means they kind of took it for granted that people
- 10:27were already aware of it, or they maybe thought, hey, I've
- 10:30already said this a lot of times in the past.
- 10:31I don't need to repeat it here. Or maybe it just didn't, you
- 10:34know, pop into their mind in that particular moment.
- 10:37So I am very aware that that is, that is a thing.
- 10:41However, I'm not sure this is necessarily applicable to what
- 10:45Morgan said. So we need to take a look at
- 10:48exactly what that was. So here's the Instagram post.
- 10:51Can I tell you guys something? Every single time you withhold
- 10:55sex from your spouse, the enemy rejoices.
- 11:00Every little excuse that you give as to why you're not in the
- 11:03mood or just want to skip tonight.
- 11:05Let's wait another night and three months pass by and you
- 11:08still haven't had sex with your spouse.
- 11:10The enemy is thriving. You're not.
- 11:15Your marriage isn't. Your spouse sure as heck isn't,
- 11:19and you gets to stop. I'm telling you what?
- 11:25Go have sex with your spouse. Stop making excuses.
- 11:30Just do it. I could go into all of the
- 11:33reasons as to why you should stop making excuses, but
- 11:37honestly, just have sex and you'll find out why.
- 11:43Like why you shouldn't withhold sex because it's not just a
- 11:46physical thing. It's a spiritual, mental,
- 11:49emotional thing when you have sex in a covenantal marriage
- 11:54with your spouse. And yes I said spouse because it
- 11:57goes both ways. Men and women withholding sex
- 12:01from their spouse. So anywho, get to win, Stop
- 12:05letting the enemy win. Have sex with your spouse.
- 12:08It is wild the lack of common sense we got going on in this
- 12:14universe. Of course you can say no to your
- 12:19spouse. That's not what I'm saying in
- 12:22this previous reel when your common answer is no to your
- 12:29spouse. That's withholding sex and you
- 12:31give zero reason as to why other than I'm just too tired.
- 12:36Oh, it's such a hard day. I just, I'm not in the mood,
- 12:39whatever your reasoning is. But your main reason slash, your
- 12:46main answer to your spouse wanting to be intimate with you
- 12:49is no. That is when it turns into
- 12:53sinful. That is when the enemy wins.
- 12:56That is when it is not healthy for you or your marriage or your
- 13:00spouse. And you need to address it.
- 13:02You need to sit on down and have some real raw conversations with
- 13:06your spouse as to what in the world is going on.
- 13:11And you got to make changes. So yes, you're allowed to say
- 13:15no. Nobody here is saying that you
- 13:18can't ever say no to your spouse.
- 13:20I would literally never say that.
- 13:21I say no to my spouse. I tell my husband, hey babe, not
- 13:25in the mood tonight. I'm so tired.
- 13:27But guess what? It's not my common answer.
- 13:29It's not the majority of the time.
- 13:34Let's just use our brains a little more.
- 13:39So I hate the patronising voice at the end.
- 13:40Morgan does this a lot. It's it's interesting.
- 13:43She she feels often like she really hates her audience.
- 13:47She often talks down to her audience.
- 13:49She's condescending, she acts like she hates her whole
- 13:51audience. And yet she still expects people
- 13:53to keep watching and consuming her to content, which is kind of
- 13:56impossible when she has such disdain for the people who are
- 13:59watching, you know? And it really annoys me because
- 14:01in this case, like her audience weren't concerned because they
- 14:04weren't using a common sense. Like she likes to mark.
- 14:07This wasn't just a matter of you saying, hey, I'm going to point
- 14:09out arguments 1-2 and three, but I accidentally missed out number
- 14:12four. So that before argument isn't
- 14:14really applicable here. This is because Morgan, she
- 14:17literally said every time they were her words.
- 14:20Every time you say no, the enemy wins.
- 14:23And that absolutely implies that it's never OK to say no.
- 14:28And even in her second video, she was still trying to quantify
- 14:31other people's feelings for them, which is just not OK.
- 14:34You know, she was saying things like, you can say no, but only
- 14:37if it's below X percent of the time.
- 14:39You can say no, but only if it's for reasons AB and C.
- 14:43But if it's for reasons DE and F, then you just have to suck it
- 14:46up and do it anyway. And like, you can't do that.
- 14:48You can't police other people's actions and feelings in that
- 14:52way. It's just not appropriate.
- 14:54The advice she's giving and the way she's trying to quantify
- 14:57this and like that says to other people's bodies is very
- 15:01dangerous and it is quite serious.
- 15:03I've said it before, but I'm going to keep repeating it.
- 15:05There is never a wrong reason to say no.
- 15:08There's never a set amount of, there's never a set amount of
- 15:11times you can say it before it stops being acceptable.
- 15:13You know, it's all about what is right for you and your partner.
- 15:17And if it's not right for you to say yes, then you don't have to.
- 15:22It's that simple. Now, I will say there are not
- 15:26necessarily exceptions to this, but there are nuances around the
- 15:29conversation, right? So for example, if you find
- 15:32yourself saying no more frequently than you used to,
- 15:36then maybe you need to take a look at what's affecting you and
- 15:38your sex drive. Is it something emotional?
- 15:40Is it something physical? Is there something going on with
- 15:42your hormones? Is there a problem in the
- 15:44relationship that you need to address?
- 15:46If in general terms, you and your partner have just vastly
- 15:50different sex drives, then maybe you need to sit down and have a
- 15:52discuss and have a discussion about what that means for the
- 15:55both of you and how you want it to work going forward or if you
- 15:58want it to work at all. There's lots of ways you can
- 16:01address this and find really, really helpful and useful
- 16:04solutions to this. However, just listening to
- 16:06someone like Morgan sitting there and saying every time you
- 16:09say no evil wins, that is just guilting people into performing
- 16:14sex acts that they don't want to do, it is coercion.
- 16:17It leads to rape, and that is never OK.
- 16:20So the people who are critiquing Morgan in these comment sections
- 16:22and things like that, they're not just not using common sense,
- 16:27they're just very concerned for you and the people who will
- 16:30listen to you because this advice is dangerous.
- 16:32There is no critical thinking anymore.
- 16:34And so anywho, there were just so many comments and it's fine.
- 16:38Like I have to realise when I decide to be unhinged that like
- 16:44people are literally going to despise me.
- 16:46Yeah. Me being unhinged.
- 16:49I do have to say it is nice to see that she is accepting this
- 16:51now. When you spread dangerous
- 16:53information you will get criticism, but based on the
- 16:56response she put out to it, it sounds like she hasn't actually
- 16:59accepted it. She's saying she has, but she
- 17:01clearly hasn't. It's it's a lot we.
- 17:05Should use our brains a little more.
- 17:09I just, I, I don't know, I don't know how I feel about this.
- 17:13Like, I think you guys know, I've had a really awful couple
- 17:15of years on the whole. I've had some wonderful stuff
- 17:18going on. Of course I have and I've done
- 17:21some wonderful product projects. But I've also had a lot of
- 17:23really crappy stuff going on. Most recently losing my Chira
- 17:26and four months before that dealing with her having a lot of
- 17:29very serious illnesses and seizures.
- 17:31And like the doctors suspected by the end it was a brain tumour
- 17:36that was causing it all. And it was, it was very
- 17:38difficult seeing the person you love most in the world suffering
- 17:41like that and dealing with it. And so I just feel like after
- 17:45all that crap I've been through, I've come out of the other side
- 17:47realising that there are so many more important things in the
- 17:51world to get upset about than what people online think about
- 17:55you, and that it's OK to not be liked by everyone.
- 17:59And I'm starting to feel more comfortable with that than I've
- 18:01ever been. And of course, there's still
- 18:03some things that upset me. And that's not to say I don't
- 18:05care what people think about me in general.
- 18:07Of course I do like you guys watching are like your views are
- 18:12very important to me and that I want to make content that is
- 18:15entertaining and educational for you.
- 18:17I want to like the comments I get from you guys and the
- 18:20messages I get from you. I can't reply to everyone
- 18:22because I definitely still struggle socially with that sort
- 18:25of thing. But when I see messages from you
- 18:28guys saying like hey, I've been watching for years and you
- 18:29really helped me going through this.
- 18:31Or like I took the advice you gave here on writing and put it
- 18:34into this exam or you know, things like that.
- 18:36Or I want to get a letter from an 80 year old woman who was
- 18:39like when I was younger, I never heard any of this stuff.
- 18:42And it was really nice to like see someone like explaining it
- 18:45to the younger generations. And this is what's new.
- 18:46And that stuff absolutely sticks with me.
- 18:48And that is important to me because that's the way I do
- 18:50this. I don't make these videos for
- 18:51me. I make it for the people
- 18:53watching to like hopefully elevate other people's voices
- 18:57and help people out and educate them and that sort of thing.
- 18:59So this is what I mean when I say like, I'm, I'm becoming more
- 19:02and more OK with people not liking me.
- 19:04I mean, obviously it still hurts sometimes when you hear some
- 19:06things, but I'm starting to like when, when I misunderstood.
- 19:10That's, that's sometimes a bit hard to deal with.
- 19:13But in general, like I think I've spoken before about
- 19:16there's, there's a content creator who I, I really liked
- 19:18her videos at 1st and she's like, portrays herself online as
- 19:21a feminist. And I'll say, hey, she's saying
- 19:23some good stuff here. And then over time, like it's
- 19:25become very clear that she does not like me at all.
- 19:28And I was like, oh, and that really hurt a bit.
- 19:31And she's, she's criticised me in quite a few videos for not
- 19:33being like a, a true feminist because I'm against, well, in
- 19:38general, I'm against rape porn and the romanticization of rape
- 19:41in literature and media in general.
- 19:44And she thinks that makes me not a real feminist.
- 19:46And, and for a while that really, really upset me.
- 19:48But then after everything I've been through recently, I've been
- 19:51like, well, you know what? I'm, I've spent a lot of time
- 19:55thinking about those values and what matters to me and coming to
- 19:59those conclusions. And I'm comfortable with that.
- 20:01And I feel like if someone doesn't like me because of it,
- 20:03then that's absolutely OK because I don't want approval
- 20:08from someone that I essentially think is spreading dangerous
- 20:12misinformation. You know, So I feel like what I
- 20:14care about what sorry, I'm rambling here.
- 20:16I'm rambling. It's, it's midnight.
- 20:17I'm going off on one here. Thank you for listening.
- 20:21But I feel like what I care about more is that I'm being
- 20:23true to myself, that I'm trying to be the best person I can be.
- 20:27That I'm trying my best to help people.
- 20:28I'm trying my best to entertain people.
- 20:30Hopefully. I don't know if you're still
- 20:32here. Thank you.
- 20:32And I feel like there's always going to be people who don't
- 20:36like me because in their eyes, like I say, I'm the wrong kind
- 20:38of feminist or because they automatically expect the worst
- 20:41of me for whatever reason, or they misinterpreted something
- 20:44I've said, or they, you know, maybe I, I said something with
- 20:49the wrong tone or things like that.
- 20:51That happens to me, you know, as an autistic woman, I still make
- 20:54those mistakes, but I feel like as long as I'm trying to be a
- 20:57good person and help people, I can walk away from unfair
- 21:00judgments without guilt these days.
- 21:02And I think that's been very helpful for my mental health.
- 21:05You know, that said, personal rumble aside, I don't think
- 21:09that's necessarily what's happening with Morgan here.
- 21:12There's a difference between what I get, which is things
- 21:14like, you know, how dare you not support this convicted rapist,
- 21:17you bitch. Yes, I'm looking at my Jack Den
- 21:19small videos or Jack Denmo as he goes online and me being like,
- 21:24well, I think you're wrong for supporting him, so I'm just
- 21:26going to block you and walk away.
- 21:28And what's happening with Morgan, which is like people
- 21:30saying to her like, hey, I'm a little concerned because that
- 21:32advice you gave could put people in danger and it kind of
- 21:35suggests maybe you're in danger. Are you OK?
- 21:37And her just being like, I always get this.
- 21:40Why are people so bothered by this?
- 21:42It's like, well, you know, people are generally bothered by
- 21:43rape. You know, good, good people are
- 21:46generally bothered by rape. Just saying.
- 21:48And I feel so I feel like there's a difference.
- 21:52You know, when you get criticism, you have to assess it
- 21:54and be like, well, is this worth my time and energy?
- 21:57Or are we just going to fundamentally disagree?
- 22:00And in which case it's maybe better to just disengage and be
- 22:02like, no, we're done? Or is it a case where you're
- 22:05like, oh, yeah, you know what? They have a point.
- 22:07I need to listen and learn here and improve because of it.
- 22:10You need to assess that. And there are differences.
- 22:13And I just feel like Morgan is ignoring the important stuff and
- 22:16lumping any criticism as like not worth her time when in some
- 22:20cases it is. I feel like I've rambled here,
- 22:22sorry. Let's watch another clip.
- 22:24Yeah, well, I think the issue is that when people see content on
- 22:28social media they generally like, they take it as an affront
- 22:33to them if they're not doing what it is you're talking about.
- 22:36You know what I mean? So it could be, it could be
- 22:38anything. You see it a lot in the mom
- 22:40community, right? Like someone will post, you
- 22:42know, what they're doing with their kid, and then someone will
- 22:44comment on that post. OK, so because I'm not doing X
- 22:46with my kid, I'm a horrible mom. And it's like, no, that's no one
- 22:49saying that, Patricia. It's just I'm telling you I'm
- 22:53and so I think that's true for your comment section too.
- 22:56Just people aren't I don't know, I feel like they've I don't
- 23:00know. It's crazy.
- 23:01I just I if you don't like something, if you don't agree
- 23:03with something. I truly cannot imagine being the
- 23:06kind of person that is actually in someone else's comment
- 23:09section arguing. Again, I do think Carl is mostly
- 23:13talking sense here, and I mostly agree with her except in this
- 23:17very particular circumstance. Because I think it's completely
- 23:20normal to disagree with and call out someone saying you can't
- 23:24ever say no to your spouse without evil winning.
- 23:26I'm going to keep saying it. I think in a general sense she
- 23:30has a point. In regards to this very specific
- 23:33example, no. No, it's like.
- 23:35I cannot imagine that because who has time for that?
- 23:39Like to his mom but like also who has the mental capacity?
- 23:44I know to. Do that like.
- 23:46Hey, why don't you ask Morgan? She is always watching and
- 23:48reading critical content about herself and making responses and
- 23:52arguing with people. Like, literally all of the time.
- 23:56It's no, it's not. And I would argue that it's just
- 23:59not healthy. Like there's nothing healthy
- 24:01about pouring yourself into a random stranger on the Internet.
- 24:06Like just don't. Don't think so.
- 24:08Absolutely. So maybe you should listen to
- 24:11this Morgan. But I'm just like, it's so funny
- 24:14because these people say these things so confidently and I'm
- 24:16just like, none of these comments bother me because I
- 24:20know the truth. And I'm like so confident in my
- 24:23marriage and in my sex life with my husband and whatever else.
- 24:29That's just like, they can say these goofy things and it just
- 24:32does not bother me. Yeah, Yeah, you do.
- 24:34You do sound really unbothered. And I'm freaking on my period
- 24:37and I've about had it with the big freaking idiots.
- 24:40Online. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, No,
- 24:43Lauren, calm me down. But no, literally, if you're
- 24:54getting your information from Reddit, baby, just shut it.
- 25:01So anyhow, just here to tell you, you guys are a bunch of
- 25:05idiots and I don't feel sorry for saying that.
- 25:08I literally don't. So for the people who are going
- 25:11to message me and be like, this isn't very Christ like, no, no,
- 25:16there's no tell me. Can I just say it?
- 25:19All I forgot the amount of people that do not like you and
- 25:24Paul and I when I say that I just thought we were going to
- 25:28drop like a fun podcast and like it was just going to be like so
- 25:31unserious. Like that's genuinely what I
- 25:34believed. And then to see some of the
- 25:37comments, a whole response video.
- 25:40That's insane. I told me that I was like
- 25:42someone made a response video. The only reason I found it was
- 25:46because I found out about it was because someone commented on our
- 25:49video that like they found our video through that and you know,
- 25:52whatever. Honestly, I think I would cry if
- 25:54any of my friends said this to me.
- 25:55Like I'd forgotten how much people hate that.
- 25:57Oh no no, that's that's heartbreaking isn't it?
- 26:02But seriously, how does Morgan not expect this by now?
- 26:05She's been saying harmful stuff for long enough that she'd have
- 26:08to know people will talk about her when she continues to do
- 26:11that. She's got criticism for saying
- 26:13these exact things before and now she keeps saying them and
- 26:17she's shocked she still keeps getting criticism.
- 26:19I as someone who does make these response videos to her and her
- 26:25content, and I've spoken about Paul and Morgan a lot of the
- 26:27last few years. I do it because I don't like
- 26:30hearing harmful statements and misinformation going
- 26:33unchallenged in general. And also sometimes gets a bit of
- 26:35fun. But I mean, like if Morgan
- 26:38suddenly changed up her content and was making, I don't know,
- 26:40lemonade review, She likes lemonade.
- 26:42I like lemonade. That's great.
- 26:43If she was doing something completely harmless like that or
- 26:46she was making craft videos or something, like I saw the other
- 26:48week, she like painted some cute.
- 26:50I say the other week, it's a couple of months back now, she
- 26:51painted some cute picture or something like that's cute,
- 26:54that's nice. If she started doing that,
- 26:56there's nothing wrong with that and I don't think anyone would
- 26:58criticise her. That would be nice, fun,
- 27:01harmless content and no one would have a problem with it.
- 27:03But it's when she keeps like, you know, advocating for marital
- 27:06rape that people have issue with that.
- 27:07And they're going to keep pointing it out.
- 27:09But when you're making a podcast like this where you're making
- 27:12content which body shames others, you could trigger other
- 27:15people's eating disorders. You're calling people stupid and
- 27:18crazy. You're telling them they can't
- 27:19say no to their partners. You're shaming them for having a
- 27:22different world view than you. That is dangerous stuff.
- 27:24And of course it's going to be challenged this and again, I
- 27:28can't bring her up, but it's such a relevant example.
- 27:31This reminds me so much of Gabby Hannah when she was always like,
- 27:33oh, the drama channels can't stop talking about me.
- 27:36The drama channels won't leave me alone.
- 27:37It's like, well, of course they won't.
- 27:39When you're doing harmful stuff like going through like AI
- 27:42psychosis and religious psychosis online potentially in
- 27:47people's opinions and you're like shaming people for their
- 27:51bodies and what they wear and not being modest enough.
- 27:54And you're saying that people aren't Christian it and you're
- 27:56like spreading transphobia and all this like nonsense stuff.
- 27:59Like, of course people are going to call that out.
- 28:01When she was just like doing stuff like teaching a dance
- 28:04class or whatever, people were like, that was really cool, good
- 28:06for her. And no one was really talking
- 28:08about it. No one was criticising it.
- 28:10Even I was like, hey, she's moved on, She's learned, she's
- 28:13grown. This is amazing.
- 28:14Like I, I forgive her for everything.
- 28:17This is great. And then she came back calling
- 28:19me like a stupid bitch again in interviews and I was like, if
- 28:23you can't stop posting hateful content, of course people aren't
- 28:26going to stop criticising it. If you switched it up and you're
- 28:29doing regular harmless stuff, people wouldn't care.
- 28:32If Morgan made a series of reviewing lemonades, no one
- 28:35would care. I wouldn't be here talking about
- 28:36it. What would I say?
- 28:38Nothing. It would be fine, like I told
- 28:40Garrett. I was like, I have to have some
- 28:42serious boundaries around this because a, it's like, I
- 28:46actually, there were a couple comments that heavily disagreed
- 28:48with what we're talking about, but the way that they were
- 28:50saying it, I was like, OK, I can actually, I can appreciate the
- 28:52fact that like you took the time to tell me what you think and I,
- 28:56I do like, I appreciate that. You know what credit?
- 28:58Where it's due. I actually appreciate this and I
- 29:01think it's a really mature response and I love that.
- 29:03Wait, I didn't see. I I don't read the comments on
- 29:07anything, basically. That's one way.
- 29:09That's one boundary of mine. Yeah.
- 29:11But I did scroll through some of the comments once after you told
- 29:14me, like I waited like a week. And then I looked through the
- 29:17comments on our first podcast episode and I saw someone that
- 29:20was like, oh. What do you know?
- 29:23A person, Oh my God, who has pronouns, Carl, who wants to be
- 29:28called Carl, and you respect that.
- 29:32Morgan, sorry. But none of us believe you don't
- 29:34read the comments. Morgan is constantly responding
- 29:37to comments, to Reddit posts, to everything.
- 29:39She'll be like, oh, I saw this thing on Reddit and then make
- 29:42like 7 Instagram videos about it like story, story, story, story
- 29:45real story, story real like. And it's always like, well, I
- 29:48never read the comments except this one time and then this one
- 29:51time that she reads all the comments she does.
- 29:53And I just think maybe Morgan needs to get off the Internet
- 29:57for a little while. To be honest, I, I used to have
- 29:59a real problem with it too. And I had a therapist who with
- 30:04me, she basically called it digital self harm where she was
- 30:07like, well, I realised I was doing a thing where like I would
- 30:10scroll through my comments or I would look on Reddit or
- 30:12something like that. And I wouldn't stop until I
- 30:14found something like with people complaining about me or being
- 30:17nasty about me or like saying awful things.
- 30:19And then I get really upset about it.
- 30:21I went to my therapist. I was like, why?
- 30:23Why can I not stop doing this? Like I know I'm going to find
- 30:26something horrible. Why can't I stop looking for it?
- 30:28And, and it was actually really helpful talking through that
- 30:31because she said it's like another form of self harm for
- 30:33me. So sorry to bring this up and
- 30:36this might be difficult for some people to hear, so please feel
- 30:38free to skip ahead. But I, I used to have like a
- 30:42problem with actual self harm, like really, really bad.
- 30:46And she said that for me, kind of like looking up hip comments
- 30:50online and not stopping until I found them was just another way
- 30:53of doing that, of like kind of hurting myself and then needing
- 30:56healing afterwards essentially. And when I realised that, I was
- 31:00like, oh, this is something that I need to stop and work on
- 31:02because it's not healthy. It's not helping me.
- 31:05And yeah, I do a lot of work in therapy to overcome that.
- 31:08And it's been really helpful. Now I don't look up that stuff
- 31:10if I can help it. And I definitely don't go
- 31:13searching my name anywhere. That's can't deal with that
- 31:16anymore and comments are still a little bit hard because
- 31:18sometimes you still find them and it if you're having like a
- 31:21bad day, even like a a mundane thing can really set you off.
- 31:25But I'm trying to try to manage that still.
- 31:27It's hard. I don't know, sorry, I'm going
- 31:29off topic here. Keep talking about myself.
- 31:30I'm so sorry. Anyway, then they move on to
- 31:33their hot take for the week, which is like a thing they do In
- 31:36each of these episodes. Carl talks about crunchy
- 31:39influencers telling people to buy a bunch of expensive stuff.
- 31:42And for once, I agree with her. I think she makes a really good
- 31:44point here. I think as a society we do
- 31:47consume way too much stuff and there is already so much content
- 31:49online about like hey, buy this, buy this, buy this.
- 31:53It's just it's not great for the environment.
- 31:54So I don't actually disagree with her here and I think it's
- 31:57good that she brought this up. The whole crunchy lifestyle
- 32:00isn't for me. But I do absolutely support the
- 32:02critique of overconsumption. And this is something I've
- 32:05spoken about a little bit on like some Instagram videos and
- 32:07over on my second channel. But I've been on like a real low
- 32:10buy for the last 18 months, trying to reduce what I'm buying
- 32:13and how much of it. Like if I get books, I do try
- 32:15and get them second hand and I don't try and get them as often
- 32:17as I used to. Clothes I generally try to buy
- 32:20second hand and there's been a couple of exceptions, like a
- 32:23really nice dress here and there.
- 32:24I'm going to Barcelona this weekend for my friends hen party
- 32:29and so I bought a couple of nice dresses for that.
- 32:30On the whole, I'm definitely trying to reduce what I'm buying
- 32:33and reduce over consumption. And and yeah, it's been it's
- 32:37been really nice, actually really good.
- 32:39Anyway, sorry off top again. I keep talking about myself.
- 32:41I'm so sorry. Tell me to show up in the
- 32:43comments if you need to. But there is some irony though,
- 32:46because listen to this and it would feel.
- 32:49Less disingenuous if they, yeah, weren't making money off of it.
- 32:52But because I know you're making money off of it, I'm like, no, I
- 32:56don't really want to buy like which I have nothing.
- 32:59Against affiliate links to you. I have some affiliate stuff like
- 33:03whatever, but yeah, if it's like you can't live a truly clean
- 33:09life without these products, use my code to get $100 off your
- 33:135000. Dollars.
- 33:15This is hilarious. To me, considering just two
- 33:17podcast episodes ago Morgan was going on and on about her $1200
- 33:22flour mill that she got gifted by a brand and how everyone
- 33:25needs to get one just like her, I found that so funny.
- 33:29Anyway, this is Carl's actual hot take if there is a person.
- 33:33In your life, that is like actively disrespecting your
- 33:38spouse. They're out the door.
- 33:40They are out of the door. OK, you know what?
- 33:42I. Do think there are some nuanced
- 33:44discussions that could be really interesting to have here.
- 33:47I think there are certain things that obviously you shouldn't
- 33:50tolerate people saying about people you love, right?
- 33:53Like, I've heard people make racist comments about my
- 33:56partners in the past and things like that.
- 33:57And I've immediately been like, whoa, yeah, let's not do that.
- 34:00And then, you know, been, like, I'm done with this conversation,
- 34:04done with you. Like, you obviously want to,
- 34:06like, jump in there and say things like that.
- 34:08However, I think there's nuance to this when we're talking about
- 34:11fundies in particular and certain other groups, because I
- 34:15think there are things that they might label as disrespectful
- 34:18that maybe aren't. So for example, if a friend of
- 34:21yours is concerned and pointing out that your partner is
- 34:24behaving in a way which is abusive, I know for a fact some
- 34:27fundies like Morgan would say that that this is that person
- 34:32being disrespectful to their partner.
- 34:34And then they would blame the person who was saying that stuff
- 34:36and be mad at that friend. But honestly I'd say this is
- 34:39probably just them being a good friend and looking out for you.
- 34:41But let's wait and see where she goes with this, because I think
- 34:44this is a topic with many possible angles to discuss
- 34:47context. Is context is my my husband and
- 34:51I, well, my husband had a couple of friends.
- 34:54They're older. They're not like old, but they
- 34:56were older and he's been in relationship with them for a
- 35:01really, really long time before. I entered.
- 35:04The picture and after I entered the picture, they were nice to
- 35:08me, but they weren't like super, super friendly.
- 35:11And it's just become clearer through like different life
- 35:15stages we've entered, whether it's marriage or giving birth,
- 35:19that that is just kind of like heightened.
- 35:21And there will be just things that are said that are just kind
- 35:26of like underhanded, like at me. And my husband, who is thinks
- 35:30like the best of everyone at any given time will say things to
- 35:35me. It's like, I don't think that
- 35:37that was right or that didn't sit well with me.
- 35:38So I know it's not just like a meeting.
- 35:40Yes. OK, so this is where I have a.
- 35:42Little bit more of a problem because I think this might be a
- 35:44topic where it's just an excuse for Carl to moan about some
- 35:48people in her real life that she doesn't like rather than have an
- 35:50actual nuance discussion. Which is a shame, but.
- 35:54Before we go any. Further, I will say it's OK to
- 35:58not actively like everyone all the time.
- 36:01I think it's OK to, for example, not like some of your partner's
- 36:04friends and for them to not like you.
- 36:06By which I mean like, I'm not saying like if you dislike each
- 36:09other that and that could be a bit of a problem.
- 36:11But I mean, you don't need to be besties with everyone.
- 36:14You don't need to be like, Oh my God, this.
- 36:16I want to hang out with them all the time.
- 36:18You don't need that. It's OK if you wish to have
- 36:20separate friends. It really is.
- 36:22I think it's just part of being an adult to be able to say like,
- 36:25hey, you know what, you guys seem nice enough, but like,
- 36:27maybe we don't just gel in this way.
- 36:29And like, you guys do your thing.
- 36:31I'll do my thing with my friends.
- 36:33We'll be polite when we see each other.
- 36:34But we don't, we don't need to be besties.
- 36:36And I think that's completely fine.
- 36:37You don't need to force something that isn't there.
- 36:40Obviously there's a difference if like people are actively
- 36:42disliking you and being mean or nasty, that's obviously
- 36:45different. But yeah, so I mean, I just
- 36:47think there's there's new ones to all this, isn't there?
- 36:50I do see, like, some red flags in Carl's story.
- 36:53So, like, her and her husband noticing these friends making
- 36:55underhand comments. Yeah.
- 36:57If that's completely accurate, then I don't think that's OK at
- 36:59all. And I think she's right to be
- 37:00upset by that. That is definitely something
- 37:03your husband should speak to his friends about.
- 37:05Or like, you should bring up with them and be like, hey, I'm
- 37:07not OK with this. You're making me uncomfortable.
- 37:09And however, I don't really think it's something that
- 37:12necessarily needs discussing in a public forum like this in such
- 37:16a way when it when it's still like fresh and new as well.
- 37:19I mean, like, what if their friends see this and this is
- 37:21their first time hearing about this and they're like, oh God,
- 37:23she's just like, you know, brought this up to thousands of
- 37:26people and not us. Like I feel like that's not
- 37:28necessarily something you can recover and come back from.
- 37:30Whereas if you said to them like, Hey, these comments make
- 37:33me a little uncomfortable. Can we talk about it, please?
- 37:35Or can you maybe stop that? I think there would be a way
- 37:37because maybe they play awkward songs.
- 37:39We didn't realise. We're so sorry.
- 37:40Let's change and make this better.
- 37:42And there's there's a way you can come back from that and
- 37:44build a relationship. But this putting in online to
- 37:46thousands of people, maybe not, I don't know.
- 37:49I just I feel like Carl has some good points and some not so good
- 37:52points, but it's impossible to say if I agree with her in this
- 37:55very particular specific circumstance, because I wasn't
- 37:59there. I don't know the details.
- 38:00None of us do. No, because when they're.
- 38:01Disrespecting. There's the spouse.
- 38:04They're disrespecting them like you guys are 1.
- 38:07So no goodbye, yeah. Yeah, I think the Morgan always
- 38:12has to take. Things too far though, doesn't
- 38:13she? Of course she does And and she
- 38:16always has to take it to a weird place, doesn't she?
- 38:18So like 1 I didn't need to hear her squeaking in this, I just
- 38:21didn't 2 Why do you have to make this about you?
- 38:24I said why do you have to make this about you?
- 38:26I say I have to talk about myself for half this video.
- 38:28But like if you were in a couple, you're still
- 38:31individuals, you know, you're not one, you're still 2 separate
- 38:36people. And if someone insulted my
- 38:37partner, I'd be sad and angry about how they were treated and
- 38:41how my partner was feeling about it and how it might hurt them.
- 38:44But it has nothing to do with me and my feelings.
- 38:47I don't get hurt because my partner's hurt.
- 38:49All my focus is on how they feel and making them feel better, not
- 38:53on myself. You know, if someone insults
- 38:55them or hurts them, my focus is on them.
- 38:58They're the important one is not about me.
- 39:00So in that case, it's just kind of bizarre to me that this is
- 39:02immediately where Morgan jumps like, oh, if someone did this to
- 39:05them, then I'm hurt too. It's just feels a little
- 39:08selfish, I'll be honest. And but you, it's interesting
- 39:12because with stuff like this, you can tell she's never been
- 39:14independent in her life. She doesn't know how to be alone
- 39:18and she doesn't know how to be happy alone, you know?
- 39:21Morgan then wants to share her juicy story about her experience
- 39:24with something like this. And again, it just feels like
- 39:27I'm watching kids or teenagers gossip and it's a little bit
- 39:30uncomfortable. And I keep thinking, what if the
- 39:32people she's talking about are watching now?
- 39:34And I just feel a bit bad for them, you know?
- 39:36I am going to cut out some of the more gossipy and mean girl
- 39:38bits of this and just try and show you the main content of the
- 39:41story, like the main meat of it, you know?
- 39:43Well, I feel like. Is there anything?
- 39:45Oh, I got a story to tell. You.
- 39:47But at first I yes, I have a juicy story.
- 39:51Well, OK. Speaking of cutting.
- 39:54People out of your life who disrespect your spouse?
- 39:57No. There was this years ago, there
- 40:00was this guy. There was this guy who Paul had
- 40:04connected with. So Paul and this guy connect and
- 40:09this guy is like very artsy, very creative.
- 40:12He has somewhat of a following online and it's just known for
- 40:17like being like a worship leader guy.
- 40:21Not totally sure where he was plugged in at church at that
- 40:24point in time when I don't honestly I don't even know how
- 40:27Paul met him. But they connect and he comes
- 40:31over to our house and he like I guess somehow knew that I was a
- 40:34worship leader. And he like starts talking to me
- 40:37about wanting to do some worship stuff.
- 40:39And basically, like, almost immediately, I got a weird vibe
- 40:43from him of like, it feels like you used your connection with
- 40:48Paul to like, just get to me. And then like every interaction
- 40:52after that, he was like super just disrespectful to Paul.
- 40:56Like talked down to him. Would like tell Paul to shut up,
- 41:00like in a joking way, and Paul's there.
- 41:03I did. Go through a phase where I also
- 41:05used to say shut up to Paul. And I remember was it?
- 41:10I think you brought it up to me. Maybe you were like, maybe you
- 41:13don't, you know? And at the time I thought, that
- 41:17is so silly. And then I got married to a man
- 41:21and he was like, yeah, I mean, it's fine.
- 41:24It's not the end of the world. But like, I don't necessarily
- 41:27appreciate it. So being told to shut.
- 41:29Up. Yeah, totally.
- 41:31You know, normally I wouldn't. Say this about just anyone after
- 41:34hearing this story, but knowing what we know about Paul, I'm
- 41:37pretty sure he is the problem here.
- 41:40Just just an inkling I have. This guy is like a worship
- 41:45leader or whatever, right? I reckon he probably knows a
- 41:48decent amount of what he's talking about in regards to the
- 41:51Bible and just general Christian stuff if you will.
- 41:55We know from Paul's last nine years or whatever of content.
- 41:58910 years, I don't know. And that he often does talk out
- 42:03of his bum, to put it politely. He often misquotes the Bible.
- 42:07He doesn't necessarily know specific passages that he's
- 42:09referring to. He does interpret things in not
- 42:13necessarily the most accurate way.
- 42:16He is just often incorrect. And yet he talks and talks and
- 42:20talks like he has this authority and is correct.
- 42:23I know it's I know that it's infuriating to listen to him
- 42:27when he's like this. So I can't say I blame this guy,
- 42:31this worship leader, or call for telling Paul to shut up.
- 42:35Just just saying you would just like.
- 42:37Belittle Paul and talk to him in such like a lame way.
- 42:40And I immediately recognised it and was like immediately telling
- 42:45Paul like, yeah, I don't have great feelings about this guy.
- 42:49Like I don't really want to want anything to do with him.
- 42:52And one day me and Paul and a group of friends and this guy
- 42:57all went out to dinner and we're sitting there and I don't
- 43:01remember exactly what happened, but Paul, he is like 10 years
- 43:08older than this guy too, maybe 12, I don't even know.
- 43:10So this was a younger dude, yes. But this younger dude really
- 43:15like felt like he was super wise.
- 43:20You know, he's one of those guys.
- 43:21He just felt he was so spirit. Really embarrassing to be that
- 43:24person. It really is.
- 43:27I've been that person. Before so I do think I can say
- 43:29that, you know, it's like so. Embarrassing is the worst.
- 43:34Yeah. So he thought he was just super
- 43:36spiritually mature and deep and whatever.
- 43:38So anyhow, we're sitting there at dinner and we're sitting
- 43:42across from him and he is, like talking to Paul.
- 43:45And he, like, said something just like so rude.
- 43:48I don't even totally remember what it was.
- 43:51He was just like the way he spoke to Paul.
- 43:53And so he says all this. I don't even know what to Paul
- 43:58and I just like set my pizza down and I just look at him and
- 44:02go, little boy, you need to stop talking right now.
- 44:09Hit him with the little. Boy he was.
- 44:12A short guy too. I really hit him where it hurt.
- 44:17Double So what I'm hearing here. Is that you thought someone was
- 44:19mean? So instead of being a mature
- 44:21adult and saying hey that's a bit disrespectful can you please
- 44:24stop? You decided to resort to
- 44:26childish bullying and name calling and insults about his
- 44:29appearance. I'm sorry if I'm not on your
- 44:31side with this. I think there's maybe a time and
- 44:34a place for being petty back but I don't know.
- 44:38This just feels immature for me. I mean I don't know, maybe I'd
- 44:42have done the same as a back in my early 20s when I was also
- 44:48more immature and didn't really have much emotional
- 44:51intelligence. But now I don't know.
- 44:54Maybe again I'm just too old but I just.
- 44:55I don't find this funny or helpful and I'm not sure.
- 44:59It's like a ha ha ha, I'm going to laugh about this thing.
- 45:02I don't know. I don't know.
- 45:04But I was like. You're so disrespectful to my
- 45:07husband and I am sick of it. You're not going to talk to him
- 45:10this way anymore. We're done.
- 45:11We're done with this and my sweet, kind, loving husband has
- 45:14allowed you to talk to him that way and I'm over it.
- 45:17I will not listen to you talk trash to him.
- 45:19I will not listen to you disrespect him again.
- 45:22You need to respect your elder son.
- 45:25It was everyone. There were like 10 people at the
- 45:27table and they were like, they all paused and were looking at
- 45:31me and looking at him. And he's just like sitting there
- 45:34like. And finally, one of the other
- 45:38guys at the table goes OK, like, I think we're good.
- 45:41I think we can move on from this conversation.
- 45:43I was like, no, no, no, I'm not done.
- 45:45Yeah, you know what? Generally sticking up for your
- 45:47partner, telling someone they're being disrespectful, asking them
- 45:50to stop, fine. But the rest and saying things
- 45:53like respect your eldest son is just a lot to me and the story
- 45:58is exhausting to listen to. Like I say, I think I'm too old
- 46:01for this nonsense. Don't be disrespecting.
- 46:03My spouse, I will come after you.
- 46:06Yeah, yeah. I think that that's, Oh no, I
- 46:09will. Happily disrespect Paul all day
- 46:12Until he learns to be a decent human being and stops being
- 46:15racist, transphobic, homophobic, misogynistic, and learns to
- 46:19actually treat people with kindness, I'm not going to go
- 46:21out of my way to treat him with more than a basic level of human
- 46:24decency. I don't wish him harm,
- 46:27obviously, unlike he does to other people, but I'm also more
- 46:31than happy to say that I do not like him and I do not have any
- 46:34respect for his views, his opinions, or his actions of the
- 46:37last few years. Simple as that.
- 46:39You know, it's fine with Morgan. Like if she wants to come for
- 46:41me, she can do, but do what you want.
- 46:44It's funny. And Paul and Morgan have
- 46:46responded to like other people and critics in the past, but
- 46:49they never have done with me. The most I've got is they're
- 46:51like, there's this girl who makes videos.
- 46:55I can't believe it. And then they just leave at
- 46:58that, which is always like, it makes me laugh because I'm like
- 47:001, not a girl. I'm a grown woman.
- 47:02I'm an adult. Let's let's acknowledge that.
- 47:06And two, they never actually refute anything I critique them
- 47:09for. They're just like, Oh my God, I
- 47:10can't believe she's talking about us.
- 47:13So, yeah, it's kind of boring. Anyway, Carl, trust me.
- 47:20Reasonable here and say that Morgan was just setting a strong
- 47:23boundary. And I do think that if that's
- 47:26what she was doing, I'd commend it.
- 47:28You know, I I will absolutely always advocate for people
- 47:31setting boundaries. Not tolerate, not tolerating
- 47:35people treating them or their loved ones badly, but I think
- 47:38you can do that without resorting to name calling and
- 47:41insulting someone's appearance and then laughing about it
- 47:43publicly afterwards, years afterwards as well.
- 47:46You know, I yeah, I don't agree with that.
- 47:49You need to be. Like in public, in front of
- 47:52other people, you need to be humble.
- 47:54That's again. There's.
- 47:56Setting boundaries and then there's this.
- 47:59I don't agree with trying to humble people and rubbish like
- 48:02that. Like it just comes across as
- 48:04mean and like you'll think and like you think you're better
- 48:07than these people. And I'm I'm not OK with that.
- 48:10And advocate for yourself, but not by being condescending to
- 48:14others. I don't think that's too much to
- 48:16ask for anyway. Then we go back to Carl's story
- 48:18of why she feels disrespected by her husband's friends.
- 48:20It just confuses me a bit. Someone.
- 48:23There was a comment that was made about the fact that Elijah
- 48:28and my baby, he said Mama 1st and he just says Mama, Mama,
- 48:31Mama. And this person, when we were
- 48:34telling this person that they were like, how hard did you have
- 48:39to work to get him to say that? Basically insinuating that like,
- 48:42I like, you know, really, really cared that he said everything.
- 48:47Garrett cut it. And he was like, because I've
- 48:49told Garrett, I'm like, I've kind of reached my limit.
- 48:50Like I'm this close. I'm this close.
- 48:54OK, OK. Maybe maybe this is just because
- 48:57I'm not a mum to a human being, but I don't understand or see
- 49:01the disrespect. But I don't understand or see
- 49:05the disrespect here. They're just asking how long it
- 49:07took your kid to learn something I don't like.
- 49:10Again, maybe this is the autism in me speaking.
- 49:13I don't see how that's a dig. Maybe I'm picking it too
- 49:15literally. I don't know.
- 49:17Like when I have my Chira and she obviously she was a dog, but
- 49:21she was my daughter, you know, and she would do tricks and
- 49:23stuff. And some people would be, oh,
- 49:25you know, she'd be really well behaved on like walks and she'd
- 49:27always stop at the crossings and stuff like that.
- 49:29And whenever I had issues with like my voice and my throat and
- 49:33not being able to speak properly, we learned to
- 49:35communicate with hand signals and stuff.
- 49:36She was fantastic at that. Really, really good girl, which
- 49:39also got helpful as she got shoulder and start to lose her
- 49:41hearing because she couldn't always hear me.
- 49:43But we could always like do the hand signals and stuff.
- 49:45And we used to have a thing where like I would tap her lead
- 49:47in a certain way to get her attention and do the hand
- 49:49signal. Anyway, she was a beautiful,
- 49:51very, very smart, incredibly clever girl.
- 49:54She was wonderful. And it's so nice I can talk
- 49:56about her now without just immediately bursting into tears.
- 49:59And but anyway, when she were doing these things, sometimes
- 50:01she would ask, oh, how long did it take her to learn that?
- 50:03How did you train her to do this?
- 50:05And sometimes, you know, I'd help my friends and neighbours
- 50:07with training their dogs and stuff like that and they'd be
- 50:09like, oh, wow, like how'd you do that?
- 50:10How long did it take? In my, my experience, that's
- 50:15just them being genuinely curious and interested, right?
- 50:19And trying to, like, learn about you and your little 1, isn't it?
- 50:25I don't, I don't know. I don't know, I don't know.
- 50:28And yeah, again, maybe I'm, maybe I'm taking this too
- 50:31literally. I just, I don't see how that
- 50:33comment is worth this whole podcast run so publicly to
- 50:37thousands of people. I don't know.
- 50:38Maybe there's more to this that she's not repeating.
- 50:41I don't know. Again, we weren't there.
- 50:43We can't say. But Carl then goes on a several
- 50:46minute long run about how a person ran their trolley into
- 50:48hers at Whole Foods and she had to unpack it all with her
- 50:51therapist. Is this not just one of the most
- 50:54like tone deaf middle class 1st world problems that you've heard
- 50:59in a while? It is for me, so let's just
- 51:02ignore it and move on. Call the NC episode by
- 51:05complaining about how they have a low rating on Spotify and how
- 51:07it must be the haters. Another thing I noticed.
- 51:10About the haters, Oh no. On Spotify, no they didn't.
- 51:14They like there must be. People giving it like one star
- 51:16reviews because it's got like a 2.9 and there are only like 90
- 51:20people that have like room to 9. People.
- 51:24So like that, that does mean that like anyways, it's just
- 51:28really funny, like when people got another way word.
- 51:30It really is. Why?
- 51:31But it's funny, you know? Spotify actually has a rule
- 51:33where you have to actually, actually listen to the podcast
- 51:36for a substantial amount of time before you're allowed to review
- 51:39it. So clearly this isn't just
- 51:40people like clicking on it and being like, oh, I'm going to
- 51:42give it a low rating for the fun of it.
- 51:44Like it's actually people who've consumed the content and formed
- 51:47an opinion. No, I don't know.
- 51:49I don't know if you want to give it a one.
- 51:51Star baby girl. Go ahead for it, Honey Boo Boo.
- 51:55Living in your granny's basement.
- 51:57And again. This is the final thing we're
- 51:58going to talk about, but we've been over this.
- 52:01Most of the people who criticise Morgan are just regular adults
- 52:03with decent lives who make decent points and comments like
- 52:07this just make you seem like a bit of a mean girl.
- 52:11But yeah, I did look up their podcast on Spotify and at the
- 52:13time of writing the script, which was also a little while
- 52:15ago now, they were down to a two star rate in with 65 reviews.
- 52:20So that's fun for them. You know, I'm going to look it
- 52:22up now because it's been a while since I wrote this script.
- 52:25I'm oh God, so sorry. I've been juggling so many
- 52:27projects at the minute and so many different videos and big
- 52:29videos too. So it's taken me a while to
- 52:31actually get around to filming, especially because I'm having to
- 52:34film at night while I'm staying with my parents because I've, so
- 52:36I've been, as I've said to a few of you in a few videos, trying
- 52:42to buy, Well, I said a house at first, I'm actually trying to
- 52:44buy a flat. And so that means I'm saving up
- 52:48the very last bit of my deposit and not having like £1000 in.
- 52:51Well, it's close to 1100 by the time I left.
- 52:54Not having that in rent to pay every month is really, really
- 52:58helping. So my parents have been absolute
- 53:00angels there. So I'm just saving up the very
- 53:02last bit of my deposit now and I'm looking at flats.
- 53:05And then, yeah, it's going, it's going quite well.
- 53:08It's very exciting and I'm very nervous about it.
- 53:10But I found some really nice places in Leeds City centre that
- 53:13I'd really like. And it's like close to the train
- 53:15station really good. I, I am struggling a bit though.
- 53:17I found one flat that I loved and it was perfect.
- 53:20It was 2 bedrooms and I was like, oh, the balcony is
- 53:22gorgeous and this is great. Let me just like look at where
- 53:25it is because I was, I was ready to be like, let's get a booking
- 53:28in like, sorry, let's book a viewing to see this because it
- 53:30was so good. And then I looked it up and I
- 53:32realised it was in the building that my ex lives.
- 53:34And I was like, oh, maybe not, Yeah, I'd rather not Come on
- 53:40Spotify, advise your search not working.
- 53:42Here we go. Sorry, I keep going off on
- 53:44tangents. I I haven't seen people in like
- 53:46a week at this point. So I'm just using this as an
- 53:49excuse to chat. I'm sorry.
- 53:50I mean, I've seen people with this, my parents and like the
- 53:53people working on the tills in Tesco.
- 53:54So OK, we now have 73 ratings and it's still on 2.0 stars.
- 54:00So that's a shame. I you know, they're still doing
- 54:04the kind of like weird click bait titles are like, you know,
- 54:10they always complain about, like they complain about people on
- 54:13Instagram and stuff like not being modest enough and blah,
- 54:15blah, blah. And they're not so funny because
- 54:17like, you know, I had an issue before about like one of their
- 54:20titles people, the last one, their titles being high rise
- 54:22panty girls in a low rise jeans world.
- 54:25And how like maybe don't be like we're so modest and godly when
- 54:28you're calling yourselves panty girls, you know, suddenly
- 54:31getting worse than After Dark and bikini karaoke.
- 54:35Like they know what they're doing.
- 54:37They know what they're trying to do.
- 54:38It's a little hypocritical. Anyway, if you'd like me to keep
- 54:42reviewing these, I will do. I've not seen any of the three
- 54:44episodes or written anything about them, so if you want to
- 54:47carry on with this I will. Like I say, it's just like quite
- 54:49nice to do something fun and snarky.
- 54:51And even though some of the topics are quite serious, like
- 54:53the marital rape, in general, these are easier, faster videos
- 54:59to film. And yeah, it's just nice to have
- 55:02something like that's a little shorter and more digestible.
- 55:04So if you would like to see more, please let me know down in
- 55:06the comments. If you have any thoughts on this
- 55:08podcast, please let me know as well.
- 55:10But for now, thank you so, so much for watching.
