- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 0:46Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 0:55Speaker 1: border and families will.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Be protected sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Even in my book, I wrote this part called one
- 1:02Speaker 3: hundred dollars Off Days, where my goal is to build
- 1:03Speaker 3: my business on.
- 1:04Speaker 4: My off days, just my off days, because.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I was working five days a week on my job
- 1:08Speaker 3: two days a week on my dream every single day,
- 1:10Speaker 3: my goal is to go out and sell four T shirts.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I'm selling T shirts for twenty five dollars, so I'm
- 1:14Speaker 3: trying to sell four T shirts. I'm trying to make
- 1:15Speaker 3: one hundred dollars on each off day. So my boy's like, nah,
- 1:18Speaker 3: you got to grind, man, you gotta work every single day.
- 1:21Speaker 3: I know myself, I'm low key lazy. I work hard
- 1:23Speaker 3: because I'm kind of lazy. I want to get to
- 1:25Speaker 3: a point where I gotta do nothing work smart. Yeah yeah,
- 1:28Speaker 3: I mean that's what lazy people said. Okay, yeah, my
- 1:34Speaker 3: goal is I'm focused on whatever happens throughout the week
- 1:36Speaker 3: is extra. But my goal is on my off days,
- 1:39Speaker 3: feel it will work. If I can put time into
- 1:42Speaker 3: my job, I can put time to my business. So
- 1:44Speaker 3: I started hitting these these hundred dollars each off day.
- 1:47Speaker 3: So I called my boss, like, yo, can you only
- 1:49Speaker 3: put me on four days a week instead of five?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Because I knew if I could make two hundred dollars
- 1:54Speaker 3: on two off days, if I had three off days,
- 1:56Speaker 3: I can make three hundred. And that joint started to hit.
- 1:58Speaker 3: So long story, short time, I quit my job. I
- 2:01Speaker 3: was like working a day a week. So I like,
- 2:03Speaker 3: so I teach people to transition out of their job.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Let's set these small goals and build from there.
- 2:08Speaker 5: So can you talk about that because that's important as
- 2:09Speaker 5: far as it's all about strategy in life, and it's
- 2:12Speaker 5: like you never just want to jump out the window
- 2:14Speaker 5: in anything, So can you break that down a little
- 2:16Speaker 5: bit to transition out of your job?
- 2:18Speaker 4: I liked that idea?
- 2:19Speaker 6: Was it like I'm thinking myself, like, was there any
- 2:21Speaker 6: fear in that? Like or how did that play on
- 2:23Speaker 6: your mind? Like I'm doing this, I'm out.
- 2:25Speaker 4: I don't know. It wasn't really.
- 2:27Speaker 3: It wasn't really a fear because it happened so gradually,
- 2:31Speaker 3: you know what I mean. It's like with this podcast,
- 2:32Speaker 3: you drop one episode, then two, then three, and it
- 2:35Speaker 3: starts to build. So I'm trying to make on my
- 2:38Speaker 3: just two my goal is to make two hundred dollars
- 2:40Speaker 3: a week. If I can't sell eight T shirts in
- 2:42Speaker 3: seven days, you know what I mean. Like, so it
- 2:45Speaker 3: was it wasn't like a fear of oh I got
- 2:48Speaker 3: to go quit my job.
- 2:49Speaker 4: That would be scary.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I'm just trying to make a couple more dollars to
- 2:52Speaker 3: like go to the club and hang out and put
- 2:54Speaker 3: something on a bottle. I still wan't going to buy
- 2:56Speaker 3: it myself, but I want to be a person that
- 2:58Speaker 3: could chip in. So it was wasn't really a fear,
- 3:01Speaker 3: especially because since I was a kid, I've always been trying.
- 3:04Speaker 3: The hard part was sticking when I'm only making two
- 3:08Speaker 3: hundred dollars a week, or sticking when I'm not really
- 3:12Speaker 3: making any money. Instead of saying, yo, you know what,
- 3:14Speaker 3: I think, I'm gona try real estate because T shirts
- 3:16Speaker 3: don't work, it was just me. So the hard part
- 3:18Speaker 3: was just staying in my lane and you know, just
- 3:21Speaker 3: stay in one course for a while.
- 3:24Speaker 6: It goes back to your and I looked at you
- 3:26Speaker 6: your page The life cycle of a good idea. Yeah,
- 3:29Speaker 6: this sounds like the life of everybody goes through it too,
- 3:32Speaker 6: you know what I mean.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Like, can you break down that process? Because I'm sure
- 3:35Speaker 4: there's a lot.
- 3:35Speaker 6: Of people that have ideas and they make it to
- 3:38Speaker 6: the first age of excitement, but they never make it
- 3:40Speaker 6: to the last dage.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Oh never.
- 3:42Speaker 3: So I came across this presentation. I was on tour
- 3:45Speaker 3: with ET twenty seventeen, and I think like a few
- 3:48Speaker 3: hours before I was supposed to turn in my presentation.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I just I was like, yo, I got it.
- 3:54Speaker 3: The life cycle of a good idea is excitement. Everybody
- 3:57Speaker 3: gets excited about the idea. But then you got to
- 3:59Speaker 3: move to where you got to start evolving the idea,
- 4:02Speaker 3: which is not as exciting as when you got the
- 4:05Speaker 3: id and you get to tell everybody and you see
- 4:07Speaker 3: the vision. Yo, this goal was taking me out of
- 4:08Speaker 3: my job. So excitement, then evolution, then engagement. So after
- 4:13Speaker 3: you evolve it, you got to engage people. That gets
- 4:15Speaker 3: scary because you got to actually approach people and make.
- 4:18Speaker 4: A sale and try to buy in.
- 4:20Speaker 3: You got to get people to buy in. But then
- 4:22Speaker 3: with engagement comes resistance. You'll automatically have those people to say, yo,
- 4:26Speaker 3: I don't want to buy it, and then you have
- 4:28Speaker 3: to make a decision. And the decision is either get
- 4:30Speaker 3: excited about something else or move into expansion.
- 4:34Speaker 4: But the trick is taking each stage with you.
- 4:37Speaker 3: So if you're excited and you move to evolution, you
- 4:39Speaker 3: got to be excited while you're evolving the idea. And
- 4:42Speaker 3: some people move from evolution to engagement, but they stop
- 4:45Speaker 3: evolving the content. So once you start to hit resistance,
- 4:49Speaker 3: if you're still engaging people and evolving. You're asking people, Okay,
- 4:53Speaker 3: why aren't you buying this? Because you're still evolving it.
- 4:55Speaker 3: You're still trying to get better, meaning you're still engaging,
- 4:58Speaker 3: you're assessing it.
- 4:59Speaker 4: You're assessed.
- 5:00Speaker 3: And then you make a decision to just don't get
- 5:02Speaker 3: excited about something else, fight through it, take all that data,
- 5:05Speaker 3: get re excited about the same concept, retool it, keep engaging,
- 5:10Speaker 3: go through the resistance.
- 5:11Speaker 4: And then you expand.
- 5:12Speaker 6: You said something important and Shotty comes from a sales background,
- 5:16Speaker 6: and you come from a sales background. You said A
- 5:18Speaker 6: sales starts when somebody says no.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Oh for sure. In my mind, I'm.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Like, yeah, somebody said no, it's next to the next person.
- 5:25Speaker 6: What's the importance of that, Like, what's the philosophy bond.
- 5:27Speaker 4: That I mean?
- 5:28Speaker 3: When you go into a shoe store, obviously somebody comes
- 5:30Speaker 3: up to you and they're like, can I help you?
- 5:32Speaker 3: And you always say no, I'm good, Like we're trained
- 5:35Speaker 3: to say no. The actual set the game starts when
- 5:39Speaker 3: they say no first. So I was expecting, yo, you
- 5:42Speaker 3: want to buy a T shirt? And they say no.
- 5:44Speaker 3: I'm like, all right, man, what I gotta go to
- 5:46Speaker 3: the next person. But then I realized that one of
- 5:49Speaker 3: my mentors said, YO, make them tell you no twice.
- 5:52Speaker 3: So I'm like, yo, would you like to make by
- 5:54Speaker 3: his T shirt? And they say no, I'm good. I'm like, yo,
- 5:56Speaker 3: are you sure?
- 5:57Speaker 4: Look at this? Like look at that, like this this
- 5:59Speaker 4: this will be the up with your shoes.
- 6:01Speaker 3: And for some reason I started converting, Like people like, oh,
- 6:04Speaker 3: all right, yeah, you're right, let me get it right.
- 6:07Speaker 3: So now you know, fast forward. I was able to
- 6:09Speaker 3: leave the cheesecake factory and jump into the Kiaks. I
- 6:12Speaker 3: make you tell me no. T you walk away because Yo,
- 6:16Speaker 3: I've converted on the third sale, I mean the third no,
- 6:18Speaker 3: the fourth no. And sometimes people will buy because they
- 6:21Speaker 3: tired of you ask it and they know you're not
- 6:22Speaker 3: gonna let them go. Look I got all right, cool,
- 6:24Speaker 3: just give me that one here ticket, you know more
- 6:28Speaker 3: than once?
- 6:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:28Speaker 5: Now, the sales is we talked about that a few
- 6:30Speaker 5: times on the podcast is something that most people are
- 6:32Speaker 5: extremely afraid of because nobody likes to talk to strangers.
- 6:35Speaker 5: Like we're conditioning as kids not to talk to strangers,
- 6:37Speaker 5: Like that's the first thing they tell you, don't talk
- 6:38Speaker 5: to strangers, and that carries over as an adult, and
- 6:41Speaker 5: it's like to walk up to somebody, especially to try
- 6:43Speaker 5: to ask them to buy a product and to spend
- 6:45Speaker 5: money with you. It's like it's terrifying for most people.
- 6:47Speaker 5: But I always say, like, if you can actually sell,
- 6:50Speaker 5: do sales. I recommend anybody that wants to be in
- 6:53Speaker 5: business to do at least one year of sales selling something.
- 6:56Speaker 5: I don't care whether it's life insurance, whether it's knives,
- 6:59Speaker 5: whether it's the cell phone cases.
- 7:01Speaker 4: You gotta be able to sell something that.
- 7:02Speaker 5: If you could sell something a it takes a fear
- 7:04Speaker 5: away and you'll realize that the worst thing in the
- 7:07Speaker 5: world is not a no. It's not like people say no,
- 7:10Speaker 5: you're still living like you know what I mean. It's
- 7:12Speaker 5: like you got to develop stick extend to be an entrepreneur.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I got a class shouts out of my man
- 7:16Speaker 3: saying he came on our coaching call. I have a
- 7:19Speaker 3: call in the mornings, and he said, man, how do
- 7:21Speaker 3: I take my business to the next level? And my
- 7:23Speaker 3: customer was like, Yo, how many people do you ask
- 7:25Speaker 3: to buy your service? He said, Man, not that many.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I said, YO, give me a number, like how many
- 7:30Speaker 3: people do you actually ask He said, well, uh, not
- 7:35Speaker 3: a whole lot.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Bro.
- 7:36Speaker 3: How many did you asked yesterday? He said none. I said,
- 7:39Speaker 3: that's the problem. So this is what I want you.

- 10:30Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 10:32Speaker 3: It's afraid to ask for the sale, I said, Or
- 10:36Speaker 3: he's afraid to attest. He's afraid to get into sales.
- 10:41Speaker 3: But what I told him was, I just want you
- 10:42Speaker 3: to ask three people a day. That's your goal. I
- 10:45Speaker 3: don't care whether they buy or not, because the pressure
- 10:47Speaker 3: is in their answer. But if you condition your mind
- 10:51Speaker 3: and say, yo, my goal is not to make a sale.
- 10:54Speaker 3: My goal is to just ask five people every day.
- 10:56Speaker 3: So I can go to the store and say, yo,
- 10:57Speaker 3: I want to bother you. My coach, make me do this.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Would you like to buy this T shirt? Okay, that's one.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Hey Mom, I know I ain't talk to you in
- 11:05Speaker 3: a little while. I never I've asked, I never like
- 11:07Speaker 3: try to sell you anything. But let me get my
- 11:09Speaker 3: number out. And if you can start to get your
- 11:11Speaker 3: number out three sales, five, just make five calls.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Make your goal.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Make your goal of the work, not the reward, because
- 11:19Speaker 3: the reward is scary because if you don't get it,
- 11:21Speaker 3: you're disappointed. But what you can't control is the work.
- 11:23Speaker 3: That's the only thing control. So is there it's like.
- 11:27Speaker 6: A fine line between persistence and annoyance because I could
- 11:30Speaker 6: imagine like, yo, get this, get this, get this, and
- 11:31Speaker 6: it's like, all right, is there a fine line there?
- 11:34Speaker 3: To make a sell, you gotta be kind of annoying
- 11:35Speaker 3: a little bit, Okay. I mean at the end of
- 11:40Speaker 3: the day, you got to ask curtain people. It's going
- 11:41Speaker 3: to be somebody you want to get on the podcast.
- 11:43Speaker 3: They say no, next time you're seeing them, you need
- 11:45Speaker 3: to ask them again. It's only our inside we feel
- 11:48Speaker 3: like we're being annoying. But sometimes people just forget or
- 11:52Speaker 3: and I learned this at the cheesecake factory, So dope,
- 11:54Speaker 3: people want to they want to eat cheesecake. But they
- 11:58Speaker 3: want you to convince them. They want to do it,
- 12:01Speaker 3: but the right thing to say is no because it's
- 12:03Speaker 3: high in fact calories. But they really want me to ask,
- 12:06Speaker 3: They really want me to convince. They feel good strong
- 12:09Speaker 3: will because they're saying no because they're on the diet.
- 12:11Speaker 4: We got this new one for they'd be happy when
- 12:14Speaker 4: I convince them no.
- 12:15Speaker 5: It's the no thing is extremely important, and it's important
- 12:17Speaker 5: for people to understand how to take things personal. And
- 12:20Speaker 5: you know, I just living in New York. I was
- 12:23Speaker 5: on the subway years ago and I just did like
- 12:26Speaker 5: an observation. It's like people these guys handing out like
- 12:28Speaker 5: free newspaper. They're free to any anybody that's like coming
- 12:31Speaker 5: through the turnstile, and every single person was like no,
- 12:34Speaker 5: I'm going to look. They was just and I'm thinking
- 12:37Speaker 5: to myself, like it's free. It's a free newspaper. Why
- 12:41Speaker 5: not take it. But it's like they're just conditioned that
- 12:44Speaker 5: he's trying to sell me. He's not even trying to sell,
- 12:46Speaker 5: it's giving it away and it's like no, It's like
- 12:50Speaker 5: the same thing. It's like a pretty girl, Like you
- 12:52Speaker 5: might want to dance with a pretty girl before you
- 12:54Speaker 5: even she's like no, it was like you didn't even
- 12:56Speaker 5: look at me, but she's just you. She's conditioned to
- 13:01Speaker 5: say no, So I say, I have to say, like
- 13:03Speaker 5: people in general are conditioned to say no. So peeling
- 13:06Speaker 5: back that layer and saying like well, why it's free,
- 13:09Speaker 5: it's a free newspaper, then you don't want to take it.
- 13:11Speaker 5: I mean, like, let me get the knowe out of
- 13:13Speaker 5: the west. And you're not going to convince everybody, but
- 13:15Speaker 5: some people once you just get that first layer, Like,
- 13:18Speaker 5: if you can get past that first layer, it's like
- 13:21Speaker 5: a home run after that.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I think how you how you do anything, is
- 13:24Speaker 3: how you do everything. So if if you're attempting to
- 13:28Speaker 3: make a sale and they say no, if you're working
- 13:31Speaker 3: on a product and you just can't figure it out,
- 13:33Speaker 3: like these mics, you just couldn't figure out how to
- 13:34Speaker 3: get it working, you'll probably stop at that too and
- 13:37Speaker 3: just get another mic. Right, But once you develop a
- 13:40Speaker 3: certain a certain level of persistence, once you develop that trade,
- 13:44Speaker 3: that carries to everything, you know what I mean, Like,
- 13:47Speaker 3: if you can be if you can be persistent in
- 13:49Speaker 3: a in a sales transaction, you could be persistent in
- 13:53Speaker 3: getting that person interested enough enough to date you or
- 13:56Speaker 3: trying to close that deal. I believe how you do anything,
- 13:58Speaker 3: it's how you do everything.
- 13:59Speaker 6: So you sound like you're gonna be the wholet on
- 14:01Speaker 6: Bachelor Man.
- 14:03Speaker 5: So what are some steps? Like you said you coach
- 14:04Speaker 5: people to become entrepreneurs in nine to five. What are
- 14:08Speaker 5: some steps. I'm sure there's a lot of people that
- 14:10Speaker 5: may listen to this podcast that have nine to five
- 14:13Speaker 5: jobs and want to become entrepreneurs. Like, what are some
- 14:14Speaker 5: practical steps that people can take.
- 14:16Speaker 3: I think the first step is just set a goal,
- 14:18Speaker 3: and I don't care what the goal is. Ideally, if
- 14:21Speaker 3: you're new in entrepreneurship, you don't want to set a sales.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Goal or a reward goal. You want to set a
- 14:27Speaker 4: work goal.
- 14:27Speaker 3: So your work goal might be starting out from six
- 14:31Speaker 3: to seven every single day, I'm going to work on
- 14:34Speaker 3: this product or this project, whatever it is I'm doing
- 14:37Speaker 3: from six to seven. If you got a podcast from
- 14:39Speaker 3: six to seven, I'm reaching out to people to be
- 14:41Speaker 3: on my I don't care what they say. Their answer
- 14:43Speaker 3: doesn't have anything to do with me, but for me
- 14:46Speaker 3: to hit my goal from six to seven, because that
- 14:48Speaker 3: works on consistency, you get more comfortable reaching out and
- 14:51Speaker 3: you're putting a whole bunch of people in your pipeline
- 14:53Speaker 3: for this particular scenario against what're podcasting. But the first
- 14:57Speaker 3: step is to set a con assistant goal that you
- 15:01Speaker 3: can hit, because you can't control if somebody buys or not,
- 15:04Speaker 3: you know what I mean. So I think the first
- 15:05Speaker 3: step is if you have a business, you set some
- 15:08Speaker 3: work goals, and out of those work goals, if you
- 15:11Speaker 3: get comfortable in that long enough, then you set some
- 15:13Speaker 3: small reward goals and you just do that consistently. My
- 15:17Speaker 3: goal is to sell one a day, whatever the product is,
- 15:19Speaker 3: Let me just sell one a day.
- 15:21Speaker 4: And you do that often enough, you'll get tired of.
- 15:23Speaker 5: That, now, you know what. I'm glad you said that,
- 15:24Speaker 5: because that's something that I learned early on in business
- 15:26Speaker 5: when I was first came into business, right, and I
- 15:29Speaker 5: learned that you can't.
- 15:32Speaker 4: People make the.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Mistake all the time because they say, Okay, I want
- 15:34Speaker 5: to make a hundred thousand dollars and in order to
- 15:36Speaker 5: do that, I need to make two thousand dollars a week, right,
- 15:39Speaker 5: And it's like, okay, I'm gonna make two thousand dollars
- 15:41Speaker 5: a week. I'm not going to work two weeks out
- 15:43Speaker 5: the year. So if I make two thousand and fifty weeks,
- 15:44Speaker 5: I make a hundred thousand dollars. But that's not really
- 15:47Speaker 5: an attainable goal because it's like, what does it take
- 15:50Speaker 5: to make two thousand dollars a week?
- 15:51Speaker 4: Right? You don't know's I've never done it.
- 15:53Speaker 5: So it's like, if you're selling a product, right, you
- 15:56Speaker 5: might say, Okay, I need to sell ten of these
- 15:59Speaker 5: whatever they are in order to make two thousand. But
- 16:03Speaker 5: even saying all right, I'm gonna sell ten products, that's
- 16:05Speaker 5: really not a good goal because how are you going
- 16:07Speaker 5: to sell ten products? You got to dig deeper to say, Okay,
- 16:09Speaker 5: in order to sell ten products, I know I need
- 16:11Speaker 5: to speak to one hundred people exactly. So the goal
- 16:15Speaker 5: is not to sell ten products. The goal is to
- 16:18Speaker 5: speak to one hundred people. So now get down even
- 16:20Speaker 5: deeper and it's like, okay, well, how do I speak
- 16:22Speaker 5: to one hundred people. I need to get twenty five referrals,
- 16:25Speaker 5: I need to go to five networking events. I need
- 16:28Speaker 5: to cold call one hundred people. That's the formula for
- 16:30Speaker 5: me to speak. My goal is to if I speak
- 16:32Speaker 5: to one hundred people, I'm going to sell ten products.
- 16:34Speaker 5: I'm going to make two thousands. But a lot of
- 16:36Speaker 5: times people do it backwards. They say I'm gonna make
- 16:38Speaker 5: two thousand. They get frustrated because it's June and they
- 16:42Speaker 5: haven't made any money, and it's like they just quit.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 3: The question is like, how long did you think it
- 16:46Speaker 3: was gonna take to be successful?
- 17:13Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 17:16Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 17:20Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 17:25Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 17:29Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 17:32Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 17:36Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 17:41Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 17:45Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 17:48Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 17:52Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 17:56Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 18:00Speaker 1: and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally
- 18:03Speaker 1: do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 18:08Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
