- 0:00Back to school is right here, and Amanda, you have now for the
- 0:04first time being affected by that. Yeah, this is my first back to
- 0:08school season, so it's not really back to school. You just go and
- 0:11Kidney is going to school. Yeah. I got an email just the other
- 0:16day and it was like, here's the final paperwork that you got to fill
- 0:19out for enrollment and all the forms, and then it was the school supply
- 0:23list, and I went, I'm not ready for this. I know we've
- 0:27talked about it a few times. We had the kindergarten kickoff back in May,
- 0:30and pretty soon we're going to have you know, orientation something like that
- 0:33probably, and I just I know she's ready for it, but it's so
- 0:37sad. But I was going through the list of school supplies and holy smokes,
- 0:41I mean it really just takes you back. Yeah. Is it changed
- 0:44Musch over the years? So you'd got the gl sticks? Sure, just
- 0:47the one thing of the Elmer's glue, like the old school glue that we
- 0:51used to use. Well, we use glue sticks too, but I remember
- 0:54ours being like purple glue sticks. Well, they had the blue ones if
- 0:57you were really cool. It's like the same kids you had blue Glo sticks
- 1:00were the ones that had like the one hundred and twenty eight pack of crayons.
- 1:03So they did make it very specific as far as how like the colors
- 1:07that you're getting, how many krans like twenty four pack thin or you know,
- 1:11whatever they make they can. They said that back then too, but
- 1:15then people would just still had to show up with this giant pack of crayons
- 1:19with the freaking pencil sharpener in it, with all of it. Yes,
- 1:22I remember the first TIMM was like, oh, do you want to borrow
- 1:23my macaroni and cheese? Remember like the really cool colors that they came out
- 1:27with, or they had like Litteranum sometimes nickle me pink or even remember the
- 1:33moment when people were using mechanical pencils instead of using the ones that you would
- 1:37sharpen. Yeah, never cared for those. You weren't a fan. They
- 1:40give me a Conderoga number two. That was the best one. Sometimes you
- 1:44pencils are still a thing, okay, oh thank god. And they got
- 1:49to be sharpened and they do come sharpen now yeah, well they did then
- 1:53too, but they I think it was just like an up charge. You
- 1:55know, if you if your parents were really being cheap. You get the
- 1:57ones that aren't sharpened. Are you familiar with that moment though? I had
- 2:01a few of them where you you were a cute outfit to school and you'd
- 2:05go up to sharpen your pencil so you could walk by the show off the
- 2:07Yeah. I remember trying to impress the boys by sharpening my pencil. Yeah,
- 2:13do that all the time. Hey boys, You see these Levi's brand
- 2:16new like my houffies. Yeah, had to ham them up too. Yeah,
- 2:23you like that good time? So that's emotional. I mean, how
- 2:27are you handling the fact that your daughter is pretty much going to be out
- 2:30of the house. Oh, stop it any day, knock it off.
- 2:32I have already put in vacation time for the first day of kindergarten, so
- 2:37I can just just be take it all in, soak it in, be
- 2:40there for her. She's so ready. We have construction over by our house
- 2:44right now, so we drive by the school every day, but now we
- 2:46go like right past it, and every single day after I pick her up
- 2:51from daycare, she's like, Mom, I just drop me off. I'm
- 2:54ready. I mean, she just poking me. You can just tell.
- 2:58And she's just so excited. Got to pick out her backpack and already did
- 3:01the school box, so she got to check that out. She's all about
- 3:05wanting school box, like the pencil box. What is that like? The
- 3:09schools like the box? Yeah? What are those things? Like? An
- 3:14organ I think it's called the school box. I'm forgetting what I call I
- 3:17was just literally it had a little latch. She just like an organizer and
- 3:23where was that going with us? Pick it out her backpack? That totally
- 3:27lost my train. Something about a protractor. No, no protractors, because
- 3:31you got to use that once throughout twelve. You get it every year and
- 3:35then you'll use it one time and you'll go, oh that's fun, and
- 3:38then that's it. It was. It was kind of one of those like
- 3:43the T nine calculator. I feel like we didn't use that really either.
- 3:46Really remember that I was also an integrated Maybe I didn't say calculus or pre
- 3:53kuc or any of that. But yeah, she's she's definitely ready. She's
- 3:58excited about it. I uh, that's exciting. Oh that's where I was
- 4:01going. She got a backpack and with it it had a lunch box,
- 4:06and she is so excited. She thinks we're going to be packing our lunches
- 4:10every day, not the case or what. No, you're getting hot lunch
- 4:14lunch. I mean, come on now, I know maybe every once in
- 4:17a while, but did you pack lunches? You never never got a lunch
- 4:21a cold lunch once. I don't remember that either. I never got money
- 4:25for all the cars either. We also had like a lot of great options
- 4:30for food. Yes, where'd you go to school, well, Dina Deer
- 4:32Creek. You'd walk in and you'd automatically get whatever the meal was. Yeah,
- 4:36the entree, the Italian Dunker my favorite. Then you'd go over to
- 4:42the salad. Everybody el was soup. How are they getting away with that
- 4:45Italian Dunkers? That's a cheese on bread, Like, that's not Bara and
- 4:49Nara also, And then you'd go over and you could either get a sub
- 4:54or pizza. And then there was always a Hamburger, always a Hamberger.
- 4:58Yeah, it was always a we never we don't have We didn't have options
- 5:00at all. Don't dare ask for like extra of anything. I remember the
- 5:05time they transitioned for where you could then get it used to be chocolate milk
- 5:09was only on Fridays. Eventually it was every day and that was a game
- 5:13changer. Yeah, opening those milk cartons when we did kindergarten kickoff. That
- 5:16was kind of one of the things, like showing you how to do it.
- 5:18No matter how many how many times you train, you're gonna get a
- 5:21soggy one one day and it's just absolutely blimy ruin your outfit, like a
- 5:26minute in the morning, big nutty eight point seven. You know, there's
- 5:29a lot of things that we all disagree on. However, I would think
- 5:31that we all are in agreeance. There is one way and one way only
- 5:35to do the macarena without a doubt, right. I mean we've been doing
- 5:40it for years. I haven't done it in a while. Let me see
- 5:43if I know it. Yeah, it comes right back to you. It's
- 5:45like riding a bicycle. Yeah you got it. I swing got it on
- 5:48the booty is shake it? Shake it? I yes. Well. A
- 5:51video has gone viral on TikTok of a bunch of gen z ers. Okay,
- 5:56sit down, not having it. Don't even try to mess with the
- 5:59maka. They're doing the macarena like some kind of dance, and they're not
- 6:03doing it right. They're doing some other modified TikTok version of the macarena.
- 6:10Are they adding like a little bit more hip action because sometimes, like you
- 6:13know, the cub and shuffle, I always think like sometimes they add like
- 6:15more of like a like you know, some people just add a little bit
- 6:18more flair to it, or a little boogie woogie to it, or like
- 6:21the cha chaw slide when it says what did they say? What did they
- 6:27say? Where you do the cha chaan, then you cha chaw real smooth?
- 6:30Oh yeah, yeah, yeah sure, And that's open for interpretation.
- 6:33Yeah, exactly. Some people do different things, but the mocarena just do
- 6:38it the right way. These kids are adding, like you know, with
- 6:40TikTok dances, there's a lot of like like elbow elbowly armed thingies, and
- 6:45they're doing this thing where they're kind of doing a wave, like making the
- 6:49wave motion with their hand. It's just not right. Why not? Okay?
- 6:54Doing the wave is a different dance people. In one second? Do
- 7:02you know what she's saying? I played the song when I DJ weddings,
- 7:06But it's like when there's kids are that's a woman literally suggesting that when our
- 7:11boyfriend's out of town and his two friends happened to be there like that she's
- 7:15doing some sort of heinous thing. I mean, really adult pay attention to
- 7:20lyrics. It's hilarious because I would have never picked that up. Well,
- 7:23most of the song you don't understand because it's in Spanish. But then all
- 7:27of a sudden in comes this girl and it's just like, Okay, what
- 7:30was I supposed to do? He was my boyfriend was out of town and
- 7:32his two friends were looking so fun? What why is that in there?
- 7:39Then back into the it really is uncomfortable, heinous, what like just the
- 7:49I don't even know the guy. I just feel horrible for him. It's
- 7:55really the whole point of his two friends, I mean boys friends are anyway,
- 8:05So the macarine has been ruined by gen Z. It's over, No,
- 8:07not like yeah, I mean you think it will make it because I
- 8:11mean now with like the Wobble and you know all these new like line dances,
- 8:16I don't know if I know the wabble? Do I know the wobble?
- 8:18You know the wobble? Do I know the Wobble? I feel like
- 8:20I haven't been to a dance in a long time. I haven't been to
- 8:24a wedding dance or anything like that. I still feel like I'm in the
- 8:28oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Do I know that. I don't know
- 8:31that I'll look like an idiot trying to do it, but I think if
- 8:35somebody did it, I would kind of follow. And also, I mean
- 8:37I was the captain of the Rhythmats dance team and witting Nadier Creek. So
- 8:43you just do it one time and I'll pick it up and renowned dance team
- 8:46here in the area. I get Amanda in the morning, see seven and
- 8:50now Amanda stills. Let's see, let's see rout toy by Valley Service Mechanical.
- 8:56Well, it was viral yesterday country singer Ingrid andres. Are we still
- 9:01saying singer? Well, of course, I mean she does have some really
- 9:05good music. She completely destroyed the national anthem And in case you missed it,
- 9:09this is what happened at the home run Derby on Monday night. The
- 9:16bums bust Yahoo do the night what less. So when we heard this and
- 9:33we were playing it back yesterday, I could have juk like, what was
- 9:35she drunk? Like? What was going on here? There was some rumblings
- 9:39you had heard that maybe there was an auto tune situation. Yeah, using
- 9:43auto tune, and if you're off and the autotune is going to like pull
- 9:46the notes that you're singing in all sorts of directions. And obviously there there
- 9:50was some incorrect notes, to say the least, so that to me makes
- 9:54more sense of what she is saying. Yeah, she jumped on her Instagram
- 9:56stories yesterday and said, I was drunk last night, checking myself into a
- 10:00facility today to get the help that I need. This was not me last
- 10:03night. She acceended an apology not only to America but to the Major League
- 10:07Baseball sports fans, and she ended it by saying, I'll let you know
- 10:11how rehab is. I hear it's super fun. That doesn't sit well with
- 10:16me. I mean, maybe that's just her personality, but to me anyway,
- 10:20it reads like somebody who's not gonna take the reabs seriously more so,
- 10:22and you see celebrities do this when they do something wrong or get you know,
- 10:26a duy or something. It's like, I'll go to rehab just for
- 10:28the appearance of it anyway, and then I'll get out and continue to do
- 10:31what I'm the you know who actually just went through this situation. Remember l
- 10:35King. Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, that's right at them at the
- 10:39Grand Opera. Yes, I forgot about that. I don't know. Just
- 10:43listen, even if you're drunk, and you would have to be so for
- 10:46it to be that bad. You're a professional singer. Listen, I am
- 10:50again just to bring up the band thing. You're sorry, but in the
- 10:54band low standards, Like we've had shows where you know, people are bringing
- 10:58shots to the stage and listen, we got well your rock stars. I
- 11:01felt pretty good. But if you're like confident in what you're doing, like
- 11:03in this case, playing guitar, it's like you can still do it even
- 11:07if you're hammered. You would have to be so hammered to sing that bad,
- 11:11to the point where you wouldn't be able to walk. But she looked
- 11:13like she was able to walk it showcase any sort of Like I am belligerent
- 11:18and I'm not really paid a whole lot of attention to her, so I
- 11:20didn't. I wouldn't know what drunk ingrid looks like compared to not, but
- 11:24I think you'd be able to kind of tell even just like slurring or anything,
- 11:28but I would definitely. I think it's probably more of the autotune issue.
- 11:33I'm sure she was drunk. I don't doubt that. Yeah, but
- 11:35I think that was the problem with it being so bad. Hello and Adele.
- 11:39If you were hoping to get some new music from her, or just
- 11:43really anything in the next couple of years, it doesn't look like that's going
- 11:46to happen. I didn't have any plans for any music at all. I
- 11:48want a big break after this, and I think I want to do other
- 11:52creative things just for a little while. Big break, I mean, it's
- 11:56got to be a grind doing the Vegas residency, Oh yeah, for sure.
- 11:58And she's very vocal about wanting to continue on with her family, maybe
- 12:01have another kid. So good for her. Good I'm suk Man. The
- 12:07Jonas brothers, they were recently at the Calgary Stampede in rodeo and these boys,
- 12:13you know, they wanted to play to the crowd, so they decided,
- 12:16say in your laying boys, but they wanted to crossover into the country
- 12:20world with this. I get. I mean you could barely hear it,
- 12:31I know, but it's it's just not good in my open, which is
- 12:33because it's weird. Let him do the thing they want to, you know,
- 12:37post Malones doing this whole country album. He's doing great though. Oh
- 12:41okay, so it's okay for post. I am really excited about him.
- 12:43Maybe the Jonahs brothers need to just come up with more of an original and
- 12:46maybe I could decipher whether or not they can be the crossovers that. No,
- 12:52yeah, you're the authority on country music, wouldn't you say that's like
- 12:54the country song though? Oh, hands down? I mean of the last
- 12:58like forty years anyway. Yeah, that's just if you don't know that song
- 13:01in any generation, you crazy. You'd have to be nuts. Amanda in
- 13:07the Morning on SIG seven, I want you to think about your partner,
- 13:11okay, because when you partner up with somebody, a pretty good chance you're
- 13:13hoping partner with somebody. That was just sounded like back in college when they're
- 13:18like, hey, you're gonna have to do a class project. Everybody find
- 13:22a partner and then everyone scrambles. Then you're the one sitting there without and
- 13:24then it's like the other the other loser. You gotta partner up with you
- 13:28at the worst, Like in college doing that, it's like I get high
- 13:31school when you're together and you're seeing everybody. Yeah, but in college.
- 13:37I'm like, this is so weird. I know. Anyway in life,
- 13:41when you're partnering up, when you're mating up, ideally you find somebody,
- 13:45a man who is you know, loyal, somebody who's not looking to you
- 13:48know, that's really what we strive for is find you know that in most
- 13:52people? Of course, did you know that men with beards are more likely
- 13:56to be loyal? To be a one woman man? So a full on
- 14:01beard or just facial hair in general. Interesting ask It's sort of like the
- 14:05more the better, the bigger and the bushier the beard, the more loyal
- 14:09your man will be. Now this is not me just saying that. This
- 14:11actually was a study done over at Warsaw University. Oh really, they did
- 14:16a whole study four hundred and fourteen men aged eighteen to forty examined facial hair
- 14:22enhancement motivations, and what they found is that clean shaven men reported more quote
- 14:28mate seeking motivation. So basically, if you're taking care of yourself, it
- 14:35likely means that you're doing it to you know, find some partners, or
- 14:39you just are taking pride in your body and who you are. Well,
- 14:43man having more facial hair reported less mate seeking motivation, but more mate retention
- 14:48and kin care motivation as in their better parents. Really yep, so they
- 14:54don't care at all about how they look because they care so so deeply about
- 15:00their spouse and their kids. Oh all right, well, I mean I
- 15:03notice there's some tension here, and I think it's probably because you're realizing your
- 15:07husband keeps a pretty it's pretty clean face, just a little scruffy from time
- 15:13to time. But now I'm gonna feel like, oh, workmedia, huh
- 15:16huh. Do you notice when he does get a little scruffy that he's spending
- 15:20a little more time with the kids, sending you nice texts? He's there,
- 15:22he's doing airplane rides in the living room with out in the back playing
- 15:26ball. As soon as that razor comes out mysteriously staying l at work,
- 15:31he woke up and he's like, who are these kids? Like in a
- 15:37minute in the morning on a big houndy eight points seven. Well, this
- 15:41is a concerning say, the least survey done of Generation Z discovered that over
- 15:46half of them fifty six percent, are getting their health advice from TikTok oh.
- 15:52Boy. Yeah, and we always thought like Google was you know,
- 15:56well, Google number two in this survey, that was the second option,
- 15:58and at a mere eleven percent. They say they got their health advice from
- 16:04qualified doctors, so not by any means their preferred choice. Now why are
- 16:10they doing this? Well, they say, first and foremost, it's free,
- 16:14right percent free. And secondly, it's quick faster just to look it
- 16:18up or look it up on TikTok, rather than going in scheduling an appointment,
- 16:22sitting in that lobby watching soap operas with a bunch of strangers. I
- 16:26mean, you know, there are some benefits. I mean, I'm not
- 16:30going to sit here in to hate on them completely because I'm the first person
- 16:33whenever there's a symptom or whatever, I'm going to go to the internet right
- 16:37away, Google it, kind of go through it. Usually I'm like,
- 16:42eh, I'm just gonna go in. I'm always going to just go into
- 16:45the doc. Once you've read that you're probably dying, it's like, okay,
- 16:48I'll probably go I'll go check this out. I'll go see what they
- 16:52have to say about the certain death I'm facing. Yeah, I don't know,
- 16:56are we talking like serious medical problems or are we talking, uh,
- 17:00like the color of your urine and or you know those well I don't know.
- 17:04Go ahead and google color of my urine is off and see what it
- 17:10tells you. I guarantee it. It's fatal when it comes to uh kids,
- 17:14I remember my kids are out of this stage, but when they were
- 17:17little, the amount of times I googled like the color of poop? Yeah,
- 17:21because and like the different like consistencies of it, because you're like,
- 17:23okay, what does this mean? Is it like this? Because at that
- 17:26point they can't talk to you. You don't know what's going on. Yeah.
- 17:30I've never had kids, but I personally know that there's a wide range
- 17:33of those things you're describing. So, but some are serious, some or
- 17:37not. I mean, I get there's a lot of health advice. So
- 17:40we're just talking health advice, not actual like medical conditions, correct, you
- 17:44know, Yeah, like there's actual trainers and doctors who are on TikTok giving
- 17:48legitimate advice. Yeah, but there is also so much of it that you
- 17:52it needs to be a little bit more personalized. It's not just a blanket
- 17:56of oh, this is how it's gonna work for you kind of thing.
- 17:59It's amazing to me, though, how many people take what they see and
- 18:02just run with it, whether it be like on TikTok, it's like,
- 18:04oh, I'm just gonna go ahead and try this. They told me to
- 18:07brush my teeth with applesider, and I'm gonna lose ten pounds. Well,
- 18:10you can rob apple cider at vinegar on everything and it works. It's a
- 18:12miracle. Just it's wild to me. Yeah, I mean, like anything
- 18:17would work. Not anything that's silly, but a lot of things would work.
- 18:19It's just a matter of doing it, you know, even if they're
- 18:22crazy. Like, Yeah, there's all these crazy diets out there. I'm
- 18:26guessing if you actually stick to any one of them, you'll probably like lose
- 18:29weight or accomplish what it is you want. But is it really truly healthy
- 18:33for you in the long run? I would ask, is it going to
- 18:34kill you? And if the answers no, then sure. Oh trending.
- 18:40Now here's what you need to know. Milwaukee Police and our man weariness scheme.
- 18:45Mask was arrested in the Republican National Convention. This happened on Monday.
- 18:48Officials said that the man was first noticed by the US Capitol Police just blocks
- 18:51away from the event. The officers determined the suspect had an AK forty seven
- 18:55pistol and a full magazine and a tactical backpack. Well not having it concealed
- 18:59to Harry Permit. The man's motive has not been determined. Security, of
- 19:03course, has ramped up following the assassination attempt on former President Trump over the
- 19:07weekend, and Despicable Me became the first animated movie franchise to gross over five
- 19:12billion dollars at the box office. Only fifteen franchises franchises have reached five billion
- 19:18dollars at the box office. So now this is like with the ranks of
- 19:22Avatar, Transformers, Jurassic Park, The Avengers, a household movies. I
- 19:26know I still have to go and take my kids to this. Despicable Me.
- 19:30Haven't taken them to any And now is that what the Midians are from?
- 19:33You said, yes, so it's kind of like a spinoff of some
- 19:36of that. Now, I know, I feel like we kind of took
- 19:38a peak at Despicable Me, but it's not something that my kids loved right
- 19:41away. Took a peak, popped your head. It's on Disney Plus or
- 19:47one of the Netflix or and it's been on I haven't locked in, like,
- 19:51for instance, sing Zootopia. Some of those it's like I can tell
- 19:55you start to finish how those are. Oh yeah, sing, that's a
- 19:56good film. It is sing too as well. I would love it.
- 20:00Other one of those those could continue, Okay, they have, They have
- 20:03Amanda's permission to continue, mainly because of like the good soundtracks. It's really
- 20:07fun for me now because when the kids are listening on their way to school
- 20:11or we're jamming a big ninety eight point seven, they hear like Shawn Mendez,
- 20:15like I love this song it's from Sing and even some like the old
- 20:18school throwbacks that are in it. Really yeah, I haven't seen it enough
- 20:21times. I guess it's pretty cool, all right. Tiger Woods just responded
- 20:23to some criticism. Colin Montgomery had made a comment about him maybe Collin or
- 20:30quit And this is an older golfer, Colin Montgomery, so saying Tiger should
- 20:34just retire not play in the British Open. Do you feel less about hopeful
- 20:37and you've found the right to you make the decision when you decided. Oh
- 20:41well, as a past champion, I'm exempt on him sixty. Colin's not.
- 20:45He's not a past champion, so he's not exempt. So he doesn't
- 20:49get the opportunity to make that decision. I do absolutely burned them. You
- 20:52got expected when you're coming after the goat, you know, yes. And
- 20:56it wasn't even just like his statement it was solid. It was the look
- 21:00on his face. Are you kidding me? Like this is ridiculous? Well,
- 21:03it's one of those things where he probably heard the comment from Colin Montgomery
- 21:07and had been thinking about it in the car, in the shower, just
