- 3:52Speaker 5: Does he mean that Callum is a scum bag or
- 3:55Speaker 5: that the apprentice was a scumbag? Yeah, it's a good
- 3:57Speaker 5: point to tell both scum bigs probably say both.
- 4:00Speaker 4: I remember when I was an a printice, you know,
- 4:02Speaker 4: and I didn't feel like I belonged until someone smacked
- 4:05Speaker 4: me in the head.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I was forever getting punched in the face.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, mind you in those days Maggie had a
- 4:11Speaker 4: mouth on you.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you know what I mean? What were you
- 4:16Speaker 1: an apprentice? And man?
- 4:17Speaker 4: So many things?
- 4:19Speaker 5: Weren't you a what do you call it when you
- 4:21Speaker 5: shoe horses? When you've got the shoes there, fairier near
- 4:24Speaker 5: a fairier.
- 4:25Speaker 4: I was an apprentice farrier for a while two, yes,
- 4:27Speaker 4: that's true. And then I got on the head kicked
- 4:31Speaker 4: in the old bulls there the old horse. Yeah, well
- 4:34Speaker 4: it wasn't a horse actually, my boss and punched me
- 4:37Speaker 4: in the face. He kicked me in the balls.
- 4:38Speaker 5: And one of the jockey is she wasn't too heavy,
- 4:40Speaker 5: was he? She kicked you on the balls too.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Another frowd out here to Darrel who played golf
- 4:51Speaker 1: with he ticked in today.
- 4:55Speaker 4: He's a good bastard. Yes, great stuff. Hey, right now though,
- 4:59Speaker 4: it's time for the big show, Big pole, big.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Pole, Just quickly too, Can I give a big frid
- 5:10Speaker 1: out to the three boys outside our office right now?
- 5:12Speaker 1: Just raiding the beer in the pie fridge. Yeah, yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 1: that's going off.
- 5:16Speaker 4: There's a dangerous amount of pies in the pie warmer too.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I noticed, but I managed to resist. I saw Moogi
- 5:22Speaker 4: hit three before the show started. But the big pole
- 5:25Speaker 4: today Black Friday. Yes or no, I'll give you my thoughts.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Can we have an I've had enough of the American bullshit?
- 5:32Speaker 4: Can we just stop all this nonsense Black Friday. I
- 5:35Speaker 4: don't even know what black Friday is. All I know
- 5:38Speaker 4: is that bloody retail stores try and rip you in
- 5:40Speaker 4: the pieces, try and get all your cash, and name
- 5:44Speaker 4: it black Friday. All right, that's how idea.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You don't like Black Friday?
- 5:49Speaker 4: No, I don't like Black Friday.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Seems a little bit. Yeah, it's gonna play the racism alarm.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Yeah, not sure if it is racist, but just in case,
- 5:57Speaker 5: Chase Man, what's your problem, brother?
- 5:59Speaker 4: I don't you know the Halloweens all that sort of
- 6:02Speaker 4: carry on, the Black Fridays. It's just an opportunity for
- 6:05Speaker 4: a company to make money off us.
- 6:07Speaker 1: But the thing with black wife loves them.
- 6:09Speaker 4: By the way, she's going to be shopping a weekend.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Firstly, my wife. Secondly, everything's on special on Black Friday.
- 6:15Speaker 4: You're bullshit it is. They say it's on space.
- 6:18Speaker 5: They say it's on special, don't they? Jason yeah, they do, man,
- 6:22Speaker 5: but it's not. And then I saw I saw a
- 6:24Speaker 5: study on this, and by a study, I mean a
- 6:27Speaker 5: something on instagramme. It was a meme and some eighty
- 6:31Speaker 5: percent of the stuff brought on a Black Friday goes
- 6:34Speaker 5: into your landfills your oceans, your dolphins, mouths, that sort
- 6:37Speaker 5: of thing. It is just crap. Because it's on sale,
- 6:40Speaker 5: you think you need to buy it. But if it
- 6:41Speaker 5: wasn't a Black Friday, wouldn't go out and buy anything,
- 6:43Speaker 5: would You're not getting any deals. You're being suckered.
- 6:46Speaker 1: No.
- 6:47Speaker 5: If you're going out there and you're buying stuff for
- 6:49Speaker 5: everyone out there, listen to this. If you're buying stuff today,
- 6:51Speaker 5: you're sucker.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Sucker.
- 6:54Speaker 7: We'll hang on because I bought quite a lot of
- 6:55Speaker 7: stuff today. Your I'm just going to play this just
- 7:05Speaker 7: because I felt like there was racist.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I'm not sure if it was or not. But the
- 7:08Speaker 1: reason you do your black you do your Black Friday
- 7:10Speaker 1: sales is you buy all your Christmas presents on Black Friday.
- 7:13Speaker 1: So you're write no, Jase, I know you're like giving
- 7:15Speaker 1: your kids and stuff presents because you're not a very
- 7:17Speaker 1: generous man. But what we do is we write a
- 7:19Speaker 1: note like Mum, what does she want for Christmas? Or
- 7:21Speaker 1: what does she need?
- 7:22Speaker 5: This?
- 7:22Speaker 1: This that you per little Insulad water bottle. And then
- 7:27Speaker 1: you're on Black Friday. You go through your list and
- 7:29Speaker 1: you buy them all because they're all on special.
- 7:30Speaker 4: They say they're on they do say they're special. And
- 7:37Speaker 4: this is the other thing that gets deep inside my game.
- 7:41Speaker 4: They go Black Friday that it seems into sept the Sunday,
- 7:46Speaker 4: you know, three day weekend. One Black Friday is enough
- 7:51Speaker 4: for me, Thanks very much. I only need two more
- 7:54Speaker 4: Black Setdy and Sundays.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Well, there's a big also have your say, New Zealand.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You can vote on the Ducky Big Shows Instagram story
- 8:04Speaker 1: and you can text your opinions into three four eight
- 8:06Speaker 1: three go the draw for a twoy price pack.
- 8:08Speaker 5: You can also give us a ring on eight hundred harek.
- 8:10Speaker 5: We'd love to get somebody on the line that's as
- 8:12Speaker 5: fired up a bottle as Jace. Yeah, man, he's talk
- 8:15Speaker 5: back going Here's so hard.
- 8:19Speaker 2: The Hdarchy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy tune
- 8:22Speaker 2: in week days at four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Is indeed deaf Leppard there on the radio.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Hold Donkey Big Show, The big show, Big poll today
- 8:31Speaker 4: was Black Friday Years or no and old movie.
- 8:33Speaker 1: He just went off his head about that.
- 8:36Speaker 4: He was human about the whole fast Yeah, Black Friday.
- 8:40Speaker 5: I really embarrassed myself.

- 8:47Speaker 8: Yeah buddy, mad mate?
- 8:48Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, good on your mates.

- 8:56Speaker 5: About birthdays?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Man, what do you edm just quicking out? What do
- 9:03Speaker 1: you do for a crust man? Benefit?

- 9:16Speaker 1: Yeah? Good, thanks mate.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you hit the nail on the hit there with
- 9:20Speaker 3: Black Friday. What a load of nonsense. I was out
- 9:22Speaker 3: of Little America a k a. Costco today, What load
- 9:26Speaker 3: of nonsense?

- 9:35Speaker 3: the Yes, just.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Gary, just quickly, man, what do you do for a
- 9:42Speaker 1: crust brother?
- 9:44Speaker 3: I'm a contractor.

- 9:49Speaker 4: Well, good on you, Gary. Thanks for backing me up there.
- 9:51Speaker 4: I'm gonna check you over in a pug sound and

- 9:57Speaker 1: three four eight three. Black Friday is a shim. Tailors
- 10:00Speaker 1: put the prices up and drop them back down and
- 10:02Speaker 1: then pretend that they're on special and then along comes Keysy. Yeah,
- 10:09Speaker 1: buying Christmas presents for my family. I'm messively pro anything
- 10:18Speaker 1: that is encouraging messive sales. You know what I mean?
- 10:21Speaker 1: Because you could wait for Boxing Day sales? Are they
- 10:23Speaker 1: a scam? Jason?
- 10:24Speaker 4: Yes, really yes they have.
- 10:26Speaker 1: There's things genuinely like heavily discounted.
- 10:29Speaker 4: You're not one of those people, are you? And please
- 10:31Speaker 4: tell her you're not. Please tell me you. I don't
- 10:33Speaker 4: know what it is yet that you do the Boxing
- 10:36Speaker 4: Day sales for the next Christmas. Those though.
- 10:40Speaker 1: One time, my mother in law asked me to go
- 10:43Speaker 1: to Record and More and christ Church on Boxing Day
- 10:46Speaker 1: to buy one of those fake Christmas trees because like
- 10:49Speaker 1: a quarter of the price. Yeah it was. I was
- 10:53Speaker 1: the guy with a giant Christmas tree and is trolley
- 10:55Speaker 1: on Boxing Day, clearly trying to cap it was so embarrassing.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, sham fellas suckers.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Are you getting your car?
- 11:05Speaker 4: Am I getting my word?
- 11:06Speaker 1: I don't worry about it.
- 11:07Speaker 2: The Hdiarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio Hdarkey.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Is indeed Nirvana there on the radio Holdnkey Big Show
- 11:15Speaker 4: this Friday afternoon. The time is four thirty six England,
- 11:18Speaker 4: two eleven for four, and it's pissing me off. But
- 11:20Speaker 4: I do believe he's even got another froud out on
- 11:23Speaker 4: three for three.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Of fraud Out's coming in for a Friday afternoon, which
- 11:26Speaker 1: is a shout out, by the way, But one time,
- 11:28Speaker 1: jas accident, you said fraud out Shi Day instead of
- 11:30Speaker 1: shout out Friday. A bunch of backbones in the ute,
- 11:35Speaker 1: loaded with beers and packed to the brim with good vibes,
- 11:38Speaker 1: frid Out to Shiday A feelers, thanks mate, I love that.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You like that? Yeah? You love that? Eh.
- 11:45Speaker 5: The fellows there and the ute, we don't know that
- 11:47Speaker 5: could have been from a ute load of women.
- 11:49Speaker 4: The fellows and ladies there in the yute, beautiful day
- 11:53Speaker 4: have bloateded up with beers. He's probably gonna go back
- 11:55Speaker 4: to their place and I have a few quiets and
- 11:57Speaker 4: a saucy and a bit of white bread.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Yeah white was wrong with brown bread.
- 12:02Speaker 4: I'm not a big fan of brown bread.
- 12:04Speaker 1: So I'm just gonna I'm just quickly played the racism
- 12:08Speaker 1: alarm there, good o Fellers, Isaac Kid, can I get
- 12:11Speaker 1: a frowd out to my beautiful soon to be waff
- 12:13Speaker 1: Caitlin love the show, great name, Caitlyn. You like that? Yeah?
- 12:16Speaker 1: I do? You love that?
- 12:18Speaker 4: Hey?
- 12:18Speaker 1: New Listen played golf with Keyzy today. Mate, congratulations man.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Thanks man. And it was really disappointing because I found
- 12:27Speaker 4: something out which I found quite hurtful, really hurtful in
- 12:30Speaker 4: the fact because we had to join up with two
- 12:34Speaker 4: other fellows because it was very busy as on a
- 12:37Speaker 4: day like this, I said, we want fools. He's not
- 12:39Speaker 4: not a peer, and he was shouting to the Fellers
- 12:42Speaker 4: and he was talking about the fact that the only
- 12:45Speaker 4: reason that he actually plays with me, Hoidy j is
- 12:49Speaker 4: because it is because he can claim it as a
- 12:51Speaker 4: business expense. So he's working theoretically and inverted commas because
- 12:57Speaker 4: he's with me on the show and inverted commas. That
- 13:00Speaker 4: way he can claim back when he does his tax
- 13:03Speaker 4: return on his on his gold fees.
- 13:06Speaker 5: One part of Golfer's work is it like you're chatting
- 13:09Speaker 5: about the show for example, like Whole four Entertainment, Whole
- 13:13Speaker 5: four Ticks came through from old Mogi.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Hey, should we do black theme for the Throbber because
- 13:17Speaker 1: it's Black Friday?
- 13:18Speaker 5: Yes?
- 13:18Speaker 1: And then I told Jace that, and then I started
- 13:20Speaker 1: thinking about a Throbber hints. I am at work and
- 13:25Speaker 1: we were chatting about the show a.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Jace, And he didn't actually say that to me. I
- 13:29Speaker 4: heard him telling it to the fellas, and one of
- 13:31Speaker 4: the guys that young Tom said to him, so, you
- 13:34Speaker 4: wouldn't play with Jase if he didn't if you didn't
- 13:36Speaker 4: work with him, and he went ship now yeah, and
- 13:39Speaker 4: I just went, oh, well, it's just you know, I mean,
- 13:43Speaker 4: we're we're kind of mates.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Have you know we are mate? Have you we're friends?
- 13:46Speaker 1: Have you heard the same friends with benefits? Oh?
- 13:50Speaker 4: Have you heard that before, Jason, Well, we've already banged
- 13:52Speaker 4: each other.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Heard the phrase friends with benefits? Yes?
- 13:55Speaker 5: I have?
- 13:55Speaker 1: Yes, So we're friends with tax benefits. So the benefits
- 13:59Speaker 1: are I hang out with you outside of work, and
- 14:01Speaker 1: I get a tax break just like me, and you
- 14:04Speaker 1: get a friend.
- 14:05Speaker 4: It just feels to me like you're using me for
- 14:09Speaker 4: financial cold use them back.
- 14:11Speaker 1: You could you could have the same game, Jayson.
- 14:13Speaker 4: I'm actually a backbone and I don't claim crap like
- 14:16Speaker 4: that because most of the time he's bitching and moaning,
- 14:19Speaker 4: he's not working at all. So I mean, it's just
- 14:21Speaker 4: a fraud.
- 14:21Speaker 1: You should call I should knock him out to the I.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Think I should do a you do that.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I want to call Sky and get your Sky movies
- 14:29Speaker 1: canceled that you've been ginning for free.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Jeez, I in the front, both of you.
- 14:34Speaker 1: You not just change the subject, please.
- 14:36Speaker 4: But anyway, Yeah, I was disappointed. I was disappointed. You
- 14:39Speaker 4: can imagine because I thought we were doing it because
- 14:41Speaker 4: we're buddies.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Well, no you're not.
- 14:43Speaker 5: That makes sense. I'm seen behind Keysy there. He's got
- 14:46Speaker 5: to get something out of it. He's out there, the
- 14:48Speaker 5: two of you, hecking around the joint. What'd you score today?
- 14:50Speaker 5: Both over one hundred? Both over one.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Hundred ninety seven?
- 14:59Speaker 5: You make you've only had three or four games. You've
- 15:02Speaker 5: already tailed up old Kezy there.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Well he was he's a superior player. But I was solid.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you're a great man. I was solid. Yeah. Probably
- 15:11Speaker 1: too good for me. Actually, if it wasn't for the text, men,
- 15:13Speaker 1: if it's probably wouldn't play with you anymore. This is
- 15:18Speaker 1: a chure.
- 15:18Speaker 5: This is great.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Do you want to play tomorrow? Jays, I'm not really
- 15:20Speaker 1: into it actually, to be honest, sounds great.

- 20:25Speaker 4: So good.
- 20:26Speaker 5: It's a bloody great competition that's been gone. This is

- 20:38Speaker 5: Man.
- 20:39Speaker 1: The Throbber is my favorite part of the week. Yeah,
- 20:41Speaker 1: you know, at the radio station, away from the radio station,
- 20:43Speaker 1: and the fact that today's theme is black for Black Friday. Yeah,
- 20:48Speaker 1: I think it's just great because there's a lot of songs.
- 20:50Speaker 5: So many options, weren't there today I've gone with this one. Guyshi,
- 20:53Speaker 5: do you want to hear it? To begin?
- 21:00Speaker 2: Would black begin?
- 21:05Speaker 1: Would be gay Metallica?
- 21:09Speaker 5: That is a tune, man?
- 21:13Speaker 1: What album is that? Obviosit and Justice for All?
- 21:15Speaker 5: Justice for All?
- 21:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it doesn't kind of fit my favorites.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't fit your vibe, Jason.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Not my Friday vine with no drum kit at all.
- 21:26Speaker 4: I would I prefer like.
- 21:29Speaker 1: And well, let's see what Jase does prefer because this
- 21:32Speaker 1: is what I'm thinking, you know, driving home. Yeah, this
- 21:36Speaker 1: is a Black Magic Woman.
- 21:40Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, boy where.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Beautiful tune. One of the good thing is we've kind
- 21:54Speaker 1: of chosen three really great songs, which is awesome.
- 21:58Speaker 5: Yeah, nice black Sabbath man as good little mix today guys.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Sure as men, there's a tune. Hang on, men, just
- 22:07Speaker 1: hang on.
- 22:11Speaker 4: Ah.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I was the Osborne swinging. This isn't Yeah, he's a
- 22:15Speaker 1: rock star.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Awesome man, good chunes, good shoots, New Zealand, you decide.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Give us a call right now on eight hundred ho
- 22:23Speaker 4: lucky and the meantime he's had guns.
- 22:29Speaker 2: The Holarky Big shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.
- 22:37Speaker 4: It's the big shows. Friday Throbbery is indeed the Friday thrubber.
- 22:45Speaker 4: The theme this week black.
- 22:48Speaker 5: Because it's Black Friday today, the shopping, the Vietnam eferens
- 22:51Speaker 5: and New Zealand. Y.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Why don't you even clarify that?
- 22:54Speaker 4: Well, I'm just saying what the theme is, man, No clarify.
- 22:58Speaker 1: It's just it's black. It is so you're right. You're
- 23:00Speaker 1: right about that. And this is the song that I
- 23:02Speaker 1: went with, isn't it Key? It certainly is. Jake wasn't
- 23:07Speaker 1: man record to begin? Tell you what is so great?
- 23:16Speaker 8: Live?
- 23:17Speaker 5: When we were more a summary vite? Oh yeah, we
- 23:30Speaker 5: had a text gun through on three four eight three.
- 23:33Speaker 5: I thought Jase would have picked swing because he will
- 23:35Speaker 5: be swinging his hips through all the stores on Black Friday.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Very good, very good at Kesy went for che as well.
- 23:51Speaker 1: This is blast and Paranoid.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Yeah, good ship man, good stuff. Get a Nathan your
- 24:06Speaker 4: man Bassett? How's life?
- 24:08Speaker 3: Get a sick Maggets, what's going on?
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 24:14Speaker 4: What are you running with? The Nathan bro?
- 24:17Speaker 8: It's got to be.
- 24:22Speaker 4: It's just too loud for this Friday for me? Get
- 24:25Speaker 4: a Nick your man Bassett? How's life are feeling?
- 24:29Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 24:30Speaker 4: What are you running with?
- 24:31Speaker 1: The Nick?
- 24:32Speaker 8: Before I give my vote, I just want to understand
- 24:35Speaker 8: why you, maggot sitting and put black by pill jam
- 24:38Speaker 8: in the I did consider it.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Certainly, I did.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I think it was to it's such a great song
- 24:43Speaker 1: that it's too obvious. That's right. It's one of those
- 24:45Speaker 1: things where you think somebody else is going to choose it.
- 24:47Speaker 5: So you don't choose it.
- 24:48Speaker 1: And also we do play it quite a lot.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, so.
- 24:52Speaker 8: Yeah right, well, option number two is also blackened.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Easy when for All mog is making a late run.
- 25:05Speaker 5: God, I tell you what, though, nobody loses here, Jase,
- 25:08Speaker 5: because this is a goddamn June brother, crank it up, brother,
- 25:11Speaker 5: I'm going to go to keep your headphones on. Man,
- 25:13Speaker 5: Well you can go for number two because this one
- 25:14Speaker 5: is seven minutes long.
- 25:17Speaker 1: That is so great as Mellica keep talking this but
- 25:20Speaker 1: takes a bit to build up. Ye, man, I really
- 25:22Speaker 1: like that.
- 25:23Speaker 5: I really liked that text that we got through yes
- 25:25Speaker 5: about swing because it really did show what a shocking
- 25:29Speaker 5: choice that was when you selected swing.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Good tune though, all right.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Starting the Hohodarkey Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue.
- 25:39Speaker 1: And Kisy Black in their Metillica.
- 25:47Speaker 5: Is Your Friday, keeps on going. That's not joke, an absolutely.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Hate that kind of music.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Is so good, so much fun. Yeah, and there's like
- 26:03Speaker 1: three different songs in that one. I forgot they used
- 26:05Speaker 1: to do that. Oh my god. That Justice for All
- 26:07Speaker 1: album is amazing.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Treat yourself sure, playing it on my Spotify and the
- 26:12Speaker 4: way home.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Yeah, man, Pugstan took a week video two of us
- 26:16Speaker 1: rocking out on me and Mogi. Anyway, Jason was loving
- 26:18Speaker 1: it and Jace hating it, chucking Instagram and taking a
- 26:22Speaker 1: look at the schoolboard. And I've got to say it's
- 26:24Speaker 1: been our closest year yet of the Throbber scoring so
- 26:28Speaker 1: out in front. Twelve wins me old Kezy well with
- 26:32Speaker 1: one asterisk for being racist because I chose kuntry fun. Yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Then you've got Mike on eleven now and coming.
- 26:41Speaker 5: Last Living just to point there, Yeah, I'm on twelve now. No,
- 26:45Speaker 5: I just updated at now you're now on to Live
- 26:48Speaker 5: in No, No, I'm now on twelve. Hang on, hang
- 26:52Speaker 5: it's okay, it's fine, it's easy. We can just check
- 26:54Speaker 5: last week's last week's potty and it's all good, mate.
- 26:57Speaker 5: But absolutely I was on Living last week. This draws
- 27:01Speaker 5: that's equal.
- 27:02Speaker 4: And you know how Magie is about this competition.
- 27:04Speaker 1: He's gone away.
- 27:05Speaker 5: I just I just I think you're right.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Okay, well, yeah, to go to the tapes, I'm on
- 27:11Speaker 4: eleven with fifteen asterisks.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Hang on, Jason, me saying, okay, so Moogie and I
- 27:16Speaker 1: are on twelve and Jase is on eleven with six
- 27:20Speaker 1: six asterisks. Can we can we name those? What they
- 27:25Speaker 1: were for? All of them were for cheating and cheating
- 27:29Speaker 1: and being racist racist and also not following the theme.
- 27:34Speaker 1: There was the one where you just decided you weren't
- 27:35Speaker 1: going to even try.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Yeah, but I didn't win those, no, I know, so
- 27:39Speaker 4: I didn't get an asterisk.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Jason, Look, man, I don't make the rules. Man, Okay,
- 27:45Speaker 1: someone else makes the rules.
- 27:46Speaker 5: I just them.
- 27:47Speaker 4: This is a cheating then too, though, so we can
- 27:50Speaker 4: redeem ourselves.
- 27:51Speaker 1: No blacking by Metallica is an Ald Timer his head
- 27:54Speaker 1: like a whole.
- 27:56Speaker 2: The hole, Acky Big Shoes with Jason Hoyt, Mikeman and Keezy.
- 28:01Speaker 4: This is indeed fat boys Slim There on the radio
- 28:03Speaker 4: Hot Arkey Big Show this Friday afternoon. Update on the
- 28:06Speaker 4: Cricket to fifty two for five. They still trail by
- 28:11Speaker 4: ninety six runs.
- 28:12Speaker 1: It's England's betting.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Yes, that's England batting two fifty two for five.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Nice. Earlier this week Fellas we've been doing very successful segment.
- 28:21Speaker 1: It's the Big Show's gift giving guide. Basically this time
- 28:24Speaker 1: of year, starting to think, oh what should I get
- 28:25Speaker 1: so and so for for Christmas or what shall I
- 28:27Speaker 1: tell them to Santa to get them for Christmas? You know,
- 28:30Speaker 1: we've done your other half, we've done your parents, and
- 28:33Speaker 1: this week it's your grandparents.
- 28:36Speaker 5: You mean today today, because the others were the smoke
- 28:40Speaker 5: as well.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Yes, sorry, that's a shame. Today it's your grand parents.
- 28:45Speaker 5: Nice, good recovery, Keith, it's really good man.
- 28:48Speaker 1: You're got to be able to just adept.
- 28:49Speaker 5: Yes, you know, actually just drop and roll.
- 28:52Speaker 1: You should run that down there, Lucy Goosey, yeah.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Man, Lucy Goosey, Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 28:57Speaker 1: So of course the grandparents sarre. They can be a
- 29:00Speaker 1: tricky one to buy for. However, if you know what
- 29:03Speaker 1: you're doing, you can actually get them.
- 29:05Speaker 5: Some great presents, for example, because they've sort of seen
- 29:07Speaker 5: at all, haven't they by the time they get to
- 29:09Speaker 5: a certain age?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Correct?
- 29:10Speaker 2: Mate?
- 29:10Speaker 5: What do you get for somebody that's been alive for
- 29:13Speaker 5: so long?
- 29:14Speaker 1: For sure? Well that's a great question and the answer
- 29:16Speaker 1: is for death, Yes, a nice death. Get them a
- 29:24Speaker 1: nice insulated drink bottle. Keep their water cold, because I
- 29:31Speaker 1: don't mind n and she loves skinning the water out
- 29:32Speaker 1: the fridge. Having that nice and cold, nice insulated, high
- 29:36Speaker 1: quality drink bottle, it'll maintain that temperature. Another idea of
- 29:40Speaker 1: feelers is you could go and get all the grand
- 29:43Speaker 1: kits together and go have a really nice portrait taking
- 29:45Speaker 1: of everyone and then surprise them in a nice frame
- 29:48Speaker 1: ice to the front. Much of a.
- 29:50Speaker 5: Surprise, though, yeah, because they might have a heart attack of.
- 29:52Speaker 1: No, no, no, well obviously, just the regular surprise of
- 29:54Speaker 1: wrapping up a gift and giving it to sor yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 29:57Speaker 1: and then that'll be lovely. So there's a cuple of
- 30:00Speaker 1: ideas that you could do there. Yeah, what else you got, Well,
- 30:03Speaker 1: I thought you guys could join in mogi.
- 30:06Speaker 4: I mean, what would you look at mogi?
- 30:08Speaker 1: There?
- 30:08Speaker 5: For your grandparents? Well, I've never All of my grandparents
- 30:11Speaker 5: are long since dead and gone. So it's tricky for
- 30:15Speaker 5: me because all it does is brings up bad memories,
- 30:17Speaker 5: I guess, and bad feelings of I guess. Melancholony collie
- 30:22Speaker 5: an infinite sadness key colony. Yeah, it's like a colony
- 30:25Speaker 5: of so much melons.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:28Speaker 5: No, But if I were to get something, probably a
- 30:33Speaker 5: nice fountain pen. Nice fountain pen. You can never have
- 30:36Speaker 5: too many nice pen very good magi, because then you
- 30:39Speaker 5: can hold onto their hand and get them to sign
- 30:41Speaker 5: their signature on the wheel that you've.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Just and so you like the sound of that, Jason, Oh, yep, certainly.
- 30:49Speaker 4: I'm in the same sort of break up there as
- 30:51Speaker 4: Maggie is. My grandparents are long since passed on. But
- 30:54Speaker 4: I'll be honest with you, even when they weren't in
- 30:58Speaker 4: that situation dead, it did. I sort of felt like
- 31:01Speaker 4: it was only a matter of time, so I didn't
- 31:03Speaker 4: want to waste too much money.
- 31:04Speaker 1: No, that's true.
- 31:05Speaker 4: So it would be like Barley Sugars, Yes, where there's original.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Yes, Oh my god.
- 31:14Speaker 4: You know my wife bought some Macintosh lollies, remember the
- 31:17Speaker 4: old Macintosh.
- 31:19Speaker 1: The orange ones are so good.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Egan cream, Yeah, they didn't have any there was no
- 31:23Speaker 4: Egan cream and the Macintosh packet that's the only ones
- 31:26Speaker 4: we're feeling. So yeah, or like, you know, a packet
- 31:30Speaker 4: of andies. Oh nice, because they go through those pretty quick.
- 31:34Speaker 4: Do they lose control of that sort of thing?
- 31:36Speaker 1: What about like a a nice doily? Yeah?
- 31:41Speaker 5: Nice for your bed. They love a balance, you know
- 31:45Speaker 5: what I mean? Yeah, some brandy that for fifty years untouched.
- 31:50Speaker 1: What about like a plan dinner sit with like a
- 31:52Speaker 1: hand painted thing of some like Native American Indians on
- 31:55Speaker 1: it or something like that. Horses and things. What a
- 31:59Speaker 1: bottle of sherry? Sherry is another one? Yes? What about brandy?
- 32:06Speaker 1: I feel like I just said brandy. Yeah, what about
- 32:09Speaker 1: like a dessert wine?
- 32:10Speaker 4: What about a cream?
- 32:11Speaker 1: What about a cream? DeMont? What that cream? Dumont?
- 32:15Speaker 8: Look you up?
- 32:16Speaker 5: Yes, say it twice and that way you'll know what
- 32:18Speaker 5: you're talking about.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Dumont. Yeah right, that's bullshit about the Macintosh lollies, by
- 32:23Speaker 1: the way, or your standy Bailey's. Actually, all they really
- 32:30Speaker 1: want is just for you to be there to smell
- 32:33Speaker 1: the heenous fat Sam from Phoenix Foundations and next week.
- 32:39Speaker 2: The Holaky Big Shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keysy.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Yes indeed Red Hot Chili Peppers there on the radio
- 32:49Speaker 4: Racky Big Show this Friday afternoon, now special treat. Actually,
- 32:54Speaker 4: I'm gonna be talking to a very good bastard. I'm
- 32:56Speaker 4: a big fan of Well, I think it's fair to
- 32:59Speaker 4: say the whole Big Show is a big fan of
- 33:01Speaker 4: their music.
- 33:01Speaker 1: If you cannot speak on behalf of me.
- 33:03Speaker 4: But I'm just guessing here. Yeah, so you're a fan? Yeah, Yeah,
- 33:08Speaker 4: Well that's what I mean. I wouldn't presume that. And
- 33:11Speaker 4: with that in mind, we've got that backbone on the line,
- 33:14Speaker 4: the one and only Sam Scott get a Samya mad
- 33:17Speaker 4: Bassett house life.
- 33:18Speaker 8: Sure life's pretty good? Yeah?
- 33:20Speaker 4: Yeah, mate?
- 33:21Speaker 1: How good?
- 33:22Speaker 8: How good? Seven point five out of team?
- 33:26Speaker 4: That's pretty good.
- 33:26Speaker 1: That's pretty good. What do you do for a living? Man?
- 33:30Speaker 8: Make music?
- 33:32Speaker 4: What a massive backbone? On you? Man?
- 33:34Speaker 1: Good on you? And how's well?
- 33:35Speaker 5: Into?
- 33:36Speaker 1: Today?
- 33:36Speaker 5: Is a bloody beautiful.
- 33:38Speaker 8: It's bloody beautiful. I it's a little bit overcast. So
- 33:41Speaker 8: I kind of wish that we were playing cricket here
- 33:43Speaker 8: because it perfect spring bowling conditions.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Absolutely to help us with our catching. Probably not. No,
- 33:49Speaker 5: what's happening?
- 33:50Speaker 4: Man?
- 33:50Speaker 5: You've got a you got a new single, and I'm
- 33:52Speaker 5: assuming there's a new album to go with a new single.
- 33:55Speaker 8: Well, there's another single coming out in a couple of weeks.
- 33:57Speaker 8: I mean, that's it. That's always finished. We just thought,
- 34:01Speaker 8: oh fuck, we haven't done anything in years. Maybe people
- 34:04Speaker 8: have forgotten who we are. Yes, we better put some
- 34:06Speaker 8: music out and remind people that we exist.
- 34:11Speaker 1: It's funny you say that because Mike Mino was like, oh,
- 34:13Speaker 1: I completely forgot who that guy even was. Exactly who
- 34:16Speaker 1: is this guy?
- 34:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I was actually going back and you know how
- 34:20Speaker 5: they do the Spotify rapped Sam, You'll be a big
- 34:22Speaker 5: fan of Spotify because I give you so much cash.
- 34:26Speaker 5: In twenty twenty, you released the album friend Ship, and
- 34:31Speaker 5: I've got seven of the songs off that album are
- 34:34Speaker 5: in my top ten from that year, my most my
- 34:36Speaker 5: most played songs.
- 34:38Speaker 8: Oh well, that's delightful, isn't that nice?
- 34:42Speaker 1: Sam?
- 34:43Speaker 4: Just on that front, because I'm looking at that when
- 34:45Speaker 4: that album was released and eight of my top ten
- 34:48Speaker 4: are your songs, fella, So, I mean, how good.
- 34:53Speaker 8: So actually I don't feel that good about what Mike said.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Now, yeah, so tell me, Sam, I'm in all seriousness.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Has there been did you guys have a little break?
- 35:03Speaker 4: Has it been a hiatus? Did you just hate making
- 35:05Speaker 4: music for a while? What's what's been the sort of pause.
- 35:09Speaker 8: Well, we've been doing lots of things really, so, I
- 35:12Speaker 8: mean leading up to that album, We've just done a
- 35:14Speaker 8: tour with Beans, so that was a big, big project,
- 35:17Speaker 8: and then that album we managed to get out during
- 35:20Speaker 8: COVID times and whatnot. Since then, three of us have
- 35:25Speaker 8: been working on the soundtrack to the last SpongeBob film,
- 35:29Speaker 8: months ago.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Oh my god, how good that.
- 35:31Speaker 4: That's so good? So you're like massively wretch now right,
- 35:35Speaker 4: just so rich?
- 35:37Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, which I am. I'm thinking about upgrading from
- 35:40Speaker 8: my twenty twelve Prius to maybe a twenty sixteen Prios
- 35:45Speaker 8: too good bye kind of my moves right now. But
- 35:50Speaker 8: we did that and the last year we had like
- 35:51Speaker 8: the twentieth anniversary of our first album, so that was
- 35:54Speaker 8: kind of our that was our preoccupying thing, you know.
- 35:57Speaker 8: And then we've got our second album has got its
- 35:59Speaker 8: twentieth through next year, and we're like, shit, we've got
- 36:02Speaker 8: to make some new music so that our manager doesn't
- 36:04Speaker 8: make us do another anniversary album. And we're doing one
- 36:10Speaker 8: of those every two years for the next decade, and then.
- 36:14Speaker 1: The thirty year anniversaries start coming around and the forty
- 36:17Speaker 1: year anniversaries, so you can really ride that train the
- 36:18Speaker 1: whole way. I see you guys are doing a couple
- 36:20Speaker 1: of live gigs as well. Auckland Double Wheremy on Friday
- 36:23Speaker 1: the thirteenth, and then down in Wellington at Miao Saturday
- 36:25Speaker 1: the fourteenth.
- 36:26Speaker 8: Yep, that's right. We've got Louise and Necklin with us
- 36:29Speaker 8: and Auckland. She's just put out an album recorded with
- 36:32Speaker 8: Shane Carter from Oh Chacket Straight Jacket fits.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Oh how good?
- 36:37Speaker 8: It sounds great. So it's such a good record. And yeah,
- 36:42Speaker 8: so that's super exciting. We've got Dream Chambers in Wellington
- 36:47Speaker 8: and she's an incredible since kind of Lord she does
- 36:49Speaker 8: these solo since kind of I don't know. They're just
- 36:54Speaker 8: totally trippy. It's really amazing. So yeah, they're going to
- 36:57Speaker 8: be fun shows.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Yeah, bloody good. If you'd like tickets to the Aukland One,
- 37:00Speaker 1: head to Under the Radar and mosh text for the
- 37:03Speaker 1: onlling to one. But if you just google Phoenix Foundation
- 37:05Speaker 1: or go to the Instagram there, hit the link tree
- 37:07Speaker 1: up with when's this?
- 37:08Speaker 4: When's the Auckland One?
- 37:09Speaker 1: There the Auckland One. I said it earlier, Jason Friday,
- 37:11Speaker 1: the thirteenth of December. I'm going to go to that
- 37:13Speaker 1: and the Wellington one. Yeah, Saturday the fourteenth. Just on
- 37:16Speaker 1: the Aukland One. Jason, I assume you'll be paying for
- 37:18Speaker 1: tickets to support.
- 37:21Speaker 4: We'll talk off air anyway, so you don't need to.
- 37:25Speaker 1: That's good.
- 37:25Speaker 4: And if people said this new tune.
- 37:27Speaker 1: How do people get hold of that?
- 37:29Speaker 8: Well, it's just it's a purely online thing because we
- 37:32Speaker 8: just decided to kind of get it out. We we
- 37:34Speaker 8: it's got a mild political thing in it, you know.
- 37:36Speaker 8: It talks about genus and stuff like that.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, good stuff things going on in the world
- 37:41Speaker 1: right now.
- 37:42Speaker 8: Yeah, man, So we thought we'd just put it out
- 37:44Speaker 8: because everything sucks, something that we think is nice and
- 37:53Speaker 8: maybe it will make people feel one percent better about
- 37:56Speaker 8: the world.
- 37:57Speaker 1: How yeah, for the first time.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Wait, hey, Sam Hurry, thanks for the chat mate.
- 38:03Speaker 8: Thank you guys, Thanks Matt for Hurdarchy.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue.
- 38:09Speaker 4: And Kissy is indeed motor Head there on the radio.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Ho Donkey Big show this Friday afternoon. Now, not so
- 38:17Speaker 4: much sporting action over the weekend. Of course, the Test
- 38:19Speaker 4: match is going to be on Fellows and this particular
- 38:22Speaker 4: Test is tuning out to be quite an even kind
- 38:24Speaker 4: of evenly balanced show. It looked like earlier on in
- 38:28Speaker 4: the day we were actually going to dominate England, but
- 38:30Speaker 4: they fought back beautifully with Pope and Harry Brook.
- 38:34Speaker 5: Yeah we had them four for seventy or didn't they
- 38:36Speaker 5: don't we? And then a couple of drop catches and
- 38:38Speaker 5: before you know it, they've put on a stand of
- 38:40Speaker 5: one hundred and forty. Yes, before a brilliant Glenn Phillips
- 38:43Speaker 5: catch broke the partnership and just sort of been battling
- 38:46Speaker 5: on even Stevens pretty much.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Yeah, i'd say even Stevens make Yeah.
- 38:50Speaker 1: So is the sports chat? No, it's more cricket, sorry too,
- 38:54Speaker 1: about to fight it off? Can it be sports chat?
- 38:58Speaker 6: Isn't a?
- 38:58Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 38:58Speaker 1: Absolutely?
- 39:00Speaker 4: I mean I'll tell you what sports Speaking of sports chat,
- 39:03Speaker 4: o Kezy in the football?
- 39:04Speaker 1: What are we looking at there with the Phoenix and
- 39:06Speaker 1: the Auckland the Auckland Sons Auckland FC. I thought you
- 39:13Speaker 1: were the spy. Why do you insist on randomly chucking
- 39:17Speaker 1: me the football heads up?
- 39:19Speaker 6: What?
- 39:19Speaker 4: I just remember when we talked about it the first time,
- 39:21Speaker 4: you were all over its filthy rash.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Once again, I'll cover for your brother.
- 39:26Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 39:26Speaker 1: It's almost like we should just go to him every time.
- 39:28Speaker 5: Auckland's got a home game against the Newcastle Jets tomorrow, guys.
- 39:32Speaker 4: And are they top of the table at the moment?
- 39:33Speaker 5: No, the Newcastle Jets aren't top of the table. Yes,
- 39:39Speaker 5: that's correct. I'm not sure where at Newcastle is sitting next.
- 39:43Speaker 5: I can't see it on the table here and it's
- 39:45Speaker 5: sort of baggering me around a little bit. But that's
- 39:46Speaker 5: an exciting game. Man back at home.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Great. Oh.
- 39:49Speaker 5: In fact, our Newcastle is sitting an eleventh spots.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Looking very good.
- 39:55Speaker 5: Well. The Wellington Phoenix are currently second and sitting in second,
- 39:58Speaker 5: so pretty good. The old New Zealand one too.
- 40:01Speaker 4: Can you tell me what is the home ground for
- 40:03Speaker 4: Auckland f C.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Is it even part?
- 40:05Speaker 5: It's no, it's out to Go Smart Stadium there, also
- 40:08Speaker 5: known as Mount Eden, I believe. Yeah, it's exciting, isn't it,
- 40:12Speaker 5: Jos You like that Mount Eden, Mount Smart, Mount Smart?
- 40:15Speaker 4: Okay, that's the home.
- 40:17Speaker 1: That's the home to.
- 40:20Speaker 4: I don't like going up in that area.
- 40:22Speaker 1: No, no, it's not my kind of hood really. Just
- 40:26Speaker 1: on the cricket fellers, I've got a hunch that New
- 40:29Speaker 1: Zealand's best bowler in England's first inning is going to
- 40:31Speaker 1: be Matt Henry Be.
- 40:33Speaker 4: A good hunch, actually keeezy, because his record on Hagley
- 40:37Speaker 4: Oval is magnificent.
- 40:38Speaker 1: That's right, paying three dollars seventy which is pretty damn good.
- 40:41Speaker 1: So if you can down on the new TB get
- 40:44Speaker 1: your bet on rat bit responsible and if you want
- 40:45Speaker 1: one hundred dollars bonus cash bit taxs ta B to
- 40:48Speaker 1: three four eight three right now, that's right.
- 40:50Speaker 5: Can I just say that the Phoenix have got to
- 40:52Speaker 5: buy this week from the looks of things, and then
- 40:54Speaker 5: the next anctual be against Auckland f C.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Okay, feels like the only just played each other.
- 40:58Speaker 1: God, I know.
- 41:03Speaker 2: The whole che Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Tune in weekdays at four on Radio hod Ike.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Welcome back your Messa backbones. Hope your Friday is going
- 41:11Speaker 4: along very nicely. Indeed, how good a Friday afternoon weekend, relaxing,
- 41:18Speaker 4: chilling out mind you? Having said that, I'm doing a
- 41:21Speaker 4: bit of commentary on the Sunday which, yeah, with the acc.
- 41:25Speaker 1: The Sun's coming out now, isn't it.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 41:27Speaker 1: It is so feeling a bit warmers getting very warm.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Today was very warm, specially especially here in Doland, Sydney
- 41:34Speaker 1: where we're based. So I can really tell that people.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I think Fridays people can start knocking off earlier and earlier.
- 41:42Speaker 4: Me. Now, listen to the podcast outro today we covered
- 41:45Speaker 4: all sorts of things as we always do. What's the
- 41:48Speaker 4: clip today?
- 41:49Speaker 8: There?
- 41:49Speaker 1: Kiz this is a clip about our live show yesterday
- 41:52Speaker 1: and a certain thing that happened which we're not allowed
- 41:53Speaker 1: to discuss on the radio.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Yeah, apparently.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I'm allowed to talk about the thing that happened on
- 41:59Speaker 1: the radio. Oh yeah, so we have to talk about
- 42:02Speaker 1: on here. Yeah there was a there was a yeah yeah,
- 42:06Speaker 1: hangerbar last night was so great. So yeah, so good
- 42:11Speaker 1: luck figuring out what that was a good clip. Yeah,
- 42:15Speaker 1: if you want to know what happened, if you want
- 42:17Speaker 1: to just furious at Mike's dissing of his clip that was.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Could you play that again?
- 42:22Speaker 4: Man?
- 42:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's quite long, is it? Would like to talk
- 42:26Speaker 1: about the thing that happened on the radio. Oh yeah,
- 42:29Speaker 1: so we have to talk about on here. Yeah there
- 42:31Speaker 1: was a there was a yeah yeah, hangerbar last night
- 42:35Speaker 1: was so great. So it was a good clip. That
- 42:39Speaker 1: was actually a bit of the second time around. Yeah
- 42:42Speaker 1: stuff you missed? Yeah yeah, so good word pug Son,
- 42:46Speaker 1: Yeah good.
- 42:47Speaker 4: Speaking of pug Son, he's coming in next to have
- 42:50Speaker 4: a little chat to us, because, and let me just
- 42:53Speaker 4: say this very clearly, it's very rare that pug Son
- 42:55Speaker 4: ever stuffs up. No, he is magnificent of his.
- 42:59Speaker 5: Job, but he's head.
- 43:04Speaker 1: It's kind of ruined the Friday Show. It has, it's
- 43:06Speaker 1: derailed it. I don't know if we'll ever recover, but
- 43:09Speaker 1: we'll get a man.
- 43:09Speaker 5: To see what he has to say from good stuff mate, Ah,
- 43:15Speaker 5: a little bit of stone table, pilots Man.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Okay, besseline man eat it, Tina, the.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Whole Acty Big Shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keys.
- 43:29Speaker 4: Jem back by Peel Jam should have gone with that
- 43:33Speaker 4: for the Throbber.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Wouldn't have made any difference, man, Yeah, probably thought about Santana, yeah, man,
- 43:38Speaker 1: because he does that one song with Rob Thomas. Who
- 43:41Speaker 1: does Santana? Yeah, Stana?
- 43:45Speaker 4: It does one song with who.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Rob Thomas from Matchbox, don't even worry about it?
- 43:49Speaker 4: Right?
- 43:50Speaker 1: Good?
- 43:50Speaker 4: Hey Ellison, We've got punk Son in the studio with
- 43:54Speaker 4: us now because apparently he's stuffed up and as I
- 44:00Speaker 4: said previous to this, he very really gets wrong as
- 44:03Speaker 4: Pugs he is. He is a machine and studio b.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Yeah, which makes us just so much more disappointing egregious.
- 44:10Speaker 4: Yeah, well, what what's going on, Pugs?
- 44:12Speaker 1: And what have you done? Get a fellas? How are
- 44:14Speaker 1: you gone?
- 44:17Speaker 8: All right?
- 44:18Speaker 5: Or ah?
- 44:21Speaker 1: Pa, you know, not bad huh, it's French. I'm great, Pugs.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Oh that's really good. Yeah. I just thought instead of
- 44:28Speaker 1: respecting a few days actually, instead of responding, I just
- 44:31Speaker 1: crank up the poke sound music. That's really good. Hey, listen.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I just wanted to.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Sort of, Oh, I know, I'm kind neither he nor
- 44:40Speaker 4: the end.
- 44:40Speaker 5: Yeah. I think that's Jason that you're in betwixt and
- 44:44Speaker 5: between a sure.
- 44:46Speaker 1: What happened, Pugs.
- 44:47Speaker 6: Yeah, Look, obviously the big part of the start of
- 44:51Speaker 6: the show today was your discussion around Black Friday, Jason.
- 44:54Speaker 6: The sales and consumerism and capitalism around that the big part.
- 44:58Speaker 5: Yeah, good start. What are the results of that, Pugson,
- 45:13Speaker 5: let's go. Well, it's been dying to find this one out.
- 45:15Speaker 5: What's your gifts, Jase.
- 45:16Speaker 4: I reckon seventy percent? No, yeah, Black Friday. I think
- 45:21Speaker 4: the sale.
- 45:22Speaker 1: I think you're wrong. I think seventy percent years Black Friday.
- 45:25Speaker 5: Again, sixty five No, yeah, I'll be interested to find
- 45:29Speaker 5: out just how you know, sort of I don't know,
- 45:33Speaker 5: consumer focus, our audiences.
- 45:37Speaker 1: That's probably one of the most interesting ones we've done.
- 45:39Speaker 4: That's why I brought it up, because I wanted to
- 45:41Speaker 4: find that information out. Yeah.
- 45:44Speaker 6: Yeah, so I don't know where it was, and I
- 45:49Speaker 6: take full responsibility for this, But when it got discussed
- 45:52Speaker 6: that that rant of the original idea of you discussing.
- 45:57Speaker 1: You wouldn't know.
- 46:04Speaker 6: At some point, at some point in that discussion, I
- 46:09Speaker 6: missed the part where it was becoming an official Hocke
- 46:13Speaker 6: Big Show Instagram big Poles?
- 46:15Speaker 1: Did you not hear it when I played this big Pole?
- 46:21Speaker 4: And now? And also, do you recall pug Son when
- 46:28Speaker 4: we like your tone? Do you recall when we had
- 46:31Speaker 4: that conversation?
- 46:32Speaker 1: What break it was?
- 46:34Speaker 4: The first break after the opening? Maybe? Yes, well we
- 46:36Speaker 4: do the big pole.
- 46:37Speaker 1: That's where I put it in your show planner, Jason.
- 46:39Speaker 6: Yes, you notice I didn't put a big pole, and
- 46:41Speaker 6: that'll be because I didn't think it was a big pole.
- 46:44Speaker 5: If in doubt, Brother, just ask call with you. Jay.
- 46:46Speaker 4: You'll put you straight, especially about big poles.
- 46:49Speaker 1: He'll put you so straight about big poles. Yeah, that's good.
- 46:53Speaker 1: But listen, I was editing a really really great podcast
- 46:58Speaker 1: out for you.
- 47:00Speaker 6: Yeah, at that point of the show, one that I
- 47:03Speaker 6: worked really hard on that I thought would create a
- 47:05Speaker 6: lot of mystery around what this thing was that happened
- 47:07Speaker 6: at Hangarbar. And so I was working on that at
- 47:11Speaker 6: the time.
- 47:11Speaker 5: Did they take you?
- 47:12Speaker 1: Oh, man, so long? You hear how long the clip was?
- 47:15Speaker 1: It was like twelve seconds. It's crazy. Ship of the reasons.
- 47:21Speaker 1: So I missed the big pole sting get played. He didn't.
- 47:25Speaker 1: He didn't make the big pole.
- 47:26Speaker 9: I didn't make the best instagram you say so, man,
- 47:31Speaker 9: I just I don't care about that. That's four minutes
- 47:33Speaker 9: it's taken to get to that. Wrap it up, Oh,
- 47:37Speaker 9: Pug Sam with a bit of late Connie advice there, Yes,
- 47:43Speaker 9: the whole.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Arky Big Shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Key see.
- 47:48Speaker 4: DC there on the radio, Hold Donkey Big Show this
- 47:52Speaker 4: Friday afternoon. Now we're heading into the weekend, we'll be
- 47:55Speaker 4: watching a bit of TV. So maybe you'll listen to
- 47:57Speaker 4: this next segment and go, oh, I'm going to watch
- 47:59Speaker 4: that because Mogi said, what's.
- 48:03Speaker 5: On the Telly with Mike Minogue. Yeah, I watched some
- 48:25Speaker 5: more of those slow horses. But there's some stuff in
- 48:29Speaker 5: there that is annoying me. Now that spies would never do.
- 48:34Speaker 5: You know, he's creeping up on someone, this guy out
- 48:37Speaker 5: in the country right creeping up on this Russian spy
- 48:40Speaker 5: says there's a farm gate there and a steel one
- 48:43Speaker 5: who just jumps on it, climbs up, jangle jangle, jangle jangle,
- 48:46Speaker 5: just climbs over. It's like, you wouldn't you wouldn't do that.
- 48:49Speaker 5: And then he sneaks up on them, and then somebody
- 48:52Speaker 5: comes up to him and he's just sort of like, oh,
- 48:56Speaker 5: you know, no, these guys are bad guys, don't worry
- 48:58Speaker 5: about long sort of that, and he lets the supposed
- 49:00Speaker 5: to get close enough to hit him.
- 49:03Speaker 6: You know.
- 49:03Speaker 5: It's just like he would have gone in there and
- 49:04Speaker 5: he would have shot everyone and that would have been
- 49:06Speaker 5: the end of it. So I'm annoyed by it now.
- 49:08Speaker 5: It's annoying to two season two. It's a good show.
- 49:11Speaker 5: They're only like six episodes of season.
- 49:14Speaker 1: No, I'll keep going. It's really good.
- 49:16Speaker 5: But it's just stuff like that that really lips it down.
- 49:19Speaker 5: That it's just that's just poor, poor, poor. You wouldn't
- 49:23Speaker 5: find that kind of riding on talkback, Jase, would you mate?
- 49:28Speaker 4: As I was flucking through Sky movies last night, we've
- 49:31Speaker 4: got to remind them to cancel it. Actually, I watched
- 49:34Speaker 4: The Tender Bar. Oh yeah, flick, bloody good movie. You
- 49:39Speaker 4: like that really really good movie.
- 49:42Speaker 1: The Tender Bar.
- 49:43Speaker 4: The Tender Bar, It's cool.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Is bartender backwards?
- 49:46Speaker 4: Yes, he's he is actually a bartender, right, And he's
- 49:49Speaker 4: the uncle of the main sort of character, who's this
- 49:52Speaker 4: young kid who's a bit of a prodigy. He's a
- 49:54Speaker 4: bit clever. His dad's abandoned him, and so he, being
- 49:57Speaker 4: our Flick's character, kind of takes the dad's The mom's
- 50:01Speaker 4: also an amazing coat and they live with the appearents still.
- 50:04Speaker 4: But it's a really great story. It's brilliantly written, brilliantly acted.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Highly recommended six point seven IMDb fifty rotten Tomatoes.
- 50:14Speaker 4: Wow, you and your wife, serrus E would like it.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I've seen the ratings now. I'm just not sure
- 50:21Speaker 1: it's a good It's a good movie, all right. And
- 50:23Speaker 1: where did you watch that? Sky Movies? You're really getting
- 50:27Speaker 1: your money's worth, are well?
- 50:28Speaker 4: Absolutely I am, because I'm paying no money.
- 50:30Speaker 1: There's a there's a show on TVNS in plus called
- 50:33Speaker 1: Amazing Hotels from Lobby to Something, and it's these two
- 50:38Speaker 1: people that go in the world to the best hotels
- 50:40Speaker 1: in the world and sort of go behind the scenes
- 50:42Speaker 1: and work, you know, in the laundry and do this
- 50:44Speaker 1: and do that, and they've picked some of the best
- 50:46Speaker 1: places ever. One was owned by Richard Branson and Morocco
- 50:50Speaker 1: or something. It's like an amazing five star hotel. The
- 50:52Speaker 1: one they were in in the Arctic Circle in a
- 50:54Speaker 1: fishing village where you get there it looks amazing, but
- 50:58Speaker 1: or you're in a little fishing hat and it's not.
- 51:00Speaker 1: All you can do there is go for hikes and
- 51:02Speaker 1: eat old fish in whale shagging and everything oppened. Well
- 51:07Speaker 1: you probably you can probably do that, yeah, but it's
- 51:09Speaker 1: like negative four degrees during the day and shit.
- 51:11Speaker 4: I'd definitely be shagging then.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Yeah, So check it out. It's a really good show.
- 51:17Speaker 5: I enjoy it.
- 51:18Speaker 1: Sounds good, Yeah, awesome. Jimmy Well, there's a tune man for.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Hurdarchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kisey.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Just indeed the Polish Club there on the radio Hodankee
- 51:34Speaker 4: Big Show. And as I look outside and see this
- 51:37Speaker 4: glorious summer weather, I can't help but think of the
- 51:40Speaker 4: upcoming Black Clash January eighteenth at the Hagley Oval. And
- 51:44Speaker 4: we've been watching a bit of the cricket today and
- 51:46Speaker 4: tell you what fellas Hagley Oval is looking beautiful. It
- 51:52Speaker 4: is actually a really lovely ground to watch Cricket's a
- 51:54Speaker 4: perfect round circle there, perfect viewing sort of facilities.
- 51:58Speaker 1: All that jazz.
- 51:59Speaker 4: But it's going to be better than that because you
- 52:01Speaker 4: fell I was going to have a hot spa on
- 52:02Speaker 4: the sideline there.
- 52:03Speaker 5: Well, you'll be commentating the game, Jase, remember that you
- 52:06Speaker 5: always commentate, Jase Man.
- 52:08Speaker 1: So you'll be able to see me and Moggi in
- 52:09Speaker 1: the hot spring spa on the boundary rope there, and
- 52:11Speaker 1: we'll have two winners with us Man.
- 52:13Speaker 4: Actually, one of the most significant moments that we had
- 52:16Speaker 4: on the commentary about not last year the year before
- 52:19Speaker 4: was the homo erotic interaction between Mogi and Matt Heath
- 52:24Speaker 4: and the spa port. I mean, maybe it'd had a
- 52:26Speaker 4: few beers easy, you were feeling relaxed, but you really
- 52:29Speaker 4: hoed into each other on live national television.
- 52:32Speaker 5: Yeah, that shot that went live to the nation probably
- 52:36Speaker 5: went for about a minute longer than we thought it
- 52:37Speaker 5: was going. We thought it was well finished.
- 52:39Speaker 1: But when you're watching a live sporting event and they'll
- 52:43Speaker 1: cut to people in the audience and they all celebrate
- 52:45Speaker 1: and they stay on them for way too long or
- 52:47Speaker 1: what happened or.
- 52:48Speaker 5: When they see or when the people that have got
- 52:50Speaker 5: the camera on them see the camera and start waving,
- 52:52Speaker 5: then they cut away immediately. Yeah, well we did worse
- 52:55Speaker 5: than that, but they didn't cut away at all.
- 52:56Speaker 1: You guys were pretending to go in for a curse,
- 52:58Speaker 1: pretending and then you've got super surely we've cut by now,
- 53:01Speaker 1: But they just aired the whole thing they did until
- 53:03Speaker 1: you then turned away and laughed. And I was just
- 53:05Speaker 1: there off to the sidelight with a half mongol.
- 53:08Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 53:08Speaker 4: And the one thing I know about you, Mogi is
- 53:11Speaker 4: that you know, when you're doing something like that, you commit.
- 53:13Speaker 4: I try so you know, there was no pulling out
- 53:15Speaker 4: as it were. You went straight in there. I was
- 53:19Speaker 4: running a half munga. He was running a full mote. Yeah,
- 53:21Speaker 4: he was going to full mogie. Yeah boy oh boy.
- 53:24Speaker 4: But listen, if you want to be a part of it,
- 53:26Speaker 4: what do they need to do there?
- 53:27Speaker 1: What are you talking about?
- 53:28Speaker 4: Well, I mean if they want to book teke, if
- 53:31Speaker 4: I want to go to ride on a tram, for example.
- 53:33Speaker 1: A tram, Well, if you want to book tickets black
- 53:36Speaker 1: Clash dolcodo in Zi, if you would like to win
- 53:38Speaker 1: the best seats in the house competition we're running at
- 53:40Speaker 1: the moment, which is you want to make free flights,
- 53:42Speaker 1: free accommodation tickets to go on the tram during the day,
- 53:45Speaker 1: and then also sitting with me and old Mogi in
- 53:48Speaker 1: the Hot Spring Spa on the boundary line for the
- 53:50Speaker 1: first in ins. Then here's hodak you dot co dot
- 53:52Speaker 1: Inzi get yourself in the drawer there and for the
- 53:54Speaker 1: second innings you be sitting in the a sec Export
- 53:56Speaker 1: Ultra party zone. So it's a hell of a prize.
- 54:00Speaker 1: It's thousands of dollars.
- 54:01Speaker 4: It's pretty mannic in the old party zone from memory too,
- 54:06Speaker 4: it does, and especially when they've got something visual like
- 54:08Speaker 4: you two in the Hot Spader so hard.
- 54:15Speaker 2: The whole achy big shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue
- 54:19Speaker 2: and Keezy.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Well there you get your new bars.
- 54:29Speaker 4: It's it's a big show down on dust your Friday afternoon.
- 54:32Speaker 4: As we head him to the weekend, Mogi you were saying, oh,
- 54:36Speaker 4: he're going to how into the pest and night and
- 54:38Speaker 4: the Darry responsibly responsibly Good on you mate, I mean,
- 54:41Speaker 4: why wouldn't you Because I'm going to the gym, so
- 54:43Speaker 4: I'm going to the gym tonight.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it was about that'll be about it for old Magi.
- 54:49Speaker 1: That is that what you really want to do, not
- 54:51Speaker 1: what I want to do.
- 54:52Speaker 5: But that's what I'm going to do, right, okay, Yeah, Yeah.
- 54:54Speaker 5: The thing I've got to I've got to make the decision,
- 54:56Speaker 5: Jose to do the hard thing. Sure, decide to do
- 54:59Speaker 5: the hard thing, and so that's that will be the
- 55:01Speaker 5: best thing for me. The easy thing would be to
- 55:03Speaker 5: get on the hammer and smoke that. Yeah, it's easy.
- 55:06Speaker 1: I love it. It's so easy. That's what I want
- 55:09Speaker 1: to be doing.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Now. What I know is going to stay easy. You've
- 55:12Speaker 4: already made it very very clear that you're going to
- 55:16Speaker 4: get hammered responsibly.
- 55:18Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get.
- 55:19Speaker 4: No, you said I'm gonna get because you're going for
- 55:22Speaker 4: a barbie with one of your big mates.
- 55:25Speaker 1: You're gonna get keasy, keasy tonight. I want to get
- 55:29Speaker 1: so keasy.
- 55:30Speaker 4: And then you're gonna put on angele Bert humbered.
- 55:32Speaker 1: And on the kitchen floor. I'm gonna put Kwando Kwondo
- 55:36Speaker 1: Kwonda on so loud at like two am.
- 55:38Speaker 5: It's gonna be great.
- 55:39Speaker 4: It's great, Jeane.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Though, to be fair, it's a great tune.
- 55:42Speaker 4: That and.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Tom Joe Tom Jones when I'm steaming, man, that's the
- 55:50Speaker 1: stuff to jam, so good, good stuff. Yes, what are
- 55:55Speaker 1: you up to tonight?
- 55:56Speaker 8: Man?
