- 0:00Speaker 1: Nobody does it like your early body praise party. I
- 0:04Speaker 1: am sharing, Mackie, and it's time right now for today's word.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Your destiny is not tied to what you lost, The
- 0:15Speaker 1: word of the Lord says in First Samuel sixteen and one,
- 0:19Speaker 1: the Lord said to Samuel, how long will you mourn
- 0:22Speaker 1: for Saul since I've rejected him as king over Israel.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Fill your horn with oil and be on your way.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I'm sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen
- 0:34Speaker 1: one of his sons to be king. God had told
- 0:39Speaker 1: Samuel to annoy Saul to be the first king of Israel. Oh,
- 0:44Speaker 1: I can see Samuel taking Saul, who wasn't trained in leadership.
- 0:49Speaker 1: He took him under his wings. He was encouraging him,
- 0:52Speaker 1: He was sharing good advice and counsel with him. He
- 0:57Speaker 1: wanted to see him succeed so badly, will y'all start?
- 1:03Speaker 1: Saul started to fall off, but over time he started compromising.
- 1:10Speaker 1: He lost the kingdom. God told Samuel, I regret that
- 1:14Speaker 1: I ever made Saul king. Whoo for you to do
- 1:19Speaker 1: something so awful that God regrets a decision he made
- 1:22Speaker 1: to promote and bless you. Samuel got so discouraged by
- 1:27Speaker 1: what didn't work out, wondering why Saul didn't just do
- 1:31Speaker 1: better that God finally told Samuel that he had more
- 1:35Speaker 1: long enough over what was lost. The nation's destiny lies
- 1:41Speaker 1: ahead in the next choice. David, who became the greatest
- 1:46Speaker 1: king who ever lived, was the next choice. Just like Samuel,
- 1:53Speaker 1: you may have done your very best, invested in something,
- 1:56Speaker 1: invested in someone giving you a heart of your soul,
- 2:00Speaker 1: but you didn't get the promotion, the relationship didn't work out,
- 2:04Speaker 1: or the business didn't succeed. I know, I know it
- 2:08Speaker 1: wasn't fair, it wasn't your fault. But your destiny is
- 2:13Speaker 1: not in what you lost. It's in what you have left.
- 2:18Speaker 1: If you stop mourning your loss, you'll come into something greater,
- 2:22Speaker 1: something better, something more fulfilling than you ever imagined. Your
- 2:28Speaker 1: destiny is not in what was lost, but what God
- 2:33Speaker 1: has in store for your future. Oh Father God, thank
- 2:38Speaker 1: you for new dreams, for new relationships, for new beginnings
- 2:42Speaker 1: and new seasons. Thank you that after a season of
- 2:46Speaker 1: disappointments and mourning over the souls of our lives, so
- 2:50Speaker 1: to speak, you already have a David lined up for us. God,
- 2:54Speaker 1: we look forward to something greater and more fulfilling than
- 2:57Speaker 1: we ever imagined. And Jesus now that's your word for today.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I want you to take that apply to your everyday
- 3:04Speaker 1: life and you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It's
- 3:07Speaker 1: early wedding praise party. I am Sherry Mackey
