- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Let's do a quick pop quiz.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: This is gonna prove to you just how busy your weekends are.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: You know how how insane we've said this for years.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: We do something terrible.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: I don't know if it's like this in other parts of the country or we just don't observe it as much.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Like if you go to a, I don't know, Philadelphia, like LeBron.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Or or Pittsburgh or Buffalo or stuff like that.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: Do you just ignore certain things that just don't interest you?
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: But then it feels like there's 10 million things happening here because we're in a more condensed area, like And I think that we just care more about supporting the community than being in a larger city.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Because it is, you have said this, and you're so right.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: We're back to pre-pandemic times 10 of overpacking weekends and too many different events taking place.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: And it's like, uh, I guess we'll go here, we'll go here, we'll go here.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna pop quiz you.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, go ahead.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: What'd you have for dinner Friday night?
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: This is gonna prove to you how busy you are.
- 0:51unknown: Oh my God.
- 0:52unknown: I don't know.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: It was two days ago.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: What'd you have for dinner Friday night?
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: I know what I had on Saturday.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Oh, I do know what I had on Friday.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Yes, I do, because I have to, I have to tell you this.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: It was the perfect summer dinner.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: We had BLTs.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Do love a BLT.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Me too, on my favorite sourdough bread that I keep on preaching about from Steamy Farms.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Steamy Farms.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Steamy Farms.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: And then we also had the cucumber tomato salad, and that's pretty much it.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Good, good summer meal.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, why are we why just a stream?
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Well, just proving how busy people are that they're not even gonna remember what they ate Friday night.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, and it was like literally going into the weekend.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Usually you these are those moments where you're like, oh man, I'm into the weekend, this and that.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: I also think it's true about like when you live in a larger city, you just don't care about attending things as much.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: You're not as invested.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: You may not go to the east side if you live on the west side of a city, you know, that often.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: I know that my my group of friends from Cleveland, they are not busy like I am.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: They do not attend events like I do.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: They will attend things, like if there's a wedding, they'll go to that.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: But their weekends are not spent doing these things.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Also, in those cities, you have a population base that there's enough people to make one event a packed event, and still enough people to make the other four events a packed event.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: Here, I swear nobody checks around like calendars to be able to be like, hey, what it what uh is there anything going on over in Big Flats this week?
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: As opposed to, you know what I mean?
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I was talking to the owner of Bub, Bub's Liquor, and it's the liquor store in Odessa, and we were saying that, and he's like, You just can't avoid it.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: It doesn't even matter.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Now I'm gonna show Scott a video, and when I show you this video, Scott, I I want you to just take a look at it and tell me what you think about this.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Somebody is receiving a massage.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Oh it's a young guy receiving a massage.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: And do you see that woman's a little bit older?
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Do you see the caption?
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: Uh well, no, I have to look.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: No, I can't.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: It's it's it says the caption is um my genuine reaction to seeing my husband get a massage from his mom.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: Let me see that one.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: He's about, sure.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: He's he's about, I would say 27, 28 is my guess.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: It's a fairly young looking mother, too, now that I look at it.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: She's She's rubbing his shoulders.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Rubbing his upper arms, rubbing his neck.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Don't you get the ick from I feel like it's No.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: No?
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: No, I don't.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Um now if it was, I don't know, a cousin or something, it would be a little weirder.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: So you're saying moms can always massage their son's shoulders and neck.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: I promise you 110% right now, if we ask Heather up in Buffalo, she absolutely massages Alex.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Well, she would.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: She would admit that she would.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: You're okay.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Mother to son to do it, yes.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: And mother to daughter to do it, yes.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Like it's the shoulders and then down the arms.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Does this give anyone else the ick?
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Nah, it doesn't for me.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: It's like 28 years old.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: I keep on trying to sell it.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: 28 years old, mom is massaging.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you're always mom or dad.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I'm not letting my dad massage my shoulders.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, if you had, if you guys were doing something.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: I'm calling my massage therapist.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Phoebe?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: No, you rub me out.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: No, you can't.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: You're in you're in Cleveland.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: I can't let my dad do that again.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: God.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: See?
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Well, when you put it that way, you're in Cleveland, okay?
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: And you guys did I don't know what.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: And you're a baseball tournament.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, God.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Uh of eight hours every day.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Uh, and you're just you're you're there and your dad's sitting behind you.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: I don't find that creepy.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: I I just don't.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: I can't.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Now, I mean, there are if you were laid out on a table and they were doing unless they were Oh my god, you're making this so much worse.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: Well, that's where it gets worse.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: They're just sitting to to paint the picture for people.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: It looked like they were sitting in stands.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: Kind of like watching their kids' baseball games.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: And mom just leaned in and and yes, I think moms do that.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: You have got to text us on our app.
