- 0:25Welcome inside the Treehouse. It is the Friday after Christmas, but right before
- 0:31New Year's. Yeah, it's a dead week Friday. Don't know why I've
- 0:37always referred to this week as a dead week, but oh wait, yeah
- 0:39I do. It's because all the businesses and so many things kind of go
- 0:44dark during this week. Like if you're stuck at work, no one wants
- 0:48to be there and you're just there physically because you have to, but mentally
- 0:51you're totally checked out. You're thinking about other stuff. Nothing actually gets done
- 0:57on this week. I mean, is there ever in the history of Man
- 0:59ever been a major merger, acquisition or a business deal that happened between Christmas
- 1:04and New Year's Uh? In India, I'm gonna go yes, Okay,
- 1:10yeah, maybe there, but but not in Waspy America, No, North
- 1:17America, Europe solid mm hmmm, Southeast Asia, Asia mergers happening, business
- 1:23as usual. If anything, it might ramp up because then the Westerners are
- 1:27sleeping on it. That's exactly they get a good deal. This is their
- 1:30Black Friday. Yeah. Well, welcome those of you South Asians who were
- 1:38watching and or listening to The Treehouse podcast on your Black Friday. Congratulations.
- 1:44I hope you hope it. I hope it's fruitful for you, and I
- 1:48hope it's a positive event for you, unlike apparently what happened to Raj last
- 1:55night. Yeah, uh, buddy, okay, I feel I feel solid.
- 2:04Well. I think that's due to something called cyclo benza prime Trey.
- 2:10You're an amateur pharmacology, pharmacological analysis. Please have that particular medicine. Uh
- 2:19any Benzo's you know, Raj is feeling no pain Anzo. I bet I
- 2:25could get Raj to like Abba right now. Oh, I'm a fan of
- 2:30dancing Quean Buddy write a miracle. I'm telling you they're a highly underrated band.
- 2:38That was really easy, Drey, good job. No, they still
- 2:40suck even on even on muscles. Uh. Yeah, we still have to
- 2:46get We still have to have a therapy session and figure out what happened with
- 2:49you and Abba. Uh no, so as you can see, uh broken
- 2:53hand, Yeah, you got a what is that an ace bandage around your
- 2:57hand there? It's just uh so it's the so where it kind of broke
- 3:01is the top here, So it's not it doesn't keep me from doing this.
- 3:07It it's like a punchers fracture. Yeah, well it's actually below that,
- 3:10because I actually have a puncher's fracture on this pinky, but it's like
- 3:15directly below it. So so what happened. You got into a wreck and
- 3:19then punched the person that ran into you. No, I would have I
- 3:23would never have done that. But I was just I've been driving thirty two
- 3:28years, never been in a car accident. And I was going down Frankfurt
- 3:31and got to the intersection of Preston and saw the green light and the red
- 3:39arrow saying that the people in the turnline couldn't turn, and I just was
- 3:44going on through on my way home. Oh and then that music started playing
- 3:52in my head. I was just going through the intersection, and this lady
- 3:57apparently cut somebody else off to run the red light. And I think they
- 4:04I was doing because speaking is forty, so I think I was doing like
- 4:08thirty eight. It's a twenty twelve JEP Patriot. I wasn't. I wasn't
- 4:12up to forty yet. Yeah, it wasn't downhill, so I think I
- 4:17hit her about thirty seven miles an hour. Like I don't say that.
- 4:20You were trying to go straight through the intersection, and even though she had
- 4:24red arrows on a left turn, she decided to like come around your right
- 4:30and turn in front of you. Yeah, she came across from me,
- 4:32so wow, and she had she had the red arrows for a hot second
- 4:38like, oh wait, I'm sorry. She was coming oncoming towards you.
- 4:42So if I'm going straight down, she cut this way like she was going
- 4:46directly, Like she hit me so hard that well, I hit her and
- 4:50it just moved the cheap So it was one of those things that I mean,
- 4:56I was diswarned, like the airbags deployed, and that was frightening,
- 4:59and I just kept asking if she was okay. And then this guy,
- 5:02this guy who looked like a really fit Santa but still bald, oh,
- 5:09came up and it was like don't move, don't move, and I'm like
- 5:13I'm not moving, man, I'm not moving. And then I felt something
- 5:15wet go down my leg on my leg, and I'm like, oh,
- 5:18man, either I have a compound fracture or a peede myself, uh,
- 5:24which was uh died coke. It was a die coke in the console.
- 5:29Did I see that coming? But are we talking about like the rock in
- 5:32a Santa outfit or uh no, uh no, that was not not not
- 5:38that sexy of a Sanna No, talk about like a five foot five but
- 5:43fit but had the the beginnings of the beard, uh glasses, the bulky
- 5:48red sweater. I was like, oh this is this is not So it's
- 5:53sort of like either bodybuilder Santa or CrossFit Santa. Yeah, definitely CrossFit Santa.
- 5:59Our bald tom cruse Santa. Yes, but without the chunky hands because
- 6:03he was like pride open the door. But yeah, the lady admitted she
- 6:08was like I was confused. I'm like, and I kind of joked with
- 6:10the police. I was like confused with green light, red light. I'm
- 6:15like, I know it's around Christmas and like those colors can be confusing.
- 6:19But yeah, she totally admitted like she ran the red light and she read
- 6:25it by a mile. I mean she cut a person off to run it
- 6:29and then claimed to be confused. So was she like, actually, not
- 6:31only did she run the red light, but was she almost like turning out
- 6:34of the wrong lane. Yes, that's yeah, you need to own her.
- 6:48I was just more concerned that she was okay, like I don't know,
- 6:51Like I just kept and I kept asking him, like is that the
- 6:55light was green. Right, the light was green, And this guy knocked
- 6:58on the ambulance and he's like, and I saw the whole thing. She
- 7:00cut me off, and it's the guy that she cut off. Was like,
- 7:04and he goes, I'm in insurance, so I had to stop and
- 7:08give you this information. I was like, oh, thank you so much.
- 7:13But yeah, the then we the paramedics. Now those guys, I
- 7:17think there's a prerequisite between Addison and Dallas County that they all have to be
- 7:23stupid good looking like it was. It was just unfair, Like I'm just
- 7:28sitting there gonna make that Buddy Daniel, who's a paramedic in Terren County,
- 7:31extremely jealous. Yeah. I mean one guy was from LA. I'm like,
- 7:36what are you doing? Here? Is a gut hired by Dallas.
- 7:39I'm like, of course you did you send a headshot in what do you
- 7:42Yeah? They don't bother asking if you know how to how to run an
- 7:44ivy or you know, do any actual trauma work. They just got like,
- 7:48look at that smile, man, we need him is in our fleet.
- 7:51I mean, I'm not gonna like crystal blue eyes was like, come
- 7:56on, buddy, what are you doing and he's like, hey, man,
- 7:58I'm just glad you're okay. I'm look, I'm glad you're okay.
- 8:03I think this car returned to Gate. But I'm just saying you're a fellow.
- 8:07Well, congratulations, Roger. I mean, it's you playing football in
- 8:11high school. You saw Jesus after you got hit really hard, and now
- 8:13you're getting your first car accident, and and you and you've seen an angel.
- 8:18He was he was just living a Hallmark movie. I came back to
- 8:26my hometown and got in an accident. Yeah, yeah you did. And
- 8:30you fell in love in the most unexpected place, yeah, the most unexpected.
- 8:35Man. Does Hallmark have a gay channel? It's okay, that makes
- 8:43sense, But it's always funny when they're like, can you give me we
- 8:48have to send like the police report to your email address, and I'm like,
- 8:50here's my email address. It's comedian Roger. You know. I was
- 8:52like, I'm gonna go out on a limb. Here are you a comedian?
- 8:56I'm like, you know, I do have a show coming up January
- 8:58twenty fifty. Probably. Well, and when I say that, everybody turned
- 9:01around that we'll be there. I'm like, that's a lot of comps.
- 9:03There's a lot of people here, and now I'm like, I have to
- 9:07because these guys kind of save them a life, So I feel obligated to
- 9:11have and please come twenty fifth because I think four out of the twelve months
- 9:16of the calendar are going to be at that show. Whatever the police firefighter
- 9:20calendar is. Oh yeah, they're they're they're gonna be there far shorter than
- 9:26I thought, but they're very fit. I'd be I'd be curious though,
- 9:30if instead of comedian, had you told them like if it was uh a
- 9:35Raj at Treehouse on air dot com, Well what do you do? Well,
- 9:39I'm a podcaster, and then instead of them flocking to you, they
- 9:43all scatter. They just open the doors push you out back. I did
- 9:50have a dumb moment though, and I will say this and we could be
- 9:52done with it. But as we're going to the hospital, I'm like,
- 9:56who's who's behind us? And I'm like, what do you mean to these
- 10:00sirens? Who's behind us? Like? Uh, the sirens are us?
- 10:05I was like, my bad, I forgot ambulance. Yeah? Or did
- 10:09they did they give you the official concussion diagnosis? Or am I just doing
- 10:11it right now? You're doing it right now. They said, uh,
- 10:15they didn't say concussed, they said, uh, highly disoriented. I was
- 10:18like, I think I'm pretty sure that by NFL terms, that gets you
- 10:22in the blue tent and you're questionable to return. No, I'm like to
- 10:26hug you who got popped and then came back into the game. You're just
- 10:31throwing balls left and right like the football players I do football good. Listen
- 10:39to my podcast Raja we make the stupid dot com. You're in the tree
- 10:52house. Visit us online a treehouse on air dot com. Eight three to
- 11:01three Cook dfw' is the phone number to reach Daniel Cook from Cook df W
- 11:05Roofing and Restoration to get your free roof inspection. The good thing about a
- 11:09roofing business, Daniel, is you really don't have to force analysis paralysis on
- 11:15your customers, right because you come out, they think they have a problem
- 11:18with the roof, and you fix the roof. It's pretty simple, very
- 11:20straightforward. But I wanted to throw this at you. I saw a news
- 11:22story that gen Z is apparently terrified least some of them are about going out
- 11:28to eat because they have to make such a huge choice of what to eat
- 11:33for dinner and possibly the scariest part of all, they have to interact with
- 11:37a person, the waiter. The problems that we have got ourselves into in
- 11:46the world, Wow, I mean, who knows. I mean, growing
- 11:52up, we didn't have an idea of not communicating with each other and not
- 11:58talking to each other. I mean, it was just what you You've learned
- 12:01it so young, it was ingrained into you. And so now for these
- 12:05generations that have been so and I can't say it's about video games and everybody
- 12:09complains about people playing video games all the time and people, you know,
- 12:13not getting out and talking to people is the reason why, I don't know,
- 12:16I think it has more to do with that. But for food though,
- 12:18come on, now, you get hungry, you know, you don't
- 12:22want to eat the same stuff all the time. You just want to go
- 12:24out and pick a new stuff. That's the part of life that's so fun
- 12:26is the adventure of trying new stuff and getting to see new things, and
- 12:31when you travel, eating stuff that you can't have at home. And I
- 12:35mean, I couldn't imagine being afraid to go out to a restaurant because I
- 12:39didn't want to interact with people that just I can't. That blows my mind
- 12:41right now. I'm just I'm with you. I'm with you. And the
- 12:45good news is is I know that that your daughters, they're part of that.
- 12:48I believe gen z encompasses at least one of them at least seventeen year
- 12:54old, and I'm probably your oldest one, who's twenty three. Yeah,
- 12:58so I like to think that they're capable of such things. Yeah. No,
- 13:01they enjoy going out. A matter of fact, my oldest is out
- 13:05in downtown Dallas all the time interacting with people. I mean, she'sus social
- 13:09butterfly. And then my youngest is same way. I mean, she walks
- 13:13up to people all the time and just starts talking. And I love that
- 13:16about them. I mean it's just like you know, they don't meet strangers,
- 13:20and sometimes it's a bad thing, but for the most part, I
- 13:24mean, yeah, no, I think it's good for people to go out
- 13:26and try new things and have a good time. And I hope that I
- 13:28hope somehow we get away from that. I hope somehow that they change their
- 13:33gears and we figure out how to make these generations better, you know,
- 13:37before us or after us. You know, I just well, it sounds
- 13:41like your daughters are sort of leading the way. Maybe they'll take some of
- 13:43these closeted gen z ers who are afraid to go out to eat, and
- 13:46they'll they'll take them out and help them, help them along and into this
- 13:48big, bright, scary world, just like Daniel Cook will do for you
- 13:54and your roof. Bring it out into the big bright, scary world and
- 13:56make it all better. Eight three three Cook DFW for that free roof inspection

- 15:20I don't take them. I don't take advil for headaches. But if
- 15:24anybody no, I don't know. Oh man, I'm a baby when it
- 15:30comes to headaches. I will snort some goddamn ad I don't care. You
- 15:35got that good stuff? Is like yeah, PM, sorry man, my
- 15:39minimum dosa to Advil's like I started four. Yeah, that's what they told
- 15:43me to take last night. They're like, you can take four. You
- 15:45need to take that's not not even you can't like you need to take four
- 15:48eight hundred millimsprof. And I was like, I'm good, Uh, but
- 15:52yeah, helps it helps with the inflammation, so that that actually, yeah,
- 15:56I mean that knows down over time, I'm good. It's just annoying.
- 16:02Like it's like when you get a like Dan, I don't think you
- 16:04have any Do you have tattoos? Dan? I got one? Oh yeah,
- 16:07So it's like you've never hit that spot until you get a tattoo,
- 16:11Like you've never nobody's ever like grabbed you by the arm or hit you or
- 16:15whatever. So it's the same thing. Like I kept bumping my hand into
- 16:18things and I'm like, ah, right, okay, this is annoying.
- 16:21So they put the little extra padding on the thing and then I'm like,
- 16:25I'm good, and they gave me a whole thing of muscle actions. I'm
- 16:27like, you guys are awesome. I don't want to be I don't want
- 16:33to be on the corner of the tollway and Frankfort like, I'll do whatever
- 16:36you need for some muscle reaction. I was gonna say, I used to
- 16:41know a guy that would write your prescription, but that got him into turns
- 16:48out that's not a good or legal thing to do. And well, Merry
- 16:55Christmas to him in prison. Oh, speaking of sex, we're doing a
- 17:10couple of shows in this dead week one because we want to it keeps,
- 17:15you know, cause they say like idle hands or work of the devil,
- 17:18or whatever the hell the saying is. It's like, we like to stay
- 17:21busy within reason, and we want to give give you and the treehouse something
- 17:25fun to do over the dead week and something to look forward to. So
- 17:30all we decided to do was look around and scour the treehouse floor and look
- 17:37for some things like news stories or various you know, content pieces, whatever
- 17:41it is that we had planned for previous in the year, but we just
- 17:44never got around to it because other things, you know, took precedence.
- 17:48So there are some things that we'd like to now share with you before the
- 17:53end of the year when they sort of expire. And one of those,
- 17:59and I'm surprise we didn't get to this in a timely fashion, one of
- 18:03those is, according to the website Clips, the number four sale clips for
- 18:11sale dot com. What the what the top fetishes of twenty twenty three were.
- 18:18Okay, yeah, I didn't know they changed by year, but all
- 18:23right, well, I mean tastes change, you know, from year to
- 18:27year. Some people maybe from month to month or minute to minute. But
- 18:30in this case, they decided to put together all their big searches for the
- 18:37year and break them up, you know, by you know, various categories.
- 18:42And it turns out the most popular fetish of twenty twenty three giant test
- 18:49porn. What yeah, giant test giant s giant s so big women?
- 19:00Okay, yeah, like like the fifty foot tall woman like that movie.
- 19:06But yeah. Clips for Sale just posted their top searches of twenty twenty three
- 19:10and number one the top kink Giant test porn. Giant porn basically, now,
- 19:15I actually say this doesn't it's not just tall. What they do is
- 19:19they use you know, camera tricks and angles and other effects to create the
- 19:26illusion that someone is a giant. Okay, and I guess the smaller person
- 19:30is crawling around on top of them or something. I I, for one,
- 19:33I typically like to research my news topics very thoroughly. This is one
- 19:40I thought, you know, it's better. I don't. I think.
- 19:41I think the imagination will suffice here. You know, is this why you
- 19:47bought those hul cans for your hand site? Busted, I'm busted. Giant
- 19:59porn in India's anybody over five to five. So, according to the website,
- 20:07giant test porn was their top search in the United States. But not
- 20:11limited to the United States. It was also the Tope in Australia, Mexico,
- 20:17and the fetish experts in Japan. We just lost him, lost it.
- 20:22They even decided to post a map. Hey Dan, I do love
- 20:26a good map. They posted a map of the search fetishes for the year.
- 20:33And if you're curious, I don't think this is one of the nineteen
- 20:37states leading the charge for giant porn. Can you can you hear us?
- 20:48Can you hear me? Trey? I can hear you can hear me?
- 20:49He can't hear it. He can't hear us. He looks like he's looking
- 20:55around the corner. Can can you hear us? Whatddy? We can edit
- 21:08this right, hey roj Yeah, laugh. You're listening to the Treehouse one
- 21:30Treehouse on air dot com. He won't even know. Let's talk to Jacqueline
- 21:44from Brooks Plumbing two one, four, three, six, eight thirty eight
- 21:47thirty eight for any and all of your plumbing once and needs. Now we've
- 21:49got Christmas behind us, and what do you have planning for New Year's Ever
- 21:52you a big go out person or are you the opposite? Saying I'm older
- 21:56now I've had my go out time. I'm gonna stay at home and watch
- 21:59the ball. I've absolutely had my go out time. I am going to
- 22:03stay home. Fiance is on call. It's his on call that weekend,
- 22:07and if I can't go out with him, I don't really want to go
- 22:11out without him. Now on New Year's not when you want to be with
- 22:12your person. So we'll stay home. We'll watch movies, make dinner,
- 22:17and just have a very relaxing evening. It's amazing how the older we get
- 22:21the nicer. That sounds like. Hearing you describe that sounds like, oh,
- 22:23that sounds really really good. Yeah, you still got the Christmas tree
- 22:29up, so it's got a soft glow in the house of the lights in
- 22:30the fireplace. And just stay warm. It's cold here. I don't like
- 22:34the cold. I'm going to do that. Well, if you ever change
- 22:38your mind on living in a cold place, you know, I know a
- 22:41good spot. Just I'm just saying I do too. We're I would.
- 22:48I would definitely relocate to Saint John. That's a beautiful island. And trust
- 22:52me, there are plenty of plumbing projects that would need your attention if you
- 22:56chose to go that route. As it is, you as you're staying busy
- 23:00in North Texas helping people. So if you need help with your plumbing,

- 23:40not bring me new Internet yet for the new year, so I'm I'm holding
- 23:44out hope that maybe it'll be a late edition, like he'll swing back around
- 23:48and be like, oh, I forgot Dan's house and you know, shoved
- 23:51less talking. Uh, but uh, thank you for bailing me out there.
- 23:57Gentlemen, there is another story that found its way to the floor of
- 24:03the Treehouse that is essential that we bring up before it expires at the end
- 24:10of the year, and that is the story that is truly terrifying. Typically
- 24:18we deal with stupid. And I think in this case, this is something
- 24:22that is so gruesome and glory and frightening that it kind of turns the corner
- 24:29into stupid. Like it's it's so like a Dahmer would look at this and
- 24:33go, that's fed up. Yeah, And I really don't think I'm I'm
- 24:38you know, overstating it at all. So come right and and tell you
- 24:42about this. Okay, you're ready, You're not a bloods covered, naked
- 24:51New Jersey man was found on top of his mom's headless body. Okay,
- 25:00you still think you're ready? No, No, you're noteless. I will
- 25:06say this though, Trey, I know you have a complicated relationship with your
- 25:10mother, so I'm really curious to know your thoughts on this particular story.
- 25:15Clearly, what he did was wrong. There's a button there. I can
- 25:22feel it. But I understand. I knew it. I knew it.
- 25:30I knew it. Oh, I'll give you a little more detail here.
- 25:36When police arrived to an apartment after receiving a call from a man claiming he
- 25:40had just killed his mother, they found Jeffrey's surgeant naked and covered in blood
- 25:45on top of the headless body of his mother. Look, he's forty six.
- 25:49She was seventy four. He's charged with murder in connection with the death
- 25:53of his mother. He called police around four pm on December eighth to tell
- 25:57them he was bipolar and that he had just killed his mom. The line
- 26:00remained open and said nothing more. Surveillance footage showed a head roll out of
- 26:07the apartment at a high rate of speed and the head hit a wall enrolled
- 26:11to where it was later found by police. So it sounds like a little
- 26:15bit of a light bowling ensued after the murder. He could also be seen.
- 26:21The suspect could also be seen peeking out of the apartment than pulling his
- 26:25mother's body into the hallway. He was naked and laid on top of it.
- 26:30And that's how police discovered him. Wow, that way. Police handcuffed
- 26:36him, took him out of the building. He screamed over and over he
- 26:38had killed his mom and that he was sorry, and then he began to
- 26:41sing Jesus loves me. Yeah. Wow, that is a that's a lot.
- 26:49That's a lot to take in, isn't it. And if you don't
- 26:55think police deserve more money, this is the case where you're like, just
- 26:59pay them what they're work because I love the it sounds weird, but the
- 27:06you said had the bowling thing, I'm like, okay, well that just
- 27:10a that sounds about right. Uh with this guy, that sounds about part
- 27:15for the course. Uh. And this is one of those great examples.
- 27:19That's the reason why I could not be a police officer, nor would I
- 27:22want to be, because if I'm the responding officer, the first responding officer
- 27:26on that scene. Yeah, I get to the top of the steps and
- 27:30I see that dude laying there on top of the headland, and then and
- 27:33then and the thing and the other thing and the bullet. Yeah, I'm
- 27:34just gonna slowly back down the stairs, turn off my flashlight, put my
- 27:37hand over my body cam, get back in the car, and I'm gonna
- 27:41go to Denny's and say I saw nothing, dispatch and just wait for them
- 27:47to pass them off to the next cour soul or you have your trustee,
- 27:53you throw down he tossed it at him, shoot the guy, and just
- 27:57go I'll wrapped up here. But we still go to Denny's for the grand
- 28:06slam. Oh yeah, just make it sure. Well, he was naked,
- 28:11so might as well get the moons over my hammi. Oh no,
- 28:18no, I'm not saying no, but I'm not gonna say yes. See
- 28:33again, this is one of those great examples where we can take a truly
- 28:37horrific story and find some humor in it. Oh man, Yeah, let's
- 28:45put that one back down on the floor of the treehouse and never discuss it
- 28:48again, just like her head. I'm leaving you, Secrest Inns
