- 0:05Speaker 1: You love it game. I think you took this way
- 0:11Speaker 1: too seriously. I do not think your wife thinks you're us.
- 0:15Speaker 2: This was the rudest thing I've ever seen. All Right.
- 0:17Speaker 1: So we were d unhinged last night for big happy hour,
- 0:21Speaker 1: and I was showing Corey your wife that a girlfriend
- 0:26Speaker 1: of mine she just debuted her new relationship on Instagram.
- 0:30Speaker 1: And we were looking at the picture and the guy
- 0:33Speaker 1: is not what we would call a looker. Okay, it's
- 0:37Speaker 1: I'm sure he's a nice man, clearly she likes him,
- 0:41Speaker 1: but he's just not a looker. And so I said, oh, well,
- 0:45Speaker 1: you know, girls don't care that much about a guy's looks.
- 0:49Speaker 1: And Corey immediately responded, like I don't even think the
- 0:53Speaker 1: sentence finished coming out of my now pause, what did
- 0:59Speaker 1: she say?
- 1:00Speaker 3: ANGI goes, ah, yeah, girls don't care about Oh yeah,
- 1:04Speaker 3: I totally agree. It was like she had to defend
- 1:10Speaker 3: some poor life choices she had made.
- 1:13Speaker 1: It was so funny.
- 1:16Speaker 2: It's the most heartbroken I've ever.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Been the her in your eyes, like you really looked
- 1:21Speaker 1: like that wounded you. And it was a joy to watch.
- 1:25Speaker 1: She did not mean that about you, She just I'm
- 1:29Speaker 1: sure could relate with other uggos.
- 1:34Speaker 3: It's just the quickness, the sincerity she said it with
- 1:39Speaker 3: was heartbreaking. And just the other day we had an
- 1:43Speaker 3: am I the problem about kind of the exact opposite
- 1:46Speaker 3: of the situation we're talking about right now. Some lady
- 1:49Speaker 3: was dating a dude who was a very handsome guy
- 1:52Speaker 3: and had a PhD in physics or or we're talking
- 1:56Speaker 3: about physics in the bedroom, is what I mean. Yes,
- 1:58Speaker 3: and she's he was kind of a dummy, and I
- 2:01Speaker 3: related to that wholeheartedly, not the being incredibly good looking
- 2:04Speaker 3: part or anything like that. But you know what, us
- 2:06Speaker 3: dumbos need love to Okay, we might walk into walls
- 2:10Speaker 3: as we operate throughout the day, but that doesn't mean
- 2:13Speaker 3: we don't deserve love. And we joked about how I
- 2:16Speaker 3: guess my wife's only with me for my looks? Are
- 2:18Speaker 3: you thought I thought I learned yesterday? She with the
- 2:23Speaker 3: gusto of trying to defend, like, oh yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Girls don't always like ice got the looks? You broke
- 2:28Speaker 2: my soul?
- 2:30Speaker 1: You know what it is? She's just been doing you
- 2:33Speaker 1: a kindness. She is a social.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Worker, I know, And you know what I've been feeling
- 2:37Speaker 3: myself a tiny bit, Angie, You know you might relate
- 2:39Speaker 3: to this if you're on your way to work or
- 2:40Speaker 3: school or wherever you might.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Maybe you've had a great week.
- 2:43Speaker 3: You know, You've got up every morning, You've done your stretches,
- 2:45Speaker 3: some jumping jacks, a couple of pushups, you're brushing your teeth,
- 2:48Speaker 3: you're getting the makeup done before you go to school
- 2:50Speaker 3: or whatever. And you're like, you know, I'm walking a
- 2:53Speaker 3: little bit taller today. This past week, your boy has
- 2:56Speaker 3: been making sure he puts on his psoriasis lotion and
- 3:00Speaker 3: damn night, Oh good, And I've been walking just a
- 3:02Speaker 3: tiny bit taller.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And you have a new chain.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I have a few less red patches on my body.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I got the new bling, just a little chain,
- 3:10Speaker 3: but I got this chain, and I'm thinking, you know, this.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Is my time to shine the spring.
- 3:15Speaker 4: And now my wife thinks I'm gross. Operate your Friday
- 3:19Speaker 4: like that, celebrating life's little victories. Every morning.
- 3:28Speaker 5: We practice gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 3:31Speaker 4: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:33Speaker 4: plastic job busted out whenever someone's acting hard.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Share your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 3:39Speaker 5: two and Oho one ninety eight.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Seven Kids I also needed to win that day.
- 3:44Speaker 3: All right, Angie, do you have a little victory for
- 3:45Speaker 3: us on this beautiful Friday?
- 3:47Speaker 1: I do, and it's very simple. I slept through the night.
- 3:52Speaker 1: What am I a baby? I slept through the night
- 3:54Speaker 1: without waking up once, without having to go to the
- 3:57Speaker 1: rest Like I just went to bed and woke up
- 4:01Speaker 1: when my timer went off. I think that night, Oh
- 4:04Speaker 1: my god, I feel so rejuvenated, so rested. I think
- 4:07Speaker 1: that's why when I first walked in here this morning, Game,
- 4:10Speaker 1: I was acting all weird and silly. It's because I'm
- 4:13Speaker 1: in a great movie.
- 4:15Speaker 2: You're well rested. Yes, I have the energy.
- 4:18Speaker 1: To be a weirdo. So that's my little victory.
- 4:21Speaker 2: What about you, Game, You have the energy to be
- 4:23Speaker 2: a weirdo?
- 4:24Speaker 6: Huh?
- 4:25Speaker 2: Or would it be like more.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Of a more of a weirdo? Yeah, then your tired version.
- 4:30Speaker 1: That's true. I've taken my weirdo to the next less
- 4:33Speaker 1: that's right.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Hey.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're gonna do something, you gotta do it
- 4:36Speaker 2: go all out.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I commit to the Okay, what's your little victory?
- 4:41Speaker 2: I have two little victories.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Last night I was watching the Minnesota Wild game when
- 4:44Speaker 3: we got home from unhinged, and they were leading the
- 4:47Speaker 3: way pretty much the whole game. And then Florida scores
- 4:50Speaker 3: with about a minute left to tie the game. And
- 4:53Speaker 3: I'm sitting there going, oh god, the Minnesota Wild going
- 4:55Speaker 3: into overtime again. What a shocker. And then the Minnesota
- 4:58Speaker 3: Wild scored with three seconds the game.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Oh that is really good.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Rory and I were laying in bed and they you know,
- 5:04Speaker 3: we're kind of doing the old phone talking to playing
- 5:07Speaker 3: on the phone, talking to the dog kind of more.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Just had the game on his background noise. Yeah, and
- 5:11Speaker 3: then they scored, and I was like, oh my god.
- 5:13Speaker 3: And of course Corey's tweaking out, like, well, well what happened? Well,
- 5:18Speaker 3: the Wild scored, They're about to win.
- 5:20Speaker 2: That was it.
- 5:21Speaker 3: My other little victory is I go on runs of
- 5:24Speaker 3: playing chess where I'll play a lot for a while
- 5:27Speaker 3: and then I kind of take a break and then
- 5:28Speaker 3: I'll play a lot. Well, I'm on a run of
- 5:31Speaker 3: playing some chess right now, and I want to try
- 5:35Speaker 3: to get to the goal of you want me to.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Turn this back up? Is did the computer stop up? Yeah?
- 5:39Speaker 1: Sorry, I don't know what happened.
- 5:40Speaker 2: No, it's all good. What a weird Fay.
- 5:43Speaker 3: I have the goal of getting a one thousand rated elo.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Long story short, When you play chess, you get a rating.
- 5:50Speaker 3: You know, when you beat good players, your rating goes up.
- 5:52Speaker 3: When you lose, it goes down. When you lose to
- 5:54Speaker 3: bad players, it really goes down. But I would like
- 5:57Speaker 3: to try to get to one thousand, which is not
- 6:00Speaker 3: crazy good by any stretch. Well, it's definitely better than
- 6:03Speaker 3: the average person. And I want to see if I
- 6:04Speaker 3: can try to get to one thousand. I'm gonna really commit,
- 6:07Speaker 3: and I've started studying like openings and just this is
- 6:11Speaker 3: mighty little strategies. Yes, I love, love, love playing chess. Okay,
- 6:15Speaker 3: so I'm gonna try.
- 6:16Speaker 1: My boyfriend Mikey is a huge chess player. Like, he
- 6:20Speaker 1: loves chess too. So you guys need to win. Me
- 6:22Speaker 1: and Corey go out to go to our own thing.
- 6:25Speaker 1: You and Mike, you need to get together to play
- 6:27Speaker 1: some chess.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll have to.
- 6:28Speaker 3: I've studied some openings and things like that, and really
- 6:32Speaker 3: I just like the brain puzzle of it. It's like
- 6:35Speaker 3: a brain workout playing chess. So I want to try
- 6:37Speaker 3: to commit to trying to get to one thousand, for example,
- 6:41Speaker 3: right now, I'm at about a five hundred and now, okay,
- 6:44Speaker 3: I've just kind of started. Yeah, you gotta kind of
- 6:46Speaker 3: climb the ranks, but I want to try to get
- 6:48Speaker 3: to a thousand, which there are some people listening who
- 6:51Speaker 3: go a thousand that ain't Jack Squad. But then there
- 6:54Speaker 3: are some people who could never even get to like
- 6:56Speaker 3: four hundred.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'm one of those people. I'm gonna stick to playing check.
- 7:00Speaker 2: There we go.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Now, I have to give a big shout out to
- 7:05Speaker 3: Stephanie who listens to Big ninety eight point seven and
- 7:08Speaker 3: sometimes she in the morning will send us nice photos
- 7:11Speaker 3: of the sunrise, and once in a while she'll send
- 7:13Speaker 3: us these headlines that you see and you're like, wow,
- 7:16Speaker 3: that's fake, okay, And it turns out that this is
- 7:20Speaker 3: a very real headline. Now, I'm not trying to make
- 7:26Speaker 3: fun of this person. That is not the point, okay,
- 7:28Speaker 3: But when you hear this, you're like, well, how is
- 7:30Speaker 3: that even possible?
- 7:32Speaker 1: Okay, So like a sensational headline, Well, the.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Guy's kind of a scumbag, so I don't feel that
- 7:38Speaker 3: bad kind of hating on him a little bit. A
- 7:41Speaker 3: quadruple amputee right, no arms, no legs, A quadruple amputee
- 7:47Speaker 3: corn Hole Champ accused of fatally shooting man while driving.
- 7:54Speaker 2: What now, this is a very real headline. This is
- 7:58Speaker 2: not fake at all.
- 7:59Speaker 1: That is incredible, incredible in like I cannot believe it.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that is a lot of moving parts for someone
- 8:08Speaker 3: who does not have arms or legs. I mean, there
- 8:10Speaker 3: is a lot going on in there. First off, how
- 8:13Speaker 3: does someone like that drive. I'm sure they have some
- 8:15Speaker 3: setup where they can still use their arms or whatever.
- 8:18Speaker 1: But they're definitely fake. To quote you, they're definitely facing
- 8:21Speaker 1: some adversities. Yeah, to be driving and then also operating
- 8:26Speaker 1: a firearm and just let's throw in by the way,
- 8:29Speaker 1: plays corn hole professionally.
- 8:31Speaker 2: What Yeah, there's a lot going on with this guy.
- 8:33Speaker 3: So well, of course we see that headline and we go, well,
- 8:36Speaker 3: that's not real, and you dive on in and that
- 8:38Speaker 3: is a very real headline that made the news. So, Angie,
- 8:42Speaker 3: I got a little game for you here today. I
- 8:43Speaker 3: have some headlines. Some of these are real and some
- 8:46Speaker 3: of these are fake. I think we've done something like
- 8:47Speaker 3: this before where I was the guessie, Yes today you are,
- 8:51Speaker 3: You're the guesser today guess Yeah, I was the guesser.
- 8:54Speaker 3: You're right today you're gonna be the guesser. Okay, okay,
- 8:57Speaker 3: are these headlines real or fake? Because I never thought
- 9:00Speaker 3: in my wildest dreams quadruple amputee cornhole champ accused of
- 9:04Speaker 3: fatally shooting man while driving would be something I would
- 9:07Speaker 3: ever see come across my news feed.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Thank you Stephanie for sending us.
- 9:10Speaker 3: That Angie kids make nutritious snacks.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Is this a real or fake headline?
- 9:17Speaker 1: It's real?
- 9:19Speaker 3: That is one hundred percent real. You are one for one, Angie.
- 9:22Speaker 3: What about prostitutes appeal to the Pope?
- 9:28Speaker 2: Is that a real or fake headline?
- 9:30Speaker 1: No, that's gotta be real.
- 9:31Speaker 2: That's real. Is it real? That is one hundred percent
- 9:35Speaker 2: a true, real, healthy Yes, I.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Knew it because the pulp he welcomes everyone.
- 9:40Speaker 2: That's right.
- 9:41Speaker 3: What about man trains for marathon and forgets to sign up.
- 9:49Speaker 2: This sounds like something a man would do.
- 9:51Speaker 1: By the way, think it's a real headline, but I
- 9:55Speaker 1: do think it's a true thing that happens.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Well, you probably are correct. Yes, that is a headline
- 10:02Speaker 3: I've made up. It is not real, but that has
- 10:05Speaker 3: probably been.
- 10:06Speaker 2: A thing somewhere.
- 10:07Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Okay, what about this Angie, I have just two more
- 10:09Speaker 3: for you. Scientists admit they're just guessing at this point.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Is that a real or fake headline? I think it's fake,
- 10:22Speaker 3: and you would be correct.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I made that up, by the way. I'm however, body
- 10:26Speaker 1: we done. I got them all right so far.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you're four or four?
- 10:29Speaker 3: I have one more for you here, World's most boring
- 10:33Speaker 3: man finally finishes telling story.
- 10:39Speaker 1: That's just me discussing a guy I dated.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Fake fake headline that is one hundred percent a fake headline.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Angie has gone five for five today.
- 10:51Speaker 3: And if you dive on into the original point of
- 10:54Speaker 3: this story, it it It obviously is kind of a
- 10:57Speaker 3: tragic thing. But there are all these videos come out
- 11:00Speaker 3: about this guy who can handle these firearms and what
- 11:03Speaker 3: have you. So we haven't dolved that far into it.
- 11:05Speaker 3: But when you see that headline, I mean, that is
- 11:07Speaker 3: an instant click for me.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I will say that I know I got those ones
- 11:12Speaker 1: right that you quizzed me on. If that headline would
- 11:15Speaker 1: have been in the quiz, I would have gotten it
- 11:17Speaker 1: right now.
- 11:20Speaker 3: And no one says life is easy, which is why
- 11:23Speaker 3: it's always worthwhile. I'd say to consider, you know, little
- 11:27Speaker 3: tricks of the trade on things that might just be
- 11:32Speaker 3: a little bit of a cheat code in.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Your adult life. You know, being an adult is hard.
- 11:35Speaker 3: You gotta sometimes wake up, put on your big girl pants,
- 11:37Speaker 3: your big boy pants, and handle that business.
- 11:41Speaker 1: It's the worst.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Well, I've found some of these cheat codes that people
- 11:47Speaker 3: say have actually changed their life. I have a handful
- 11:49Speaker 3: of them for you here, and these might actually help
- 11:52Speaker 3: you today, tomorrow, next week, next month, maybe the rest
- 11:55Speaker 3: of twenty twenty six. Good reminders for you, acting them
- 12:00Speaker 3: directly at you, per se. But I think you could
- 12:02Speaker 3: use some of these.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Bruh.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm struggle busting my way through life in twenty twenty six,
- 12:08Speaker 1: so I'll take all the cheat codes I can get.
- 12:10Speaker 2: All right, Well, here's a great one.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Realizing most people aren't thinking about you as much as
- 12:16Speaker 3: you think. It takes away a lot of unnecessary pressure.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Also a great cheat code.
- 12:21Speaker 1: What you're saying, it's not all about me, Gabe.
- 12:25Speaker 2: You know that is why I said you could probably
- 12:27Speaker 2: use some of these.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, no, that is true. Though. I heard
- 12:31Speaker 1: someone say this not that long ago, and it is
- 12:34Speaker 1: something I have to constantly tell myself, and I think
- 12:38Speaker 1: everybody is so thinking about me, not in that way.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I just am insecure about a lot of things, and
- 12:45Speaker 1: I have to tell myself, like nobody else cares. Nobody
- 12:48Speaker 1: else really, Yeah, you are the one that is concerned
- 12:51Speaker 1: with this, so I need to like rewire my brain.
- 12:53Speaker 1: But that's a good one.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:55Speaker 3: And if you have an adult cheat code that you
- 12:57Speaker 3: want to send us, let us know at seven oh
- 12:59Speaker 3: one you ate zero one nine eight seven. This was
- 13:03Speaker 3: another awesome I think adult cheat code that everybody knows
- 13:07Speaker 3: but not everybody does. Getting enough sleep and drinking enough water.
- 13:13Speaker 3: How much water have you had today since you've been awake.
- 13:15Speaker 3: It should be one of the first three things you
- 13:17Speaker 3: do every morning, other than maybe like go to the bathroom.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Getting enough sleep and drinking water. Getting enough sleep that's
- 13:25Speaker 1: a struggle for me. But I am trying drinking enough water.
- 13:28Speaker 1: The hallmark of who I am is being a hydrated huts.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I am always hydrated. I'm always telling my kids to
- 13:36Speaker 1: drink more water. I'm always telling Mikey he needs to
- 13:38Speaker 1: drink more water. Like that is very important to me.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I like when I look over and I see you
- 13:43Speaker 1: take a swig of your water bottle.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I don't like that.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Brings me joy.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I don't even really take swigs though, I just drink
- 13:50Speaker 2: half the thing.
- 13:50Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I like that there, that makes me happy. Hydration is
- 13:55Speaker 1: weirdly important to me, but it is important.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Here's a great one if you.
- 14:00Speaker 6: If you.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Are one of those people who always says yes to
- 14:04Speaker 3: doing stuff, and you're like, I really got to be
- 14:06Speaker 3: better about not just immediately saying yes, I'll do that
- 14:09Speaker 3: all right, saying let me check my calendar instead of
- 14:14Speaker 3: immediately saying yes, I'll do this all right. It buys
- 14:17Speaker 3: you time and I think most people respect it. If
- 14:20Speaker 3: you don't want to do something, you can say sorry,
- 14:23Speaker 3: I have plans. You really don't have to say more.
- 14:25Speaker 3: That's something, hubbies. Here's your cheat code. Okay, for ladies,
- 14:29Speaker 3: you're likely keeping track of the calendar. Guys don't really
- 14:31Speaker 3: do the calendar. I'm telling you right now, fellas, this
- 14:34Speaker 3: is how our version of that.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Okay, let me check with my wife.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that is a cheak awesome.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Cheat code could potentially get you out of anything.
- 14:43Speaker 4: You know.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I used let me ask my mom for so many
- 14:47Speaker 1: years to get out of everything.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Yeah. I have one more for you here.
- 14:50Speaker 3: This's a great thing to just remember in twenty twenty six,
- 14:53Speaker 3: and you've probably heard something like this before. But if
- 14:56Speaker 3: you exercise daily, even a little bit, you actually don't
- 15:01Speaker 3: feel as old as you are. So even if you
- 15:04Speaker 3: just take the dog for a walk, or you play
- 15:06Speaker 3: with the kids in the backyard, or you do the
- 15:08Speaker 3: ten minute fifteen minute YouTube workout video in the living room, yeah,
- 15:12Speaker 3: you won't feel that big age of mid thirties.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Like Angie and I, you know what.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Every time you mentioned our ages. No, but this is
- 15:20Speaker 1: a good hack. Mikey my guy, he's sixty and he
- 15:23Speaker 1: definitely does not feel six.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Yeah exactly, he told me. And he bikes and walks
- 15:27Speaker 3: and does all the yeahful things. Yeah, so even a
- 15:30Speaker 3: tiny little exercise you might not wake up and feel
- 15:33Speaker 3: as old as that number.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Tell me.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Have you ever donated a gift or given a gift
- 15:50Speaker 3: to someone and you were like I don't need this
- 15:52Speaker 3: and a couple days later you were like, Wow, I
- 15:55Speaker 3: really could use that air fryer.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I want it back eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Angie, what did you gift that you were like, Eh,
- 16:05Speaker 3: how attached to that?
- 16:06Speaker 1: It's always clothes for me? Between me, this is gonna
- 16:09Speaker 1: sound weird. Between me, and my mom. Okay, my mom
- 16:13Speaker 1: and I we are about the same size. And so
- 16:16Speaker 1: whenever I go visit, I'll take something of hers and
- 16:20Speaker 1: she'll take something of mine.
- 16:22Speaker 2: We'll swap a round.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I will swap a roo. But then go visit again.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I don't want to give back the thing that she
- 16:28Speaker 1: gave me. And then I'm also like, and then can
- 16:30Speaker 1: I have that top back?
- 16:32Speaker 2: Which is so rude.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'm rude, but I feel safe because like it's my mom,
- 16:38Speaker 1: and so she always says yes, yeah, there's I feel guilty.
- 16:41Speaker 3: There's nothing worse than when you give someone something and
- 16:44Speaker 3: you're like, actually, yeah, I kind of need that. That
- 16:48Speaker 3: happened to me in college. And speaking of air fryer,
- 16:50Speaker 3: I did like give a buddy an air fryer. I
- 16:53Speaker 3: wasn't really using it, and he was like, oh, dude,
- 16:55Speaker 3: can I just keep this at my house? And of
- 16:56Speaker 3: course I was like, yeah, I'm a nice guy. Sure,
- 16:59Speaker 3: if I ever need it, maybe I'll just run over
- 17:01Speaker 3: and whatever. And a couple of days later, I was like,
- 17:03Speaker 3: I need this airfire back. I'm gonna die. I don't
- 17:06Speaker 3: know how to make these chicken nuggets. How will I survive?
- 17:08Speaker 3: So wow, I did have to ask.
- 17:10Speaker 2: For it back.
- 17:10Speaker 3: He was very cool about it, though, he was like,
- 17:13Speaker 3: I haven't really used it as much as I thought, like,
- 17:15Speaker 3: I'll just go buy one.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:16Speaker 3: It all worked out and I did post this on
- 17:19Speaker 3: the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page and Holly said, yes,
- 17:24Speaker 3: my trust.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 17:25Speaker 3: I realized that they never should have had it. My bad,
- 17:29Speaker 3: and that is true. Give someone your trust and then
- 17:31Speaker 3: all of a sudden you're like, yeah, I'm gonna go
- 17:33Speaker 3: ahead and snatch that back from you.
- 17:35Speaker 1: It's usually that they shattered it before they can.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true. We do have Seth, Seth, what did
- 17:41Speaker 3: you have to ask for back?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Man?
- 17:43Speaker 7: I was about twenty one. I was working for Amazon
- 17:46Speaker 7: as a delivery driver and I ended up finding this
- 17:49Speaker 7: sweet little stray kitten. Her name's Angel.
- 17:52Speaker 4: I took care of her for about two years.
- 17:54Speaker 7: And then I decided to move out of my parent's house.
- 17:57Speaker 7: After moving out of my parent's house, need a homer.
- 18:01Speaker 7: I reached out to my cousin and they said yes.
- 18:04Speaker 7: About half a year goes by and I reached back
- 18:08Speaker 7: out to my cousin saying, hey, can I have my
- 18:12Speaker 7: cat back?
- 18:13Speaker 6: What?
- 18:13Speaker 7: And she I was already spent about six hundred dollars
- 18:17Speaker 7: on just cat and cat supplies and food, so I
- 18:24Speaker 7: uh offered to pay her back, but I had to
- 18:26Speaker 7: drive all the way out to Tennessee to pick her
- 18:28Speaker 7: back up so I could get my cat back.
- 18:30Speaker 1: If that's crazy that you got the cat back. If
- 18:33Speaker 1: I were the cousin, I would have been no to bad.
- 18:35Speaker 3: That's my cat. Now I'm abash to this thing. Seven
- 18:38Speaker 3: oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven. Is
- 18:40Speaker 3: there a gift you've ever given or donated and you
- 18:44Speaker 3: had to have the old awkward?
- 18:45Speaker 2: Yeah? Could I have that back? Please? This is am
- 18:51Speaker 2: I the problem? It's me hill On the problem.
- 18:56Speaker 1: It's me.
- 18:57Speaker 5: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help,
- 19:00Speaker 5: am I the problem with you? Decide if it's right
- 19:02Speaker 5: or if maybe you're the problem.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I'm hardly the problem. On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I chose this one because I feel like you could
- 19:11Speaker 1: really speak to it, Gabe, So Chrissy wrote into us, Hi,
- 19:15Speaker 1: this is Chrissy. I'm not sure if you'll see this
- 19:17Speaker 1: or think it's stupid, but am I the problem for
- 19:20Speaker 1: getting mad when people use my full name instead of
- 19:23Speaker 1: my nickname? My full name is Crystal, but I want
- 19:26Speaker 1: to be called Chrissy, and I always introduce myself that way.
- 19:30Speaker 1: But sometimes when people learn my government name is Crystal,
- 19:34Speaker 1: they call me that. I always get irritated and correct them.
- 19:38Speaker 1: But my friends are starting to say.
- 19:40Speaker 2: That I'm being realed.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Am I So your name is your government name is Gabriel.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Correct, that's right, just like that angel.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, no, wonder we call you Gabe instead of Gabriel.
- 19:53Speaker 1: But if somebody you introduce yourself as Gabe. So if
- 19:57Speaker 1: somebody finds out that it's short for Gabriel and they
- 20:00Speaker 1: start calling you Gabriel, do you get mad?
- 20:02Speaker 2: No, I think it'd be so bad as Oh, so.
- 20:05Speaker 1: You would prefer to be called Gabriel.
- 20:06Speaker 3: No, I'm indifferent, but I do think it'd be cool.
- 20:09Speaker 3: For example, right, I use Gabe all the time. That's
- 20:12Speaker 3: how I introduce myself. If someone hit me with like,
- 20:14Speaker 3: what's up, Gabriel, I think it's kind of cool when
- 20:17Speaker 3: I go through a drive through, and not to kind
- 20:20Speaker 3: of make this a me thing here, but when I
- 20:22Speaker 3: go through like a drive through, or I'm in a
- 20:24Speaker 3: crowded room and I say, hey, nice to meet you,
- 20:27Speaker 3: I'm Gabe, right, yeah, and it's loud or it's tough
- 20:31Speaker 3: to hear the response I get all. I mean, nine
- 20:34Speaker 3: times out of ten, yeah, is Dave d A So
- 20:39Speaker 3: often I'll have to be like, no, it's Gabriel. It's
- 20:43Speaker 3: easier to kind of differentiate the two, you know, if
- 20:46Speaker 3: I'm going through the drive through in the megaphone thing
- 20:48Speaker 3: and they're like, oh, what's the name on the order? Oh, Gabe,
- 20:51Speaker 3: They're like, oh, Dave. And sometimes I'm just like, yeah, whatever,
- 20:54Speaker 3: and I'll just go up and be Dave.
- 20:56Speaker 1: If you ever see Gabe call him Dave.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it happens all the time.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Seven one two, eight oh one to nine eight seven.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Do you think Chrissy, I'm gonna call you Chrissy because
- 21:05Speaker 1: that's what you asked for. Do you think Chrissy is
- 21:08Speaker 1: making too big of a deal about the fact that
- 21:09Speaker 1: sometimes people decide to call her Crystal. You don't think
- 21:12Speaker 1: it's that big a deal.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I think it depends.
- 21:14Speaker 3: You know, have people been calling you Crystal forever and
- 21:17Speaker 3: now you're saying, hey, can I be Chrissy?
- 21:20Speaker 7: Now?
- 21:20Speaker 3: You got to there's a little grace period you gotta
- 21:22Speaker 3: give people used to calling you this new name. You
- 21:25Speaker 3: want to be called or uh is do you have
- 21:28Speaker 3: another friend whose name's Chrissy and they're just trying to
- 21:32Speaker 3: differentiate the tear.
- 21:33Speaker 1: You're so nice A lot of times you try to
- 21:34Speaker 1: give people the benefit of the tell. And I'm gonna
- 21:37Speaker 1: say right now, Chrissy, I am team Chrissy all the way.
- 21:40Speaker 1: If you introduce yourself as Chrissy, then that's what people
- 21:43Speaker 1: should call you. My name, I don't have a nickname.
- 21:46Speaker 1: My name is a nickname, so I'm Angie. But it
- 21:48Speaker 1: is not short for anything. It is just Angie. And
- 21:52Speaker 1: because Angie is typically short for Angela, sometimes even though
- 21:56Speaker 1: I've never introduced myself that way, because it's not my name,
- 21:58Speaker 1: I will say, uh, someone will say to me, okay,
- 22:02Speaker 1: well Angela, and I'm like, that's not my name. That's
- 22:04Speaker 1: not my name. I never said it was my name.
- 22:06Speaker 1: And even if it was Angela, when I introduced myself,
- 22:10Speaker 1: I said, my name is Angie. I'll tell you this too.
- 22:14Speaker 1: When I was signing up for cast Rural Water District
- 22:17Speaker 1: usage like a big bill, Yeah, I filled in the
- 22:21Speaker 1: information Angie Morales.
- 22:24Speaker 2: And you got the bill.
- 22:25Speaker 1: My bill says Angela Morales. So does that mean if
- 22:28Speaker 1: I just stop paying it. I'm not liable because that
- 22:31Speaker 1: ain't me.
- 22:31Speaker 3: That's kind of funny. Yeah, all right, what would you
- 22:33Speaker 3: do here? Seven h one two eight zero one nine
- 22:36Speaker 3: eight seven. And in the most dude way of thinking,
- 22:39Speaker 3: of course, I'm like, well, here's a problem solving thing.
- 22:41Speaker 2: You know, every guy on.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Her I know, I hate that about you and Mike.
- 22:44Speaker 3: But I guess if someone was called and she wants
- 22:47Speaker 3: to be called Chrissy, if someone's calling her Crystal, she
- 22:49Speaker 3: could I guess just like ignore that person until they
- 22:52Speaker 3: that's kind of you.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Yeah, what would you do? Or what do you think?
- 22:55Speaker 2: Is this way blown over over the top?
- 22:57Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 22:57Speaker 2: Or does she have a point here? Let us know?
- 22:59Speaker 3: This morning on Bigy eight point seven, The Problem.
- 23:06Speaker 1: With Chrissy wrote in asking if she's the problem for
- 23:10Speaker 1: correcting people every time they decide to call her by
- 23:14Speaker 1: her full government name, Crystal because she prefers to be
- 23:18Speaker 1: called Chrissy. I am team Chrissy. I would correct people
- 23:23Speaker 1: all the time. Gabe is a little bit more lax
- 23:25Speaker 1: and kind as someone whose name is Gabriel. But you
- 23:30Speaker 1: are called Gabe. You don't really care if someone calls
- 23:32Speaker 1: you Gabriel.
- 23:33Speaker 2: No, I think it'd be I think it would be
- 23:36Speaker 2: kind of bad haste.
- 23:37Speaker 3: To be honest, if I was, you know, walking on
- 23:40Speaker 3: into Unhinged or something, and across the Unhinged.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Bar someone's like, what up, Gabriel, I'd be like, oh.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Wow, why you know my government?
- 23:48Speaker 2: How do you know that? That's kind of cool.
- 23:50Speaker 1: We did also post this on Facebook and Taran said, Nope,
- 23:55Speaker 1: not the problem. Correct them. As often as it takes
- 23:58Speaker 1: people deserve to be called what they want, it should
- 24:00Speaker 1: be basic courtesy. In my opinion, I agree with your
- 24:05Speaker 1: opinion too.
- 24:05Speaker 3: And Christy's not wrong for telling people what she wants
- 24:09Speaker 3: her name to be. Yeah, you know, I mean I
- 24:12Speaker 3: think it's It's also kind of stupid if someone says
- 24:15Speaker 3: my name is Gabe and they're like, well, no, I'm
- 24:17Speaker 3: just gonna call you Gabriel.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I think that's rude.
- 24:20Speaker 1: It is rude. She says in her thing that her
- 24:23Speaker 1: friends are starting to say that she's rude. I wonder
- 24:26Speaker 1: if it's just the way Chrissy is saying no, it's Chrissy,
- 24:32Speaker 1: because it feels like maybe it's happened so often that
- 24:35Speaker 1: by the time she hits whatever person that has called
- 24:38Speaker 1: her Crystal, maybe she sounds a little more annoyed than
- 24:42Speaker 1: maybe she would have the first few times it happened.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Maybe they're just poking the bear and having fun now
- 24:46Speaker 2: at this.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Point, So, okay, you did it call her Crystal?
- 24:50Speaker 2: What the email from Crystal today? Yeah?
- 24:53Speaker 1: No, I feel bad.
- 24:54Speaker 3: It's Crissy and on Big ninety eight point seven it's
- 24:56Speaker 3: Gabe and Angela.
- 25:00Speaker 6: Chaire.
- 25:00Speaker 4: You.
- 25:02Speaker 3: We do have someone who texted us who said, my
- 25:04Speaker 3: name is Christine. I go by Chris or Chrissy, but
- 25:08Speaker 3: never Christie. I liked that name, and my mother in
- 25:12Speaker 3: law has a variation of that name. So if you
- 25:14Speaker 3: ran into Chris or Chrissy but never Christy, hopefully you
- 25:20Speaker 3: get that one right.
- 25:20Speaker 2: There's way too many versions of that there, really is.
- 25:23Speaker 3: I would lose track for sure if we were hanging out.
- 25:26Speaker 3: It is kind of an interesting topic. Are there grander
- 25:29Speaker 3: things to maybe care about or be worried about in
- 25:31Speaker 3: the world.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:33Speaker 3: Probably, But as getting someone's name correct, that hard. No, right, No,
- 25:38Speaker 3: it's not.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Seven h one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 25:41Speaker 3: It'll be fun. By the way, later on in the day,
- 25:43Speaker 3: when I'm at home and it's like two in the
- 25:45Speaker 3: afternoon and I go read through all the comments for
- 25:47Speaker 3: am I the problem? It is kind of fun to
- 25:49Speaker 3: watch the twists and turns that these have on our
- 25:53Speaker 3: big ninety eight point seven Facebook page. So if you're
- 25:55Speaker 3: bored on your lunch break today and you need a
- 25:57Speaker 3: little two minute social media entertainment, check it out.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Yeah. I like that too, because sometimes whatever I said
- 26:03Speaker 1: during the morning show, when I go through the comments after,
- 26:07Speaker 1: I'm like, wait a minute, am I doing a one
- 26:09Speaker 1: eighty on my staff?
- 26:16Speaker 3: There is a man who just won one point two
- 26:21Speaker 3: million or one point three excuse me, one point three
- 26:24Speaker 3: million dollars And what had happened was he was digging
- 26:28Speaker 3: through his parents' old house and his dad, who was
- 26:30Speaker 3: not around anymore, he found this old book of his
- 26:34Speaker 3: like a journal, okay, and in this journal he had
- 26:36Speaker 3: talked about using these numbers to play the lottery. It
- 26:39Speaker 3: was just something he jotted down one day. So this
- 26:42Speaker 3: son decided to go take these numbers and use him
- 26:45Speaker 3: for the lottery, and of course that is how he won.
- 26:48Speaker 3: He said he was using those Yeah, he used the
- 26:50Speaker 3: numbers as just a way to kind of connect with
- 26:52Speaker 3: his dad a little bit, and it led him to
- 26:54Speaker 3: win one point three million dollars.
- 26:58Speaker 1: That is a crazy You know what, truth is stranger
- 27:01Speaker 1: than fiction. I always believe.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Yeah, and so we wanted to know this morning. Do
- 27:06Speaker 3: you have a lucky charm?
- 27:07Speaker 1: Now?
- 27:08Speaker 3: I'm not trying to be too cool here, I promise,
- 27:10Speaker 3: but I'm not a big, necessarily luck person. I guess
- 27:14Speaker 3: my lucky charm is I just to tell people I'm lucky.
- 27:18Speaker 1: You manifest it.
- 27:19Speaker 2: I say a lot of times, like, yeah, things just
- 27:21Speaker 2: kind of work out for me. You do say that.
- 27:23Speaker 2: I say that all the time.
- 27:25Speaker 3: So I guess that would be my version of trying
- 27:28Speaker 3: to create luck or making my own luck. But no,
- 27:31Speaker 3: I don't have something that I put in my pocket
- 27:33Speaker 3: and carry around every day and I'm like, this is
- 27:35Speaker 3: my lucky pen And there's nothing wrong. If you do
- 27:38Speaker 3: have one of those, I just that's not exactly how
- 27:40Speaker 3: I go about it. But if you have an item
- 27:43Speaker 3: or something that you think is lucky, what is it?
- 27:45Speaker 2: What's the story behind it?
- 27:46Speaker 3: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven, Angie,
- 27:49Speaker 3: do you have some type of lucky item?
- 27:51Speaker 1: I do. I have this little red envelope with a
- 27:55Speaker 1: two dollars bill in it from Chinese New Year the
- 27:58Speaker 1: very first time we ever celebrated it with my sister
- 28:00Speaker 1: in law who is Chinese, and gosh, maybe this was
- 28:05Speaker 1: fifteen years ago really, and I always carry it with
- 28:08Speaker 1: me in my wallet. I don't know that. I feel
- 28:11Speaker 1: like my life just always kind of works out. Yeah,
- 28:14Speaker 1: And in my head, I'm like, it's because i'd be
- 28:17Speaker 1: carrying that little red envelow.
- 28:19Speaker 2: You'll put to a dollar bill. That's exactly right.
- 28:21Speaker 1: And if times get really really tough, I always have
- 28:24Speaker 1: a two dollars bill to spend.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you'll always be able to get some chips or
- 28:28Speaker 3: something from the vending machine. Uh seven zero one two
- 28:30Speaker 3: eight zero one nine eight seven? What is your lucky item?
- 28:35Speaker 3: A Sandra?
- 28:36Speaker 1: I scratched up poker chip from a random night in
- 28:38Speaker 1: Atlantic City.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I want big that night, but you know, I kept
- 28:41Speaker 2: the chip instead of catching.
- 28:42Speaker 6: It, and now I carry it anytime I feel like
- 28:45Speaker 6: I need a little what shit.
- 28:46Speaker 3: I like that anytime you go out, maybe you win
- 28:48Speaker 3: big or something really cool happens, and you have this
- 28:51Speaker 3: item that you could turn in or get cash back
- 28:54Speaker 3: or whatever, and you decide to just hang on to it.
- 28:56Speaker 2: I think that's kind of fun.
- 28:57Speaker 1: I like it only if the chip wasn't worth that.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Yeah, the chip better be like a five dollars chip
- 29:03Speaker 3: or something.
- 29:04Speaker 2: All right, what about you, Corbyn? Yeah, I have a
- 29:06Speaker 2: coin that my grandfather gave me.
- 29:07Speaker 3: It's a silver dollar, and I think it was me
- 29:09Speaker 3: wherever I go.
- 29:10Speaker 2: It's like my lucky charm.
- 29:11Speaker 4: But it's also my connection with my grandfather, so I
- 29:15Speaker 4: fealing with me whenever I carry the coin around.
- 29:17Speaker 2: That's very cute.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I bet there's a lot of items that people have
- 29:19Speaker 3: like that, like, oh, my grandma gave this to me.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I've always wanted to be someone who had but my
- 29:25Speaker 1: grandparents lived far away in Cuba and they did not
- 29:28Speaker 1: send me any coins to take with me. But I
- 29:31Speaker 1: think that's really sweet. With all the silver dollar for
- 29:34Speaker 1: my grandpa.
- 29:35Speaker 3: I wish I always wanted an item like that too,
- 29:37Speaker 3: But for me, I don't really have any. I know,
- 29:38Speaker 3: I have some of my grand and this is so
- 29:41Speaker 3: funny because I do wear these in the summer, but
- 29:43Speaker 3: they're like boat shoes kind of mm hmm. My grandpa
- 29:46Speaker 3: had a pair and I was digging around in his
- 29:48Speaker 3: closet once, and I was a full adult. I wasn't like, well,
- 29:51Speaker 3: I was kind of young, I guess, but I was
- 29:52Speaker 3: old enough to know what I was doing. Yeah, And
- 29:54Speaker 3: I just walked out with the most confidence you could have.
- 29:57Speaker 3: And I was like, Grandpa, can I have these? And
- 29:59Speaker 3: my Amma said sure, yeah, so I took them. Okay, Well,
- 30:03Speaker 3: you have a daughter on the way, that's right.
- 30:06Speaker 1: What are you gonna pass down to You have to
- 30:08Speaker 1: find something to pass down to her that's gonna be
- 30:11Speaker 1: like her lucky chime.
- 30:12Speaker 3: It'll be a golf club so that she can join
- 30:14Speaker 3: the LPGA and I can retire early caddying.
- 30:17Speaker 1: You want something to be lucky for.
- 30:18Speaker 2: You, exactly.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I need some good.
- 30:26Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 30:29Speaker 5: good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 30:33Speaker 3: A twenty year old North Dakota State University student, Ava
- 30:37Speaker 3: Ebling is balancing a full college workload with nineteen credits
- 30:43Speaker 3: and running two businesses and working two part time jobs.
- 30:47Speaker 3: She creates pottery sold through Rush River Candle Co, calling
- 30:51Speaker 3: it an unreal feeling to see people love her work,
- 30:54Speaker 3: and she also runs a growing charcooterie business with bougie boards.
- 30:59Speaker 6: That's an unreh feel. I'm just so grateful that people
- 31:02Speaker 6: are willing to help me take the next step. It's
- 31:06Speaker 6: super cool to feel people like love my work as
- 31:08Speaker 6: much as I do. Maybe this is something people want.
- 31:10Speaker 6: And then each year it's just kind of continued to grow.
- 31:13Speaker 6: So this past year I had about sixty boards and
- 31:16Speaker 6: the span of two to three weeks.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Isn't that incredible?

- 31:26Speaker 3: embraces the hustle. She's added, I like having the constant grind.
- 31:31Speaker 3: I can't be bored. And you know what, when sometimes
- 31:34Speaker 3: you do run out of time in a day, you're like,

- 31:47Speaker 3: mindset around it a little bit.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Now.

- 31:51Speaker 3: we definitely emphasize that here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 31:55Speaker 3: But it is incredible to see a twenty year old
- 31:57Speaker 3: accomplishing all of these things and good for her. You
- 32:00Speaker 3: know my favorite quote I end the show with this,
- 32:02Speaker 3: every day broken crans, They still color and the world
- 32:05Speaker 3: is full of nice people.
- 32:05Speaker 2: If you can't find one. You gotta be one.
