- 1:23Speaker 6: the stock market and old boy that was watching the
- 1:25Speaker 6: All Star Game last night. Anybody working today, it's a
- 1:29Speaker 6: national holiday. Everybody looking for some reason, you know, I
- 1:34Speaker 6: went back by McDonald There were two people there, even
- 1:37Speaker 6: to McDonald only two people working.
- 1:40Speaker 2: The lady took my order and then went back there
- 1:42Speaker 2: and cook it. Pull up front, sir, I said.
- 1:44Speaker 6: Man, McDonald's ain't got but two workers on just how
- 1:47Speaker 6: it goes nowadays.
- 1:49Speaker 2: But the crew is here and we are ready to go.
- 1:52Speaker 6: Comanch you, Grega in the building, Bick Kenny, the funny
- 1:54Speaker 6: man himself, and the bad producer with a came yo
- 1:58Speaker 6: kind of like Raphaelza did it just popped up Raphael
- 2:02Speaker 6: Tony Tony.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I was like, where's Tony and Tony Tony?
- 2:08Speaker 6: They can't get no long got the one to just
- 2:10Speaker 6: one tone, and I ain't heard nothing about nobody dying,
- 2:14Speaker 6: So it was just where are the other two members
- 2:16Speaker 6: of Tony Tony Tony. They're in a group called Anthony,
- 2:22Speaker 6: Anthony and Antonio, but they actually like they're not They
- 2:28Speaker 6: were gonna get back together.
- 2:30Speaker 7: I read the they we're gonna get back together, and
- 2:32Speaker 7: then they scrapped the whole thing so.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Well they were ever gonna get back together.
- 2:37Speaker 6: The NBA All Star performance definitely would have been a
- 2:40Speaker 6: time to start getting the.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Ratings back up.
- 2:43Speaker 6: It feels good, right, that's what they tell you. That's
- 2:46Speaker 6: what they tell you, just to keep you on the hook. No,
- 2:48Speaker 6: we're gonna be together because Raphael was Raphael the only
- 2:52Speaker 6: one from the Bay Area. No, they three of them,
- 2:57Speaker 6: Raphael and another one was our cousins. Yeah, in the
- 3:03Speaker 6: Bay Area, in the Bay Area. And that's why I
- 3:06Speaker 6: was thinking what happened to the other Tonies? And then
- 3:08Speaker 6: I kept thinking it is Oakland. They could have got
- 3:10Speaker 6: robbed on the way to the No, I'm not talking
- 3:14Speaker 6: bad about I'm telling you what's in the media. I
- 3:17Speaker 6: know when you have restaurants and Starbucks and Carls Junior
- 3:21Speaker 6: and places telling you, look, man, we ain't gonna even
- 3:24Speaker 6: sell no sandwiches here. They got restaurants and stores closing
- 3:29Speaker 6: in Oakland because they've been robbed too much. They tell
- 3:34Speaker 6: the robbery that is that you're getting robbed that much,
- 3:36Speaker 6: like we we don't even We're gonna do you the
- 3:40Speaker 6: customer a favor and shut down because because you keep coming.
- 3:45Speaker 6: Come on now, it's like you keep robbing here, you
- 3:48Speaker 6: keep coming. We keep saying, hey, man, don't come, we
- 3:51Speaker 6: put up the bars.
- 3:52Speaker 2: We got a off duty security guy, come on now.
- 3:56Speaker 6: There's a lot of robbery for you just to decide,
- 3:58Speaker 6: let's shut this down there. That's that means almost weekly.
- 4:02Speaker 6: You'll almost be robbing us weekly, daily, times a.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Week, one time, two times a year insurance pol that's
- 4:10Speaker 2: the cost of doing business.
- 4:12Speaker 6: When they asked you, how many robbery do you want
- 4:14Speaker 6: to sign you you circled okay fur to get that rate.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah in this area and then went up to two
- 4:21Speaker 2: and c. We did do it.
- 4:24Speaker 6: But when you on some circle four and up to
- 4:27Speaker 6: nineteen robbery, we're going to this down. But the All
- 4:30Speaker 6: Star Game once again took place. I did see on Friday,
- 4:37Speaker 6: as I said, or Saturday, excuse me. I did record
- 4:40Speaker 6: the three point contests and I saw the dunk contest.
- 4:44Speaker 6: What I would love to see about the dunk cast
- 4:45Speaker 6: and Mac McClung. First of all, who's a g leaguer,
- 4:48Speaker 6: So I still don't get that part where we're not
- 4:54Speaker 6: actually using NBA official on NBA teams. But what I
- 5:00Speaker 6: would like to see, if you could satisfy me as
- 5:03Speaker 6: a viewer, I would like to see at least one
- 5:09Speaker 6: of your dunks more as an in game dunk a
- 5:16Speaker 6: regulation like you were in a game and you not
- 5:21Speaker 6: a trick dunk, but an actual dunk, like you know,
- 5:26Speaker 6: even if it's the one where somebody else comes out there,
- 5:29Speaker 6: you bring another person and he passes you the ball
- 5:32Speaker 6: something that would look like it was in a game.
- 5:35Speaker 6: Whatever you do, whatever you come up with in that minute,
- 5:40Speaker 6: in that second of getting the ball, because that's creativity.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Some of that stuff like Mac is doing, kind of
- 5:48Speaker 6: borderlines into halftime entertainment at a game. The tricks that
- 5:55Speaker 6: people do at halftime. You know, you he could take
- 6:00Speaker 6: that on the role.
- 6:01Speaker 8: Don't get to come out no more than he got
- 6:04Speaker 8: the mascots, remember my man, Like you're talking about the
- 6:07Speaker 8: jumping into the hawk got what was his name that
- 6:09Speaker 8: got hurt the sky Hawk.
- 6:10Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I'm saying, you know how at halftime, they
- 6:13Speaker 6: bring the dogs to catch the frisbee, they bring.
- 6:16Speaker 2: The fat guys out, Yes, they bring somebody. They swirls
- 6:21Speaker 2: some stuff.
- 6:23Speaker 6: Mac does that kind of stuff that at halftime, you
- 6:27Speaker 6: could bring him out and let him do a four
- 6:30Speaker 6: or five minute routine of different stuff in an entertainment factor.
- 6:35Speaker 6: And I'm not knocking the young man creativity. So this
- 6:39Speaker 6: is not take him away from it. It's just that
- 6:42Speaker 6: none of those dunks said through a basketball dunk.
- 6:49Speaker 2: They were all more trick.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Dunks kind of whereas the kid, the little young rookie
- 6:56Speaker 6: from San Antonio Castle, most of his dunks were something
- 7:01Speaker 6: more of how the dunk contest was created, where you
- 7:06Speaker 6: just kind of dunk.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Whatever you can do in.
- 7:08Speaker 8: The air was about the power what you were doing
- 7:12Speaker 8: off the.
- 7:14Speaker 2: While you're in the air.
- 7:16Speaker 9: Now, sports shock, you just said like the dunk contest
- 7:20Speaker 9: was originally created. Do you think that that is part
- 7:23Speaker 9: and parcel of what the All Star Game struggles with
- 7:27Speaker 9: forever now?
- 7:28Speaker 2: Is that we want.
- 7:29Speaker 6: To see it like it used to be, because now
- 7:32Speaker 6: it don't look nothing like the game I remember, it
- 7:35Speaker 6: doesn't look anything like the event.
- 7:37Speaker 2: That they used to sell my generation.
- 7:40Speaker 9: So do you do you think that's what maybe we
- 7:43Speaker 9: should just come forward or they're doing too much?
- 7:46Speaker 6: What I think all sports, the greed is starting to
- 7:51Speaker 6: tamper with the product. We're finally reaching the level where
- 7:57Speaker 6: greed is starting to dictate everything. You could even see
- 8:00Speaker 6: it in the players faces almost like another break, like
- 8:05Speaker 6: we're taking another commercial break like that, another advertising a
- 8:11Speaker 6: roll there, banner out here, you got another Kia, we
- 8:14Speaker 6: got at and T you got to give out a Trophy,
- 8:17Speaker 6: we got, the Scouts of America got a you know,
- 8:20Speaker 6: it's like they kept rolling out to where it's like
- 8:25Speaker 6: you forget even think about the Super Bowl, between.
- 8:28Speaker 2: The controversy of.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Tom Brady doing the game, Travis and Taylor, Bill Belichick
- 8:39Speaker 6: and his girlfriend, who's going to do the halftime show,
- 8:43Speaker 6: who's singing the national anthem? Who's singing the black national anthem?
- 8:48Speaker 6: You forgot what happened.
- 8:49Speaker 2: In the game. You do know, Philly one, Yeah, but you.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Don't have a detailed idea of how the game went
- 8:55Speaker 6: because it's so much more who was in this commercial?
- 9:00Speaker 2: You're almost distracted by the other stuff.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Bick Kenny, Yeah, and this is you know, I'm always
- 9:07Speaker 6: chicken or the egg?
- 9:09Speaker 2: Are we just? Are we so obsessed?
- 9:13Speaker 9: Are we so conditioned with because with social media, every
- 9:18Speaker 9: other image that you see on your timeline is an
- 9:22Speaker 9: ad and I think that a lot of us have
- 9:25Speaker 9: gotten conditioned. A lot of society it doesn't even notice
- 9:30Speaker 9: that level of advertising anymore because to you it seems
- 9:34Speaker 9: not only excessive, but overwhelming. To the average viewer, this
- 9:40Speaker 9: is just TV now, this is streaming, this is everything,
- 9:44Speaker 9: And for me, it's maddening because I want to see
- 9:47Speaker 9: you pass the ball to somebody who shoots the ball
- 9:50Speaker 9: into the hoop and then somebody hustles back down and
- 9:53Speaker 9: get on a little bit of deep.
- 9:54Speaker 6: I was watching Connectic ukon Women Place, South Carolina yesterday.
- 10:00Speaker 6: It was a good game, great atmosphere, YUKHN met the
- 10:04Speaker 6: challenge and won, but it was more of like they
- 10:08Speaker 6: play at a tempo and the game is facilitated to
- 10:13Speaker 6: where once is on, you have to watch we ain't
- 10:18Speaker 6: gonna break, coach ain't gonna call. It's just you think
- 10:21Speaker 6: you're watching a European game, like, hey they got they
- 10:25Speaker 6: just go next thing. You know, it's two minutes left
- 10:29Speaker 6: in the first quarter and you be sitting there. I
- 10:32Speaker 6: find myself like, oh okay, it's supposed to be a
- 10:34Speaker 6: time out. Nope, and they get.
- 10:37Speaker 7: You know, like the with all the breaks, those are
- 10:40Speaker 7: media timeouts. That's not the teams calling the timeout.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Correct.
- 10:43Speaker 6: So once you pull the media timeouts out, the game goals.
- 10:47Speaker 6: And now I think it's just so the entertainment part
- 10:51Speaker 6: of sports is starting to dominate the sport.
- 10:56Speaker 2: That doctor went from sports to sports and entertainment. Now
- 11:00Speaker 2: it is becoming.
- 11:01Speaker 9: Entertainment is becoming w W E right entertainment with support
- 11:06Speaker 9: right sport inserted in it, and we'll be back more
- 11:09Speaker 9: to Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 11:11Speaker 10: Gee got the holowputs for the switches to just walk
- 11:14Speaker 10: on box because I'm too hard to live.
- 11:17Speaker 2: The sait that will Smith the money of the alle
- 11:20Speaker 2: from the c C on the Rock and streeting straight
- 11:23Speaker 2: g triple the hollow puts come Miss John Bowl.

- 14:19Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, Now it's time to present the Jock
- 14:22Speaker 3: of the Day on The Sports Jock Show's.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Taking it to a completely different level this year.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Where we highlight an accolade that has taken their game
- 14:30Speaker 3: to the next level.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Say right is dips.
- 14:39Speaker 8: Dig go baby, don't stop now, dig go baby, don't stop.
- 14:43Speaker 6: Now, go way back to this war shock show. I'm
- 14:50Speaker 6: this horshock. Wayne came to Good morning to you on
- 14:54Speaker 6: this President today. The band is together today on the holiday.
- 14:59Speaker 6: I hope you have rolled over and at least turned
- 15:03Speaker 6: us on for your listening pleasure. A lot of people
- 15:07Speaker 6: have the day off, but we are here. Sports never
- 15:11Speaker 6: takes a break. It seems like as soon as you
- 15:14Speaker 6: think there's going to be a fall off, so much
- 15:17Speaker 6: more happens now. The NBA having their All Star Game.
- 15:22Speaker 6: From what I'm reading, this format didn't satisfy the people either.
- 15:30Speaker 6: They came up with some four team idea. I did
- 15:35Speaker 6: not see the game. It has lost me some of
- 15:40Speaker 6: it simply because I really don't understand why I can't
- 15:45Speaker 6: get two teams of twelve to play enough competitive game.
- 15:52Speaker 2: That's all that it's about.
- 15:55Speaker 6: It actually goes over my head that I can't get
- 16:00Speaker 6: twenty four of the greatest basketball players on the planet
- 16:04Speaker 6: to just play a basketball game the level they would
- 16:09Speaker 6: played when you know some of them go play on
- 16:11Speaker 6: the off season like I can't at least get that,
- 16:15Speaker 6: like to the point I got to come up with
- 16:16Speaker 6: ski what is this like the fourth five fifth scheme
- 16:21Speaker 6: in the last decade of how they went from just
- 16:24Speaker 6: choosing teams to get to two players to choose the team.
- 16:29Speaker 6: Then they went to the whole mixed match. You don't
- 16:32Speaker 6: have to be from the East or the West.
- 16:36Speaker 7: They had captain's pick teams. They did have East West
- 16:40Speaker 7: last year.
- 16:41Speaker 6: And then they went to some kind of format where
- 16:43Speaker 6: you won some money per quarter.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah that yeah, raising money for charity. And now they
- 16:51Speaker 2: have well three they have.
- 16:53Speaker 6: They picked the players, then they put eight of them
- 16:55Speaker 6: on a team, and then they played a rising Stars team.
- 17:00Speaker 6: Right then it's the first one to forty Yep, what's
- 17:05Speaker 6: going on?
- 17:06Speaker 8: We can't do it well, basically I was gonna say,
- 17:08Speaker 8: basically what they have taken the All Star Game and
- 17:11Speaker 8: back when you was talking about entertainment, it has Entertainment
- 17:15Speaker 8: has jumped in front. And this is why you were
- 17:17Speaker 8: getting this right now, we're getting this because what you
- 17:20Speaker 8: see is during the off season and you probably played
- 17:23Speaker 8: in some of these games yourself, running shoot back in
- 17:25Speaker 8: the day.
- 17:26Speaker 2: You basically gotta you got run and.
- 17:28Speaker 8: Shoot games going now or at Georgia Tech or a
- 17:32Speaker 8: gym in it during the off season, when guys are
- 17:35Speaker 8: just off season out in California playing ball. You just
- 17:37Speaker 8: got a pickup, a glorified pickup game now because it
- 17:41Speaker 8: has not there's no time, there's no records, there's not
- 17:44Speaker 8: a lot of all those NBA All Star records that
- 17:46Speaker 8: want that was put up from Doctor J to All
- 17:51Speaker 8: Star Game. When you saw you got you got to
- 17:53Speaker 8: see iceman George Gervin because we didn't seehim in the
- 17:56Speaker 8: regular season, so you was expecting to see that finger
- 17:59Speaker 8: roll or whatever. But now these guys, it's it's out.
- 18:02Speaker 8: It's a glorified pick up.
- 18:03Speaker 2: You said that right now.
- 18:08Speaker 9: Entertainment has taken over the sport, and I want to ask, like,
- 18:11Speaker 9: what part of what you saw in this version of
- 18:14Speaker 9: the All Star Game entertained When I see about when
- 18:18Speaker 9: I am that was something you wanted to.
- 18:20Speaker 8: When I see one of the top players in the
- 18:23Speaker 8: league going like, you got Kevin rten Man, you got
- 18:25Speaker 8: all mustachoes.
- 18:26Speaker 2: You need to do this, and you need to this
- 18:28Speaker 2: is Kevin.
- 18:28Speaker 8: Alert time and he's like, man, come on, let's play basketball.
- 18:31Speaker 8: You see that in shay Gil, Chris Alexander's face, like,
- 18:36Speaker 8: let's stop all this buffloonery.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I want to play basketball, but you.
- 18:39Speaker 6: But Shae can be the leader of the NBA out
- 18:45Speaker 6: of this darkness. He's the young pup that can lead
- 18:50Speaker 6: to Hey, let's play a game. Remember, all of this
- 18:55Speaker 6: is a function of the players won't play.
- 19:01Speaker 2: They won't play. They just will not go. Well, the
- 19:03Speaker 2: younger man, that's the part. Fool of me? Why can't
- 19:06Speaker 2: they just play? Am I missing something? Well?
- 19:08Speaker 8: Maybe we need to go back because the younger boys
- 19:10Speaker 8: like Leo Wimbi he said he was coming to play,
- 19:13Speaker 8: Shaane Gilker, They're coming to play.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Even Tray Young came to play.
- 19:18Speaker 8: And you look back, you think about the years when
- 19:20Speaker 8: Kobe got heard in the All Star.
- 19:22Speaker 2: But we were staying here.
- 19:27Speaker 6: Why can't I get a twenty twenty five player to
- 19:30Speaker 6: play a game?
- 19:33Speaker 2: The money they got, money doesn't count.
- 19:36Speaker 9: Why doesn't it? It's part of the season, It doesn't count.
- 19:39Speaker 7: For for for them as far as their minds, like,
- 19:46Speaker 7: am I I'm not getting a This isn't for a championship,
- 19:52Speaker 7: This isn't for This doesn't do anything for my brand,
- 19:56Speaker 7: And I'm probably fifty do something your brand?
- 20:02Speaker 9: How many teams in the NBA thirty thirty, so twenty
- 20:08Speaker 9: eight of them every year don't play for a championship,
- 20:12Speaker 9: that's what and they still play. So then the other
- 20:15Speaker 9: part is I don't want to embarrass myself. I don't
- 20:19Speaker 9: want to hurt my brand, and that's why guys don't
- 20:22Speaker 9: compete in the in the contest on Saturday Night. We
- 20:29Speaker 9: used to see All Stars be in the Dunk Contest,
- 20:32Speaker 9: or at least the guys who could potentially be All Stars.
- 20:36Speaker 9: But now we see four guys we never heard of,
- 20:39Speaker 9: or one guy who's in or they got to dig
- 20:41Speaker 9: into the G League to get.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Want They had four guys that don't even start. One
- 20:50Speaker 2: of them starts, only woo. Stefan Castle starts.
- 20:54Speaker 6: I went to a Spurs game. Stefan Castle came off
- 20:56Speaker 6: the bench just last week.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Well sometime he starts. I've seen him start. I've seen
- 21:03Speaker 2: him start when somebody's that's your understudy.
- 21:08Speaker 6: Castle is from the Atlanta area. Young man is from
- 21:12Speaker 6: the Atlanta area. So I think it's just amazing that
- 21:17Speaker 6: all of this is going on, and it all derives
- 21:20Speaker 6: from the guys that take the court don't seem to
- 21:26Speaker 6: have the machismo, competitive edge of just playing a game.
- 21:34Speaker 2: To enough.
- 21:35Speaker 6: And that's what I'm saying. They had to be one
- 21:36Speaker 6: hundred percent to a level where people can at least
- 21:39Speaker 6: feel like you're giving an effort. That's the part I'm
- 21:43Speaker 6: not telling you, like I said last week, I'm not
- 21:45Speaker 6: telling you to dive on the floor and break your
- 21:47Speaker 6: leg on a chair. But I'm saying when your effort
- 21:50Speaker 6: kind of like we're saying getting robbed, when your effort
- 21:53Speaker 6: is so low that people actually see the trick.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I actually see.
- 21:59Speaker 6: And now I'm gonna make this bird disappear.
- 22:03Speaker 2: It's under his handkerchief. No it's not. It's flying away. Okay,
- 22:10Speaker 2: it's kind of under the handkerchief. We'll be back more
- 22:13Speaker 2: to Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 22:16Speaker 10: You flow on up, So get up, get a move,

- 23:36Speaker 15: Uh oh brah, that's buzzed.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah.
- 23:38Speaker 5: He's starting with the woots and now a speech.

- 23:51Speaker 3: Buzzed, and my brain is saying, when it's time to
- 23:54Speaker 3: go home, Somebody call me a ride.
- 23:56Speaker 16: Love that guy, Me too, know your buzzed warning signs,
- 23:59Speaker 16: call for ride when it's time to go home.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Buzz driving is drunk driving. A message from ITZA and
- 24:04Speaker 2: the AD Council Lena Bloom for the Bail Project.
- 24:07Speaker 17: Imagine you're stuck in a jail cell and you can't
- 24:10Speaker 17: afford bell, and someone offers you a way out. Just
- 24:14Speaker 17: plead guilty and you can go home and kiss your
- 24:16Speaker 17: kids good night.
- 24:17Speaker 2: What do you do? What?
- 24:19Speaker 17: Thousands have you? Plead guilty whether you are or not.
- 24:23Speaker 17: Cash Bell makes poverty a crime. That's why the Ball
- 24:27Speaker 17: Project helps those who can't afford it while fighting to
- 24:30Speaker 17: in cash bail because freedom should be free.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Brought to you by the AD Council. And now back
- 24:38Speaker 2: to the sports giant, Wayne Gandy in the red zone
- 24:52Speaker 2: steal snapdog d d yess who's black? Stay still doing
- 25:01Speaker 2: this show.
- 25:09Speaker 18: A shade?
- 25:10Speaker 6: What makes some more shock? Showing this more shock? Wayne Candy?
- 25:13Speaker 6: The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl, they had their parade,
- 25:18Speaker 6: two people got shot and I begged for no shootings,
- 25:22Speaker 6: but it still happened. It just not not that anybody
- 25:27Speaker 6: shots too many. A twenty seven year old woman and
- 25:31Speaker 6: a twenty year old man. I haven't gotten the information
- 25:34Speaker 6: whether they were related as far as it was two
- 25:38Speaker 6: separate shootings or the two people got shot at the
- 25:41Speaker 6: same time by the same assailant. But they had a
- 25:45Speaker 6: couple of fights. A lady holding her baby got into
- 25:49Speaker 6: a fight with a couple of other fans, which is
- 25:51Speaker 6: a funny thing to see trying to hold a baby
- 25:55Speaker 6: and fight.
- 25:56Speaker 2: It's just not in as a parent.
- 26:01Speaker 6: It's interesting like she was still holding the baby, she
- 26:03Speaker 6: can put it down to get both hands free, and
- 26:07Speaker 6: the willingness of the fan to fight you holding a.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Baby, family, It's just.
- 26:13Speaker 6: But now, what are my options if you're holding your
- 26:17Speaker 6: baby and you swing on me, right, I'm gonna just.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Keep back and notice that I have a baby. Yeah,
- 26:22Speaker 2: I mean, but you don't hit me twice in the face.
- 26:25Speaker 6: Right, I'm not gonna fight you back holding your child.
- 26:29Speaker 6: I would subdue you or just move back get away
- 26:32Speaker 6: from you.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:33Speaker 6: I think that responsibility is more on parent. Excuse me,
- 26:37Speaker 6: I said that responsibility is no. I think I know,
- 26:40Speaker 6: but I'm saying I don't believe in who responsibility is
- 26:43Speaker 6: on My actions are my actions. I'm responsible for my action, right,
- 26:47Speaker 6: So you might want to fight, right, but I have
- 26:50Speaker 6: deemed that I don't, right, and so.
- 26:52Speaker 9: I'm going to get away from this. Why you holding
- 26:55Speaker 9: your infant and swinging on it? Right, and that makes
- 26:58Speaker 9: more sense. But some people will take it there, No.
- 27:02Speaker 2: No people will.
- 27:03Speaker 6: But it's your actions don't always have to match the
- 27:05Speaker 6: other person's action, and that you to me, the person
- 27:09Speaker 6: really wins when they can take you out of your character.
- 27:13Speaker 6: So I'm not about to punch this old lady. She
- 27:15Speaker 6: hit me with the cane. I see she wherever she at,
- 27:18Speaker 6: I'm gonna remove myself. I'm not gonna jump on her
- 27:22Speaker 6: and then get up with Oh you know, she hit
- 27:24Speaker 6: me with the cane.
- 27:25Speaker 2: That's just not me.
- 27:27Speaker 6: My intentions for hitting you is my intentions on hitting you,
- 27:30Speaker 6: not because you drew me into the fisticuffs. So if
- 27:34Speaker 6: I see that you holding your two year old, I'm
- 27:37Speaker 6: starting to think. So I'm wrong with you anyway, and
- 27:38Speaker 6: you willing to fight now, all I need to do
- 27:43Speaker 6: is mess around and swing at you and hit the baby.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I said, She's trying to get two
- 27:48Speaker 2: of them.
- 27:48Speaker 6: Now, I'm definitely going somewhere. You going somewhere and I'm
- 27:51Speaker 6: going somewhere. Right, two people get removed. When you murder somebody,
- 27:57Speaker 6: you I'm dead and you going to prison. And most
- 28:00Speaker 6: likely so it's you just alive dead somewhere else. I'm
- 28:05Speaker 6: dead in the ground, unfortunately. But people keep acting like
- 28:08Speaker 6: every shooter, every murderer, they just go home and make
- 28:11Speaker 6: a couple of coffee after the murder.
- 28:14Speaker 2: No, we forget who those people are too.
- 28:16Speaker 8: But you can if you get there and then deturn
- 28:18Speaker 8: to sell for you that you But I'm just missed
- 28:22Speaker 8: all that. It was funny when you said make a
- 28:25Speaker 8: couple of cough words. People got shot and we laughed.
- 28:33Speaker 6: I'm sorry, Oh my goodness.
- 28:37Speaker 2: It was a summer of summer of death.
- 28:40Speaker 6: The touch push is something that's going to be on
- 28:42Speaker 6: the table with the competition committee for you that don't know.
- 28:46Speaker 19: Uh.
- 28:46Speaker 2: The Philadelphia Eagles came up with a.
- 28:49Speaker 6: Design with Jalen Hurts and it's really been there, kind
- 28:53Speaker 6: of baby, kind of like the Dolphins years ago with
- 28:57Speaker 6: Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown coming up with the cat.
- 29:01Speaker 2: They kind of gave it.
- 29:02Speaker 6: It's not that it had never been used, but they
- 29:04Speaker 6: consistently used it enough to where it kind of became theirs.
- 29:09Speaker 6: The toush pushes something, it's basically a quarterback sneak. Have
- 29:13Speaker 6: we seen it before, sure, but nobody keeps using it
- 29:17Speaker 6: like the Philadelphia Eagles. But there is being some debate
- 29:22Speaker 6: whether the Competition Committee is going to adjust the way
- 29:28Speaker 6: they're able to use this. Now, my sensibilities tell me then,
- 29:34Speaker 6: just don't let them get in that situation. I don't
- 29:37Speaker 6: believe they're doing anything wrong. And it's so interesting how
- 29:43Speaker 6: we punish people for success. I find something that you
- 29:48Speaker 6: can't stop, and now I'm wrong. They banned the dunk
- 29:53Speaker 6: at one time because they felt like I gave tall
- 29:57Speaker 6: people the advantage career specifically, you know, because people, But
- 30:05Speaker 6: how is that right?
- 30:10Speaker 2: It's not.
- 30:11Speaker 9: And I remember during the game one of the things
- 30:14Speaker 9: that in the middle of all of that entertainment that
- 30:18Speaker 9: I do remember the process of with them massaging Chris
- 30:21Speaker 9: Jones's neck on the sidelines and the commentator saying how
- 30:25Speaker 9: that he's been complaining about the tush push because of
- 30:28Speaker 9: the strain that it puts on the defender's body trying
- 30:32Speaker 9: to keep them from getting across the goal line, and
- 30:34Speaker 9: I was like, defense, that.
- 30:40Speaker 6: You keep tell the dude from going across the gold
- 30:43Speaker 6: I never played I never played football organized, So isn't
- 30:47Speaker 6: that call playing defense?
- 30:49Speaker 2: I thought that was his job.
- 30:51Speaker 6: And then he's saying that these people are making my
- 30:53Speaker 6: job harder, and so now they're going to actually act
- 30:57Speaker 6: on that that doesn't make any sense, And before you
- 31:00Speaker 6: know it, the Super Bowl UH will have players from
- 31:05Speaker 6: the Canadian league in it, and they'll be having gimmick
- 31:09Speaker 6: contest at halftime because nobody wants to watch this stuff anymore.
- 31:15Speaker 7: I wasn't say that on that play, like Chris Jones,
- 31:17Speaker 7: it like turned to the side. I don't know he
- 31:20Speaker 7: was trying anything, I guess to try to stop that play.
- 31:24Speaker 7: But well, I wanted to ask you, uh, as far
- 31:27Speaker 7: as it looks like a play where you see a
- 31:30Speaker 7: lot of run plays where the pile if it the
- 31:33Speaker 7: players pile up and then someone's able to push it
- 31:35Speaker 7: forward so that so the uh you know, the offense
- 31:39Speaker 7: gets a couple more yards. It looks like that kind
- 31:42Speaker 7: of play in which that's allowed for the pile to
- 31:46Speaker 7: be pushed forward. So it's just It just looks that
- 31:50Speaker 7: way right off the snap. So I don't see how
- 31:53Speaker 7: it would I don't see the why aren't other teams
- 31:57Speaker 7: doing it?
- 31:59Speaker 2: Well?
- 31:59Speaker 6: Basically, well, you might actually see teams start developing their
- 32:06Speaker 6: second quarterback. The thing that makes it work is that
- 32:10Speaker 6: Jalen Hurts is first of all, willing to accept whatever
- 32:15Speaker 6: hits come along with that.
- 32:18Speaker 2: He you know, because you got to have a.
- 32:20Speaker 6: Quarterback that's willing to however, this shake up, Yeah, however,
- 32:25Speaker 6: this shake up, somebody gonna hit you. He's willing to
- 32:29Speaker 6: take the hit and be shoved like that. Most guys
- 32:35Speaker 6: are not gonna be willing. And he's a strong young man.
- 32:39Speaker 6: He has strong legs, and a lot of teams will
- 32:43Speaker 6: try to come up with it, and I've seen other
- 32:44Speaker 6: teams come up with a version of it, but they're quarterbacks,
- 32:48Speaker 6: and he's a good height to do it. Josh Allen out.
- 32:53Speaker 6: Those guys they're so tall that they can't they get down.
- 32:57Speaker 6: That's the time that Jalen Hurst is already down because
- 33:02Speaker 6: he's right at six one six feet Josh Allen him
- 33:05Speaker 6: in sixty five sixty six. So there's a long, lumbering
- 33:09Speaker 6: body that they're trying to get there. But I don't
- 33:13Speaker 6: think you should punish this team for you don't let
- 33:18Speaker 6: them get in third and fourth and one.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Just don't let him get inside. I'm sorry. Is this
- 33:24Speaker 2: a Is this a Vegas thing? No, I wouldn't. It's
- 33:28Speaker 2: a competition thing. Basically, Well, I'm saying that someone is.
- 33:32Speaker 6: It's the It's the NBA, not the NFL doing what
- 33:37Speaker 6: they always do and worry about whether fans are going
- 33:41Speaker 6: to be are to push and they are so open
- 33:47Speaker 6: wound about what the fan wants that to me, it
- 33:51Speaker 6: starts getting into.
- 33:55Speaker 2: The game itself, so you can't hit.
- 33:58Speaker 6: I was with some friends last night and some of
- 34:01Speaker 6: them didn't play because their parents, the you know, the
- 34:06Speaker 6: the men wanted to play football, parents didn't want them
- 34:09Speaker 6: to play, so they never played. And I said why.
- 34:12Speaker 6: Name was like, well, you know, we don't want the
- 34:14Speaker 6: hitting part. Somebody might get hurt. I said, so, y'all, really,
- 34:19Speaker 6: you know believe that part of it, the concussion part,
- 34:24Speaker 6: I said.
- 34:24Speaker 2: It is one thing.
- 34:25Speaker 6: The kid for the Buffalo Bills, he's having to retire
- 34:28Speaker 6: because of leg injuries. He or just need to the
- 34:31Speaker 6: point he has some kind of damage in his need
- 34:34Speaker 6: that it won't most people. Your career is shortened through
- 34:38Speaker 6: those kind of injuries. Then there but they people see
- 34:42Speaker 6: the concussions and they don't even show you the concussion. Right,
- 34:47Speaker 6: most concussions are received from the person doing the hitting,
- 34:54Speaker 6: but they penalize the defense for hitting. And when most
- 35:00Speaker 6: of the people that you even have ever heard of
- 35:02Speaker 6: being paralyzed were the hitters. If you go through history,
- 35:08Speaker 6: most of those incidents, the people the safety, the linebacker,
- 35:12Speaker 6: the d linemen, they were the ones that were doing
- 35:14Speaker 6: the hitting. Now, yes, some offensive people have, but it's
- 35:18Speaker 6: it's more on that side. So I think the toush
- 35:22Speaker 6: pushes stay. I think they should stop all this listening
- 35:25Speaker 6: to the public all the time. I think rules should
- 35:28Speaker 6: be changed through players. Well, and now players are if
- 35:34Speaker 6: these things are what the players are voting for competition.
- 35:38Speaker 6: But you, just as men are men and bad producer
- 35:41Speaker 6: are still stunned from that meeting where we had where
- 35:44Speaker 6: it's like, well we I'm offended. We're basically gonna well and.
- 35:48Speaker 9: That's what That's why I thought it was interesting that
- 35:50Speaker 9: during the Super Bowl they laid that issue at the
- 35:53Speaker 9: feet of Chris Jones's complaint. He's very influential, he's all pro.
- 35:59Speaker 9: He he's a pro bowler, he's all a super Bowl
- 36:02Speaker 9: champion multiple times. I knew that that saying that Chris
- 36:07Speaker 9: Jones is very upset about the two and I was like,
- 36:10Speaker 9: how long before they start complaining about that? And it
- 36:13Speaker 9: hadn't been a full month after the Super Bowl that
- 36:15Speaker 9: they're complaining about it. Yeah, and his feelings, well, I'm
- 36:19Speaker 9: saying it takes. It takes someone like that though, to
- 36:25Speaker 9: be in his feelings. Had anybody else complained, maybe they'd
- 36:28Speaker 9: be on some man shut up. But you know he's
- 36:30Speaker 9: got a voice.
- 36:31Speaker 6: So you're gonna take the tight end slant away because
- 36:34Speaker 6: it scores a touchdown all the time.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Oh No, I think all of that stuff is whining
- 36:39Speaker 2: to beat show right after this, I keep.
- 36:43Speaker 17: My so smashed.
- 36:48Speaker 20: Like I keep.
- 36:52Speaker 11: I don't go away Bord of the Sports John Show

- 39:04Speaker 2: And now back to the sports Giant Wayne. It's win LoDown.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Say you can see the sports chaint.
- 39:32Speaker 23: I'll sing even Big Janny, Welcome back to the spot
- 39:36Speaker 23: Shock Shome, the sports Shock Wayne Again.
- 39:39Speaker 6: The interesting news coming out of the combine. First and foremost,
- 39:44Speaker 6: Travis Hunter. The combine is going on. He got invited
- 39:48Speaker 6: as a defensive back. Everybody's wondering if he is the
- 39:53Speaker 6: first pick, which side of the ball, will teams pick
- 39:56Speaker 6: him as and he at least is at the combined part.
- 40:01Speaker 6: That doesn't mean he's going to work out. That's going
- 40:04Speaker 6: to be up to him, but evaluated as a corner
- 40:09Speaker 6: back instead of receiver at the combine. Shiloh Sanders, surprisingly
- 40:15Speaker 6: to me, was not invited to the combine. Combined it's
- 40:20Speaker 6: about three hundred and fifty somewhere in there. Three hundred,
- 40:24Speaker 6: I forget the exact number that they invite to Indianapolis
- 40:29Speaker 6: for three or four day period of time per position.
- 40:35Speaker 6: It takes about a week and a half to get
- 40:37Speaker 6: through everybody, but Shiloh Sanders is not or wasn't invited
- 40:43Speaker 6: to and I thought he had done enough to get
- 40:45Speaker 6: an invite. I think he's just one of those guys
- 40:48Speaker 6: that you have to put on a field. I think
- 40:52Speaker 6: we talked about this like he's and I was thinking
- 40:56Speaker 6: to go by the measurement that he's gonna shock you.
- 41:00Speaker 2: You just had to have to go by him playing football.
- 41:04Speaker 6: But he have a great chance with Travis and his
- 41:06Speaker 6: brother on their pro days that they have, everybody will
- 41:10Speaker 6: be there, so this is not going to particularly hurt him.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Like a lot of players that don't get invited at
- 41:18Speaker 6: particular schools don't have the first two top five picks.
- 41:24Speaker 9: Facility, And I think it's interesting that sort of full circle.
- 41:29Speaker 9: I remember you saying that I believe Prime was one
- 41:33Speaker 9: of the few talents that came to the combine, got out,
- 41:37Speaker 9: ran a forty and got back in his limo and left. Okay,
- 41:42Speaker 9: he came to his prote and did that. He never
- 41:43Speaker 9: went to the combine.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Did he go to the Combine? I'm not sure if
- 41:46Speaker 2: he went.
- 41:47Speaker 9: Because I want to ask, is there a there's a
- 41:50Speaker 9: certain mystique to not being invited. Is there any kind
- 41:56Speaker 9: of consideration given to people who or has there ever
- 41:59Speaker 9: been any one on some No, I'm good, I don't
- 42:02Speaker 9: need that, y'all just see me on draft day.
- 42:06Speaker 6: I don't personally know anyone who got an invite to
- 42:11Speaker 6: the Combine that that did not go.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:15Speaker 6: I'm quite sure there might be someone, but I don't
- 42:18Speaker 6: know them personally.
- 42:19Speaker 2: But you went, but you didn't do participate in everything.
- 42:22Speaker 8: From my understanding, and because you knew you had pro
- 42:25Speaker 8: day coming up, you felt more comfortable doing what you
- 42:29Speaker 8: were doing in Auburn.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Was was that was the reason why you didn't do
- 42:32Speaker 2: some of.
- 42:32Speaker 6: The f so I had gone to the Senior Bowl
- 42:36Speaker 6: and then the Combine was two weeks later. So I
- 42:41Speaker 6: don't want to do these drills with no practice, right,
- 42:47Speaker 6: So you if I'm just I've just been at the
- 42:49Speaker 6: Senior Bowl for a week and I just basically just
- 42:51Speaker 6: played a game, And now you want me to just
- 42:54Speaker 6: go get up under a bench press or run these
- 42:57Speaker 6: drills against someone who had spent the last six eight
- 43:00Speaker 6: weeks fresh. He's doing them, and then you're gonna put
- 43:04Speaker 6: my time against them. Why won't I just wait? And
- 43:08Speaker 6: that's why I said, with the national title game, you've
- 43:11Speaker 6: pushed it so far back now most of those guys
- 43:14Speaker 6: are gonna Yeah, they haven't been doing no four box corner.
- 43:19Speaker 6: They ain't done that since August, that kind of those
- 43:21Speaker 6: kind of drills that they asked you to do, and
- 43:23Speaker 6: they've just been playing football.
- 43:25Speaker 2: They haven't been doing the broad jump.
- 43:28Speaker 8: So and that's why I said not to say, but
- 43:31Speaker 8: some people, you know, you have to be smart enough
- 43:33Speaker 8: to realize that, and you actually you're smart enough to
- 43:36Speaker 8: realize that. But then you got some guys I'm still
- 43:40Speaker 8: gonna go and do this, and then they don't show
- 43:41Speaker 8: up as well.
- 43:43Speaker 2: As they should have.
- 43:44Speaker 6: What they think they're timing is they think they are
- 43:47Speaker 6: in that, and sometimes they are until they get there.
- 43:51Speaker 6: Showtime is a is a paralyzing thing.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Now when you say and a lot of people don't
- 43:58Speaker 2: A lot of people don't understand. And that's what makes you.
- 44:03Speaker 6: Able to get those positions is because it's not about
- 44:07Speaker 6: being able to do it. It's about being able to
- 44:09Speaker 6: do it every single time they say action. When these
- 44:12Speaker 6: people say go, get them, shout God. And if you
- 44:16Speaker 6: ain't able to do that, then that that separates you
- 44:20Speaker 6: from one level to then. I've shared it's multiple reasons.
- 44:25Speaker 6: I always here on the show, I talk about that,
- 44:27Speaker 6: like there's multiple reasons why the guy or lady that
- 44:31Speaker 6: you like, who you saw dripping with talent, yes, did
- 44:35Speaker 6: not end up because it can be everybody can't do
- 44:40Speaker 6: it with the lights on.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Everybody can't do it with the lights on, and then
- 44:43Speaker 2: everybody can't do it. It was times it was cool
- 44:46Speaker 2: in a small stadium.
- 44:47Speaker 6: Now you invite all these extra people to watch, and
- 44:51Speaker 6: you know, cut and it's time to go. And then
- 44:56Speaker 6: you used to say let's go at nine pm. Now
- 44:58Speaker 6: you want me to do a morning y'all? It's six
- 45:00Speaker 6: thirty am, and I ain't really in my You got
- 45:03Speaker 6: to be able to go when they say go, so
- 45:05Speaker 6: and that's why those same people a lot of times
- 45:08Speaker 6: that might have a bad comebine can two weeks later
- 45:12Speaker 6: go home to their school and have it because they're
- 45:14Speaker 6: more relaxed or they know what to expect, you know.
- 45:19Speaker 6: It's why when you watch comfort division games, they're tougher.
- 45:23Speaker 6: It's harder to win division games a lot of times
- 45:26Speaker 6: because of the familiarity of each other. I know what
- 45:30Speaker 6: you're four to two feels like, but if it's someone
- 45:34Speaker 6: you've never played, it's like it's second half by the
- 45:38Speaker 6: time I figure out, oh, okay, that's what it feels like.
- 45:40Speaker 6: But if Cowboys playing the Eagles, well we just played
- 45:44Speaker 6: two weeks ago, you know, I know what to expect.
- 45:47Speaker 6: Not just becomes a battle of wheels because I know
- 45:50Speaker 6: how Michael Parson feels and those are some of the
- 45:54Speaker 6: key elements.
- 45:55Speaker 2: So I think that Shiloh Sanders.
- 46:00Speaker 6: Worse, you know, or definitely somewhere I think I said,
- 46:02Speaker 6: like maybe fifth round or late fourth but he's more
- 46:06Speaker 6: of that guy that you put on the football field.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Now.
- 46:12Speaker 2: His injury with Travis and he did break his arm.
- 46:15Speaker 2: It is true. So with Travis, they invited him as
- 46:19Speaker 2: a cornerback.
- 46:20Speaker 6: Now is that saying that come draft time, if someone
- 46:26Speaker 6: wants to draft him as a cornerback, can he say no,
- 46:29Speaker 6: I want to be a receiver or will he go
- 46:32Speaker 6: where they on the side of the ball they want him.
- 46:34Speaker 6: I think the team see have seen enough if they
- 46:39Speaker 6: wanted him as a receiver. I don't know enough about
- 46:43Speaker 6: you as a dB. I could see your football IQ
- 46:47Speaker 6: as a receiver. I want to get to know you
- 46:52Speaker 6: from the other side of the ball. And you're you
- 46:55Speaker 6: know even the point that are you willing? Do you
- 46:58Speaker 6: know the coverages those kind of things or was Prime
- 47:01Speaker 6: just putting you out there, like go cover big Kenny right,
- 47:05Speaker 6: and and my instincts and I was right, and not
- 47:10Speaker 6: the calls, because sometimes that is you take that talent
- 47:12Speaker 6: and you don't want He already got enough stuff in
- 47:14Speaker 6: his head from receiver. I just put him on a
- 47:17Speaker 6: guy right, So he doesn't know anything about the defense.
- 47:21Speaker 6: He didn't even look in to get a defensive call.
- 47:23Speaker 6: All he does is follow you around. So we'll see
- 47:26Speaker 6: how Travis does. Shy A little good luck, I know
- 47:28Speaker 6: Pro Day will be great for you. We'll be back

- 49:46Speaker 24: And now back to the sports job, Wayne and center
- 49:52Speaker 24: Court on sports news gossip. Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 50:06Speaker 2: What of y'all year shound track was focking big wolfs.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Y'all ain't no.
- 50:12Speaker 6: I go by the name of Loupe Fiasco, representing that
- 50:17Speaker 6: first say fifteen ye.
- 50:21Speaker 5: And this on right hair.
- 50:23Speaker 2: I dedicate this from right hair to my Homieesea out there.
- 50:26Speaker 6: Welcome back to this one shot show. I'm this wry
- 50:28Speaker 6: shop win game. A good morning to you out there.
- 50:31Speaker 2: And this thing land.
- 50:33Speaker 6: The Nate Smith Hall of Fame list for next year
- 50:37Speaker 6: has been put out there. Some easy names to put
- 50:41Speaker 6: in the Basketball Hall of Fame. When you talk about
- 50:46Speaker 6: Carmelo Anthony, I think that Carmelo first ballot, Yeah, Greg
- 50:53Speaker 6: Maya Moore, yes, Sue Bird yes. Oh so we just so,
- 50:58Speaker 6: y'all just don't throw everybody in there. I'm saying, Dwight
- 51:02Speaker 6: Howard yes to me. Yes, So meeting over, I guess
- 51:07Speaker 6: that's it. I mean, I'm just we we could assume that,
- 51:12Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying, that we really really convened
- 51:19Speaker 6: for that.
- 51:20Speaker 2: He thanks.
- 51:22Speaker 6: One of the long time names that's been on the
- 51:24Speaker 6: board is uh And you know, for some of us,
- 51:27Speaker 6: we might remember Buck Williams. He's part of that older
- 51:33Speaker 6: when they kind of like how Sterling Sharp got in
- 51:37Speaker 6: after so many years, they go back to see and
- 51:40Speaker 6: they bring one of the old case file guys.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Yeah, so I know he is another name that might
- 51:49Speaker 2: get in.
- 51:49Speaker 6: But those are the big names I just named right
- 51:52Speaker 6: off the bat that I felt like, it's no doubt.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Who is the other older name, Buck Williams and who
- 51:59Speaker 2: uh you got names like World be Free? Okay, he's
- 52:04Speaker 2: I thought World b was already Reggie.
- 52:07Speaker 6: Theash, Tom Chambers, remember Tom, the Sons, Robert Ory Okay,
- 52:14Speaker 6: I thought I'm Mary Stottlemeyer. As far as coaches go, uh,
- 52:21Speaker 6: they have Billy Donovan up so I mean college because
- 52:29Speaker 6: he had a he was a great college coach. Yes,
- 52:31Speaker 6: and remember the Basketball Hall of Fame is basketball, there
- 52:37Speaker 6: is not the NBA. They're factor in everything that you've
- 52:42Speaker 6: done internationally, high school, college, And that's why I said
- 52:48Speaker 6: super Bird, Maya Moore, Carmelo, Dwight Howard. And for you
- 52:54Speaker 6: that might be skeptical about Dwight Howard, uh, he was
- 52:57Speaker 6: a force to be reckoned with that magic uniform. One
- 53:00Speaker 6: say what you want. Nobody went to the paint. I'm
- 53:03Speaker 6: gonna have to pull up and hit your little pop
- 53:04Speaker 6: jump shot. He made throw it up out of there.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Yes, he was definitely Superman, but he owned his Superman.
- 53:18Speaker 2: He can't even wait, along, you can't even Superman? Can
- 53:23Speaker 2: that something?
- 53:23Speaker 6: You can't even weaponize that? Can't he weaponize this Superman Man?
- 53:28Speaker 6: Because yes, and that's how And you still can't come
- 53:31Speaker 6: in the paint. And you still won't come in this paint. Uh,
- 53:36Speaker 6: and a long time played a long time one of
- 53:39Speaker 6: the dunk contests. A colorful character. And we're talking about
- 53:42Speaker 6: a young man that right out of high school.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Yeah, he was one of those.
- 53:48Speaker 6: One of his weaknesses was to me, like a lot
- 53:51Speaker 6: of the guys, even Josh Smith here, some of those guys,
- 53:55Speaker 6: I mean, you could see that rawness that they could
- 53:59Speaker 6: have got one the two years of college had to
- 54:03Speaker 6: really like Dwight never went to college to get a
- 54:07Speaker 6: signature shot, right, you know, but you could imagine he
- 54:11Speaker 6: had that a large one athletic ability jump. But he
- 54:16Speaker 6: was always kind of just playing off of athleticism, you know,
- 54:20Speaker 6: So he never had that that go to move that
- 54:24Speaker 6: Kareem or Elijah one of Moses thing where he just
- 54:28Speaker 6: was just out athletic you yeah.
- 54:31Speaker 8: You know, to the goal, that kind of thing that
- 54:34Speaker 8: was you you mentioned Josh Mill and you had randof Key.
- 54:37Speaker 8: Those were three guys on an AU team to play.
- 54:40Speaker 8: They were solid, you know, that talent level. So but
- 54:45Speaker 8: both of two of them coming straight out of high school.
- 54:48Speaker 8: So that's that speaks a lot just for the talent
- 54:51Speaker 8: that those guys had.
- 54:52Speaker 6: And then with Supe Bird and Maya Moore, what do
- 54:57Speaker 6: you say, especially someone like Sue who played that she
- 55:02Speaker 6: couldn't play. I mean, basically, I'm old. I mean, Diana
- 55:09Speaker 6: keep trying, but they just played. They're gonna have to
- 55:13Speaker 6: be putting down. They just take them out to pass. Yeah,
- 55:17Speaker 6: Sue play so long you start playing to where you're
- 55:21Speaker 6: older than the coach, and that's how long you've been
- 55:24Speaker 6: out there.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Sue Bird played twenty years.
- 55:26Speaker 6: Tarrasi looks like she, I don't know why they just
- 55:29Speaker 6: don't go, Hey, look, I'm a coach from now on.
- 55:32Speaker 2: Yeah, move on. Because they're great ambassadors of the game. Yeah, yeah,
- 55:37Speaker 2: they came to play. Do you think that, Yukon?
- 55:41Speaker 9: Do you think that they just feel like their biggest
- 55:44Speaker 9: impact is on the floor, Like do they not have
- 55:47Speaker 9: the temperament maybe to coach, because I'm sure the game
- 55:51Speaker 9: has changed a great deal for them as well. And
- 55:53Speaker 9: some of the mentality of the players is is more,
- 55:56Speaker 9: you know what are you talking about your ten thousand dollars?
- 55:59Speaker 2: Rent? You know what I mean? You need to be
- 56:01Speaker 2: focused on this. Do you think any of that plays?
- 56:03Speaker 2: And I think she'll come back. I think that. But
- 56:05Speaker 2: when you play so long, I man, you need a
- 56:10Speaker 2: break or two.
- 56:11Speaker 6: It's almost like people didn't understand why Tom Brady didn't
- 56:15Speaker 6: go right into the booth. It's like after that long, man,
- 56:19Speaker 6: can I can I go to the French real era
- 56:22Speaker 6: and not have to worry about when I come back?
- 56:25Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 56:26Speaker 6: Can I just go and you know, before I go
- 56:28Speaker 6: into another thing that's going to require me to always
- 56:31Speaker 6: be somewhere at a certain time and do what I'm
- 56:33Speaker 6: supposed to. I feel like Bill Belichick, it took that
- 56:36Speaker 6: year to like, man, I just need to go hang
- 56:39Speaker 6: find me a young thing.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Well, you know, can we know? Everything? Everything kind of
- 56:44Speaker 2: young to you when you seventy two, Everything got me old.
- 56:49Speaker 2: Got this little ten to sixty one year old.
- 56:52Speaker 11: You know.
- 56:55Speaker 4: Four.
- 56:55Speaker 6: But even if she was thirty five, if you're that
- 56:58Speaker 6: old me got me, got me a little tender things
- 57:02Speaker 6: she ain't but fit this my heart belongs to a
- 57:04Speaker 6: tender't but fitted sam fit to get we use they
- 57:09Speaker 6: would say the same thing. Yeah it was Bill seventy two,
- 57:13Speaker 6: seventy three. If he had a fifty seven year old
- 57:16Speaker 6: people will still yeah.
- 57:17Speaker 8: You think so, Yeah, yeah, I trying to get at
- 57:21Speaker 8: her square because you know she over fifty.
- 57:25Speaker 2: I don't think they would go at him as old.
- 57:27Speaker 2: Oh come, yeah.
- 57:27Speaker 6: Michael Douglass, the actor, he's like twenty five, thirty years
- 57:31Speaker 6: older than his wife something like that.
- 57:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and somebody he's like eighty and.
- 57:37Speaker 9: Fifty fifty seven now high, I think No. Captain Zada Jones, Oh,
- 57:42Speaker 9: captain Dad, Yeah, she's sixty something.
- 57:45Speaker 6: No, she's like fifty six fifty seven yeah, close. Yeah,
- 57:50Speaker 6: and he's like eighty and they still be like a
- 57:52Speaker 6: little hot things. Yeah she she she straight got a.
- 57:56Speaker 2: A r P cor We'll be backs for what called it?
- 58:02Speaker 20: She went.
- 58:03Speaker 10: That's but I'll never forget to through bed through, And
- 58:06Speaker 10: I'm gonna do whatever it takes to convince you because.
- 58:08Speaker 6: You might die.
- 58:09Speaker 2: And he's the upstair with you. Miss you and just
- 58:13Speaker 2: be a real witch. Don't go away. More of the

- 58:20Speaker 25: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 58:24Speaker 25: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 58:26Speaker 25: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 58:29Speaker 25: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 58:32Speaker 25: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 58:36Speaker 25: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 58:39Speaker 25: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 58:43Speaker 25: a positive. I knew I needed more tools in my
- 58:46Speaker 25: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 58:49Speaker 25: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 58:51Speaker 25: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 58:54Speaker 25: being that good role model as well. That model's good
- 58:57Speaker 25: behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 59:01Speaker 25: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 59:03Speaker 25: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 59:07Speaker 25: and watching your.
- 59:08Speaker 2: Kids be happy.
- 59:10Speaker 26: Never stop being a dad. That's dedication. Find out more

- 59:20Speaker 3: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 59:23Speaker 3: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 59:27Speaker 3: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 59:30Speaker 3: life insurance.
- 59:31Speaker 27: When I was twenty five. Me and my wife were
- 59:33Speaker 27: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 59:36Speaker 27: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 59:38Speaker 2: What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 59:41Speaker 27: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 59:43Speaker 27: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 59:45Speaker 27: survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 59:47Speaker 27: the insurance informant.
- 59:48Speaker 3: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 59:51Speaker 3: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 59:54Speaker 20: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 59:56Speaker 20: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 59:58Speaker 3: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: need is the insurance informat to help you build a
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: foundation of security. Because without you, your family will have
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: Log on today, benefits or bills?
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Dot Com? That's benefits or bills? Dot Com? Your not
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: our Why so share your s and.
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: We hold the world ransom for Wayne Yandy, excuse me
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: while I whip this out.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Sure broadcasting live and it led to a jail. This
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: is the sports Jock Ship with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: You may began up, can you.
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: Frank me down?
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: Dot com to count pocket.
- 1:00:52Speaker 28: Come to look?
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: Is it just.
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: I'm welcome back to this wor Shop show. I'm this
- 1:01:04Speaker 6: on shop win Gainy, good morning. Took you out there
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: listening land. President's Day is today, which is for most people,
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: especially in the business world financial world, is a day off.
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: If you missed any of that first hour of the show,
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: you can go to Amazon, Apple, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio, or
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: Spotify and catch the replay after we go off of
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: the air. In that first hour, we talked about will
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: the league banned the tush push that the Eagles had
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: so much success with the Eagles are the champions of
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: the NFL. Seems like it's been about three months since
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: the Super Bowl, but it was just last Sunday. But
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: it's been a long time. Just last Sunday, They've had
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: their parade. They shot a couple of people, you know,
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: had some fights with babies. Saquon one went on the
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: Jimmy Fallons Show. They chucked some beers.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: He gave them. He had a truckload of beer ready
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: for the lineman. When you got back to something. Each
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: lineman got their own truckload of beer.
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: Yeah, because that's what I want, a truck load. What
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: am I supposed to do with the truckload of beer
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: but to give it out to your friends and spoil?
- 1:02:24Speaker 20: What?
- 1:02:24Speaker 25: What do?
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: Where would it? That's what you're A friend of mine
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: used to have a middle light that he used to.
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: I helped you get two thousand yards and we win
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: a Super Bowl and your gift to me is for
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: me to give beer friend.
- 1:02:41Speaker 8: Uh.
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: The All Star Game happening out in Oakland. Uh, they
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: put it in the old Warriors facility.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Remember this.
- 1:02:54Speaker 25: I don't know.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: I guess it might have been a cheaper rate, because I'm.
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: Saying, remember when we just remember ever when we fought
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: really really hard to get out of there, and we
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: said that it was the best thing for us and
- 1:03:04Speaker 6: it would actually help the fan base if we were
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: given a new facility, and to the point where everybody
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: just moved out to Oakland because we said it wasn't
- 1:03:12Speaker 6: viable as far as sports franchise. I kept thinking maybe
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: when they made this announcement, they had already had a
- 1:03:18Speaker 6: deal with that arena, and they had.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Arena was still there, So I don't know whether they
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: make a deal with the.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: Arena contract or a contract contract team, but they might
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: have made a contract with the city of Oakland and
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: they'll hosted in that in Oakland. You're right, yeah, you
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: were a contract to have it in Atlanta because you
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: moved to making don't really then I got a contract
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: that says Atlanta. So they might have had a contract
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: that said Oakland, and that might be why they had
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: to have it and put it in there. So I imagine, you.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Know, if it's they're doing real business, is something like.
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: Yeah, because otherwise it just seemed like, look, I'm breaking
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: you think they wouldn't have put it in well, because
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: we got to imagine, we keep we always think it's
- 1:04:15Speaker 6: the team, but really the city that the Super Bowl
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: is being hosted in New Orleans, it's just the home
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: of the Saints.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Right right right, And and the deal is made with
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: these chamber of commerce.
- 1:04:31Speaker 6: And these deals are made three four years in advance,
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: so like next year, they already know where next year
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: is Super Well, the next two or three Super Bowls
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: they already already being you know, like the Olympics, the
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: next two cities already we've seen where when Uh, there
- 1:04:50Speaker 6: was an All Star game that was pulled for political reasons.
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: How a lot of people, Yeah, Charlotte, they sued the
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: governing body of that sport for the lost revenue that
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: the city had to incur.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: So yeah, that makes sense.
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: Saw interesting TV show last week Call Extracted my former
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: quarterback with the Saint Louis Rams.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Tony Banks.
- 1:05:16Speaker 29: Yeah.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: I saw that. I was on there.
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: Him and his ex wife Yolanda, friends of mine back
- 1:05:23Speaker 6: from the day, and that's why I watched because I
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: saw Tony Banks on there.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Well, first of all, we used to call them pretty Tony,
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: pretty Tony his hair, yeah yeah, that.
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: That natural, rico, suave and the bomb. And to just
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: see him on their vaull hit it uh time is cruel.
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: But he was on there and his son eighteen years old,
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: was the first one who extracted. If you haven't seen it,
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: if you want to, and then too, it's a spin
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: on the competition. You know, everybody's looking for the angle.
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: Their angle is participants go out into the wilderness I
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: think they're in Canada and two family members have to
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: watch them and they make the call on when they
- 1:06:21Speaker 6: think the family member has had enough or the family
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: member can quit and the actuality if the two people
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: in the headquarters, the headquarters.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Say that, and then you have to stay regardless of
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: what you want to do.
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: So Tony's son who's eighteen, and Tony went up and
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: extracted him. He was the first one extracted. And Tony
- 1:06:50Speaker 6: cried about it, and he even questioned, he said, and
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: that's why I'm bringing this up. He questioned, had he
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: been there too much.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: For his son?
- 1:07:02Speaker 6: Because it was things that he was a certain little
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: toughness he was looking for from his son that it
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: was making him question his parenting that maybe he has
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: he's been too sheltered. Sheltered, I've been there too much
- 1:07:19Speaker 6: for you. And it does I think all parents, because
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: you do have to try to find a balance between
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: letting a human learn to fend for itself but also
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: having the feel that.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: You got their back. Yeah.
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: Yeah, you know that they've got Yeah. Either way can
- 1:07:40Speaker 6: limit them. Yeah, and now they're too much form, you know.
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: It's almost like the whole generation of figuring things out. Yeah,
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: Like they don't have critical, critical thinking to the point
- 1:07:52Speaker 6: that right sometimes that hinders them.
- 1:07:55Speaker 9: And finding that balance. There was my generation that learned
- 1:08:00Speaker 9: to swim by being thrown in the water.
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: You get thrown being in the water. If you make
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: it back, you know how to swim. If you don't
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: make it back, you should have learned how to swim.
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: What's kind of how And some people felt like, no,
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: children don't need to go through that. So now they
- 1:08:16Speaker 6: do the uh water wings and you got floaties every
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: and as a result, some entire generations have never learned
- 1:08:26Speaker 6: how to swim.
- 1:08:27Speaker 25: Kind of thing.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: And where is the middle ground?
- 1:08:31Speaker 9: Because one inch, one way or another could dictate that
- 1:08:36Speaker 9: it's the message is either missed or misconstrued.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: So and it's a great episode. I don't know.
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: It was just the first episode of the series, and
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: because he was on it, I watched it. But I
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: thought the most pivotal part to me was, you know,
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: Tony played twelve thirteen years in the NFL, won a
- 1:08:56Speaker 6: Super Bowl with the Ravens back in two thousand as
- 1:08:59Speaker 6: the back up quarterback, but had a lot of success
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: out of Michigan State. Right now, I think he does
- 1:09:06Speaker 6: some analysts work for the Big Ten network for football,
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: But to watch him get in front of the interview
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: camera and sometimes you think a person is putting an
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: act on and then sometimes you can see the genuineness
- 1:09:21Speaker 6: that he when he made that statement, I was like, Oh,
- 1:09:24Speaker 6: that's coming from a real play that he would openly
- 1:09:27Speaker 6: on national television say. Don't I think maybe I was
- 1:09:30Speaker 6: there too much?
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: Because he doesn't seem to have no kind of stick
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: to this notion. Yeah, because they had gotten him really everything.
- 1:09:41Speaker 6: When you watch it show you'll get it. Like they
- 1:09:43Speaker 6: had to pack him a little bag, make sure, and
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: they got him a little bit of everything he needed.
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: And he quit the second day just because one thing
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: didn't go right. That he could have easily made it
- 1:09:56Speaker 6: to the next day, but because the one thing wasn't right,
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: he wanted to old fishing and the fishing wire was
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: tangled up.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's an easy fix. He didn't want to fix that.
- 1:10:09Speaker 9: See well see, And I think the hardest part in
- 1:10:16Speaker 9: being a parent having to managed situation like that is
- 1:10:19Speaker 9: overcoming your projected uh desperation of your loved one.
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: Because he could have fixed that, but Dad was on
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: some I'm not finna watch him struggle to untangle a wire.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: You see what.
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: Because Tony, he seemed to understand that he knew it
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: wasn't in his son and him being on screen keep
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: talking about let me out. Was starting to embarrass Tony
- 1:10:46Speaker 6: because he started powering like he was three, y'all gonna
- 1:10:49Speaker 6: let me out?
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: Wait I see it, And the mother was like she was, Yeah,
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: I used.
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: To taking them down through that and letting them suffer.
- 1:11:06Speaker 6: So if you get a chance Tony Banks NFL, it's
- 1:11:09Speaker 6: called extracted. I don't know that I will watch anymore.
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: I just watched because he was on there. Like I
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: do a lot of shows if somebody I know, particularly,
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: and this one was kind of creative on how they
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: did the whole survival. Yeah, method, it was one of
- 1:11:24Speaker 6: those survival shows, but it kind of you're whoever you
- 1:11:28Speaker 6: picked the two people you wanted to judge whether to
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: pull you out or not in the booth, and they
- 1:11:36Speaker 6: wasn't they were that comfortable either. They were all in
- 1:11:38Speaker 6: there like it was cold and things like that. But
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: extracted it probably is on Hulu to see the replay.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Of something like that. I think, yes, Yeah, NBC Universal,
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: We'll be back with more the Sports Shock Show right

- 1:14:53Speaker 6: trouble with any kind of discrimination. Last week you said
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: you just can't go underneath your son's age. That would
- 1:15:00Speaker 6: be age discrimination. So you're going to have to open
- 1:15:04Speaker 6: up age. You can't anybody over eighteen everyone over well,
- 1:15:09Speaker 6: we'll see twenty one.
- 1:15:11Speaker 16: Over twenty one, okay, okay, so we can't be just
- 1:15:14Speaker 16: never thought about it. Yeah, sorry, ok lady, Yeah, everybody.
- 1:15:18Speaker 16: Everybody over twenty one has to.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: Be able to get a job.
- 1:15:24Speaker 6: Do we have to go back and do real Do
- 1:15:28Speaker 6: we have to review our old cases. I'm just saying, okay,
- 1:15:31Speaker 6: don't discriminate against Angel.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: I do the reviewers twenty two? It's her birthday today?
- 1:15:38Speaker 6: Say oh yeah, y'all, y'all have let me out the
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: cage at the right time. I thought it was angel
- 1:15:44Speaker 6: birthday because I've seen that the game was she wasn't playing.
- 1:15:48Speaker 6: I've seen it the game. You can't write it up
- 1:15:51Speaker 6: twenty one to seventy. I didn't know I was discriminating

- 1:21:05Speaker 7: that's what.
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: I'm saying. I'm saying, what what now? Now? I don't
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: know what I don't. I don't.
- 1:21:12Speaker 9: I don't mean to discourage his getting his acting game on,
- 1:21:15Speaker 9: but if it's a show about teenage drug youth, he
- 1:21:19Speaker 9: shot one of them.
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: Categories what I'm saying, like I can see you.
- 1:21:25Speaker 7: Seller, or they're doing a time jump since it would
- 1:21:29Speaker 7: be four years since the last episode, so a few
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: a lot of the characters aren't returning, like Zindaa's returning
- 1:21:39Speaker 7: since she's the lead, but.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: They're going to be four years old before college. Now, yeah,

- 1:22:21Speaker 30: Loved one owns a gun and for a while now
- 1:22:24Speaker 30: you've been concerned about their behavior. They're just not acting
- 1:22:28Speaker 30: like themselves. They've been distant, they've been unpredictable, they've been
- 1:22:33Speaker 30: lashing out, they've been saying things that make you worried
- 1:22:35Speaker 30: they might harm themselves or friends or family. Or you're
- 1:22:39Speaker 30: worried this loved one might hurt you. Maybe they recently
- 1:22:42Speaker 30: threatened someone with their gun. You know something needs to

- 1:23:04Speaker 30: or even deadly. If you are worried about a loved

- 1:23:20Speaker 30: AD Council.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: life insurance.
- 1:23:32Speaker 27: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:23:34Speaker 27: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:23:36Speaker 27: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind, what
- 1:23:39Speaker 27: about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When
- 1:23:42Speaker 27: I was forty, with a kid in college and bills
- 1:23:44Speaker 27: piling up, I was worried how my family was survived
- 1:23:46Speaker 27: without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with the
- 1:23:48Speaker 27: insurance informant.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: Information gives you power and life. Insurance gives your family
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:23:54Speaker 20: No that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:23:57Speaker 20: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: whether you earn a little or a lot. All you
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: Log on today benefits or bills?
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: Dot Com?
- 1:24:17Speaker 28: That's benefits orbills dot com Hurting the game. We tough
- 1:24:23Speaker 28: it out, feel exhausted, we push on feeling down. We
- 1:24:28Speaker 28: pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.
- 1:24:31Speaker 29: But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress
- 1:24:35Speaker 29: gets to us and we need to talk to someone
- 1:24:37Speaker 29: about what we're really going through. So we're going to
- 1:24:40Speaker 29: reach out because sometimes mental health is not a one
- 1:24:43Speaker 29: person job. Is it Love Yourmind Today dot org. That's
- 1:24:46Speaker 29: Love your Mind Today dot org. Brought to you by

- 1:24:53Speaker 2: And now back to the sports Job, Wayne Gandy, there
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: is Lou.
- 1:25:01Speaker 24: We've been given full access to the player's lounge on
- 1:25:04Speaker 24: the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Dandy Old.
- 1:25:14Speaker 12: Last night, me and my warma.
- 1:25:22Speaker 6: We cried.
- 1:25:25Speaker 15: Crod together.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: Said we run ain't nothing long. But so now a
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: young whipper snapper, welcome back to the Sports Shock Show.
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: Ain't nothing wrong. You kn't having a flashback over there?
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: Hit that move you got, had a choreography and everything
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: you need to let it play them where he say,
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: and didn't we and didn't we didn't we.
- 1:26:14Speaker 8: Make like Sam cooking the stars over there with that
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: towery you better you better know.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: I come from a generation where my daddy used to
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: do that. Y'all line up, do the two steps? Doah,
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: two steps? I go two steppers in the building.
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: No allows tyreek Hill. Uh, the Olympic sprinter. No allows
- 1:26:38Speaker 6: the NFL sprinter Tyreek Hill.
- 1:26:42Speaker 19: Uh.
- 1:26:42Speaker 6: They're going to race this offseason. They have agreed to
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: race a distance. Hasn't been notified. Yeah, they haven't notated
- 1:26:53Speaker 6: a distance. I doubt it's going to be one hundred,
- 1:26:58Speaker 6: and I'm quite sure it won't be a forty something.
- 1:27:01Speaker 6: Sixty would be fair to both competitors. Will you what
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: do you guys think? I?
- 1:27:07Speaker 9: Well, I would say I would say minimum sixty. It's
- 1:27:12Speaker 9: got to be sixty. It can't go one hundred.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: That would be fair. No, one hundred, No, what's gonna win?
- 1:27:18Speaker 9: Yeah, he would definitely win that. Tyreek probably would be
- 1:27:24Speaker 9: have the advantage in a forty indoor.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: They run the indoor sixty. Yeah, the indoors and they
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: don't exist.
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: Tyreek did that last year in one of the it's
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: like a masters event. He he won that in the
- 1:27:37Speaker 7: in the Yeah, in the sixties. Now what is their
- 1:27:39Speaker 7: motivation for this? Is this for charity? Is this just
- 1:27:42Speaker 7: for bragging rights?
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: Well, it's one of those. It's kind of like there's
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: there's a natural.
- 1:27:49Speaker 6: Competitiveness between athletes like basketball and football each other.
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Superman in the flash, gonna see who fast.
- 1:27:58Speaker 6: And football and someone like a Tyreek Hill whose high
- 1:28:02Speaker 6: school background was track. Yes, you know, and a lot
- 1:28:05Speaker 6: of times your receivers and your cornerbacks that you see
- 1:28:08Speaker 6: in the NFL. You go back to their high school career,
- 1:28:11Speaker 6: they were all state fastest guys and games. I call
- 1:28:17Speaker 6: over at Langston Hughes the young player, he was the
- 1:28:21Speaker 6: fastest kid in the country. I think he's going to
- 1:28:27Speaker 6: Georgia for track, but they had him playing receiver, so
- 1:28:31Speaker 6: it's not uncommon for that to be the case. And
- 1:28:35Speaker 6: I think you get two guys tyreek is what thirty
- 1:28:38Speaker 6: thirty one?
- 1:28:40Speaker 20: No?
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: What was?
- 1:28:40Speaker 6: What about twenty eight thirty right in there too, So
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: it makes sense. It sounds like a nice little something
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: to do on an afternoon. We could sail a couple
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: of ads, you know what I mean, play some bets
- 1:28:53Speaker 6: and a foot race has always been something people.
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: Like to see.
- 1:28:58Speaker 9: It'll draw a lot of select between who's faster in
- 1:29:01Speaker 9: those kind of cases, the Super Bowl champion or the
- 1:29:05Speaker 9: Olympic gold medalist.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: This back in the late seventies early eighties, they used
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: to have that show something American Stars, because I've seen.
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: Battle of the Network Stars, and I know a lot
- 1:29:20Speaker 6: of times you would get a football player or get
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: somebody fast and people would would love to see that.
- 1:29:28Speaker 6: So especially at a sixty Yeah, I think forty is
- 1:29:36Speaker 6: not enough for them. But at a sixty, which is
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: that kind of sweet spot, it gives Tyreek hundred. I
- 1:29:45Speaker 6: don't think Tyreek has that in him anymore. Yeah, the
- 1:29:51Speaker 6: muscle sets are to his memory specifically football.
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: Now, Yeah, that makes sense.
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: It's just that on a football field, after sixty yards,
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: typically you're in the end zone.
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of times you don't real That's.
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: Why they do the forty if they don't want to know,
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: because typically after forty, that's.
- 1:30:10Speaker 27: A long.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: Chunk of yards on the football field.
- 1:30:15Speaker 6: When the football field is only one hundred yards and
- 1:30:18Speaker 6: you get the ball at the thirty right, so it's
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: only seventy yards to the end zone. If you can
- 1:30:24Speaker 6: get forty of it, if you can get free for forty,
- 1:30:27Speaker 6: there's only two people that can catch you by that time.
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: That means you've out ran everybody. So sixty I would
- 1:30:34Speaker 6: like to see.
- 1:30:34Speaker 8: You like to see this, Yeah, I mean I was
- 1:30:37Speaker 8: thinking more like seventy five. You know, I just think
- 1:30:40Speaker 8: that sixty might be more of advantage.
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: For well, I'm just going by what I just think
- 1:30:44Speaker 6: what they actually run in track and Fit has run
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: sixty a.
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: Lot of time.
- 1:30:50Speaker 6: He has ran Yes, Okay, he's been the world champ
- 1:30:53Speaker 6: at sixty, and so you can chef at sixty. And
- 1:30:56Speaker 6: so watch indoor track, they run the sixty. Okay, yeah
- 1:31:01Speaker 6: I wouldn't aware of that, but yeah it's a sixty.
- 1:31:04Speaker 6: They go outdoor and a lot of the sixty meters
- 1:31:07Speaker 6: become one hundred meters on the outside hundred. But when
- 1:31:09Speaker 6: they do indoor, they don't do one hundred, they do
- 1:31:11Speaker 6: sixty meters. So that's why I picked that distance. And
- 1:31:16Speaker 6: who do you favor? That's why I say it's intriguing
- 1:31:22Speaker 6: at sixty. At one hundred, that's why no win win.
- 1:31:26Speaker 6: But you feel like this is it's too quick.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's quick.
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: I can't really tell who can win at forty because
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: most fast people are at the same level. A lot
- 1:31:37Speaker 6: of sprinters at last ten to fifteen yard make they
- 1:31:40Speaker 6: don't start off.
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: Career speed until they get to fifty meters, Yeah they don't.
- 1:31:45Speaker 6: They don't start standing up until they get So sixty
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: puts them in something that.
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: Is actually a n C double A.
- 1:31:53Speaker 6: If you turn on the indoor track right now, that
- 1:31:56Speaker 6: they somebody wins that championship indoor female and male every year,
- 1:32:02Speaker 6: so it'd be that's why I said it would be
- 1:32:03Speaker 6: a nice little interesting June day. Man ain't doing nothing else. Yeah,
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: I might as well flip that on and see who
- 1:32:12Speaker 6: who's running, and if it's it generates enough interest, might
- 1:32:17Speaker 6: be able to pull it off for a rematch, you
- 1:32:20Speaker 6: know what I mean?
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think that's where the NBA in there.
- 1:32:24Speaker 6: The three point Competition is outwinging the Dunk Contest because
- 1:32:29Speaker 6: there's still names. Tyler Hero won the three Point Contest
- 1:32:33Speaker 6: this year, but he's beating recognizable names like Damon Lillard
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: and Buddy Healed. And the competitors that are in it
- 1:32:44Speaker 6: are guys that actually you see shooting the ball when
- 1:32:48Speaker 6: you turn on the game. The dunk Contest, it was
- 1:32:52Speaker 6: centered around is Michael Jordan a better dunker than Dominique Wilkins?
- 1:33:00Speaker 6: That was That's the whole draw to it, right. It
- 1:33:03Speaker 6: wasn't can't he jump over car? Can he jump over
- 1:33:06Speaker 6: a car? It's the individuals that you want to see
- 1:33:11Speaker 6: do it, And that's why I think it falls off
- 1:33:15Speaker 6: to where now it's just almost like a trick. And
- 1:33:17Speaker 6: that's why I say, please understand, I'm not hitting on
- 1:33:19Speaker 6: Matt McClung at all. He said his last name McClung
- 1:33:24Speaker 6: at all.
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: Those were some outstanding trick.
- 1:33:30Speaker 6: It's one of those things if you sent me that
- 1:33:32Speaker 6: on in some kind of clip, I would like, that's
- 1:33:34Speaker 6: wowd did jump on that car, dunk the ball in
- 1:33:38Speaker 6: the sun roof. But it's really John Moran versus those
- 1:33:47Speaker 6: is what That's what you got in your head.
- 1:33:50Speaker 7: Yeah, it was a job. See, we want to see
- 1:33:52Speaker 7: Zion because that I think John Morant tweeted about like
- 1:33:57Speaker 7: he might want to go back to get back to
- 1:34:00Speaker 7: dunking now because he said he wouldn't do it anymore
- 1:34:02Speaker 7: exactly what still an.
- 1:34:05Speaker 6: Odd thing to tell people I'm not gonna dunk, I'm
- 1:34:08Speaker 6: not gonna give you the highlight anymore, or that I'm
- 1:34:11Speaker 6: still not understanding what that means.
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: So well, i think I'm gonna take the highlight out
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: of my game. Well see, And.
- 1:34:20Speaker 9: I think that sometimes when people have a degree of
- 1:34:27Speaker 9: I don't know, that's what I'm saying. When you have
- 1:34:29Speaker 9: a certain degree of leverage, sometimes you say things just
- 1:34:31Speaker 9: to hear yourself say that, like, man, I'm gonna see
- 1:34:34Speaker 9: if these people let me say I'm not gonna dunk,
- 1:34:37Speaker 9: and then you be like nobody really cared, so you know,
- 1:34:40Speaker 9: I got to come up with something else ridiculous to
- 1:34:42Speaker 9: us sure to preserve his body.
- 1:34:44Speaker 6: I guess it was a craziness. Even with Kendrick Lamar, people,
- 1:34:48Speaker 6: oh man, he's not gonna do like not Like Us?
- 1:34:51Speaker 6: Then what song would he be doing that everybody would know?
- 1:34:56Speaker 6: Not Like Us is what has made people really know him.
- 1:35:02Speaker 6: It's what brought him. The people that didn't know Kendrick
- 1:35:05Speaker 6: Lamar start knowing him with not Like Us.
- 1:35:10Speaker 20: Right.
- 1:35:13Speaker 6: I know that's to be true because people when I
- 1:35:15Speaker 6: went to play for Pittsburgh, people thought I was a
- 1:35:17Speaker 6: rookie because the rounds, we were so sorry that they
- 1:35:22Speaker 6: had forgotten we was in the league.
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: And it's like, no, I'm on, you're six. I mean,
- 1:35:26Speaker 2: you know, but because you've been somewhere that nobody pays attention.
- 1:35:31Speaker 2: And it's the same.
- 1:35:31Speaker 6: And I'm not putting I'm saying Kenny Lamar is a
- 1:35:34Speaker 6: masterful hip hop rapper. I'm just saying, but what has
- 1:35:38Speaker 6: brought him this new emergence is that song, right, because
- 1:35:42Speaker 6: it went outside his listening right, his demographic of listeners
- 1:35:48Speaker 6: that had expanded to people.
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: And plus it was a great branding mark.
- 1:35:52Speaker 8: And when you got everybody playing it last summer at
- 1:35:55Speaker 8: the Olympics, and it's just like not like us.
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: Anybody can feel like, oh you're not like me. I'm
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: not like us.
- 1:36:00Speaker 6: And it's not necessarily towards the beef. It's just a
- 1:36:04Speaker 6: song that now so so John Moram, I'm still confused
- 1:36:08Speaker 6: with he I'm not gonna give you the.
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: Spectacular play and then you go out and don't you
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: remember the night he said.
- 1:36:12Speaker 6: That's just like Valentine to say, Hey, we're gonna.
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: Go out to dinner, but I'm not gonna do that thing.
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: I'm not going. I don't know why we're even gonna
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: ride to the dinner.
- 1:36:23Speaker 6: We'll be back the Sports Shock Show. We cry, We'll
- 1:36:29Speaker 6: be back right after this. It's to be my homie,
- 1:36:33Speaker 6: It's to be my ace.
- 1:36:34Speaker 20: Now.
- 1:36:34Speaker 10: I want to slap the six stouts your mouth naked
- 1:36:37Speaker 10: bough down. So the roats taking me now, I'm taking you.
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: Make a forgot us, Let you slide, Let me drive.
- 1:36:45Speaker 11: Just another homer shot, don't go Wayne Born of The
- 1:36:49Speaker 11: Sports John Show with Wayne Dandius coming up next.

- 1:37:53Speaker 31: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 1:37:56Speaker 31: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people.
- 1:38:00Speaker 31: It's a powerful opioate, often made illegally and commonly mixed
- 1:38:03Speaker 31: with illicted drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 1:38:06Speaker 31: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 1:38:11Speaker 31: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 1:38:14Speaker 31: This isn't an AD to scare you, but it isn't
- 1:38:16Speaker 31: ad to make you think twice. Get the facts. Go
- 1:38:19Speaker 31: to real deal on fentanyl dot com. This message is
- 1:38:22Speaker 31: brought to you by the AD Council.
- 1:38:23Speaker 25: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 1:38:27Speaker 25: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 1:38:29Speaker 25: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes where
- 1:38:32Speaker 25: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 1:38:35Speaker 25: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 1:38:39Speaker 25: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 1:38:42Speaker 25: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 1:38:46Speaker 25: a positive. I knew I needed more tools on my
- 1:38:49Speaker 25: toolbox to take care of these little girls that had
- 1:38:52Speaker 25: just lost their mother. It's time for me to be
- 1:38:54Speaker 25: that father that I knew I could be. I think
- 1:38:57Speaker 25: just being that good role model as well, that model's
- 1:39:00Speaker 25: good behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 1:39:04Speaker 25: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 1:39:06Speaker 25: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 1:39:10Speaker 25: and watching your kids be happy.
- 1:39:13Speaker 26: Never stop being a dad. That's dedication. Find out more

- 1:39:26Speaker 23: And now back to the sports jobt wing Gandy. It's
- 1:39:50Speaker 23: lock as so you can see the sports joint. I'll
- 1:39:53Speaker 23: sing even candy walk back to.
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: The sport stop showing the sportshop Winge. Is gambling.
- 1:40:03Speaker 6: An investment or is gambling for entertainment? That's the big
- 1:40:11Speaker 6: question that Draftking CEO Jason Robbins, who is making an
- 1:40:19Speaker 6: effort to let betters know and emphasizing that users should
- 1:40:25Speaker 6: take betting strictly as an entertainment and not use betting
- 1:40:35Speaker 6: as an investment tool. And I think when you kind
- 1:40:39Speaker 6: of say investment tool, he's talking about the idea that
- 1:40:46Speaker 6: I can make gambling a job. Some people gamble in
- 1:40:53Speaker 6: a way as though that's a job, and that can
- 1:41:00Speaker 6: easily become a detractor to your life. And that's the
- 1:41:06Speaker 6: scary part of gambling. Gambling I've always been but I'm
- 1:41:11Speaker 6: on a healthy side of it. I can't speak for
- 1:41:13Speaker 6: the people that use it in an unhealthy way. It's
- 1:41:15Speaker 6: always been something where even if I won the money,
- 1:41:18Speaker 6: it was one more and just happenstance.
- 1:41:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:41:22Speaker 6: Wow, I came up, but not as a way that
- 1:41:25Speaker 6: I'm going to feed myself tomorrow or pay for my
- 1:41:30Speaker 6: kids education. I just hey, b Kenny, a man always
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: playing Southern Miss. I bet you fifty dollars. But I
- 1:41:36Speaker 6: don't have no real plan for the fifty dollars. Yeah,
- 1:41:40Speaker 6: because it's like, most likely I get those breakfasts on
- 1:41:43Speaker 6: Thursdays and I'm over.
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: Here like, all right, man, I bet you fifty dollars.
- 1:41:48Speaker 6: Then I go to the gambling house like eighteen thousand
- 1:41:52Speaker 6: on seven, Miss, eighteen thousand on seven exactly, And I
- 1:41:57Speaker 6: think to hear someone the CEO of Draftking, the vibe
- 1:42:02Speaker 6: he's getting or the way people are gambling.
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: I guess he's getting the people points.
- 1:42:08Speaker 6: Well, maybe we're starting to trend towards this is not
- 1:42:13Speaker 6: seen as just entertainment.
- 1:42:15Speaker 9: Well I think that's interesting because you're telling me that
- 1:42:23Speaker 9: you want me to see it as just entertainment. Entertainment
- 1:42:26Speaker 9: is something that comes on. I can watch it, I
- 1:42:29Speaker 9: can turn it off. It distracts me for a certain
- 1:42:32Speaker 9: amount of time. But gambling you yourself as DraftKings have
- 1:42:36Speaker 9: a whole show dedicated to analysts who can tell me
- 1:42:40Speaker 9: the ins and the outs and how to pick the lines.
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: And this is what you go.
- 1:42:44Speaker 6: Oh, you go for the two point under and the
- 1:42:48Speaker 6: prop in the third quarter, and come on, that sounds
- 1:42:52Speaker 6: like an investment strategy. Swap on the problem that and
- 1:43:00Speaker 6: died all of us on the over and the dude
- 1:43:03Speaker 6: and swap and the dude that swap said, put twenty
- 1:43:06Speaker 6: dollars on of America and put eight percent in.
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: The prop with target And now they sound the same.
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: And now I got a fifteen leg parlay.
- 1:43:17Speaker 6: See see I got the fifteen leag party. We said this, this, this,
- 1:43:24Speaker 6: we have to give this. We have to get this man,
- 1:43:27Speaker 6: Jason Robbins. We have to give him some credit now
- 1:43:30Speaker 6: of seeing this happen.
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: Now, Jason, I can't. It feels just letting you continue
- 1:43:35Speaker 2: to do it. He seems like man, I might be
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: all created.
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: No.
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: Last week the months last week.
- 1:43:40Speaker 6: Jason Robbins was with the Columbian President saying that cocaine
- 1:43:45Speaker 6: is kind of like drinking whiskey. You see what I'm
- 1:43:47Speaker 6: saying they're both on some play responsibly when we already
- 1:43:51Speaker 6: know that the cat in the bag for this, And
- 1:43:54Speaker 6: how can you say that, because there are people when
- 1:43:57Speaker 6: you say not responsibly, like betting on games or playing
- 1:44:03Speaker 6: poker as a gambler, there are people that are professional
- 1:44:07Speaker 6: card players.
- 1:44:07Speaker 8: They play World Series of Poker. That's their job. They
- 1:44:10Speaker 8: go around different circuits and they play that. Then you've
- 1:44:13Speaker 8: heard people say I rather go to Vegas and take
- 1:44:16Speaker 8: my money and gamble, then go put it in the
- 1:44:18Speaker 8: stock markets, just like gambling.
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: So there have been analogies. Those are for the uneducated.
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: The stock market is not just like gambling. And I
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: do understand, I understand.
- 1:44:29Speaker 6: I just thought, and I'm not disagreeing with either of you.
- 1:44:31Speaker 6: I thought that it must be something that Jason has seen,
- 1:44:38Speaker 6: you know what, man, It's like almost like hold on now.
- 1:44:42Speaker 6: I was just trying, just like the person who really
- 1:44:45Speaker 6: came up with social media or whatever, this whole technology.
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: I just thought I was just trying to help you
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: find commands.
- 1:44:52Speaker 6: You Greg, right, I didn't know you was gonna do
- 1:44:55Speaker 6: only fan But this is the kind of thing.
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: I think some of this is just like with the
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: real stock market. It's become so lucrative.
- 1:45:04Speaker 9: We see people willing to manipulate the market as an investment,
- 1:45:08Speaker 9: so that that going to players and hey, man, you
- 1:45:11Speaker 9: got to take.
- 1:45:13Speaker 6: But all I can do as a CEO is tell
- 1:45:15Speaker 6: you it's better to do this. More is entertainment. Yeah,
- 1:45:20Speaker 6: but then you open up spot and I can do
- 1:45:23Speaker 6: it from my phone, the same as asking them to
- 1:45:26Speaker 6: gamble responsibly and.
- 1:45:30Speaker 8: Versus what I say in public, what he's saying in private,
- 1:45:34Speaker 8: versus what he's saying in public and public he's telling them,
- 1:45:37Speaker 8: why why?
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: Why why hold on? Hold on before we go? Why
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: is everything so evil?
- 1:45:42Speaker 6: Why can't this man actually have been sitting here watching
- 1:45:45Speaker 6: numbers come cross and realize I messed around and open
- 1:45:49Speaker 6: an app If he really mean that, where Well my
- 1:45:53Speaker 6: first age is admitting it before I go and cash
- 1:45:56Speaker 6: all my chips in and leave with all your money.
- 1:45:59Speaker 2: My first.
- 1:46:04Speaker 8: We were just you really mean it, don't take the money.
- 1:46:06Speaker 8: Just can't just leave and say, hey, this ain't right
- 1:46:08Speaker 8: now and.
- 1:46:09Speaker 26: I'm gonna leave.
- 1:46:11Speaker 8: I opened the Bunny ranch as a legitimate business. Well,
- 1:46:15Speaker 8: so he's not being to me, not being sincere. You
- 1:46:18Speaker 8: shouldn't be doing that. It sounds that that sounds so simple.
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: I'm simple.
- 1:46:23Speaker 8: Now, excuse me. I'm not trying to be simple, sports John.
- 1:46:26Speaker 8: All I'm saying is I.
- 1:46:27Speaker 6: Don't have to completely get out of something to try
- 1:46:30Speaker 6: to help you get back on track of doing what
- 1:46:34Speaker 6: I invented. Something forward, big Kenny, okay man, just have
- 1:46:39Speaker 6: two beers. I'm glad you liked what I created, but
- 1:46:43Speaker 6: I didn't want you to get intoxicated every night. You
- 1:46:46Speaker 6: could just buy two beers and drink them.
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: Now he needs twenty four.
- 1:46:50Speaker 6: You're telling me I got to go out of the
- 1:46:52Speaker 6: beer making business completely. I'm just saying smoking. Nobody served
- 1:46:59Speaker 6: bad on this corner anymore.
- 1:47:02Speaker 2: Now. If you go get it somewhere else, that's on you.
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: But I'm just saying you've been smoking to me, And
- 1:47:08Speaker 2: that might be what he's saying.
- 1:47:09Speaker 6: He just wanted to see two hundred and fifty dollars bets, right,
- 1:47:15Speaker 6: and he's getting twenty thousand dollars. He wasn't expecting that.
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: Y'all out here thinking this is some kind of investment. Yeah,
- 1:47:23Speaker 6: you didn't put your kids college fud on the rams,
- 1:47:27Speaker 6: you know, I wasn't. I wasn't trying to get you
- 1:47:30Speaker 6: to do that. It's not we'll be back more than
- 1:47:33Speaker 6: Sports Jock Show.
- 1:47:33Speaker 11: Right after this, John boor Wayne Born of the Sports
- 1:47:59Speaker 11: John Show, would Wayne Dan videos coming up next?
- 1:48:02Speaker 2: And now let's talk about something exciting life insurance.
- 1:48:05Speaker 3: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:48:08Speaker 3: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:48:12Speaker 3: have life insurance.
- 1:48:13Speaker 27: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:48:15Speaker 27: just getting started with our family and thought we live
- 1:48:17Speaker 27: forever life insurance. Well, what's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:48:23Speaker 27: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:48:25Speaker 27: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will

- 1:50:53Speaker 2: Guys?
- 1:50:53Speaker 6: You know, ask you some of your friends about this.
- 1:50:55Speaker 6: We'll talk about it again on Thursday. That was the
- 1:51:00Speaker 6: thinking when I when I made the example of like
- 1:51:02Speaker 6: taking something and it's funny. The first thing jumped in
- 1:51:07Speaker 6: my mind is the man or woman or family or
- 1:51:11Speaker 6: whoever invented the funnel, you know, the funnel to get
- 1:51:18Speaker 6: liquid in the car, in the car and the all
- 1:51:21Speaker 6: never envisioned walking into a fred house and Big Kenny
- 1:51:27Speaker 6: down on one knee with commands you Greg, holding the
- 1:51:34Speaker 6: of the cake into the funnel. He didn't have that
- 1:51:39Speaker 6: ring until I faint or go that's what, that's what,
- 1:51:45Speaker 6: and let it speel down in front of my face.
- 1:51:47Speaker 2: He wasn't expecting that, but thank you, sir. Sometimes it texta.
- 1:51:52Speaker 6: Collaboration my genius and your genius together may bear funneling.
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: And that's why I said the guy from uh that's
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: running Draft.
- 1:52:02Speaker 6: Kings he might be and woke up like hold on,
- 1:52:04Speaker 6: I was just we were just gonna have a little
- 1:52:06Speaker 6: fun and we were gonna laugh.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: I bet you, I bet you two dollars. You can't.
- 1:52:11Speaker 6: And now it's you know, you see tuition numbers coming
- 1:52:15Speaker 6: on his board and people talking, and I'm quite sure
- 1:52:18Speaker 6: he's polling all kinds of people that aren't working that
- 1:52:22Speaker 6: are gambling as a job, and gambling is playing. Being
- 1:52:28Speaker 6: a professional poker player and gambling is two different things.
- 1:52:36Speaker 6: Betting on poker player is gambling. Yes, you playing poker
- 1:52:41Speaker 6: to try to as a that's you actually working. But

- 1:53:09Speaker 6: Remember they're not actual games. He's not at the you're
- 1:53:14Speaker 6: not betting. You can bet on the person just like
- 1:53:17Speaker 6: when you're shooting dice. Yeah, is that not true? Some
- 1:53:23Speaker 6: people only bet when they rolling. When you rolling, they
- 1:53:26Speaker 6: get off the table when it's their time they put
- 1:53:29Speaker 6: up bets. That's their mentality. I bet on myself. I'm
- 1:53:33Speaker 6: more of a guy like that. You're more likely to
- 1:53:36Speaker 6: get me to bet you with some money for something
- 1:53:39Speaker 6: like spades or trunk that I'm actually playing and to
- 1:53:42Speaker 6: be betting on commanding Greg. Now, Greg watching the boy, Yeah,
- 1:53:47Speaker 6: watching over there and missed that whole cut. You know
- 1:53:55Speaker 6: through that joke out you got your joker cat. You
- 1:53:58Speaker 6: ain't even paying attention when I in him on.
- 1:54:00Speaker 8: Feller should have hit that man on that tunk so
- 1:54:04Speaker 8: he wouldn't go and lay down on us and go
- 1:54:06Speaker 8: get the money we had to pay him.
- 1:54:07Speaker 6: Dop down in the Caribbean, off the coast of Turky Kekos,
- 1:54:12Speaker 6: young lady trying to get a selfie with a shark.
- 1:54:17Speaker 6: Y'all know where I'm going with that? No, no, no, no,
- 1:54:20Speaker 6: no no, let me I know where you're going. Trying
- 1:54:22Speaker 6: to get trapping with the shark. Said shark gets noticed
- 1:54:27Speaker 6: by the NBA. Now it's in the Dunk Contest for
- 1:54:31Speaker 6: the next year.
- 1:54:33Speaker 13: That's not it.
- 1:54:34Speaker 2: I don't know what it could. We wanted to get
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: a closer shot, get a deal, so she lives her
- 1:54:44Speaker 2: life or a body Is there.
- 1:54:46Speaker 6: A body part? So she reached her hand to get it.
- 1:54:50Speaker 6: I guess she was trying to get the shark's face up,
- 1:54:53Speaker 6: face up right, bet her hand on, better hand off,
- 1:54:57Speaker 6: and there's.
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: No deal in this wish. I had this great.
- 1:55:01Speaker 6: Information to be able to a this epiphany of how
- 1:55:04Speaker 6: the sun rotates on the axis of something else.
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: But it's really just simply man versus shark all the time,
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: all the time.
- 1:55:16Speaker 6: Sharks are not pets commands. If you didn't know, they're not,
- 1:55:20Speaker 6: they're apex predators. This would means that they're leisure They
- 1:55:24Speaker 6: attack with yes, yeah, sometimes they're not interested. Now you've
- 1:55:28Speaker 6: seen them on James bond Is Pets. They have them
- 1:55:31Speaker 6: a bond I would like to introduce you to my pets.
- 1:55:38Speaker 6: And I felt sorry because.
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: Did you I don't feel something? Did you really? Yeah?
- 1:55:43Speaker 6: Because I know this, this selfie picture thing has driven
- 1:55:46Speaker 6: people to do things, fall off buildings, and.
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: But you got them. You got to know that the
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: shark is not gonna bite you.
- 1:55:56Speaker 9: I was raised with, hey, don't take no picture with
- 1:55:59Speaker 9: that show are chomp what you get trying to take
- 1:56:02Speaker 9: a picture with the shop?
- 1:56:03Speaker 2: That's how you know? My folks would have been on something.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: Oh that's what you get.
- 1:56:07Speaker 6: You should have known better than I mean, it's not
- 1:56:09Speaker 6: anything that. This wasn't an attraction of what body of
- 1:56:13Speaker 6: water she was in and where was she around in
- 1:56:15Speaker 6: the Caribbean around the Turkic Kickos area, So she was
- 1:56:19Speaker 6: down there, just somebody had to convince her that she
- 1:56:22Speaker 6: saw someone else do it and they got away and
- 1:56:24Speaker 6: it had to be just stupidity.
- 1:56:27Speaker 9: I would have man on her part, just you know,
- 1:56:29Speaker 9: adventurous adventure gone wrong. Some people think that things will
- 1:56:33Speaker 9: turn out in ways they see them in US.
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so and female shopper over in Memphis, stop, that's enough.
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: That's enough, Female mephis. You could take us. You could
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: take us out right there, Memphis.
- 1:56:55Speaker 6: Woman's band from every US Walmart and for she's been
- 1:57:02Speaker 6: accused of checkout scam. Self checkout scam, so for you
- 1:57:07Speaker 6: to check out what she was doing. She took an
- 1:57:09Speaker 6: old watch battery that registers as a dollar and she
- 1:57:17Speaker 6: used it as the pricing of all her items. And
- 1:57:24Speaker 6: she has been caught found guilty of stealing from Dick
- 1:57:27Speaker 6: Sporting Goods, Nordstrom's rack, Walmart, CVS, and Walmart saying we
- 1:57:34Speaker 6: had enough, you take that back to north Strom.
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: Is this why they?
- 1:57:40Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying, Because Nortrom hadn't taken a
- 1:57:42Speaker 6: stance yet, but Walmart is like.
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: We we're good, even though Nortrom has self checkout at
- 1:57:48Speaker 2: the rack. So you know, but I don't know why.
- 1:57:56Speaker 9: I'm sure she's probably the most prolific because so many
- 1:58:00Speaker 9: people have gotten comfortable taking advantage of self checkout, Like
- 1:58:04Speaker 9: it's amazing the things that you see.
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: But just to have the all that energy to do that.
- 1:58:11Speaker 6: But imagine the money she's gotten. If all of those
- 1:58:14Speaker 6: stores have she's popped up on their radar for doing it.
- 1:58:18Speaker 6: She's killing their bottom line just in the Walmart alone.
- 1:58:22Speaker 6: If you get I mean, just think about it. If
- 1:58:24Speaker 6: you get eighty five dollars worth of merchandise for four dollars,
- 1:58:28Speaker 6: like you know, that's a lot of theft. Yes, she
- 1:58:31Speaker 6: was using an old watch bar code to a battery,
- 1:58:34Speaker 6: and she's one dollar a dollar she was ringing up,
- 1:58:38Speaker 6: but everything was a dollar.

- 2:01:01Speaker 6: sue somebody else because they didn't portray you in the
- 2:01:04Speaker 6: right lights. Come on, come man, She agreed. They also
- 2:01:09Speaker 6: said they didn't read the whole contract. But I don't
- 2:01:14Speaker 6: know if that's one community.

- 2:01:21Speaker 6: I don't think that's I don't think that's on Netflix
