An ICE officer fatally shot Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston — the officer wasn’t wearing a body camera because the agency hadn’t received them yet, blaming government shutdowns for the delay. Half of ICE’s field offices now have cameras, with the rest expected to be outfitted within 60 days. Salgado, who’d lived in the U.S. for decades and was working toward legal status, had no criminal record.
