- Daniel: Georgia dominates an SEC opponent. And Clint, I've got three words that I'd like to share with you and with everyone as we give our immediate reaction to this beatdown of Arkansas. The three words I'd like to share are Robert Michael Bobo. Clint, he is the offensive coordinator for your Georgia Bulldogs, and he is. Clint: Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Go. Okay. Yes, yes, yes. Daniel: The best offensive coordinator in all of college football, and he has the number one scoring offense in the history of UGA football and the number one scoring offense in America. An offense that just went on the road to Fayetteville against an SEC team and put up forty five points and pulled their starters after three quarters. That's what Robert Michael Bobo is doing. ⁓ and yet there are still people listening to this. Clint: Yep. Yep. Correct. All of that is true. Daniel: That would like him to be relieved of his duties. Clint: I just I really quick question, Daniel, because I I've heard that the only reason is because we didn't have any downfield passes. I literally mid-game, people over on X saying, I'm sick of a run, I want downhill passing. As well. Well, we actually started the game by doing so. Dandritch called in. Radell had a touchdown that if not for PI, he's catching part. All of these aggressive and by the way, how how many ⁓ how many quick screens did we do out there to Zokovia White today, Daniel? We had like probably what, ten of them? Daniel: Mm, yeah. There's maybe maybe one that I can recall. Clint: Mate the the one I recall everything else was the average target distance that that Gunnar had on passes was somewhere near seven, eight, nine down the field on these pass plays. They were incredible. I know we didn't pass a lot and Gunnar had some design runs in there, but ⁓ Mike Bobo is cooking and finding open receivers everywhere and finding incredible run game differential with this offensive line. We have some things to clean up. Rousher has some things to clean up on the offensive line. Daniel: Yeah. Clint: Especially with stunts. If any time there's an outside edge guy coming into the one or two gap, A or B gap, he he we're gonna have issues with that. And and specifically his son, Drew, needs to go ahead and get off blocks and settle back into his chair so that he can back up and do so. But Mike Bobo is the best offensive coordinator in all of college football. and and and I know there are head coaches that are calling plays. Like I I get that. I understand. ⁓ I Daniel: He does. Yeah. care about them. I don't care about anyone, anyone in Oxford, Mississippi tonight. Not interested. Mike Bobo is the best play caller, the best offensive mind in all of college football. We don't throw it downfield and yet Gunnar Stockton eleven yards per attempt today. Clint: Literally. That doesn't sa that doesn't sound right. That doesn't sound right. Daniel: Eleven yards per attempt, not per completion, per attempt. Clint: But my but my feelings are indicating to me, Daniel, that that's not correct. Yo, just Yep, there it is. Daniel: Well, your feelings are an idiot. Your feelings are an idiot, if that's what they're indicating to you. Yeah, that's that's just the Clint, we've been saying all offseason what this Georgia offense we expect it to look like. And over the first two weeks, it was clear Georgia was trying to get receivers engaged. It was trying to see what they had in the passing game, it was trying to get guys the ball, trying to get guys experience. We know we have a very experienced backfield. Clint: Yes. Daniel: We had a very inexperienced relatively wide receiver court. You saw that of the first couple games. But in this game, when Kirby Smart knows full well that over the last three seasons, Georgia's SEC road opener, seven-point win three years ago, one point win at Kentucky two years ago, and an overtime win last year at Tennessee. Kirby knows full well this SEC road opener not something to be trifled with. It's something that he's taking very seriously. And so when the rubber met the road and the offensive game plan needed to come together, Clint, lo and behold, we saw a physical dominant run game. I'm talking about a dominant run game. 254 on 42 attempts. The team averaged six yards an attempt. Clint: ⁓ Yes. Daniel: On forty-two carries. Six yards an attempt on forty-two carries. Clint: And there are some idiots out there covering college football, by the way, who are wanting air raid to be the way that they win games. Daniel: Yeah. Air raids. That's the modern college football. That's quote modern college football. And we said all off season, Clint, this power dominant run game led by an offensive line that by the way, I'd like to reserve the right for us to talk about th our favorite and maybe the best offensive lineman on this team. I might be ready to say he's the best offensive lineman on this team. I'd like to talk about him next. Power run game, dominant offensive line. What does it do? Well, it opens up downfield passing opportunities, which you saw with a long pass to Craig Dandridge. You saw in the form of eleven yards per attempt every time Gunnar Stockton dropped back to pass. Georgia gained more than a first down. Clint: Yep. Yep. Yes, absolutely. We didn't see the fourteen personnel, I don't think. Maybe the goal line with Zakey Hilton thirteen was in a bunch. Not just at the goal line. We saw it early and often. Elias Williams, by the way, ⁓ you're progressing as a blocker. Just you you're doing just fine as a blocker. ⁓ Ethan Barbour, ⁓ I again we lost and lucky, welcome to the sh we knew you were gonna come around. We knew you were gonna be here. You got that dog in you, that touchdown that you had. Daniel: No. Thirteen was in or thirteen was in. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Clint: That incredible across the field drag that you were able to make and keep running. ⁓ but Ethan Barbour is a menace to all defenses. You don't know what to do with this cat. He is going to scream you down the field and carry your sorry butt all the way to wherever he wants you to go. And then he's gonna chip off you and catch whatever he wants as well. Like he is the most complete tight end we have. Daniel: Mm-hmm. Uh-huh. He he Yes. Clint: Period. Daniel: I've never seen a person that more frequently chooses violence than Ethan Barbour does when he is on the the side I but Clint, speaking of choosing violence Clint: Best offensive lineman? Uh-huh. Daniel: His name is Zeki Hilton. And he's the best lineman on this team on either side of the ball. And I know. And I know. That's what I'm saying to you. He's a true freshman playing his third game. And he is that dude. Period. Clint: What but but Daniel there there was a there was a couple of whiffs that he had and he let guys get back to the passer and he let guys stuff in the backfield so he didn't make up for that and doesn't have athleticism as well as mean streak as well as toughness and strength. You you're clearly missing something there, Daniel. Daniel: ⁓ no, what I'm missing is that when Kirby Smart and Mike Bobo choose the guy who's gonna play the Jalen Carter role. Clint: There it is. Daniel: What are they looking for? They're looking for and I and I say this with all seriousness. They are looking for the baddest MFR on the roster. Without exception. They are looking for the dude that was a day in a David and Goliath situation. You send your guy and we'll send our guy. And our guy's gonna whip your guy, they're looking for the dude that you would send to be your guy. And that guy on this team is Zekai Hilton. Yeah. Clint: Yeah. Remember a couple years ago back when kickoff ⁓ back when kickoffs were were much much less regulated and much more like you're running at a wall of ⁓ Roman soldiers. Okay. Remember when Trayvon Yeah. Remember when Travon Walker was the guy right next to the kicker? Because all he did is he followed the path of the ball and was the Daniel: Yeah. Mm-hmm. High C T E rate. Yeah. Clint: the first one to be the bowling ball on the pins and try to disrupt what used to be the big wedge that you'd like literally lock arms and hands and and do that on. Okay. ⁓ all over the place. I know I'm and I'm glad we got that out of the game. I'm not I'm not advocating you bring it back, people. I'm just telling you that that was a bad man that did that, that stood right next to the kicker and followed the path of the ball. That was Trayvon Walker. That was Jalen Carter. That's Zake Hilton. That that's who he is. It's Daniel: Yeah. C T E. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Yep. Mm-hmm. That's that's this guy. Hmm. He's he picked up Chauncey Bowens. Like Jalen Carter picked up Jaden Daniels. He picked him up and he threw him into the end zone. Clint: It's phenomenal. Yes. Remember when ⁓ Mike Leach talked about possibly getting it very unpee thing to say that Mike Leach rest in peace. Remember he was talking about height challenged individuals and throwing them over the top of an offensive line for a touchdown? ⁓ Helton did that. Daniel: Uh-huh. Yeah. ⁓ huh. Yep. Yeah. He did that with a n with a full grown individual. A full sized individual. Clint: A a very large running back that is probably probably that without Dal out for the year, he he's likely our biggest back. Daniel: Yeah. This is ⁓ there's a physicality to this Georgia offense, Clint. And it is ⁓ man, it is absolutely sensational. I cannot get enough of it. Clint: Mm. Yes. It is. There are two things that are gonna translate all year long for this Georgia team. And and yes, can Daniel and I nitpick? And we could nitpick on the defensive side of the ball, lapses that we saw, blown coverages. We will it yeah. Daniel: We probably will later this week. Make sure you're subscribed to the channel. Make sure that you're following along in the newsletter, link in the description, all that. We'll nitpick. Yeah. Yeah. Clint: Please subscribe. Yeah. And we'll point out all the ways in which we need to get better. Kirby Smart said it going into half. So we we're okay. However, there are two things that are gonna keep translating as the season progresses. And it's the same thing that Texas fans say they're excited about Arch. If you are hanging your hat on Arch Manning winning you this year, you're stupid. You should have been more excited that Hollywood got that fourth quarter win. Alabama fans talking about what incredible quarterback you have. You don't have the trenches. You don't have the defense. Your defense is getting eaten alive. Bama. Okay. LSU tonight we're gonna see about Ole Miss. Last week talking about the defense physicality and the run game. Okay, LSU, I see you because you're actually fan talking a little bit of sense, which is crazy to see. Two things there to translate all year long: the physicality on offense, the ability to say, hey, Daniel: Yeah. Mm. Clint: We need a first down here on third and three and we're going to get it. We need a goal line. W look, we we know exactly where we're coming. Guys, we're we're telling you, we're overloading on a side. We're putting our baddest MFR at fullback. We we're coming straight downhill and we're okay. I beg you. We succeeded on all those plays. That's not the same that we did a couple years ago. Couple years ago we couldn't did anything. Daniel: Stop it. Stop it. Go ahead. We've not seen it in years, Clint. We've not seen it in years. Clint: Physicality on offense, the second thing that's going to translate, ⁓ linebackers wreaking havoc on pass rush. Daniel: ⁓ boy ⁓ boy. Clint: ⁓ my. This it's gonna stay all year. People, Chris Cole, Walker, Justin Williams, Raylan Wilson, by the way, who is just as stout of a dude in the middle, he is that Gandalf, like, you ain't gonna pass me, dude. Okay, he is he is that guy. But the rest of the people who are screaming towards the quarterback, like they are they have a diagnosable disease. Daniel: No. Uh-huh. Clint: And the only vaccine is at the quarterback. The those are the two things that gave me the greatest confidence after this game. Daniel: ⁓ huh. Yeah, I mean, you mentioned it Georgia had another game with three sacks on the season. That brings them to eight sacks on the year thus far. Now you may say to yourself, eight sacks? That's not that ver that's not that many. Well, let's assume Georgia's gonna play fifteen games this year, which I am fairly confident they are. Right? I feel Clint: Right. Right on average. Hold on. Feel good. I feel good. Daniel: Pretty good about the fact that Georgia's gonna play fifteen games this year. That means that Georgia is exactly one fifth of the way through the season, Clint. And if you extrapolate eight sacks over three games, over a fifteen game schedule, do you know what number you end up with? Why, it's forty, Clint. It's forty sacks on the season. That's double the number of sacks that Georgia had last year. Double. Clint: Yep. Yep. And again, the the three teams that were closest to the championship last year Miami, Indiana, Texas Tech, thirty five to forty five range of sacks, Daniel. Daniel: Yeah, the two teams that played for the national championship last year, one and two in the country in sacks. If you think it's a stat that doesn't matter, Kirby has brainwashed you because we sucked at it for the last two years, and so he was trying to be like, Look over here. Look over here. But no, sacks matter as much or more than anything other than turnovers in college football. It is the second best thing a defense can do, and the drop off behind second and third is insanely high. Clint: Yep, yep, yep. Daniel: So, ⁓ Georgia has it on offense. They have it on defense. And Clint, you know we're gonna be here all week talking dogs. Make sure you're subscribed. Oklahoma's coming to town next week, and Clint: Yeah. All week. Daniel: People are nervous. Clint: If we play I'm gonna change the voice. If we play this way against Oklahoma, we're gonna get BTA and run out of the building. Daniel: I'm not. I'm not nervous. I'm yeah. Clint: Play like this, you mean incredibly physically dominating run and stopping John Matthew, who by the way is the same level of quarterback as these two hacks. Daniel: No, I think he might be worse. I think John Mateer might be worse than KJ Jefferson KJ Jackson. I really do. He's Clint. I'm Daniel. Thanks so much for being here on Talking Dogs. We will be here all season long. Make sure you're subscribed to the channel. ⁓ and we'll see you guys next time. Clint: Mm. See ya.
