Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: You'll know when you're true to yourself if it feels like nothing is missing, right?
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: If something is missing, if something feels like it's missing, then you're probably not being true to yourself, right?
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: You're not being your authentic self.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the Beat till you see it podcast, where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also Logan, prize instructor, and fitness business coach.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: I've trained thousands of people around the world, and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: My friends, action brings clarity, and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: Each week my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it till you see it.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to the B.A.A.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: till you see it in our view recap where my coast and life Brad and I are going to dig into the authentic combo I had with Peter, Colette, also known as Polish Peter, in our last episode.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: If you haven't yet listened to that interview, feel free to pause its now, go back and listen and to Polish Peter and then come back and join us.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Polish Peter, I love it.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's on a zoom call.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: Does Polish Peter?
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's what he calls himself.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he explained it in the episode.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: I was kind of had a good chuckle, but yeah, a lot of his polish.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, there's that.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I hope I would hope he's polish.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: He better fucking be Polish if he's got us a poll.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he's not.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's Polish.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's from Poland.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: So there's that all right.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: So today's September 17th.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: Here's a deal, guys.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get down and dirty because you know what?
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: The day before we're quoting this, I'm a little annoyed.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: So we're in on this stuff.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: It is a whether or not people wanted to celebrate this date.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: We are celebrating it.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: It is national D.E.I.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: Day.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's September 17th.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's September 26th.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: It is National DEI day.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: National DEI day champions are nation's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion every September 17th, sharing its date with Constitution and citizenship.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: So, wow.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: With Constitution and citizenship days, I wonder if the people who are into DEI have ever read the Constitution or taking a citizenship test anyways.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_01]: It reinforces values of democracy and belonging.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: I am zesty today, community communities.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: Nationwide are encouraged to wear blue and you need to celebrate equity in act, a discover resources, participate in discussions and support initiatives that foster a truly inclusive society.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: So Brad put some stuff together.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, indeed.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, here's what each word actually means, but completely stripped of political
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: I did this.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, by the way, if anyone's triggered by the fact that we're done in DEI, they're already gone.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: So this is probably already gone.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but this is for our people who needed to explain that to their family.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think it's really important.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like DEI is just a supercharged macronauty.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: We told my dad that our government is going after people about they've shut down grants to universities because the university has a DEI class.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: But what is?
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: D-E-I.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: What does that actually mean?
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: The D stands for diversity.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: The E is equity.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: The I is inclusion.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: But D includes the presence of people with different backgrounds, identities, and experiences in a group or organization.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: So that's all.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: Different.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: This includes, but it's not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic background, right?
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you're poor, you're DEI, right?
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: National origin, so that could certainly be people from another country.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: It could also mean religion and also side note
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Every fucking person who's ever been in the military.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's your DEI.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: When we told my family members, we're like, you're DEI.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: All right, you are over 65.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: So that's an age thing.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: You are a veteran.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: DEI.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: There it is.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: You are like, I want to say that says you're probably D E I too.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the D. So E is designing systems so that outcomes aren't predetermined by someone's starting point.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not the same as equality giving everyone the same thing.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: This is equity.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Equity means adjusting for the fact that different people face different barriers.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, like, if you grow up in a poor area of town in the US, that likely means that your school has less funding, which means if you're able to be a straight-a student in your school with less funding, equity means that they see you.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: similarly to someone who went to a very high-end school versus like, oh, well, you got a 3.8 at this school, but these people have 4.2s know they're like, oh, hi, that's insane.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's amazing.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: Whoa, we should look at that.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's adjusting, yeah, exactly.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's adjusting for the fact that there are different barriers of entry, right?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what equity is.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: There's also, like, there's a really interesting thing you can see it on YouTube.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: It was going around in during 2020 and 2021, where they just pick people on a starting line and they ask them questions.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: right, did you have this, did you have that growing up, did you have this growing up, and you've to take certain steps forward or backward?
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: And then you look and you see people of different socioeconomic backgrounds and races often are behind other places.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: And it doesn't mean that we take these other people down.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's that we actually go, oh, we should actually account for that and give these people an opportunity to even the drawing.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: We give them a better opportunity at life.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: I, stands for inclusion, whether people who are present actually feel welcome, they feel heard and they're able to participate fully or whether they're just technically in the room, right?
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: Make it sure that everyone has a voice.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's like in the 80s or not.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember when they for oh well that that board has a woman on the board, but she doesn't ever get to talk and her points are never listened to, then it's not so actually included.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: She's the token
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: Who is included in DEI?
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: This is where it often gets, I'm just going to sum it all up.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: This is often where it gets misunderstood.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: DEI frameworks were born out of civil rights and anti-discrimination work.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: So in practice, the groups most often centered are black, Latino, Hispanic, indigenous, Asian, women, LGBTQ plus people with disabilities and veterans.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: However, the framework itself
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: is not exclusive to those groups, a white man from rural Appalachia with no college degree is considered diverse in a room full of Ivy League professionals and equity would ask whether he has had the same shot at advancement, right?
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: but they would never tell that guy that.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the political fight isn't really just about the definition.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's about whether these frameworks produce fair outcomes or create preferential treatment, right?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's the, that is where the argument is.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: Is it right for us to give a voice to the guy from Appalachia?
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Are we giving preferential treatment to him or is it producing a fair outcome?
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where, you know, that's, now that's where opinion comes into play, right?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's about that and whether institutional program is built around DEI actually deliver on the premise or become performative checkbox exercises, right?
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: So it's definitely easy to just turn into a checkbox exercise.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this is where reasonable people land under different places.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, look, I don't know that DEI
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: mandates of wrong word, but values and a company are always going to be perfect.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think everything is going to have flaws and there's always going to be blind spots to different things, just based on experiences, no matter where you land on the board.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think that punishing people because they have DEI as a value system or something that's important to them is wrong.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: And also just assuming that somebody who is of any of the things we said,
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: got there because they were just gifted a thing.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: is just ignorant.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's just the way it also be wrong.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's wrong to assume, oh, there's a person of color or a poor person or a woman or a queer person in a job.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's because he, I know every person who interviews for a job still has to get past the interview.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's still have to get there.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's so interesting to me how people
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: We all benefit when there's different people at this- Oh, that's that's a ran.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you go look at any corporation that focuses on diversity in their company, they perform better as a company.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's not even any question.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: What are you saying?
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't know.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: We obviously have a close reader, but I just think it's really important.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: If you're listening this, there's a good chance you're probably DEI too in some way.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: And if you have family members who are really like, they roll their eyes at those letters, I certainly encourage you to look up and see if they fall and under DEI and explain it to them.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: Because it would sound like as they've been brainwashed, that people are having a leg up on them, which is not true.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: And if they just recognize that they also fall under this things, there are systems for them.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is the thing that frustrates me the most.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: There are systems for people.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: who think that the world is against them.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: There are these things.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: You have to look them up.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's really frustrating.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: But there are these things.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: I hear about different things that Vegas offers people and different socioeconomic backgrounds and homes, I didn't even know existed.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, how are people hearing about this?
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: But we do have...
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're watching the pit right now.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: Literally, Leslie's on the third time through, I'm on the second time through.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: And there's in season two, there is a enhanced guy who he needs a bath really bad, right?
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: And he gets into, they, they, they clean him up and they start talking to him and everything.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: And the charge nurse, the head charge nurse says, you know, you need to work the system.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: The system is there to support you.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: You have to learn how to work the system.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right?
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: And, and so it's, she's that wrong.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: We have some incredible people on our teaching team and our team who had things that are outside of their control, just terrible things that just have sideline their dreams.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: And not only did they work the system, and yes, it requires you being on long phone call, holds and doing the paperwork and keeping the receipts, but their kids are benefiting from it.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: And so do it.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: In a good way.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: Do it.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: And also,
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: We are voting in the next lesson 60 days.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: Please consider how you are voting and who supports people.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well, first off, make sure you vote.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure you vote.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: You can vote for everyone, but also I think about how that person feels about other people.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know?
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, we're going to get into it.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about what's coming up here and what our travel is.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Blifter uplift teacher training program.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: We actually, um, onboarding our instructors as fall.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: So educators are educators for that this fall and uplift is for people who want to become a wise instructor or people who have had partial trainings who would like to make it a comprehensive training so they can have a career along Jevity in this career.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: So if you are interested in my uplift teacher training program,
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: and being able to do that in person with one of our educators, xxll.co-w-w-s. No, we still don't have a link for all these things, but we'll get there.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: Probably next year, it's a 20-27 goal.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Elvite, that is my mentorship program, such for those of you who are, if you're like, oh, I would love to learn from you, but I'm already trained teacher.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's elevate.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: We have a few spots left, and you can actually watch.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we might be sold out by the time you hear this in September, but yeah.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we'll see.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: The very least get on the wait list for a future.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: Just go and check and you never know.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll figure out a better way to this stuff.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: A lesson logon.co's like elevate.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: They should have learned about it and see if it's right thing for you.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, honestly, the reality is this, that 2027 is already sold out.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: 2028 is almost sold out, right?
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: So if this is something that you're considering, it's getting further out in the future.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: So now is the time to start thinking about it because, you know, we might already be talking about 2029.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I won't even let them pick dates, so we're not even talk.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: But anyways, I want you in if you want to.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: Don't you want to win?
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not some of the latest thing, by the way.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's just people always, oh, I can't believe I got accepted.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's, yeah, you meet the requirements.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: And why you want to join is why I do the program.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's a kind of a first come first serve.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not one of those hierarchical goals.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Is that the right word?
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you nailed it.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, educators where you must have in teaching 30 years and you must bow down to me and be in my cold.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: No, I really, if you wanna learn from me and you meet the why we do what we do and what you need to have done, then it's a first come first serve.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: So there is no someone had this training and that's why they're in over someone else.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Nope.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: Also, our flashcards, did you know that if you want to support this podcast and you're not ready to be an OPC member, there's a way to support this podcast by buying our flashcards.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: And when you buy our flashcards, you don't just support us.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: You actually support the Nevada SPCA.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, no.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: And thank you.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: That can great work.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, OPC.me slash flashcards.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: We were able to buy all of the dogs in the, in the... Not just the dogs, Brad.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: We were able to pay for 114 shelter animals food for one week.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's amazing.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: And at the time, they only had 61 shelter animals, so we probably paid for two weeks of this.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I thought it was two weeks.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: We had the way that it worked out was two weeks were the meals for the animals that they had, the future pets that they had.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: And we're really proud of that, y'all.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is not just Leslie and I, this is your participation with online Pilates classes.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: We are so excited to be able to write that check, and we write it every quarter, and it's because of you.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: Do three stone.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: So stay tuned.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how many more animals we said or how many we paid for the adoption fees for anyways posters.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, people have asked us where the posters are found the OPC posters just got OPC.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, slash posters and then real quick, we're going to rip through this new.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we'll be in Sacramento.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: In October for Pilates on tour, plus it is sold out, but we'll be there and we'll be bringing the flashcards by the way.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then, Leslie and I literally leave our van and we take the Bart into San Francisco and we are going to hop in a plane to go to Cambodia to host our annual retreat there, which is also
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: What's been so far all the time, but you can get on.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: You're making a sound like no one can hang out with us.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: You can get on the weight list because we will not sell tickets to 2027 until January.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: So there is space in 2027 hang out.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: But you're on weight list for
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: In November, Leslie is going to be at a bloody summit in China, just outside of Shanghai.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: Still have no link for you.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: But I heard that they're promoting it on the Chinese socials.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it is up and out.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: We're working on that.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell your friends in China, because hopefully I can come a lot.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: be awesome.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in December less is going to India.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: She's going to be in Goa.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: There are spaces.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: And there are spaces at the Pilates on tour there.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: The POT there.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: So go to XLLCO slash POT.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: And Goa, you guys, I said yes because when you look at Goa, YouTube will say yes.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: And the way they do Goa is so different.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_01]: They treat it almost like you're going on a retreat.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: So your ticket covers the resort, the food, the whole thing.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, nice.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because if you food there too, it's great.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, of course, they're going to feed me.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: They always do, but everyone said, I meant the ticket attendee.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they get everything.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_01]: And it covers their, their end of resort.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: We're all on a resort together.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: Very cool.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be like the white lotus, but not no murders.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: no fairs awesome and then lastly literally flies from India straight to Denver which you know that we're in Vegas but I'm driving the van to Denver she's gonna fly from India to Denver and I'll pick her up and we're gonna hit the road for our winter tour for OPC.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're wild and crazy and people like I'm 30 years old yeah so come join us go to OPC.me slash events OPC.me slash events you're like oh I'm gonna do next years so you know I've accepted nothing
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: for the winter tour?
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, for any of these POTs or whatever, we have it at this moment that we're recording, we have, I've said, oh, I've said a one thing that I haven't had the contract on it yet.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: So it's true, that's true.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, actually, before we leave, hold on, stick around, stick around.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: We are very excited to talk about the charity of the week.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: So this week's charity is we're going to be highlighting the Americans for immigrant justice.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's a Miami based nonprofit law firm, fighting for immigrant basic human rights for nearly 30 years.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: Since 1996, they provided free legal representation because unlike criminal court, there's no guaranteed right to an attorney in immigration proceedings.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: We all know that the court provides us an attorney if we need one right.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: We do.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: We do.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: We get that.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but if you are an immigrant, if you're going through immigration proceedings, that is not a guaranteed right.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: Right, so what do you first of, you might not even know anything about our legal system and then what you're supposed to represent yourself?
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we have friends who, because of all this, I shit are being thrown into representing people because it's hitting the federal courts now, which is not normally how it goes.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: And they are having to learn immigration shit.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so this organization offers literally free legal counsel.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's all in the mind of the Miami-Dade area, so South Florida, but it's amazing.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: They've provided attorneys to more than 175,000 people from over 160 countries.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's a mainly provider offering on-site legal help at Miami Dades domestic violence shelter.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: They do not just immigration, but they also do violence like domestic violence.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: They've exposed the abuse of conditions inside detention centers in Florida and on the Texas border.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: And in 2025, they want a federal injunction blocking of Florida law that would have made it a felony for certain undocumented people to simply be in the state.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, this is a really cool and also I'm sure if you don't live in Florida, I bet you they have friends and put colleagues in different states.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're forced are rated by charity navigator.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Your donation actually goes to real on the groundwork for people who have nowhere else to turn and you can find out more at aijustice.org, AIjustice.org.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's really important.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's a lot of ish happening right now and it's it's very scary and it's all all meant to just scare.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's all scare tactics, but also these are real people who are being locked up in places that it's not how it's normally done.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: They're actually when people say do it the right way, a lot of these people are.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: They actually went to their immigration appointment, and they got picked up.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it takes a long time.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: So anyways, please take a look at how you can support people who have immigrated here in your areas.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: If this organization of work, there's probably a lot of different ways you can support those in your community.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: Do that.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and if you have a recommendation for a charity that we should investigate and check out send us a text 3109055534 or you could submit that to beitpod.com slash questions.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: You can also leave us a win for the Friday episodes, and if you know you know, stick around.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, let's talk about Peter, known as Polish Peter, and sometimes Polish Tony, for his Tony Robbins-esque style, is a transformational coach speaker and author, born in Communist Poland, Peter landed in Detroit in 1991, at the age of 14 with no English and big dreams of the USA, shaped by Hollywood movies, and he trained as an architect, but after the 2008 recession and a divorce, he found his way into coaching.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: They help people let go of the stories holding them back and ask the tough sobering questions that people need to hear rather than what they want to hear.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: He does have a book.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's called the authentic self rebirth.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll put the link in the show notes.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: So check it out below.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: But he's got such great energy.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, my authentic birth.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: You can find it.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: And he has a book there.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's free right now apparently actually.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he just pay for shipping him.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, awesome.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it was a great combo.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I don't ever remember.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: I remember when the 747s were falling out of the sky.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: Like they were having issues.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sure.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like two years ago.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_00]: Now, more like before COVID, but there was a, Oh, really?
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, maybe there weren't 747s, maybe where they were, remember the boat they were Boeing's.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: And there was two that the pilots were trying to do something and the computer was doing opposite thing.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then you were on a plane to New Orleans.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I had to get on a plane to Poland.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: And it was one of these Boeing numbers.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I started having a panic attack and you weren't answering your phone because you were on a plane.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was 2023, babe.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, definitely not.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: It was before COVID we lived in LA.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm texting you.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm gonna die now.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to smoke you.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, smoke you.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I love you so much.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: Here's where I go.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: This was your first trip to Poland.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: My first trip to Poland and they made me check my bag which you know how much I hate because I said it was too heavy.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: And so of course, I found some tequila and some kombucha and I made myself a margarita at the airport and I'm walking around bringing my margarita that I made and I get my someone's playing as it could take.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: If the plane takes off and nothing happens in 20 minutes, I think we're okay.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I set a timer and I'm just sitting there with my timer.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing happened.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody what you said.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I was just watching my timer.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: I was just watching the timer.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: I was watching 20 minutes ticked down, right?
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: Because I was like, if this is when it's going to happen, it's going to happen next moment.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: And this woman next to me, when there was no one in the middle seat, she was, I'm scared to fly too.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I was, oh yeah, normally no, but this is one of those planes that goes down.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just scared to be on this one.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: And she's our talking about being living in communist point.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: She did.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: And she told me it was so wonderful because she talked, non-stop.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: Even my time went off to just kept talking.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: And she told me her whole life trying to escape communist polling and how our family got to the US.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: And because in communist polling you couldn't have access to your passport.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: So you had a different reasons to get access to it.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then they watched you heavily when you had access to your passport.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: Poland and come to the United States.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's amazing.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and it was a beautiful story.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: It was just, and then she's like, and I'm going back to see family like this.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: So what would you do that, okay?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: But it's not obvious.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: But it was, I just, anyways, I thought of her when, I thought of that story and thought of her when, with Peter because how difficult for a family to come,
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: ear.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: And then to be a child, not even to Detroit.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: How many college people are to Detroit?
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't Detroit?
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't know English.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: And he just put you think Polish is hard.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: English is hard.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: So anyways, he operates.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: And this is probably why is because he operates under the belief that life happens for me, not to me.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I know we've all heard that before, but you really do have to think about that in a way that's
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: that helps you because shit happens and if you, you really can't think about, you know, it doesn't eat, he lost all the things and his partner and all this stuff and if he can think about this is happening for me and see the opportunities that are there to grow and to become a different person and to have a different life.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: So he definitely had some really good explanations.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: He said, imagine banging your head against the drywall like something's going to give.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: something will give.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: It will, and if you live at a flipped house, it will definitely give.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: But it's not good.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to do that.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: He said you should figure out what the root cause of the issue was going on.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we're going back in time.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I think a lot of us stick to the surface level.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: This happened.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: So this is the thing.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: But there's often a first domino that starts the effect.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: So he also
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: I really like when we talk about the different patterns that signal a wrong direction, and we have to pivot and my God.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: I know we all hate that word.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's still like a trigger word for us, but there's nothing wrong with a good pivot.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a pivot queen.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a great skill to have.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's also an important time to step back and reevaluate.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I was just talking about some elevate people this week about how sometimes they get so super focused on this one thing in a person doing it exercise and I love how you are a dog with a bone on that, but you got to zoom out because if you don't zoom out you're actually missing that these three things are happened, which is probably why the thing your zoomed him is happening there and if you don't zoom out.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: then you're actually going to be going in the wrong direction where if you zoomed out and made a pivot, it doesn't mean you're a bad teacher, it actually means you're you're going whoa, hold on, I have more information.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: And now I can take it's in the right direction.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: I know, that's it.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I really loved when he was talking about how do we know that we're being authentic because that's just be yourself.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: Just be authentic.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: I love this because everyone talks about being authentic.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's so annoying, but I love the word.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he said he said when you are
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: He said, you'll know when you're true to yourself if it feels like nothing is missing, right?
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: If something is missing, if something feels like it's missing, then you're probably not being true to yourself, right?
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: You're not being your authentic self.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: He also said that if you're living from the stories of what the world told you to be, not how you need to be, right?
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: So it's this goes back to all the
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: you know like parallel here is like magazines or society telling you what is how you should do it and it's not necessarily the right path for you right for me.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I agree.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know so I think it's amazing when you are pressured by something outside of you that could be your parents that could be your school that could be your
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: there's tension, there's obviously tension there.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes the pressure is good, they're helping you with your path, but you know if the pressure is not good, right?
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: It makes me think of my job that I had before I finally quit.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, look, my parents pushed me to be a better student.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: you know, that's a good thing.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: My job pushed me to do things that could I do those things?
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, should I do those things?
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: Probably shouldn't have done those things.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there was so much turmoil and tension in doing those things.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: But I was
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: I felt stuck.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: I felt super, super stuck.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: I need to get paid.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: I need to, you know, that's what's keeping me here is the only thing is keeping me here is the is the paycheck.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I, it became very clear over time, I can't keep operating this way.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: I cannot keep doing the things I'm doing, you know, because I am not being authentic to myself.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe in the things that I'm doing.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be doing the things that I'm doing, but I'm still doing them for some reason, right, and so, you know, I think that there's that internal frustration that you have and that is a huge indicator that you're not being authentic self.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think I look back at my other hand, where you tell what I do love and I'm really grateful for, but I kept taking promotions, exactly like the next thing to be better.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: The next thing to be better, and then I'm like, I gotta move cities, and that's gonna make it better.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's, you keep saying, and then once this happens, and it'll be better, and it's actually, no, if that's keep happening, there's something missing, and so you're not fully being authentic.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: And you gotta take some time to think about that means, and go get to know yourself.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, go watch Runaway Bride and see how long it took her to figure out eggs she liked.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it takes time.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, you know, I think the idea of
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: getting to know yourself will help you create clarity when you have that tension.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's really hard to step aside and reevaluate things.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: It often comes with major life change, you know, for him, he was talking about how getting divorced was a reality check and it made him do a lot of
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: both in flexion.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's right.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to correct you, but I don't think that's right.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: A self-implexion?
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's self-reflection.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's reflection.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: What is inflection?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: What does that even mean?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, this is when I'm reflecting my voice.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm in doing inflection.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm inflecting this way.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: I am doing it like this.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like inflection is like what you do with like sounds.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we're gonna inflect in just a minute.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: So stick around, we'll be right back when we, uh, we inflect on those weird action items.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, you guys, it's a Friday night.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely Thursday.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, right, welcome back.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about those.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_00]: Beat action items.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: What bull, executable intrinsic or targeted action items can we take away from your combo with Polish Peter?
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: He identifies as a recovering people pleaser.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: He said that if you say yes to everything and everyone except the things that are most important to you, what ends up happening most of the time is the people who are closest to you get hurt the most.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say that again, if you say yes to everyone else, everyone except for the things that are important to you, the people that are closest to you get hurt the most.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: That was really interesting to think about.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: You also pointed out that people who are always told to write business plans, but nobody ever tells you to write a vision for your own personal life.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that was also really intriguing.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, but let me go back to the thing about, you know, the people get hurt the most, are the people closest to you.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: Think about this.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: This is actually one of the things we talk about with OPC.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to put yourself first so that you can be the better you for your family, friends, co-workers, job, whatever it might be.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: For yourself, you have to put yourself first.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I was just watching a shitty reality show and these people were with terrible people and they're, you can watch the people, please, they're trying to make it work and some of those manipulation and coercion, but they're trying to, please, they're a way out of the situation and people.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was just some inflection.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: And other person feel really good, but guess who got hurt, they're friends, they're family people they cared about, because those people could see this partner is not good for them.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: And they could see what this person was doing, jumping through hoops to make this partner good for them.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: And it's ended up losing friends and losing connection with family members.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: And so you gotta be mindful.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: But I agree, your OPC example was perfect.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, the moving on to the business plan for your life, like writing a vision for your life, he said to stop being a people pleasing.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: He wrote out his own vision for his own life.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: And he blocked out personal priorities in his calendar to ensure those spots were not taken up by others or other commitments when he was usually saying yes.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: And he said the payoff was when people would ask for his time, he would say, hey,
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: Let me give back to you on that.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then he would go sit down and he would think, does this align with my vision?
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: Is this going to help me with my vision?
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: Or is it going to take me further away from my vision?
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: I have a filter, but also the sounds super selfish.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_00]: Does this align with my vision?
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: Is it going to help me with my vision?
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: Or is it going to take me for the way?
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think this selfish needs a rebrand.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right, so self-care is in selfish.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about that a whole lot back in the day.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: But the idea here is, yeah, it might sound selfish.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: But because he had not put himself first in the past his entire life fell apart.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_00]: So on round two, he was major change needs to happen.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to run all of these things through this filter of how aligned is this thing with what I need for me in addition to, I'm sure there's ways in there he can do both, but there are certainly things in there that will not serve him at all, and he's holding on a minute.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I can do this anymore.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_00]: So good for him, that's a really powerful thing to learn and now he's helping people.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I also definitely understand really bad when I say no to things that don't align with what I want to do.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's not about I don't feel bad.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Right, while this is going on, we were asked to be somewhere for an event and we're available.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: But it's the only month to be fucking home.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: The rest of the year, it's it.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: And so I said we can't make it because it's the only month.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm playing.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm really excited for you.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: And so, of course, I feel them formal.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: I feel, oh my god, are we letting people down?
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: And also, I can't do it.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: I will not be present enough for October events, November events, December events.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: I can't do it.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: So it's actually not selfish because going back to the people pleasing me.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: If I had said yes, then the people coming to our events the rest of the year are going
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I had to say no, and it's not selfish.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's self preservation.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, I like that he said literally every day be with yourself.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: I have to do this all the time, so I can't, I couldn't agree more.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: I actually get really annoyed when I can't be with myself for four plus hours.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's really important.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: Find ways to be with yourself.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: Some people want to be with themselves.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: Move movements.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: Some people want to be with themselves.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: Meditation, whatever, but you got to be with yourself.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: Without the podcast in the ear, I know this podcast.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: But so, as much as I want you to keep listening.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: Find 15 other minutes to be with yourself.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: Be with yourself.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: He suggested you're in front of a camera or a mirror and just be with yourself and just be quiet.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's cool, especially if you don't do things with the camera.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm in front of a camera all fucking day.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to see my face anymore, so most of my time with myself is not seeing my face.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: I really appreciate that, but then it's really hilarious as I'll be with myself for four hours and I'll put a camera and I'm like, wow, I walk the dogs like this.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: But anyways, I couldn't agree more because I think it's really important that you need to take time til you with you without any extra input.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm Brad Crowell.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: We're so happy you're here.
