- 0:00Ladies and gentlemen, welcome. To the three O take where we
- 0:04talk all things Major League Baseball, here's Kyle Corwin and
- 0:09Nate Reyes. It all starts right now.
- 0:15Welcome back to the three O take presented by Sea Kicks episode 5
- 0:19O1. I'll be your host Kyle Cord.
- 0:22I'm here with my Co host Nate Reyes.
- 0:25Nate. Officially on the road to 1000.
- 0:30First step, five hundreds behind us.
- 0:36I'm ready to move forward. Part of me wishes, I don't know,
- 0:40part of me wishes that we had done 500 to round out the year.
- 0:45Versus start the new year. Versus start the new year.
- 0:48But it's also kind of cool being able to kick off the year with
- 0:51500. I don't know.
- 0:52Either way, your point still stands.
- 0:55On to a, on to a. 1000, you know what I mean?
- 0:57I'm not here to talk about, not here to talk about past
- 1:01milestones. You know what I mean?
- 1:03Look into the next one. Yeah, that's right.
- 1:06That's why now we roll. You got something on your mind?
- 1:12I do. I.
- 1:13Lay it on me, Lay it on me. I I think, I think social media
- 1:22should ban position rankings for the MLB.
- 1:29I'm so glad you brought this up dude.
- 1:31I. Think it needs to just be
- 1:32removed. I am so over the like the fact
- 1:37that we're in the year 2025 and you still have people.
- 1:44Does not settle correctly in my head.
- 1:46Crazy. Crazy.
- 1:48Yeah, somebody said last year earlier today and I was like
- 1:5002023. Nah, wrong.
- 1:55No, but the fact that we're in the year 2025 and you still have
- 1:58people getting worked out like losing their minds in the
- 2:02comment section about like doesn't no ball.
- 2:07I'm not this isn't anything. This isn't related to us because
- 2:10we we stopped doing those rankings a long time ago.
- 2:13But you know, like any of these baseball outlets or whatever
- 2:16that put out like their their take on on different positional
- 2:19rankings or even all time rankings, which is a whole
- 2:22another conversation. Never went open though, but I
- 2:24can, yeah. How do you not know that this is
- 2:27just, it's click bait and you're getting you're you're you're
- 2:30losing? Sleep.
- 2:31You're falling into the trap. Come on.
- 2:34Falling into the trap I just I I think I've got to be honest, I
- 2:38haven't even looked at all the positions I don't need to look
- 2:41at all the positions. I don't even know if all the
- 2:42positions have been released from the MOB account, but the
- 2:47second I saw Byron Buxton listed above, Mike Trout in center
- 2:53field like I'm out, I'm out, I'm done Like I'm I can't I'm not
- 2:57going to look at these. Your TikTok is not going to trap
- 3:00me into into the whatever algorithm says.
- 3:03If you look at it a certain amount of time, it's going to
- 3:06continue to flood your feed with it.
- 3:09I'm not I'm done like it. These are awful.
- 3:12Everybody hates them and it it doesn't even matter because like
- 3:17you and I put a lot of thought, we put days of research into
- 3:23picking and choosing these rankings and it we.
- 3:27And for what? We got ruined.
- 3:30We got ruined in the comments section.
- 3:32It's a thankless job. It's a it's a winless job and
- 3:38let's just let it die. It's got to be done.
- 3:41It's got to be over. I'm all out.
- 3:45Don't need them no more. For the record, I still stand by
- 3:50our positional rankings from from years.
- 3:52Back like we for sure we. We had our case and, and you
- 3:57know, to the credit of some people that were falling along
- 3:59with those, they, we, we changed some minds, I think some
- 4:02rational, reasonable minded people.
- 4:04But then you just get the people that lose just go insane over
- 4:09the, over these position rankings.
- 4:11So yeah, I agree with you. I, I think it's time to just
- 4:14time to let it go. Let it go.
- 4:17Let's sit now. Let's talk some Let's talk.
- 4:27Let's talk some kind of Elsa guy, are we?
- 4:30That now that you want to talk about leaving stuff in 2024, the
- 4:35whole let it the, the Elsa reference every time somebody
- 4:39says let it go, we got to be better.
- 4:44We got to be. I saw, in fact, I saw a TikTok
- 4:47the other day where it was like, you don't want to be friends
- 4:50with this type of person. No, it was like, you don't want
- 4:53to be friends with this type of person.
- 4:54And it's the person that you mention any, any portion of a of
- 4:58a song lyric and they immediately break out into song
- 5:01of that song lyric. I got to say, I can't stand
- 5:05those people. But you might not get along with
- 5:08my wife then. Teach their own now pages.
- 5:12Pages are right. She's good people.
- 5:13The problem is that it's typically only like one or two
- 5:16songs and that's all she'll do for the week until I hate the
- 5:21song. And then you no longer want to
- 5:23hear it. And yeah, and then she moves on.
- 5:30ADHD, man, it's a wild thing. It's a wild.
- 5:33Thing Speaking of moving on, can I, can I just confess something
- 5:39true? I think I've moved on from
- 5:46giving the A's just, you know, just no, no, no, just making
- 5:53noise on on what the A's are doing.
- 5:58Are they are they spending money right now to avoid a grievance?
- 6:04Are they spending money right now to essentially check a box?
- 6:08Yes and yes. Do I care anymore?
- 6:15No, I do not. I like, I, I like watching the
- 6:21A's be forced to spend money. I like seeing the A's going out
- 6:26and retaining guys, bringing guys in.
- 6:30Brent Rooker, five year, $60 million deal.
- 6:33Am I disappointed for for Brent that he has to stick it out in
- 6:38Sacramento and and potentially Vegas depending upon how things
- 6:41shake out? Yeah.
- 6:43I mean, I wouldn't wish that. I wouldn't wish that upon
- 6:46anybody having to play, having to play your big league career
- 6:49in a, in a less than adequate ballpark, not even a Major
- 6:56League ballpark at that. But you know, I was thinking
- 7:02about today this the what's what's happening with the A's
- 7:06right now is a perfect example. It it's, it gives you a glimpse
- 7:10into the world of A, not a I'm blanking.
- 7:21It's what people have been calling for.
- 7:24Not a ceiling, not a ceiling. Floor.
- 7:26Yes, it gives you a glimpse into the world of what a salary floor
- 7:30would look like. And, and sure, I know it's more
- 7:32nuanced than that, but ultimately this is what you're
- 7:35looking at. Like you're looking at a team
- 7:37like the A's who otherwise would not be making these moves, would
- 7:40not be spending this type of money.
- 7:42They're going, well, you know, we got to do something.
- 7:46So they go out and they do something and they're not,
- 7:49they're not going out and and dropping $500 million contracts
- 7:53on, on guys, but you know, they're doing more than what
- 7:55they would have had this not been in place.
- 7:59Sure. I think it #1 if we're making
- 8:03confessions, I didn't know that that that Brent Rooker played
- 8:13for a few teams. I didn't either.
- 8:15I didn't either. This was the.
- 8:17Reason he was 29. I was like the twins when did
- 8:19this. Happen.
- 8:21They had no idea, had no idea. No, he had.
- 8:25I'm looking at it now. I mean, 2020, it's his first
- 8:28year on the on the Baseball Reference page, seven games, 58
- 8:34games in 2021, only 16 games in 2022.
- 8:39And then obviously 2023 and 2024 with the A's and where he kind
- 8:43of came out of the scene. I didn't know that.
- 8:46I If you asked me, I I would have guessed he was 26, 27.
- 8:53He's a late bloomer. He is and.
- 8:56That's totally fine. Like there's nothing wrong with
- 8:57that. I just I didn't know.
- 8:58I didn't know. So I'm going to confess that
- 9:00first next confession is that like I get mixed emotions about
- 9:06this because when you're a fan of other teams, you can't help
- 9:13but say like, oh, my roster would be great if they went and
- 9:17got this guy. I mean, there's certain teams
- 9:19and names that you can kind of fall back on a couple names
- 9:24around the league where you're like, well, that organization's
- 9:27never going to lock him down and keep them.
- 9:29Like, I wonder. And every deadline there's like,
- 9:32I wonder if we can get that guy and just completely bolster our
- 9:35line up for our rotation. And he was one of those names to
- 9:38me where it was like, it seems like if he's going to play a
- 9:44bunch of games, he's going to hit 30 homers.
- 9:46That's just kind of how he is. And it was like, man, like, I
- 9:51would love to see if he was up for grabs at a deadline.
- 9:54I would love to see him go switch over to a, you know,
- 9:57competitive organization and pop off in the postseason.
- 10:00So like, it's a mixed emotion thing for me.
- 10:02Now, don't get me wrong, I can the A still move him under
- 10:06contract, Of course. Can he still get shipped out of
- 10:10there? Sure.
- 10:10This is a fairly friendly deal. Yeah, fairly tradable deal.
- 10:15So it's like, that's still a thing.
- 10:18But like it, yeah, it was weird. I had like a weird like, Dang, I
- 10:24wish I could have seen him go elsewhere while he's in this
- 10:28like shorter late bloomer window.
- 10:34That late bloomer's half. That's just the way it goes.
- 10:38Like, let's face it, Aaron Judge, late bloomer this this
- 10:41window isn't going to be forever so.
- 10:45Also, technically speaking, he is 30, just turned 30 a couple
- 10:48months ago. Even worse.
- 10:51That makes me feel even worse. Yeah, so.
- 10:54But you know, good for Brent. Like this is going to be your
- 10:57like this is going to be this, yeah.
- 10:59Like this is going to be the bag that you get when it when it's
- 11:01all said and done. Like this, obviously with the
- 11:03with the stage that he's at in his career, like this is going
- 11:07to be big. But this is, you know,
- 11:09comparatively to what he had been making, this is.
- 11:12That's what I'm saying in life change 2022, you're 27 years
- 11:15old, you're not getting any time, you're not getting any
- 11:19opportunities and you're like, I feel like I got something in the
- 11:22tank. I mean, there's a lot of guys
- 11:24that hang it up at that point. If you're not cracking in by
- 11:27232425 years old, if you're not on the scene impacting a big
- 11:33league roster, like more often than not, you see those guys
- 11:35hang it up, especially if they're, you know, quad A type
- 11:39guys like this. So I'm glad to see that he stuck
- 11:43around. I'm glad to see that, like late
- 11:45bloomers are awesome. This is a good story for any guy
- 11:48that's maybe hanging around in AA AAA that's, you know, in that
- 11:51mid 20s or age where it's like, dude, just hang tight.
- 11:54Someone's going to give you a chance.
- 11:57And he did. And like, no, it's not an
- 11:59astronomical bag. It's not a ton of money that
- 12:02you're seeing. He's not a superstar, but like
- 12:05good for him, good for his family and like that.
- 12:07That's I think it almost more realistic dream and story when
- 12:14you talk about Major League Baseball players, something
- 12:19that's can be obtainable. It's very, very it's already
- 12:23rare to get in the league. It's even more rare to be a
- 12:26superstar and make, you know, contracts in the hundreds of
- 12:30millions of dollars. So to have this, it's like, you
- 12:33know, this is cool, man. This is a good story.
- 12:36He's easy to root for and he's going to hit probably 40 in
- 12:43Sacramento this. Is a classic.
- 12:47Brent Rooker is a classic case of be ready when your
- 12:51opportunity comes along. Yep.
- 12:55You know. How many coaches told you that
- 12:56growing up? Like it's every coach, every
- 12:59level. And you just I don't think you
- 13:02could really never clicks. Yeah, it could never it, it
- 13:05never really clicks. But there's there's certain
- 13:07cases like you were saying that like these these stories are
- 13:11already rare enough. But when you get a guy like
- 13:13Brent Rooker, who, as the cliche goes, stays ready so he doesn't
- 13:19have to get ready, like this is a perfect opportunity because
- 13:22like you were saying, you look at the just the games played
- 13:24alone with the way that his career had shaken out. 2022,
- 13:29he's playing 14 games. Yeah.
- 13:33Well, yeah, no, 1616 if you want to tackle the two.
- 13:38Yeah. If you want to tackle the two
- 13:39with the Potters, 16 games before things really, really,
- 13:44really take off for Brent Rooker.
- 13:45So this is just it's an awesome story.
- 13:47And like I said, it's it's going to be the bag that that he gets.
- 13:52Yeah, I think it also speaks to like, I think we're getting a
- 13:56little numb to those younger superstars, the Tatis's, the
- 14:00Juan Soto's, the guys that come in at 1920 years old.
- 14:02And we're just like, oh, the league's getting younger.
- 14:06Like the league's getting better earlier.
- 14:08Like that's still rare. That's still insane.
- 14:12It's very normal to have peak athleticism in that 28 to 30
- 14:16range. And that's what we've seen free
- 14:19agents, you know, hitting free agency for the first time for
- 14:21decades. Like this is what it is.
- 14:24It's you're still the athletic shape physically and now you're
- 14:29your mentals are getting correct because you're at that age of
- 14:32maturity and it's almost like the perfect storm of an athlete.
- 14:36So let's not forget that this isn't as crazy.
- 14:41It's the young guys that are the crazy ones.
- 14:44And we were just talking about this what like a month or two
- 14:48ago where I'm just, I'm so over the narrative in sports.
- 14:53And it's purely result of what you were just talking about, how
- 14:56you get these guys like Tatis coming along and even, and guys
- 14:59like Soto, they come along so early and they just dominate so
- 15:04early that we think that this is, it's the normal.
- 15:11And that it somehow negates sort of the bell curve that that
- 15:15exists of it being OK to be 30 years old, not just in baseball,
- 15:22but any sport and still be like pretty successful.
- 15:25Like the, it goes back to that meme that I, I see come across
- 15:28my feet every now and then where it's like it's, it's from the
- 15:32perspective of like a, a sportscaster.
- 15:34And it's like, here he comes. He comes and steps up to the
- 15:36plate, 30 years old. It's a miracle.
- 15:39But can we chill? Talk like that?
- 15:42And I see. Just because you're, I feel that
- 15:44way when we get up in the morning.
- 15:46We're not professional. Athletes, we're not professional
- 15:48athletes. We're allowed to feel like that.
- 15:51Yeah. But it's, you're totally right.
- 15:52It's and it's the reality of it is, is you hear that narrative
- 15:57more in the offseason because we you're, you're talking about
- 16:00deals. You're, you're hearing about
- 16:02proposed contracts, what guys are looking for, Well, is he on
- 16:06this side? Is he on this the, the right
- 16:09side of 30 or the wrong side of 30 is stuff like that.
- 16:11So you hear more and more of that, but it's like, let's not
- 16:13forget that you're allowed to be like, you're allowed to look at
- 16:18an athlete who's, say, 31 and go, he's still like, there's
- 16:23still potential that he could go on and have, Oh yeah, multiple
- 16:27successful seasons from this point out.
- 16:29Oh yeah. It's not that far fetched.
- 16:32Still plenty left and I don't know, like you, you can't.
- 16:38The league isn't going to be filled with 23 year old future
- 16:42hall of Farmers. It's just it's just not how it
- 16:44works. You can still have successful
- 16:46seasons and and teams and rosters and whatever you want to
- 16:49call it, like in that 30 to 33 range, like there's still plenty
- 16:55of success there. Now, are we saying go sign that
- 17:00guy to a 10 year deal? No, those are the deals that are
- 17:03typically biting people in the booty.
- 17:05But I think you can still find success in your in your young
- 17:1130s and especially with a body that's like probably not as beat
- 17:15up, you know what I mean? Like Brent Rooker is arguably a
- 17:19healthier 30 year old than what you would see because of not
- 17:22having to go through years and years of, you know, flying and
- 17:25traveling and hotels and injuries and rehabs and, you
- 17:29know, all that kind of stuff. So yeah, five year deal makes
- 17:34sense. Does he stay in a the whole
- 17:36time? Does he get to see the new
- 17:38stadium in Vegas? We'll see.
- 17:45Speaking of age, let's switch gears here and talk about a guy
- 17:50even further down the line. 45 What is he 42?
- 17:5642 Justin Verlander signs a one year, $15 million contract with
- 18:01the San Francisco Giants. Look, I'm just going to go ahead
- 18:07and say it. I and I'm going to get out in
- 18:10front of this because we know me, the people listening, the
- 18:14people watching know how you tend to lean when it comes when
- 18:18it comes to giants talk. So I'm going to go ahead and get
- 18:21out in front of any potential negativity coming from your
- 18:24direction talking about well, I just don't get it.
- 18:26I just don't get it. And I'm going to say I like this
- 18:28deal. You know, he's 42 years old and
- 18:32people may balk at that and they go, I don't care who it is, it's
- 18:3542. I disagree.
- 18:37You know what I say? It does matter who it is.
- 18:40We're talking about Justin Verlander.
- 18:42This guy's going to be pitching to those 45 years old.
- 18:45So this we're not even, we're not even at the end of the road
- 18:48here like we're we're still looking at a AA23 year span.
- 18:53I'm sure that he's trying to, he's trying to run out here.
- 18:56So this isn't even the final stop for Justin Verlander.
- 18:59So even if it was, I'd still like this deal.
- 19:04It's one year, it's $15 million. That's pennies of, of that's
- 19:10pennies out of the bank that you've been trying to empty for
- 19:13years, as we've talked about on, on anybody and everybody.
- 19:18So you know what, you get a, you get a, a surefire Hall of Famer
- 19:21in here. You know, we talk all the time
- 19:24about veteran presence in the clubhouse, how important that
- 19:26is. And you get you, you have a
- 19:31realistic chance for a guy to come into a pitcher friendly
- 19:34park and possibly have can we call it a renaissance?
- 19:41Like I know we had a down year. He's coming off a down year.
- 19:45Yeah, that's what I was looking up.
- 19:48Would you say the deal was worth?
- 19:50$15 million one year. Yeah, I, I mean, there's not,
- 20:00it's a pretty high reward if he, if he does what he's supposed to
- 20:03do. And, and, and last year I
- 20:07believe he made like a good chunk of starts before he ran
- 20:11into an injury. I don't remember what the injury
- 20:13was was it was like a it was something weird.
- 20:15It was like a neck injury or something like that.
- 20:19That kind of took him out last year.
- 20:22But if you look at the numbers before, he went out the first
- 20:25time for an injury. Shoulder and neck.
- 20:27Shoulder, yeah, so. If you look at the numbers
- 20:30before, I think he was dicing. I think he was kind of lighting
- 20:33it up. Well, he finished with, if we're
- 20:37talking last year, he finished with a 548 and had a whip of 138
- 20:41and he only, he only logged 90 in and so.
- 20:44But if you look at the the chunk of starts, I don't know how many
- 20:48start, maybe 5-6, seven starts before the injury, I think it
- 20:53was pretty good. I think he did OK.
- 20:56Let's pull up the old game log here.
- 20:59And it makes you wonder, it's like, well, let's face it, dude,
- 21:03he's 40 plus the body don't recover the same way.
- 21:09And maybe that injury was something that he struggled to
- 21:12get over and that's OK. Nothing wrong with that.
- 21:18So maybe he's fully healthy. Maybe he comes back and has a
- 21:23good spring training. Maybe he steps in to a rotation
- 21:29that is a very hodgepodge, strange rotation if you read it
- 21:34out loud. But is it competitive?
- 21:39Yes. Are the Giants at least taking
- 21:43steps in a direction? Yes.
- 21:48So I can't be that negative, but I can't help but feel like
- 21:55they're one of the most desperate teams in baseball and
- 21:59they reek of desperation. Yeah, but like I said, you, you
- 22:04could have, I don't know, you could take it one of two ways.
- 22:09You could look at it and say, well, you could maybe throw $15
- 22:13million for one year at somebody less risky.
- 22:16I'm taking I'm, I'm going the other direction with it and
- 22:19saying you're throwing $15 million at a guy who again, is,
- 22:25is a Hall of Famer and is very, I'll just call it likely to
- 22:33bounce back from last year. And when he bounces back, Justin
- 22:38Verlander on an OK day, you'll absolutely take that out of the
- 22:43five spot, which I think is what he's projected to be in that
- 22:47rotation. I'll take.
- 22:49I'll take. Justin Verlander out of the five
- 22:51spot on it with an OK outing every day of the week.
- 22:57So I like, I just don't even know.
- 23:01I don't know. Like I said, I'm not trying to
- 23:05be. I don't think there's enough to
- 23:07be too negative about this. There's a lot of question marks
- 23:12when you look at this rotation outside of Logan Webb, who you
- 23:16know. We all know.
- 23:18He we all know what he what he is and what he does.
- 23:22He got Robbie Ray coming back for an injury.
- 23:25Jordan Hicks had his flashes last year as a first, you know,
- 23:28first year as a starter. So we'll see there.
- 23:35You know, Kyle, Kyle Harrison had a a fairly solid rookie
- 23:42year, I would say maybe he steps in and and kind of lives up to
- 23:47the name a little bit. So like, yeah, when you slot in
- 23:51Verlander in that area, like there's a lot worse decisions
- 23:56you can make. But I would argue that it does
- 24:02kind of feel like they're just they always chase names.
- 24:06They just always chase names and they kind of fall in love with
- 24:10that. So I'm not going to sit here and
- 24:14and say it's a bad deal, but I'm not going to sit here and say
- 24:18the Giants are taking the West. Not that, not that he's
- 24:25obviously not looking for a one year deal, which I think is why
- 24:28his free agency continues to go on.
- 24:29So it's not the greatest example, but a guy take a guy
- 24:32like Nick Pavetta who's still available right now, would you
- 24:38rather throw because he he turned down the qualifying
- 24:41offer? So we'll just call, we'll just
- 24:44call it 20. Would you rather throw $20
- 24:46million at Nick Pavetta on a one year deal or would you would you
- 24:51rather throw 15 at Justin Verlander?
- 24:57Nick Pavetta is kind of a weird. I'm just confirming, looking at
- 25:00numbers. I mean, it's it's a it's a weird
- 25:05one because it's like, I think you know what he is at this
- 25:09point. Yeah.
- 25:14First full year as a starter for.
- 25:16Well, no, he had those early years.
- 25:18I didn't realize he was with Philly.
- 25:20Yeah, back in the day. I think he kind of just know
- 25:24what he is. He's he's going to give you an
- 25:27ERA in the fours and he's probably going to throw 150
- 25:31innings. Yeah, 150 is generous.
- 25:34We'll probably say 140 innings and you kind of know what that
- 25:38is. I think I'd probably take a
- 25:42Verlander because of what the ceiling is.
- 25:46You know, we're talking about last year being a really rough
- 25:52year for Verlander. You could argue would probably
- 25:56be a somewhat normal year for a Nick Pavetta.
- 26:00So you're right. I'd probably say give me give me
- 26:04old man Verlander and let's see what we can squeeze out of him.
- 26:10For the safe sake of a hypothetical, say, say you put
- 26:14Verlander and Nick Pavetta in the same scenario that both have
- 26:18down years. Who would you rather have than
- 26:21if if you're not getting the the value from him on the field in
- 26:25the clubhouse? In the pen, in the workouts, who
- 26:29would you rather have? There's lead.
- 26:31There's lead. There's something totally
- 26:33different when when the presence of a future Hall of Fame are
- 26:36first ballot, surefire top 15, arguably higher pitcher of all
- 26:44time that holds weight, that holds weight.
- 26:49There's a lot I can rub off into into youth, into just routine
- 26:59into just how about a guy goes, you know, how a guy goes about
- 27:02his business, how he treats other teammates.
- 27:05Like there is a lot that can just kind of fall into this.
- 27:09And yeah, I mean, you know, you talk about like, I saw this, saw
- 27:18this interview that someone, I don't remember what page it was,
- 27:21somebody was interviewing Royals Walt.
- 27:24They were kind of asking him about like the glory days and
- 27:27what he felt like wasn't, you know, his favorite rotation to
- 27:30be in. And he talked about when he was
- 27:32an Astro with Clemens and Pettitte, and he's like, you
- 27:37know, those guys have had a decade in the league at that
- 27:40point plus. And it's amazing to be able to
- 27:44be around those guys and see how they operate and just pick
- 27:48little things and take that. So if you're a young Kyle
- 27:52Harrison, you're like, yeah, if you're a Logan Webb who is on
- 27:57the upwards trajectory of having a solid, solid career, like,
- 28:02yeah, you can take whatever you can from a Justin Verlander.
- 28:05So yeah, you're talking me into it.
- 28:09I can't. I can't hate on it that much.
- 28:12I'm just not going to sit here and pretend like, you know,
- 28:16we're going to see a sub 380 inning Justin Verlander.
- 28:23I think those days are gone. No, but I'm in thinking more
- 28:30about it. I could see AI could see a
- 28:32three, five, Yeah, if you give me 35160 all day out of again
- 28:41out of the bottom of your rotation all day every day of
- 28:45the week, twice on Sunday, please and thank you.
- 28:51Speaking of things, we'd like to see Vladdy junior to the Sox.
- 28:57Give me give me a little more into this because I can't get
- 29:03there so. Well, it's it's from widely
- 29:07trusted source and MLB insider Bob Nightingale wrote that if
- 29:17the Blue Jay quote, if the Blue Jays do not sign Guerrero to an
- 29:20extension before spring training, he will test free
- 29:23agency next winter. And if he hits the open market,
- 29:25the expectation is that Guerrero would join the Boston Red Sox
- 29:29heading into 2026. Bob Nightingale went on to
- 29:35reference comments made by his friends who said that he would
- 29:39reportedly love to play in Boston.
- 29:42Which, you know, you can never go wrong there, right?
- 29:45You know, if the friends are saying it, it must.
- 29:49It must be on the on. The verge of sources.
- 29:53I don't think Bob's got any sources.
- 29:55How would you even go about finding the friends of Vladimir
- 30:00Guerrero Junior? He's got no source.
- 30:02Can we, can we, I, I think people just gloss over that and
- 30:05like, Oh yeah, you're talking to his friends.
- 30:06How, how do you, how would you go, assuming they're still like
- 30:11they're in the Dr. How do you go about tracking those people
- 30:15down? I don't know.
- 30:18I don't know. I don't know how.
- 30:20Look, I'm not trying to hate. Things are just done differently
- 30:23in the Dr. No, no, no, for sure, for sure.
- 30:25I'm talking about Nightingale. Yeah, but that's what I, I, I
- 30:29see videos of Vlad Senior just like hanging out, like wearing,
- 30:36like he's got a little belly now and he's just hanging out like
- 30:38wearing a polo and. Basketball shorts, as he should.
- 30:41At like, like an outdoor table and he's just hanging out with
- 30:45people and they're just like, they're just listening to music
- 30:48and he's just vibing like barefoot.
- 30:50You're just like, OK, like, yeah, you're just, you're just
- 30:54soaking it in, like, is Bob down there?
- 30:57You're telling me Bob's going down there and like seeking out
- 31:02friends of Vladdy? Like who are you calling them?
- 31:07Are they picking up your call, Bob?
- 31:09No, you know, no, I he's not. He, there's no way he's going to
- 31:14the Dr. You know what I think of when I think of.
- 31:16Bob Frosted tips, doesn't he? Who?
- 31:19Nightingale. Yeah, look up the picture.
- 31:23Get out of here. I think he's got frosted.
- 31:26Tips. There's no way he has frosted.
- 31:31Tips, get out of here. No, you know, I had AI maybe.
- 31:42No, I think he's just. I think he's just a blonde.
- 31:45It's like a bleach, bleach blonde guy.
- 31:48I don't know. I'm not going to comment on his
- 31:49hair. I don't know what's going on
- 31:51there. What I do know, though, is what
- 31:54I think of when I think of Bob Nightingale in the Dr. It's Toby
- 31:58from the office saying that he's going to Costa Rica.
- 32:00It's like that's just, that's just not, that's just not a fit
- 32:05that I see happening. That's just that's breaks his
- 32:08neck the first day. Yeah, he says I'll go to Costa
- 32:14Rica when I'm 65. That's Bob Nightingale.
- 32:18That's what I see. Watching Entourage in Spanish in
- 32:22the hospital, Yeah. That's Bob for you.
- 32:27Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying, man.
- 32:29I just, I don't know. Anyway, back to well, let's talk
- 32:32about the landing spot. Let's.
- 32:34Talk about the fit, the potential fit, first of all,
- 32:38well before we even get the fit, the money side of it.
- 32:41Yeah, first, I don't see him getting an extension before
- 32:45swing training. No, he has made it abundantly
- 32:48clear. I share the number he's wanting.
- 32:50$100 million short of what he's asking for.
- 32:53That's a big number. I'm I could not be more
- 32:59convinced that Vladimir Guerrero junior does not want to play in
- 33:03Toronto beyond this season. Yeah, like he could not be
- 33:07making it more clear. He, the Blue Jays could have
- 33:10offered $750 million and he said thanks, but I'm looking for 800
- 33:16million. That's what I that's what I
- 33:19genuinely believe to be going on here.
- 33:21So I'm not, I'm not going to be caught off guard or, or shocked
- 33:28at what he says yes or no to in terms of contract.
- 33:31And, and frankly, I don't think him saying that he's asking for
- 33:34450 million is entirely accurate.
- 33:37I think if the Red Sox will just use the Red Sox for the for this
- 33:42scenario, because that's who's rumored to be somewhat
- 33:44connected. If the Red Sox came out and said
- 33:47we'll offer you 360, my bet is that assuming all of their
- 33:53offers are are comparable, he's taking that tomorrow because I
- 33:58just don't think he wants to play in Toronto anymore.
- 34:01And quite frankly, why would you want to play in Toronto?
- 34:05Like, I know they kind of get laughed at as like the little
- 34:07brother of Major League Baseball because it's literally Toronto
- 34:10and nobody else. Very good things about the city.
- 34:12No, no, for sure. And, and it, it's, it comment is
- 34:16less about the city itself and more about just the
- 34:19organization. It it just seems, I don't know
- 34:23you. I just feel like you're out of
- 34:24the loop up there. They have severely botched all
- 34:31of all of this, all of the youth, the core, the
- 34:37opportunities to extend. They have royally botched this
- 34:45to the point where you want you got guys that want out.
- 34:50And yeah, I don't. There's no way he signs an
- 34:53extension before swing training. I would go ahead and assume you
- 35:00maximize an offer before the deadline.
- 35:05That's when he's going to be most sought after and I'm
- 35:11curious to see what team is in what position.
- 35:15I don't. I can't really specifically
- 35:17think of too many other suitors. The Mets, I mean, depending upon
- 35:25what happens with the Alonzo situation.
- 35:28Feels like the Northeast, doesn't it?
- 35:30Yeah, yeah. And.
- 35:32I didn't see like a Seattle pull in that trigger.
- 35:37No. And I think you and I, last time
- 35:39we talked about it, I think you and I differed on this, but I, I
- 35:42personally don't feel as though the Yankees are in the mix here.
- 35:47I think they're going to be in the running.
- 35:49Sure, for themselves, but in terms of what, Vlad?
- 35:53What he prefers. I don't think, I don't know, I
- 35:55don't think again, going back to his comments back, what was it
- 35:58at last year's deadline where he's like, you know, I, I take
- 36:01back what I said, the Yankees are this, that was a business
- 36:05move. Yeah, it was a business move.
- 36:07It was a business move. I think it's what's crazy.
- 36:10Is that like not crazy? What's difficult about having
- 36:14him land there? Is that like his dad played
- 36:18during the era of hating like everyone hated the Yankees?
- 36:23And so I think, you know, with his dad obviously being a, you
- 36:27know, advising him in these scenarios, like he's there's
- 36:32probably some bias there. So I think they're going to be
- 36:35in the hunt. I think that you will read about
- 36:38them being 1 of this five to seven teams that are, you know,
- 36:42pursuing him next offseason. But what I mean is, is there a
- 36:48team that is willing to take a shot at him as a rental and
- 36:55they're in a good position around the the deadline next
- 36:58year? And is that a Red Sox team that
- 37:02is performing well in the hunt? Let's try and get him to fall in
- 37:10love with this team and city during a post season run to give
- 37:14us somewhat of an advantage during the negotiations of free
- 37:17agency maybe. Or is it some kind of surprise
- 37:22team that says, hey, like let's go grab him for a few months.
- 37:29We probably won't be able to re sign him, but let's see what we
- 37:34can do with him in in this short, you know, little home
- 37:38stretch of the season. So I'm curious to see it, but
- 37:42he's got to hit free agency, right?
- 37:44I mean. Certainly.
- 37:49It's weird, man. Like I, I, I feel like we have
- 37:56an idea of players and then when that time comes of them hitting
- 38:02free agency, you almost like walk it back a little bit and
- 38:06you start hearing all these details of like their issues.
- 38:11You know what I mean? Like before this free agency, I
- 38:15was like, oh, Bregman's going to get whatever he wants.
- 38:17Like there's going to be multiple suitors.
- 38:19He's probably going to sign somewhere pretty quickly.
- 38:22And then you like, you start to deep dive.
- 38:24Like you remove the name out of it and you deep dive into
- 38:27numbers and you look at age and you just start looking at things
- 38:31as time goes like, oh, now I see why like Pete Alonso, Peter
- 38:38Lanza, I what did the Mets offer him like 90 mil?
- 38:43What was that offer? It was something terrible.
- 38:46No, but that that's what I'm saying though, is these guys,
- 38:50you know, careers, these guys numbers are even more so under
- 38:55the microscope during the offseason because that's all
- 38:57people do is that and that's all they have time for is they just
- 39:00sit around like, how can we dissect every angle of this guy?
- 39:05And these organizations more so are looking for ways that they
- 39:08can dissect and, and warrant or justify offering XY or Z in
- 39:16order to compete for one of these free agents or, or put a
- 39:19trade package together for one of these these guys that they're
- 39:22after. I have issues with Vlad guys 25.
- 39:29I have issues with Vlad in Boston just because of you're
- 39:33going to go and assume that this is AI can't see anything under
- 39:41eight years. I just it doesn't it wouldn't
- 39:46make any sense for anything under eight years.
- 39:53And then you're in a position where like you like Devers is in
- 39:56in flat, like flat is not going to be playing first base at 32.
- 40:01I don't see that. He's going to be a full time DH.
- 40:04By 30, well, something would have to give if he ends up
- 40:08embossing because. That's what I mean.
- 40:10Raffi's got the first leg in to that's.
- 40:12What I mean? DH slot before before Vladdy I
- 40:15would imagine. So do you do do the Red Sox, you
- 40:20know, make a run at that and say, hey, if we get a ring
- 40:25before then, you know, before that issue comes up, we get a
- 40:29ring or two, who cares? We'll deal with that.
- 40:32We'll cross that bridge when we get there.
- 40:34You know, is it worth it in their eyes?
- 40:38I'm trying to think of other suitors, man.
- 40:40Like I could, I definitely could see the Mets, you know, him,
- 40:48Soto Lindor as as like a, you know, 123234 situation.
- 40:59Yeah, that could work. Sorry, I've got just a little
- 41:06side note here. Little big league.
- 41:08I was telling a little bit little bit of league is on MLB
- 41:10Network right now and it's insane to me assuming it was him
- 41:15and not a stunt double. Well, he's in the movie, but
- 41:17Randy Johnson makes the appearance later in the movie
- 41:22and after they were the Mariners record to final out.
- 41:26He's they're celebrating on the mound and assuming it's him and
- 41:29not a stunt double, he's jumped and it looks like from from the
- 41:33back, you know, at least it looks like him like long hair
- 41:36and everything freaking 8 feet tall.
- 41:39It's crazy to me that they had him like jumping up and down on
- 41:41the mound. Wouldn't what it wasn't I'm sure
- 41:43it wasn't crazy back then, but like you look you look to the
- 41:46way things are now like Edwin Diaz situation in the world
- 41:50baseball classic. No chance they would have done
- 41:52that. I don't know had they know what
- 41:54they know now. Anyway, sorry, side note, but
- 42:00yeah, who knows. I mean, I'm sure as as time goes
- 42:03on the the list of suitors will increase, but I think as of
- 42:06right now you're looking at the Northeast Pervadi.
- 42:12I really can't think of any I just any other landing spot that
- 42:16feels good. I just, I'm going to need proof
- 42:20that the Red Sox are willing to spend money again, but we
- 42:22haven't seen it And, and you know, we can throw the, the Soto
- 42:26example out there. Well, they didn't have to spend
- 42:28it. So we we won't really know if
- 42:30that would have come to fruition.
- 42:34And they're just, they're keen on, on trying to make trades,
- 42:37make deals, which I I get like you've got, you've got some
- 42:40depth there in the, in the, in the system that you can sort of
- 42:44play with. But.
- 42:45That's the other thing too. Man, you're talking about the
- 42:47money. One of the best prospects in
- 42:49baseball, that's going to be what's his name coming up?
- 42:53Roman, Anthony. Yeah, man.
- 42:54I mean, like, you can't just ignore that and say that you
- 43:01have to lock somebody down. But at the same time, you know,
- 43:05we have this discussion all the time.
- 43:06It's like proof is in the pudding with players and
- 43:10prospects aren't anything until they prove it and.
- 43:13Proven talent over prospects every time.
- 43:17So it I'd be curious to see it. I think it'd be silly and
- 43:23something regrettable if it is an acquisition before the
- 43:27deadline and if the Red Sox send that guy to the to the Blue
- 43:31Jays, I think that's a mistake. I think that would be.
- 43:34I think that would be a big mistake.
- 43:35Roman Anthony's off the table without a doubt.
- 43:38It would be it'd be some combination if they went and got
- 43:41him early. It would be some combination of
- 43:44others. But I assuming he makes his free
- 43:47agency, I think that's what they're they're they're banking
- 43:49on. I think a lot of other teams are
- 43:51as well. I think they'll if they are
- 43:54willing to spend this money that they say they're willing to
- 43:56spend, that's where they're going to try to make it happen.
- 43:58I don't think there'd be no sense in pushing the limits and.
- 44:04He's Blue Jays man. These blue.
- 44:08I just, I, I am just baffled. I'm just baffled of what this
- 44:15has turned into. Can I attempt to baffle you?
- 44:19With a haircut, by the way. Did you see that?
- 44:21I did see that I don't. Hate it I don't hate it.
- 44:25I don't hate it. I wasn't a fan of the long the
- 44:27hair, just. I mean, it was him, like it,
- 44:29that was him. Yes, yeah, it was just Lord
- 44:31Farquaad hair that. I just no, that's Corbin Carroll
- 44:35and if you. That's the same hair.
- 44:38Yeah, nobody really seemed to agree with me on that.
- 44:40Go look at a picture of Corbin Carroll and pull up Lord
- 44:42Farquaad. Same guy, same.
- 44:44Color pull up, pull up pull up Corbin Carroll in the in the D
- 44:48Backs red uni and then pull up a picture of Lord Farquaad.
- 44:51Same guy, same height, same guy. What are we?
- 44:55What are we talking about? Can you?
- 44:58You mentioned being baffled. Can I attempt to baffle you a
- 45:02little bit more? Bring on the baffle.
- 45:08Uh oh, Whose quote was? This I knew we were coming up on
- 45:13this AI scary man.
- 45:37It's insane, dude. I made that in.
- 45:40Like it took me probably 35 seconds to type out the lyrics
- 45:45for that, and within a minute they cranked that out and I'm
- 45:49like, well, that saved me a lot of that.
- 45:53Saved me a lot of money on having to dish out for a studio
- 45:57session for somebody. I would have gotten in the
- 45:59studio for us, but it's all good.
- 46:01No, no. Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 46:03Oh, we can save you for another. If we come up with a segment,
- 46:06I'll get you. I'm in.
- 46:08We'll get you. We'll get you on the mic.
- 46:10Shoot me the auto tune in a little bit.
- 46:12I just need that and I'm in. We'll make it work.
- 46:15Yeah. Whose quote was this?
- 46:23But when you're talking about attendance going down, when
- 46:25you're talking about blackout restrictions, when you're
- 46:27talking about jersey sales, you're talking about all these
- 46:29numbers tanking and regressing each year, something needs to
- 46:32change. So how do we do that without
- 46:35changing the game? This is an example.
- 46:38We're not changing the distance between the mound and the plate.
- 46:40We're not changing the balls, we're not changing the size of
- 46:43the field. We're not changing the height of
- 46:45the fences. None of that stuff's changing.
- 46:47But it is something to shed a little more light on the players
- 46:50and to give a little more love around, you know, gives a player
- 46:53a chance to express their personality a little bit without
- 46:56having to tweet, without having to answer questions from their
- 46:58locker that, you know, after a game.
- 47:00So this is something that is raw, and I'm cool with it.
- 47:04From Episode 118 to Mike or not to Mike from March 9th, 2020,
- 47:14this would have been our most likely.
- 47:16Our. Our last or second to last
- 47:19episode before the world shut down.
- 47:28I'm going to say me and I'm going to say we were talking
- 47:36like maybe players weekend. I don't know.
- 47:46Was it me? That was you?
- 47:52No, I think well, the the like I said, the episode was titled To
- 47:57Mike or Not to Mike, so it would have been a topic of discussion.
- 48:00At that point. Yeah.
- 48:02And I, I don't remember, maybe it was just that baseball is
- 48:06proposing a more like regularly occurring Mike schedule or
- 48:13something. I don't know what happened, but
- 48:16it was important enough or or big enough of a story I guess,
- 48:18that we decided to headline it. But.
- 48:21That was what's a big story in the moment.
- 48:24That was your take and. Then forgettable down the down
- 48:27the road. Yeah, we're talking about that.
- 48:31I mean, just stop interviewing them.
- 48:36I don't want conversation. Mic them up, let it stay miked
- 48:42up and let's hear some raw stuff.
- 48:46But I'm still in the camp that baseball needs its own Hard
- 48:50Knocks version. We need something that's raw,
- 48:54unedited, just pure in the offseason.
- 48:57Ryan Burr, when we interviewed Ryan Burr shut out, shut out
- 49:02former White Sox reliever. Who's he with now?
- 49:05Had you saw he got BB signed with somebody?
- 49:07Was it the Nationals? I think it was the Nationals.
- 49:10I think he was. I think he was in the He was on
- 49:14a roster in the postseason. He's with, I was with the Blue
- 49:21Jays. Last year.
- 49:23No, no. This year.
- 49:25No, he's he's still with the Blue Jays.
- 49:29I think he is. I swore somebody we interviewed
- 49:34over the years, just with the Nationals.
- 49:36I saw signed with them over the offseason.
- 49:38I just can't remember who that was.
- 49:42Anyway, not important. Ryan Burr, when we had him on
- 49:46handful of years ago, actually it was probably right around
- 49:48this time, right around COVID. He had the idea, if you recall,
- 49:53of having some sort of. Like like a bullpen show.
- 49:57Yeah, like a hot mic bullpen or just even like a streaming
- 50:01option where you can just like, I want to watch tonight's Red
- 50:03Sox, Yankees game through the lens of the bullpen.
- 50:07And it's they would never do it, obviously, but he, he was the
- 50:11one suggesting an idea like that.
- 50:13And he's like, yeah, I'd, I'd be down for it.
- 50:14So you wouldn't have to imagine if a guy like that's behind it,
- 50:17yeah, there's probably other guys who have like.
- 50:19They got it. They got it.
- 50:21Let's get it, let's get it spicy.
- 50:22Let's get it poppin. I think we are dominating this
- 50:27game, by the way, I don't think we don't miss too much.
- 50:31We're crushing. Whose quote is this?
- 50:36Yeah, we're we're crushing it, which goes to show you how long
- 50:39we've been doing this. We we know each other's sakes
- 50:42and how they evolve over time, even ones from years ago.
- 50:45Yeah. Yeah.
- 50:47Well, well done. I did have something.
- 50:52Oh. How breaking is breaking?
- 51:02Oh, I know what you're talking about.
- 51:03It's not full breaking news, so I'm not going to run it out all
- 51:06the way. I love how you go straight to
- 51:08your phone when I play that. No, just breaking news.
- 51:12Notification was. That's all.
- 51:14Merch is officially back. I know I I hinted at it last
- 51:19episode. I said it's back, but it's not
- 51:21like actually back yet because we have to iron out some final
- 51:24things. Got those things figured out.
- 51:26She back. Merch is back and I tell you
- 51:32what, we had some we had some fun with it this go around.
- 51:35We sure did, man. This is the best by far, I think
- 51:40the best collection of stuff we we've come out with to date.
- 51:43Like we've, we've had, we've had shops before and, and you know,
- 51:47it was sort of like an afterthought, but we really put
- 51:50some, some thought into these options and we think you are
- 51:54going to love it. Even for the first time ever we
- 51:56got some jerseys in the shop. Dude, I'm hyped.
- 52:01The jerseys I'm I'm ordering hours.
- 52:04I'm I'm putting in an order for hours like tomorrow we got a
- 52:08home three O take jersey. We got a road 3 O take jersey
- 52:12and just when you thought we were done with jerseys, no throw
- 52:15in that Alti throw in the alternate.
- 52:17We got a blue alternate on there.
- 52:19I might even you know what I'd even let's just go full set.
- 52:23I need to design a red, we can get a red one in there, cover,
- 52:27cover all of our all of our bases and maybe even throw in
- 52:30like an alternate black. Maybe we'd get creative with a
- 52:32black uni. I don't know, who knows.
- 52:35But yeah, we got some, we got some thrill tape jerseys in the
- 52:39shop, in the new shop. We got some Tees in there and
- 52:44the, I think our wheelhouse. You're you.
- 52:46You and I have always just been hat guys till we die.
- 52:50And I think, I think that's going to continue to be our
- 52:53wheelhouse. We love, we love hats.
- 52:55There's plenty of hats in there. Nate's rocking one of them as we
- 52:58speak. He's got the beanie on.
- 52:59This is a this is a high quality beanie.
- 53:02It's a high like a firm like sturdy beanie.
- 53:08It's not like a floppy like you know what I mean?
- 53:10Like this is this is high quality.
- 53:12The stitch like this clean, my wife already took it.
- 53:19Probably threw some makeup in the inside a little bit, yeah.
- 53:23It looks clean and the hat you're wearing.
- 53:25Last episode was another another option we got on there and I
- 53:28know people were asking about it.
- 53:30It's in there, It's in there somewhere.
- 53:32There. It is there.
- 53:33It is that. How about that throat take?
- 53:35That's clean the rope hat. Little rope hat action, the
- 53:38white, the white white snapback enclosure on the back.
- 53:43Love it. So go go check that out.
- 53:45Stay filthy. Version of that row pat too.
- 53:47Yes, stay filthy version which mine should be here any day and
- 53:53then a a a cure carefully curated don't go chasing
- 53:57curveballs hat that's going to be Nate's favorite.
- 54:00Oh boy, can't snap back. It's going to be clean.
- 54:04It's. Going to be real nice.
- 54:06Going to put an order for that in as well.
- 54:09So yeah, been waiting a long time to finally come out with
- 54:12with what we feel is a solid collection of merch and we
- 54:17finally got that out there for you guys.

- 54:213otake.com/shop that's THREEOHTA ke.com/shop.
- 54:30You can find the link I posted on social.
- 54:32It's in our bio on our social platforms, so that should cover
- 54:36that. But very excited about that.
- 54:38Go check it out. Go support the pod.
- 54:41If you get anything, tag us, put on your story, Yeah, you're
- 54:45automatically going to be put on our story, correct?
- 54:51Oh, and the last thing I had before we get out of here, the
- 54:57resolution that I shared, if you recall, one of my one of my New
- 55:00Year's baseball related resolutions, and it was actually
- 55:03the one I was looking forward to most this year.
- 55:06One of my three that I shared was to this year was going to be
- 55:13the year that I made I, I converted a non baseball fan or
- 55:18somebody that was just otherwise indifferent about baseball into
- 55:22a baseball fan. I have since identified the
- 55:25subjects for this project. That's good.
- 55:29He's a guy from our church. He's in, he's in our small
- 55:31group. Super cool dude.
- 55:33You, you may have even met him. I don't.
- 55:34Is this going to take a while? Like is it like we need to sit
- 55:40down and watch a game together? This.
- 55:42Project Oh yeah, like it's going to be like we're going to we're
- 55:45going to we're sort of going to map this out over the course of
- 55:48the year like we're going to we're going to have to hit up
- 55:50some nationals games that'll help.
- 55:52They're the closest maybe make our way up to Baltimore for a
- 55:56game. And we were even talking about
- 56:00it tonight because I was, I was with him and his wife earlier
- 56:04tonight. And I was like, you know, we
- 56:06possibly like we could make this a full blown like content, like
- 56:12a, like a, a campaign almost. And I was thinking about like we
- 56:15could even make, we could even document the like maybe even
- 56:18make an account, like its own separate account and just
- 56:21document the whole thing. He's an LA guy, so he's going
- 56:25to, he's going to commit. He, I was like, you're going to
- 56:27have to commit to a team from the jump because like, we don't
- 56:30want to be figuring this out on the fly.
- 56:32He's like, well, naturally I'm an LA guy, so let's just go,
- 56:35let's just go Dodgers. And I'm like, you know, he's
- 56:37like, am I going to get some hate for that?
- 56:38And I was like from people that don't, from people that don't
- 56:41understand how that works. I'm like, you've literally
- 56:44you're from there. I, I have no problem with it.
- 56:47So that's that's what we're looking at and I'm excited about
- 56:51it and I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with with
- 56:54our listeners and our and our viewers.
- 56:56It's going to be it's going to be an interesting, interesting
- 56:59I've. Had I've had this idea that I
- 57:02feel like we could do like a, like a asking for a friend
- 57:09segment that if there's anybody that ever want to like wants to
- 57:12ask a stupid baseball question, then we could read it off and
- 57:16like talk about it, right? I love it.
- 57:19It's kind of fun. So maybe if you can like
- 57:22document any questions that he has, we'll call him out.
- 57:26We won't. We had a kid can remain
- 57:28anonymous. But even if it's like a wife,
- 57:31like a wife question. So if any of you listeners or
- 57:34your wife asked a stupid question when you're watching a
- 57:36game and you're like, I got to tell the boys about this, send
- 57:40us Adm or. Hold on, hold on if you're a
- 57:43baseball girl. Shout out to.
- 57:45Shout out to the baseball girl hat and shirt on the on the show
- 57:49He's. Doing or saying or he has no
- 57:51idea why you're into it and he has a question and he's an
- 57:54idiot. Like, let's get into it, you
- 57:57know? We all think, let's make that a
- 57:59thing. Asking for a friend, yeah.
- 58:02I like that. Did you catch my little plug
- 58:04there for the baseball girl? You did Hat and shirt.
- 58:07You did plug it and it's nice. It's clean.
- 58:09The shop, there's a little statement, little statement to
- 58:11you, Just let people know. Yeah.
- 58:13Yeah, I like that. We need to.
- 58:14Let's get that going. I like how you have one locked
- 58:18in. Already you've got a target
- 58:19acquired. That's good, it's good.
- 58:22It's. Good.
- 58:23It's good resolution. Too we I was like, I was like,
- 58:26dude, what do you like? We need a name for this project.
- 58:28And he was like, he knows very little about the Dodgers or
- 58:32baseball in general. And he but he knows Jackie
- 58:34Robinson. He's like, what if we just
- 58:35called it Project 42? I said this guy's cool.
- 58:40Yeah. I said yeah, we'll, we'll get
- 58:42out that cooler. So.
- 58:43So. Project Oh, he's one of the
- 58:45coolest dudes I. Know Project 42 it is be on the
- 58:50lookout for for some content for that.
- 58:51I'm really excited about this and I got other I got other guys
- 58:54from our group to get involved who are baseball fans.
- 58:56So it's going to be, it's going to be like a full blown, nice,
- 58:59full blown campaign maybe. He's going to want to join in on
- 59:03our keeping book on Sunday nights that we're going to.
- 59:07There you go, you know, because that's a good way to learn.
- 59:11Let's face it, that's a great way to learn and understand what
- 59:16things mean. Why is he on 2nd?
- 59:18How did he get there, you know? That's a great point out here
- 59:24getting in the community. Look at us.
- 59:26Look at us, man making a difference stand.
- 59:28Up a little bit, show off that shirt this.
- 59:30Is number what this? It's like 4 or.
- 59:34Five. OK, yeah, it's it's recorded.
- 59:37Beautiful. I lost.
- 59:40A bet as a. Reminder Yankees took the final,
- 59:46what, five games of the season series?
- 59:49I want this framed. I'll send it to you when I'm
- 59:53done. Because I'm literally never
- 59:55wearing this ever again once I've paid my dues and worn this
- 59:58shirt. As you can see, there's three of
- 59:59Nate. A rod and Jeter I might I might
- 1:00:03wear it. I'll.
- 1:00:05I'll send it to you, I think, Mike.
- 1:00:06Evans was wearing his own. Shirt with his face all over it
- 1:00:10the other day why can't I why can't you you got three faces
- 1:00:13there you. Go.
- 1:00:15All right. You got anything before we get
- 1:00:16out of here? No.
- 1:00:19Just do me a favor and don't go chasing curveballs.
- 1:00:22We love you all and as always, looking forward to talking more
- 1:00:23baseball with. You guys soon.
- 1:00:25Until next time, stay filthy.
