- 0:05Our Father who is in heaven, holy is your name, your Kingdom
- 0:21come, and your will be done here on this earth just as it is
- 0:30there in heaven. Lord, I pray for Our Daily Bread
- 0:39today. Lord, I pray that you will
- 0:45forgive us of all of our trespasses.
- 0:49Help us to forgive those who trespass against us.
- 0:57Lord, keep us from the tempter, keep us from the accuser of the
- 1:04brethren. Lord, let us not be LED off, got
- 1:13into dismay and discouragement, discontentment.
- 1:19Help us not to relegate ourselves to the debase levels
- 1:25of carnality. God, we war against the flesh
- 1:29today. We war against all the
- 1:32principalities, God, and all the demonic strongholds, God, we RIP
- 1:37them down in the name of Jesus. We exalt that holy name, Yeshua
- 1:43I Messiah, over all circumstances, over all
- 1:49emotions, God Over the disease that's riddled our bodies, God
- 1:57over all brokenness in this world.
- 1:59We lift that name high above every other name, every other
- 2:04entity, every other thought, every other person place.
- 2:10Thank God Almighty, it is Yeshua that we exalt higher than any
- 2:18other principality, higher than any government, higher than the
- 2:24universe, higher than any fear mongering, any kind of
- 2:34propaganda. We lift that name higher than
- 2:38all of the false science and all of the false thinkings.
- 2:45God, cleanse this land. Cleanse the earth.
- 2:49Father, I pray that you will make every wrong thing right.
- 2:59God, I pray for those that have been martyred.
- 3:04God, I pray for all the innocent unborn.
- 3:06God, I pray that you, Lord, will make every wrong thing right.
- 3:14God, I pray against all of the destruction of the unborn
- 3:23fetuses. God, I pray against all of the
- 3:27powers of Satan. God, in the name of Jesus Christ
- 3:32we RIP and tear down every single demonic spirit that is
- 3:40trying to come up against and possess mankind or bind them and
- 3:48cast them into the judgment that you have a waiting for.
- 3:51Those evil tormented spirits cast them into the herd of swine
- 3:58today, God, let them run off the Cliff and be drowned in the name
- 4:04of Jesus Christ. It's the name above all names.
- 4:08We thank you Father for another day to come and worship You in
- 4:12spirit and truth. Thank you, God, for allowing us
- 4:15to come up and see You, Father, to come up and to be here,
- 4:20Father in the throne room, Lord, the sea of glass mingle with
- 4:24fire. God, the rainbow, Lord the
- 4:26Seraphim covering their mouth and their eyes.
- 4:29God, you are holy, holy. Holy is the Lord God Almighty,
- 4:38who was, who is and is to come. We thank you there was only one
- 4:46found worthy to open the scroll. We thank you, God, for all the
- 4:51promises contained in this book, and we hold them dearly and
- 4:55tightly. God, we bind them on our hands.
- 5:00God, we bind them on our foreheads.
- 5:02Father, we walk and live in the reality of the promises God, and
- 5:08we count them as already have happened.
- 5:11We've count them as if they have already come to fruition.
- 5:14We count them as our inheritance, every promise.
- 5:20Father, we thank you for them and we love you.
- 5:24We admire you, we adore you, King Jesus, eyes like fire and
- 5:31hair like wool, the voice of the many waters.
- 5:35We thank you God, King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, faithful,
- 5:41righteous and true. We love you, Lord Maranatha,
- 5:46come the Spirit and the bride say, come send Jesus Christ holy
- 5:53and precious name that I pray, Amen.
- 5:58Well, let's start in verse one would to God.
- 6:04You bear with me a little in my folly, and indeed bear with me.
- 6:09So he's going to talk a little bit about godly jealousy.
- 6:13And we know that our God is a jealous God, and we will have no
- 6:19other gods before him. We cannot serve both God and
- 6:25Mammon, and we RIP and tear down all idol worship.
- 6:29We take it out in the streets and burn it, and we cannot
- 6:35cohabitate with Christ and Belial.
- 6:38Friends. 2 For I am jealous over you, with godly jealousy, For I
- 6:44have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you
- 6:48as a chaste virgin to Christ. We've got to keep our lamps full
- 6:53and our Wicks trimmed, friends, We need to be the wise virgins,
- 6:58and we await our bridegroom. Friends, I pray in the name of
- 7:02Jesus that you're not distracted.
- 7:05I pray in the name of Jesus that you are not whoring and lusting
- 7:12after other gods and idols. And he's saying that he is
- 7:18jealous for his bride and he will have a spotless bride.
- 7:26And that is what Paul desires for the Corinthians to
- 7:29understand their bridal identity.
- 7:32Friends 3 But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled
- 7:39Eve through his subtlety, so your mind should be corrupted
- 7:44from the simplicity that is in Christ.
- 7:47We're going to get a warning against false teachers here, and
- 7:50we're going to see how they worm and weave and beguile their way
- 7:55into the congregation. And they start off with all
- 8:00these little false doctrines and false teachings and heresies
- 8:04which lead to the apostasy. And we need to consecrate
- 8:08ourselves. Friends, it is the simple
- 8:11gospel, but we complicate it. It is the complete authority of
- 8:17God's Word, but we call it into question.
- 8:21Far be it from us to ever turn away from the simple gospel and
- 8:26the complete authority of God's Word.
- 8:30For. For if he that comes preaching
- 8:34another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive
- 8:38another spirit which you have not received, or another gospel
- 8:43which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him.
- 8:46So listen, friends, it is the Bible that is the lifeline unto
- 8:53salvation and unto eternity, Friends, nothing added and
- 8:58nothing subtracted. And that is the grave
- 9:01responsibility that we have, friends, is to not allow any
- 9:06other Jesus, any other doctrine, any other spirit into the purity
- 9:13that God has called us in from Genesis to Revelation.
- 9:18And you need to understand that when people say, have you read
- 9:24this or read that? And it is not in the word of
- 9:28God, just stiff arm it, friends, it is, it is a distraction.
- 9:32And we can look at the history as just that.
- 9:37It is just historical. It is not divinely inspired.
- 9:42But when we are talking about the word of God, it is God
- 9:48breathe. It is alive and active, friends,
- 9:51and you don't read it, it's reading you.
- 9:53And it gives us all of our complete authority, all of our
- 9:57complete doctrine and theology is within the confines of the
- 10:01word of God. Friends and everything
- 10:05externally, everything extra biblical friends is not useful
- 10:12for the salvation of others. It is man's opinion and that is
- 10:18it. 5 For I suppose I was not wit behind the very chiefest
- 10:27apostles. So Paul is saying, listen, I
- 10:30know that I was chosen afterwards.
- 10:33I know that I wasn't actually three years in the gestation
- 10:37period where I got to see and actually live with and minister
- 10:44to our Lord Jesus Christ. I know I was just called on the
- 10:47road to Damascus. 6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in
- 10:57knowledge. But we have been third,
- 11:00thoroughly, thoroughly made manifest among you in all
- 11:05things. So Paul saying, check the track
- 11:07record. Look, look at the missionary
- 11:10journeys I've been on in the churches that have been planted.
- 11:13You can see my Apostolic authority based upon all of the
- 11:19fruit 7 Have I committed an offense in a basing myself that
- 11:25you might be exalted because I have preached to you the gospel
- 11:30of God freely. He's saying I took no money, I
- 11:35supported myself and that means that I'm somehow a lesser
- 11:39apostle. AI robbed other churches taking
- 11:44wages of them to do you service. Paul here is saying that he was
- 11:54not worried about how he was going to support himself and all
- 12:01he was worried about was propagating the gospel of our
- 12:05Lord Jesus Christ. And he wasn't in it for the
- 12:09money. He wasn't in it for the position
- 12:15and for any kind of recognition. All he cared about was exalting
- 12:20Jesus Christ. None.
- 12:25And when I was present with you and wanted, I was chargeable to
- 12:29no man for that which was lacking to me.
- 12:32The brothers which came from Macedonia supplied.
- 12:35And in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome
- 12:38unto you, and so will I keep myself.
- 12:42He's saying. I will continue to support
- 12:45myself. I will not be the one with my
- 12:47hand held out asking you for anything.
- 12:52If you want to give, give to the poor in Jerusalem.
- 12:56But do not worry, I am well acquainted with lack and I have
- 13:03contentment in that lack. I do not need for the things of
- 13:07this world. I have everything I need in
- 13:10Christ Jesus. 10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall
- 13:16stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaea.
- 13:20So he's saying, if I boast, I boast in Christ, and no man can
- 13:26stop me from boasting in Christ. 11 Wherefore, because I love you
- 13:32not, God knows it. He's saying, Do you think that I
- 13:35don't love you? He knows that I do. 12 But what
- 13:39I do that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them,
- 13:45which desire occasion that wherein they glory they may be
- 13:48found even as we. So he's saying that he desires
- 13:54for many to support themselves and not to be those who are
- 13:58peddling the gospel for profit. 13 For such are false apostles,
- 14:04deceitful workers transforming themselves into the apostles of
- 14:09Christ. So here he's going to go off the
- 14:12rails a little bit and he's going to leave his piety and
- 14:15he's going to actually debase himself into tearing down and
- 14:21speaking about these false apostles as he needed to.
- 14:26Friends, he tried so hard to keep his mind and his head
- 14:31screwed on straight. But here you can see Paul and
- 14:35his vehement disgust of the false teachers and those that
- 14:40have wormed their way into the congregations and they're
- 14:43leading the silly off into these little fables and he's going to
- 14:48talk about it. 14 And no marvel for Satan himself is transformed
- 14:55into an Angel of light. You need to understand that he,
- 14:58that Satan masquerades himself as an Angel of light and he can
- 15:02take on these forms of beauty. And we get LED off really
- 15:07quickly, friends, when we take our eyes off of Christ and we
- 15:13put our eyes on the world, it's going to take you in places that
- 15:18you're not prepared to go. And it sure looks beautiful at
- 15:23the set at the beginning. But as you go on along, you will
- 15:28realize that his entire tactics is to steal, kill and destroy.
- 15:34And he will destroy your life. He will destroy your marriage.
- 15:38He will destroy the relationships you have with your
- 15:40children. He will destroy your testimony.
- 15:43He will destroy the very health inside your bones.
- 15:48He will destroy your mind. He will kill all of the
- 15:54fruitfulness in your life. Do not marvel whenever Satan
- 16:03masquerades himself as an Angel of light.
- 16:06We do not need to be conformed to this world, but we need to be
- 16:09transformed by the renewing of our mind.
- 16:13And you can see here that Satan transforms himself into an Angel
- 16:17of light, and we need to be on guard, friends, of all the
- 16:21deceptive tactics of our enemy. 15 Therefore it is no great
- 16:27thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of
- 16:32righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.
- 16:37This is the garbage doctrine that you see arise within the
- 16:43church that tell us that there is the Word of God plus
- 16:49something else, or that the Word of God is outdated or written
- 16:54for that particular time and it's not relevant to our day.
- 16:58Or that there is some kind of new teaching, new gospel, new
- 17:02revelation. Far be it from us to fall for
- 17:05all of the garbage teaching of these garbage religious entities
- 17:12who try to drag us away into satanic worship.
- 17:19It is God's Word, and it is God's Word alone that we stand
- 17:22upon. 16 I say again, Let no man think me a fool, if otherwise,
- 17:31yet as a fool, receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
- 17:35So Paul here is unwilling to boast, but he feels that he
- 17:39needs to in order to get them back in line. 17 That which I
- 17:44speak, if if speak it not after the Lord, but as it were
- 17:50foolishly in this confidence of boasting.
- 17:53So he's saying he's going to step out of character a little
- 17:57bit. He has kept his wit about him
- 18:00for so long, and he's dealt with them on such levels of a
- 18:10gentleman, and he has kept his tongue.
- 18:14And here he's going to unloose his collar a little bit.
- 18:18He's going to take the gloves off for a little while and he's
- 18:21going to actually show them what he thinks about all of the
- 18:25disgusting practices of the satanic revolt within the
- 18:30church. 18 Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will
- 18:37glory also. 19 For you suffer fools gladly, seeing yourselves
- 18:42are wise. 20 For you suffer if a man bring you into bondage, and
- 18:47if a man devour you, and if a man take of you, if a man exalts
- 18:53himself, if a man strike you on the face.
- 18:56He's talking about all these cult leaders.
- 18:59He's talking about all of the ones who come in masquerading
- 19:04themselves as as a minister of light.
- 19:07And they are actually empowered by Satan and people receive them
- 19:12and they fall at their feet and they want to be lorded over.
- 19:16And Paul is saying how despicable it is whenever we
- 19:20allow this kind of activity within the church, friends, it
- 19:26is apostasy, and it is repulsive to the nostrils of a holy God.
- 19:3721 I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been
- 19:42weak. Howbeit wherein so ever any is
- 19:46bold. I speak foolishly.
- 19:48I am bold also. So he's saying, Listen, you will
- 19:52give yourself away to these cultic leaders who are twisting
- 19:58the word of God because of their charisma, but when I come to you
- 20:04plain in speech, speaking to you the plain things of God that are
- 20:09marked out in his word, you reject me. 22 Are they Hebrews?
- 20:16So am I. Are they Israelites?
- 20:20So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham?
- 20:24So am I. So he's giving them his
- 20:27genealogy and he's saying anything that they try to say
- 20:31that they are. I am as well.
- 20:35And Paul was a learning man and he was able to go back and
- 20:42search all the Old Testament. He actually had context friends
- 20:47and these false teachers and false leaders and these satanic
- 20:53ministers were trying to propagate themselves within the
- 20:57church, the early church, and Paul was saying don't listen to
- 21:01them. 23 are they ministers of Christ?
- 21:06I speak as a fool. I am more and labor's more
- 21:09abundant in stripes above measure in prisons, more
- 21:13frequent in deaths often. So Paul is giving his
- 21:18credentials here. He's giving his references here.
- 21:21He's going to pull up his shirt and show them the stripes that
- 21:24he has on his back, and he's going to tell them that it is by
- 21:31hardship the the Corinthians were founded and that they need
- 21:36not be LED astray by some beguiling of a satanic minister.
- 21:4424 of the Jews five times received thy 40 stripes, save
- 21:49one. So five times he received 39
- 21:53lashes across his back. And he bore the scars of it,
- 21:57friends. And the church was founded upon
- 22:00these scars. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was
- 22:09stoned, three times suffered shipwreck.
- 22:13A night and a day I've been in the deep. 26 In journeys often
- 22:18in perils of waters, and perils of robbers, and perils of my own
- 22:23countrymen, and perils by the heathen, in perils in the city,
- 22:27and perils in the wilderness, and perils in the sea, and in
- 22:31perils amongst false brothers. So he knew what it was like to
- 22:36be haunted down and persecuted. He knew what it was like to feel
- 22:41the pain and to feel the blood trickle down.
- 22:45He knew what it was like to be hungry and cold.
- 22:48Friends. And he's telling the
- 22:49Corinthians, do not just look at the suit and tie.
- 22:53Do not just look at the stained glass window in the pews.
- 22:57Do not just look at the pulpit and the steeple.
- 23:00Do not look at the limousine in the private jets.
- 23:03Do not look at the mansions in the outward appearance.
- 23:06But God sees the heart of man 27 in weariness and painfulness, in
- 23:15watchings, often in hunger and thirst, in fastings, often in
- 23:19cold and nakedness, 28 beside those things that are without
- 23:25that which comes upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
- 23:29So you can see the churches came alongside of him and the
- 23:33churches supported him, and the churches wanted Paul to win.
- 23:39They wanted Paul to be able to go into his missionary journeys.
- 23:43And Paul counted the costs before he ever went.
- 23:46And Christ had already showed him the things that he would
- 23:48suffer. 29 Who is weak? And I am not weak.
- 23:56Who is offended and I burn not. He's saying, listen, I'm still a
- 24:01human, I still feel the same things that you do, but I die to
- 24:06self daily. I take up my cross daily, I
- 24:09charge the hill daily, I count the cost daily, and I'm willing
- 24:17to be spilled out 30 if I must. Needs glory, I will Glory of the
- 24:25things which concern my infirmities.
- 24:29He's saying I do not boast in my strength and boldness because it
- 24:35is in my weakness that God is made strong. 31 The God and
- 24:42Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed forevermore,
- 24:47knows that I lied. Not.
- 24:49Paul didn't need to say that, but he wanted these Corinthians
- 24:52to know that he's coming at them full force.
- 24:56He is transparent, real and raw. He is not trying to twist their
- 25:03emotions. He's not trying to play upon
- 25:05their emotions. Paul here is telling them the
- 25:08reality and the gravity of his ministry. 32 In Damascus the
- 25:14governor under Aretas the king, kept the city of the Damasins
- 25:20with a Garrison desirous to apprehend me.
- 25:24We'll end on 33 And through a window in a basket.
- 25:27I was let down by the wall and escaped his hands.
- 25:32Listen, friends, when you are accurately in tune and attached
- 25:38to our Lord Jesus Christ, he'll let you down in a basket through
- 25:44a wall, and you'll escape the hands of the enemy.
- 25:47And Paul here wanted them to understand that the moment he
- 25:51gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and surrender to the
- 25:54calling, there was already a bounty placed upon his head.
- 25:58And when you and I came into the fold, the enemy stopped leaving
- 26:03us alone, and he turned his attention to us.
- 26:05Because you are dangerous, friends, You are wholly
- 26:10dangerous. And I pray today that you step
- 26:15in to your role that God has for you.
- 26:21You are a soldier for Christ. You go into the darkest places.
- 26:25You need not fear. You need not shrink back, you
- 26:29need not be a coward. But we are bold for Christ,
- 26:34willing to be spilled out daily. If you want the enemy to leave
- 26:43you alone, you just go back to your old carnal ways and you
- 26:49will self destruct. But when you are a minister for
- 26:55Christ, when you are doing the work of the Lord, do not be
- 26:58surprised. Whenever you are attacked
- 27:05spiritually, when you start battling things that you've
- 27:09never had to deal with before, don't be surprised.
- 27:15Count the cost before you ever come to Him.
- 27:21I hope you've been blessed by this chapter.
- 27:23I know I sure have. God is so good.
- 27:31Jesus is exalted and God wins in the end.
- 27:38Friends, don't forget it. It's not a cat and mouse game
- 27:45with God and the devil. It's not a big gigantic chess
- 27:48game that they are just moving the pieces around trying to
- 27:51figure out how to escape and evade each other.
- 27:55God's not pacing back and forth in heaven trying to figure out
- 27:59his next move. He's not scratching his head
- 28:01saying I didn't see that coming. God is omnipotent and sovereign,
- 28:06and everything's moving in exact accordance to what the Holy
- 28:09Scriptures have revealed to us, friends.
- 28:11But it is ignorance of the Word of God that plagues the church.
- 28:16And I'm glad that you have taken this faith journey with me, and
- 28:19I'm glad that you're here, and I'm glad that you are getting
- 28:23rooted and grounded in the Word of God.
- 28:26It is our lifeline, friends. You will not be put to dismay
- 28:31and discouraged and depressed and anxious if you'll get rooted
- 28:35and grounded in the Holy Scriptures and allow them to
- 28:39become alive inside of you, friends.
- 28:42Allow them to become your thought processes.
- 28:46Allow them to be your DNA that flows through your veins.
- 28:53The blood of Christ, friends, the mind of Christ, the words of
- 28:57Christ. Let your prayers be a pleasing
- 29:00aroma unto God. Today.
- 29:06I love you. So does God, so does our Lord
- 29:11Jesus be empowered and filled with the Holy Ghost.
- 29:14Today I'm praying for you. I'm praying hard for you.
- 29:21Today I'm praying that the enemy scared, shaking in his boots
- 29:28because of the mark that's been placed on your life in the
- 29:31ministry and the calling that God is calling you into today.
- 29:36Tell every single person you meet about Christ and what He's
- 29:39done for you. Share your testimony with
- 29:41somebody today. Your testimony is just three
- 29:45chairs. What was your life like before?
- 29:48What happened when you met Christ and what is your life
- 29:51like now? You can give a 2 minute
- 29:53testimony anywhere that you are, in the bank, in the grocery
- 29:57store, in the cab, in the workplace, while you're on the
- 30:05line, while you're on the phone waiting.
- 30:08You can tell somebody about what Christ has done for you and
- 30:13it'll be edifying for your own self to hear your own self.
- 30:17Tell that to somebody. God bless you.
- 30:21We'll see you back here tomorrow.
