- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from the w R Life Back studios, Mark Simone.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Well, the great columnist Liz Peak who you could read
- 0:09Speaker 2: her at the Foxnews dot Com of course at the Hill,
- 0:12Speaker 2: and mostly check out our website lizpeak dot com. Make
- 0:16Speaker 2: sure you follow her on Twitter and all that stuff.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Liz Peak, How you doing?
- 0:21Speaker 1: I'm here? Can you hear I can hear you.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Now, I can hear you. Hey, everybody condemning this Iran
- 0:28Speaker 2: deal except one person, says Natoboss hails the Iran deal.
- 0:33Speaker 2: That worries me even more if he likes it.
- 0:36Speaker 1: You know, Mark, I was thinking about this just now
- 0:40Speaker 1: because the Wall Street Journal has a particularly damning article
- 0:43Speaker 1: out where they quote an awful lot of people have
- 0:46Speaker 1: a vested interest in this right. So who hates the
- 0:50Speaker 1: Iran deal? Let's start with the Obama people, because they
- 0:54Speaker 1: want to tell you that his deal was just as good.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Note to Mark Simone, it was not just as good.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And for one thing, we are now confronting an Iranian
- 1:04Speaker 1: regime handing them a deal when they are flat on
- 1:08Speaker 1: their back. Obama never did that. I mean he let
- 1:10Speaker 1: the regime basically prosper gave him a lot of money,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and I spent yesterday kind of going through all the
- 1:17Speaker 1: evidence we have, and there's monumental evidence that Iran cheated
- 1:21Speaker 1: on their JCPOA, the twenty fifteen Obama deal from the
- 1:26Speaker 1: day for the first even before it was inked, they
- 1:29Speaker 1: were cheating on it. So all right, the Obama people
- 1:31Speaker 1: we should pay no attention to. All Right, the pro
- 1:35Speaker 1: Israel crowd is not one hundred percent happy because there
- 1:39Speaker 1: is every expectation that Israel is going to have to
- 1:45Speaker 1: step back from its attacks on Lebanon. But I think
- 1:49Speaker 1: at the end of the day, everyone also recognizes that
- 1:52Speaker 1: if Hesbela attacks Israel, they will respond. So I really
- 1:56Speaker 1: don't take that very seriously. I don't mean to suggest
- 1:59Speaker 1: that Israel should not be a partner in this. Of
- 2:02Speaker 1: course they should be, and they have been, and I
- 2:06Speaker 1: think going forward they know that we will have their
- 2:09Speaker 1: back under President Trump. Then there's the pro Iran faction,
- 2:14Speaker 1: and there are some of those people, and I really
- 2:17Speaker 1: mean the people who are very invested in the people
- 2:20Speaker 1: of Iran and who wanted to see regime change, you know, Mark,
- 2:24Speaker 1: At the end of the day, regime change has to
- 2:26Speaker 1: come in Iran from the people. Every time the United
- 2:31Speaker 1: States has stepped in with the possible exception of Venezuela,
- 2:35Speaker 1: and change the top leadership of a country it has
- 2:39Speaker 1: not fared well. So I think in this case, what
- 2:44Speaker 1: is a possible right spot or bright outlook is that, yes,
- 2:49Speaker 1: we work with the golf countries to kind of get
- 2:53Speaker 1: Iran back on its feet, because a completely devastated Iran,
- 3:00Speaker 1: which is what it is now, is really a source
- 3:02Speaker 1: of instability, not a source of stability. But increasingly have
- 3:07Speaker 1: involvements with the Iranian people, the Iranian government, and rating
- 3:11Speaker 1: companies that probably that may or may not preclude a
- 3:16Speaker 1: reversion to the mean, which the mean in Iran is
- 3:19Speaker 1: just NonStop warfare against all of its neighbors that cannot
- 3:22Speaker 1: be tolerated. It cannot be tolerated that they control the
- 3:26Speaker 1: Strait of Hormuz. I think Trump knows that he won't
- 3:29Speaker 1: allow that. But meanwhile, the world needs oil, and I
- 3:32Speaker 1: think he really wants this to happen so that the
- 3:35Speaker 1: strait is opened and the oil supply resumes.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah. He also pointed out it's not fair to say
- 3:43Speaker 2: there's been no regime change. In the first day, he
- 3:45Speaker 2: killed the whole leadership, all fourteen people. There was a
- 3:48Speaker 2: second group of leaders. He then killed them. We're on
- 3:50Speaker 2: the third group. So that is a little regime change,
- 3:53Speaker 2: isn't it.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah. I agree with you one hundred percent. And you know,
- 3:57Speaker 1: people were saying, oh my gosh, he's lauding the current group. Well,
- 4:01Speaker 1: the current group could be like Delsi Rodriguez. I don't
- 4:04Speaker 1: know anything about them really, but where they figure. You
- 4:08Speaker 1: know what, A I want to survive personally, I don't
- 4:10Speaker 1: really want to get killed by the United States and
- 4:13Speaker 1: Israel and b You know. The way to do that
- 4:17Speaker 1: is to possibly work with them. And by the way,
- 4:19Speaker 1: if it helps our country, it helps the people, my
- 4:23Speaker 1: future is more secure. I mean, there is a scenario
- 4:27Speaker 1: here where the people that Trump is now saying are pragmatic,
- 4:32Speaker 1: et cetera. Maybe they are in survival mode and they
- 4:36Speaker 1: know what they have to do to survive. So I
- 4:39Speaker 1: agree with you.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah. And this is not the end of this. This
- 4:42Speaker 2: is not the final chapter. This is a middle right. Yeah, Hey,
- 4:46Speaker 2: I haven't talked to you since Elon Musk became a trillionaire.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Why do they get so mad at him on the left?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Do they believe that he took the money from somebody else?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Why are they so ad that's the thing.
- 4:57Speaker 1: It's a zero sum group, right, must makes a dollar,
- 5:01Speaker 1: somebody else loses a dollar, which actually goes to the
- 5:04Speaker 1: fact that they fundamentally don't understand capitalism and the way
- 5:08Speaker 1: it works. Elon Musk has created wealth. He has created
- 5:12Speaker 1: companies out of nothing that all of a sudden become
- 5:15Speaker 1: worth a great deal of money. That doesn't take away
- 5:19Speaker 1: anything from the Hispanic day laborer who can't buy who's
- 5:24Speaker 1: having a hard time buying bread and coffee right now, right,
- 5:27Speaker 1: I mean, there is no connection there. What really galls me.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren is out there saying, oh, he's a trillionaire
- 5:37Speaker 1: three hundred billion dollars with solve homelessness in America. No,
- 5:41Speaker 1: when we have a federal budget of seven trillion dollars.
- 5:45Speaker 1: If Elon Musk is corrupt because he's got one trillion,
- 5:48Speaker 1: how about the federal government having seven trillion and doing
- 5:51Speaker 1: very little that most Americans think is really terrific, including
- 5:55Speaker 1: not solving homelessness. So I think all this chatter on
- 5:59Speaker 1: the level, it's sort of politics of envy. They know
- 6:03Speaker 1: that they can kind of gin up a lot of
- 6:06Speaker 1: again envy amongst people who also would like to have
- 6:10Speaker 1: a trillion dollars. They don't understand how Must did it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Must did it because he created these marvelous companies. Not
- 6:16Speaker 1: only by the way. They used to love Elon Musk
- 6:19Speaker 1: because he put Evs on the map, something that the
- 6:21Speaker 1: left really really wanted to happen. But then they began
- 6:24Speaker 1: to hate him because he didn't use union labor, which
- 6:27Speaker 1: kind of shows you that yin and yang of leftist priorities.
- 6:32Speaker 1: But then he also created Neuralink, which gives hope to
- 6:34Speaker 1: people who are paralyzed that they may somehow have productive
- 6:39Speaker 1: lives going forward. Obviously starlink is it dominates global satellite
- 6:44Speaker 1: communications and has been very influential in Ukraine surviving the
- 6:49Speaker 1: attack from Russia and other geopolitical events also. And then
- 6:54Speaker 1: of course SpaceX is just an amazing thing. I mean,
- 6:56Speaker 1: he conceptualized the simple rocket concept and made it a reality,
- 7:03Speaker 1: and it wasn't easy with three failures and finally, you know,
- 7:06Speaker 1: down to survival mode they got the fourth one in
- 7:10Speaker 1: the sky. So I give him just enormous credit. And yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 1: he's made a lot of money. Good for him, that's
- 7:16Speaker 1: what's supposed to happen in America. And frankly, Mark thank God,
- 7:19Speaker 1: he came to America and he's not still in South Africa.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Aren't we happy he's here? Yes?
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's well said. We got this crazy mom
- 7:28Speaker 2: Donnie as mayor, and now we see running for assembly
- 7:33Speaker 2: legislat we show all these crazy, kooky mom Donnie types,
- 7:36Speaker 2: he's endorsing them. What are we going to do about
- 7:38Speaker 2: this whole new crop of nuts that we got running.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Well, it's a good question. I don't think their appeal
- 7:44Speaker 1: goes much beyond really progressive blue cities like New York
- 7:48Speaker 1: and LA. Thankfully they have had, you know, primaries across
- 7:53Speaker 1: the country where the progressive candidate lost out. But here
- 7:56Speaker 1: in New York, Mom Donnie really astonishingly is lending his
- 8:02Speaker 1: weight and popularity to electing someone that honestly really should
- 8:06Speaker 1: not be electable at all. I do love the fact
- 8:09Speaker 1: that these people, including this one, comes out of nowhere
- 8:14Speaker 1: and oh gosh, it turns out that really they've said hateful, racist,
- 8:19Speaker 1: anti American things up until like two years ago on
- 8:23Speaker 1: social media. But then they apologize and they take down
- 8:27Speaker 1: their social media sites, and we're supposed to think what
- 8:29Speaker 1: that they didn't mean it, that that was fake. And
- 8:32Speaker 1: now this is a real person running for office. It's preposterous.
- 8:36Speaker 1: So look, time will eventually get rid of these people,
- 8:41Speaker 1: I believe, because they're not going to really produce anything
- 8:43Speaker 1: of value for voters. What doesn't shock me a little
- 8:47Speaker 1: bit is the Democratic establishment. The person this radical leftist
- 8:52Speaker 1: is running against is the share of the Hispanic caucus.
- 8:55Speaker 1: How can that be a really popular thing with the
- 9:00Speaker 1: voters in New York? I can't imagine. Esbiot is the
- 9:05Speaker 1: four term congressman at risk here and again not believes
- 9:09Speaker 1: he shared the Hispanic caucus. He's a very popular guy
- 9:12Speaker 1: in Congress. So where is where Chuck Schumer and Hakim
- 9:15Speaker 1: Jeffries and all these people? Why aren't they weighing in?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Because they're scared to death? I mean, how pathetic is that?
- 9:22Speaker 1: The Democrats? We you know, Republicans have some problems inner
- 9:26Speaker 1: party warfare going on. Boy, the Democrats are really big
- 9:30Speaker 1: time fighting each other, and we're going to see it
- 9:32Speaker 1: on steroids as we approach not just the midterms but
- 9:36Speaker 1: twenty twenty eight.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Well, well, Lizpeak, brilliant as always. Now the best place
- 9:41Speaker 2: to read your columns Foxnews dot com in The Hill
