- 1:39Speaker 1: Henry Show encore presentation. Hey everybody, welcome to today's show for
- 1:44Speaker 1: July the second, twenty twenty. We're gonna go back to Wednesday,
- 1:47Speaker 1: July fourth, the fourth of July of twenty eighteen. Why
- 1:50Speaker 1: are we doing that? Usually, as you know, we like
- 1:53Speaker 1: to land on the exact same date that we are
- 1:54Speaker 1: experiencing in the here and the now. However, you may
- 1:58Speaker 1: recall two summers ago, our try caster was gradually giving out.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I had no experience with tricasters. I had no I
- 2:04Speaker 1: didn't know what was going on. We thought we had
- 2:06Speaker 1: a bad connection to our server or who had like
- 2:10Speaker 1: U stream. We thought they were screwing us up. Now
- 2:11Speaker 1: the TriCaster was giving out so on the show that
- 2:14Speaker 1: we had prepared, it.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Like that shit.
- 2:18Speaker 1: So I know, you know a lot of you guys
- 2:21Speaker 1: like it weird. I mean sometimes you like it too weird.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Sometimes you like it so weird. I've got to dive
- 2:26Speaker 1: into my car and just hit the gas with my
- 2:29Speaker 1: hand and not even see where I'm going and just
- 2:31Speaker 1: but in this instance, I have to save you. So
- 2:34Speaker 1: we're going to go with a show from Wednesday, July fourth,
- 2:36Speaker 1: twenty eighteen. Mouth Siren Cop makes an appearance, as does
- 2:40Speaker 1: the great veteran of musical theater, close friend of Margaret
- 2:43Speaker 1: and the retirement home superstar, John Jerryman. But the big
- 2:46Speaker 1: moment is when Phil, a few minutes into the show,
- 2:50Speaker 1: knocks a cup of coffee over onto his desk and
- 2:53Speaker 1: immediately bust the fourth wall. Holy shit, I'm not so
- 2:58Speaker 1: sure I'm gonna want to see this. Well, let's listen
- 3:00Speaker 1: to it, let's watch it. Let's I don't know what
- 3:01Speaker 1: the hell we're gonna do with it. Here it is, folks.
- 3:04Speaker 1: This is from July four of twenty eighteen. July four
- 3:08Speaker 1: not our usual encore show, but nonetheless I'm show one
- 3:12Speaker 1: that you will enjoy immensely. And from the Hill Pacifico
- 3:17Speaker 1: here in southern California, you're listening to the world famous
- 3:21Speaker 1: Fill Every show. I am General Gaylin Sharp guest hosting
- 3:24Speaker 1: here on the fourth of July twenty eighteen. Yeah, and
- 3:29Speaker 1: your fun Bud Dickman is here. And Margaret, I see
- 3:32Speaker 1: that you've decided to Well. I never released said I
- 3:35Speaker 1: was not gonna be here. Oh, I thought you were
- 3:37Speaker 1: thinking about it. I thought if Frank didn't golf today,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I wouldn't met here.
- 3:41Speaker 2: But Frank's at golfing, and we're gonna talk to Frank,
- 3:43Speaker 2: aren't we. I hope so yes, I think Frank is
- 3:46Speaker 2: gonna join us. I know that Robert is who isn't here.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Robert's not here.
- 3:51Speaker 1: He's only when it isn't Roberts got he's got a
- 3:54Speaker 1: busy date, doesn't he?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Well, he but do you know about it?
- 3:56Speaker 3: Yeah, he's he's got his family owns like Celery gas stations,
- 4:01Speaker 3: you know.
- 4:01Speaker 1: So he's gonna be managing all of these.
- 4:04Speaker 2: He's going between gas stations.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what he says, you know. Yeah. No, maybe
- 4:08Speaker 3: he's gonna be faking it.
- 4:09Speaker 2: No, I doubt that.
- 4:10Speaker 1: But if he's got seven businesses, he's got to look
- 4:12Speaker 1: at why isn't he doing that every day?
- 4:15Speaker 5: I think his deal with Phil is that this is
- 4:17Speaker 5: the first job, but the gas stations can go.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Straight to hell is No, it isn't.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I doubt that.
- 4:23Speaker 5: I don't know, but you can call Phil if you want.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Oh fuck, I fucking dump coffee all over this, motherfucker.
- 4:32Speaker 5: Wait a minute, Oh, you fucking whore.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Wait a minute.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I knew that had happened one of these days, you motherfucker.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I knew that would happen one of these fucking days.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Oh fuck me, I.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Think I'll keep this in the show. Well, I'm gonna
- 4:49Speaker 1: keep this in the show. I'm gonna keep in all
- 4:52Speaker 1: of this horrific spilt coffee. Oh my god, god damn it.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Nothing in this goddamn world. And you know, this is
- 5:07Speaker 1: a true story. When I got into this business, the
- 5:11Speaker 1: first thing they would say to he is keep the
- 5:12Speaker 1: fucking drinks and the food out of the studio, you know.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And he'd always wanted, what are they saying that just
- 5:16Speaker 1: to be a pain in the ass, because I'm careful
- 5:18Speaker 1: with my drinks and everything, and god damn it, why
- 5:21Speaker 1: can't I bring a cocaine? I used to say that
- 5:23Speaker 1: all the fucking time. Everybody that I knew, we'd say
- 5:25Speaker 1: that all the time. And I was an engineer for
- 5:28Speaker 1: I was an audio engineer for brief time at Westwood One,
- 5:32Speaker 1: and we had a guy, uh named Michael Jordan, whose
- 5:36Speaker 1: son is Dax Jordan, who is a great young up
- 5:39Speaker 1: and coming stand up comic. And Dax was the MC
- 5:42Speaker 1: sort of MC audio sound light guy at the heart
- 5:46Speaker 1: of an improv for a long time.
- 5:48Speaker 3: I digress.
- 5:50Speaker 1: His dad was a ballbuster of that shit, so he'd say,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you know, heap that shit out of the studio. And
- 5:56Speaker 1: I actually one day spilt coffee down a equalizer. Now
- 6:01Speaker 1: I have to say, in my defense, the graphic equalizer
- 6:05Speaker 1: was built into the desk, meaning you know, it wasn't
- 6:10Speaker 1: up on a rack. It was built flat into the desk.
- 6:13Speaker 1: So if you anything got spilled, even water, you'd you know.
- 6:19Speaker 1: So sure enough I spilled cofeede on this thing, which
- 6:22Speaker 1: made the operations manager, a guy whose name I will
- 6:24Speaker 1: not mention because he was a fucking prick, uh, literally
- 6:29Speaker 1: sat there calling me an asshole as he was cleaning
- 6:31Speaker 1: this p What an asshole? This kind of shit, right
- 6:34Speaker 1: if I.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Won't even comment.
- 6:36Speaker 1: But anyway, that didn't even cure me the problem. No,
- 6:41Speaker 1: it's taking owning equipment myself. That's what it's taken. Look
- 6:46Speaker 1: at that fucking thing. What a bitch. I think I'm
- 6:50Speaker 1: all out of fucking mousepads too. That's a bitch.
- 6:58Speaker 3: H God damn it.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Well, what you've just heard, folks, is a live in studio. Okay,
- 7:05Speaker 1: just dump coffee all over my goddamn desk here. The
- 7:09Speaker 1: good news is none of the equipment got compromised. The
- 7:13Speaker 1: bad news is, uh, none of the equipment got compromised.
- 7:17Speaker 1: So I haven't learned my lesson. I'll probably still continue
- 7:18Speaker 1: to bring coffee in here. And one of the things
- 7:21Speaker 1: is those of you who have never seen me work,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I move around a lot. It's a very physical gig
- 7:26Speaker 1: that I do. And you can ask my BSPs. I'll
- 7:29Speaker 1: tell you. All right, so you're this shit, God damn it,
- 7:35Speaker 1: beautiful thing man returning to go ahead, returning to the program. Now, folks, sorry,
- 7:45Speaker 1: so Henry dumps coffee.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Anyway, the question was do you want me? I guess
- 7:49Speaker 2: we don't have to call Phil now.
- 7:50Speaker 3: You wanted to call you a snry No?
- 7:52Speaker 4: All right, So.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Anyway, welcome to the program. That's fourth of July. Pro
- 7:56Speaker 1: What a way to kick that off? Huh, Fill's in
- 7:58Speaker 1: here doing our voices, and well, don't start.
- 8:02Speaker 2: To give us the inside baseball?
- 8:04Speaker 3: Are you? You're serious? Right? But you mean his grade's
- 8:06Speaker 3: already been cad Man.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Look, Bud, don't piss me off.
- 8:10Speaker 1: All right, the kid makes a good point.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I do too. Well what point is that?
- 8:14Speaker 1: Well, we weren't allowed to make the point because you
- 8:15Speaker 1: were threatening us. But the fact is, I'm I'm.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Just saying, don't give them the inside baseball.
- 8:20Speaker 1: But the fact is he just did.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Yeah, what do you call him? Come in, clean up
- 8:23Speaker 3: a coffee and everything pretty good included.
- 8:26Speaker 1: You know what, Margaret, you know, be a gracious loser.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Okay, what if I lost? Exactly?
- 8:30Speaker 1: Well, there's one for discussion, is that right? Well, ait
- 8:34Speaker 1: a minute, Wait a minute, don't don't. Phil told me
- 8:35Speaker 1: to keep all the fights to a minimum. We've already
- 8:38Speaker 1: got coffee porto all over everything. We start breaking up
- 8:40Speaker 1: the equipment. God knows what will happen before the day
- 8:43Speaker 1: is out. Anyway, leadies, don't we Welcome to the program, General
- 8:46Speaker 1: Galen Shaw. Shaw is your last name?
- 8:49Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 8:49Speaker 2: I know, General Galen Shaw. Here.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Now, there's a couple of things we had planned. One
- 8:54Speaker 1: of them is John Jerryman is going to sing.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Is that right, Margaret?
- 8:57Speaker 5: Yes, John is going to be singing. We also have
- 9:00Speaker 5: mouth Sirvan Cop, but John will be singing from the
- 9:03Speaker 5: Blue Hills Retirement there in the Philadelphia area. They're having
- 9:08Speaker 5: the fourth of July party, so I thought we'd mike
- 9:10Speaker 5: him in.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Yes, and we do have both Siren cop as well.
- 9:13Speaker 1: The Great Lloyd Bonafied returns and he'll be out there
- 9:17Speaker 1: on the highways and byways patrolling in the areas in
- 9:20Speaker 1: and around southern California. Now, he is primarily a guy
- 9:23Speaker 1: who's primarily a guy who works in the city of Alahambra.
- 9:28Speaker 1: And that's because they gave you a license there, Halloyd,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and they.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Gave me a license to take it anywhe that I
- 9:34Speaker 4: think looks like an asshole.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Now, Lloyd, this is Margaret. How do you determine who
- 9:38Speaker 2: looks like an asshole?
- 9:40Speaker 4: How do I determine who looks like an asshole? There's
- 9:42Speaker 4: a really great question. I can't really tell you other
- 9:45Speaker 4: than to say that a lot of times, if they
- 9:48Speaker 4: just bug me. If somebody's first, it's Margaret, I made
- 9:51Speaker 4: no offense. But when you came on and go, how
- 9:54Speaker 4: do you you know, want you to do that?
- 9:56Speaker 3: You're gonna tell me it is great.
- 9:57Speaker 2: So in other words, you just you thought you'd give
- 9:59Speaker 2: me it ticket.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Huh, Well, I'm not gonna assure you if I decided
- 10:02Speaker 4: to give you a ticket, sided, I would give you
- 10:04Speaker 4: a ticket.
- 10:05Speaker 1: You think, so, wait a minute, because this is how
- 10:07Speaker 1: these fights start.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Well, then tell her to have some respect, because I.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Have respect for you.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Who is great? God? You know, Dad, your honest thing.
- 10:16Speaker 4: By the way, I heard, I heard Henry dump all
- 10:19Speaker 4: the coffee? What a born?
- 10:20Speaker 1: Yeah, well that was a good That was a good play,
- 10:22Speaker 1: right there.
- 10:23Speaker 4: I see. As a matter of fact, Oh, hold on
- 10:25Speaker 4: for just a minute. You gotta get this thing going.
- 10:27Speaker 4: I just saw somebody I'm gonna push somebody away right now?
- 10:30Speaker 1: Okay, all right, love siren coffee.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Oh all right, let me get off this sing? Wait aute?
- 10:47Speaker 4: You're gonna love this? Yeah? Oh fuck are you doing? Phil? Yeah? Great?
- 10:52Speaker 4: What do I get a ticket? Dad? You're damn right
- 10:54Speaker 4: you're getting a ticket because you look like an asshole
- 10:57Speaker 4: to me because you heard me do then up the
- 11:00Speaker 4: coffee telling everybody here you go, Phil, there's your ticket.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Thanks so very much for you know, talking to me.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Mo'm siren coffy. Thank me for letting you exist, Sedigan.
- 11:10Speaker 4: You gotta thank me for letting you exist. I might
- 11:13Speaker 4: get a load of this guy, will you, Phil.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Be a bet you'd be a better loser than that,
- 11:17Speaker 2: be more gracious.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Okay, thank you very much, sir. Why don't your buzz off?
- 11:21Speaker 4: You're a loser? All right? Thank you a lot, everybody
- 11:24Speaker 4: that is.
- 11:25Speaker 6: I'm sorry, couppeg so well, boy, that guy is weird.
- 11:38Speaker 3: There's no question about it. He gives, he gives a ticket,
- 11:40Speaker 3: and you gotta gives him life.
- 11:42Speaker 2: You know something.
- 11:43Speaker 5: I just think because the man gives him life, it
- 11:45Speaker 5: doesn't mean that he's his slave.
- 11:46Speaker 4: You know.
- 11:47Speaker 5: I think Phil should do what Phil ought to do.
- 11:50Speaker 5: That reminds me of the character that he plays down
- 11:52Speaker 5: fis for family.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Who is it?
- 11:54Speaker 1: Oh?
- 11:54Speaker 2: Cult luger. Yeah, man's gotta do what a man does?
- 11:56Speaker 3: No, he goes, I get a man's gotta do when
- 12:00Speaker 3: the man with the man did what the man does?
- 12:03Speaker 1: Oh you suck? I waite, who sucks. I don't think
- 12:06Speaker 1: either one of you guys even got close to nailing that.
- 12:09Speaker 1: This is General Galan Shaw.
- 12:10Speaker 3: I'm Margaret Gray and but Dick Moon on a special
- 12:13Speaker 3: Fourth of July show and are going to be right back.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Right after these messages.

- 12:56Speaker 1: of Goosen. You know, Kowser Pontiac has been around for
- 12:59Speaker 1: a long long time. In my mind, I only opened
- 13:02Speaker 1: it up last week, But I don't think that matters.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I think it counts that it existed in my mind
- 13:06Speaker 1: between my ears from the time I was five years
- 13:08Speaker 1: old until today I'm forty seven. That's forty two years
- 13:10Speaker 1: that Kowser Pontiac has been serving you mentally in my mind,
- 13:14Speaker 1: with great Pontiacs, great automotive service, and all of the
- 13:16Speaker 1: great right things that you've come to expect from. In
- 13:19Speaker 1: my mind, I thought you came to expect that from
- 13:21Speaker 1: Kowser Pontiac. Kowser Pontiac has all the latest cars. They
- 13:24Speaker 1: have all the latest styles, have all the latest fashions.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Not cars, but the clothes that people wear, including my salesmen.
- 13:29Speaker 1: They wear bow ties and vests. You've got a problem
- 13:31Speaker 1: with that, you take it up with me. That's right,
- 13:33Speaker 1: Kowser Pontiac. I made up the address. That's right, Kowser Pontiac.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Come on in and see us. Okay, we just opened
- 13:38Speaker 1: our doors, but were forty two years in the making
- 13:41Speaker 1: between my ears as I stared off in the classroom
- 13:43Speaker 1: looking at the sunset, looking at all the clouds, and
- 13:45Speaker 1: the teacher said, little Bobby Kawser, there's trouble coming your way.
- 13:48Speaker 1: We're gonna have to have the sisters bring the car
- 13:50Speaker 1: battery back in Kawser Pontiac for forty two years in
- 13:53Speaker 1: his mind, in his immutable mind.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Hi, Lonnie Dangan here with weather every morning at.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Six fifteen on Kayfink K s n K eleven ninety
- 14:02Speaker 1: on your dial, whose dial your dial? Right back to
- 14:07Speaker 1: we famous Hilary short of fourth to Joe I Show,
- 14:10Speaker 1: And I.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Think we're going to go down to Blue Hills in
- 14:14Speaker 5: the Philadelphia metropolitan Philadelphia area. We have John Jerryman with us,
- 14:18Speaker 5: and John's going to sing for us. John, so good
- 14:23Speaker 5: to have you with us. I have to turn the
- 14:25Speaker 5: music down. We have a little bit of a party
- 14:27Speaker 5: going here. Ourselves.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Sounds like it, Margaret. Well, we've got our annual party
- 14:32Speaker 4: here at our Senior Center, and I'll be singing for
- 14:35Speaker 4: many of the people. But I'm so grateful that you called.
- 14:39Speaker 1: This is General Galen Shaw, John, a very very pleasant force.
- 14:43Speaker 4: If youly to you, I have General Shaw. I appreciate that.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Thank you. I would appreciate if you called me mister Jerryman,
- 14:49Speaker 4: as long as you're using your formal time. If you
- 14:51Speaker 4: did not use your formal title, and then I would
- 14:53Speaker 4: be okay to use John.
- 14:55Speaker 2: All right, I'm sorry, mister Jerryman.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Thank you. I appreciate that.
- 14:58Speaker 2: John.
- 14:59Speaker 5: It is the fourth of and so we're wondering if
- 15:02Speaker 5: you'll savor us with a patriotic number.
- 15:05Speaker 4: I am going to do that right now. Can you
- 15:08Speaker 4: you know that I've had.
- 15:08Speaker 2: These This is an ongoing problem with the woman. Not
- 15:11Speaker 2: this woman again.
- 15:12Speaker 4: I she's a lady who is constantly trying to un
- 15:14Speaker 4: zip on it. All right, John, make sure he's under
- 15:18Speaker 4: control there, I'm under controlled. Make sure the lady in
- 15:21Speaker 4: the front row there, Charlie. I'll try. I don't know, no,
- 15:24Speaker 4: try do it if you don't mind. There's a wonderful
- 15:27Speaker 4: song that I've enjoyed down to the years. There's a
- 15:31Speaker 4: wonderful song that I've enjoyed down through the years, Margaret
- 15:34Speaker 4: and General Sharp, and it's a song called You're a
- 15:37Speaker 4: Grand Old Flag.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I love this.
- 15:41Speaker 4: There's a feeling comes as stealing, and it sets my
- 15:44Speaker 4: brain a reeling when I'm listening to the music of
- 15:47Speaker 4: a military band any too, Like Yankee Doodle simply sets
- 15:52Speaker 4: me off, my new Noodle. It's that patriotics something no
- 15:56Speaker 4: one can understand. See, Zippy, I got the cop That's
- 16:04Speaker 4: what I'm talking about.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I can't have that live on the air. John, you
- 16:07Speaker 2: need to get her under control.
- 16:08Speaker 4: I'm trying.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Do you know this is the third or fourth time
- 16:10Speaker 2: we've had him on the air. You know if you
- 16:12Speaker 2: can't do it, we can't have you on the air.
- 16:14Speaker 4: I understand. Ask me if I can.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Oh God, if mister Henry heard that, he wouldn't want
- 16:19Speaker 3: you to be on the air.
- 16:20Speaker 4: If mister Henry heard that, where is he? We got
- 16:23Speaker 4: her tied in the closet right now? All right? They
- 16:25Speaker 4: tell me she's tied up in the closet.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Can we edit out the whole thing about the zipper?
- 16:28Speaker 4: You're asking me, No, I'm asking, yes.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Bud, Yeah, I'll be able to edit it out.
- 16:33Speaker 4: All right, there's a feeling, comes a reeling.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I tell you, just pick it up from where you well,
- 16:37Speaker 2: I met the people.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Are listening for God's sake.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Yes, but if it tends, she tends to reattack if
- 16:42Speaker 5: you start the song all over again, whatever that means.
- 16:44Speaker 4: But I'll try. Well, I don't know where I was.
- 16:47Speaker 3: You're talking about. They're pants.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I got pants.
- 16:52Speaker 1: No, No, it said there's a tune called Yankee Doodle.
- 16:55Speaker 1: It sets me off my noodle. Let's say, yeah, there
- 16:57Speaker 1: it is.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Oh, that's right, there's a tune like Yankee Doodle. It
- 17:01Speaker 4: sets me off, my noodle. It's that patriotic something no
- 17:04Speaker 4: one can understand. And away down south in the land
- 17:10Speaker 4: of cotton melody untiring. Ain't that inspiring? Hurrah, Hurrah, will
- 17:14Speaker 4: join the jubilee. And that's going by some for the
- 17:17Speaker 4: Yankees by gum, red, white and blue. Oh, you're a
- 17:24Speaker 4: grand ole flag. You're a high flying flag and forever
- 17:28Speaker 4: a piece you wave. Yeah, you're the symbol of the land.
- 17:32Speaker 4: I love, the home of the brave and the free.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Every one little ah, how'd she get out?
- 17:42Speaker 2: What's going on.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Now she got out. I'm sorry, do.
- 17:44Speaker 2: You guys have handcuffs for luck?
- 17:46Speaker 4: That's a gentleman on the radio that I'm talking.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I think handcuffs is a good idea.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Yeah, you got handcuffs. They're asking maybe maybe not business,
- 17:53Speaker 4: it's my goddamn business.
- 17:55Speaker 2: We gotta watch the language, all right.
- 17:58Speaker 3: You're you're the symbol of the land.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Yes, you're the symbol. Love the land. I love the
- 18:03Speaker 4: home of the brave and the free. Every heart beats
- 18:07Speaker 4: true under red, white and blue, where there's never a
- 18:10Speaker 4: bow stoor brag? Should old acquaintance be forgot? Keep your
- 18:15Speaker 4: eye on the grand old see zipper again? Here? Whoa?
- 18:20Speaker 4: I'll beat her to death if you don't get her
- 18:22Speaker 4: out of here right now.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I'll get her for this is ridiculous. I don't know
- 18:25Speaker 2: what's going on there. You should call the police.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Get the cops over here here. I mean, we don't
- 18:29Speaker 4: need that doing. Get the cops over here, and another
- 18:31Speaker 4: old man, I gotta do it.
- 18:32Speaker 2: What's going on there?
- 18:33Speaker 3: Anyway?
- 18:33Speaker 4: I don't know the man that owns the retirement homeworre
- 18:36Speaker 4: he and is here visiting today. He lord's over us
- 18:38Speaker 4: like a dictator or something. As a rhythm. Today, mister German,
- 18:41Speaker 4: everything today, I'm still getting selled up by that old lady.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Gotta do something about it. And by the way, we're
- 18:45Speaker 4: on the Phil Henry podcast all over America. This is
- 18:49Speaker 4: that wonderful. I'll see you in my office later. That
- 18:52Speaker 4: could mean I'm gonna get a car battery.
- 18:53Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 18:55Speaker 4: You don't know.
- 18:56Speaker 5: Look, John, I don't want your health or your safety
- 18:58Speaker 5: being violated there.
- 18:59Speaker 4: I don't worry. I got an eye on him. I
- 19:02Speaker 4: want her locked up. I don't care. How where was I?
- 19:04Speaker 3: You actually finished the song?
- 19:06Speaker 4: Where was I?
- 19:07Speaker 2: Okay?
- 19:07Speaker 3: You're Randall's flag.
- 19:08Speaker 4: You're a grand old flag. You're a high flying flag,
- 19:11Speaker 4: and forever in peace you wave. You're the symbol of
- 19:15Speaker 4: the land I love, the home of the brave end,
- 19:18Speaker 4: or the free end, the brave. Every heart beats blue
- 19:21Speaker 4: for the red, white and true. I mean, every heart
- 19:23Speaker 4: beats blue for the red true, and every heart beats blue,
- 19:27Speaker 4: Every heart beats blue for the blue tube to boo.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Just keep keep killing with it.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Handfoot, and it's never a boast or brag. Should old
- 19:38Speaker 4: acquaintance be forgot? Keep your flag on the grand old eye.
- 19:42Speaker 3: I mean keep your eye.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it. Keep your eyes on the flag on
- 19:46Speaker 4: a grand flag. Keep your eye on the grand flag,
- 19:50Speaker 4: the flag on the grand old flag. Oh, man, at
- 19:54Speaker 4: this beautiful away from here. Where're gonna kill it? They're hustling.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I'm calling the police.
- 20:02Speaker 4: No, no, it's all right.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Well there he goes John Jerryman, ladies and gentlemen, with
- 20:07Speaker 1: You're a grand old flag, You're a high flying flag,
- 20:10Speaker 1: and all that other jazz.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Yeah, Joe, that's a real song, right, Yes, it's a
- 20:14Speaker 3: real song. Well, but that's not what I would call
- 20:17Speaker 3: one of the traditional patriotic songs, is it. Well, yes,
- 20:20Speaker 3: it's a what do you mean, it's not like it's
- 20:21Speaker 3: not like the star's bangled banner. It's not like America beautiful,
- 20:24Speaker 3: it's not like God, you know, God bless America or
- 20:28Speaker 3: anything like that.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Well, no, it's not those songs. What's the point?
- 20:31Speaker 3: Who cares if he butchered it out? It's a it's
- 20:33Speaker 3: a song of my understanding. Grand Old Flag is from
- 20:36Speaker 3: a play by George M. Cohan. And uh, and that's
- 20:40Speaker 3: kind of a weird way of saying that name, ain't it?
- 20:42Speaker 3: And usually Cohen it's Irish. There's two ways to pronounce again.
- 20:45Speaker 3: There's the Irish Cohen. There's the Cohen, which is more European. Uh,
- 20:49Speaker 3: you mean more Jewish, all right, more European Jewish.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Yes. And then there is Kowan or kahane, and those
- 20:56Speaker 1: are also a sort of Mediterranean. But at the same
- 20:58Speaker 1: time Native America. You talk about Native American, that's my understanding.
- 21:03Speaker 1: You never heard of Big Chief Khin. You never heard
- 21:06Speaker 1: of him? No, I did not hear Big Chief Khine.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I hope you better start learning about him. He kicked
- 21:11Speaker 1: some serious cavalry ass back in the day, ladies and
- 21:14Speaker 1: gentlemen earlier, excuse me, I'm earlier, ladies and gentlemen. Yes,
- 21:18Speaker 1: earlier we had a cup of coffee spilled all over
- 21:22Speaker 1: the equipment by mister Henry, who was doing my voice.
- 21:26Speaker 1: He's had to leave and now he's in his car
- 21:28Speaker 1: going home and he got a ticket from Mouthsarn Cop.
- 21:30Speaker 1: So he's a mess. But what we wanted to do
- 21:33Speaker 1: today is bring on Bob Green, the owner of Fraser Foods,
- 21:38Speaker 1: and Bob has been involved in quite a bit political
- 21:41Speaker 1: stuff lately. We thought we'd get him back on track.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I don't know where he is. Nine three, line three now, Bob,
- 21:47Speaker 1: I understand, of course you have decidedly jumped into the
- 21:50Speaker 1: political fray here in the United States. A big supporter
- 21:53Speaker 1: of President Trump, Is that right?
- 21:55Speaker 4: H Yeah, I'm a big supporter. Don't worry about it.
- 21:58Speaker 4: I'm a big support President. Does mean I don't still
- 22:00Speaker 4: on at a department store, I know, I don't know
- 22:05Speaker 4: at a grocery store. What was the point?
- 22:08Speaker 5: Well, you're talking about putting people in work camps and
- 22:10Speaker 5: and and you know, political prisoners.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Oh, that's down the road. But I'm still primarily running
- 22:17Speaker 4: Frazer Foods. Yeah, is there a problem that?
- 22:19Speaker 1: No, there's no problem. We wanted to go back to
- 22:21Speaker 1: the days when you were really funny, and this was
- 22:24Speaker 1: July second of two thousand and four, when you were
- 22:27Speaker 1: protesting the fact that people with bad teeth were buying
- 22:31Speaker 1: corn on the cob on the fourth of July. And
- 22:33Speaker 1: we want to play this very special special track here
- 22:36Speaker 1: on the fourth of July.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Oh, I see, so before I.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Started, before you started with the Trump and all that stuff.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Uh huh, what a couple of assholes there.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Here is Bob Green from the fourth of July two
- 22:49Speaker 1: thousand and four, and people with bad teeth should not
- 22:53Speaker 1: eat caught on the cob.
- 22:54Speaker 3: By the way, that's really that's still a good idea
- 22:56Speaker 3: to hold.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Yes, that's true.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Here is Phil and Bob Green from two thousand and four.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I'm Margaret Gray.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Yay, okay, listeners coming up mark yes and now on
- 23:15Speaker 1: this Bill Henry Show. Bob Green is the CEO of
- 23:18Speaker 1: Fraser Foods and he's on with us this fourth of
- 23:20Speaker 1: July weekend to talk about what's coming up, what are
- 23:22Speaker 1: some of the popular barbecue foods people are buying, what's
- 23:25Speaker 1: the popular picnic fair? And I guess today, Bob, is
- 23:28Speaker 1: the day when people are really stocking up. Because it
- 23:30Speaker 1: sounds pretty busy.
- 23:31Speaker 4: It is busy, Phil, As a matter of fact, it's
- 23:33Speaker 4: one of the busiest days of the year. And we're
- 23:35Speaker 4: going to be, in fact, staying open a couple of
- 23:37Speaker 4: hours later to accommodate everybody.
- 23:40Speaker 1: When you get busy, Do you work the cash register too?
- 23:43Speaker 4: Oh? Yeah, Ery, I do. All of our managers do
- 23:46Speaker 4: we all man a register? We helped back groceries. It's
- 23:48Speaker 4: one of the reasons why I like the grocery business.
- 23:51Speaker 4: And of course when I'm on the register, it's a
- 23:52Speaker 4: little bit different, a different experience. I guess for the customer.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Why do you say that.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Well, I'm the manager of the store as well as
- 24:00Speaker 4: the CEO of the company, so I'm able to kid
- 24:01Speaker 4: with the customers about their food choices.
- 24:03Speaker 1: And have some fun such as.
- 24:06Speaker 4: It's nothing significant. I just I like to care around
- 24:09Speaker 4: with the families that are shopping. I had a family
- 24:13Speaker 4: come through the line yesterday. They had two cart loads,
- 24:16Speaker 4: quite a grocery purchase, and we got some extra bagging
- 24:19Speaker 4: help and they had purchase, my goodness, probably about two
- 24:24Speaker 4: dozen of our sweet corn on the cop because of
- 24:26Speaker 4: the sale price that we have. And I was kidding
- 24:28Speaker 4: with the father. I noticed that when he laughed, he
- 24:31Speaker 4: would show his teeth, and he did not have as
- 24:34Speaker 4: many of us do not have the most perfect teeth
- 24:36Speaker 4: in the world. They were a little bit misaligned or
- 24:39Speaker 4: crooked or overlapping, et cetera. And I remarked to him kiddingly,
- 24:42Speaker 4: I was being light about it. I said, are you
- 24:45Speaker 4: sure you want to buy that corn? Because what happens, though, is,
- 24:48Speaker 4: you know, some of these people who don't have straight teeth,
- 24:50Speaker 4: the corn obviously gets caught in between their teeth and
- 24:53Speaker 4: absolutely and the people and the corn gets and if
- 24:56Speaker 4: you have ever sat at a table with people like this,
- 24:59Speaker 4: it's not I guess it's not the most pleasant experience.
- 25:03Speaker 4: But it was no big deal. So this this man,
- 25:06Speaker 4: it wasn't just a man. There was a couple of
- 25:08Speaker 4: his kids who had over bites in the front teeth
- 25:10Speaker 4: or crooked and everybody's different though. It's a it's an
- 25:13Speaker 4: interesting world.
- 25:14Speaker 1: So you're a kidding around with people that you shouldn't
- 25:16Speaker 1: buy the corn on the cop because you're really going
- 25:17Speaker 1: to have a problem with it getting stuck in your teeth. Man,
- 25:19Speaker 1: I get that problem.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Well, a lot of people do, but I'm kidding. But
- 25:24Speaker 4: if you've ever sat with people who have space or
- 25:26Speaker 4: crooked teeth, I guess you could say, we do, but
- 25:29Speaker 4: we can pretty easily remove the When you're eating corn
- 25:32Speaker 4: on the cop, it's a difficult food to eat to
- 25:34Speaker 4: begin with. If the Good Lord saw fit to give
- 25:38Speaker 4: you space or crooked teeth, teeth that should have been
- 25:41Speaker 4: putting some braces. I guess when you were kids and
- 25:44Speaker 4: you're eating corn on the cop, you're not. I suppose
- 25:47Speaker 4: you're you're not giving people who are eating with you
- 25:50Speaker 4: the most pleasant experience. It could be a little bit unnerving.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Are you saying this because there well, when they smile,
- 25:55Speaker 1: they laugh, okay, and you're being forced to look at
- 25:58Speaker 1: it their crooked teeth, but it can be unnerving.
- 26:02Speaker 4: So I tell people that they might be better off
- 26:04Speaker 4: with anout a choice.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Really, all right?
- 26:06Speaker 1: So you're telling people, when they're in line to buy
- 26:08Speaker 1: the corn on the cob that what they can do
- 26:11Speaker 1: is maybe go back get something else.
- 26:13Speaker 4: No, I'm not telling them anything. They have a right
- 26:15Speaker 4: to buy whatever they want. But I guess what I'm
- 26:18Speaker 4: saying by the same token, I have a right to
- 26:20Speaker 4: my opinion. I do express it, and I express it
- 26:22Speaker 4: so that people in line, other people in line can
- 26:25Speaker 4: hear it.
- 26:26Speaker 1: And plus, all right, now, let me ask you something
- 26:30Speaker 1: because I'm curious about this.
- 26:32Speaker 4: What I'm trying to say is I get around with people.
- 26:34Speaker 1: No, I know, But do you say to people who
- 26:36Speaker 1: are in line who have crooked teeth? How do you
- 26:38Speaker 1: know they have crooked teeth? Well, when you're talking to them,
- 26:40Speaker 1: you'd all right, So you say them, I'd rather you
- 26:43Speaker 1: not buy the corn on the cob. And you're saying
- 26:45Speaker 1: this loud enough for other people in the line to
- 26:46Speaker 1: hear it, right, Yeah, And are you trying to humiliate them.
- 26:51Speaker 4: No, no, no, not at no, No, you're getting the
- 26:53Speaker 4: wrong idea.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Well you say it loud enough so everyone in line
- 26:55Speaker 1: can hear it. Don't buy the corn on the cob
- 26:58Speaker 1: because of your crooked teeth.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Look. Look, the only place that these people get humiliated
- 27:02Speaker 4: when they eat the corn at the family barbecue there,
- 27:05Speaker 4: and they've got crooked teeth and they've got chunks of
- 27:08Speaker 4: chewed corn stuck in. It's not something that I would
- 27:12Speaker 4: choose to sit through. That's all I'm saying. And all right.
- 27:16Speaker 1: One eight hundred four four nine eight six eighty six
- 27:18Speaker 1: talking with Robert Green, who's the CEO of Frasier Foods.
- 27:21Speaker 1: One eight hundred four four nine eighty six eighty six.
- 27:23Speaker 1: We're talking about food choices for the holiday season. But
- 27:26Speaker 1: I just want to stay on this for a minute
- 27:30Speaker 1: because I've never heard of anyone who manages a store,
- 27:33Speaker 1: and I'm sure there's plenty of people in the grocery
- 27:35Speaker 1: business telling people, boy, you might not want to buy
- 27:39Speaker 1: that because it's not pleasant watching you eat it.
- 27:42Speaker 4: I don't say that, I say that you have corn
- 27:46Speaker 4: on the cob there this this man had, I don't
- 27:50Speaker 4: really harp I don't want to harp on this film.
- 27:52Speaker 3: No I don't either.
- 27:53Speaker 1: I'm just curious so the people.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Are in lying.
- 27:56Speaker 4: If a guy comes through my line and he is
- 27:59Speaker 4: by twenty four years of corn on the cob and
- 28:02Speaker 4: he's got a family full of people there who've got
- 28:05Speaker 4: teeth that are obviously, you know, messed up looking, and
- 28:10Speaker 4: you know you're you're gonna say to him, why do
- 28:13Speaker 4: you want to make whoever you're gonna be eating dinner
- 28:15Speaker 4: with sit through the experience of looking at you with
- 28:18Speaker 4: the corn wedge in your teeth? And I know it
- 28:21Speaker 4: sounds funny.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Well you're you're saying this in fun, but you're not
- 28:24Speaker 1: the ones sitting through it.
- 28:25Speaker 2: So why should you?
- 28:26Speaker 1: Why would they have to hear your opinion about their
- 28:27Speaker 1: crooked teeth and eating corn on the cob?
- 28:29Speaker 4: I guess well, it's my store, uh, you know right,
- 28:33Speaker 4: And I'm personally I am personally if you want to
- 28:36Speaker 4: know my honest opinion, I am personally disgusted by people
- 28:40Speaker 4: who have crooked underline teeth, eating corn on the cob
- 28:43Speaker 4: so that the wedges in their teeth. And I've made
- 28:45Speaker 4: a choice not to be a vehicle for that sort
- 28:46Speaker 4: of thing. So if I can see that one of
- 28:49Speaker 4: my customers has badly cared for teeth and they've had
- 28:53Speaker 4: the frankly, the gall to walk into my store and
- 28:58Speaker 4: up to my register with two dozen years of a
- 28:59Speaker 4: brand besuath, the California Yellow or whatever we've got, and
- 29:02Speaker 4: they've got teeth like, you know, three hundred yards of
- 29:06Speaker 4: broken you know, broken railroad. I don't mean to be glip.
- 29:09Speaker 4: I'm going to try to tell our protest manager or
- 29:11Speaker 4: one of the beggars to take it back.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Because what difference does it make to you, I guess
- 29:15Speaker 1: is what I'm asking.
- 29:15Speaker 4: I am not going to be the vehicle, mister Henry,
- 29:18Speaker 4: like Melanie and I went in a Labor Day part
- 29:20Speaker 4: my wife and I went to a Labor day barbecue
- 29:22Speaker 4: last summer and there was a beautiful tray of sweet
- 29:25Speaker 4: corn in the cop that had been barbecued in the
- 29:27Speaker 4: husk and they were passing it around, and I was
- 29:29Speaker 4: sitting across from Jack to Hanson that runs our Portland office.
- 29:32Speaker 4: He's a great guy and his wife, Trudy, we vacation together.
- 29:35Speaker 4: But he has teeth that are going in every direction
- 29:38Speaker 4: and they're very crooked. And I was raised Catholic, and
- 29:42Speaker 4: I remember just saying a silent prayer. I said to
- 29:45Speaker 4: silent hail Mary that the corn tray just pat that
- 29:48Speaker 4: he not take because he's right in front of me.
- 29:51Speaker 4: And it's one of the many times I don't mean
- 29:54Speaker 4: to be I don't want to get personal, but I
- 29:55Speaker 4: guess you could say it's one of the many times
- 29:57Speaker 4: that God's let me down, because sure enough, Jack two
- 30:00Speaker 4: ears of corn, and I said to him, and I
- 30:02Speaker 4: said it as bladely as I could, I would appreciate
- 30:04Speaker 4: it if you not eat that in front of me,
- 30:08Speaker 4: because it's gonna disgust me.
- 30:09Speaker 1: You said that to him, Yes, I did that. It's
- 30:12Speaker 1: going to disgust me because you have crooked teeth.
- 30:15Speaker 4: I never really say because it's got you got crooked teeth.
- 30:18Speaker 4: I will say to people, are you sure you're going
- 30:20Speaker 4: to want to get that? And they say sure, why
- 30:22Speaker 4: I said, because it's very difficult to eat. And then
- 30:26Speaker 4: they'll say, well, okay, but why why are you saying?
- 30:29Speaker 4: I said, well, it's going to be very difficult to eat.
- 30:32Speaker 4: And I imagine you're eating with other people who are
- 30:34Speaker 4: going to have to look at you, and they'll say yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 4: I never come right out and say you've got crooked teeth,
- 30:40Speaker 4: and uh, you know, and here's a guy, Jack Joe Hanson,
- 30:44Speaker 4: who's gonna know, he looks like, a honest to god,
- 30:47Speaker 4: he looks like one of these, you know, a hamster
- 30:49Speaker 4: or a chipmunk with the teeth.
- 30:53Speaker 1: So I find it really hard to imagine the manager
- 30:56Speaker 1: of a grocery store, though, saying to people, are you
- 30:59Speaker 1: sure you're gonna want to eat that corn on the cob?
- 31:02Speaker 1: I happen to have you know, you're not saying you
- 31:04Speaker 1: got crooked teeth.
- 31:05Speaker 4: No, I'm not saying that at all.
- 31:07Speaker 1: You're just saying, are you sure.
- 31:08Speaker 2: You want it?
- 31:09Speaker 4: Yes, I'm saying. And I said I would appreciate it
- 31:12Speaker 4: to Jack and said, don't eat it in front of
- 31:13Speaker 4: me when you're thinking of that corn probably came from
- 31:15Speaker 4: one of our Frazer food out Let's the corn that
- 31:18Speaker 4: he'll be eating. I'm gonna have to look at stuck
- 31:21Speaker 4: in his teeth, And I know it came from one
- 31:22Speaker 4: of my stores. And that's something that is personally as
- 31:25Speaker 4: well as professionally painful, all right.
- 31:28Speaker 1: One eight hundred four four nine eight six eight six
- 31:31Speaker 1: one eight hundred four to four nine eight six eighty
- 31:33Speaker 1: six So the recommendation, I guess is, if you are
- 31:35Speaker 1: a person who doesn't have the best teeth, please don't
- 31:37Speaker 1: eat corn on the cob this this fourth of July.
- 31:40Speaker 4: You get to make things more pleasant for other people.
- 31:43Speaker 1: To make it more pleasant for the people you're eating them.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Here is Aaron on the Phil Henry Show. Aaron, go ahead.
- 31:48Speaker 7: Yeah, I just wanted to say that if I was
- 31:49Speaker 7: in this man's store and he said that to me,
- 31:52Speaker 7: said something about me having crooked teeth, and it would
- 31:55Speaker 7: be rude for me to eat more and in front
- 31:57Speaker 7: of somebody else, I would throw the corn in his
- 32:00Speaker 7: face and walk.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Out of the store.
- 32:02Speaker 7: I think it's absolutely ridiculous.
- 32:03Speaker 4: Well, then you ain't guilty of a crime. You'd be
- 32:05Speaker 4: guilty of a crime. I mean, you're gonna assault me.
- 32:10Speaker 4: I mean all I'm saying to you, I'm suggesting that
- 32:12Speaker 4: it's not pleasant to look at someone like you. And
- 32:15Speaker 4: I don't know, do you have crooked teeth or no,
- 32:18Speaker 4: I don't have crooked teeth. What are you worry what
- 32:22Speaker 4: do you what are you worried about? I don't understand.
- 32:25Speaker 3: You're just rude.
- 32:26Speaker 1: That's a very rude thing for a store manager and
- 32:28Speaker 1: SEEO to do.
- 32:29Speaker 7: You're gonna lose customers that way, It's ridiculous.
- 32:32Speaker 1: That's a good point. What about the customers that are
- 32:34Speaker 1: not going to shop there anymore?
- 32:35Speaker 4: Well, so, look, if you're in my store to buy
- 32:38Speaker 4: corn on the cop and you've got teeth that have
- 32:42Speaker 4: that are messed, that are all jacked up, then no,
- 32:46Speaker 4: I don't want you in my store.
- 32:47Speaker 1: You'll lose the business.
- 32:49Speaker 4: Why am I going to turn loose out into a
- 32:51Speaker 4: Fourth of July barbecue? Someone would jacked up teeth with
- 32:54Speaker 4: corn wedge in it. That's my point that I'm trying
- 32:58Speaker 4: to make.
- 32:59Speaker 8: You don't have to look at the person's teeth.
- 33:01Speaker 7: You don't have the stairs and while they're eating.
- 33:03Speaker 4: No, that's true, but you've been at many Fourth of
- 33:05Speaker 4: July barbecues and I don't even know why I'm still
- 33:08Speaker 4: talking to this lady. She tried to assault me.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Well, did you mean literally you'd throw the corn at him?
- 33:12Speaker 4: Eron, I mean that's what she's talking about. Well, if
- 33:15Speaker 4: he said that's against the law. What if I say
- 33:18Speaker 4: to you, Aaron, you got jacked up teeth, Please don't
- 33:20Speaker 4: buy my corn, and you throw it at me.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I haven't committed a crime you have, Well, you've insulted
- 33:25Speaker 1: this woman.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Though I have not insulted her. I'm suggesting that if
- 33:30Speaker 4: you've got crooked, messed up teeth, and then you have
- 33:34Speaker 4: the unmitigated gall to eat corn on the cobb in
- 33:36Speaker 4: front of people, and they're looking at you while you're going, hey,
- 33:38Speaker 4: how you do it? You know you're grinning at them.
- 33:44Speaker 4: Do you think that's pleasant?
- 33:48Speaker 1: I guess she's gone, Yeah, she's probably. Oh you know what,
- 33:50Speaker 1: I put her on hold. He's still there, Aerin. I'm
- 33:51Speaker 1: sorry I put you on hold by mistake.
- 33:53Speaker 3: No, I'm still here all right.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Anyway, thank you for your call.
- 33:56Speaker 4: Okay, Well, I went I want to hear what she's
- 33:58Speaker 4: about to say. Well, she's well, she doesn't have any
- 34:01Speaker 4: in decadency. So what you got there is someone who
- 34:04Speaker 4: is going to assault me, throw corn at me, or
- 34:07Speaker 4: whatever she said you're going to do simply because I
- 34:09Speaker 4: said to her, would you please not hit that in
- 34:13Speaker 4: front of me?
- 34:16Speaker 1: You know, there's such a thing as fighting words. You've
- 34:18Speaker 1: heard of that? Oh come on, Phil, Well I mean
- 34:20Speaker 1: that maybe that's not it, but you know, provoking someone
- 34:24Speaker 1: like that, I don't believe that.
- 34:26Speaker 4: I am and I think You've got a lot of
- 34:27Speaker 4: listeners who understand what I'm saying, and there's a lot
- 34:29Speaker 4: of store owners out there too. You don't want to.
- 34:31Speaker 4: I want to provide a pleasant experience for my customers.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Someone that walks into my store and he's got these
- 34:37Speaker 4: you know, they what we used to call the gooper
- 34:39Speaker 4: teeth or the or the the billy bob teeth, and
- 34:42Speaker 4: he's gonna buy corn. No, no, no, no, that's not
- 34:45Speaker 4: gonna happen, all right.
- 34:47Speaker 1: One eight hundred four four nine six eighty six. One
- 34:49Speaker 1: eight hundred four four nine eight six eighty six. It's
- 34:52Speaker 1: interesting how conversations will go where I started talking about
- 34:54Speaker 1: picnic fair. Robert Green, the CEO of Frasier Foods, and
- 34:58Speaker 1: he is suggesting this holiday season, if you do not
- 35:03Speaker 1: have the greatest teeth, if you have an overbite, if
- 35:06Speaker 1: you have space teeth, if you've got crooked teeth, that
- 35:09Speaker 1: it that you bypass eating corn on the cop because
- 35:11Speaker 1: it's not a pleasant experience for people to look at
- 35:14Speaker 1: you when you're talking and you've got teeth wedged. I mean,
- 35:17Speaker 1: you got corn wedged in your teeth. One eight hundred
- 35:19Speaker 1: four four nine eight six eight six one eight hundred
- 35:22Speaker 1: four to four nine eighty six eight six Phil Henry Show,
- 35:24Speaker 1: Phil Henry.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Show one eight hundred four four nine eight six eight six.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Whenever you think of them over here, think of me.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Bob Green and his Fourth of July is a special
- 35:33Speaker 1: presentation of Bob Green from two thousand and four. And
- 35:36Speaker 1: the corn on the cob bit is Phil Henry with you,
- 35:38Speaker 1: And don't forget to get a backstage pass at Phil
- 35:41Speaker 1: Henryshow dot com. Phil Hendryshow dot Com backstage pass subscription
- 35:45Speaker 1: for a month or for a year, babait. Well, that's right,
- 35:48Speaker 1: I'm not supposed to be here. I think it was
- 35:50Speaker 1: the general And anyway, one.
- 35:52Speaker 8: Eight hundred four four nine eight six eighty six, the
- 35:54Speaker 8: Phil Hilly Show is back.
- 35:56Speaker 1: That's an interesting thing that you just told me. I'm
- 35:58Speaker 1: talking of Robert Green, CEO of Fraser Foods. Now, you
- 36:03Speaker 1: sometimes worked the register on a very busy weekend. This
- 36:06Speaker 1: Fourth of July weekend obviously is one of the busiest,
- 36:08Speaker 1: as you mentioned.
- 36:10Speaker 4: That is great.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Yeah, all right.
- 36:11Speaker 1: When you see people with crooked teeth buying corn on
- 36:14Speaker 1: the cob, you suggest that they buy something else because
- 36:17Speaker 1: it is your determination.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Uh well, so it's not my determination. Anybody with any
- 36:24Speaker 4: experience in this world, when you look at someone who's
- 36:27Speaker 4: got the teeth on them, like I say, like the
- 36:30Speaker 4: Bubba teeth or the jack Dut teeth, or the three
- 36:32Speaker 4: hundred yards of broken railroad ties or whatever you want
- 36:35Speaker 4: to call it, kind of peak, we all know that
- 36:38Speaker 4: it is thoroughly disgusting to look at them eat corn
- 36:40Speaker 4: on the cop.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Well, I don't know that we all know that, but
- 36:43Speaker 1: I wanted you to tell the story you were telling
- 36:45Speaker 1: me off the air.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Well. My uncle, well, my uncle David, who was a
- 36:51Speaker 4: great influence of man, a terrific men. But my uncle
- 36:53Speaker 4: David had bad teeth. And when I say bad teeth,
- 36:56Speaker 4: I don't mean they were cavity or during it. They
- 36:58Speaker 4: were very crooked. They had wisdom teeth that were not
- 37:01Speaker 4: removed when he was a kid. So his front teeth
- 37:03Speaker 4: sort of collapsed it on themselves and crossed each other,
- 37:06Speaker 4: almost like an axe. If these teeth were absolutely, without question,
- 37:11Speaker 4: the most frightening set of teeth you've ever seen in
- 37:14Speaker 4: your life. And we would have him over for holidays,
- 37:19Speaker 4: summer holidays. He would eat corn on a cop And
- 37:25Speaker 4: I was anorexic as a child from the time I
- 37:29Speaker 4: was eight until the time I was thirteen, primarily because
- 37:32Speaker 4: I didn't want to go near food as a result
- 37:35Speaker 4: of looking at him.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Eat this, you're telling me as a little boy you
- 37:39Speaker 1: ran a EXI.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Between the ages of eight and thirteen. Yeah, when I
- 37:43Speaker 4: looked at him and the way the corn would stick out.
- 37:47Speaker 4: Even as I think of it now, I want to
- 37:50Speaker 4: It's almost as if I want to get out of
- 37:52Speaker 4: my skin. I want to go somewhere, I want to
- 37:54Speaker 4: be someone else. That's what it does to a lot
- 37:57Speaker 4: of people. You look at someone with these teeth that
- 38:01Speaker 4: are destroyed, they're like bombed ruins, and then they have
- 38:07Speaker 4: almost the arrogance to eat corn on the cob. It
- 38:11Speaker 4: is something that can psychically damage a child.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Are you telling me that looking at your uncle who
- 38:17Speaker 1: had crooked teeth eating corn on the cob damaged you? Somehow?
- 38:22Speaker 4: I believe it did, because it is a groke look it.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Do you like bad breath? No, none of us do.
- 38:27Speaker 4: It's the same thing.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Yeah, but I've smelled a lot of bad breath in
- 38:30Speaker 1: my day. It hasn't psychically destroyed me.
- 38:33Speaker 4: When you're a child, I'm saying, when you're a child one.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Eight hundred and four four nine, eight, six eighty six.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Here is Melissa. You're on the Phil Heavy Show with
- 38:42Speaker 1: Robert Green a Fraser foods.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Okay, mister Green.
- 38:46Speaker 7: You are totally out of control and you're I'm surprised
- 38:49Speaker 7: you can keep your store.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Okay, I was interactic.
- 38:53Speaker 4: I haven't made a deal with the company, so I
- 38:56Speaker 4: don't care. Yes you are. You just be quiet and
- 38:58Speaker 4: listen to what I have to say. You have the
- 39:00Speaker 4: nerve to go up to people and to say what
- 39:03Speaker 4: they can't eat. Yeah, yeah, I s the company And
- 39:08Speaker 4: if you don't know what that means, it means I'm
- 39:09Speaker 4: the boss and yeah yeah. And you know, bulship, you
- 39:15Speaker 4: got bad peace. I don't know what to tell you
- 39:17Speaker 4: to go get birations, you know.
- 39:19Speaker 1: And here's Joy on the Phil Henry Show.
- 39:20Speaker 4: Joy.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead, ma'am.
- 39:23Speaker 7: I'm trying to control my laughter, you know. I I
- 39:26Speaker 7: really if you understand, sir, that if you are the
- 39:31Speaker 7: CEO of your company, you really need to understand the
- 39:34Speaker 7: laws of discrimination, because I understand you making the comment
- 39:38Speaker 7: about with you and if it was porn to you,
- 39:43Speaker 7: and that's committing a crime tors, and it's also committing
- 39:47Speaker 7: a crime telling someone they cannot buy something from.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Your story to say that.
- 39:54Speaker 1: As well, hold on, hold on, but don't hold on everybody,
- 39:58Speaker 1: hold on now, people going to be heard one at
- 40:00Speaker 1: a time or else, no one can hear what anybody
- 40:02Speaker 1: is saying. What were you saying, mister Green?
- 40:04Speaker 4: I don't tell them they can't buy the corn. I
- 40:07Speaker 4: suggest strenuously that if they buy the corn and eat
- 40:10Speaker 4: it in front of people, it will damage certain young people.
- 40:15Speaker 7: Well, and what I'm trying to say as well, I
- 40:17Speaker 7: understand your point with your problem, but that is your problem.
- 40:21Speaker 7: And you also need to keep in mind that if
- 40:23Speaker 7: you have a problem with people with jacked up teeth,
- 40:25Speaker 7: they may also have a problem with you being a
- 40:28Speaker 7: person that is not very good looking.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Well, they don't have to shop, they don't have to stop.
- 40:34Speaker 1: You are trying to do something in the conversation when
- 40:37Speaker 1: people are talking over each other. Right, I'm gonna do
- 40:39Speaker 1: it again. Now, what did you say, Bob?
- 40:42Speaker 4: I said, they don't have to shop in my store.
- 40:44Speaker 2: And what is your response to that? Joy?
- 40:46Speaker 7: Well, my point is they don't have to shop in
- 40:49Speaker 7: your store, but they.
- 40:51Speaker 4: Well they're going to have to get out of my store.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Then, well, well, why isn't it discrimination if you weren't
- 40:58Speaker 1: letting people buy corn on the cob because it's disgusting, Well, what's.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Wrong with that? Are you trying to tell me that
- 41:05Speaker 4: I should allow people into my store who are barefoot
- 41:08Speaker 4: or who otherwise violate the rules of the store. No.
- 41:10Speaker 4: And by the same token, if someone walks into my
- 41:13Speaker 4: store with these Billy Bob Gomer teeth and he wants
- 41:15Speaker 4: to buy corn on the cob so that he's got
- 41:17Speaker 4: a half a cob of corn wedged in his teeth,
- 41:20Speaker 4: forget it. It's not gonna happen.
- 41:22Speaker 7: Okay, So what I'm going to tell you, sir, Look,
- 41:24Speaker 7: have you got cracked tea?
- 41:25Speaker 4: You and you got crooked tea? Have you got crooked teeth?
- 41:29Speaker 4: Have you got crooked team? Have you? No? I don't
- 41:32Speaker 4: you got crooked crooked? Don't you understand your point?
- 41:36Speaker 7: I mean, I understand your point that you're disgusted by it.
- 41:38Speaker 4: No, Yeah, I don't know your dude, that's my first
- 41:41Speaker 4: experience with a woman. Let's just shure she had corn
- 41:43Speaker 4: in her teeth.
- 41:43Speaker 7: I understand where you're laughing with that.
- 41:46Speaker 4: Do you know what it's like to a woman things
- 41:49Speaker 4: as well?
- 41:49Speaker 7: I understand that. But I'm understanding that with you doing
- 41:53Speaker 7: what you are doing, you are going to be you
- 41:56Speaker 7: are going to be suit eventually.
- 41:58Speaker 4: I'm just gotting know that. Well, you're not a law
- 42:00Speaker 4: or so how do you know? Well, she doesn't selling
- 42:03Speaker 4: a lawyer to me.
- 42:04Speaker 7: I'm letting you know that eventually.
- 42:06Speaker 4: It will happen, probably as the CEO.
- 42:09Speaker 7: You need to keep that in mind.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 42:11Speaker 1: One eight hundred and four to four nine eight six
- 42:13Speaker 1: eighty six.
- 42:14Speaker 4: Look, let me tell you something. Try going out on
- 42:17Speaker 4: a date with a woman, your first daid and she
- 42:19Speaker 4: smiles at you and joined the evening and she's got
- 42:21Speaker 4: a big thing of corn which between her front teeth.
- 42:24Speaker 4: You're telling me that I won't affect you.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Thanks Bob, Thanks General Jameson, and thank you Margaret, Thank
