  Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield is absolutely on fire. Do you think that

  Speaker 1: of my full of absolutely atrocious things. I was thinking

  Speaker 1: about this this morning, kind of went back into my brain,

  Speaker 1: into my mems. Um, I actually don't think knock on wood,

  Speaker 1: I'm knocking on my head. I don't think I've ever

  Speaker 1: been fired from a job before. I have a great

  Speaker 1: fear of getting in trouble. Okay. My mom was the

  Speaker 1: school secretary at my school, same with my brothers growing up,

  Speaker 1: so none of us ever wanted to get in trouble.

  Speaker 1: So I feel like maybe that's where the fear comes from. Um,
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: but I never got fired. There was one time that
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: I just was not good at this like bar job.

  Speaker 1: I wasn't sing enough, Okay, I didn't want to wear
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: my hues. Wait, it's noting a stripper job, I not. Um,

  Speaker 1: but at this bar that I was working at, you
• 3:02
  Speaker 1: had to wear these nasty high heels that would make
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: your feet her and you had to wear these cute
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: laundrants nebly and I hated it and I was miserable,
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: and I told everyone I was miserable because I didn't care,
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: but I was so collect in that paycheck, okay, And
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: they're like, you know, we're tired of Rachel being miserable.
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: We're not going to fire her, but we're gonna wish.
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: We're gonna make her wish that she was fired. So
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: then they put me on the morning ship every Saturday,
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: every Sunday, and like, maybe girl was twenty as time. Okay,

  Speaker 1: she wasn't feeling good on Saturday mornings and Sunday mornings,
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: if you know what I'm saying. Okay, she had a life.

  Speaker 1: So that was the closest that I got to being fired,
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: And honestly, I wish that I was at that point
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: because I was so miserable. I'd come into I don't
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: know if you guys have ever worked like service jobs before.
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: I think everyone should be a server or work in
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: the service industry at some point in their lives, because
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: there's a lot of y'all are rude to people in
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: the service industry, and you know, you don't know how
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: to tip um. But I you'd come in the morning
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: and and it would still smell like stale, like red
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: bowl vodka on the floor. It was disgusting, and it
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: was the worst job I've ever had. That was the
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: closest that I've come to being fired. But I was
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: thinking about, like, when is the worst time for that
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: to happen. There's never a good time to be fired,
• 4:10
  Speaker 1: but there's definitely terrible times to be fired. And I
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: would say the day after Christmas, Um, it's up there.
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: I would actually put that at number one. Day after
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: Christmas worst time to get fired. The day after Thanksgiving
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: after the Thanksgiving games also terrible time to get fired.

  Speaker 1: First coach fired of the season, unless you're Matt Rule
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: and you're making a ton of money and you just
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: get the you just get the year off. You're like,
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: I'm just kicking out my feet and I'm collecting those checks.

  Speaker 1: Hon Me. I think I've said on this podcast once

  Speaker 1: or twice I wish I was Mat Rule. Um best

  Speaker 1: day to get fired. I would probably say what do
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: they call what do they call it? Black Monday is
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: the day that all the coaches get fired after the
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: regular season. They just like clean house. Um, it's dark,
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: it's dreary. Uh. I feel like that's probably the best time.

  Speaker 1: So you can just fight under the radar and you
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: have friends, you can have like a little support group.

  Speaker 1: But this reminded me of the time I sat down
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: with my good friend Steve Maryucchi. We call him Mucci

  Speaker 1: muchI man mucher muchikins um. He got fired the day
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: after Thanksgiving, and what started off as a very sad
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: story took a little bit of a turn and I
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: actually sat down with him and I got him to
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: record the entire thing from start to finish, um, and
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: just just take a listen. I get let go on Monday.

  Speaker 1: Pretty embarrassing to lose your job in the middle of
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: the season. In fact, I stayed in my tidy white
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: He's fit the looms for three weeks and I did
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: not want to go anywhere, see anybody do anything. So
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: sooner or later he got a snap out of it,
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: and I said, I gotta leave the house. I gotta
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: do something. I gotta get some fresh air. And I
• 5:47
  Speaker 1: learned my wife at a Costo car. So what do
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: they have at Costco. They have those little stations over
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: there that have like sausages on a toothpick. So I
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: would keep one your own, and one real quick from
• 6:01
  Speaker 1: then another aisle the head like cheese and crackers. I mean,
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: you can't just go in the Costco and eat sausage
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: and leave you. That's like eating and running, dining and dashing.
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: You can't do that. And then there was like, fop socks.
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: I bought six long tubes off like four or six
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: food sauce is a good deal. So I love so much.
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: This man was so down, bad and just so depressed
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: that he just stared at the wall for three weeks.
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: In the first time he left his house was to
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: go to Costco to eat some sausages, some cheese and crackers,
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: and he felt bad, so he bought a pair of
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: song But I had a really beautiful story at the
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: end because once he got fired, NFL Network came calling
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: and said, muci man, you want to come hang out
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: an NFL network. You want to cover the super Bowl.
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: And he hasn't left since, and really quick story, that's
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: really cute. I played that during game day morning when
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: we're all together and he sorrand Co. I was like,

  Speaker 1: not really the reaction that I was hoping my comedy elicits,
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: but forget about that. Um So here's to Nathaniel Hackett

  Speaker 1: being asked to join some network somewhere and finding his
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: people because being fired the day after Christmas is not fun.

  Speaker 1: the Eagles are on all around great team. Cowboys have

  Speaker 1: had some rough weeks. Who do they play? The Texans?

  Speaker 1: The Jags, they had some really wonky games. So I'm

  Speaker 1: obviously going Cowboys here because I think that they're going

  Speaker 1: to turn things around the end of the season. Also,

  Speaker 1: the Titans are just you know, Graver said he's lost hope,

  Speaker 1: and if he's lost hope, we should all lose hope.
